She is a good friend of mine.

We've not seen each other for absolutely ages, so I'm really

Speaker:

looking forward to getting having a nice conversation with her.

Speaker:

And we're talking about.

Speaker:

Why organic social media is not dead.

Speaker:

So many of us are having maybe some stresses and frustrations

Speaker:

with organic social media.

Speaker:

Dorien is here to tell us not to worry.

Speaker:

She's got some practical tips on how we can move forwards with that.

Speaker:

So looking forward to that on Thursday or next Friday, if you're listening

Speaker:

to the podcast, and of course if you.

Speaker:

Come discovered the podcast before.

Speaker:

You just need to go to ig me slash podcast and you can follow.

Speaker:

Subscribe in your favorite podcasting app.

Speaker:

And as we come towards the big 200, that'll be really good if you could do

Speaker:

that, because we've got some exciting things coming up particularly for

Speaker:

episode 200, which will be happening in, I think about February time.

Speaker:

Yeah, so a few more weeks to go before we do that.

Speaker:

Anyway welcome to the show.

Speaker:

If you've just joined watching Live, I can see we've got some Let me

Speaker:

know what, where in the world you are watching from and what your thoughts

Speaker:

are on live streaming for business.

Speaker:

So let's get stuck into this.

Speaker:

What what's the first thing I wanna talk about?

Speaker:

The first tip is really choosing the right platform.

Speaker:

And by this I don't mean the live streaming platform, like streamy auto

Speaker:

e-com and all those kind of things.

Speaker:

That's something you need to think about, but where are you broadcasting too?

Speaker:

Now we've got tools like StreamYard, Restream, Ecamm.

Speaker:

They all do what we call multi streaming.

Speaker:

. Now, multi streaming allows you to broadcast to lots of different

Speaker:

places all at the same time.

Speaker:

And I'm doing that today.

Speaker:

I'm broadcasting to Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, which is great, but it

Speaker:

can make you a little bit lazy because what's really important here is that you

Speaker:

nurture your audience, you focus on your audience and you interact with them.

Speaker:

And if your audience are scattered all over the place, that

Speaker:

is more difficult to manage.

Speaker:

And so that's the only problem with multi streaming.

Speaker:

It's difficult to do well.

Speaker:

And I'm not saying I do it like an amazing job at this, but I've

Speaker:

been doing this for quite a while.

Speaker:

I would certainly not recommend multi streaming right from the get-go.

Speaker:

So where is your audience hanging out?

Speaker:

I, are they on LinkedIn primarily?

Speaker:

Are they on Instagram?

Speaker:

Are they on Facebook and.

Speaker:

It's really a case of focusing on that one audience first.

Speaker:

Now, if it's Instagram, that changes things a little bit because Instagram

Speaker:

live is a very different kettle of fish.

Speaker:

What is a kettle of fish?

Speaker:

I never know where that phrase comes from, but anyway because Instagram so far has

Speaker:

been mobile only, now that is changing.

Speaker:

It is possible.

Speaker:

Now, if you have been given access, you've been blessed with

Speaker:

access to Instagram, live through desktop, you can start to do that.

Speaker:

But it is a very different.

Speaker:

So if you're gonna do a show like this, then I would probably recommend

Speaker:

broadcasting live to another platform and then repurpose that

Speaker:

content onto Instagram and we'll talk about repurposing in a little bit.

Speaker:

But you need to think about where is your audience and consider

Speaker:

how big your audience is.

Speaker:

And focus on them first, by all means, once you've done that, you can then

Speaker:

start to think about multi streaming later on to other platforms as well.

Speaker:

The second the second one is planning, which is the

Speaker:

boring bit, but so important.

Speaker:

I planned, I put together a big plan back in May, 2019.

Speaker:

My content plan and my strategy and.

Speaker:

Without that, I would not be continuing to livestream today.

Speaker:

It, with that, it allowed me to know why I was doing it.

Speaker:

So today I know why I'm going live today, even if I don't really want to,

Speaker:

I might not be feeling in the mood.

Speaker:

I know why I'm doing it.

Speaker:

I'm doing it to connect with my audience, to and I know who my audience is.

Speaker:

So you need to know who your audience is and why you're doing it as well.

Speaker:

The next one is, to stand out.

Speaker:

There are more and more people live streaming now, including

Speaker:

business owners as well.

Speaker:

So you need to make it professional and you need to stand out, but not

Speaker:

just professional, because people don't always go for like the most

Speaker:

professional look that they're looking to interact with a real human being.

Speaker:

They're looking.

Speaker:

To find the human behind the business as well and putting that personality forward.

Speaker:

And this is particularly easy if you're a small business, and particularly

Speaker:

if you are a personal brand.

Speaker:

Brand.

Speaker:

Like for me I am my business.

Speaker:

It's more difficult for corporates, but it's still possible to reach out behind

Speaker:

your in front of your corporate identity.

Speaker:

Yes, make it professional, but you need to stand out and be

Speaker:

real, be authentic as well.

Speaker:

But you can have fun with this.

Speaker:

You can have fun with the right equipment get getting a nice

Speaker:

camera getting nice lighting fun lighting, and background as well.

Speaker:

So think about that.

Speaker:

The next one is really important, particularly well

Speaker:

it's not just for businesses.

Speaker:

This is for ev everyone live streaming, but I see businesses doing

Speaker:

a particularly poor job at this, and that is engaging with your audience.

Speaker:

I've watched live streams from businesses, from brands that I really

Speaker:

love, and I'm not gonna name any names here, but I've watched Live Stream.

Speaker:

and I'm commenting.

Speaker:

I'm really excited because this is my favorite brand live streaming

Speaker:

and I'm talking to them and they're completely ignoring me.

Speaker:

Completely ignoring me.

Speaker:

And so you need to look out for comments and you need to engage with

Speaker:

your audience during your livestream.

Speaker:

Not just that.

Speaker:

Ask them questions.

Speaker:

This is something that I try and do in my live streams as well.

Speaker:

Using calls to action.

Speaker:

What, at the end of your live stream, where do you want them to go?

Speaker:

Because if you are a business, you are selling things.

Speaker:

You are selling services or products.

Speaker:

And so although the main aim of your live stream, it might not be to sell directly,

Speaker:

but you at least need to let people know where they should be going next.

Speaker:

What is the next stage in that interactions with you as well?

Speaker:

And part of that might be going, you going back and into engaging with.

Speaker:

In the comments and then you can reply to them in there, but you could should

Speaker:

also do that live on air as well.

Speaker:

So encouraging interaction as well.

Speaker:

Now, the.

Speaker:

The issue here is if you're finding that you're not having that many

Speaker:

people watching you live and you're struggling to even get that

Speaker:

interaction in the first place.

Speaker:

This is all down to promotion.

Speaker:

And this is something that I've not done a very good job of recently

Speaker:

that is changing, as I've alluded to quite a few times on this show.

Speaker:

For various reasons, just things have just been really busy and

Speaker:

I've just not had the time or the.

Speaker:

I suppose the

Speaker:

The structures in place to do a good job of the next thing, which is promoting

Speaker:

pre-pro promoting your live streams before because yes, Ive scheduled

Speaker:

today's episode but I've not sent it out on email or on social media.

Speaker:

And those are really bad things.

Speaker:

I've been completely honest with you, . But don't do what I do here.

Speaker:

You need to let people know before.

Speaker:

The event and also after the event, there's the post promotion as well.

Speaker:

So let people know that they can watch the re.

Speaker:

So use social media and it doesn't just have to be your main network.

Speaker:

Try the other ones as well.

Speaker:

So if you are focused primarily on LinkedIn, why not also share that

Speaker:

on Facebook and Twitter and LinkedIn.

Speaker:

Sorry.

Speaker:

And Instagram, for example as well.

Speaker:

But don't forget email marketing.

Speaker:

That's really important and that's something that I'm gonna

Speaker:

be doing a lot more next year.

Speaker:

I've done a particularly poor job of my email this year, and I'm

Speaker:

gonna be doing much more next year.

Speaker:

So that is that promotion, pre-promotion and post promotion.

Speaker:

You also want to look at the analytics as well.

Speaker:

So as well as doing that promotion and engaging with the audience,

Speaker:

how on earth do you know afterwards whether it has been a success?

Speaker:

Now you can look at, you can look at the viewer engagement.

Speaker:

You can look at the you can look at the view engagement.

Speaker:

You can look at the number of people watching you live tho.

Speaker:

Those are some ideas as well, but also you can look at how many

Speaker:

people are going towards your

Speaker:

Call to action.

Speaker:

Maybe you've got a webpage and you want to see how many people have actually

Speaker:

clicked through to that as well.

Speaker:

So don't be afraid of analytics.

Speaker:

It can be a little bit tricky to find out more information about

Speaker:

this particularly if you're multi streaming, but Facebook, LinkedIn.

Speaker:

The main platforms and YouTube, they do give you analytics.

Speaker:

You can see how many people watched throughout your livestream was it,

Speaker:

do they just watch for 10 seconds or do they watch for the whole thing.

Speaker:

Now don't be worried if people only watch for five or 10 seconds.

Speaker:

Because it's not, that is not, obviously you want them to watch for

Speaker:

longer, but the fact that they clicked and they saw you for 10 seconds,

Speaker:

it's reminding them of you, and they might not have been in the situation.

Speaker:

Up to be able to watch you live.

Speaker:

They might have been washing the dishes, driving the car.

Speaker:

Hopefully they weren't clicking on it while they were driving

Speaker:

the car, but you get the idea.

Speaker:

Do look at the analytics.

Speaker:

So Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, they all give you those analytics.

Speaker:

And if you're using a tool like restream.

Speaker:

They have really powerful analytics baked into that.

Speaker:

So do check that out, tracking the viewership, the engagement, the

Speaker:

conversations, the conversions as well.

Speaker:

Katie Simpson is in the house watching on Facebook.

Speaker:

Thank you so much, Katie, for joining me this morning.

Speaker:

How are you doing?

Speaker:

And I know it's in the run up to Christmas, things

Speaker:

start to get a little bit.

Speaker:

If you're listening to the podcast, I know it's January I record, this is

Speaker:

going live in December, mid-December.

Speaker:

I'd love to know from you, Katie, what are your, some of your

Speaker:

strategies for 2023 for your business?

Speaker:

How are you gonna be using live streaming next year in 2023?

Speaker:

Because I love hearing about that and what people are doing.

Speaker:

So far we've talked about using despite being able to.

Speaker:

Let's go back to the beginning using the streamings of the right platform.

Speaker:

Where is your audience planning making it professional, and making

Speaker:

sure that you're standing out, engaging with your audience as well.

Speaker:

Promoting your livestream before and of course after as well.

Speaker:

And then finally so far and at least looking at the analytics as well and

Speaker:

looking at the data, it's something that so many businesses don't do.

Speaker:

And I have to admit, I've not done a great job recently because of many things that

Speaker:

have been happening, but is something that I'm gonna be doing a lot more as well.

Speaker:

And of course, with the analytics that allows you.

Speaker:

Improve in the future.

Speaker:

It allows you to make changes.

Speaker:

So if you are finding that a lot of people are dropping off in the first

Speaker:

five minutes, maybe you just need to ramp things up and move on to the main section

Speaker:

because you might be waffling on a little bit more and you can reach out to

Speaker:

your audience and find out if they've got any recommendations on what you would

Speaker:

like what they would like you to do.

Speaker:

Let's look at the comments.

Speaker:

We've got Alec dolling in the house.

Speaker:

Alec, it's great to see you.

Speaker:

We met up, Alec and I met up relatively recently in Manchester.

Speaker:

So it's great to meet people in real life.

Speaker:

In fact, Katie and I met earlier this year in real life and actually just last.

Speaker:

So great to see Alec, I, he says, I'm not sure I want to be receiving

Speaker:

too much email promotion in my inbox.

Speaker:

However, I think social media platform promotions are welcome for upcoming shows.

Speaker:

That's a really interesting point, and I think what I would say here

Speaker:

is Alec I think we need to give, I think we need to give our audiences

Speaker:

control over what they see.

Speaker:

With email, I.

Speaker:

, I plan on sending a lot more emails out, but I will also give people

Speaker:

the ability to opt in, opt out or whatever, to from certain emails.

Speaker:

So I will be sending email out before every show that I do.

Speaker:

It's two times a week, but if people aren't interested in that,

Speaker:

then they can opt out of that.

Speaker:

I think it's just giving people the types of reminders that they want.

Speaker:

For example, like I, I really like to be contacted by email or

Speaker:

sometimes by Facebook Messenger.

Speaker:

I don't really want to be, I find it difficult if people contact me from

Speaker:

other ways, cuz then I get confused about , where they contacted me.

Speaker:

So everyone has their preferred method of communication, so I think we need to be.

Speaker:

Aware of that.

Speaker:

So yeah, I dunno what your thoughts on that, that are Alec Katie says,

Speaker:

should you be looking at the analytics into your work weekly workflow and

Speaker:

how long should you spend doing it?

Speaker:

Great question.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It should at least be monthly.

Speaker:

But I would ideally do it weekly.

Speaker:

So one thing that I'm gonna be doing is I'm gonna have a

Speaker:

meeting with my team every month.

Speaker:

So this is basically, this will be with Tanya, my, my assistant.

Speaker:

And we are gonna look at the analytics of the last four or six shows.

Speaker:

So it's not just enough to record the data, but it's also really important

Speaker:

to look at the data and I think with somebody to get an objective look at this.

Speaker:

So absolutely it needs to go into your, ideally into a weekly

Speaker:

review, looking at the data and then learning from it as well.

Speaker:

We could do a whole show on this and maybe I will, because analytics.

Speaker:

Important.

Speaker:

And Katie I also asks should, or should it, should you do it monthly?

Speaker:

I think what I would recommend is start monthly and then

Speaker:

ideally you then do it weekly.

Speaker:

But what you don't want here is to overwhelm yourself.

Speaker:

In an ideal world, you do it weekly, but uh, Yeah.

Speaker:

Just do what you can because most people, most businesses are

Speaker:

not looking at their analytics.

Speaker:

A lot of businesses have things like Google Analytics and the and, and all

Speaker:

the social networks and email platforms have analytics, but do you look at them?

Speaker:

That's the main thing to think about.

Speaker:

Alex says email is generally text-based and doesn't engage as

Speaker:

much as a short video promotion.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

True.

Speaker:

True, but I think we're all different.

Speaker:

So for example although I'm a big advocate obviously

Speaker:

of video personally, I.

Speaker:

Prefer text content.

Speaker:

So I prefer to be reminded about something just with text.

Speaker:

So like with I would prefer to receive a, an email about

Speaker:

it or a quick post on Facebook.

Speaker:

I don't really want to have to watch a short video promotion personally,

Speaker:

but I know that I'm although I'm not alone on that, I know that

Speaker:

many people prefer visual content.

Speaker:

So I think it's really a case.

Speaker:

Producing a lot of different types emails visual content, absolutely.

Speaker:

And I will be doing a lot of that.

Speaker:

Instagram reels Facebook videos, all that kind of stuff.

Speaker:

Really important, but I think it is just a case of diversifying that.

Speaker:

Okay, so we talked about analyzing it and then improving based on what

Speaker:

in the data and improving their.

Speaker:

The next thing is when it comes to business, obviously we've

Speaker:

got to focus on giving value.

Speaker:

So today I'm hoping that I am giving you who are watching or listening some

Speaker:

value in otherwise, what's the point in you watching or listening to this?

Speaker:

You might like me and that's important, but it does need to,

Speaker:

it does need to, I do need to be able to put, giving you value and.

Speaker:

really being able to be a catalyst for the transformation in your business

Speaker:

life and on, on your personal life.

Speaker:

So giving value is really important, but don't avoid being entertaining as well.

Speaker:

And, I think this is important when it comes to video content particularly,

Speaker:

you need to avoid boring content.

Speaker:

Now, boring is a very subjective word because this, what I'm

Speaker:

doing today is not gonna be interesting to some of my nephews.

Speaker:

My who are like 10, 10 or 11.

Speaker:

They're gonna be wanting to watch, say like a YouTube video on Minecraft.

Speaker:

A live show about marketing.

Speaker:

It's not gonna be interesting to them, but for.

Speaker:

A perfect audience.

Speaker:

It needs to be exciting, interesting, valuable content,

Speaker:

and you need to prepare for that.

Speaker:

You need to, you don't just go live without knowing what

Speaker:

you're gonna talk about.

Speaker:

You need to prepare for that.

Speaker:

So I think that's really important and being yourself as well.

Speaker:

Then and I was talking to Alec about this, about that your audience

Speaker:

have different, like preferences, so some of them like me were

Speaker:

like, Blog posts and text posts.

Speaker:

But some of them will like videos as well repurpose your live shows into

Speaker:

other types of content so that you can reach other people or reach the

Speaker:

same audience, but in multiple ways.

Speaker:

Repurposing your live show into a blog post, you can transcribe it using

Speaker:

a tool like Otter or Descript, or.

Speaker:

And then what you can do is then s summarize it.

Speaker:

There's loads of summarizing tools.

Speaker:

There's even artificial intelligence tools out there that will allow you to

Speaker:

summarize it or turn it into a blog post.

Speaker:

Either do that yourself or hire somebody to do that.

Speaker:

You could repurpose it into Twitter threads, which is

Speaker:

something that I really want to do.

Speaker:

I've, I really like Twitter threads into podcasts into social media

Speaker:

images, into little videos as well.

Speaker:

That's really, I.

Speaker:

Next thing is to do case studies or interviews with

Speaker:

successful businesses and.

Speaker:

this is a really important thing because it allows your audience to not just

Speaker:

interact with you, but interact with other businesses and to be inspired

Speaker:

and you can grow their brand as well.

Speaker:

As you are growing your own brand, they can help you as well, and

Speaker:

you can share your audience.

Speaker:

So don't just do things on your own, collaborate with other people, and.

Speaker:

. That's what I, that's one of the reasons why I have guests on my show.

Speaker:

I haven't had that many guests recently, but we've got Dorien coming on to the

Speaker:

next episode, and Al also next year got some really cool guests lined up.

Speaker:

So do think about that.

Speaker:

Alex says, what is the role of pattern interrupts in live videos?

Speaker:

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, Alex, so maybe if you could

Speaker:

clarify your question there.

Speaker:

Not entirely sure what you mean.

Speaker:

It's probably me being slow today.

Speaker:

Probably . What's the next one?

Speaker:

I think it's being aware of the future.

Speaker:

So this is something I'll, I'm always aware of because live

Speaker:

streaming marketing changes.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

The basics stay the same, but we've just had chats, gp G P T which is

Speaker:

this ai artificial intelligence chat I don't even know what to call it,

Speaker:

and, or talked about this last episode.

Speaker:

And this is a game changer in the marketing world.

Speaker:

And it, and it's very exciting.

Speaker:

With live streaming, things are changing all the time, so you do need

Speaker:

to be, , not necessarily on the cutting edge, but you need to be aware of

Speaker:

what is changing and what's happening in the world of live streaming and

Speaker:

learning how you can integrate that into your overall marketing strategy.

Speaker:

Cuz live streaming is not.

Speaker:

It.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Live streaming is not your marketing strategy.

Speaker:

It should not be the entirety of your marketing strategy.

Speaker:

It is part of it and you should have goals and you should be using it

Speaker:

to help move your business forward.

Speaker:

But it should be part of your overall strategy and you should

Speaker:

be using other things as well.

Speaker:

And use it to reach your business goals.

Speaker:

I think it's really important.

Speaker:

Katie is being very helpful.

Speaker:

Thank you.

Speaker:

I sometimes I find when I'm reading questions, my brain doesn't

Speaker:

always work the way I want it to.

Speaker:

So Katie has been a great translator here.

Speaker:

And it, Alec, I'm sure you it was a very well worded question,

Speaker:

but I just was being a bit thick.

Speaker:

So Katie says, I think he means breaking up the front camera view and

Speaker:

adding other angles and mini video.

Speaker:

and Zooms, et cetera.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

This is, I think this is important, making it a little bit more interesting.

Speaker:

And so I've got uh, I've actually, that's not very good.

Speaker:

I've got different cameras, different, so zoom settings on here.

Speaker:

And also I can split it up.

Speaker:

So for example, if I had a little segment and I want to move on to

Speaker:

the next one, I could do this.

Speaker:

You are listening to the Confident Live Marketing podcast.

Speaker:

That kind of thing.

Speaker:

So I think being able to split it up is good.

Speaker:

Yeah I think I think that makes it more interesting.

Speaker:

I don't use those that much.

Speaker:

I use them a little bit more when I have guests.

Speaker:

I think when I'm on, when I'm talking by myself, I find that a little bit

Speaker:

more difficult to do or it feels, I dunno, it just feels a little bit

Speaker:

artificial to split it up that way.

Speaker:

But I'll be interested to know what you think, Katie and Alec.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Alex says visual change that sparks or refocuses a vi a viewer's attention.

Speaker:

Owen video uses this effectively.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

He does a great job.

Speaker:

So I, yeah.

Speaker:

That's your pattern interrupt.

Speaker:

He says, I'm gonna give it some thought.

Speaker:

so there's a balance.

Speaker:

I think we've got to, we've got to be ourselves.

Speaker:

We've got to put forwards our own personality.

Speaker:

We've got to be try.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

We've got to be, what's the word I'm looking for?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

We've just gotta be ourselves.

Speaker:

And I think sometimes, We could put too many gizmos on these things.

Speaker:

So like too many kind of changing the cameras putting too

Speaker:

many visual elements on it.

Speaker:

But there's something in that and I, I maybe want to have

Speaker:

a little think about that.

Speaker:

I don't, so I don't, and so I dunno what you do, Alec, but

Speaker:

I don't completely plan my.

Speaker:

So I have, basically what I've got is I've got a beginning.

Speaker:

I've got my main section here.

Speaker:

I've got some bullet points here.

Speaker:

I could in between each section play one of the, those little those little videos,

Speaker:

but it feels to me it gets in the way.

Speaker:

But I could be wrong.

Speaker:

Now ca Yeah.

Speaker:

Katie is saying Yes it's natural to do it with guests on the live.

Speaker:

YouTube is different though, and needs a lot.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So I think with pre-recorded video, absolutely.

Speaker:

I think that's different.

Speaker:

I think so I do a lot of extra videos in there.

Speaker:

I have music in the background.

Speaker:

I think Owen video is quite a different upfront, snappy, sn style to yours.

Speaker:

And Owen is he is, he's a great guy.

Speaker:

He's he's really like full on energy.

Speaker:

Which is very much him.

Speaker:

If you meet him in real life, he is exactly like that.

Speaker:

He's a great guy.

Speaker:

But that is, that's not me.

Speaker:

And so I think you need to be, you need to just be aware of

Speaker:

what works with your personality.

Speaker:

You do need to ramp things up.

Speaker:

So I have this phrase called what's it called again?

Speaker:

Auth Authentic.

Speaker:

I am having one of those days, guys, my brain is just not working.

Speaker:

, I can't remember.

Speaker:

Heightened authenticity.

Speaker:

That's the word.

Speaker:

Heightened authenticity.

Speaker:

So you, so I'm more of a laid back kind of guy, but I do, I'm aware

Speaker:

that I need to put a little bit more energy into my lives as well.

Speaker:

And yeah I'm just, yeah, I'm, yeah.

Speaker:

I'm gonna give it some thought.

Speaker:

So Katie says yours is a more laid back style, but maybe it

Speaker:

needs to be a bit more exciting.

Speaker:

I'd love to know from you, do you want more excitement or do,

Speaker:

are you happy with the way it is?

Speaker:

I don't wanna change my personality.

Speaker:

I am who I am.

Speaker:

But Alec is saying entertainment factor and yes.

Speaker:

Adding a little bit more excitement and entertainment into it is something.

Speaker:

I think I probably need to do a little bit more and we need to be all aware of.

Speaker:

What I'm trying to say is with business, there is this feeling that it shouldn't

Speaker:

be entertaining, it should just be focused on value and I don't agree with that.

Speaker:

I think you do want to make it interesting.

Speaker:

You need to put your personality forwards as well, but you do

Speaker:

need to be yourself as well.

Speaker:

I think that's important.

Speaker:

So have a think about that.

Speaker:

I think that is it for this week.

Speaker:

I, that's, or for this episode.

Speaker:

That's all I wanted to share with you today.

Speaker:

Just, it's a short show today.

Speaker:

But what's been really interesting today with the comments is it's just really

Speaker:

cool to hear the other side, the my audience's side and to listen to them.

Speaker:

You might not always agree with your audience.

Speaker:

You may have different ideas, but ultimately, why are you live streaming?

Speaker:

I'm live streaming today not for the good of my health, . I'm live

Speaker:

streaming because of my audience.

Speaker:

I want to reach my audience.

Speaker:

I want to reach new people.

Speaker:

I want to make a difference in people's lives.

Speaker:

I want to, obviously, I want to grow my business as well,

Speaker:

so you have to think about.

Speaker:

Your audience, they are the most important.

Speaker:

You're not just doing this for the sake of it.

Speaker:

I think that is really important.

Speaker:

Katie says, I wanna add main points on my show overlays to help people visually

Speaker:

keep track of what I'm talking about.

Speaker:

That's a really good point.

Speaker:

And something that I want to do a little bit more.

Speaker:

That does require a little bit more upfront planning.

Speaker:

But definitely easy to do and it's something that I've think I've shared

Speaker:

about eight points today, which I've planned all ahead of time, so I could just

Speaker:

get them all up loaded up in, in advance.

Speaker:

That would be a really cool thing to do.

Speaker:

But thank you, Alec.

Speaker:

Thank you for your thoughts on that.

Speaker:

I'd love to chat to you more actually about.

Speaker:

How we can make our live shows a bit more entertaining.

Speaker:

Losing your personality or changing your personality.

Speaker:

And thank you, Katie, for all your thoughts.

Speaker:

That's been great.

Speaker:

I am back on Thursday.
