Speaker A

It's around the house.

Speaker B

Clyde Lewis.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Most of the time when you're dealing with ghostly phenomena, a lot of people don't know what they're looking for.

Clyde Lewis

You know, they're expecting to see something like you'd see in a movie.

Clyde Lewis

You know, it's like, you know, you're not going to be seeing like what they saw in ghost, you know.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Patrick Swayze is not going to come out, make love to you while you're doing pottery.

Clyde Lewis

That should happen.

Speaker A

It does.

Speaker A

That'd be a weird little movie scene there, but.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah, that's not being haunted by Patrick.

Clyde Lewis

Patrick Swayze.

Clyde Lewis

Roadhouse.

Speaker A

It's its own awning.

Speaker B

The next generation of home improvement.

Speaker B

This is hour two of our Halloween.

Speaker A

Special that we did with Clyde Lewis.

Speaker B

Now this is one from years ago, but it was so crazy and off the hook.

Speaker B

I thought it's been a number of years since we played it.

Speaker B

So we're going to have a Halloween special.

Speaker B

This episode is brought to you by our friends at Monument Grills.

Speaker B

To find out more, head to monumentgrills.com now let's get back to this wild Halloween conversation with Clyde Lewis.

Speaker A

I'll stick you back on hold.

Speaker A

Maybe we can get you back there.

Speaker A

Let's run out here to Tara and Eugene.

Speaker A

Welcome to around the house.

D

Hey, thanks for having me.

Speaker A

Thanks.

Speaker A

Thanks for waiting.

Speaker A

What can we help you with today?

D

Actually, I agree with a lot of your points and it's good to hear because a lot of people don't, you know, they don't believe kind of like how we do.

D

And I do a lot of clearings and I've been involved with a paranormal for 20 years and I wanted to ask you about dimensions, different dimensions, because I'd never seen any or dealt with it until the last two years.

D

And I've seen some really creepy things.

D

So I'm wondering if you've ever had the experience and seen some of the things that come out of the black holes that we see when we do clearing sometimes.

Clyde Lewis

You know, it's funny because there's new Science out now and like I said, allows us getting beyond the snicker factor that a lot of scientists used to give.

Clyde Lewis

Scientists now are saying that not only are we dealing with, you know, we may not even be dealing with the hereafter when we're dealing with ghosts, we're dealing with dimensional beings.

Clyde Lewis

And that what we're looking at is we're looking at an overlapping universe where we have multiverse, overlapping, overlapping, overlapping.

Clyde Lewis

We have something, we're on something called the brain.

Clyde Lewis

It's the membrane, they call it the brain.

Clyde Lewis

It's kind of a confusing thing to call it.

Clyde Lewis

What they're saying is there's some sort of a constructed matrix called the brain that we're on and that we're in.

Clyde Lewis

But beyond the brain there are other things going on.

Clyde Lewis

There's like different dimensions.

Clyde Lewis

Then from those there are different veins and different dimensions and different brains and different dimensions.

Clyde Lewis

Well, it's something called quantum immortality.

Clyde Lewis

And the idea that what it is, it's like you for one saying, Eric, you're like, you're like a TV set set, I'm like a TV set, Dane's like a TV set.

Clyde Lewis

So we're all like a TV set and we all have a broadcast that we have that's different, but it's all basically from one source.

Clyde Lewis

When our bodies run out of steam and we fall apart, that broadcast still goes, but there's nothing to pick it up.

Clyde Lewis

Actually somewhere a body happens and you're picked up.

Clyde Lewis

So it's just the idea that the essence and the intelligence and the consciousness is in some parallel universe somewhere.

Clyde Lewis

And you could also have a double or a doppelganger in a parallel universe somewhere.

Clyde Lewis

So even people who are alive can haunt a place, believe it or not.

Clyde Lewis

Oh, wow.

D

I haven't heard that before.

D

Oh yeah, it's pretty crazy creepy things.

Clyde Lewis

It's called separatism.

Clyde Lewis

I think it's called something like pan separatism or something.

Clyde Lewis

It's the idea that you can be at two places at once and people who have out of body experiences are in two places at once usually.

Clyde Lewis

So it's just the idea that you can travel through the dimensions because there are different time dimensions that are overlapping.

Clyde Lewis

It's like we're a stack of baloney with every single dimension overlapping.

E

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

So every once in a while, for example, if you're for example going on a ghost hunt and you happen to see a full on apparition, chances are they're seeing you and you're a ghost to them.

Speaker A

Oh, oh, okay.

Clyde Lewis

I talk to A lot of ghosts.

D

And they tell me, what are you doing in my house?

D

You know, And I'm like, this is in your house?

D

It's a barn.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

And that's the thing, is that they are in another dimension, thinking that they're in a house.

Clyde Lewis

When you're in a barn and you're looking at them and they're seeing you as a ghost, they're wondering, who the hell are you?

Clyde Lewis

What are you doing there?

Clyde Lewis

So, yeah, it's the idea that there have been encounters where people can't explain the fact that they've seen people who have looked at them and said, well, who are you and why you're here?

Clyde Lewis

It's because of the fact that you're in a dimensional situation.

D

We act or project sometimes when we do clearings.

D

And that's how I saw my first, I guess, black hole.

D

And it's.

D

It's very odd because it's the whole.

D

The whole area changes.

D

So it doesn't look like the house we're in.

D

It looks like something completely different.

Clyde Lewis

Yes.

D

So it makes me wonder if we're seeing it in their view.

Clyde Lewis

Well, we're also living in times, believe it or not, we're also living in times where, I mean, you can look up and look this up.

Clyde Lewis

Jordy Rose was the founder of Kindred, the founder of the D Wave computer.

Clyde Lewis

He did it.

Clyde Lewis

He spoke in Vancouver, British Columbia, and he said, with the power of the D Wave computer, with the power of the Kindred computer, all the computers we use at cern, we are capable now of opening up portals and allowing things to come through.

D

Right.

D

Yeah, I've seen people do that.

D

And actually, I've had spirits tell me that they can open up portals.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

It's just.

Clyde Lewis

Once again, it's back to the old quantum paranormal, the quantum immortality.

Clyde Lewis

It exists.

Clyde Lewis

Science is just grasping onto it, and it's gonna be a while before it sets in because a lot of people are still doing the same old hocus pocus.

Clyde Lewis

And that works too.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, don't get me wrong.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, conjuring and workings and all those things have been well documented, from Jack Parsons to John Dee to Eric, Ed Kelly and all these other Aleister Crowley.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, these are all those who have written about this stuff.

Clyde Lewis

They can open up what they call windows or stairways to heaven or.

D

And it's a lot harder to close them.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah, it's hard.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Once you open them, you gotta learn how to close them.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, the perfect example of this is when L.

Clyde Lewis

Ron Hubbard and Jack Parsons went out in the desert one time and did some sort of a magic ritual called the Babylon working.

Clyde Lewis

Something came through and they didn't even cl.

Clyde Lewis

They were too scared.

Clyde Lewis

They didn't even close the portal.

Clyde Lewis

So whatever they brought in, you know, we don't know what it was.

Clyde Lewis

We think it may be aliens or something, but they brought in something that was just bizarre.

Clyde Lewis

But everything I'm talking about is.

Clyde Lewis

Is true.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, this stuff.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, Jack Parsons.

Clyde Lewis

There was actually a show on cbs, something called Something Angel.

Clyde Lewis

I can't remember what it was.

Clyde Lewis

It was about him.

Clyde Lewis

And so they named a peak after him on the moon.

Clyde Lewis

He was a.

Clyde Lewis

He was a rocket scientist, but he actually practiced black thalemic witchcraft.

Clyde Lewis

So.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah, wild.

Speaker B

Hey Tara, thanks for calling in.

Speaker A

We appreciate you listening too.

Speaker A

Yeah, thanks for calling into around the House.

Speaker A

Let's run out here real quick to boy.

Speaker A

Trish in Vancouver has been patiently waiting.

Speaker A

Welcome to around the House.

F

Thank you.

F

I appreciate you taking my calls.

Speaker A

No problem.

Speaker B

What can we help you with today?

F

I just want to tell you about an experience I had probably 15 years ago.

F

I moved next door to my sister's house to be close to my nephew and two little nieces while they were very young.

F

And from the first night I moved next door to them to take care of an old lady with dementia.

F

I went to go to sleep and I heard ting, ting, ting on.

F

It sounded like porcelain, like you didn't brush your teeth.

F

And there was only me and the old lady in the house.

F

And I could see her from my bed to her bed across the hall.

F

And I told my sister about it and on the phone just next door, all these conversations were extremely, like muffled and hard to hear.

F

And I said, please just don't tell mom and dad because I don't want them to think I'm a weirdo.

F

But there's weird stuff happening here.

F

It started right away.

F

And one of the other things that happened there was.

F

I heard.

F

I was watching tv and just to the right of me there wasn't a room.

F

I was on the second floor.

F

But it sounded like a couple having sex.

F

The woman, you could just hear her moaning.

F

And I mean, it was.

F

I believe it was demons.

F

I believe it was invited from the old lady I took care of because she would obsessively watch these preachings of a.

F

Of a pastor every day, the same ones over and over again.

F

And I believe she invited them.

F

And there were so many things that happened.

F

I don't know, I would pray, like in Jesus name, make this go away.

F

And it seemed like things would stop for like two weeks and then stuff would come back and, and then finally my mom came over with my little nieces and my sister for a visit and unexpectedly, boom, boom, boom, boom.

F

Like a probably 800 pound person sound like they were running up the stairs.

F

And my mom's like, somebody's here.

F

I said, no, no, there's not.

F

And I ran up the stairs to show her that no, you know, and I was so excited, like, oh, wow, they can see that I'm not crazy.

F

I'm like, mom, yeah, stuff has been happening here.

Speaker A

You've got some crazy stuff going on there.

Speaker A

We're after not to break here but I want to help you all go.

Clyde Lewis

To break it and come back.

Speaker A

Let's come back.

Speaker A

We're going to answer your questions here when we get back because I want.

Speaker B

To talk about this for just a.

Speaker A

Second when we come back.

Speaker A

So ground zero.

Speaker A

Clyde Lewis with Around the House there.

Speaker B

At G.

Speaker B

Don't change that dial.

Speaker B

We're just getting started with more from Clyde Lewis after these important messages in our Halloween special.

Speaker B

Thanks for tuning in to around the House.

Speaker A

We'll see you after the break.

G

What's up?

Speaker B

This is Sticks it in you and.

Speaker A

Satchel from Steel Panther and you are.

Speaker B

Listening to around the House with Eric G.

Speaker B

Yeah, we love Eric G.

Speaker B

And you should too.

H

1987.

H

I never want to leave you.

Speaker B

Welcome back to the around the House show, the next generation of home improvement.

Speaker B

Thanks for joining today.

Speaker B

We've got a special episode here this week for Halloween, a holiday episode where we went back and listen to and you're getting to see a re edited, remastered version that is cleaned up from Clyde Lewis that came on the show when we did this about 6 years ago live in the studio at our former headquarters over at KXL radio.

Speaker B

And that was a lot of fun.

Speaker B

Now here's one thing I wanted to talk about, whether you believe it or not, and we were going to talk about this a little bit earlier but I wanted to save it for right now.

Speaker B

You know, when you're out shopping for homes, whether you believe this or not and you're worried about what happens if I'm buying a house that is haunted.

Speaker B

One thing to look for that you see.

Speaker B

Of course a lot of people aren't supposed to disclose that they don't have to.

Speaker B

But if you see a house that was bought and sold and bought and sold for about a year or every six months, years on end, that should be a warning sign that maybe something is going on.

Speaker A

There.

Speaker B

And because of these days, that is something that doesn't have to be disclosed in most areas.

Speaker B

If someone died there, unless there was a big crime that happened while those people were there, you're not going to see that in a disclosure that the building is haunted.

Speaker B

And take a look at the seller's history on that.

Speaker B

If you see a lot of people turning over or if you see something like that, that's a big warning sign for people out there.

Speaker B

So keep an eye on that.

Speaker B

If you see that, you know, like I said, turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.

Speaker B

And it's always great to talk to the neighbors in the neighborhood before you put an offer in.

Speaker B

Walk around, knock on the neighbor's door.

Speaker B

I've done that.

Speaker B

I've talked to the neighbors around there and go, hey, guys, what's the story here?

Speaker B

You're going to find out more about who's been in that house, what's going on, and the people next door are going to be cool to see who's moving in if you're getting ready to put an offer on it.

Speaker B

So this one's getting wild.

Speaker B

It's not going to disappoint.

Speaker B

Let's get back to the program.

Speaker A

Run back out here to Trish in Vancouver.

Speaker A

We're going to try to help her with.

Speaker A

If you're just joining us, we were talking about some stuff.

Speaker A

She was having taken care of an elderly lady.

Speaker A

Welcome back, Trish.

F

Thank you.

Clyde Lewis

All right, so we were discussing that it was the elderly lady that was causing this because there are a lot of reports of paranormal activity dealing with people who, like, you're dealing with dementia, you're dealing with other mental situations.

Clyde Lewis

A lot of things about ghosts that, especially poltergeist activity, it is actually manifested through brain trauma.

Clyde Lewis

And a lot of things are manifested through that.

Clyde Lewis

That's why when you deal with poltergeist activity, you're usually dealing with teenage girls.

Clyde Lewis

Actually, teenage boys sometimes can manifest them, but mostly teenage girls and sometimes elderly people with certain types of, like, dementia or other known brain disorders and functions.

Clyde Lewis

I remember my father, actually, when he was getting older, they put him on some sort of medication and he didn't understand why, but he said that gray men would show up at night and visit him near his bed.

Clyde Lewis

And I said, sounds like aliens.

Clyde Lewis

He said, no, no, no.

Clyde Lewis

He said, I think they're out of my mind.

Clyde Lewis

He says, they're in my mind.

Clyde Lewis

And he also said that there were three women that would accompany these grey men.

Clyde Lewis

And I thought to myself, it reminded me of the Furies you know, the witches that show up.

Clyde Lewis

And so he got off that medication, but he just said that it was very real to him and they were right there.

Clyde Lewis

He says they were tangible, touch.

Clyde Lewis

You could touch them and feel them and everything.

Clyde Lewis

So, I mean, the mind is a very powerful thing.

Clyde Lewis

It's like I was doing a whole show last night about Ouija boards, and I said, you know, when you look at.

Clyde Lewis

What do you call it?

Clyde Lewis

Ideomotor responses.

Clyde Lewis

What you do is you put your.

Clyde Lewis

You put your hands on the Ouija board, on the.

Clyde Lewis

On the planchette.

Clyde Lewis

And even though you're not guiding it, your muscles are subtly moving with the planchette.

Clyde Lewis

And so it gives this feeling.

Clyde Lewis

And so what's going on is you're transmitting.

Clyde Lewis

Something is transmitting through you into the hands.

Clyde Lewis

And so what you want to call it, you need to call it intuition, mind over matter, will, or you can even say some paranormal entity has entered into your body.

Clyde Lewis

The human body is the transmitter for paranormal activity.

Clyde Lewis

It always has been.

Clyde Lewis

It's just like some anomaly when you walk in and the house seems to have this influence or something has an influence on you.

Clyde Lewis

Sure, your body is responding to it, your mind is responding to it, and that's why it happens.

F

Well, I know I came home one day and she said, I talked to Jesus today.

F

And if you saw her face, I said, oh, okay.

Speaker I

I.

F

She looked really freaky, and I just wanted to get away from her.

F

I got away from her.

F

But one of the other major things that happened during this experience is I was trying to sleep one night, and the lower half of my body just like.

F

I don't know how fast to explain.

F

It's like unreal fast.

F

Like it.

F

A weight went boom.

F

Like it hit me.

F

Like me and my body and the bed to the floor.

F

I don't think the bed went down, but I.

Speaker I

It was fast.

F

Like, see what I can do to.

Speaker I

You if I want to.

F

Around the time that I heard those big boom, boom steps run up the stairs with my mom and sister and the kids.

Clyde Lewis

Sounds like incubus activity if you're having something sit on your bed.

Clyde Lewis

Usually the incubi, if they entered a house, they would sit on the chest of the person.

Clyde Lewis

And that, of course, has been written off by scientists as sleep paralysis.

Clyde Lewis

But the incubi and the succubi has always been this, what they used to call it in the old days, and they still do.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, there have been cases of men who have had women appear to them in their room, sitting on top of their chest Even having sex with them.

Clyde Lewis

And then you have.

Clyde Lewis

Because you're saying you're hearing sexual moans and things, and then you have theirs.

F

It was like, they're right beside me, a woman.

F

It was like.

F

It's just so clear.

F

Not even.

F

Not like, is that something.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Sounds incubating.

Clyde Lewis

It sounds very incubated succubi.

Clyde Lewis

And I don't know if there was any.

Clyde Lewis

You know, it's like, once again, poltergeist activity is brought on by, you know, when you're looking at younger people who bring on poltergeist activities because of sexual frustration.

Clyde Lewis

Seriously, it's a poltergeist arrive because of the sexual frustration.

Clyde Lewis

They have young girls, you know, going through their menstrual cycles and everything else, and it's just sort of frustration for them.

Clyde Lewis

And it happens also during menopausal periods with women and also happens when they get very old.

Clyde Lewis

And if they, if they happen to have some sort of a brain situation, it does manifest in that.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

So that's probably what you're having, some sort of.

Clyde Lewis

What would be incubi.

Clyde Lewis

Succubi activity where it was being brought on by this woman who was having dementia.

Speaker A

Thanks, Trish.

Speaker A

We appreciate you calling into around the House.

Speaker A

I want to jump over here to our next caller.

Speaker A

Thanks for calling in.

Speaker A

We appreciate it.

Speaker A

Let's jump over here real quick to Jackie, who's been patiently waiting.

Speaker A

Welcome to around the House, Jackie.

Speaker A

Are you with us?

Speaker I

Oh, yes, I am with you.

Speaker I

I'm heading off my car.

Speaker I

Yes, thank you for taking my call.

Speaker A

No problem.

Speaker A

We've only got about a minute, so.

Speaker A

So let's jump right into it here before we go out to break here.

Speaker I

Okay.

Speaker I

I'm.

Speaker I

I'm in Albany, Oregon.

Speaker I

We have a very active train station.

Speaker I

It's very old, but when the trains are very active.

Speaker I

I just want to ask Mr.

Speaker I

Lewis, is there any connection, does he think on some type of energy traveling with them?

Speaker I

I don't.

Speaker I

I never believed in it except for the last couple years.

F

And I don't know when the trains are active.

Clyde Lewis

Is that when you hear ghosts?

Speaker I

I don't hear anything.

Speaker I

What I.

Speaker I

What I feel is different situations.

Speaker I

And your last caller, Trish, hit on the word dementia.

Speaker I

And I took care of my stepdad, but he saw things.

Speaker I

And so I was making a connection with when that.

Speaker I

When the trains are really active.

Speaker I

That's where it was.

Speaker I

I used to live in Portland.

Clyde Lewis

Well, the trains actually.

Clyde Lewis

The trains, when they're active, actually stir up.

Clyde Lewis

They actually stir up a lot of energy.

Clyde Lewis

And that's why I was wondering if you heard them, if you heard the voices in the trains and the sounds, because they use a lot of the sounds and a lot of the energy that's brought up by motion, wind, I mean, all these things, smoke that also fire also brings in ghosts.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

It's just because they feed off that energy.

Clyde Lewis

They feed off the energy of humans, but they also feed off the energy of things around them.

Speaker A

Thanks, Jackie.

Speaker A

Thanks for calling in.

Speaker A

We come back, we're going to be taking all your calls and we've got David Ned coming up with questions just as soon as around the House returns.

H

And I won't believe it's true.

H

No, not from you, not from anybody.

Speaker B

Hey, this is Ron Kiel, the metal.

Clyde Lewis

Cowboy from Kiel, the Ron Kiel Band and Stealer.

Clyde Lewis

We are rocking around the House with Eric G.

Clyde Lewis

Raise your fist.

H

Thank you.

Speaker B

Welcome back to the Round the House show, the next generation of home improvement brought to you by friends at Monument Grills.

Speaker B

If you're looking for a brand new grill to get through the fall and winter season, check them out@monument grills.com now we've been talking in this episode with Clyde Lewis.

Speaker B

Before we get to that, I wanted to share with you a fun house that I went and visited that's airing on this weekend's episode of around the House Northwest here in the Portland area and other markets around the country.

Speaker B

Now you'll be able to catch us.

Speaker B

I'm going to put some of these videos up here this week after it shows up, after it airs today on Saturday's show or on Sunday's show.

Speaker B

It'll go up after that at some point.

Speaker B

But here's the thing.

Speaker B

We went out and visited a mansion here in Portland, the Pittock Mansion.

Speaker B

And it is the guy that have that basically he founded the Oregonian newspaper and built this house in 1914.

Speaker B

And to me, it was one of America's first smart homes.

Speaker B

And this is what's really cool about this place is that we went and visited, walked around and it had things like in 1914, a full working intercom system.

Speaker B

Because he was about 80 years old when he moved into the house, he had an elevator put in, one of the first in a home in the United States in that the other thing they did that was really cool is they put in, you know, lighting around the cornices in the crown, molding around in rooms.

Speaker B

But because electricity was so unreliable and could be a fire source, they built that out of plaster and then painted the wood grain on it to make it look like it was white oak.

Speaker B

So there's a lot of cool details like this that happened inside this house.

Speaker B

It even had a working refrigerator and a refrigerator room that they had cooled water going in to keep this room cold.

Speaker B

So it was really top of the line for 1914.

Speaker B

And it's cool because it's open to the public.

Speaker B

The people of Portland saved it before it got torn down.

Speaker B

A massive mansion.

Speaker B

And we got to go have a lot of fun with that.

Speaker B

So make sure you check us out on social media or on the around the House online page.

Speaker B

I'll put it up there for you so you can take a look at it.

Speaker B

But it is something that is a masterpiece that if you're in the Pacific Northwest, you're visiting, you can go check it out.

Speaker B

And they do tours almost every day, so that's a cool thing with that.

Speaker B

All right, guys, now let's get back to our conversation here with Clyde Lewis from ground Zero, and we're going to continue this Wayback Machine Halloween episode with Clyde.

Speaker B

Let's get to it.

Speaker A

We're going to go to Edin Portland.

Speaker A

Just a second here, But I do want to give David one more try here.

Speaker A

Welcome back to around the House.

Speaker A

We dropped you here a second ago.

Speaker A

Are you still with us, David?

G

Yes.

Speaker A

Thanks, man.

Speaker A

All right, so Saigon Magus, right?

G

Yeah.

G

Anyway, I don't remember where it was cut off.

G

So, anyway, went down to the fridge, saw movement out of the corner of my.

G

And I investigated, and it looked like a couple of little maggots.

G

So I enlarged the hole in the wall, and they flooded out.

G

I've done some research on the area, and there was a pitched battle there in 72 or 73, the battle for Saigon.

G

And so I got kind of weirded out.

G

I was kind of Zen with it, but I put my wife and the kid up in a hotel, and when they came to to strip the wall out, no one was there except for our maid.

G

And she told me that instead of it being a rat or something, someone had lost part of their hand while building the place.

G

And that was like a month before this.

Clyde Lewis

And they just left it in the wall for the maggots to eat it.

G

Yeah.

G

So how about that?

Clyde Lewis

Hey, I saw something you wrote in the news the other day that somebody was stripping a wall.

Clyde Lewis

They were looking through a building, and they were trying to strip a wall.

Clyde Lewis

They stripped it away.

Clyde Lewis

And human teeth, A whole pile of human teeth came out.

Speaker A

That's not good.

Clyde Lewis

I don't know what the hell that's about.

F

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

How do you have A whole wall full of human teeth.

Clyde Lewis

I've heard back in the day, old homes where.

Clyde Lewis

Remember the old steel razor blades?

Speaker A

Oh, yeah.

Clyde Lewis

They had this little place where you could dump the razor blades in the.

Speaker B

Wall a million times.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

Hundreds of times.

Clyde Lewis

You know, you extracting that saying what?

Clyde Lewis

Because they used to put this.

Clyde Lewis

They use just a dispenser.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Where you put the steel razor blades in between the walls.

Clyde Lewis

I don't know what that's about.

E

Why?

Speaker A

Well, no, there were medicine cabinets out there that had little things.

Speaker A

You could just drop it in there.

Speaker B

And just went into the wall cavity.

Speaker A

And disappeared and disappeared.

Speaker B

Yeah, and they just.

Speaker A

I guess they just figured that by the time you got that thing filled.

Speaker B

Up, you know, you got 100 years.

Speaker A

Of razor blades in there.

Speaker B

Nobody ever thought about it.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker A

Yeah, I've opened up walls and seen five pounds of razor blades in there.

Clyde Lewis

That's insane.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A

David.

Speaker A

Sorry, man.

Speaker A

That.

Speaker A

That's a bummer.

G

Yeah, it just kind of sit with a Halloween theme.

G

I thought the place was haunted or something, and it just turned out to be part of the hand.

Clyde Lewis

Oh, my gosh.

Speaker A

Wow.

G

Anyway, I took care of it with some DDT before they came in and stripped the wall.

G

But thanks for taking my call, folks.

Speaker A

David, thanks for calling us back.

Speaker A

Thanks for listening.

Speaker A

Thanks for calling back, man.

Speaker A

Let's give that guy a hand.

Clyde Lewis

We're here all night.

Speaker A

Let's run out to Ed in Portland.

Speaker A

Welcome to around the House.

Speaker A

Thanks for waiting.

E

Hello.

E

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Let's see.

E

I'm a painter here in Portland, and one time I was at this one.

E

How this one.

E

Oh, I guess the house was built in about 1850.

E

I was stripping off the wallpaper, and then I took a couple pictures of my job after that, and I saw a whole bunch of orbs or bfs around, you know, and then about.

E

Oh, I guess about a year later, I went back there, I.

E

I dropped by the house again.

E

They turned it into a small office building, and I took a couple pictures of that.

E

And when you zoom into the certain windows, you see a go go.

E

You see some ghostly figures in the picture.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Most of the time when you're dealing with ghostly phenomena, a lot of people don't know what they're looking for.

Clyde Lewis

You know, they're expecting to see something like you'd see in a movie.

Clyde Lewis

You know, it's like, you know, you're not gonna be seeing like, what they saw in Ghost.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

Patrick Swayze is not gonna come out, make love to you while you're doing Pottery doesn't happen.

Speaker A

It does.

Speaker A

That'd be a weird little movie thing there.

Clyde Lewis

But yeah, that's not by Patrick Swayze, Roadhouse.

Speaker A

It's its own awning.

Clyde Lewis

But no, seriously, when you see the orbs, a lot of orbs mean that you're trying, actually whatever it is is trying to manifest because all the ghosts are little orbs all coming together to create this apparition.

Clyde Lewis

And we were talking about mirrors earlier and we were talking about how sometimes things can appear in mirrors.

Clyde Lewis

You can use them to reflect back some sort of evil activity or even ghosts.

Clyde Lewis

What's really odd is the old term smoke and mirrors.

Clyde Lewis

Whenever you hear that, they say, ah, it's all smoke and mirrors.

Clyde Lewis

Well, the reason why they say that is because ghosts would appear in mirrors, they'd appear in smoke.

Clyde Lewis

And sometimes if you, you know, smoke can appear in the house.

Clyde Lewis

Sometimes they appear as like a vortice, like a vortex, like a little mini tornado.

Clyde Lewis

They look like that.

Clyde Lewis

I had a ghost in a kitchen one time, said, I will not sit down.

Clyde Lewis

Pushed everything away and all the pots and pans fell.

Clyde Lewis

But I saw this thing.

Clyde Lewis

It just looked like some sort of a blue flame.

Clyde Lewis

It would look like this flame is fluid in a way.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

A lot of people don't realize the flame seems very fluid when it, when it burns.

Clyde Lewis

So I had this like fluidic type, watery, fiery type looking thing.

Clyde Lewis

It's kind of like materializing, I mean, going away, just basically disappearing.

Clyde Lewis

I couldn't tell if it was male or female.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, I've seen full apparitions before.

Clyde Lewis

I've taken pictures of full apparitions.

Clyde Lewis

In fact, there's a beautiful woman.

Clyde Lewis

We were in a theater in Astoria where this woman appeared to me there.

Clyde Lewis

And I asked her if it'd be okay to take her picture.

Clyde Lewis

And when we did, I took it.

Clyde Lewis

And you could just see her hair and her shoulder.

Clyde Lewis

Her face wasn't really.

Clyde Lewis

You couldn't see her face.

Clyde Lewis

It was kind of clouded out.

Clyde Lewis

But you can see your shoulder, you can see your hair.

Clyde Lewis

And it's not always perfect.

Clyde Lewis

Apparitions aren't perfect.

Clyde Lewis

So people always say, oh, it's pareidolia, which means that you're putting an image to it, like smoke or clouds or, you know, Jesus in a tortilla, that kind of thing.

Clyde Lewis

But no, it does show up.

Clyde Lewis

And it is pretty amazing.

Clyde Lewis

And sometimes it shows up in your mirrors.

Clyde Lewis

It sometimes shows up in smoke.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, people have seen them in many ways, but orbs are very popular.

Clyde Lewis

Orbs are seen more than anything else.

Speaker A

That's wild.

Speaker A

Hey, Ed, thanks for calling into around the House, man.

Speaker A

We really appreciate it.

Speaker A

Thanks for giving a call.

Speaker A

That's a great one right there.

Speaker A

There we go.

Clyde Lewis

Well, wreaths of garlic keep the vampires and the werewolves away.

Speaker B

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B

So that's.

Speaker A

These are.

Speaker A

We've had some great phone calls here.

Speaker A

We're gonna go out to break here and then get into our last segment where we wrap this whole show up.

Clyde Lewis

Wow, it's gone by fast.

Speaker B

It has.

Speaker A

It has been the crazy fast show here around the house.

Speaker B

Now we come back.

Speaker B

We're gonna wrap this up with Clyde Lewis.

Speaker B

You don't want to miss this one.

Speaker B

It's still continuing just as soon as around the house returns.

Clyde Lewis

All right.

H

The fan is drunk.

H

It's the end of the show.

H

No drinking down, people.

H

It's time to go.

H

It's that time again.

H

It's last call.

H

Last call.

Speaker B

Welcome back to the round the house show, the next generation of home improvement.

Speaker B

Thanks for joining me today.

Speaker B

I'm Eric G.

Speaker B

Speaker B

That'll keep you busy with all the different stuff we've got going on.

Speaker B

If you're a longtime listener of the around the house show and you were listening about six years ago, you would have heard this on the radio.

Speaker B

This is my conversation that we had for two hours live on the radio with the one and only Clyde Lewis, the paranormal radio show host across the country.

Speaker B

One of the biggest names out there in that, respected by that entire community.

Speaker B

And he came on the show for two hours, and we took a lot of calls with people talking about haunted houses and things that people experienced in their life and things that even I experienced.

Speaker B

This is going to wrap up in the middle of this segment here because we had a lot less We Had a lot more commercials back then than we do now.

Speaker B

So we're going to talk about some decorating tips for this week before those kids show up at your house.

Speaker B

And I've got some ideas for you here as well that can make this a lot of fun.

Speaker B

Now let's wrap this up with Clyde.

Speaker A

Welcome back Clyde Lewis from the wonderful show Ground Zero.

Clyde Lewis

Thank you.

Speaker A

He is heard worldwide, all over, based out of this station here.

Speaker A

So he is usually over on this side of the microphone.

Speaker A

He's over where?

Clyde Lewis

Just remember what sign is on the left.

Speaker A

Exactly.

Speaker A

He's got the chair over in the corner, which is a very unusual spot for him.

Speaker A

Well, we've been talking great stories.

Speaker A

I mean, I've had my stories.

Speaker A

What is your most memorable story that you kind of ghost thing that was.

Speaker A

You're probably the one that sticks to you the most.

Clyde Lewis

I was attacked by the Zodiac Killer in Martinez, California.

Clyde Lewis

Goes to the Zodiac Killer.

Clyde Lewis

I was at the Martinez Gazette.

Clyde Lewis

We were called actually, to show up there to do a ghost hunt.

Clyde Lewis

They wanted to broadcast it live.

Clyde Lewis

We were on serious radio at the time.

Clyde Lewis

And I went there.

Clyde Lewis

I was just out of the hospital with cancer surgery, actually.

Speaker B

Oh, wow.

Clyde Lewis

So it was like, what, about three or four months?

Clyde Lewis

I fell up to going on this trip, and still a little weakened, but of course, I went on the trip, no problem.

Clyde Lewis

And we went to this place, the Martinez Gazette, where the guy named Richard Gauski was an editor there.

Clyde Lewis

And apparently they thought that he was one of the guys that could have been the Zodiac Killer.

Clyde Lewis

And he died.

Clyde Lewis

And they were saying that his ghost was haunting the Martinez Gazette.

Clyde Lewis

And so it's kind of like, okay, we'll see what this guy's like.

Clyde Lewis

You know, I always end up doing the serial killer stuff.

Clyde Lewis

I just did a thing last night with a.

Clyde Lewis

With a Ouija board that was made by a serial killer.

Clyde Lewis

So anyway, wow.

Clyde Lewis

We're there, and I'm on the air, and all of a sudden I was interviewing this woman.

Clyde Lewis

She just busted out crying right in front of me.

Clyde Lewis

She wouldn't stop crying.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

And I asked her, I said, you okay?

Clyde Lewis

And she says, he's here, he's here.

Clyde Lewis

Walked away from my show.

Clyde Lewis

So I'm sitting here going, what do I do now?

Speaker A

Yeah, what now?

Clyde Lewis

I was gonna interview you.

Clyde Lewis

You're crying and you walk away, and I'm sitting there alone.

Clyde Lewis

And so we had ghost hunters all around, you know, doing investigations and stuff.

Clyde Lewis

And one of the ghost hunters says, what, you pick on women?

Clyde Lewis

You know, he started swearing at it.

Clyde Lewis

You're picking on women like that, you know, come after me, guy come after me.

Clyde Lewis

And so instead of coming after him.

Speaker A

One after the weak one, I just.

Clyde Lewis

Got out of surgery.

Clyde Lewis

I had surgery.

Clyde Lewis

And so I'm sitting there on the air, and all of a sudden I feel my throat closing up.

Speaker A

Whoa.

Clyde Lewis

On the air.

Clyde Lewis

I couldn't breathe.

Clyde Lewis

And I'm.

Clyde Lewis

I'm.

Clyde Lewis

I'm like.

Clyde Lewis

It's kind of freaking out because I've never had this feeling before, and I feel on air.

Clyde Lewis

Well, at first I'm thinking I'm having a panic attack, but I've never had a panic attack.

Clyde Lewis

You know, years.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, it's been years.

Clyde Lewis

And I'm thinking I'm having a panic attack.

Clyde Lewis

And also I start bawling on the air.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

And it's because of the fact, not that I was scared of whatever it is that was happening to me, I thought to myself, I'm not going to be able to say goodbye to my wife.

Clyde Lewis

I said, if I'm dying, you know, yeah, I just had cancer surgery.

Clyde Lewis

And this is where I'm going to die in Martinez, California, honey.

Clyde Lewis

The Zodiac Killer.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Clyde Lewis

So I'm thinking to myself, I'm gonna die here.

Clyde Lewis

And my wife, I didn't have a chance to say goodbye to her.

Clyde Lewis

I didn't have a chance.

Clyde Lewis

I love you, nothing.

Clyde Lewis

And that's what I was crying about.

Clyde Lewis

But it was so bad because then when it started attacking me, my entire body felt like it was being overcome by something.

Clyde Lewis

I had to run outside.

Clyde Lewis

And I remember my wife once told me, if you feel like you're losing control, take your shoes off, walk through the mud.

Clyde Lewis

You're grounding yourself to the earth.

Clyde Lewis

So I took my shoes off.

Clyde Lewis

It was a nice wet and muddy area near a tree.

Clyde Lewis

I held under the tree and barfed my guts out.

Clyde Lewis

Wow.

Clyde Lewis

Just barfing my guts out.

Clyde Lewis

And it was funny because then I went back and I did the rest of the show, but I was sick and weak.

Clyde Lewis

Went back to the hotel.

Clyde Lewis

The whole night I was in the bathroom.

Clyde Lewis

This whole night in the bathroom, everything was just.

Speaker A

Your body was just destroyed.

Clyde Lewis

Yeah, just destroyed by whatever this thing was.

Clyde Lewis

And, like, everybody's, like, celebrating.

Clyde Lewis

Said, that was a great ghost hunt and everything.

Clyde Lewis

They're eating, like, hamburgers and everything.

Clyde Lewis

I settled for just having a Diet Coke and going home and going to bed.

Clyde Lewis

And the next day, of course, we went to Benihana.

Clyde Lewis

And I felt better because it was good food, but I was just like, my God, I don't know what happened to me, but it was the worst thing that's ever happened to me and it ended me off honest.

Clyde Lewis

I haven't really been on a ghost hunt since then.

Clyde Lewis

I mean I, I've been offered to go on ghost hunts but I kind of avoided them.

Clyde Lewis

But yeah, I, I, it, it's not that I don't want to go on a ghost hunt, it's just that I'm, I'm too old now, I don't think.

Clyde Lewis

I mean, last thing I did is I went to Vashon island to look at.

Clyde Lewis

Oh actually I went to Damari island looking at the Mare Island UFO case.

Clyde Lewis

I actually almost, I, I actually twisted my leg on some driftwood and I had to get almost flown out in a helicopter.

Clyde Lewis

So I thought, nah, I, I just rather, rather have the young people go do this stuff.

Clyde Lewis

I don't think I'll do it anymore.

Clyde Lewis

I'd rather just officiate rather than do it.

Speaker A

Nice.

Speaker A

So 30 seconds, what's the best before we're out of the show here, what's.

Speaker B

The best way to people listen to you on Ground zero?

Clyde Lewis

Ground zero seven to midnight.

Clyde Lewis

We're also heard on listen to ground zero.com they're on podcast called Ground Zero Aftermath which is basically a site dedicated to all things ground zero.

Clyde Lewis

Studying, researching.

Clyde Lewis

It's gonna be a research pod.

Speaker B

Nice.

Clyde Lewis

We're gonna open that up probably next month.

Speaker A

Nice Clyde, thanks for coming in man.

Speaker A

We really appreciate it.

Speaker B

A special thanks to Clyde and his crew for coming on around the house show back then and hopefully we'll do something like this the future again and try to pull something off like this where it's a live two hour show like that because that was just a lot of fun to explore into that.

Speaker B

Something I'd never done before, a special thing.

Speaker B

If you want to find out more about Clyde, head over toGround Zero media.org and you can find out more about them.

Speaker B

They have a massive back catalog over there and you can go in there, they've got premium memberships, they've got things like that, they have got a deep catalog and you can catch them on your favorite radio station across the country and your favorite podcast player.

Speaker B

So those guys are great out there.

Speaker B

So check out Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis.

Speaker B

Now I wanted to give some decorating tips here because there is some fun stuff you can have.

Speaker B

And as a kid back in the 70s and 80s, I know I'm going to date myself here, but you know something, we had a lot of fun decorating back then and we would go all out, my parents would let Us do this.

Speaker B

They played, had as much fun as we did.

Speaker B

So we had one of those 70s mailboxes where you could reach through the door and put the mail slot and it would drop into.

Speaker B

Actually it was not through a door, through the side of the house and dropped down into a box.

Speaker B

So what we did is we would put it where kids could reach down into that.

Speaker B

We'd put candy there.

Speaker B

But as a kid, I could stick my hand up there and I could put a glove on and grab their hand as they grab into the candy from underneath the candy.

Speaker B

It was so funny.

Speaker B

We would scare so many kids.

Speaker B

We would sit there and put a lot of effort in.

Speaker B

But the thing now is you can do so much with technology now.

Speaker B

It can be super simple.

Speaker B

You can jump on and buy some music or, you know, play a haunted playlist off of Spotify or your favorite streaming player.

Speaker B

And you could play this music and put out a couple of those, you know, those hidden speakers up in a tree or any one of those wireless Bluetooth like the little JBLs or whatever you have.

Speaker B

Just make sure you put in a spot where a kid can't steal it or nobody else can mess with it.

Speaker B

But if you put it up someplace a little high and you know, zip ties and some things like that, you can really make it spooky.

Speaker B

And just a few pounds of dry ice and some water and just going out and playing with that, you don't have to go rent a fog machine.

Speaker B

You can make this really fun and really simple.

Speaker B

And with LED lights, there's so many things you can do to the front of your house to make it look really, really spooky.

Speaker B

And that can be really fun to have that grand house in the neighborhood where the trick or treaters are going.

Speaker B

Now I would probably still be doing this, but I'm on a busy enough street right here.

Speaker B

And we've got blocks over from my house that are million dollar houses that mine isn't.

Speaker B

There's.

Speaker B

That's where the kids go because that's where they can go over there and get the full size candy bars and all that stuff.

Speaker B

You know how it works in the neighborhood.

Speaker B

Those little nicer areas are where the kids all roll into because they get the, the full size candy bars, the Hot Wheels or whatever they're getting over there.

Speaker B

So we only get one or two.

Speaker B

So it's not worth all the effort for that one trick or treater we get.

Speaker B

But it's something you can have a lot of fun with.

Speaker B

Well, I want to thank everybody for joining me today in our Way Back episode here, a remastering of our episode with Clyde Lewis a number of years ago.

Speaker B

And we had a lot of fun doing this today.

Speaker B

Thanks for tuning in.

Speaker B
