Welcome back to another episode of health hack as I continue talking about hydration, and if you're just tuning in, I recommend you go back to Episode 379. And start at the beginning. This is episode 387. They're all quick little snippets, giving you lots of ways that proper hydration is benefiting your health. And I have two more for you here today. One of them is the prevention of headaches. It is common when we get headaches that it's simply because of hydration the brain is largely made up of fat and water. And if we don't have enough water, then that can cause the squeezing as the baht as the brain starts to dry out and give us a little bit of a headache. And I know this is definitely a go to for me that if I start getting a headache, I will start making sure that I'm hydrating enough and very often the headache will simply go away. Particularly important on hot days where we're perhaps hydrating to our normal amount. However, because it's so hot, we're not hydrating extra and the body is sweating more so we have to make sure we're hydrating enough. The other one is supporting our immune system. Because water helps to transport immune cells throughout the body contributing to a well functioning immune system and reducing our risk of illness. And in previous episodes, I've also talked about the benefit of hydration when it comes to supporting the gut 70% of your immune system is housed in your gut. So hydration is critically important for our immune system. And for those of you that struggle with headaches, are you hydrating enough?
