Speaker:

Welcome to the Peak

Speaker:

Revival Podcast.

Speaker:

My name is Vesna and I want to

Speaker:

talk about what if everything

Speaker:

you've learned about self

Speaker:

improvement was wrong?

Speaker:

When we struggle to have, be,

Speaker:

do, or live the way that we

Speaker:

want, well initially we can

Speaker:

be like, the strategy isn't

Speaker:

the right strategy, or we're

Speaker:

not doing the right things.

Speaker:

But essentially we, we

Speaker:

get to this place of,

Speaker:

I'm not good enough,

Speaker:

I'm not smart enough,

Speaker:

I'm not

Speaker:

talented enough,

Speaker:

I'm not rich enough

Speaker:

I'm not something

Speaker:

enough, right?

Speaker:

And if you've been following

Speaker:

me for any length of time,

Speaker:

you probably realize my

Speaker:

message about health and

Speaker:

life points to the fact

Speaker:

that That is an illusion.

Speaker:

from that place, when we look

Speaker:

at ourselves not being enough,

Speaker:

we are filled with judgment

Speaker:

and criticism and we make

Speaker:

ourselves feel powerless.

Speaker:

And I believe we are much

Speaker:

more powerful than what we

Speaker:

realize and we have this

Speaker:

untapped potential and in

Speaker:

moments of challenges or

Speaker:

disasters or crises we are

Speaker:

able to draw on that untapped

Speaker:

potential and really kind

Speaker:

of rise to another level and

Speaker:

see what we're capable of.

Speaker:

But most teachings tell

Speaker:

us to do more and be more

Speaker:

or be different to what we

Speaker:

are but not to see more.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And that's really what I want

Speaker:

to talk about in this video.

Speaker:

you know, in the last

Speaker:

podcast I talked about.

Speaker:

relying on another element

Speaker:

in achieving our goals.

Speaker:

And I did share a story

Speaker:

about when I was struggling

Speaker:

initially in my business.

Speaker:

And so when I was in this

Speaker:

financial struggle years ago,

Speaker:

well, initially I thought I

Speaker:

didn't have the right business

Speaker:

strategy, so I employed

Speaker:

business coaches to help me.

Speaker:

But pretty soon after that,

Speaker:

I could, I was starting to

Speaker:

see, well, All these other

Speaker:

people, they're, they're

Speaker:

doing the strategies.

Speaker:

They are successful,

Speaker:

but I'm not.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So then it'd be, you

Speaker:

know, I turned inwards.

Speaker:

It was like a personal floor.

Speaker:

It was something with

Speaker:

my personality, right?

Speaker:

I wasn't enough.

Speaker:

I wasn't good enough.

Speaker:

I wasn't doing it right.

Speaker:

I did all these things

Speaker:

to fix myself and my.

Speaker:

personality, my flaws

Speaker:

and the areas where

Speaker:

it wasn't good enough.

Speaker:

I did affirmations.

Speaker:

I did tapping on

Speaker:

my money blocks.

Speaker:

I remember one night very

Speaker:

late on a Friday night,

Speaker:

it was me and a friend.

Speaker:

We're working in a coworking

Speaker:

space and we decided that,

Speaker:

we had money blocks, right?

Speaker:

That's the reason why we

Speaker:

weren't making the money

Speaker:

that we wanted to, right?

Speaker:

We weren't making

Speaker:

enough to even survive.

Speaker:

And so we thought, okay,

Speaker:

we're going to, you

Speaker:

know, we're going to

Speaker:

tap on our money blocks.

Speaker:

And here we are at

Speaker:

like nine o'clock or

Speaker:

eight at nine o'clock

Speaker:

at night in a coworking

Speaker:

space and the cleaners

Speaker:

are around us cleaning.

Speaker:

It's just the two of

Speaker:

us like tapping on our

Speaker:

money blocks, right?

Speaker:

Because we thought that we

Speaker:

had some belief or some block

Speaker:

that was holding us back from,

Speaker:

being where we want it to be.

Speaker:

It's pretty funny in

Speaker:

hindsight, but I'm not

Speaker:

saying that any of those

Speaker:

things are wrong, by the

Speaker:

way, what I do want to

Speaker:

point to is that we have.

Speaker:

More tools at our disposal,

Speaker:

and it's not about a lack

Speaker:

or belief blocking us.

Speaker:

And if it is, we have other

Speaker:

tools to help uncover that

Speaker:

and remove that really easily.

Speaker:

So not only at that time,

Speaker:

because in that way of

Speaker:

thinking for me, I really did

Speaker:

believe that, Because self

Speaker:

development does get you to

Speaker:

look at where you need to

Speaker:

maybe even upskill, right?

Speaker:

So I thought I was not

Speaker:

that good at relationships,

Speaker:

and then I was not that

Speaker:

good at dating, and so

Speaker:

there was a skill issue

Speaker:

there I needed to upskill.

Speaker:

And as you can see, all

Speaker:

of these things that I'm

Speaker:

pointing to are looking at.

Speaker:

Ways in which I'm

Speaker:

not enough, right?

Speaker:

I'm missing something.

Speaker:

Okay?

Speaker:

And It's very

Speaker:

rarely about that.

Speaker:

So, personal development,

Speaker:

in my experience, points

Speaker:

to lack that you have to

Speaker:

do hard work to change your

Speaker:

beliefs, change your habits,

Speaker:

change your behaviors.

Speaker:

You've gotta be on

Speaker:

it all the time.

Speaker:

You've gotta change

Speaker:

your thinking to

Speaker:

change your life, okay?

Speaker:

Be positive in your thoughts.

Speaker:

Analyze your beliefs,

Speaker:

break them down.

Speaker:

I certainly did a lot

Speaker:

of work around that.

Speaker:

I spent.

Speaker:

Lots of journals going

Speaker:

through beliefs, right?

Speaker:

And all it does, it makes

Speaker:

you hypervigilant on your

Speaker:

thinking and on your beliefs.

Speaker:

It makes you more

Speaker:

self conscious.

Speaker:

It makes you more in a

Speaker:

focused or obsessed or

Speaker:

self absorbed, right?

Speaker:

And it's overwhelming.

Speaker:

It's a lot of work

Speaker:

to be looking in, and

Speaker:

it's not really going

Speaker:

to move you ahead.

Speaker:

Now I'm not saying not

Speaker:

to have any kind of

Speaker:

personal awareness, right?

Speaker:

That's not what I'm saying.

Speaker:

But what I am saying is

Speaker:

that You know, if we're

Speaker:

going too deep into looking

Speaker:

at our thinking and, you

Speaker:

know, looking at where

Speaker:

we're lacking, we're

Speaker:

missing the bigger picture.

Speaker:

Because I can guarantee you,

Speaker:

there are people out there

Speaker:

who are doing what you want to

Speaker:

do and have what you want to

Speaker:

have in their life, but they

Speaker:

have personal flaws, they have

Speaker:

personality flaws, they don't

Speaker:

have the talent or the skills

Speaker:

or whatever it is that you

Speaker:

think that you need to have.

Speaker:

I can guarantee you of that.

Speaker:

Okay?

Speaker:

So I've found that approach

Speaker:

to personal development

Speaker:

not very effective, right?

Speaker:

So if I'm going to see that

Speaker:

I'm lacking in something,

Speaker:

that I'm always going to be

Speaker:

Finding another way to work

Speaker:

on myself, finding another

Speaker:

skill that I have to learn,

Speaker:

and doing all these things,

Speaker:

and it places more attention

Speaker:

on our flaws, and If we do

Speaker:

that, we feel worse, right?

Speaker:

We don't feel good when

Speaker:

we're focusing on our flaws.

Speaker:

And the worse you feel,

Speaker:

we're not doing our

Speaker:

best in our life, okay?

Speaker:

If your mood's really low

Speaker:

and, and you're focusing

Speaker:

on all the bad things in

Speaker:

your life, and all the

Speaker:

bad things that you have

Speaker:

about yourself, you're not

Speaker:

really going to be confident

Speaker:

and working at your best.

Speaker:

But when we feel good, we

Speaker:

create better relationships.

Speaker:

We have, make better

Speaker:

health choices even,

Speaker:

right, when we feel good.

Speaker:

We have, better working teams.

Speaker:

our business will make more

Speaker:

money like all of this occurs

Speaker:

from a place of feeling good.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So the idea is not to feel

Speaker:

bad, but we want to feel good

Speaker:

and we're focusing on our

Speaker:

flaws and we all have them.

Speaker:

We're just not going

Speaker:

to feel good, right?

Speaker:

It's really basic.

Speaker:

It's not rocket science.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Anything that makes

Speaker:

us feel good makes us

Speaker:

perform at our best.

Speaker:

So what really moves the

Speaker:

needle in helping us either

Speaker:

have the ideas that we need to

Speaker:

have to make the breakthrough

Speaker:

in our life, to create the

Speaker:

change, even to create a

Speaker:

change in our behaviour.

Speaker:

So often we look at

Speaker:

changing our behaviours

Speaker:

is using, constant

Speaker:

willpower, this constant

Speaker:

efforting every single day

Speaker:

to maintain our habits.

Speaker:

But until we have a shift

Speaker:

with insights, until we

Speaker:

have an internal shift, it's

Speaker:

going to be very hard for us

Speaker:

to maintain any new habits.

Speaker:

And what I mean is that

Speaker:

Insights are what we have.

Speaker:

They are built into us and

Speaker:

it's kind of like those

Speaker:

moments where you could call

Speaker:

it intuition or you could

Speaker:

call it insights, but you

Speaker:

see a higher perspective.

Speaker:

You see things differently.

Speaker:

You get a fresh perspective

Speaker:

on things, right?

Speaker:

And it could look like an aha

Speaker:

moment or anything like that.

Speaker:

So, you know, I talked about

Speaker:

in the last podcast that I

Speaker:

had one insight that changed

Speaker:

my, Business life and my

Speaker:

life very, very quickly.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And so if I was looking

Speaker:

to, get the results that

Speaker:

I did without the insight.

Speaker:

It would have been a lot of

Speaker:

hard work and I honestly don't

Speaker:

know how much longer I would

Speaker:

have been stuck in that place.

Speaker:

And so my insight was with my

Speaker:

business that not everything

Speaker:

you do is going to work out.

Speaker:

It's really basic

Speaker:

insight, but I heard it

Speaker:

on another level, right?

Speaker:

It's like when that was said,

Speaker:

everything in my brain just

Speaker:

kind of slotted into place.

Speaker:

I don't know how

Speaker:

to describe it.

Speaker:

It's just, it was like a,

Speaker:

like a light bulb moment.

Speaker:

And I went, Oh, that

Speaker:

makes so much sense.

Speaker:

Now I can see why I'm

Speaker:

not getting the results.

Speaker:

Okay, and it's that level of

Speaker:

awareness that makes change

Speaker:

seem almost effortless.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

you know, had clients over

Speaker:

the years, you know, I had

Speaker:

this woman, she was a, a

Speaker:

long term chronic smoker.

Speaker:

And she would have smoked

Speaker:

for about 30 years.

Speaker:

And she went to a seminar, she

Speaker:

had an insight, and she came

Speaker:

home and told her family, I

Speaker:

am never going to smoke again.

Speaker:

Like, I absolutely know I'm

Speaker:

never going to smoke again.

Speaker:

And her family were

Speaker:

like, That's crazy.

Speaker:

Like you've been, that's

Speaker:

never going to happen, right?

Speaker:

And then she started

Speaker:

to doubt herself and

Speaker:

doubt her insights.

Speaker:

She did actually maintain and

Speaker:

be a non smoker because her

Speaker:

insight, she had a revelation

Speaker:

in that seminar, loosened

Speaker:

the grip of the addiction.

Speaker:

Okay, so she didn't

Speaker:

have to control her

Speaker:

behavior the next day.

Speaker:

She didn't have to

Speaker:

remind herself every day.

Speaker:

Okay, just don't smoke,

Speaker:

just distract myself,

Speaker:

keep myself busy, do

Speaker:

whatever it is, right?

Speaker:

Her brain had already switched

Speaker:

into her being a non smoker.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Through that insight.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

The things that had kept

Speaker:

compelling her to smoke

Speaker:

were gone with an insight.

Speaker:

So that's kind of what

Speaker:

I'm talking about.

Speaker:

Insights help to

Speaker:

really the way to make

Speaker:

change much easier.

Speaker:

We hope it helps us to

Speaker:

find the way and it.

Speaker:

it helps to make it easier for

Speaker:

us to implement that change.

Speaker:

So there isn't struggle

Speaker:

associated with it.

Speaker:

So that's why I think

Speaker:

that, this idea that we

Speaker:

need to struggle to make

Speaker:

these changes is just

Speaker:

missing the mark, right?

Speaker:

It's just, yes, we struggle

Speaker:

when we don't have an insight.

Speaker:

And so we can either decide

Speaker:

to rely on our intellect or

Speaker:

we can rely on our insights.

Speaker:

And intellect is, you know,

Speaker:

if you're worried about

Speaker:

something that's happening

Speaker:

in your life Or you need to

Speaker:

make a change or you need

Speaker:

to make a business decision.

Speaker:

You don't know what to do.

Speaker:

You don't know what the

Speaker:

right thing is to do.

Speaker:

And often we rely on our

Speaker:

intellect, which is not as

Speaker:

good as an insight because

Speaker:

our intellect, we're going

Speaker:

to make the same decisions

Speaker:

that we always make, right?

Speaker:

We're only going to draw

Speaker:

on our previous experience.

Speaker:

We say we, you know, our

Speaker:

previous experience, we

Speaker:

got to level five and all

Speaker:

of our decisions will be

Speaker:

based along level five,

Speaker:

if that makes sense.

Speaker:

But an insight will

Speaker:

take you to level 100.

Speaker:

And we can't think along those

Speaker:

lines because we never have.

Speaker:

And so our insights will

Speaker:

give us much more traction

Speaker:

and much more growth and

Speaker:

much more transformation

Speaker:

and much more change than

Speaker:

our intellect ever will.

Speaker:

So, but the problem is we

Speaker:

rely too much by worrying

Speaker:

and overanalyzing and

Speaker:

overthinking things.

Speaker:

So I love a quote

Speaker:

by Nikola Tesla.

Speaker:

Nikola Tesla understood more

Speaker:

about electricity and the

Speaker:

earth and energy than anybody

Speaker:

else, I think, still today.

Speaker:

And he had this

Speaker:

quote which I love.

Speaker:

He said, My brain

Speaker:

is only a receiver.

Speaker:

In the universe there

Speaker:

is a core from which

Speaker:

we obtain knowledge,

Speaker:

strength and inspiration.

Speaker:

He said, I have not penetrated

Speaker:

into the secrets of this core,

Speaker:

but I know that it exists.

Speaker:

And, you know, we have an

Speaker:

intelligence behind our life.

Speaker:

We have an intelligence

Speaker:

that runs the human body.

Speaker:

When you think about it,

Speaker:

when we cut ourselves,

Speaker:

our immune system gets

Speaker:

to work so automatically.

Speaker:

We're not sitting there

Speaker:

thinking that we should

Speaker:

do these things, right?

Speaker:

We're not going to bed at

Speaker:

night and hoping and keeping

Speaker:

ourselves awake so we can

Speaker:

remember to breathe or we

Speaker:

can keep our heart pumping.

Speaker:

You know, you're not

Speaker:

digesting your food right now.

Speaker:

It's happening.

Speaker:

All by itself.

Speaker:

And there is an intelligence

Speaker:

that runs all of that and that

Speaker:

same intelligence is there

Speaker:

to guide us through our life.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

When we learn to rely on

Speaker:

it, you know, in the last

Speaker:

podcast I talked about,

Speaker:

Price Pritchard said,

Speaker:

rely on unseen forces.

Speaker:

And this is the

Speaker:

same thing, right?

Speaker:

This unseen intelligence

Speaker:

that is guiding us through

Speaker:

insights, which are built

Speaker:

into us to guide our life.

Speaker:

That's what they're there for.

Speaker:

So if you're stuck anywhere in

Speaker:

your goals, or in your life,

Speaker:

or in your business, in your

Speaker:

health, in your relationships,

Speaker:

in your family, within your

Speaker:

community, then look for an

Speaker:

insight, Really kind of keep

Speaker:

your mind as quiet as you can

Speaker:

until you get that insight

Speaker:

because once you get it It

Speaker:

really the best place to get

Speaker:

an insight is through a quiet

Speaker:

mind Okay, so when you're

Speaker:

busy trying to figure things

Speaker:

out, which is what I was

Speaker:

doing years ago It really kept

Speaker:

me stuck for a lot longer.

Speaker:

Okay, I didn't know it then

Speaker:

I didn't understand that

Speaker:

then but I certainly did

Speaker:

afterwards that When I can

Speaker:

feel my mind's state I'm

Speaker:

spinning on a problem that I

Speaker:

can't find a resolution to.

Speaker:

I need an insight.

Speaker:

There's nothing else is

Speaker:

going to move me forward.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And then I have to pull

Speaker:

back and really trust

Speaker:

that that insight will

Speaker:

show up, which it will in

Speaker:

a quieter state of mind.

Speaker:

Okay, so look at what is

Speaker:

happening and where you're

Speaker:

stuck right now and how

Speaker:

could you, what could you

Speaker:

do in order to kind of have

Speaker:

faith that an insight is

Speaker:

what you need to move you

Speaker:

forward or share below in

Speaker:

the comments, what insights

Speaker:

have you had that have

Speaker:

really made a significant

Speaker:

change in your life that felt

Speaker:

almost effortless, right?

Speaker:

Felt like you didn't have

Speaker:

to make this big decision

Speaker:

and it wasn't hard and it

Speaker:

wasn't hard to implement.

Speaker:

What insight did you have

Speaker:

that was really bit of

Speaker:

a life changing moment.

Speaker:

Let me know in your

Speaker:

comments below.
