Meanwhile, winter weather is the main story.

National Weather Service winter storm warnings remain posted in parts of the upper Midwest with impacts focused on heavy snow, strong winds and hazardous travel on the West Coast.

The National Weather Service is also flagging flood and debris flow concerns in portions of Southern California, especially near recent burn scars alongside mountain snow and wind impacts.

Let's run through the states.

In Alaska, the National Weather Service posts winter weather advisories in parts of the interior this morning with conditions that can create slick roads and reduced visibility.

California leads today with flood and winter weather impacts.

The National Weather Service in the Los Angeles Oxnard area issues a flood watch early this morning covering portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, including coastal and valley areas, especially where runoff can move quickly.

At the same time, a winter storm warning is posted for higher elevations and foothill corridors in the region with accumulating snow and gusty winds that can make passes and the Grapevine area hazardous.

Florida's update is localized but important.

Florida Governmental Utility Authority reports a water main break in Lehigh Acres with a precautionary boil water advisory now in effect for impacted customers.

In Georgia, the City of Fayetteville posts an updated boil water advisory affecting customers along Lafayette Avenue between Tiger trail and Highway 85 after a repair and low pressure issues.

Minnesota is under active winter impacts.

The National Weather Service posts a winter storm warning for parts of the Northland, including areas around Duluth and Hibbing, with heavy snow and conditions that can quickly turn travel dangerous.

Oregon's Actionable Item the City of Medford issues a severe weather event declaration and opens a severe weather shelter for overnight lodging tonight and tomorrow night.

A shelter is listed at 332 W. 6th street operating 5:30pm to 8:30am and the city is sharing updates by text alerts Pennsylvania has a localized public health notice.

Shaler Township area residents are under a boilwater advisory following a water main break that cannot be immediately repaired.

Virginia's key issue this morning, Danville issues a citywide boil water advisory directing customers to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking until further notice.
