Speaker A:

I am so grateful you are here.

Speaker B:

Let's get started.

Speaker A:

Foreign.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the show.

Speaker A:

This is the first episode post holiday season

Speaker A:

and happy New Year, which is so weird because I'm recording it ahead of time,

Speaker A:

but happy, happy New Year. I hope you had a great holiday.

Speaker A:

I hope that you gave yourself the time that you needed.

Speaker A:

You know, all of this work, all of the subconscious work that I talk about all the

Speaker A:

time,

Speaker A:

I'm always learning it in lifetime.

Speaker A:

And one of the things that coming off of a

Speaker A:

holiday,

Speaker A:

the amount of prep mode and cooking and cleaning up and maybe driving, we do a lot of

Speaker A:

driving.

Speaker A:

When it comes to holiday like you have to give

Speaker A:

yourself time to recover.

Speaker A:

And I think that is something that I am learning like as I continue to get older is

Speaker A:

when you recover and when you give yourself time to recharge that power of the pause which

Speaker A:

is so uncomfortable.

Speaker A:

I know that is really where your growth happens.

Speaker A:

It's like literally where so many things can come from.

Speaker A:

That's where creativity can drop in.

Speaker A:

That's where all of a sudden it's like you get

Speaker A:

clarity on what you want to do.

Speaker A:

We have to take a hot moment to breathe.

Speaker A:

So I really hope that you have given yourself that.

Speaker A:

And welcome back to this new year in.

Speaker A:

You know, we are stepping into the nine years

Speaker A:

of the podcast.

Speaker A:

This year we will be hitting our thousandth

Speaker A:

episode in I believe the end of April.

Speaker A:

So we will be doing something for that as a big celebration.

Speaker A:

And I'm just grateful like honestly, I'm so grateful to have you plugged into this show to

Speaker A:

be a part of it.

Speaker A:

And every time you write a review, you drop me a dm, you tag me on something,

Speaker A:

it just lights me up.

Speaker A:

Honestly, it does.

Speaker A:

Because as a podcaster most of the time we are literally feeling like we're talking to

Speaker A:

ourselves.

Speaker A:

So I'm just want to say a very heartfelt

Speaker A:

grateful thank you for you.

Speaker A:

And I want to start off the year with a couple of simple episodes that really can help you

Speaker A:

shift into what are you going to create this year?

Speaker A:

How is 2026 going to be different for you?

Speaker A:

And what it really a big piece of.

Speaker A:

Everything that I do is about subconscious

Speaker A:

work and understanding that your subconscious mind is running 95% of who you are, what you

Speaker A:

do, how you speak, how you show up.

Speaker A:

See, most people think that they are making conscious choices, like I choose to do this.

Speaker A:

But in reality, 95% of that life is being run by parts of your mind that you've never even

Speaker A:

met.

Speaker A:

You don't know them.

Speaker A:

It's like you're not connected to it.

Speaker A:

It's like two separate parts of you.

Speaker A:

And so I really want to just give you a clear,

Speaker A:

simple framework of the difference between conscious and subconscious work and conscious

Speaker A:

and subconscious mind.

Speaker A:

Because especially as we're coming into the new year, everybody's going to be jumping on

Speaker A:

the bandwagon of, you know, do the vision board, do the script, do that.

Speaker A:

And all of those things have a factor,

Speaker A:

and they have a factor in about the 5%,

Speaker A:

the rest of it.

Speaker A:

More importantly, the thing that is shaping

Speaker A:

your identity, your business, the results you keep getting on repeat is your identity.

Speaker A:

And that is all anchored in your subconscious mind.

Speaker A:

All of it is.

Speaker A:

So in nlp, we tend to look at the mind as layers and each one has like different

Speaker A:

responsibilities and patterns and how you can access it.

Speaker A:

And we tend to think that the conscious mind is in charge because the conscious mind is

Speaker A:

taking in 11 million bits of information every second through our what do we see feel here

Speaker A:

and as well as like taste and smell,

Speaker A:

but primarily of what do we see feel in here?

Speaker A:

And our conscious mind takes in all this information.

Speaker A:

If the conscious mind took in the 11 million bytes of information, your brain would

Speaker A:

literally explode.

Speaker A:

It could not do it.

Speaker A:

That's when the subconscious has to kick in.

Speaker A:

So your conscious mind is not in charge.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

It's actually kind of really small part of you.

Speaker A:

It's like a 5%.

Speaker A:

And so I want you to think about like your,

Speaker A:

your subconscious is speaking to you often.

Speaker A:

Your conscious mind is your goal setter.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

We're great, great, great goal setters.

Speaker A:

And what we want to do is set you up for success so that when you set the conscious

Speaker A:

goal, your subconscious mind is on board.

Speaker A:

Right. One of the things I spoke about last year in some episodes, and it's going to be

Speaker A:

coming out in Unbothered this year, is the fact that the ceiling Is your biggest thought,

Speaker A:

like, how big can you think for your business?

Speaker A:

And your floor is your deepest belief.

Speaker A:

Most people, the gap between the ceiling and

Speaker A:

the floor is so big,

Speaker A:

it's so big that they can't figure out how to work harder.

Speaker A:

When actually has nothing to do with work ethic.

Speaker A:

It has to do with where's that floor, where's the belief?

Speaker A:

So I want to give you a little bit of a metaphor,

Speaker A:

right? Your conscious mind is kind of like that upper

Speaker A:

floor of your house.

Speaker A:

It's like you're setting that the main floor,

Speaker A:

like where you make decisions, where you plan out what it's going to look like, where you

Speaker A:

think you're in control.

Speaker A:

And it's actually really the smallest bandwidth that you have.

Speaker A:

It's like that logical, analytical,

Speaker A:

loud, direct,

Speaker A:

strategic part of you.

Speaker A:

It has a very, very big role.

Speaker A:

Yet the floor,

Speaker A:

the basement of your house, is actually where all of your beliefs live.

Speaker A:

Your thoughts, your stories, your emotional patterns, identity,

Speaker A:

your language, your, like the meta model, how you speak.

Speaker A:

It's all in the basement.

Speaker A:

If that basement is not solid and not online with what you're trying to create up here,

Speaker A:

the basement will never hold it.

Speaker A:

Right? You can add the most beautiful curtains to a

Speaker A:

second story of your house,

Speaker A:

but if your foundation is ****, it's going to crash, it's never going to hold it.

Speaker A:

We want to be able to bring the two to work together.

Speaker A:

And when your conscious and your subconscious don't work together, it feels like this

Speaker A:

internal like disconnect feeling that it's like, it's just uncomfortable.

Speaker A:

It's a tug of war that's happening and we want to bring them together.

Speaker A:

That is when you become the most powerful,

Speaker A:

right? When your subconscious mind is on board with

Speaker A:

what you say you want,

Speaker A:

then it gets so much easier to align your effort with what you're doing.

Speaker A:

So when we're in this space,

Speaker A:

your nervous system ties in as well,

Speaker A:

because your nervous system is the one that's on guard.

Speaker A:

So when it perceives that there is some threat or there's a stress and it's too much, the

Speaker A:

nervous system immediately contracts.

Speaker A:

And then the subconscious mind is like, wait, what?

Speaker A:

Where's the threat? Where's the threat?

Speaker A:

Let me look around.

Speaker A:

Where's the threat?

Speaker A:

And it's prepping and priming your system.

Speaker A:

So consciously you're like, we're going for it.

Speaker A:

Like we're creating this.

Speaker A:

We're doing it.

Speaker A:

It feels amazing.

Speaker A:

And subconsciously it might feel like it's in a contraction phase because it's number one

Speaker A:

job is to keep you safe.

Speaker A:

And that feels scary over there.

Speaker A:

And so this has been probably one of my biggest life lessons that I wanted to share

Speaker A:

and I lived last year in full,

Speaker A:

is this piece that, like, the subconscious is working with and shaping how my nervous system

Speaker A:

is responding, and my nervous system is actually shaping the capacity that I'm

Speaker A:

holding.

Speaker A:

What that means is that you cannot outwork something you do not believe is possible.

Speaker A:

So when you're setting your vision board for what you want to create for 2026,

Speaker A:

I want you to actually stop and ask yourself, how would I feel if that happened?

Speaker A:

Am I the version of myself that can hold that?

Speaker A:

Because when you can reprogram your subconscious to what you want and to see

Speaker A:

yourself as the identity of the person who can hold that, the patterns, the safety, the

Speaker A:

regulation,

Speaker A:

the, like, identity, that is who I am.

Speaker A:

It all connects.

Speaker A:

It's like the Lego pieces actually come

Speaker A:

together then.

Speaker A:

So here's an example.

Speaker A:

At the end of 2025, I really took a close look at what am I doing in my business in 2026.

Speaker A:

I don't advise, like, just setting goals.

Speaker A:

I like to take inventory.

Speaker A:

The last year, what worked, what didn't, where did I have success, what can I make changes

Speaker A:

with, et cetera.

Speaker A:

And then where do I need support in 2026?

Speaker A:

So I had a great conversation with one of my mentors, and I actually was like, this is

Speaker A:

where I'm at.

Speaker A:

And I have invested, like, thousands and tens of thousands of dollars my business.

Speaker A:

And I do not have an issue with investing.

Speaker A:

And I also felt that this is the year that the investments are going to have to come into the

Speaker A:

back end of my business to support where we're going.

Speaker A:

So if I think of it this way,

Speaker A:

like, the investments of what I'm looking in my own business will solidify the foundation

Speaker A:

and the, like, the basement of the house so that what I'm working towards can hold what

Speaker A:

I'm building.

Speaker A:

And it all made sense to me.

Speaker A:

And the opportunity has come up, and I took a

Speaker A:

close look at it, and my first immediate response was contraction.

Speaker A:

I was like, interesting.

Speaker A:

Where did that come from? I could feel it.

Speaker A:

And I knew it.

Speaker A:

My body's response was like, oh, nope, scary contraction.

Speaker A:

So I stopped, and I'm like, okay, I just need to pause.

Speaker A:

I'm not saying yes or no right now.

Speaker A:

I know it's a yes for me.

Speaker A:

Like, I actually know that this is exactly what I need.

Speaker A:

Is it scary? Absolutely.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

And I think it's actually scarier not to.

Speaker A:

That's the conversation that's happening right now.

Speaker A:

So I'm sharing with you live time because I have these big things that are already

Speaker A:

happening for this year ahead.

Speaker A:

And I'm looking at where are the gaps? What do I need support with so that that can

Speaker A:

happen?

Speaker A:

And so I really sat with it and I recognized how my body went into contraction.

Speaker A:

That is old programming, that is old limiting beliefs that are coming up to the surface.

Speaker A:

That's where it drops into like the discipline, the push, the force, the it's,

Speaker A:

it's hustle, work harder.

Speaker A:

All these things is really coming from a fear

Speaker A:

based lack mentality.

Speaker A:

And I can see it.

Speaker A:

So what I'm sharing with you is, is that you

Speaker A:

can consciously look at those patterns and see them and see them for what they are.

Speaker A:

They're not true.

Speaker A:

They're just patterns that I have.

Speaker A:

They're patterns that my body goes into a fear state of, like, can I do this?

Speaker A:

Can I hold this?

Speaker A:

And consciously I believe I can.

Speaker A:

I a hundred percent believe that I can.

Speaker A:

Where's my gap? It's the subconscious piece.

Speaker A:

Can I get my subconscious mind on board so that it is working together so the LEGO pieces

Speaker A:

can come together?

Speaker A:

And I wanted to share this with you because this is setting yourself up for success.

Speaker A:

And setting yourself up for success also means looking at what didn't work last year.

Speaker A:

Where did the gaps happen?

Speaker A:

And I am full honesty right now.

Speaker A:

Every time something wasn't working, it's because I'm the cog in the wheel, a hundred

Speaker A:

percent.

Speaker A:

I'm the cog in the wheel because I fall back

Speaker A:

into old patterns.

Speaker A:

I'm working really hard, I'm taking on

Speaker A:

everything.

Speaker A:

I'm trying to make it happen.

Speaker A:

I'm trying to push the snowball up the hill.

Speaker A:

And so I see it.

Speaker A:

We can consciously interrupt those patterns.

Speaker A:

We can consciously see those patterns.

Speaker A:

It requires reprogramming to see yourself as the identity of the person who can do it.

Speaker A:

And so that was my example that I wanted to share with you.

Speaker A:

This is the piece where I can program my subconscious and I can say like a constant

Speaker A:

repeat, you are safe.

Speaker A:

You have this, you can do this.

Speaker A:

And I have people who believe in me and I actually want the two to come together.

Speaker A:

So this is where I saw in Live Time with myself where the conflict started.

Speaker A:

It's like the LEGO pieces came apart again.

Speaker A:

I'm like, oh, there's the gap.

Speaker A:

There's a gap in these LEGO pieces between the conscious and the subconscious that I want to

Speaker A:

bring together.

Speaker A:

Let me give you another example.

Speaker A:

Visibility is something that comes a lot in my

Speaker A:

world.

Speaker A:

People come to me because they want to be more

Speaker A:

visible,

Speaker A:

outspoken, calls them in, unbothered calls them in.

Speaker A:

And if you know about human design,

Speaker A:

a lot of them are a two line, and a two line is a hermit, which means they want more

Speaker A:

visibility,

Speaker A:

they don't feel safe to have it.

Speaker A:

So you can consciously want to show up more.

Speaker A:

You can be like, yeah, this year I'm like

Speaker A:

getting on the podcast, I'm going out there, I'm going to go to all the events, I'm going

Speaker A:

to network.

Speaker A:

If your subconscious believes that visibility is unsafe, or it equals like danger, judgment,

Speaker A:

rejection, fear, opinions,

Speaker A:

then what's going to happen is it's going to trigger more feelings of like, pause, freeze,

Speaker A:

anxiety, procrastination, shut down.

Speaker A:

You can go in every room that you is available.

Speaker A:

You can pay through the nose to go to every event.

Speaker A:

But if you become the fly in the mall because you're too afraid to speak to someone because

Speaker A:

of fear of what can happen,

Speaker A:

that's the disconnect,

Speaker A:

Right? That's the disconnect.

Speaker A:

Another example is you can consciously want to grow your business.

Speaker A:

I have been working at growing my business for the last two years and it has been growing.

Speaker A:

If your subconscious identity says, I'm not safe to hold more, I can't hold more and

Speaker A:

manage everything,

Speaker A:

then that's a disconnect.

Speaker A:

So we want to be able to see and feel and

Speaker A:

hear, where is the gap where the Lego pieces actually don't fit?

Speaker A:

And what can you do to support that gap, that bridge, to bring it together so that your

Speaker A:

efforts are matching,

Speaker A:

like what you're doing, and your beliefs actually match that effort.

Speaker A:

It requires a lot of reframing, a lot of identity work, like at the subconscious level,

Speaker A:

hypnosis, nlp, timeline work, releasing stuck emotions, releasing limiting decisions, and

Speaker A:

any kind of nervous system tools to regulate yourself,

Speaker A:

recognizing where there is a gap,

Speaker A:

where there is something that is not consistent, that it's not working together.

Speaker A:

When you see that you're not just changing a habit, you're changing who you are, that's the

Speaker A:

identity piece.

Speaker A:

We want to create a new pattern that actually puts you together.

Speaker A:

Putting the Lego pieces together,

Speaker A:

the nice curtains on the top floor that match the foundation that can hold it, the business

Speaker A:

that's growing,

Speaker A:

that has the foundation to hold it, the capacity to hold it, the support in your

Speaker A:

business, working really hard, but having the support that can actually hold the foundation.

Speaker A:

Like those two things, when they start to work together honestly,

Speaker A:

that's when things actually connect and they actually can grow with even more ease than you

Speaker A:

could have ever imagined.

Speaker A:

I did a Black Friday special.

Speaker A:

I've never done that before.

Speaker A:

And in full transparency, I did it for myself.

Speaker A:

To be able to put myself out there to connect

Speaker A:

with new people and to remind myself that I have done enough.

Speaker A:

I have done enough.

Speaker A:

That's my story on repeat.

Speaker A:

I have to do more.

Speaker A:

And that was a reminder for me.

Speaker A:

A, I have done more than enough.

Speaker A:

B, it's easier for people to get into my world.

Speaker A:

I have.

Speaker A:

I can show and offer different things.

Speaker A:

And C, one of the big things for me is it was safe to receive support.

Speaker A:

I hired somebody on the back end to set up that entire system.

Speaker A:

Could I have done it myself? Yes.

Speaker A:

It would have been about 10 hours of work.

Speaker A:

Soon as I started looking, I'm like, yeah, no,

Speaker A:

done.

Speaker A:

And I anchored in what it was like to receive support.

Speaker A:

So that was like new learning.

Speaker A:

Anytime you do something different than what

Speaker A:

your past version of you has done, you are rewiring in the moment.

Speaker A:

You are building the foundation where there might be cracks in the belief.

Speaker A:

So those are how you bring it together.

Speaker A:

I'm curious if this is landing for you and if this can help you to look at your goals

Speaker A:

differently coming into the new year.

Speaker A:

Because I've got a couple of episodes coming up.

Speaker A:

If you are local in the KW area, I am actually running like a visionary soiree.

Speaker A:

It's called on Friday, January 9th.

Speaker A:

And I've partnered with the High Vibe Summit so that I am like supporting in their

Speaker A:

community and running this event.

Speaker A:

This is very different than creating a vision

Speaker A:

board.

Speaker A:

Very, very different.

Speaker A:

And it will change how your business and your year can unfold.

Speaker A:

So this is the beautiful thing.

Speaker A:

Your conscious mind can set the goal.

Speaker A:

We want to solidify what is happening at the subconscious mind in your nervous system so

Speaker A:

that you can rewire it to match what your efforts are and they get to work together.

Speaker A:

When they work together,

Speaker A:

you will blow your mind.

Speaker A:

I promise you.

Speaker A:

You're going to shock yourself with what you can do.

Speaker A:

Sending you so, so, so much love and I just want to say thank you for being here and happy

Speaker A:

Happy New year.

Speaker A:

On this 950th episode.

Speaker A:

Be so freaking grateful for you.

Speaker B:

Have a good day.

Speaker B:

Thank you so much so much for tuning in to another episode of Own youn Choices, Own youn

Speaker B:

Life.

Speaker B:

If you love this episode, I invite you to tag

Speaker B:

me on social media with your takeaways or share it with a friend,

Speaker B:

please.

Speaker A:

If you feel called, take 30 seconds to leave a five star review.

Speaker B:

And I will be forever grateful.

Speaker B:

Until next time.

Speaker B:

Remember, when you own your choices, you truly own your life.
