where we were but Denver let's get back to him so he is a three-year-old stallion um we waited until this show

for his debut and so what he showed in is called the pleasure versatility

challenge so it's for three-year-olds only it's a kind of a mixture of Western

Pleasure halter and then there's a pattern and the pattern has aspects of Trail western riding horsemanship it had

spins it had lead changes it had um uh pole work all the things so

they're each scored individually on each different section and then there's an overall placing and so it was just kind

of wild um that that was his debut I believe I'm I'm not sure I don't want to put false information out there I don't

know that there were many other horses in the class that were true maidens they weren't allowed to show in the trail or

western riding events before the show but they could have shown in the pleasure so a lot of the horses that were in this class had been showing the

pleasure since they were two and then throughout this year so it was very very

um intense I was very nervous what okay from the outside looking in um what did

I look like yesterday you're were stressing yeah it it was I don't know I think I now know

what my mom went through with showing like watching me show because you have no control yeah and you're just letting

someone else be out there doing it and then you're just so nervous for it to happen but I I did have a question on

the spins while we were watching sometimes they would spin slow extremely

proper I would call it and then sometimes they would just whip around and then whip around is there a benefit

3-year-old horse M you walk into this Arena by yourself you would think that that's less spooky for them than going

into a big crowded warm-up Arena but in a big crowded warm-up Arena there's like consistent noise there's consistent

movement whereas when they go in there by themselves the lights are bright there's people like especially at this

class that's kind of I posted a thing on Facebook being like let's be respectful of the three-year-old horses you know cuz there's a difference between

consistent noise or like you know everyone's quiet until they hit that first lead change and then everyone's

like it was way louder at this hor show than I ever imagined and it's like I you

know there's a couple times I like you know was excited

creates a different atmosphere for those young horses and so you know for those lead changes for those spins for being

focused for being able to perform on a dime and like you know for for spin

specifically like you're asking about with young horses like that a lot of the times you'll like set them up for it so

you're you walk them in circles and you get them kind of going that direction and then you like start them into it

whereas that it's like they just did this whole pattern stop on a dime and then go right into pivoting it's very

difficult to get them to swap their brains so much you know um so I think everyone in that class did

fantastic but if you noticed I those horses that did try to do those fast

spins that probably didn't execute as great in the class they probably kill it out in the like it's just is that a

fitting him up and stuff like that and so we felt really confident and then when I saw everyone lined up I was like

oh my god there are so many nice horses in here it's crazy so it it was definitely a steep pin and you know

there is something special to be said about like a three-year-old being broke enough to do I say broke people don't

like that word it's like they're trained enough they are seasoned enough to go in there and do all that stuff and have the

stamina honestly you don't think that slow work takes stamina the amount of muscle they have to have to like hold

themselves like that for that long to do the brain power like to keep it together for the pattern then the rail class then

like and the video is fun because after the rail class they don't leave the

arena they all stay in there and they have a team come in with a wheelbarrow unsaddle they have five minutes to get

them cleaned up for the halter yeah literally was like the pit crew it was crazy and um and then they have to go

show Hal and then raddle and do the awards and so it was it was awesome it was definitely

a lot more entertaining than the other ones that we've watched but that could have also just been that we had someone

to root for and I was going to say cuz remember how exciting it was last year at the congress with Hank showing and we were we went and watched him like that

was you know we're sitting there I was I was very nervous at that show but it's like I didn't own Hank anymore at that

point either and so this one was and this one has the aspect of the fact that

you know Denver's a stallion Prospect he's not just a gilding or you know whatever like we want him have a long

show career but this was also like his maiden voyage to show people what he can do
