EMMA:

As we wrap up the

EMMA:

year, I wanna take you

EMMA:

through a gentle but honest

EMMA:

reflection of what life and

EMMA:

business has brought me.

EMMA:

The good, the challenging, the

EMMA:

messy, and the magic, because.

EMMA:

Life and business rarely

EMMA:

move in straight lines.

EMMA:

Oh my goodness.

EMMA:

How I wish they did.

EMMA:

How I wish it was all linear,

EMMA:

but it's all loop to loop.

EMMA:

Right?

EMMA:

Which makes you feel like

EMMA:

you're going loop to crazy.

EMMA:

Yeah.

EMMA:

they all kind of

EMMA:

weave together.

EMMA:

They influence each other

EMMA:

and they shape who we

EMMA:

become and how we behave.

EMMA:

And so today what I really

EMMA:

wanted to do was share my

EMMA:

own reflection with you

EMMA:

in the hope that you can

EMMA:

reflect on your year as well.

EMMA:

We're going to take a

EMMA:

step by step approach to

EMMA:

this because these things

EMMA:

intersect because they weave.

EMMA:

I wanna first talk to you

EMMA:

about life, the beautiful

EMMA:

moments, the tough ones,

EMMA:

and everything in between.

EMMA:

And then I wanna talk

EMMA:

about business, the wins,

EMMA:

the challenges, and the

EMMA:

things that stretched me.

EMMA:

And after that, I will

EMMA:

share the biggest learnings.

EMMA:

I had throughout this year in

EMMA:

business and in our community.

EMMA:

And then finally,

EMMA:

'cause I'm me.

EMMA:

I love a good

EMMA:

practical reflection.

EMMA:

So a little ritual that

EMMA:

you can close out your

EMMA:

own year with, with a bit

EMMA:

of clarity and intention.

EMMA:

it is almost the

EMMA:

end of the year.

EMMA:

There was this thing that

EMMA:

happened when I used to work

EMMA:

in HR in corporates where

EMMA:

everyone started going a bit

EMMA:

feral as of about October.

EMMA:

It's like they're stretching.

EMMA:

They're, they're working to

EMMA:

the end of the year and they

EMMA:

haven't given themselves a

EMMA:

break throughout the year.

EMMA:

So I reckon we're

EMMA:

probably dealing with a

EMMA:

bit of feral behavior.

EMMA:

So if you are feeling a little

EMMA:

bit feral, like a feral cat,

EMMA:

take me on a little walk with

EMMA:

you or grab a piece of paper,

EMMA:

grab a cup of tea, and just.

EMMA:

Pay attention what to

EMMA:

what is actually going

EMMA:

on for you right now?

EMMA:

Life and business are so

EMMA:

always intertwined, so it

EMMA:

only feels right to look

EMMA:

at them side by side.

EMMA:

Right?

EMMA:

I'll give you the good first.

EMMA:

I'll give you life first.

EMMA:

The good right,

EMMA:

the good in life.

EMMA:

I look at the good in my

EMMA:

personal life this year, there

EMMA:

is so much to be grateful for.

EMMA:

had a wonderful family holiday

EMMA:

to New York and Canada.

EMMA:

3 whole weeks

EMMA:

and it was one of those trips

EMMA:

that stays in your bones.

EMMA:

it just meshes in.

EMMA:

It's the memories that

EMMA:

you've created, the memories

EMMA:

you've carved out, and

EMMA:

just the time off together.

EMMA:

The interesting thing

EMMA:

for me that happened with

EMMA:

this trip, I have always.

EMMA:

Ever since I was little,

EMMA:

suffered with travel sickness

EMMA:

and uh, last year I gave

EMMA:

myself a travel ban, would

EMMA:

not travel for one whole year.

EMMA:

I was focused on my

EMMA:

health and just getting

EMMA:

that back on track and

EMMA:

I decided not to travel.

EMMA:

I was feeling a bit nervous

EMMA:

about these big trip because

EMMA:

I obviously New York and

EMMA:

Canada a few hours away.

EMMA:

and really what happened

EMMA:

that was really interesting

EMMA:

to me is sickness,

EMMA:

travel sickness, gone.

EMMA:

Literally 47 years.

EMMA:

travel sickness and gone.

EMMA:

I don't know what happened.

EMMA:

Maybe I've matured,

EMMA:

which makes me laugh.

EMMA:

it's just psychosomatic,

EMMA:

who knows?

EMMA:

But not one ounce

EMMA:

of travel sickness.

EMMA:

And we did a lot of Ks

EMMA:

both flying and driving.

EMMA:

So actually the trip was

EMMA:

wonderful, but it was even

EMMA:

more wonderful with the fact

EMMA:

I didn't actually need to

EMMA:

worry about carrying sick

EMMA:

bags in the car, making

EMMA:

sure I took my quells.

EMMA:

All the things that

EMMA:

as you, if you suffer

EMMA:

with travel sickness,

EMMA:

you know all too well.

EMMA:

We are about, we are about,

EMMA:

we're like an inch off

EMMA:

moving into our dream house.

EMMA:

We have been waiting four

EMMA:

years for this house.

EMMA:

It's part of a 51

EMMA:

build community.

EMMA:

It's all electric.

EMMA:

No gas, eco-friendly, and

EMMA:

we have been chomping at the

EMMA:

bit to move in this week.

EMMA:

It's happening now.

EMMA:

You might sit there and

EMMA:

go, what a terrible time

EMMA:

of year to move house.

EMMA:

I totally agree, but I'm

EMMA:

I'm so excited about it.

EMMA:

I'm so excited.

EMMA:

Our, our dream house,

EMMA:

which is awesome.

EMMA:

My health, for the most

EMMA:

part, has been good.

EMMA:

If you have listened to any

EMMA:

of the other ex uh, episodes,

EMMA:

you would know that we've

EMMA:

had a little, few little

EMMA:

blips on that, um, radar.

EMMA:

I got back into running.

EMMA:

I taught myself couch to

EMMA:

5K, got back into running,

EMMA:

which I really love.

EMMA:

I've kept up my

EMMA:

20,000 steps a day.

EMMA:

I've kept up my

EMMA:

naps every day.

EMMA:

and inspired by one of

EMMA:

my clients, Trudy, I

EMMA:

joined a local park run.

EMMA:

Which is awesome.

EMMA:

If you haven't done a park

EMMA:

run before you so do one.

EMMA:

The community is great and I'm

EMMA:

about to start volunteering

EMMA:

there, which is awesome.

EMMA:

Another amazing thing that

EMMA:

happened, one of my bonus

EMMA:

daughters got engaged.

EMMA:

Yay.

EMMA:

And that brought us a

EMMA:

lot of joy and now we

EMMA:

plan for a wedding.

EMMA:

And I think most

EMMA:

importantly really was

EMMA:

I kept my health

EMMA:

front and centre

EMMA:

even in the moments

EMMA:

when it wasn't great.

EMMA:

So they were like the

EMMA:

good bits, the personal

EMMA:

bits, the life bits.

EMMA:

Of course there were

EMMA:

some really hard bits

EMMA:

in our year this year.

EMMA:

life delivered some

EMMA:

heartbreaking moments

EMMA:

for me personally.

EMMA:

lost our 16-year-old dog

EMMA:

Spency, and he was my shadow

EMMA:

day in day out, 16 years.

EMMA:

He had been with

EMMA:

me for so long.

EMMA:

He'd been with me before.

EMMA:

Husbands before, kids

EMMA:

before bonus, kids

EMMA:

before all the things.

EMMA:

And his loss hurt

EMMA:

really deep the day.

EMMA:

Before hosting a 75 woman

EMMA:

event that was being

EMMA:

video grafted, I ended

EMMA:

up in emergency, uh,

EMMA:

with stitches to my chin.

EMMA:

was fun and also fun for the

EMMA:

makeup artist the next day

EMMA:

to try and cover that all up.

EMMA:

I also received a

EMMA:

cancer diagnosis, which

EMMA:

led to two surgeries.

EMMA:

Navigating that while being

EMMA:

a mom, trying to be a good

EMMA:

wife and a business owner

EMMA:

at times just felt enormous.

EMMA:

good was beautiful, but

EMMA:

the hard heavy and both

EMMA:

shaped me, both really

EMMA:

shaped me this year.

EMMA:

So that's life.

EMMA:

it into a little

EMMA:

box for the moment.

EMMA:

Now I wanna talk

EMMA:

about business.

EMMA:

I wanna talk about the good,

EMMA:

the business reflections that

EMMA:

were good thriving women.

EMMA:

2025 was magic, it was

EMMA:

light, it was energized,

EMMA:

it was aligned.

EMMA:

The women are beautiful.

EMMA:

That was amazing for me.

EMMA:

We did some new things,

EMMA:

which really worked well.

EMMA:

We took out some stuff

EMMA:

that wasn't working well.

EMMA:

We got them focused on

EMMA:

the right things, not just

EMMA:

taking in more content, but

EMMA:

actually getting stuff done

EMMA:

and moving into action.

EMMA:

Our 2026.

EMMA:

Thriving and launch

EMMA:

was so solid.

EMMA:

I left nothing on the

EMMA:

table for that launch,

EMMA:

and if you have heard the

EMMA:

behind the scenes episode,

EMMA:

you'll know that there's

EMMA:

a whole story there.

EMMA:

But I'm very, very proud

EMMA:

of the fact that we were

EMMA:

able to do that launch

EMMA:

in such a solid way.

EMMA:

We leveled up our systems

EMMA:

and we shifted from active

EMMA:

campaign to automate

EMMA:

digital, which is a

EMMA:

type of go high level.

EMMA:

Uh, it was a really

EMMA:

tough project.

EMMA:

We've got a lot of pieces

EMMA:

that could potentially break.

EMMA:

I think also what helped

EMMA:

in this moment is that I

EMMA:

was away for three weeks,

EMMA:

so Serena had the place to

EMMA:

herself and was able to do

EMMA:

that without my involvement,

EMMA:

which was amazing.

EMMA:

It was a big piece of

EMMA:

work, and I wish we'd done

EMMA:

it sooner, but absolutely

EMMA:

the right decision.

EMMA:

I wanna say this one straddles

EMMA:

both the huge win in being

EMMA:

able to travel overseas for

EMMA:

three weeks and the business

EMMA:

holding strong without me.

EMMA:

Incredible every business

EMMA:

owner's dream, and I have

EMMA:

to put that down to the

EMMA:

beautiful community of

EMMA:

thriving women that I had.

EMMA:

We planned it a long time

EMMA:

in advance so everyone

EMMA:

knew that it was coming

EMMA:

and the community just

EMMA:

sorted themselves out.

EMMA:

There were people that showed

EMMA:

up for others throughout

EMMA:

this time while I wasn't

EMMA:

online, and it really gave

EMMA:

me confidence that when

EMMA:

you've got the right people

EMMA:

in the right community, that.

EMMA:

Anything can happen.

EMMA:

You even as a business

EMMA:

owner, can have a break.

EMMA:

Every business owner

EMMA:

dreams of that moment, I

EMMA:

reckon, and Brianna will

EMMA:

be very happy to hear this.

EMMA:

Finally, this podcast

EMMA:

feels like me.

EMMA:

Yay.

EMMA:

It's uh, natural.

EMMA:

It's honest.

EMMA:

We're having fun.

EMMA:

loving it.

EMMA:

And if you listen to the

EMMA:

episodes a few ago where I was

EMMA:

like, oh, this is really hard.

EMMA:

We've pushed through the

EMMA:

discomfort and the hard, and

EMMA:

we've worked out a strategy

EMMA:

and a system that really

EMMA:

helps me have fun in this.

EMMA:

So thank you, Brianna.

EMMA:

Of course, there

EMMA:

was challenges in

EMMA:

business as well.

EMMA:

Lots of challenges.

EMMA:

The biggest challenge,

EMMA:

unfortunately, I

EMMA:

hate to admit this.

EMMA:

And if Serena's listening,

EMMA:

she was gonna have a laugh.

EMMA:

Now I'm the problem.

EMMA:

It's me.

EMMA:

in the words of Taylor

EMMA:

Swift, I move really quickly.

EMMA:

My brain is just like,

EMMA:

and sometimes the team.

EMMA:

Get left behind.

EMMA:

I don't mean for it to happen.

EMMA:

I'm aware of it and I'm

EMMA:

working on it, but I'm just

EMMA:

like, I want things done now.

EMMA:

And uh, that is the beauty

EMMA:

about being a nimble team

EMMA:

and an entrepreneur, but

EMMA:

also realizing other people

EMMA:

don't work in that way.

EMMA:

So, you know, love letters are

EMMA:

Serena for putting up with me.

EMMA:

the thriving and Launch,

EMMA:

we overstretched, we

EMMA:

overstretched me in that.

EMMA:

It was only me who could

EMMA:

show up because it's my

EMMA:

baby, it's my launch.

EMMA:

I will preface this with

EMMA:

at the same time, we have

EMMA:

been able to trademark

EMMA:

thriving women in the us,

EMMA:

in Canada, in the uk, in

EMMA:

Australia and in New Zealand.

EMMA:

So big things to come, but

EMMA:

that was also happening

EMMA:

in the background, right?

EMMA:

But the thriving women,

EMMA:

2026 launch was just too

EMMA:

long, 12 weeks too long,

EMMA:

too much energy to hold.

EMMA:

We'll do that differently.

EMMA:

The systems upgrade from

EMMA:

ActiveCampaign to go high

EMMA:

level or automate digital.

EMMA:

Shout out to Paul.

EMMA:

He doesn't even listen

EMMA:

to this podcast, but

EMMA:

shout out to Paul.

EMMA:

He's amazing.

EMMA:

put a lot of pressure

EMMA:

on Serena, which I fully

EMMA:

acknowledge because changing

EMMA:

systems when you only have

EMMA:

one, automation is hard to do.

EMMA:

Changing systems when you

EMMA:

have 54,000 automations

EMMA:

also quite hard to do.

EMMA:

It's a lot.

EMMA:

It's a lot.

EMMA:

I added a couple of

EMMA:

extra projects to

EMMA:

our quarterly list.

EMMA:

Classic Emma move.

EMMA:

don't mean to, I'm just like,

EMMA:

we could do this and we could

EMMA:

do this, and the community

EMMA:

needs this right now, and

EMMA:

I need to do that anyway.

EMMA:

These challenges have

EMMA:

shaped the year as

EMMA:

much as the wins did.

EMMA:

and I've got kind of four

EMMA:

lessons that are the biggest

EMMA:

lessons from all of that.

EMMA:

Number one, to belly

EMMA:

is still the best.

EMMA:

Or as one of my thriving

EMMA:

women likes to call

EMMA:

it nipple to nipple,

EMMA:

I hosted lunches and dinners

EMMA:

all around Australia.

EMMA:

Nothing replaces being in

EMMA:

the room with your people.

EMMA:

And because of that, we've

EMMA:

added two go-getter days

EMMA:

to Brisbane next year.

EMMA:

So in 2025, Brizzy,

EMMA:

we are coming for you.

EMMA:

Sorry.

EMMA:

In 2026 we're coming for you.

EMMA:

So good.

EMMA:

But belly to belly

EMMA:

is still the best.

EMMA:

We ran an experiment

EMMA:

in thriving women.

EMMA:

This year.

EMMA:

We did small group coaching.

EMMA:

Now anyone that knows me

EMMA:

knows I love one-on-one

EMMA:

coaching, I felt like there

EMMA:

was just a little bit of

EMMA:

something, something missing

EMMA:

from a practical perspective.

EMMA:

So master classes are amazing.

EMMA:

Learning new things are

EMMA:

amazing, but putting things

EMMA:

into action and having that

EMMA:

accountability, wow, nothing,

EMMA:

nothing better than that.

EMMA:

So we.

EMMA:

Put an experiment in for small

EMMA:

group coaching, and it landed

EMMA:

beautifully with the group.

EMMA:

It created that extra layer

EMMA:

of depth, extra layer of

EMMA:

connection and accountability.

EMMA:

So now we've popped it into

EMMA:

thriving women in 2026.

EMMA:

So everyone gets small

EMMA:

coaching experience.

EMMA:

The other lesson is that

EMMA:

systems matter than speed.

EMMA:

Took me a while.

EMMA:

The upgrades were a

EMMA:

little bit painful,

EMMA:

but totally essential.

EMMA:

And I wouldn't have been ready

EMMA:

for that three years ago.

EMMA:

And I was probably

EMMA:

ready for it a year ago.

EMMA:

And we just couldn't sort

EMMA:

out which one, how it was

EMMA:

gonna work, all the things.

EMMA:

then when we upgraded

EMMA:

the systems, I'm like,

EMMA:

ah, this is amazing.

EMMA:

We can do new things.

EMMA:

And the final reflection

EMMA:

that I had was A strong

EMMA:

business can hold you

EMMA:

in a tough season.

EMMA:

We had a big, a few things,

EMMA:

a few tough seasons.

EMMA:

It did not collapse

EMMA:

while I was navigating

EMMA:

health challenges.

EMMA:

We haven't even talked about

EMMA:

the fact I fainted on a

EMMA:

zoom with a hundred women,

EMMA:

you know, while I ch, while

EMMA:

I grief, while I navigated

EMMA:

travel and surgeries.

EMMA:

that's about structure.

EMMA:

That's not about luck.

EMMA:

That's about having the

EMMA:

right structure around

EMMA:

you, the right support

EMMA:

and the right community.

EMMA:

And now there's something

EMMA:

I would love you to do.

EMMA:

I'd love you to sit down,

EMMA:

blank, piece of paper in front

EMMA:

of you and start with life.

EMMA:

Write down what was good,

EMMA:

what was hard, what surprised

EMMA:

you, and what do you

EMMA:

want to carry forward, and

EMMA:

what can you let go of?

EMMA:

'cause man, I'm letting

EMMA:

go of a whole stack

EMMA:

of stuff as well.

EMMA:

And then I want you to

EMMA:

look at your business

EMMA:

and ask yourself, what

EMMA:

worked, what didn't work?

EMMA:

Where did you grow?

EMMA:

Where did you overreach?

EMMA:

And what needs to

EMMA:

change next year?

EMMA:

Then I want you to pick three

EMMA:

things that you can celebrate.

EMMA:

What were the quiet wins?

EMMA:

What were the

EMMA:

emotional shifts?

EMMA:

What were the mindset shifts?

EMMA:

What were the things

EMMA:

that no one else saw,

EMMA:

the internal work

EMMA:

that you had to do?

EMMA:

Once you've got all that,

EMMA:

I would love you to think

EMMA:

about 3 things that you

EMMA:

can let go of is there a

EMMA:

habit you need to ditch?

EMMA:

Is there an expectation

EMMA:

you need to let slide?

EMMA:

there some clients

EMMA:

you need to fire?

EMMA:

Dare I say it?

EMMA:

Are some offers or

EMMA:

some outdated stories

EMMA:

that just have to go?

EMMA:

And then finally,

EMMA:

just one thing.

EMMA:

Just choose one thing to

EMMA:

do differently next year,

EMMA:

just one and that one thing.

EMMA:

create the biggest ripple

EMMA:

effect in your business

EMMA:

and in your life as you

EMMA:

reflect on your year.

EMMA:

I wanna ask one more thing.

EMMA:

I wanna ask that you

EMMA:

do it with softness.

EMMA:

This isn't a harsh

EMMA:

task to make you go, I

EMMA:

should have done this.

EMMA:

I could have done that.

EMMA:

La la, la, la, la this

EMMA:

year has brought me beauty,

EMMA:

it's brought me heartbreak,

EMMA:

it's brought me progress.

EMMA:

It's brought me pressure,

EMMA:

joy, and challenge it, and

EMMA:

I'm proud of all of it.

EMMA:

And I hope that you feel

EMMA:

the same about yours.

EMMA:

If you are sitting there

EMMA:

thinking, I can't have

EMMA:

the same kind of year I

EMMA:

had this year, I wanna do

EMMA:

things differently next

EMMA:

year, please reach out.

EMMA:

We might be able to work

EMMA:

with you one-on-one.

EMMA:

You might be able to step

EMMA:

into one of our programs.

EMMA:

You might be able to come

EMMA:

to a beautiful go-getter

EMMA:

day and just feel the

EMMA:

sense of community.

EMMA:

That's it for today.

EMMA:

That's my reflection.

EMMA:

For a fabulous year of

EMMA:

life and business, go well,
