It's around the house.
Speaker BClyde Lewis.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisMost of the time when you're dealing with ghostly phenomena, a lot of people don't know what they're looking for.
Clyde LewisYou know, they're expecting to see something like you'd see in a movie.
Clyde LewisYou know, it's like, you know, you're not going to be seeing like what they saw in ghost, you know.
Speaker BYeah.
Clyde LewisPatrick Swayze is not going to come out, make love to you while you're doing pottery.
Clyde LewisThat should happen.
Speaker AIt does.
Speaker AThat'd be a weird little movie scene there, but.
Clyde LewisYeah, that's not being haunted by Patrick.
Clyde LewisPatrick Swayze.
Clyde LewisRoadhouse.
Speaker AIt's its own awning.

Speaker BThe next generation of home improvement.
Speaker BThis is hour two of our Halloween.
Speaker ASpecial that we did with Clyde Lewis.
Speaker BNow this is one from years ago, but it was so crazy and off the hook.
Speaker BI thought it's been a number of years since we played it.
Speaker BSo we're going to have a Halloween special.
Speaker BThis episode is brought to you by our friends at Monument Grills.
Speaker BTo find out more, head to monumentgrills.com now let's get back to this wild Halloween conversation with Clyde Lewis.
Speaker AI'll stick you back on hold.
Speaker AMaybe we can get you back there.
Speaker ALet's run out here to Tara and Eugene.
Speaker AWelcome to around the house.
DHey, thanks for having me.
Speaker AThanks.
Speaker AThanks for waiting.
Speaker AWhat can we help you with today?
DActually, I agree with a lot of your points and it's good to hear because a lot of people don't, you know, they don't believe kind of like how we do.
DAnd I do a lot of clearings and I've been involved with a paranormal for 20 years and I wanted to ask you about dimensions, different dimensions, because I'd never seen any or dealt with it until the last two years.
DAnd I've seen some really creepy things.
DSo I'm wondering if you've ever had the experience and seen some of the things that come out of the black holes that we see when we do clearing sometimes.
Clyde LewisYou know, it's funny because there's new Science out now and like I said, allows us getting beyond the snicker factor that a lot of scientists used to give.
Clyde LewisScientists now are saying that not only are we dealing with, you know, we may not even be dealing with the hereafter when we're dealing with ghosts, we're dealing with dimensional beings.
Clyde LewisAnd that what we're looking at is we're looking at an overlapping universe where we have multiverse, overlapping, overlapping, overlapping.
Clyde LewisWe have something, we're on something called the brain.
Clyde LewisIt's the membrane, they call it the brain.
Clyde LewisIt's kind of a confusing thing to call it.
Clyde LewisWhat they're saying is there's some sort of a constructed matrix called the brain that we're on and that we're in.
Clyde LewisBut beyond the brain there are other things going on.
Clyde LewisThere's like different dimensions.
Clyde LewisThen from those there are different veins and different dimensions and different brains and different dimensions.
Clyde LewisWell, it's something called quantum immortality.
Clyde LewisAnd the idea that what it is, it's like you for one saying, Eric, you're like, you're like a TV set set, I'm like a TV set, Dane's like a TV set.
Clyde LewisSo we're all like a TV set and we all have a broadcast that we have that's different, but it's all basically from one source.
Clyde LewisWhen our bodies run out of steam and we fall apart, that broadcast still goes, but there's nothing to pick it up.
Clyde LewisActually somewhere a body happens and you're picked up.
Clyde LewisSo it's just the idea that the essence and the intelligence and the consciousness is in some parallel universe somewhere.
Clyde LewisAnd you could also have a double or a doppelganger in a parallel universe somewhere.
Clyde LewisSo even people who are alive can haunt a place, believe it or not.
Clyde LewisOh, wow.
DI haven't heard that before.
DOh yeah, it's pretty crazy creepy things.
Clyde LewisIt's called separatism.
Clyde LewisI think it's called something like pan separatism or something.
Clyde LewisIt's the idea that you can be at two places at once and people who have out of body experiences are in two places at once usually.
Clyde LewisSo it's just the idea that you can travel through the dimensions because there are different time dimensions that are overlapping.
Clyde LewisIt's like we're a stack of baloney with every single dimension overlapping.
EWow.
Clyde LewisSo every once in a while, for example, if you're for example going on a ghost hunt and you happen to see a full on apparition, chances are they're seeing you and you're a ghost to them.
Speaker AOh, oh, okay.
Clyde LewisI talk to A lot of ghosts.
DAnd they tell me, what are you doing in my house?
DYou know, And I'm like, this is in your house?
DIt's a barn.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisAnd that's the thing, is that they are in another dimension, thinking that they're in a house.
Clyde LewisWhen you're in a barn and you're looking at them and they're seeing you as a ghost, they're wondering, who the hell are you?
Clyde LewisWhat are you doing there?
Clyde LewisSo, yeah, it's the idea that there have been encounters where people can't explain the fact that they've seen people who have looked at them and said, well, who are you and why you're here?
Clyde LewisIt's because of the fact that you're in a dimensional situation.
DWe act or project sometimes when we do clearings.
DAnd that's how I saw my first, I guess, black hole.
DAnd it's.
DIt's very odd because it's the whole.
DThe whole area changes.
DSo it doesn't look like the house we're in.
DIt looks like something completely different.
Clyde LewisYes.
DSo it makes me wonder if we're seeing it in their view.
Clyde LewisWell, we're also living in times, believe it or not, we're also living in times where, I mean, you can look up and look this up.
Clyde LewisJordy Rose was the founder of Kindred, the founder of the D Wave computer.
Clyde LewisHe did it.
Clyde LewisHe spoke in Vancouver, British Columbia, and he said, with the power of the D Wave computer, with the power of the Kindred computer, all the computers we use at cern, we are capable now of opening up portals and allowing things to come through.
DRight.
DYeah, I've seen people do that.
DAnd actually, I've had spirits tell me that they can open up portals.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisIt's just.
Clyde LewisOnce again, it's back to the old quantum paranormal, the quantum immortality.
Clyde LewisIt exists.
Clyde LewisScience is just grasping onto it, and it's gonna be a while before it sets in because a lot of people are still doing the same old hocus pocus.
Clyde LewisAnd that works too.
Clyde LewisI mean, don't get me wrong.
Clyde LewisI mean, conjuring and workings and all those things have been well documented, from Jack Parsons to John Dee to Eric, Ed Kelly and all these other Aleister Crowley.
Clyde LewisI mean, these are all those who have written about this stuff.
Clyde LewisThey can open up what they call windows or stairways to heaven or.
DAnd it's a lot harder to close them.
Clyde LewisYeah, it's hard.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisOnce you open them, you gotta learn how to close them.
Clyde LewisI mean, the perfect example of this is when L.
Clyde LewisRon Hubbard and Jack Parsons went out in the desert one time and did some sort of a magic ritual called the Babylon working.
Clyde LewisSomething came through and they didn't even cl.
Clyde LewisThey were too scared.
Clyde LewisThey didn't even close the portal.
Clyde LewisSo whatever they brought in, you know, we don't know what it was.
Clyde LewisWe think it may be aliens or something, but they brought in something that was just bizarre.
Clyde LewisBut everything I'm talking about is.
Clyde LewisIs true.
Clyde LewisI mean, this stuff.
Clyde LewisI mean, Jack Parsons.
Clyde LewisThere was actually a show on cbs, something called Something Angel.
Clyde LewisI can't remember what it was.
Clyde LewisIt was about him.
Clyde LewisAnd so they named a peak after him on the moon.
Clyde LewisHe was a.
Clyde LewisHe was a rocket scientist, but he actually practiced black thalemic witchcraft.
Clyde LewisSo.
Clyde LewisYeah, wild.
Speaker BHey Tara, thanks for calling in.
Speaker AWe appreciate you listening too.
Speaker AYeah, thanks for calling into around the House.
Speaker ALet's run out here real quick to boy.
Speaker ATrish in Vancouver has been patiently waiting.
Speaker AWelcome to around the House.
FThank you.
FI appreciate you taking my calls.
Speaker ANo problem.
Speaker BWhat can we help you with today?
FI just want to tell you about an experience I had probably 15 years ago.
FI moved next door to my sister's house to be close to my nephew and two little nieces while they were very young.
FAnd from the first night I moved next door to them to take care of an old lady with dementia.
FI went to go to sleep and I heard ting, ting, ting on.
FIt sounded like porcelain, like you didn't brush your teeth.
FAnd there was only me and the old lady in the house.
FAnd I could see her from my bed to her bed across the hall.
FAnd I told my sister about it and on the phone just next door, all these conversations were extremely, like muffled and hard to hear.
FAnd I said, please just don't tell mom and dad because I don't want them to think I'm a weirdo.
FBut there's weird stuff happening here.
FIt started right away.
FAnd one of the other things that happened there was.
FI heard.
FI was watching tv and just to the right of me there wasn't a room.
FI was on the second floor.
FBut it sounded like a couple having sex.
FThe woman, you could just hear her moaning.
FAnd I mean, it was.
FI believe it was demons.
FI believe it was invited from the old lady I took care of because she would obsessively watch these preachings of a.
FOf a pastor every day, the same ones over and over again.
FAnd I believe she invited them.
FAnd there were so many things that happened.
FI don't know, I would pray, like in Jesus name, make this go away.
FAnd it seemed like things would stop for like two weeks and then stuff would come back and, and then finally my mom came over with my little nieces and my sister for a visit and unexpectedly, boom, boom, boom, boom.
FLike a probably 800 pound person sound like they were running up the stairs.
FAnd my mom's like, somebody's here.
FI said, no, no, there's not.
FAnd I ran up the stairs to show her that no, you know, and I was so excited, like, oh, wow, they can see that I'm not crazy.
FI'm like, mom, yeah, stuff has been happening here.
Speaker AYou've got some crazy stuff going on there.
Speaker AWe're after not to break here but I want to help you all go.
Clyde LewisTo break it and come back.
Speaker ALet's come back.
Speaker AWe're going to answer your questions here when we get back because I want.
Speaker BTo talk about this for just a.
Speaker ASecond when we come back.
Speaker ASo ground zero.
Speaker AClyde Lewis with Around the House there.
Speaker BAt G.
Speaker BDon't change that dial.
Speaker BWe're just getting started with more from Clyde Lewis after these important messages in our Halloween special.
Speaker BThanks for tuning in to around the House.
Speaker AWe'll see you after the break.
GWhat's up?
Speaker BThis is Sticks it in you and.
Speaker ASatchel from Steel Panther and you are.
Speaker BListening to around the House with Eric G.
Speaker BYeah, we love Eric G.
Speaker BAnd you should too.
H1987.
HI never want to leave you.
Speaker BWelcome back to the around the House show, the next generation of home improvement.
Speaker BThanks for joining today.
Speaker BWe've got a special episode here this week for Halloween, a holiday episode where we went back and listen to and you're getting to see a re edited, remastered version that is cleaned up from Clyde Lewis that came on the show when we did this about 6 years ago live in the studio at our former headquarters over at KXL radio.
Speaker BAnd that was a lot of fun.
Speaker BNow here's one thing I wanted to talk about, whether you believe it or not, and we were going to talk about this a little bit earlier but I wanted to save it for right now.
Speaker BYou know, when you're out shopping for homes, whether you believe this or not and you're worried about what happens if I'm buying a house that is haunted.
Speaker BOne thing to look for that you see.
Speaker BOf course a lot of people aren't supposed to disclose that they don't have to.
Speaker BBut if you see a house that was bought and sold and bought and sold for about a year or every six months, years on end, that should be a warning sign that maybe something is going on.
Speaker AThere.
Speaker BAnd because of these days, that is something that doesn't have to be disclosed in most areas.
Speaker BIf someone died there, unless there was a big crime that happened while those people were there, you're not going to see that in a disclosure that the building is haunted.
Speaker BAnd take a look at the seller's history on that.
Speaker BIf you see a lot of people turning over or if you see something like that, that's a big warning sign for people out there.
Speaker BSo keep an eye on that.
Speaker BIf you see that, you know, like I said, turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.
Speaker BAnd it's always great to talk to the neighbors in the neighborhood before you put an offer in.
Speaker BWalk around, knock on the neighbor's door.
Speaker BI've done that.
Speaker BI've talked to the neighbors around there and go, hey, guys, what's the story here?
Speaker BYou're going to find out more about who's been in that house, what's going on, and the people next door are going to be cool to see who's moving in if you're getting ready to put an offer on it.
Speaker BSo this one's getting wild.
Speaker BIt's not going to disappoint.
Speaker BLet's get back to the program.
Speaker ARun back out here to Trish in Vancouver.
Speaker AWe're going to try to help her with.
Speaker AIf you're just joining us, we were talking about some stuff.
Speaker AShe was having taken care of an elderly lady.
Speaker AWelcome back, Trish.
FThank you.
Clyde LewisAll right, so we were discussing that it was the elderly lady that was causing this because there are a lot of reports of paranormal activity dealing with people who, like, you're dealing with dementia, you're dealing with other mental situations.
Clyde LewisA lot of things about ghosts that, especially poltergeist activity, it is actually manifested through brain trauma.
Clyde LewisAnd a lot of things are manifested through that.
Clyde LewisThat's why when you deal with poltergeist activity, you're usually dealing with teenage girls.
Clyde LewisActually, teenage boys sometimes can manifest them, but mostly teenage girls and sometimes elderly people with certain types of, like, dementia or other known brain disorders and functions.
Clyde LewisI remember my father, actually, when he was getting older, they put him on some sort of medication and he didn't understand why, but he said that gray men would show up at night and visit him near his bed.
Clyde LewisAnd I said, sounds like aliens.
Clyde LewisHe said, no, no, no.
Clyde LewisHe said, I think they're out of my mind.
Clyde LewisHe says, they're in my mind.
Clyde LewisAnd he also said that there were three women that would accompany these grey men.
Clyde LewisAnd I thought to myself, it reminded me of the Furies you know, the witches that show up.
Clyde LewisAnd so he got off that medication, but he just said that it was very real to him and they were right there.
Clyde LewisHe says they were tangible, touch.
Clyde LewisYou could touch them and feel them and everything.
Clyde LewisSo, I mean, the mind is a very powerful thing.
Clyde LewisIt's like I was doing a whole show last night about Ouija boards, and I said, you know, when you look at.
Clyde LewisWhat do you call it?
Clyde LewisIdeomotor responses.
Clyde LewisWhat you do is you put your.
Clyde LewisYou put your hands on the Ouija board, on the.
Clyde LewisOn the planchette.
Clyde LewisAnd even though you're not guiding it, your muscles are subtly moving with the planchette.
Clyde LewisAnd so it gives this feeling.
Clyde LewisAnd so what's going on is you're transmitting.
Clyde LewisSomething is transmitting through you into the hands.
Clyde LewisAnd so what you want to call it, you need to call it intuition, mind over matter, will, or you can even say some paranormal entity has entered into your body.
Clyde LewisThe human body is the transmitter for paranormal activity.
Clyde LewisIt always has been.
Clyde LewisIt's just like some anomaly when you walk in and the house seems to have this influence or something has an influence on you.
Clyde LewisSure, your body is responding to it, your mind is responding to it, and that's why it happens.
FWell, I know I came home one day and she said, I talked to Jesus today.
FAnd if you saw her face, I said, oh, okay.
Speaker II.
FShe looked really freaky, and I just wanted to get away from her.
FI got away from her.
FBut one of the other major things that happened during this experience is I was trying to sleep one night, and the lower half of my body just like.
FI don't know how fast to explain.
FIt's like unreal fast.
FLike it.
FA weight went boom.
FLike it hit me.
FLike me and my body and the bed to the floor.
FI don't think the bed went down, but I.
Speaker IIt was fast.
FLike, see what I can do to.
Speaker IYou if I want to.
FAround the time that I heard those big boom, boom steps run up the stairs with my mom and sister and the kids.
Clyde LewisSounds like incubus activity if you're having something sit on your bed.
Clyde LewisUsually the incubi, if they entered a house, they would sit on the chest of the person.
Clyde LewisAnd that, of course, has been written off by scientists as sleep paralysis.
Clyde LewisBut the incubi and the succubi has always been this, what they used to call it in the old days, and they still do.
Clyde LewisI mean, there have been cases of men who have had women appear to them in their room, sitting on top of their chest Even having sex with them.
Clyde LewisAnd then you have.
Clyde LewisBecause you're saying you're hearing sexual moans and things, and then you have theirs.
FIt was like, they're right beside me, a woman.
FIt was like.
FIt's just so clear.
FNot even.
FNot like, is that something.
Speaker BYeah.
Clyde LewisSounds incubating.
Clyde LewisIt sounds very incubated succubi.
Clyde LewisAnd I don't know if there was any.
Clyde LewisYou know, it's like, once again, poltergeist activity is brought on by, you know, when you're looking at younger people who bring on poltergeist activities because of sexual frustration.
Clyde LewisSeriously, it's a poltergeist arrive because of the sexual frustration.
Clyde LewisThey have young girls, you know, going through their menstrual cycles and everything else, and it's just sort of frustration for them.
Clyde LewisAnd it happens also during menopausal periods with women and also happens when they get very old.
Clyde LewisAnd if they, if they happen to have some sort of a brain situation, it does manifest in that.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisSo that's probably what you're having, some sort of.
Clyde LewisWhat would be incubi.
Clyde LewisSuccubi activity where it was being brought on by this woman who was having dementia.
Speaker AThanks, Trish.
Speaker AWe appreciate you calling into around the House.
Speaker AI want to jump over here to our next caller.
Speaker AThanks for calling in.
Speaker AWe appreciate it.
Speaker ALet's jump over here real quick to Jackie, who's been patiently waiting.
Speaker AWelcome to around the House, Jackie.
Speaker AAre you with us?
Speaker IOh, yes, I am with you.
Speaker II'm heading off my car.
Speaker IYes, thank you for taking my call.
Speaker ANo problem.
Speaker AWe've only got about a minute, so.
Speaker ASo let's jump right into it here before we go out to break here.
Speaker IOkay.
Speaker II'm.
Speaker II'm in Albany, Oregon.
Speaker IWe have a very active train station.
Speaker IIt's very old, but when the trains are very active.
Speaker II just want to ask Mr.
Speaker ILewis, is there any connection, does he think on some type of energy traveling with them?
Speaker II don't.
Speaker II never believed in it except for the last couple years.
FAnd I don't know when the trains are active.
Clyde LewisIs that when you hear ghosts?
Speaker II don't hear anything.
Speaker IWhat I.
Speaker IWhat I feel is different situations.
Speaker IAnd your last caller, Trish, hit on the word dementia.
Speaker IAnd I took care of my stepdad, but he saw things.
Speaker IAnd so I was making a connection with when that.
Speaker IWhen the trains are really active.
Speaker IThat's where it was.
Speaker II used to live in Portland.
Clyde LewisWell, the trains actually.
Clyde LewisThe trains, when they're active, actually stir up.
Clyde LewisThey actually stir up a lot of energy.
Clyde LewisAnd that's why I was wondering if you heard them, if you heard the voices in the trains and the sounds, because they use a lot of the sounds and a lot of the energy that's brought up by motion, wind, I mean, all these things, smoke that also fire also brings in ghosts.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisIt's just because they feed off that energy.
Clyde LewisThey feed off the energy of humans, but they also feed off the energy of things around them.
Speaker AThanks, Jackie.
Speaker AThanks for calling in.
Speaker AWe come back, we're going to be taking all your calls and we've got David Ned coming up with questions just as soon as around the House returns.
HAnd I won't believe it's true.
HNo, not from you, not from anybody.
Speaker BHey, this is Ron Kiel, the metal.
Clyde LewisCowboy from Kiel, the Ron Kiel Band and Stealer.
Clyde LewisWe are rocking around the House with Eric G.
Clyde LewisRaise your fist.
HThank you.
Speaker BWelcome back to the Round the House show, the next generation of home improvement brought to you by friends at Monument Grills.
Speaker BIf you're looking for a brand new grill to get through the fall and winter season, check them out@monument grills.com now we've been talking in this episode with Clyde Lewis.
Speaker BBefore we get to that, I wanted to share with you a fun house that I went and visited that's airing on this weekend's episode of around the House Northwest here in the Portland area and other markets around the country.
Speaker BNow you'll be able to catch us.
Speaker BI'm going to put some of these videos up here this week after it shows up, after it airs today on Saturday's show or on Sunday's show.
Speaker BIt'll go up after that at some point.
Speaker BBut here's the thing.
Speaker BWe went out and visited a mansion here in Portland, the Pittock Mansion.
Speaker BAnd it is the guy that have that basically he founded the Oregonian newspaper and built this house in 1914.
Speaker BAnd to me, it was one of America's first smart homes.
Speaker BAnd this is what's really cool about this place is that we went and visited, walked around and it had things like in 1914, a full working intercom system.
Speaker BBecause he was about 80 years old when he moved into the house, he had an elevator put in, one of the first in a home in the United States in that the other thing they did that was really cool is they put in, you know, lighting around the cornices in the crown, molding around in rooms.
Speaker BBut because electricity was so unreliable and could be a fire source, they built that out of plaster and then painted the wood grain on it to make it look like it was white oak.
Speaker BSo there's a lot of cool details like this that happened inside this house.
Speaker BIt even had a working refrigerator and a refrigerator room that they had cooled water going in to keep this room cold.
Speaker BSo it was really top of the line for 1914.
Speaker BAnd it's cool because it's open to the public.
Speaker BThe people of Portland saved it before it got torn down.
Speaker BA massive mansion.
Speaker BAnd we got to go have a lot of fun with that.
Speaker BSo make sure you check us out on social media or on the around the House online page.
Speaker BI'll put it up there for you so you can take a look at it.
Speaker BBut it is something that is a masterpiece that if you're in the Pacific Northwest, you're visiting, you can go check it out.
Speaker BAnd they do tours almost every day, so that's a cool thing with that.
Speaker BAll right, guys, now let's get back to our conversation here with Clyde Lewis from ground Zero, and we're going to continue this Wayback Machine Halloween episode with Clyde.
Speaker BLet's get to it.
Speaker AWe're going to go to Edin Portland.
Speaker AJust a second here, But I do want to give David one more try here.
Speaker AWelcome back to around the House.
Speaker AWe dropped you here a second ago.
Speaker AAre you still with us, David?
GYes.
Speaker AThanks, man.
Speaker AAll right, so Saigon Magus, right?
GYeah.
GAnyway, I don't remember where it was cut off.
GSo, anyway, went down to the fridge, saw movement out of the corner of my.
GAnd I investigated, and it looked like a couple of little maggots.
GSo I enlarged the hole in the wall, and they flooded out.
GI've done some research on the area, and there was a pitched battle there in 72 or 73, the battle for Saigon.
GAnd so I got kind of weirded out.
GI was kind of Zen with it, but I put my wife and the kid up in a hotel, and when they came to to strip the wall out, no one was there except for our maid.
GAnd she told me that instead of it being a rat or something, someone had lost part of their hand while building the place.
GAnd that was like a month before this.
Clyde LewisAnd they just left it in the wall for the maggots to eat it.
GYeah.
GSo how about that?
Clyde LewisHey, I saw something you wrote in the news the other day that somebody was stripping a wall.
Clyde LewisThey were looking through a building, and they were trying to strip a wall.
Clyde LewisThey stripped it away.
Clyde LewisAnd human teeth, A whole pile of human teeth came out.
Speaker AThat's not good.
Clyde LewisI don't know what the hell that's about.
FYeah.
Clyde LewisHow do you have A whole wall full of human teeth.
Clyde LewisI've heard back in the day, old homes where.
Clyde LewisRemember the old steel razor blades?
Speaker AOh, yeah.
Clyde LewisThey had this little place where you could dump the razor blades in the.
Speaker BWall a million times.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHundreds of times.
Clyde LewisYou know, you extracting that saying what?
Clyde LewisBecause they used to put this.
Clyde LewisThey use just a dispenser.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisWhere you put the steel razor blades in between the walls.
Clyde LewisI don't know what that's about.
EWhy?
Speaker AWell, no, there were medicine cabinets out there that had little things.
Speaker AYou could just drop it in there.
Speaker BAnd just went into the wall cavity.
Speaker AAnd disappeared and disappeared.
Speaker BYeah, and they just.
Speaker AI guess they just figured that by the time you got that thing filled.
Speaker BUp, you know, you got 100 years.
Speaker AOf razor blades in there.
Speaker BNobody ever thought about it.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker AYeah, I've opened up walls and seen five pounds of razor blades in there.
Clyde LewisThat's insane.
Clyde LewisYeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker ADavid.
Speaker ASorry, man.
Speaker AThat.
Speaker AThat's a bummer.
GYeah, it just kind of sit with a Halloween theme.
GI thought the place was haunted or something, and it just turned out to be part of the hand.
Clyde LewisOh, my gosh.
Speaker AWow.
GAnyway, I took care of it with some DDT before they came in and stripped the wall.
GBut thanks for taking my call, folks.
Speaker ADavid, thanks for calling us back.
Speaker AThanks for listening.
Speaker AThanks for calling back, man.
Speaker ALet's give that guy a hand.
Clyde LewisWe're here all night.
Speaker ALet's run out to Ed in Portland.
Speaker AWelcome to around the House.
Speaker AThanks for waiting.
EHello.
EYeah.
Clyde LewisLet's see.
EI'm a painter here in Portland, and one time I was at this one.
EHow this one.
EOh, I guess the house was built in about 1850.
EI was stripping off the wallpaper, and then I took a couple pictures of my job after that, and I saw a whole bunch of orbs or bfs around, you know, and then about.
EOh, I guess about a year later, I went back there, I.
EI dropped by the house again.
EThey turned it into a small office building, and I took a couple pictures of that.
EAnd when you zoom into the certain windows, you see a go go.
EYou see some ghostly figures in the picture.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisMost of the time when you're dealing with ghostly phenomena, a lot of people don't know what they're looking for.
Clyde LewisYou know, they're expecting to see something like you'd see in a movie.
Clyde LewisYou know, it's like, you know, you're not gonna be seeing like, what they saw in Ghost.
Speaker BYeah.
Clyde LewisPatrick Swayze is not gonna come out, make love to you while you're doing Pottery doesn't happen.
Speaker AIt does.
Speaker AThat'd be a weird little movie thing there.
Clyde LewisBut yeah, that's not by Patrick Swayze, Roadhouse.
Speaker AIt's its own awning.
Clyde LewisBut no, seriously, when you see the orbs, a lot of orbs mean that you're trying, actually whatever it is is trying to manifest because all the ghosts are little orbs all coming together to create this apparition.
Clyde LewisAnd we were talking about mirrors earlier and we were talking about how sometimes things can appear in mirrors.
Clyde LewisYou can use them to reflect back some sort of evil activity or even ghosts.
Clyde LewisWhat's really odd is the old term smoke and mirrors.
Clyde LewisWhenever you hear that, they say, ah, it's all smoke and mirrors.
Clyde LewisWell, the reason why they say that is because ghosts would appear in mirrors, they'd appear in smoke.
Clyde LewisAnd sometimes if you, you know, smoke can appear in the house.
Clyde LewisSometimes they appear as like a vortice, like a vortex, like a little mini tornado.
Clyde LewisThey look like that.
Clyde LewisI had a ghost in a kitchen one time, said, I will not sit down.
Clyde LewisPushed everything away and all the pots and pans fell.
Clyde LewisBut I saw this thing.
Clyde LewisIt just looked like some sort of a blue flame.
Clyde LewisIt would look like this flame is fluid in a way.
Clyde LewisYeah.
Clyde LewisA lot of people don't realize the flame seems very fluid when it, when it burns.
Clyde LewisSo I had this like fluidic type, watery, fiery type looking thing.
Clyde LewisIt's kind of like materializing, I mean, going away, just basically disappearing.
Clyde LewisI couldn't tell if it was male or female.
Clyde LewisI mean, I've seen full apparitions before.
Clyde LewisI've taken pictures of full apparitions.
Clyde LewisIn fact, there's a beautiful woman.
Clyde LewisWe were in a theater in Astoria where this woman appeared to me there.
Clyde LewisAnd I asked her if it'd be okay to take her picture.
Clyde LewisAnd when we did, I took it.
Clyde LewisAnd you could just see her hair and her shoulder.
Clyde LewisHer face wasn't really.
Clyde LewisYou couldn't see her face.
Clyde LewisIt was kind of clouded out.
Clyde LewisBut you can see your shoulder, you can see your hair.
Clyde LewisAnd it's not always perfect.
Clyde LewisApparitions aren't perfect.
Clyde LewisSo people always say, oh, it's pareidolia, which means that you're putting an image to it, like smoke or clouds or, you know, Jesus in a tortilla, that kind of thing.
Clyde LewisBut no, it does show up.
Clyde LewisAnd it is pretty amazing.
Clyde LewisAnd sometimes it shows up in your mirrors.
Clyde LewisIt sometimes shows up in smoke.
Clyde LewisI mean, people have seen them in many ways, but orbs are very popular.
Clyde LewisOrbs are seen more than anything else.
Speaker AThat's wild.
Speaker AHey, Ed, thanks for calling into around the House, man.
Speaker AWe really appreciate it.
Speaker AThanks for giving a call.
Speaker AThat's a great one right there.

Speaker BThis is my conversation that we had for two hours live on the radio with the one and only Clyde Lewis, the paranormal radio show host across the country.
Speaker BOne of the biggest names out there in that, respected by that entire community.
Speaker BAnd he came on the show for two hours, and we took a lot of calls with people talking about haunted houses and things that people experienced in their life and things that even I experienced.
Speaker BThis is going to wrap up in the middle of this segment here because we had a lot less We Had a lot more commercials back then than we do now.
Speaker BSo we're going to talk about some decorating tips for this week before those kids show up at your house.
Speaker BAnd I've got some ideas for you here as well that can make this a lot of fun.
Speaker BNow let's wrap this up with Clyde.
Speaker AWelcome back Clyde Lewis from the wonderful show Ground Zero.
Clyde LewisThank you.
Speaker AHe is heard worldwide, all over, based out of this station here.
Speaker ASo he is usually over on this side of the microphone.
Speaker AHe's over where?
Clyde LewisJust remember what sign is on the left.
Speaker AExactly.
Speaker AHe's got the chair over in the corner, which is a very unusual spot for him.
Speaker AWell, we've been talking great stories.
Speaker AI mean, I've had my stories.
Speaker AWhat is your most memorable story that you kind of ghost thing that was.
Speaker AYou're probably the one that sticks to you the most.
Clyde LewisI was attacked by the Zodiac Killer in Martinez, California.
Clyde LewisGoes to the Zodiac Killer.
Clyde LewisI was at the Martinez Gazette.
Clyde LewisWe were called actually, to show up there to do a ghost hunt.
Clyde LewisThey wanted to broadcast it live.
Clyde LewisWe were on serious radio at the time.
Clyde LewisAnd I went there.
Clyde LewisI was just out of the hospital with cancer surgery, actually.
Speaker BOh, wow.
Clyde LewisSo it was like, what, about three or four months?
Clyde LewisI fell up to going on this trip, and still a little weakened, but of course, I went on the trip, no problem.
Clyde LewisAnd we went to this place, the Martinez Gazette, where the guy named Richard Gauski was an editor there.
Clyde LewisAnd apparently they thought that he was one of the guys that could have been the Zodiac Killer.
Clyde LewisAnd he died.
Clyde LewisAnd they were saying that his ghost was haunting the Martinez Gazette.
Clyde LewisAnd so it's kind of like, okay, we'll see what this guy's like.
Clyde LewisYou know, I always end up doing the serial killer stuff.
Clyde LewisI just did a thing last night with a.
Clyde LewisWith a Ouija board that was made by a serial killer.
Clyde LewisSo anyway, wow.
Clyde LewisWe're there, and I'm on the air, and all of a sudden I was interviewing this woman.
Clyde LewisShe just busted out crying right in front of me.
Clyde LewisShe wouldn't stop crying.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisAnd I asked her, I said, you okay?
Clyde LewisAnd she says, he's here, he's here.
Clyde LewisWalked away from my show.
Clyde LewisSo I'm sitting here going, what do I do now?
Speaker AYeah, what now?
Clyde LewisI was gonna interview you.
Clyde LewisYou're crying and you walk away, and I'm sitting there alone.
Clyde LewisAnd so we had ghost hunters all around, you know, doing investigations and stuff.
Clyde LewisAnd one of the ghost hunters says, what, you pick on women?
Clyde LewisYou know, he started swearing at it.
Clyde LewisYou're picking on women like that, you know, come after me, guy come after me.
Clyde LewisAnd so instead of coming after him.
Speaker AOne after the weak one, I just.
Clyde LewisGot out of surgery.
Clyde LewisI had surgery.
Clyde LewisAnd so I'm sitting there on the air, and all of a sudden I feel my throat closing up.
Speaker AWhoa.
Clyde LewisOn the air.
Clyde LewisI couldn't breathe.
Clyde LewisAnd I'm.
Clyde LewisI'm.
Clyde LewisI'm like.
Clyde LewisIt's kind of freaking out because I've never had this feeling before, and I feel on air.
Clyde LewisWell, at first I'm thinking I'm having a panic attack, but I've never had a panic attack.
Clyde LewisYou know, years.
Clyde LewisI mean, it's been years.
Clyde LewisAnd I'm thinking I'm having a panic attack.
Clyde LewisAnd also I start bawling on the air.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisAnd it's because of the fact, not that I was scared of whatever it is that was happening to me, I thought to myself, I'm not going to be able to say goodbye to my wife.
Clyde LewisI said, if I'm dying, you know, yeah, I just had cancer surgery.
Clyde LewisAnd this is where I'm going to die in Martinez, California, honey.
Clyde LewisThe Zodiac Killer.
Speaker BYeah.
Clyde LewisSo I'm thinking to myself, I'm gonna die here.
Clyde LewisAnd my wife, I didn't have a chance to say goodbye to her.
Clyde LewisI didn't have a chance.
Clyde LewisI love you, nothing.
Clyde LewisAnd that's what I was crying about.
Clyde LewisBut it was so bad because then when it started attacking me, my entire body felt like it was being overcome by something.
Clyde LewisI had to run outside.
Clyde LewisAnd I remember my wife once told me, if you feel like you're losing control, take your shoes off, walk through the mud.
Clyde LewisYou're grounding yourself to the earth.
Clyde LewisSo I took my shoes off.
Clyde LewisIt was a nice wet and muddy area near a tree.
Clyde LewisI held under the tree and barfed my guts out.
Clyde LewisWow.
Clyde LewisJust barfing my guts out.
Clyde LewisAnd it was funny because then I went back and I did the rest of the show, but I was sick and weak.
Clyde LewisWent back to the hotel.
Clyde LewisThe whole night I was in the bathroom.
Clyde LewisThis whole night in the bathroom, everything was just.
Speaker AYour body was just destroyed.
Clyde LewisYeah, just destroyed by whatever this thing was.
Clyde LewisAnd, like, everybody's, like, celebrating.
Clyde LewisSaid, that was a great ghost hunt and everything.
Clyde LewisThey're eating, like, hamburgers and everything.
Clyde LewisI settled for just having a Diet Coke and going home and going to bed.
Clyde LewisAnd the next day, of course, we went to Benihana.
Clyde LewisAnd I felt better because it was good food, but I was just like, my God, I don't know what happened to me, but it was the worst thing that's ever happened to me and it ended me off honest.
Clyde LewisI haven't really been on a ghost hunt since then.
Clyde LewisI mean I, I've been offered to go on ghost hunts but I kind of avoided them.
Clyde LewisBut yeah, I, I, it, it's not that I don't want to go on a ghost hunt, it's just that I'm, I'm too old now, I don't think.
Clyde LewisI mean, last thing I did is I went to Vashon island to look at.
Clyde LewisOh actually I went to Damari island looking at the Mare Island UFO case.
Clyde LewisI actually almost, I, I actually twisted my leg on some driftwood and I had to get almost flown out in a helicopter.
Clyde LewisSo I thought, nah, I, I just rather, rather have the young people go do this stuff.
Clyde LewisI don't think I'll do it anymore.
Clyde LewisI'd rather just officiate rather than do it.
Speaker ANice.
Speaker ASo 30 seconds, what's the best before we're out of the show here, what's.
Speaker BThe best way to people listen to you on Ground zero?
Clyde LewisGround zero seven to midnight.
Clyde LewisWe're also heard on listen to ground zero.com they're on podcast called Ground Zero Aftermath which is basically a site dedicated to all things ground zero.
Clyde LewisStudying, researching.
Clyde LewisIt's gonna be a research pod.
Speaker BNice.
Clyde LewisWe're gonna open that up probably next month.
Speaker ANice Clyde, thanks for coming in man.
Speaker AWe really appreciate it.
Speaker BA special thanks to Clyde and his crew for coming on around the house show back then and hopefully we'll do something like this the future again and try to pull something off like this where it's a live two hour show like that because that was just a lot of fun to explore into that.
Speaker BSomething I'd never done before, a special thing.
Speaker BIf you want to find out more about Clyde, head over toGround Zero media.org and you can find out more about them.
Speaker BThey have a massive back catalog over there and you can go in there, they've got premium memberships, they've got things like that, they have got a deep catalog and you can catch them on your favorite radio station across the country and your favorite podcast player.
Speaker BSo those guys are great out there.
Speaker BSo check out Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis.
Speaker BNow I wanted to give some decorating tips here because there is some fun stuff you can have.
Speaker BAnd as a kid back in the 70s and 80s, I know I'm going to date myself here, but you know something, we had a lot of fun decorating back then and we would go all out, my parents would let Us do this.
Speaker BThey played, had as much fun as we did.
Speaker BSo we had one of those 70s mailboxes where you could reach through the door and put the mail slot and it would drop into.
Speaker BActually it was not through a door, through the side of the house and dropped down into a box.
Speaker BSo what we did is we would put it where kids could reach down into that.
Speaker BWe'd put candy there.
Speaker BBut as a kid, I could stick my hand up there and I could put a glove on and grab their hand as they grab into the candy from underneath the candy.
Speaker BIt was so funny.
Speaker BWe would scare so many kids.
Speaker BWe would sit there and put a lot of effort in.
Speaker BBut the thing now is you can do so much with technology now.
Speaker BIt can be super simple.
Speaker BYou can jump on and buy some music or, you know, play a haunted playlist off of Spotify or your favorite streaming player.
Speaker BAnd you could play this music and put out a couple of those, you know, those hidden speakers up in a tree or any one of those wireless Bluetooth like the little JBLs or whatever you have.
Speaker BJust make sure you put in a spot where a kid can't steal it or nobody else can mess with it.
Speaker BBut if you put it up someplace a little high and you know, zip ties and some things like that, you can really make it spooky.
Speaker BAnd just a few pounds of dry ice and some water and just going out and playing with that, you don't have to go rent a fog machine.
Speaker BYou can make this really fun and really simple.
Speaker BAnd with LED lights, there's so many things you can do to the front of your house to make it look really, really spooky.
Speaker BAnd that can be really fun to have that grand house in the neighborhood where the trick or treaters are going.
Speaker BNow I would probably still be doing this, but I'm on a busy enough street right here.
Speaker BAnd we've got blocks over from my house that are million dollar houses that mine isn't.
Speaker BThere's.
Speaker BThat's where the kids go because that's where they can go over there and get the full size candy bars and all that stuff.
Speaker BYou know how it works in the neighborhood.
Speaker BThose little nicer areas are where the kids all roll into because they get the, the full size candy bars, the Hot Wheels or whatever they're getting over there.
Speaker BSo we only get one or two.
Speaker BSo it's not worth all the effort for that one trick or treater we get.
Speaker BBut it's something you can have a lot of fun with.
Speaker BWell, I want to thank everybody for joining me today in our Way Back episode here, a remastering of our episode with Clyde Lewis a number of years ago.
Speaker BAnd we had a lot of fun doing this today.
Speaker BThanks for tuning in.
