The IDGAF of midlife is not underrated. Yes.
Roxy ManningWe are giving so much fewer Fs than we ever did before, right?
Veronica WebbMm. It was a shoot for Vogue in Times Square in July, and it was so hot that I threw up and passed out in the middle of Times Square. Thank God it was before cell phones. No one has a bad picture of that.
Roxy ManningWe got away with so much before cell phones, didn't we? We just like to end the episode with a little fun game. Just a couple questions. It's really fun, and it's just kind of going through, you know, like, your experience and just say the first thing that comes to mind.
Veronica WebbYou got it.
Roxy ManningOkay. Who had the best energy on a modeling set? Who do you think, like, had the
Veronica Webbbest on a modeling set? There's so many different characters. Let me see the best energy on a modeling set. Tyra Banks.
Roxy ManningOh, really? Tyra? Was it just like, her personality and just.
Veronica WebbShe has a fabulous personality. She's so much fun. She's such a great girl.
Roxy ManningHow fun. Okay. The most glamorous job you ever booked
Veronica Webbdoing a fashion show for Princess Caroline of Monaco and her friends in Karl Lagerfeld's apartment in the Rockabella in Monaco.
Roxy ManningStop. Wow. That must have been. Is it one of those moments where you're just kind of like, I can't believe I'm here, or are you just taking me?
Veronica WebbIt still almost doesn't feel real.
Roxy ManningI mean, that's like royalty, basically. I mean, hello. That's amazing. What was the least glamorous modeling moment? No one would ever believe.
Veronica WebbOh, there were so many. Let's see. Thank God it was at a time before cell phones. But let's see. It was a shoot for Vogue in Times Square in July wearing, if you've ever seen, Unzipped the outfit that I was wearing that had the. That. That had the thighs, that had the thigh high suede boots and the kind of lamb fur strapless dress. I was wearing it in Times Square for a Vogue shoot in July, and it was so hot that I threw up and passed out in the middle of Times Square.
Roxy ManningNo, you didn't.
Veronica WebbIt was over 100 degrees.
Roxy ManningOh, my God. And in fur and suede. Yeah, that's.
Veronica WebbThank God it was before cell phones. No one has a bad picture of that.
Roxy ManningWe got away with so much before cell phones, didn't we? A lot?
Veronica WebbWe sure did. Yes.
Roxy ManningA beauty rule that you completely ignore now.
Veronica WebbNot completely ignore, but I have to say, sometimes I do go to sleep with my makeup on.
Roxy ManningYou do not you do sometimes.
Veronica WebbYou do Sometimes.
Roxy ManningHow does your skin look so good then?
Veronica WebbI don't do it all the time.
Roxy ManningOkay. Just, like, once in a while. Okay. Okay. A moment. You felt truly powerful in your career.
Veronica WebbWhen I signed my Revlon contract in 1992 and I knew where my money was coming from for the next four years. Wow.
Roxy ManningDid you know it was going to be that culturally impactful at the time when you did? Okay, that was. Yeah. That was huge. That was huge. Who were you always genuinely happy to see at a shoot or an event? Like, were there certain girls or, you know, know, friends?
Veronica WebbPat Cleveland. Pat Cleveland.
Roxy ManningIconic. Iconic, for sure.
Veronica WebbYes.
Roxy ManningAnd something about midlife that is way more fun than your younger years.
Veronica WebbThe IDGAF of midlife is not underrated. Yes.
Roxy ManningWe are giving so much fewer Fs than we ever did before, right?
Veronica WebbLess than zero.
Roxy ManningLess than zero.
Veronica Webb100%.
