Voiceover:

Everybody's got an opinion.

Voiceover:

Every Californian and Virginian.

Voiceover:

It's so hard to tell who to trust and who to ignore.

Voiceover:

Someone's gotta settle the score.

Voiceover:

Trey and Chelsey will help you choose.

Voiceover:

Who's views win.

Voiceover:

Which ones lose.

Voiceover:

Online haters are coming for you.

Voiceover:

Baby, it's time to Review That Review!

Chelsey Donn:

Hello.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh hi, and welcome to Review That Review.

Trey Gerrald:

We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing

Chelsey Donn:

Reviews,

Trey Gerrald:

that is Chelsey Donn,

Chelsey Donn:

and that is Trey.

Chelsey Donn:

Gerrald.

Trey Gerrald:

but together we are.

Voiceover:

The Review Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

That's right.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, 'I

Trey Gerrald:

just turned it into an old Southern

Chelsey Donn:

liked it.

Trey Gerrald:

uh oh.

Trey Gerrald:

ChelseyBD, it's your week for getting stuff off your chest.

Trey Gerrald:

Are, are you ready to just let an exhale out and

Voiceover:

A' complaints.

Chelsey Donn:

'I Am.

Chelsey Donn:

Try 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Have another real time Complaint that has me very heated you guys.

Chelsey Donn:

First of all, I'm just gonna begin with targeted reviews, okay?

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Clearly 'I get all the weight loss targeted reviews.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I probably got about not even exaggerating, 'I think two A' hundred

Chelsey Donn:

So.

Chelsey Donn:

'I finally was like, you know what?

Chelsey Donn:

'I need to do some more cardio.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think it was actually Memorial Day when 'I bought it.

Chelsey Donn:

It was on sale.

Chelsey Donn:

'I went ahead and did it.

Trey Gerrald:

Where are you getting the ads?

Chelsey Donn:

Instagram mostly, but also Facebook.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm not on Facebook as much, so mostly Instagram.

Chelsey Donn:

All right.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm at work and 'I get A' text message from A' company called Piggy Ship with like no information

Chelsey Donn:

But they just text me and they're like, Hey, piggy ship is having trouble delivering your item.

Chelsey Donn:

Here's like, A' link to the tracking and here's the phone number for the driver so

Chelsey Donn:

'I googled it to make sure it wasn't like spam.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I call the, the guy and he is like, oh, sorry, like, you're not A', part of my deliveries.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I was like, well that's weird because they gave me your phone number.

Chelsey Donn:

And he is like, yeah, um, I'll try and call the company for you.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't know why they did that, but yeah, no, 'I don't have your delivery.

Chelsey Donn:

So then 'I realized that the piggy ship is the Infinity hoop and 'I messaged the Infinity Hoop

Chelsey Donn:

It was the original tracking from, from China, like in whatever service they used.

Chelsey Donn:

So it wasn't telling me where it was, it wasn't like it, it was returned

Chelsey Donn:

'I had no way of knowing where is it, even how 'I wanna pick it up by myself.

Chelsey Donn:

Nobody's communicating with me.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I kept reaching out to Infinity Hoop, and they kept being like, well, it's A' problem with your

Chelsey Donn:

And then they provided me with A' tracking number that was incorrect.

Chelsey Donn:

And then 'I kept messaging them back and forth and they still have not dealt with this issue.

Chelsey Donn:

'I still have paid for A' product that 'I have not received.

Chelsey Donn:

It's been like, Over A' month.

Chelsey Donn:

At this point, still no product.

Chelsey Donn:

And now 'I have to call my credit card company and dispute the charge all because 'I was

Chelsey Donn:

And then when the product isn't delivered, you're gonna somehow make

Chelsey Donn:

Where in the world is Carbon San Diego going?

Chelsey Donn:

Where the hell this product is?

Chelsey Donn:

It's ridiculous.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm so mad.

Chelsey Donn:

'I even went.

Chelsey Donn:

The tactic of writing them like A' heartfelt email 'I was just like, you know, 'I was

Chelsey Donn:

'I had seen it advertised A' lot.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm trying to lose weight, trying to improve my cardiovascular health.

Chelsey Donn:

'I really needed this product and 'I feel like it's really wrong that you're

Chelsey Donn:

And I've tried everything that 'I can do to get this product.

Chelsey Donn:

And the bottom line is, regardless of whether or not it's the shipping company

Chelsey Donn:

People that take advantage of A' vulnerable community, and they were just

Chelsey Donn:

I'm like, yeah, that's my correct address.

Chelsey Donn:

And then they started over again with A', like, maybe we should send A' to your post office.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm like, I've had thousands of deliveries to my house.

Chelsey Donn:

It's ridiculous.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm over it.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm mad.

Trey Gerrald:

'I, hear the Complaint there.

Trey Gerrald:

There's A' lot in this Also, 'I am Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

If this is A' wellness product, how fucking dare them use A' company called Piggy Ship

Chelsey Donn:

Exactly.

Trey Gerrald:

'I am so upset

Chelsey Donn:

'I know.

Chelsey Donn:

'I know.

Chelsey Donn:

That's why 'I was like, piggy ship 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Guess it's the Infinity.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Guess it's the infinity hoop

Chelsey Donn:

' Trey Gerrald: I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't believe that that is coincidence.

Chelsey Donn:

That is shameful.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, 'I think that 'I was like Googling it kind of.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I want to say piggy ship is like A' SoCal thing.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Guess they must like

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean?

Trey Gerrald:

I've never heard of it.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Never heard of it either.

Chelsey Donn:

' Trey Gerrald: I, hear the Complaint.

Chelsey Donn:

'I agree with you because there is nothing more frustrating than feeling helpless

Chelsey Donn:

There's an expectation, there's A' window of time, and then it just doesn't show up.

Chelsey Donn:

And then you feel like you're the only one that's

Chelsey Donn:

having to like, this was like with Costco review.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like

Chelsey Donn:

I'm now responsible for correcting your error.

Chelsey Donn:

No.

Chelsey Donn:

that's, and that's how they handle it.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like so smug.

Chelsey Donn:

They're like, oh, well, sorry it happened on the local ship again.

Chelsey Donn:

So call your local post office.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm like, this is Los Angeles.

Chelsey Donn:

There's A' million local post offices.

Chelsey Donn:

'I have no idea what post office this is at.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

That's bullshit.

Chelsey Donn:

Bullshit.

Chelsey Donn:

Awful,

Trey Gerrald:

I'm sorry.

Trey Gerrald:

'I, hear the Complaint 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Hope that you get the delivery

Trey Gerrald:

right now

Chelsey Donn:

A' yy.

Trey Gerrald:

two minutes.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope so too.

Chelsey Donn:

Honestly, 'I really, really do.

Chelsey Donn:

But let's exhale 'cause that was A' lot.

Trey Gerrald:

Woo.

Trey Gerrald:

Why don't we jump onto our piggy ship

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's do it.

Chelsey Donn:

Should we jump into some online reviews?

Trey Gerrald:

Hope we do.

Trey Gerrald:

Let's go.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's do it.

Voiceover:

Review, That, Review.

Chelsey Donn:

As you know, we are your trustee.

Chelsey Donn:

Review Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected.

Trey Gerrald:

We read you A' review, then we break it down and rate the impact of that

Trey Gerrald:

This is A' very regal process that we call,

Voiceover:

That, Kvetch.

Chelsey Donn:

That's right.

Chelsey Donn:

And Trey, it is your week.

Chelsey Donn:

What have you brought in for us?

Trey Gerrald:

all right, while speaking of piggy

Trey Gerrald:

ship, piggy ship.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Without even realizing ChelseyBD, you

Trey Gerrald:

created A', beautiful symmetrical circle of love.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

What do you think of when you think of A' Piggy that is on A' ship?

Chelsey Donn:

Buffets.

Trey Gerrald:

No, A' Live Piggy that's sailing on A' ship.

Trey Gerrald:

What does that make you think of?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

Is it A' cartoon or is it A'?

Chelsey Donn:

Regular pig.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, I'm gonna go A' little outside of the box here today.

Trey Gerrald:

This

Trey Gerrald:

review is for A' Live theatrical production.

Chelsey Donn:

Of like the three little pigs.

Trey Gerrald:

What other animals are on A' ship

Chelsey Donn:

What other animals are fish?

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

you ever heard of A'?

Trey Gerrald:

Really exceedingly large boat that carried every animal in existence?

Chelsey Donn:

Like Noah's Ark.

Trey Gerrald:

dinging, dinging, ding,

Trey Gerrald:

dinging.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my god.

Chelsey Donn:

That took A' minute.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay, 'I it.

Trey Gerrald:

It seemed more smooth to me.

Trey Gerrald:

But you said piggy ship and 'I thought there's no way.

Trey Gerrald:

There

Trey Gerrald:

is no way she did this accidentally.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, so today

Trey Gerrald:

we are going to you and 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

We're gonna break down and review this one dot TripAdvisor review for the site and Sound

Trey Gerrald:

They also exist in Branson, Missouri, ChelseyBD.

Trey Gerrald:

Have you ever heard of Sight and Sound Theater?

Chelsey Donn:

Sight and sound theater, and this isn't like for people that have.

Trey Gerrald:

Hmm,

Chelsey Donn:

or sound difficulties?

Trey Gerrald:

no.

Trey Gerrald:

So sight and sound theater is.

Trey Gerrald:

No Sight and Sound Theater is A' Christian Theater Company that produces inspirational musicals with

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Now I'm seeing how this all comes together.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

They also made history.

Trey Gerrald:

They finally told A' story about A' female from the Bible, and it was Queen Esther, which is

Trey Gerrald:

But before we get into this review,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I want to share this amazing trailer for the specific

Trey Gerrald:

So this review is under Sight and Sound Theater in Pennsylvania,

Trey Gerrald:

but it's referencing this production of this show that is called Noah.

Trey Gerrald:

So just for A', little bit of background.

Trey Gerrald:

Anyone watching everyone on our Patreon,

Trey Gerrald:

'I 'I, think it's just better to watch it up front and then we'll be objective about the review.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, fine.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay, here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

We're gonna watch it together.

Trey Gerrald:

Piggy ship.

Trey Gerrald:

Can you see the screen?

Chelsey Donn:

Uhhuh.

Trey Gerrald:

Lemme make it full.

Trey Gerrald:

Screen

Chelsey Donn:

This is, looks like it's like high production value.

Chelsey Donn:

Try.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean if there's anyone in the world that has money,

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

It looks like the, like M G M, like

Trey Gerrald:

It looks like the beginning of Disney, right?

Chelsey Donn:

yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Disney.

Trey Gerrald:

here we go.

Voiceover:

Coming to Sight and Sound Theaters in Branson, Missouri.

Voiceover:

The landmark production returns, Noah.

Voiceover:

Oh it, it is you, the Lord God, Jehovah has spoken to me.

Voiceover:

He said all creation has

Chelsey Donn:

There's A' Live horse on

Voiceover:

refuses to turn from his wicked ways.

Voiceover:

'I will cover the earth

Chelsey Donn:

There's Lor rain.

Voiceover:

A', flood.

Voiceover:

Noah, you must build an arc.

Voiceover:

Come on board for one of the world's best known voyages.

Voiceover:

You must bring two of every animal, bird, and reptile in this extraordinary Bible story

Voiceover:

Lord, thank you.

Voiceover:

'I Couldn't have done any of this without you.

Voiceover:

Noah live on stage at Sight and Sound Theaters in Branson, Missouri.

Voiceover:

Returning March, 2020 for one season

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

'I can't!.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm like shocked at how high the production quality of that was.

Chelsey Donn:

Like.

Chelsey Donn:

That was like even nicer than A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Lot of Broadway.

Chelsey Donn:

There was A' live horse on stage.

Chelsey Donn:

The lighting was like insane.

Chelsey Donn:

We had rain at one point.

Chelsey Donn:

The voice of God, the costumes looked like insane.

Chelsey Donn:

That was like, like 'I would, if 'I didn't know that it was, you know, A' Christian

Trey Gerrald:

let me just go ahead since we're in this conversation.

Trey Gerrald:

Now, let me, this is the outside of the theater.

Trey Gerrald:

This is in

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Holy crap guys.

Chelsey Donn:

It is A' beautiful theater space.

Chelsey Donn:

' Trey Gerrald: I mean it's ginormous, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Wonder if we can see the, uh, seeding chart

Chelsey Donn:

It's like A' huge.

Chelsey Donn:

Like A', huge house.

Chelsey Donn:

And in that video at least it was like A' full house.

Trey Gerrald:

they are famous

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

There's an elephant on stage now.

Chelsey Donn:

This is insane.

Chelsey Donn:

You guys.

Chelsey Donn:

And do they only do Christian thing?

Chelsey Donn:

Like will they do like Aladdin or they're only doing Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Bible stories.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I know of Sight and Sound Theater because my college 'I went to school

Trey Gerrald:

they were notorious for the very first question they would ask you if they called you

Chelsey Donn:

Crazy.

Chelsey Donn:

And if you said no, if you're like, I'm A' Jew, they're like, all right, next.

Trey Gerrald:

know.

Trey Gerrald:

'cause 'I didn't know Jews in college, but,

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, fair enough.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

and notoriously like when you are hired by the company, you attend

Trey Gerrald:

You say prayers before all the performances

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's A' real.

Trey Gerrald:

organization.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

So

Chelsey Donn:

And this is A'.

Chelsey Donn:

This is A' one.review.

Trey Gerrald:

read this one.review.

Trey Gerrald:

And this is for Noah.

Trey Gerrald:

So here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

This is written by Bama, Steve.

Chelsey Donn:

Bama.

Trey Gerrald:

They have 82 contributions on TripAdvisor,

Trey Gerrald:

and this was written on June 5th, 2010.

Trey Gerrald:

So the trailer we just watched was 10 years later.

Chelsey Donn:

10 years after Bama wrote this review.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

So here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

The subject for Sight and Sound Theaters written by Bama.

Trey Gerrald:

Steve one review is 'I, so wanted to like Noah, but it was flat for me.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

'I so wanted to like this show as we walked into the theater.

Trey Gerrald:

It was impressive.

Trey Gerrald:

Very large stage and state of the art sound system.

Trey Gerrald:

Many of the reviews were great.

Trey Gerrald:

at the price of the tickets, 'I was expecting something of the quality 'I

Trey Gerrald:

'I was disappointed, as said in previous reviews.

Trey Gerrald:

The animals were the most exciting part of the show.

Trey Gerrald:

The arc and most of the props were also impressive.

Trey Gerrald:

The obviously fake beards and wigs.

Trey Gerrald:

The thatched English style village buildings, parentheses wasn't Noah in the Middle East Three

Trey Gerrald:

The plot line could have been much more interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

'I never felt that any of the lead characters were well developed.

Trey Gerrald:

Or drew the audience into the story.

Trey Gerrald:

The acting was pretty bad.

Trey Gerrald:

Lots of overacting over emotion, yelling, moaning.

Trey Gerrald:

That was never quite believable to me.

Trey Gerrald:

The evil rulers acting reminded me of A' Bad Children's Theater with the Evil Laugh.

Trey Gerrald:

This is Mellow Drama Theater.

Trey Gerrald:

Even though this is sold as A' musical, there is much more talk than singing.

Trey Gerrald:

Most of it is quote unquote preachy

Trey Gerrald:

Without being really artistic or beautiful, this wonderful biblical story could have been told

Trey Gerrald:

The songs don't have much of A' medley to them, and none of the solos were very memorable

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

My wife didn't care for the extra stuff added to the story.

Trey Gerrald:

Da da.

Trey Gerrald:

Things that

Trey Gerrald:

are,

Trey Gerrald:

within the realm of the possible but aren't in the original biblical story,

Trey Gerrald:

eg.

Trey Gerrald:

The crowds trying to burn down the arc while it is under construction.

Trey Gerrald:

My kids didn't like the part of the show where Noah's kids had been on the Arc for A'

Chelsey Donn:

Oh God.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, please stop arguing, yelling and seeing.

Trey Gerrald:

Yelling about having to feed the animals 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Just wanna leave this theater by now for exclamation marks.

Trey Gerrald:

'I just saw the miracle 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Pigeon Forge two weeks before this and found the miracles Christian message presented in A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Much more artistic, poetic, and beautiful fashion with exceptional acting choreography

Trey Gerrald:

Noah didn't touch me in the same way and left me feeling 'I had just paid A' hundred and $50 to see

Trey Gerrald:

In all fairness, there were many around me after the show who commented

Trey Gerrald:

So some of you may like it, but if you are used to seeing professional plays with deep storylines

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't think you're gonna like this one,

Chelsey Donn:

Wow, interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

'I feel like 'I went on A' rollercoaster with how 'I felt about

Trey Gerrald:

right?

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

know exactly where the twist went.

Trey Gerrald:

'cause if it occurs to me,

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, 'I don't know, but 'I just feel like in the beginning, 'I was

Chelsey Donn:

So the fact that Bama.

Chelsey Donn:

Started there and was like, 'I was super impressed with everything that 'I was seeing.

Chelsey Donn:

Like the sets were great, the whatever, like all, all these elements that when 'I was watching the

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I was like, okay, bam.

Chelsey Donn:

Us off to A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Really good start.

Chelsey Donn:

'cause they're not A', total curmudgeon that's just gonna complain about everything.

Chelsey Donn:

The switch for me happened, oh, first of all, the moaning, l o l.

Chelsey Donn:

But the switch for me happened around just like, again, maybe this is my bias or my

Chelsey Donn:

Like if they were just so religious that any kind of departure from the norm was really throwing

Chelsey Donn:

That was like kind of where 'I sort of got off the train.

Chelsey Donn:

A' little bit.

Chelsey Donn:

What about you?

Trey Gerrald:

Well, it's an interesting, that's an interesting point of the review

Trey Gerrald:

How do you make that A' $150 ticket price Story 'I mean you probably will have to take

Trey Gerrald:

Otherwise

Chelsey Donn:

And to add drama, to add elements of

Trey Gerrald:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

And if you're like hiring people to play Noah's children, like you want to maybe give them

Trey Gerrald:

A' storyline.

Trey Gerrald:

Right,

Trey Gerrald:

exactly.

Trey Gerrald:

'I think for me, 'I was sort of buying, regardless of how Bama feels about Christian theater,

Trey Gerrald:

until they start really pumping up the competitor

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, well that,

Chelsey Donn:

' Trey Gerrald: I.

Chelsey Donn:

Mean 'I really sort of thought, oh, did you write the score for the Miracle over at

Chelsey Donn:

1000%.

Chelsey Donn:

'I wrote that down.

Chelsey Donn:

So that was my second point.

Chelsey Donn:

So like first when they were saying just about the acting being bad, 'I was like, 'I kind of can't!

Chelsey Donn:

believe that.

Chelsey Donn:

Right?

Chelsey Donn:

Like especially if they're demographic like you shared, is so specific.

Chelsey Donn:

Like not only you know, are you A' talented actor, but you also have to be Christian.

Chelsey Donn:

You also have to be Christian enough to wanna be in A' show like this.

Chelsey Donn:

'I can see how maybe we're not getting the highest caliber.

Chelsey Donn:

Talent.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I was totally believing them at that point.

Chelsey Donn:

Sort of starting to get A' little suss around, okay, are we A' little bit more religious?

Chelsey Donn:

Are we A' Little bit more strict about the way we're interpreting the Bible?

Chelsey Donn:

But then, yeah, when we got into that whole section about the miracle, you

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

even if Bama is not the artistic director of that show, they might be involved.

Trey Gerrald:

Well 'I, that obviously occurs to me, but if 'I wanna be devil's

Trey Gerrald:

If you are someone who is seeking out Christian based entertainment storytelling for your

Trey Gerrald:

than if you were looking for like Marvel entertainment

Trey Gerrald:

or like, you know, so it is possible that you would've also seen this Christian

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean like, sure.

Chelsey Donn:

That's totally right.

Chelsey Donn:

If you're somebody that's really only, you're gonna be only listening to Christian

Chelsey Donn:

But then also 'I feel like you probably have.

Chelsey Donn:

Ties to those places because of the communities that you're running into.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I don't know that the two are mutually exclusive 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Guess that's where I'm like, maybe 'I don't know 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm not A' hundred percent saying that they definitely know somebody at the other theater.

Chelsey Donn:

But 'I think that the passion with which, and the placement where they put like 'I, the

Chelsey Donn:

But then we did sort of win it back when we ended with the bottom bun of the sandwich.

Chelsey Donn:

We said some of you might like it, right?

Chelsey Donn:

Wasn't my bag.

Chelsey Donn:

For some of you.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe the fact there are animals on stage, whatever, like that might be enough for you.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I thought that that was A' Christian, uh, way of wrapping up A' one.review.

Trey Gerrald:

Well 'I find Bama Steve to be really per com to be very complex

Trey Gerrald:

as A' character on the page because they spend A' lot of real estate pointing

Trey Gerrald:

versus Noah being Middle East, Eastern.

Trey Gerrald:

Also, they like have A' proficiency and Broadway material and hilarious l o l that they say 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Off-Broadway touring company.

Trey Gerrald:

Like those are like three different things.

Trey Gerrald:

An off-Broadway show, A' touring company, like an Off-Broadway show is

Trey Gerrald:

And, but 'I thought this would be interesting for our show because I'm

Trey Gerrald:

curious to sort of dissect, are there different expectations for A' Broadway

Trey Gerrald:

Like, are you gonna be critical that they're wearing fake beards?

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

'I do think that they purport themselves to be at that level.

Chelsey Donn:

So yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Then it really.

Chelsey Donn:

Does need to be uniform throughout.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, why are you gonna have animals on stage and then have shitty beards

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't know about the comment of like the town because again, 'I think we're dealing with someone

Trey Gerrald:

Well,

Trey Gerrald:

' Chelsey Donn: I don't even

Trey Gerrald:

That was my next thing is like if you're looking for that much accuracy,

Trey Gerrald:

then Noah would be Middle Eastern.

Trey Gerrald:

They wouldn't be A' white person.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

Like if you're that

Chelsey Donn:

in their Bible, they probably would, in their Bible,

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean

Chelsey Donn:

they'd be like, he's Middle Eastern, but he's still white.

Trey Gerrald:

What do you think about the like children's theater, evil, laugh, melodrama.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean, looking at that set, it looks

Trey Gerrald:

like A' melodrama.

Trey Gerrald:

To me it is so expansive.

Trey Gerrald:

It is so lush.

Trey Gerrald:

It's so huge.

Trey Gerrald:

Like for the storytelling to be melodrama, 'I don't feel like that's incongruent.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, 'I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

'I think it's so hard with any of these reviews to really know, because we've said it

Chelsey Donn:

So someone could go and see something and be like, the acting was terrible.

Chelsey Donn:

And then someone else could see it and be like, the acting was great.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I do think that Bama left some room for that.

Chelsey Donn:

Like they were like, there were people around us that were like, oh, this is great.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, 'I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

Do 'I Trust Bama more than the average?

Chelsey Donn:

Joe Donn don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

What do you, what do you think about the kids being like, father 'I hated

Chelsey Donn:

Why would they display siblings fighting that's so wrong?

Chelsey Donn:

Like 'I know 'I made the British, but like, what the hell?

Trey Gerrald:

Bama, Steve mentions their wife, my head cocked because 'I 'I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Maybe I'm just A' gay person that thinks the world is gay.

Trey Gerrald:

And then

Trey Gerrald:

when they talk about their kids 'I think, oh, my 'I mean.

Trey Gerrald:

It all just felt like, wait, what?

Trey Gerrald:

You need conflict.

Trey Gerrald:

Like it's just interesting 'cause Bama, Steve is really nitpicking what is being

Trey Gerrald:

'I want to just believe that they're saying 'I much preferred this other offering,

Trey Gerrald:

But something about it like you're complaining that they're wearing the

Trey Gerrald:

But Donn don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm someone who 'I 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't need to spend A' lot of time here.

Trey Gerrald:

But famously 'I did see A' Tony winning performance in the second row and could not enjoy

Trey Gerrald:

very clear.

Trey Gerrald:

It was the actor, not the production.

Trey Gerrald:

That 'I missed the entire performance.

Trey Gerrald:

So

Trey Gerrald:

I'm obviously.

Chelsey Donn:

on the

Trey Gerrald:

I'm obviously much more like Bama Steve than 'I perhaps want

Trey Gerrald:

to admit, but 'I

Trey Gerrald:

mean 'I, don't

Chelsey Donn:

Let's break down the value here.

Chelsey Donn:

'cause 'I do think that there are pieces of value within this review.

Chelsey Donn:

We know that it's A' hundred $50, so that's what I'm gonna

Trey Gerrald:

And that people around you enjoyed it.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, it might be not at the caliber that their promotion, that the grandiose nature

Chelsey Donn:

'I kind of think that 'I appreciate that.

Chelsey Donn:

Warning 'I always like that.

Chelsey Donn:

Like 'I always like whenever there's anything that is super popular 'I like when people

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

This objective mind, whatever you wanna call it.

Chelsey Donn:

Like this could go either way.

Chelsey Donn:

'I am not counting on this being A' Home Run, and I'm not counting on it being A' train wreck.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I get that.

Trey Gerrald:

It is like A' discerning look, which 'I think is interesting.

Trey Gerrald:

And to say that the best quality in the show was the live animals, 'I mean That's scathing.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I do.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, again, we have to consider the audience of people that are going to

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe there are gonna be other people that are Bama Steves who are gonna

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, they took liberties with the sets.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't want to see that.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Noah was not standing around singing in real life.

Trey Gerrald:

Like none of it's accurate.

Trey Gerrald:

It's

Chelsey Donn:

But it's Right, right.

Chelsey Donn:

What do we think about the fact that we're calling this A' musical and we're

Chelsey Donn:

Expect A', lot of talking and some screaming Sing, yelling,

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean 'I Don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Like what is the actual definition of A' play with music versus A' musical?

Trey Gerrald:

Like do you

Trey Gerrald:

have to have A', certain number of songs?

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't

Trey Gerrald:

know.

Chelsey Donn:

don't know either.

Chelsey Donn:

Interesting, 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

is like beautiful and perfect.

Chelsey Donn:

Do we think that Bama Steve is like A' pastor or something?

Chelsey Donn:

At very least

Trey Gerrald:

we think Bama, Steve wanted to be A' performer.

Trey Gerrald:

Do we think they're A' Musical composer?

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean they, they have A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Lot

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think Bama.

Chelsey Donn:

Steve definitely has maybe some suppressed artistic dreams.

Chelsey Donn:

'I kind of feel like Bama.

Chelsey Donn:

Steve and his wife homeschool.

Chelsey Donn:

The kids now 'I don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

Making A' leap there,

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think that too

Trey Gerrald:

on this conversation.

Trey Gerrald:

'I, think the truthful, shady commonality sort of thing.

Trey Gerrald:

If 'I am spending A' hundred $50 A' ticket, and I'm bringing my

Trey Gerrald:

family, A' four, and 'I can see they have live animals.

Trey Gerrald:

This is A' ginormous, 'I

Trey Gerrald:

immersive, like over the top

Trey Gerrald:

spectacle.

Chelsey Donn:

experience.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Hire people with beards.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean like it is sort of absurd.

Trey Gerrald:

Like if the beard work and the wig work takes you that much out, but they're

Trey Gerrald:

actually walking live elephants on the stage, that's A' huge glaring issue like 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Get

Trey Gerrald:

the point there.

Trey Gerrald:

That's A' mighty price for you to have wigs from amazon.com.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Were we humored at all?

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean intentionally.

Chelsey Donn:

'I, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean I'm 'I was entertained enough, but 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know if it was intentional,

Trey Gerrald:

the quarreling,

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

The quarreling between the children on the

Trey Gerrald:

that's why you made them British.

Trey Gerrald:

The word

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, maybe, yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

'I just felt like, yeah, 'I just felt like there was something so buttoned up about Bama.

Trey Gerrald:

buttoned up.

Trey Gerrald:

But there's also like, I'm not sure about the trustworthiness.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't know, right.

Chelsey Donn:

'I kind of feel like we're dealing within an ecosystem where like if you are A'

Chelsey Donn:

And if you're not like us 'I, think we're really questioning A' lot.

Trey Gerrald:

But 'I also feel like 'I have experienced BAA's frustrations at

Trey Gerrald:

Broadway shows.

Chelsey Donn:

Sure.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

With the rings.

Trey Gerrald:

And many other experiences.

Trey Gerrald:

It's very hard for me to enjoy live

Chelsey Donn:

'I get that.

Chelsey Donn:

'I get that.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I think that that's, that's where like if you're that kind of person again,

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Also, before we go into Crowning Bama ends with A' sentence that says, Noah didn't touch

Trey Gerrald:

And that left me with A' feeling that 'I had just spent A' lot of money on A' childish amateur

Trey Gerrald:

show with an expensive set

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Get

Trey Gerrald:

that.

Trey Gerrald:

sort of resonates for me.

Trey Gerrald:

Let's, let's crown them.

Trey Gerrald:

So ChelseyBD.

Trey Gerrald:

and 'I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards.

Trey Gerrald:

And in an effort to be fair and not influenced by one another's, outrageous, extravagant sets,

Voiceover:

Queens are Tabulating

Voiceover:

to school.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, I'm holding up three crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey is holding up four crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

'I went with three because 'I just don't know that this is gonna be.

Chelsey Donn:

Everyone's experience.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm left not knowing if A' A', A' is A', hundred percent A' reliable narrator, or

Chelsey Donn:

To look outside of the box of this one theater space that they really love.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I don't know if it's that or if there's really A' larger warning here that merits

Chelsey Donn:

So that was why 'I went with Three Crowns.

Chelsey Donn:

'cause 'I do think there's information here, but 'I think it's specific

Chelsey Donn:

Why four?

Trey Gerrald:

'I said four because it 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Appreciate Bama.

Trey Gerrald:

Steve is able to be discerning about A' very, uh, compassion outwardly, you know, 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, driven community, sort of pick apart things that even if 'I have A', different

Trey Gerrald:

'I, appreciate Bama.

Trey Gerrald:

Steve wanted to sort of offer A' little bit of A' warning rather than just being like, it was great.

Trey Gerrald:

They looked like they were having fun up there.

Trey Gerrald:

Like,

Trey Gerrald:

you know, but 'I also wanna say that A', lot of what Bama offers is just innately my expectation.

Trey Gerrald:

'I, were gonna go see A' Christian themed musical by an organization that only tells stories that

Trey Gerrald:

So,

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Love

Trey Gerrald:

but yeah, 'I couldn't do Review Queen because 'I feel like 'I can't tell.

Trey Gerrald:

If 'I can totally trust the ethics behind leaving the review.

Chelsey Donn:

Mm-hmm.

Trey Gerrald:

if 'I were to go and see the show, 'I would consider, oh, like maybe because they

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

you know, Donn don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm just really perplexed.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm really intrigued.

Trey Gerrald:

This whole existence of this ecosystem is so convoluted for me that 'I appreciate you

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't know 'I just never heard of Sight and Sound Theater before, like

Chelsey Donn:

'I did, but I'm sort of enamored by the fact that you actually auditioned for this company,

Trey Gerrald:

Well, 'I, you know, when you go to

Trey Gerrald:

these colleges, you audition,

Chelsey Donn:

For everything at once.

Chelsey Donn:

Straw hat 'I did.

Chelsey Donn:

'I did straw hat.

Trey Gerrald:

And the N E T C, the

Trey Gerrald:

Northeastern Theater

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

So it was one of those, it was one of those where you're like auditioning for everything

Trey Gerrald:

There's like 90 companies in in

Chelsey Donn:

And then you get called back by like five.

Trey Gerrald:

That's what 'I did, right?

Trey Gerrald:

And sight and Sound was always there, and they never called me back.

Chelsey Donn:

Um, those

Trey Gerrald:

But 'I do know someone who was hired and did two contracts with Sight and

Chelsey Donn:

in the after

Trey Gerrald:

that was A', homosexual male that, uh, that actually went and worked there.

Trey Gerrald:

And we can talk about that on the after show.

Chelsey Donn:

oh, 'I would love to talk about that.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, Queen Esther, we have done it.

Trey Gerrald:

We have

Trey Gerrald:

reached the most regal portion of our show.

Trey Gerrald:

ChelseyBD, who are you inducting today for?

Voiceover:

My Royal line is,

Chelsey Donn:

So today 'I am bringing in A' very special inductee.

Chelsey Donn:

His name is John Essel.

Chelsey Donn:

Is A' magician who performs tricks for shelter dogs

Trey Gerrald:

Oh,

Chelsey Donn:

so that their enthusiastic reactions get them adopted.

Chelsey Donn:

Isn't that so cool?

Chelsey Donn:

So John Cecil normally performs his A-List Magic show to adoring fans and celebrities.

Chelsey Donn:

Cecil routinely performs now for shelter dogs at the St.

Chelsey Donn:

Hubert's.

Chelsey Donn:

Animal welfare center Center in.

Chelsey Donn:

New Jersey where their adorable reactions help to get them adopted.

Chelsey Donn:

Reactions to magic?

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Dogs are smart and making treats and toys disappear before their eyes evidently

Chelsey Donn:

To find out this secret, one of my small little.

Chelsey Donn:

Superpowers, John says is 'I can just help dogs show off in A' way that they couldn't without me.

Chelsey Donn:

And typically in the videos, the dogs just go nuts and they have all these

Chelsey Donn:

So in addition to the fact that Cecil's, obviously A' Queen, just for even thinking that

Chelsey Donn:

So, They have to take four to five like Benadryl throughout the duration of these

Chelsey Donn:

And most of the dogs from these videos have gone on to find permanent homes and loving

Trey Gerrald:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you, John Cecil.

Chelsey Donn:

For magically being such A' Queen and helping these animals find loving homes.

Chelsey Donn:

What?

Chelsey Donn:

A' mitzvah.

Chelsey Donn:

You're such A' mensch, and I'm happy to induct you as our Royal Highness.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my gosh.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Gotta find out what shelter this is.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Well now you're gonna adopt.

Chelsey Donn:

Adopt another dog.

Trey Gerrald:

'I can't, but 'I, 'I, 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't know if it's John

Trey Gerrald:

necessarily, but 'I have seen, like there are trends on TikTok and Instagram of

Chelsey Donn:

Dogs reacting.

Trey Gerrald:

and it is just the best 'cause they're, they're so uninhibited and so they're

Chelsey Donn:

Exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

Like what?

Chelsey Donn:

Where'd that go?

Trey Gerrald:

Oh my God, 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Love that.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, well I'm definitely looking up John.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm gonna add them on Instagram

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Love that.

Trey Gerrald:

Good induction.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Trey Gerrald:

We did A' Queen.

Trey Gerrald:

That is another round on the R ru A' R Q wearing A' wig Ferris wheel.
