Thanks for joining me today. Happy Wednesday, everybody, man, here in the Pacific Northwest where I'm located. I'm so excited. We have had a week or two of kind of fifties and rain and on Friday, it's going to be 90 degrees into me.

[00:00:58] Eric Goranson: That's feeling like summertime [00:01:00] and I can't wait. I got so many projects around here. I want to work on and I can't wait for some nice hot days to do it. Yeah. And, uh, we can get this place dried out a little bit. I'm not complaining though. We needed that wet weather because otherwise we're going into fire season in a really bad spot.

[00:01:15] Eric Goranson: And I don't want another one of those with people losing their homes here in the Pacific Northwest. I hope everybody's doing well. Thanks for joining me today. I wanted to talk a little bit about something that's coming up in this weekend's TV show, but it's something that I tested. And these guys sent it to me about a month ago.

[00:01:30] Eric Goranson: So this has been a long term test. But coming up into mother's day and father's day or whatever holiday, this is an expensive one, but I tell you what, it's not when you look at it and look at it. So I tested out a new robotic. Vacuum cleaner. Basically it is a eight and one vacuum cleaner that's robotic that tackles your floors.

[00:01:53] Eric Goranson: Now I have some challenges. I have hardwood floors. I have two big dogs, one of them sheds like [00:02:00] nobody's business. And so this is what robotic vacuum cleaners nemesis are. Because, I tell you what, that longer dog hair tends to really gum up most vacuums. And so I tested the Roborock S8 Max V Ultra Robot.

[00:02:18] Eric Goranson: And I tell you what, this thing is absolutely insane. So what, it is a robotic vacuum, and here's what's crazy about this, this will vacuum your carpets, scrub your floors. If you have like hardwood or vinyl or tile, it'll scrub that. And it is absolutely insane. So what this thing does is it will go through and it basically it's just clean what they say S eight max V ultra is cleaning beyond limits.

[00:02:51] Eric Goranson: And this thing is crazy. So this here has all these different technologies with it. So it has this edge to edge cleaning where it has this little [00:03:00] rotating brush that gets all the corners. It's got their reactive AI 2. 0 obstacle recognition. It's got the voice assistant. It's got all these different things.

[00:03:12] Eric Goranson: And I tell you what, I will be the first to say this. So this is the S8 Max V Ultra with the refill and drainage system. So basically you take it out of the box, set it up, put the app on your phone, and then it has a freshwater tank. It has a dirty water tank, and it has a vacuum bag that's in the station, and it automatically empties itself.

[00:03:35] Eric Goranson: So you could sit there and wash this good size floor, Two or three times without having to do this. And it's got its own cleaning agent stuff that goes in there. So that way it scrubs the floors and it is cool. So it will do a hot water mop on the floors using a little bit of water. And then it dries it as it's going.

[00:03:53] Eric Goranson: And so it's really cool. So it's got this dual roller riser brush that goes through there and scrubs [00:04:00] everything. And it's an all in one system, basically. And it has its own hello, Rocky intelligent voice assistant. And I tell you what, this thing with the side brush, clean it up against the corners. And everything else, this is absolutely insane how well this thing works.

[00:04:19] Eric Goranson: So it'll do the little brush on the side does 185 RPM, just cleans it all. And what's crazy is you can be going across the floor, this hardwood and roll right up against carpet and it keeps going, but it's not mopping the carpet either. So that's the cool part. So you don't have to worry about what carpets and stuff are damaging the carpets that way.

[00:04:38] Eric Goranson: It'll just keep vacuuming. And I did a test on the show, which you'll see where I basically put down a. A couple of tablespoons full of flour and then poured a coffee creamer over the top of it to try to create a sticky mess that cleaned it up like nobody's business. So here's the thing. I think this thing is absolutely incredible.

[00:04:56] Eric Goranson: It's got great suction. It's designed for hair and carpets. [00:05:00] It'll take up 99. 5 percent hair pickup. Using its carpet boost system. It just mops and cleans. This thing's absolutely insane. Now here's the thing, and this isn't going to be for everybody, but if you look at it from my perspective, this where this is where I think it's great, it's about 1800 bucks and I have had a lot of different brands, including huge companies out there that were sent to me that were.

[00:05:27] Eric Goranson: Didn't last. I had one brand that is a big appliance manufacturer that sent me one and within six months, it had already gone back to the shop and I had sent it back a second time within its one year warranty. It just didn't hold up. This thing here, absolutely amazing. And I tell you what, it's about 1800 bucks, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than paying a house cleaner to come by your house.

[00:05:50] Eric Goranson: And clean it up and there is no question this thing does better than my meticulous Get out the broom get out the [00:06:00] vacuum get out everything and get the get a hand mopped This just does a better job. Check her out. Check this thing out. It's made by roborock r o b o R o c k and if you're looking for something special for mom For for dad for father's day for the single dads out there You This thing is absolutely amazing and it has definitely been the best product I've reviewed yet.

[00:06:25] Eric Goranson: And thanks to Roborock, they didn't pay me to say this, but they sent me one to test out. And this thing is the next generation of cleaning and for it to get dog hair and not have dog hair piles up or not have it get plugged up every single week, I can go through and have the floors Mopped, you know, once or twice a day when we have a lot of traffic in and out or a couple of times a week.

[00:06:45] Eric Goranson: And I tell you what, this thing just handles it. So really impressive. Check it out from Roborock. You can get it online. [00:07:41] Eric Goranson: And we started out with four different primers. If you're tackling that exterior paint project. And then we also talked about fence planning. If you're going around and you're designing that fence, where do you start? How do you find the property line? What are some of the rules that you might need to check on in your area?

[00:07:57] Eric Goranson: All those things before you dig [00:08:00] the first hole, how do you place it? Where does it go? We talk about that last week. I talked with Craig Elworthy. About a lawn bright about a great lawn care system. You don't have to have the big sprayers and pay companies anymore, but you've got a subscription model here where you can pay just a little bit instead of that big spring monthly fee that you pay to your lawn care people, and they'll send you a organic hose in sprayer.

[00:08:25] Eric Goranson: That will put all the right stuff down on your lawn using soil testing. It's so much better than a lot of those big companies that just pull up out front, get out the hose reel, spray some unknown chemical on your yard and run off. And then we had a fun one. We decided to test some tarps. So we went through.

[00:08:41] Eric Goranson: And took different tarps and thought, let's see how we can do this and see if we can make something work. What's a good tarp thickness. What's not. And so we went through and tested a bunch of different tarps out there. And then we also started talking about push to connect plumbing fittings and all that different stuff.

[00:08:57] Eric Goranson: So lots of stuff. I tried out the new, which you heard [00:09:00] about on this show, the work IQ vice. We installed that. That was really cool. And we've had a lot of different stuff over the last few months. And so we're at 380 videos over there. [00:10:15] Eric Goranson: And that is that new concrete mixer that basically mixes it for you puts in the right water and sends it out a shoot down into the hole or pad or whatever you're doing.
