00:00:00 Sana: Listeners, I know all of us. All of us are overwhelmed. We are. We are surprised or we are confused, or we are wondering what exactly on earth is happening. And we kind of feel that. Uh, maybe there is no hope out there. But then just think about it. Like, what if this chaos unfolding around us right now maybe isn't a sign that things are falling apart, but it's a sign that something much older, much deeper, is finally breaking open. Maybe it's a cycle. It's it's maybe the nature rebuilding itself. Maybe it's the it's the whole planet rebuilding itself. Well, today we sit with that question and with a woman who, on a quiet Saturday walk in the spring of twenty twenty, felt the answer move through her like a current.

00:01:19 Sana: So welcome to the Mindful Living Show, dear listeners. And yes, this is the space where we slow down long enough to hear what life is actually trying to tell us. I am, sir, your host, and today I'm genuinely moved by this conversation we are about to have, because I'm joined by Christina Samaisha, a writer thinker, a consciousness explorer who believes that we are living through one of the most, most significant evolutionary shifts humanity has ever experienced. I'm very sure you all are excited. So let's get quickly started. And Christina, welcome to this show. And as always, it's an honor having you.

00:02:05 Christina Samycia: Thank you. It's an honor to be here.

00:02:08 Sana: Okay. Awesome. Christina. I'm, you know, this is exactly what I also am feeling right now. Many of our listeners are feeling this phrase right now. The world is broken, but you see it it differently. Um, and, um, I would love to understand when you look at what's unfolding on the planet right now, what, what do you believe is actually happening beneath all this noise, this fear, you know? Yeah.

00:02:42 Christina Samycia: Well, I believe we're going through a collective awakening, which is going to which is sparking an evolution in consciousness. And I think what's happening right now is, um, you've probably heard the term, you know, we're going through an apocalyptic time, right? And in the true meaning of apocalypse, which means the unveiling or revealing of truths. So what is happening on a collective level is we are seeing all of the dysfunction, the darkness, the shadow of humanity, and it's being brought to the surface because, um, and I come from a, you know, a psychological background, kind of like in psychotherapy, you cannot evolve and grow and heal unless you.

00:03:27 Speaker 2: Look.

00:03:27 Christina Samycia: At the dysfunction, understand it, process it, and, um, move on to something better, bigger and better. And that's what's happening, I believe, on a collective level is that so many of us have been in cognitive dissonance as to what is truly happening on the planet. And all of us, no matter where you come from, what part of the world socioeconomic background doesn't really matter. We're all being impacted by this global, you know, dysfunction. And, um, and it's, it's a lot, it's very scary because our eyes are, you know, wide open. I mean, some of us, and I think I, everybody's eyes are kind of opening to, to some level of this and it is very, very scary. And that's one of the reasons I wrote my book, Evolving Consciousness, because I wanted to give words to explain what is happening on a global, you know, on a global level and to sort of give tools as well as hope because yes, things are falling apart, but things have to fall apart because this just isn't working. And unfortunately, right now, you know, I believe we're going through what I call the crumbling phase, you know, but we are going to be in the process of rebuilding something better that's going to be better for all of us.

00:04:59 Sana: Yeah. And I also believe that, and I was kind of listening to a different kind of podcast. It was not exactly connected with this, but it's kind of, you know, a cycle in there that it's like the seasons or the cycles that, you know, um, and of course we know that, you know, nature has its very unique way of creation and destruction. Even if it is destructive at one end. On the other end, it definitely gives way to, different forms and different energies. That's how we have seen the evolution happening that, you know, there's a destruction of an entire species that gives way to the smaller species. You know, like the dinosaurs gave way to the smaller species and many other species to evolve and, you know, adapt to the current surroundings, to the, their present surroundings.

00:06:01 Christina Samycia: Yes, yes. Yeah. We're going through an evolutionary cycle and it's probably happened before on this planet, you know. So.

00:06:12 Sana: And yeah, of course you're not like dinosaurs, but we are kind of, I think right now, at this rate, we are kind of we would be responsible for our own. I don't know, probably destruction. Yeah. Because I think if we look at the levels of intelligence, uh, humans are the ones, you know, with the intelligence. But then if we try to think of that scenario when that intelligence itself is, is, uh, instrumental in, in destructing the species itself and everything around that specie and the entire planet itself, then what kind of future are we looking at?

00:06:54 Christina Samycia: Right. Well, it's also our ego that thinks that we are the intellectual species, right? Yeah. So. Right. You know, there's so many different levels of intelligence. And when I look at, you know, the animals on the planet, for example, they seem to be pretty highly intelligent, maybe more intelligent than we are because they figured out how to exist without destroying the planet. Right? Yeah.

00:07:20 Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:07:20 Sana: And, and if we think that, you know, we are the most intelligent Once in the entire universe. That is not true because up until now, we knew that the earth is the only planet which is supporting, um, you know, the living beings. Now we know we have multiple galaxies. We have multiple solar systems. Probably each of the solar system has its own earth. So we are not alone anymore. I don't think.

00:07:51 Christina Samycia: So. Right. And it's again, it's our ego that thinks that we're superior, you know, and it's, it's important for us to be a little bit more humble.

00:08:00 Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:08:01 Sana: That's right. Okay. And, uh, Christina, you have described something that you call. So now for the listeners of the Mindful Living, let me tell you everyone that just before this, we recorded another episode with Christina on Cosmic Confluence. And we tried to understand the matrix, not the one that we popularly see on social media or online, but the actual meaning of matrix. Uh, so yes, I'll put the link in the show notes so you can listen, give it a listen. Um, but, uh, Christina, you call something which is dysfunctional matrix. Um, what, what exactly it is. And I'm curious, like when you look at why people continue to participate in something like that, it isn't working for them. I mean, what patterns do you see?

00:08:52 Christina Samycia: Well, there's of course, several, several patterns. We'll, I'll, I'll start by kind of explaining that, um. Eighty to ninety nine percent of our brain activity is subconscious. That's something that we really need to fully understand because most people think that they're very logical, rational thinkers. But if we understand that most of our behavior and thought process is driven by subconscious dynamics, that's a really important place to, to start. And our and I illustrate this in, in, in my book, Evolving Consciousness in that, um, the subconscious, the foundation of our subconscious mind is created in early childhood. And unless we explore it and process it and resolve it and upgrade our belief systems, we're still maneuvering the world, as, you know, little, little children who have subconscious needs and desires that were never met, um, in childhood. So an example of this, if you ever, um, let's say work in a group, um, and I've, I've never actually had a job. I've always had, you know, I've been a psychologist and had my own practice, but I see this, you know, when I talk to my clients, it's like whenever you have a group, everybody seems to revert to like who they were at five years old. Right. And, um, and that's how, and that's like an example of how like dynamics, the subconscious dynamics sort of, um, play out. So in terms of like the dysfunctional matrix, one of the important things is for us to understand that we have this internalized child that still wants to be taken care of, and we look for external sources to take care of us, provide us with guidance and wisdom, and, you know, whatever other things that we that we think we need. But essentially we are giving our power away. And, um, an important thing to, to do during this, like shift in consciousness is to understand this victim consciousness that we hold and resolve it and transcend it and understand that we are powerful sovereign beings. And to really step into that, into that power.

00:11:18 Speaker 2: Um.

00:11:20 Sana: So you're talking about the inner child within us.

00:11:23 Speaker 2: Mhm.

00:11:24 Sana: Yeah, I know. Yeah. And you know, just imagine yourself, you know, how you were as a kid. You, I mean, as as kids, we wanted that safety, that emotional safety, that nurture, that love. Um, and, and, um, compassion and, that playfulness, um, not always having that, anxiety, maybe getting stuck in the past or in the future, but just, you know, we're trying to enjoy, we are trying to play and, that's, that's I yeah, that's why, there's a different kind of connection that as adults, we, we have, when we see kids playing or we hear their, their laughter, their chuckle. So that makes us feel like, you know, yeah, we are back to our childhood again because our inner child itself, you know, sometimes it's not healed and it just wants that emotional safety and nurturing to feel like it's right.

00:12:21 Christina Samycia: And also when because we didn't always get that love and nurturing and protection that created large amounts of emotional pain, anxiety, sadness, and, and our brain has a, has a way of defending us from those feelings. And so we either deny it, repress it. You know, there's all these different defense mechanisms. So and that is one of the reasons we have this cognitive dissonance is that if we were to see that, you know, people who are in and I'm using air quotes, positions of power because they're only powerful if we assign it to them. You know, in my world, these people are not powerful. They're just, you know, they perceive to have power and other people are giving them power. Um, but if we were to see that those people who we want to trust so deeply are really not looking at our best interests. Um, that's what's creating this cognitive dissonance because then we would have to explore all of the pain and suffering we felt as children. And most people cannot psychologically handle that. Um, so that's why a lot of cognitive dissonance does exist because most people have not done their inner work and, and have processed these, these sort of feelings. And as you process them, then you can become a little bit more, more aware of the, the truths of the world.

00:13:59 Speaker 2: MM.

00:14:00 Sana: That absolutely makes sense. And another, another, um, you know, part of the conversation that makes me really curious is you speak a lot about Age of Aquarius. And I have, uh, I have been made familiar of, of this, concept, Um, through very few conversations. when we were talking about New Earth, uh, that, you know, um, very different kind of, you know, thought process in there. So once again, for me, it would be like a revision, but for someone in our listeners who is not familiar with this, how would you describe, you know, what this is exactly like how it means in practical terms.

00:14:45 Speaker 2: Mhm.

00:14:46 Christina Samycia: And also understand, when we talk about concept of age of Aquarius, these are all symbolisms, right? I think a lot of people take this very, you know, literally. Yeah. Um, but from a kind of metaphysical symbolic, uh, perspective. So if you think about the last two thousand five hundred years, correct. We were in the age of Pisces and Pisces is what the martyr, the savior. You know, we were looking outside of ourselves for answers and guidance. And. And now, as we're moving in a metaphysical way into the age of Aquarius, it's it's all about being self-sufficient, self-reliant, sovereign, and also being the humanitarian, um, and understanding what is going to be best for everybody, not just for a slight population, you know, of the, of the world to look at the bigger, you know, the bigger picture. So that's how I would define sort of this concept of the, the age of Aquarius as we're moving out of the age of Pisces into a different, um, kind of time.

00:15:56 Speaker 2: Oh, okay.

00:15:58 Sana: I love that, I love that, you know, because it brings back to, uh, I think, uh, it brings back to the personal, to the daily, to the one human sitting in there. Maybe, they're listening to this, sitting in their kitchen Wondering like why nothing feels quite right anymore. Um, and, the symbolism, it's, it's definitely, it's kind of a beautiful in its own way as well. Um, okay. And kind of, uh, something that you share in the previous episode about your moment, uh, your journey of awakening, like in the years since that walk in twenty twenty, Christina has your own understanding of this shift continue to evolve. Like, have there been moments of doubt or moments where the purpose deep deepened even further?

00:16:56 Christina Samycia: Um, a little bit of both. You know, there are moments of doubt because I think a lot of like my colleagues and friends that were on sort of the same, you know.

00:17:10 Speaker 2: Understanding Mhm.

00:17:12 Christina Samycia: We're, you know, we're kind of like, well, when is this all going to just collapse? And, and let's, let's start, you know, and we, I think we all had this assumption that this was going to happen like sooner than later and maybe an our lifetime. And something I'm understanding is that it may happen in my lifetime that we're going to see a whole new world. But, you know, if you want to look at it in a, it may take five hundred years, another thousand years, you know, so that has been, um, I think a challenge to just be, you know, patient, sort of with the, you know, with the process and how things have deepened for me is I've just kind of just explored deeper levels of like, you know, questioning and, and that's actually why I'm writing this, this new book because there's just new kind of information that I did not include in the last one because it's just new, you know, new new awareness.

00:18:17 Speaker 2: That's true. That's true. Yeah. And we all would probably want it to happen as soon as possible.

00:18:26 Christina Samycia: And we just, you know, we, we don't know. And, um, it's been, uh, it's been a practice in, in patience, you know, um, like things have accelerated and then things kind of stop, but then there's a little acceleration and, you know, and I, I kind of think at the beginning of this year with all of the, you know, disclosure that came out, I think so many of us were like, oh my gosh, now things are really going to take off. And it just hasn't. And it's kind of dumbfounding to us in a little discouraging and, you know, but we're, we're still moving onward and upward.

00:19:12 Sana: I think, uh, once again, I think it's a cycle. Um, and, unfortunately or fortunately, um, I think I shouldn't even call it a collateral damage. Absolutely not, absolutely not. Because the people who get affected, they are the ones who have done nothing, who have done nothing, they have nothing to contribute to that destruction. Uh, they are just, you know, at the most vulnerable end receiving end. And that really irks, that really irks. And, and, um, if everything is, is kind of defined by, uh, power, money and greed. Yeah. That's, that's, that's why, you know, someone like me would hope that, you know, just let this end as soon as possible. I know it's not going to happen immediately, But.

00:20:12 Christina Samycia: Yeah, it's but these are the realities we really need to, you know, to understand, to understand that the innocent people are suffering. And that is why this has to stop, because we just can't keep, you know, all the suffering on the planet. And that's where I, you know, a lot of people kind of say, well, what can I do? And I'm really mad. You know, so many people are terrible, right? But it's like we are all being affected. So if there's somebody on the other side of the planet who's suffering, we're all suffering because we're all on this planet together, and we have to get over this illusion of separation because we're not we're all interconnected beings. And it's our ego that thinks, well, I'm separate than, you know, the person over there that, you know, is, is, is in a war torn, you know, country. It's like, no. And and even if we're not going through similar suffering, there still is suffering all over the planet. It's just has it just looks maybe a little bit different. But, um, it's, it's, you know, there's lots of, it's, there's a lot of sadness and it's just different, uh, different stories. But we all have to like, I think, start taking responsibility over the collective because we're all participating in it. Yeah.

00:21:45 Sana: Oh, great. So, Christina, for, uh, the people listening who want to go deeper with your work, uh, whether that's your writing, your ideas, your, your perspective on all of this, where can they find you and follow along?

00:22:01 Christina Samycia: Yeah. So they can go to my website, which has my email address and phone number and social media accounts. Um, it's Christina with the c h, so c h r I s t I n a p as in Paul, s as in Sam, y as in yellow, D as in David. So Christina c d dot com. Awesome.

00:22:23 Sana: So listeners, I'm going to drop all the links in the show notes. And Christina, thank you so much for, uh, once again, uh, this, this conversation and for all the work that you are doing.

00:22:39 Christina Samycia: Thank you very much. I appreciate being here.

00:22:43 Sana: And thank you to everyone who slowed down long enough to be here with us today. And if this conversation stirred something in you, sit with that stirring. Don't rush past it, because that feeling is information. And I'll be back soon with another conversation designed to meet you exactly where you are. Until then, take good care of yourself and of each other. Thank you.
