Hello and welcome to another Monday Motivation.
Heather MastersI'm Heather Masters and today we're diving into a powerful concept of being able to rewrite your own life script, to reframe those negatives into positives, transforming your thoughts, your actions, and ultimately your results.
Heather MastersNow, it's said that you can't rewrite the past, but we can always rewrite how we see the past.
Heather MastersWe can go back into our history and look at things that may have felt terrible at the time and look for the positive for the lesson and rewrite it so that we remove all of the negative emotions that we might be holding on to and just keep kind of reading and rewriting our past so that we, we build a different state on which we can springboard into the future.
Heather MastersBecause life's full of challenges and setbacks and it's easy to fall into the trap of continuous negative thinking.
Heather MastersSo if we interpret our experiences in a different way, then everything else can change for us.
Heather MastersAnd that's where the rewriting really helps on conscious and unconscious level.
Heather MastersSo let's start by actually doing an exercise and reframing some of those negatives because we're starting a brand new week.
Heather MastersSo let's have a think about how you ended last week.
Heather MastersSo instead of saying, I failed at my project, try saying, I learned some valuable lessons last week which will help me succeed in the coming week.
Heather MastersAnd that small shift in perspective can really help you create a powerful week for yourself and set yourself up for success this week and acknowledge the capabilities that you already have.
Heather MastersSo when we focus on the positives, we open ourselves up to new possibilities.
Heather MastersRemember, often takes more energy to keep a negative story going than it does to embrace a positive one.
Heather MastersBecause if you think about it, maintaining that negative state drains your energy.
Heather MastersIt's heavy.
Heather MastersIt feels like you're carrying a lot of baggage and it keeps you stuck in a cycle of self doubt and frustration.
Heather MastersAnd that's what kind of prevents you from seeing what the other possibilities are, because you're so narrowly focused on the negative.
Heather MastersBut when you choose positivity, that's kind of an opening.
Heather MastersIt opens up, you fuel your motivation and creativity and you open yourself up to see the opportunities and possibilities that maybe have always been there, but you weren't in the frame of mind to be able to see them.
Heather MastersSo how do we start with the transformation?
Heather MastersThe first step is to understand that the key to your change, to all change, is action.
Heather MastersWriting your own life, script write, rewriting your past and writing your future requires you to take tangible steps before the toward your goals.
Heather MastersSo I know I keep on about journaling and I'm only really mentioning it a lot because it's something that is powerfully changing my life at the moment.
Heather MastersSo the what I'm going to suggest is that we start by journaling.
Heather MastersYou write down your thoughts and feelings, identify the negative ones that hold you back.
Heather MastersThen for each negative thought, write a positive counter narrative.
Heather MastersAnd it isn't just about thinking positively.
Heather MastersIt's about creating a new story for yourself.
Heather MastersThis thing about journaling and writing something down that we are concretizing our thoughts, we're putting it out into the 3D world, we're recording it on paper, we're using words.
Heather MastersSo we're speaking, spelling it if you like.
Heather MastersSo if you think about the week coming up and brainstorm the thoughts that immediately come to you, if there are negative ones there, then how can you rewrite them so that the alternative is there instead?
Heather MastersSo take action.
Heather MastersWhether it's picking up a new hobby, reaching out to someone to support, or setting your small daily and weekly goals, every action counts.
Heather MastersSo from your list for this week, pull out the things that you're going to commit to to do and put all of the positive reasons that you know that can happen for you.
Heather MastersAnd remember, progress.
Heather MastersProgress is progress, no matter how small.
Heather MastersAnd every time you take action based on your new script, based on this script for the week, you reinforce that positive narrative in your mind.
Heather MastersYou reinforce it unconsciously.
Heather MastersYou're not just thinking differently, you're living differently.
Heather MastersAnd you're training your unconscious mind to see the world differently.
Heather MastersSurround yourself with positivity.
Heather MastersMake sure you're engaging with people on a consistent basis who uplift and inspire you.
Heather MastersShare your new script with them and encourage them to do the same.
Heather MastersAnd together you can create an environment that fosters growth and positivity.
Heather MastersSo find, if you like, an accountability buddy who's going to do the same for this week.
Heather MastersAnd keep a note of how the week turns out, of the positive changes, the miracles, if you like, allow them miracles to happen.
Heather MastersI've seen some amazing miracles over the past week just with doing this process for myself.
Heather MastersSo this week I challenge you to rewrite your life script and your scripts for this week and how you want it to turn out.
Heather MastersEmbrace the positives, take action and watch as your thoughts transform into powerful results.
Heather MastersAnd remember, your story is yours to rewrite, both the past, the present and the future.
