What would happen if 10,000 believers actually believed God would move when they prayed and then acted on it in their work, in their family, in their community?

That's what our guest today is going to share with us.

Amen.

I'm joined today by pastor and evangelist John Green of the In Jesus Name Ministries.

Man, I love that name.

A man who's not just preaching around the world, but he's on a mission this year to raise up to 10,000 prayer warriors, folks who will take their faith off the church pew and into the battlefield of daily life.

We're talking about prayer power, not just in church, but in your work and in your family and your business and your finances, in your community.

I mean, Pastor John believes God still heals and he does, still delivers and he does still moves when his people pray, and he does.

And today we're going to dive into why prayer is basically the engine room of revival in your life and how you can step into your calling as a prayer warrior right now.

With that being said, help me.

Welcome to the program, Pastor John Green.

Pastor, thank you for taking the time to join us today, brother.

Thank you so much, Pastor Bob.

And to the audience, what an amazing opportunity to be here with you and knowing that this whole topic of the power prayer in Jesus name is going to be something that's going to revolutionize your life if it hasn't yet?

Because we're believing that God has something so special and so dynamic and so beautiful that you're going to be part of that.

And my prayer is that you too will be part of those 10,000 prayer warriors and shake our world.

Amen.

Well, the first question I always start with is this.

Other than that brief information I just shared, tell us in your own words, who is Pastor John Green?

Well, thank you, Pastor Bob.

Well, yes, my name is John Green.

I was born in South America, in Chile, South America, back in 1965.

And.

And.

But then, of course, while When I was 8 years old in 73, my father and my mother, they wanted to come to a new frontier.

And they selected by the Lord's leading to come to Australia.

And I've got another brother and two sisters.

So all of us as a family, we came here and arrived in 1973.

And that was amazing because it was a new beginning for us.

We knew no English, just Spanish.

But, you know, the Lord had everything prepared because when we arrived to Australia, just a few months after we had arrived and settled down, we went to our first Spanish Baptist church and we had our cousins there, and we began to really get to know the Spanish community back in those years.

And that's where really I was raised, up in the Baptist church, in the Spanish Baptist Church.

So now, of course, we're 20, 25.

And, you know, I've been here in Australia for 52 years.

And it's been a real blessing to know that God can take you from where you are.

And once he has, of course, that plan for your life and for your family, he will take you where he needs to take you so you can, along the journey, get to know him.

And through that journey, really transform your life.

So I'm praising God that I can share this with you there and.

But, yeah, so it's been a great journey and I'll be sharing a little bit more about that.

But, oh, yeah, that's where I come from.

Let's jump right into this.

Why is prayer so important for.

For Christians today, especially in a world that's moving so fast that folks barely take time to breathe?

My goodness.

You know, that's a great question.

And the power of prayer, prayer for Christians.

You know, I was thinking about that for a while, because when we learn about prayer, we learn by observation.

First of all, I remember when I became a Christian, I was just 11 years old, and I received the Lord Jesus in my heart.

At that age, I heard the Gospel so clearly, and it was on John 3:16, and the Holy Spirit was already working in my heart and bringing that conviction of.

Of the reality of what God had done for me through the Lord Jesus Christ and that salvation coming to me.

So at 11 years old, I received the Lord Jesus and that was the best day of my life.

It was so beautiful, so amazing.

And I could feel, you know, the presence of the Holy Spirit and Him working in me.

But then as a new Christian, you know, I'm in My church.

And I was going there on Wednesdays and Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday morning and Sunday evening.

And of course, what was fascinating for me was that we can talk to God.

And the first thing that I learned was by observation, just watching others to see how they prayed.

And this began to grow in me.

And then of course I did.

I thought, you know, praying to God was just, I don't know, just saying a few words and, and that's it.

I, at first I didn't understand it fully, but I saw it and that was powerful for me.

But then as time went on, and especially with my Sunday school teachers, they were just teaching us from God's Word how important it is for us that God speaks to us through His Word.

God is speaking to us.

And we're learning more about God and more about his person and more about his attributes and so many things in the Word of God.

And they were saying this is how God is speaking to us through His Word.

And in the same way, we need to speak to him, we need to share our heart.

We need to share and express what's inside of us and talk to Him.

And that was a beautiful revelation.

You know, when you start off and then you begin to pray in a very simple way, but with faith, then you learn the elements of faith, that faith must be there because faith is trusting.

Well, you got to trust God.

You got to believe that he is, and He's a rewarder for those who believe in Him.

My faith was a childlike faith as I began to pray.

And I say that too, even in families, as I visit families.

I've been in ministry for 35 plus years.

And as I visit families and I look at children and I look at the young people, even the elderly, when we talk about this element of prayer, I tell them prayer is so vital, so important, because it's not just going to church and hearing a sermon.

You got to first open the word of God and get into the word of God and then ask the Lord, Lord and the Holy Spirit, reveal your truth to my heart.

I want to learn, I want to draw close to you.

And then I say the important sin after that is to learn how to speak to God, how to share your heart and how to draw close to him.

And then begins the work of the Holy Spirit, because even the Holy Spirit has to help us.

He does it with great yearnings, you know, and to put the desire that's in our heart, to put it according to the will of God before His presence.

Because sometimes we don't have the words to express what's happening inside of us.

And we need his.

We need his help.

And when we learn to pray, we learn to pray in such a great way, because then we learn that there is a connection.

Prayer is a connection.

The Bible says, draw near to me.

This is what the Lord says in James, and I will draw near to you.

Now, when I understood this verse, you know, in a much deeper way back in 2009, I mean, I had read it hundreds of times, but when you begin to really mature and growing prayer, and then you really learn that, what it really means, I mean, if you just meditate on that, draw near to me, and I will draw near to you.

And as I was meditating on that, I said, well, that means that I can have not only a connection, but a relationship with God.

Amen.

Yeah, a relationship.

And he wants to draw close to us, but he asked us to take the initiative.

We need to take the initiative, you know, because sometimes we rush into things and we do a quick prayer and we think, that's enough.

And.

But the Lord said, no, you need to draw closer to me.

Yeah, Amen.

That brings me to my next question, because you share.

Many believers want to pray, but they feel like something's basically holding them back.

What do you see as the biggest barrier keeping Christians from seeking God deeply so they can be more effective in their callings?

I think one of the things that it doesn't seem harmful, but the enemy uses a lot, it's the comfort and distraction.

Sometimes we're just too comfortable and we get too distracted with things that are happening in our life.

Even scrolling on the mobile phone.

You know, people now are just scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.

And then you realize, wow, an hour has gone by, two hours has gone by, and we're so busy with that and so many other things.

And this keeps us away from really developing a relationship with God.

That's one of the things.

The other one is the comparison with others.

We like to.

Sometimes we get stuck into this idea of compare myself to others.

And the Lord knows the Lord wants your heart.

He has created you.

He wants your heart.

He wants your person to draw close to him.

Even if there is frustration like I was feeling back in 2009, you know, that I was pastoring a church.

Imagine I was a pastor pastoring my church.

And I knew I was busy as a pastor.

I was visiting, I was going to hospitals.

I was casting the vision for my church.

I was training, I was discipling.

I was doing leadership training, conferences, preaching on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

And Sundays, I was busier with all that doing God's work.

And yet the Lord was saying, I need time with you.

Yeah, I need time with you.

And even as a pastor, I had to learn to slow down to spend more time with the Lord.

And of course, you know how that happens.

Sometimes the Lord has to bring a great frustration in your heart, great frustration, because he needs to guide you back to prayer, you know, and when we're distracted and when we're too comfortable and we're in our comfort zone, this is very dangerous.

Because the enemy loves that.

If he catches us in a comfort zone, he says, that's great, because they're not going to be effective.

They're not going to be doing much for the Lord.

You know, they're going to be going to church a little bit here and there.

Yeah, you're so busy that, you know, you're like, I have to do this and I have to do this, and I have to do this and I have to do this.

And the Holy Spirit saying, but, but, but, but I'll get to you later, you know, I, I, I'll pray later, you know, and just say, but if you go down that road, something bad's gonna happen.

I'll talk to you later.

I got, I got a meeting to go to, you know, and then something happens.

And Jesus, like, told you.

We have a relationship with the Holy Spirit.

If we don't spend time in prayer and, and things.

And the other thing I think is also, it almost seems innocent, but it's a confidence crisis, I call it.

And this is the lack of confidence to come in before the Lord, because sometimes we think, okay, my past is not very good.

I feel shame of it.

I fail the Lord.

And again, we're getting to.

I tell my people here.

Sometimes we get into the pity party mode, where I have a little cake with a candle, the pity party candle, and I'm blowing the candle.

And yet the Lord says, wait a minute, I've provided everything for you to come to me.

He even says, come confidently to the throne of grace.

And sometimes because of our failures or because of situations that have happened, we cut short that element of saying, no, I, I can come confident before the Lord in the name of Jesus.

And the Lord is waiting for me.

The Lord wants to have that fellowship with me.

And when we do this, we honor the Lord and the Holy Spirit can really begin to move inside of us and guide us and lead us.

But a lot of it is just, we stop ourselves.

You know, we put that limit, and the Lord does invite us.

He can use all of us, every single one of you out there at work, as moms, as parents, as entrepreneurs, as students.

I tell the elderly people, he wants to use you like never before.

I said, think about Caleb.

They were in the 80s when they took the people to, you know, second generation, to the promised land, and they didn't use.

And even Caleb said, hey, give me that mountain.

I'm 80, but I feel like I'm 40 and I can serve the Lord.

And all of that has got to do with prayer and our relationship.

And when we see it as a relationship with God and we come to him and say, lord, I want to develop this relationship with you.

I understand that it's not a ritual.

It's not just, you know, I go to church, I say a little prayer, and that's it.

The Lord and Holy Spirit has got to be our best friend.

Amen.

You share that.

Many believers want to pray but feel like something's holding them back.

I mean, what is that biggest barrier that stops people from being more effective in their calling?

Well, you know, like I said, it's.

It's sometimes our wrong perspective of what prayer is.

First of all, because we're not understanding that prayer is a relationship.

And our flesh, of course, our flesh, you know, doesn't want to pray.

Our flesh was whatever, right inside of us.

So if we just submit to our desires in our flesh, it's not going to happen.

Sometimes the Lord is going to use lots of pressure to take us to the place of prayer so we can learn how to enjoy that relationship with God.

And even sin, for example, sin in our life can really stop us, because when we're not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we become more sensitive to things that are in the world, right?

And we begin to mix things up.

And then we start feeling bad.

We start feeling, you know, guilt and shame and all that.

And that instead of us moving us forward and understanding that the Lord is waiting for us, we just pull back.

And plus, you have the.

The what will other people think?

Mentality, too, you know, and we talked a little bit about that before recording.

You know, when.

When you, you know, especially both of us coming from the Baptist church background, you know, and you're like, lord, if I lay hands on this person right now, what's everybody going to think?

And, you know, and you got to understand Jesus saying, I don't care what they think.

Yeah, that's on them, you know, so.

Yeah, and I think that's the outcome.

The outcome of.

Of developing that prayer relationship with the Lord and with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

When you develop that in such a beautiful way, the Lord will come to you because this is a connection you draw, and you make a decision to draw close to the Lord.

You see what happened to me, for example, in 2009, the Lord was calling me to go in to that secret place and to seek with him.

Not because God was hiding, but my heart needed to realign with His.

My heart was somewhere else.

I was just busy ministry.

But the Lord wanted my full heart so he can use me, right?

He took me to a place where there was so much frustration.

I had a list.

I put a whole list on a paper.

Lord, this is not working in my church.

And this and that, and the people here and there and that.

And I went with Elise to the Lord in prayer the first time I went there, you know, and I was so frustrated, but I was pouring my heart out to him.

Okay?

And you know what?

The important thing is that even the Lord sees your frustration.

Even if you start with frustration, that's okay.

You're beginning.

But the important thing, at the end of the first month of me carrying that paper, the Lord said, the Holy Spirit said, get rid of that list.

The problem is not the people.

This is what he said.

The problem is not the people in your list.

The problem is you.

Yes, it's always us.

What do you mean, Lord?

I'm a pastor.

I'm doing everything I said.

Yes, but the problem is, is you're not understanding that I want my glory to flow.

Yeah, and stopping that glory because of your wrong theology, the way you were thinking how I work, and I need to work with you first.

Amen.

Praise God.

That goes right into, you know, because a lot of people hear stories of healing and deliverance, and they just tell themselves, well, I can't do that.

They'll wonder, can I?

Can me?

Little old me, can I actually learn to pray for people who are sick and see God move?

I mean, what are other people going to think if I start believing that?

What would you say to that person today who.

Who feels they're unqualified, but they're really hungry to learn?

The Lord is the one that will qualify you.

He does it.

And the way to do that is by, first of all, walking with him in prayer and then understanding who you are in Christ.

This is foundational understanding that he has already given you the authority and the power and that we already have the presence of the Holy Spirit inside of us.

Everything Jesus did was under the power of the Holy Spirit.

And we have the Holy Spirit.

So we have to work now in the aspect of faith.

Trust in the Lord, believe what he says.

I had to go back to the New Testament and begin to see the first, you know, the Gospels and see how the Lord prayed for people.

And it's all in the word of God.

So every passage, in every part, that the Lord was doing healings and miracles and even told his disciples In Matthew chapter 10, he said, I've given you authority and power to heal the sick, you know, and to cast out demons.

And in my Baptist background, you know, they used to think, oh, that's only for the apostles.

And it's only for that time in the first century.

But then the Lord corrected me, no, this is for my church.

This is for the price.

It's not just for some anointed.

This is for the whole church.

I'm teaching the Book of Acts now to a group of people in our church.

And the Book of Acts is all about miracles, signs and the works of the Holy Spirit.

And the church moving in power, preaching the gospel and the supernatural is happening.

The Holy Spirit is moving through them.

Angels are active.

That should be the normal thing for us.

And when you according to say, okay, I'm going to do exactly what the Lord is going to, you know, has taught here.

I want to do that, Lord, and I will stand up and be bold in the power of the Holy Spirit.

And you just begin to pray.

And I always tell.

We were talking about this.

I tell believers, you got to learn to pray with your eyes open.

You got to learn.

You know, the Lord told me, you got to talk to the mountain, talk to the problem.

I remember the first time that after I had my encounter with the Lord, after those three months of prayer, I had a beautiful encounter with the Lord face to face.

And then the Lord said, okay, now it's time to pray for people.

And I'm going to send you people that are demon possessed.

Now, in the Baptist church, that does not happen.

You just.

That's unheard of, right?

Even from.

So the Lord was teaching me.

He says, I'm going to bring you people that are hurting, that are in trauma, that have gone through lots of things.

And what you have to do is to trust me, give me the glory.

I will be with you.

He was saying, I'm going to be right next to you.

But you speak to that mountain, you speak to that spirit and cast it out, get rid of it in the name of Jesus.

And I remember the first time a Ukrainian lady Came to our church.

She was about 2 meters tall and she was about to kill her partner.

She had a pistol in her purse and she told me, I'm going to kill him.

I'm going to kill him.

But before I kill him, I'm coming here to church to pray.

Because she wanted to pray in her own way and before she went out to kill him.

And anyway, long story short, she's praying in the church.

I opened the door of the church, you know, it was only me, her and her friend.

And she was kneeling down at the altar and to the cross and all that and praying, and she was.

And then the Lord showed me she's got an evil spirit, a spirit of death in her.

Cast it out.

This is the first time.

And I'm in my little Baptist church in there, and I just knelt down and then the spirit of the Lord came upon me and.

And I rebuke that spirit.

I said, in the mighty name of Jesus, you wicked spirit, you're going to leave her right now.

So out in Jesus mighty name, this black thing came out of her back.

The spirit.

I could see it just leaving her.

And she was so shocked.

She was so shocked that she's touching her chest and her back at the same time, says, he left, he left, he left me.

She's confirming what the Lord Jesus was doing in her.

And this was amazing.

And this is the first miracle with my eyes open that I saw.

And from then on there were many, many others and, and of course, many healings.

And it was beautiful, it was wonderful.

But you know, you just got to be obedient to the Lord and he's gonna give you such great joy when the, when he's using you.

And I'm telling you, we were talking with Pastor Bob.

I've got a special needs child.

He's not a child.

He's a young man now.

He's autistic.

But I've been able to teach him how to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit for healing my special needs son who's autistic.

And now he prays.

And I see the spirit of the Lord using him.

And he prays for people and he sees him just being touched by the power of God.

They.

They fall down and the Lord is just doing the operation there on the floor for them and at sometimes even casting out demons.

And.

And he tells me he's doing this.

And he says, daddy, that's not me, that's the Lord.

Look what the Lord is doing there.

Look, look what the Lord is.

Amen.

We can use as special needs a young man.

Because a lot of people think, well, I have Jesus in me.

That's true.

But the Bible says we are in Christ, we are in him, and we gotta let.

If we are in him, that means he's the one in charge.

Now we have Christ in us, the hope of glory, but we are in him.

So let him lead and he will.

He said, pray now, you know, and when you.

That's him telling you, okay, he's the spirit.

You're the physical contact, you know, and.

Yeah, and sometimes, you know, as a cop, you know, I've had to, let's just say, lay hands on someone.

We'll go down that road, right?

And some of my buddies ask, how can you as a minister do that?

It says, lay hands on them.

Didn't say how I had to lay hands on, but I cast that devil out.

Praise God.

Yeah, it's him in us does the work, not us.

And that's the beauty of it.

And when you understand that, you don't compare yourself to anyone because you know that he's using you and that you are him and he's doing the work.

See, people say, oh, you know, how could that be?

I said, I am not the healer.

The Lord is a healer.

I know the healer because he's in me and I feel right next to me.

And even when I cast out demons, they know.

They tell me I can see Jesus next to you.

I see him and I say, what is he saying to you?

He said, I got to get out.

I said, well, why are you still talking out in Jesus?

And the person feels, you know, they feel like a feather after that.

They feel so light.

And they give the glory to the Lord and we always give the glory to God because He's the one.

Although we're his instruments and we're the conduit, but he's the one that glory.

And Pastor Bob, you know, the Lord revealed himself, even teaching me how to pray for people.

And I. I wrote into this little book now that we're getting out, because this is called in Jesus name and.

And how to powerfully pray for people in the power of the Holy Spirit.

And this is everything that the Lord has been teaching me.

And the 15 years, nearly 20 years of.

Of doing this, now the Lord saying, teach it to the world.

And that's where he said, we need to raise this year 10,000 prayer warriors.

Because those prayer warriors, it's.

It's for you to move in power for yourself.

Family, for your children, for your relatives, for your Community.

And the Lord can use you anywhere.

You could be in a plane, flying, and there's someone next to you sitting there that needs prayer.

That's awesome.

Be an entrepreneur.

And I pray for entrepreneurs, for millionaires and even billionaires.

I pray for people that are in high places.

And you know what we think?

Oh, do they really need.

Of course, because they have difficulties.

One called me and he said, my son is going absolutely crazy because, you know, he lost his marriage, everything's gone, wrecked.

He's taking money from us, from our black credit card, you know, $5,000 every day, wasting it.

And he had an evil spirit inside of him.

And I went to see them, and then I went to see the Son straight away.

Then we.

I called him in the room.

I had to talk to him, but I knew I could see the spirit inside of him.

And then I said, I got to pray for you because you've got an evil spirit in there.

And then I want you to give your life to Jesus, because the one who's going to do this is Jesus, and he loves you so much, but that evil spirit is here to destroy you.

Then he was shocked at what I was telling him, but I could see that evil spirit there.

And straight away I just spoke to it.

I said, in Jesus name, you're going to lose yourself from this young man right now.

In the mighty name of Jesus.

Ouch.

And you know, that spirit left him and he gave his life to the Lord.

And this is a family that were multi, multi millionaires.

And there are problems there.

I'll tell you one more.

I went to a.

An entrepreneur who had a car shop where they fixed cars, you know, motor cars and all that.

He had an evil spirit that had done a curse in that place.

And he told me, I saw something like a leopard floating in the air in the yard where we work.

And he was floating and then he went through the wall and he rang me and he said, pastor, can you come and pray?

I said, of course.

I'll be there in about half an hour.

And I was there.

I went.

All his machinery wasn't working.

There were things that were missing, you know, where there's paranormal activity.

So I went there, I said, don't worry, Just leave me here a little bit.

I'll be praying.

And we began to pray and began to rebuke.

And then once we did that prayer, because the Lord was there and the Holy Spirit was showing me with discernment how to pray.

We did that.

And then there was total peace.

Everything was changed.

Amen.

And he started small business, more business.

So this in Jesus name is for all Christians and you.

I want you to know that the Lord wants to use you and he will use you in a powerful way.

We just have to be faithful, available and teachable.

Amen.

When I was 13 years old here in Sydney and we rented a house and it was full of demons and they were all living stacked up in the outside in the garage.

But they would come out at night and they would run through the corridors and we could hear their footsteps and doors would open and close.

It was like a horror movie.

The first six months was okay, but then all of this happened.

But the Lord showed me that world when I was 13 years old.

He showed me, look at this world, this evil world is real.

But you will see my power.

You will see me how I will deliver the family here.

And of course, we found out later that they had done a satanic pact and they even drew a pentagram and all that at the back of the house.

But the glory of God was so strong and so powerful.

You know, the Lord was teaching me from a young age, you know, the power of the Lord.

And I'm telling you, 13 years old.

And that's when I had my first encounter with the Holy Spirit.

He came into my room and he took me from the bed and I began to pray.

And he did this for about a month in preparation to show me his mighty power and how these demons were going to be cast out of there.

And then an angel appeared in protection and I could see him clearly, you know, and he was so beautiful, so amazing.

And the Lord just, he had to show me all of that in preparation for years later, because now I go to homes, and when I hear children telling their parents I can't sleep at night, I see shadows, I see this.

I say that I understand what they're talking about.

And we pray for children, even babies, you know, for deliverance and for things like that.

And the Lord does amazing, glorious things.

And, you know, and I tell people I didn't know how to do that before, but then I learned what the word of God teaches, what the Lord Jesus, I put it all together.

And.

And I'm telling you, you are going to be blessed because if the Lord can use me, he's gonna use you in a mighty way.

This is not just amen, people.

This is for all of us.

We're already preparing now with the whole team to move this in a very powerful way on, you know, social media.

And people are really one because like I said, so many people are going through paranormal stuff, so many things that I can't tell people.

They're scared or they don't know what to do.

And here we're going to show them what the Lord Jesus says about that and how they can be free.

But we need Christians to stand up today because the Lord is coming.

You know something?

The Lord in heaven, that he's coming so soon.

And we need to pray for our cities and for governments and all that.

You know, the Lord is only going to use his church, his people, to bring revival, to bring a change in our nation.

The government won't do that.

The Department of Education won't do that.

No university, no nothing will do that.

Only the body of Christ.

And in order for that to happen, we need to be so on fire for the Lord.

And I know that the Lord is going to bless so many of your audience and you'll be able to get access.
