Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.
Speaker AAnd today I want to talk about the difference between fantasy and reality.
Speaker AI think we've all grown up and probably for many of us, maybe not all of us, we had a fantasy of what our life would look like.
Speaker AMaybe you've reached a certain age where you think, I thought it was going to be different now.
Speaker AI thought it was going to be different.
Speaker AI thought I was going to have this, be this, say this, do this.
Speaker AI thought by the time I was this old, my life would be different than the way it is.
Speaker AMaybe you grew up with a fantasy that, you know, felt impossible.
Speaker AYou know, marrying a prince or princess or, you know, becoming famous or making a trillion dollars.
Speaker ABy the way, all those things are not fantasies.
Speaker AThose things can come true.
Speaker AThose can be reality.
Speaker AYet today I want to talk about the difference between the fantasy of what you thought your life would be like versus the reality of what it is like.
Speaker ABecause in order to have peace, we must reconcile those two things.
Speaker AWe must reconcile the fantasy or who we thought we'd be right now.
Speaker AWhat we thought we'd have right now.
Speaker AWith the reality of our life.
Speaker AI'm not talking about lowering your dreams or aspirations.
Speaker AI'm not talking about taking away miracle mindedness or taking away your dreams and desires.
Speaker ABut I am saying we have to know where we are.
Speaker ABefore we can keep creating something new.
Speaker AWhen we're in denial and just keep having a fantasy, hoping that the miracle will happen, yet not participating in the miracle, yet not looking at the life we have now and telling ourselves the truth about it.
Speaker AMiracles are less apt to happen because we're not creating the fertile soil for them to blossom, bloom.
Speaker ASo what is it that you thought your life would be like today?
Speaker AI want you to just take some jot, some notes down today about what you thought would be happening by now in your life.
Speaker AAnd what is the reality?
Speaker AHow far are those two things apart?
Speaker AAnd by the way, what parts of your life right now, in your reality are actually things that came true that you never even imagined, that are actually quite shocking and quite miraculous?
Speaker AAnd they weren't ever in your fantasy file?
Speaker ASo today, ask yourself.
Speaker AWhat don't I have that I always thought I'd have?
Speaker AWhat do I have that I never expected to have?
Speaker AAnd how far apart are my fantasy and reality?
Speaker AAnd then reconcile those.
Speaker AAllow the fantasy, ask yourself about the fantasy, and ask if you're willing to participate, do you want to actually make that come true?
Speaker ABecause you may still want to make that come true.
Speaker AAnd I say Go.
Speaker AGo for it.
Speaker AOr is it time to lay down that fantasy in order to embrace the life you have and create a life.
Speaker AThat your soul intends?
Speaker AAnchor yourself, awaken your vision with something new.
Speaker ABecause lots of times those old fantasies and those old dreams kind of like hang around our neck and actually stop us from allowing ourselves to create anew.
Speaker ABecause we think, well, I didn't have that happen, so I guess I can't have what I want.
Speaker ASo I guess I just should accept the way I am.
Speaker AI should just accept it.
Speaker APeople say you should be happy with what you have.
Speaker AMm.
Speaker AMm.
Speaker AThat's not what we're doing today.
Speaker AWe're looking at the fantasy, we're looking at the reality.
Speaker AWe're telling ourselves the truth.
Speaker AAnd then we're deciding, making a decision, making a decision on how we wanna move forward.
Speaker AWhat pieces of those fantasies do we wanna keep and want to pursue?
Speaker AAnd what parts of those fantasies do we wanna release and let go?
Speaker ABecause it was really just our child trying to avoid reality.
Speaker AI remember when I wanted to be famous growing up.
Speaker AI thought that if I was famous, then I wouldn't have any problems and people would solve all my problems for me.
Speaker AWell, when I did experience my little tiny brush with fame, that is not what happens at all.
Speaker ASo I had fantasies when I was younger, thinking if those fantasies came true, I could avoid parts of my life.
Speaker AWell, that part of the fantasy has to go.
Speaker AAnd what part of the fantasy do you want to still cultivate?
Speaker AThis is your opportunity today.
Speaker ABe open and available.
Speaker AThe new year is soon upon us.
Speaker AStart deciding how you want to create.
Speaker AMake some of that fantasy a reality, and then let that other part of the fantasy go.
Speaker AUntil next time, be fearless.
Speaker AI love you.
