We're gonna do something very, very interesting.

We are gonna talk today about what the heck goes on in this

Get on camera Facebook group.

'cause we've got so many new people.

I thought this was the perfect time to share that and then refresh it.

For those of you that have been here a while, so you ready?

Okay, so lots of new folks have joined this get on camera Facebook

group, mostly for the Go Live challenge, which happened last week.

So what I wanted to do is spend some time today and just run through

how things work inside this group.

What are the different ways that I can get involved, that you can get involved?

Um, what are the rules?

What are the guidelines?

It's, it's, it's really just about, Um, continuing the fun and the, the

learning that we had in the get on or on the Go Live challenge, how does that

continue in here during like normal non-training times or non challenge times?

Okay, so first of all, what I wanna share is that those of you,

I've gotten a number of, of, um, questions about, can I still finish?

Yes.

If you want, if you only went live two or three times, or maybe you only went

live once and you wanna go through and use all the topic prompts, do it.

If you wanna take all months.

To do it, go for it, and I'll be here cheering you on watching

your videos the whole way through.

Okay.

The one call out that I will make is that today is the last day for the

videos, the workbooks and the Zoom calls.

All three of those things are gonna be pulled down tomorrow morning.

Um, and I, I know some of you have said, will you please extend, I can't

extend because I gotta honor the people who, um, purchased the v i p

upgrade for the Go Live challenge.

Um, and so I'm being.

I'm being respectful of them.

So all of those things will come down first thing tomorrow morning.

So what I would tell you is this, um, Prioritize watching those, those

videos, the, the four 10 minute videos.

Day one, day two, day three, day four, where you actually learning something.

Watch those videos, download the workbooks, do that.

If nothing else, do that.

Um, you should have received an email from me on Saturday with all of those links.

Or you can go to the guys and you can find 'em all.

So that's what I would say.

Prioritize that.

If you have time and you wanna get to the Zoom calls, there's no way you're gonna

be able to watch all four Zoom calls.

Today plus do all of that all before all of it goes away.

So what I would tell you to do is scan the timestamp.

Each of those Zoom calls has a timestamp where every single topic we

cover and, and what time it was at.

So you can fast forward to the different sections where you,

you want it to be, okay, or what, what interests you basically.

So, um, that's what I would say those were included in the Saturday

email that you got as well.

Okay.

Um, the other question, um, that I've gotten is, can I,

can I go live on other stuff?

Like we've talked about continuing the Go Live challenge, but I finished

the Go Live challenge and now what I wanna, I wanna talk about other stuff.

So here are the rules.

Um, you can go live in this group.

There are a number of different opportunities to do that.

There are three kind of rules, if you will.

I don't like the word rules 'cause that seems so, uh, but we're gonna call

'em rules for lack of another word.

Okay.

So number one is that every week I'm gonna give you a topic prompt every

Monday, just like we did in the challenge.

So those topic prompts are suggestions, ideas, thoughts for what

you could go live and talk about.

So as long as you are talking about that subject matter, you can go live

anytime this week on that topic.

That's number one.

Number two, anytime that you want to practice something you are learning.

So if on these Tuesday trainings you are learning how to do something

and you wanna go live and you wanna practice, great, do it.

If you're just practicing anything that we've learned in at any point in time,

like I wanna practice my hook, I'm just practicing my story, you can go live

anytime you want, as long as you either say, Hey, I'm practicing in your video.

Or in the description with your video, you say, I'm practicing my hook.

Okay.

So as long as it's practice, you can go live again.

And then the last time, the third thing or the third thing,

that's a very technical term.

The third thing, um, is on Wednesdays.

So every Wednesday we welcome new members into this group.

Don't worry.

Those of you that have joined over the challenge, you're gonna get a big welcome.

Um, this Wednesday's gonna be a long list.

Um, you can go live on Wednesday and introduce yourself.

So it's a great opportunity for you to say, here's who I am and what

I do, and go live and share that.

And anyone can go live on Wednesday and do that.

'cause you're introducing yourself to the new members in the group.

'cause I know, uh, a number of you, um, Have asked me recently, is it

okay if I post this or, um, you'll, you'll actually message me something

fun and I'll say, Ooh, post that in the group, and you'll answer back and

go, can I, can I post in the group?

Yes.

Yes, you can post in the group.

Um, as long as it's relevant.

Or inspirational or funny, those are the rules, right?

If it's relevant, meaning it somehow ties into video visibility going

live, um, that kind of thing.

Or, or it's a quote that maybe inspires people to do those things

or just inspires people to, um, be the best that they can be.

You can share posts.

You can create your own posts.

As long as it's relevant, you can do it.

Um, I gave this to somebody last week and it was very helpful.

Um, they were a website designer, so bear with that.

'cause I know that doesn't necessarily apply to you, but you might want

to post a question like, you know, the color block with the question.

And, and, and it might be, do you have a website that is not relevant, not

relevant to what we do inside this group.

This group is all about going live, doing video, getting better on video,

dealing with your confidence, overcoming nerves, that kind of stuff, right?

Okay, so how could you change that color block post to make it relevant to video?

Do you use video on your website, or how important is video on your website?

It's still connected to you and what you do, but you're making it relevant to the

Like what can I expect every day in terms of posts that I can engage in?

So every day there is, Like a topic prompt or a, that's not the right word.

'cause I use that somewhere else.

Um, I'm gonna post every day at the same time every day.

And you can, um, you can, I'm just gonna run through the list.

How about that?

Okay, so Sunday, I need a calendar.

I need something visual.

I feel like I need to hold something up.

Um, I'm, by the way, all of these rules, the rules, I'm going live, the rules

I'm posting, uh, on and all of that.

They're in the rules of this group, so you can always find them there.

But I'm also gonna create two graphics and I'll pin those in inside the group.

So, 'cause you won't remember all of this, nobody remembers all this.

You're all in multiple groups.

So just know that that will happen.

I'll make it a little bit easier, okay?

Because doing 1, 2, 3, through the week, I'm gonna get to

seven and that gets confusing.

Sunday is goal setting, so there will always be a post on Sunday

About what goals do you set for yourself around video for the week.

Monday is when you'll get the topic prompt for the week Tuesday.

Is when we go live.

This is training day.

Tuesday is training day, same time, same place, but probably the

only post that you're gonna see on Tuesday is a reminder of that.

Okay, Wednesday is welcome.

Wednesday.

This is the chance to meet new people.

Welcome yourself.

Introduce yourself.

I already talked about that.

Thursday is improv.

This is a fun one.

So oftentimes people will say, um, how do I, I'm just not good at coming

up with how do I tie or come up with a story that ties into my business?

Practicing improv helps you develop that muscle.

Don't laugh at my muscles.

It, it's a skill that you have to learn.

And so every Thursday you're gonna get an improv and it's usually something silly.

It's like, alright, tie scissors into your business.

Oh, I might use that this week.

Should we use that one?

Let's use that one.

So your job is not to go live, not to do a video, but just comment

below and exercise that muscle.

And how do I turn, how do I connect this random item into my business?

I'm not even gonna help you with this one because you're

gonna have to think about it.

But, um, last, what, there was one, a couple weeks ago, we did

glitter pens, which I'm, I'm obsessed with glitter pens lately.

Um, and so a lot of people had some really awesome things about sparkling

and shine and, and tying those things in.

It is a muscle you have to develop.

So we do that every Thursday.

Friday is follow.

Friday.

This is an opportunity to post lakes.

Every Friday it's a different one.

I can't, I think this Friday is LinkedIn.

Um, I can't remember off the top of my head, but drop your LinkedIn and

follow other people on LinkedIn.

And every Friday we do a different, one different platform if you'll.

And then Saturday will be your wins for the week.

So Sunday is goal, Saturday is wins.

Okay, so that is the week in review in terms of posts.

Um, also for those of you that are new every Tuesday and

Thursday at 12 Central, I go live.

Um, Tuesday is training.

Thursday we obliterate obstacles.

So when you joined this group, you shared a video challenge.

I draw one, we solve it live on air.

It's all about getting rid of the things that are getting in your way.

Okay, so that's Thursday.

Every other Friday there is a guest expert that comes in and it's interview style and

it is a way to grow your business beyond just what we talk about most of the time.

Most of the time in here we're talking about videos and the beyond.

The camera is other things beyond video, thus the name beyond the camera.

Pretty cool.

Right?

I love it.

I love doing that show.

It's super fun.

Okay, one last thing and then, then I'm gonna pause and look at your comments.

Um, the, the wonderfully talented Sandy Bartlett is an expert in this group.

And once a month she does a live training as well.

Usually it's on something around, um, uh, confidence, um, or self-discovery.

'cause that is her space.

And it fits so nicely with what we do here because so many of you, um,

are wanting to build your confidence.

So watch for more from Sandy.

Um, Sandy and I are gonna do a joint live in August and we'll talk more about her

role and what you can expect from her, but I wanted you to know, 'cause you'll see

that from time to time and you might be like, who the heck is this expert, Sandy?

Um, and before you ask me, 'cause I know this is coming, how do I

get to be an expert in this group?

Um, here's what I'll say.

Right now, Sandy and I are kind of like, she's the Guinea pig and we

just had a call this morning about what else can we do and how does

this work and should we do this?

And so let us figure this out first and let's get, let, let

Sandy and I figure out the process.

But yes, I very much expect that there will be other opportunities for

those of you that have related and connecting businesses to be an expert.

Now if that just like crashed your goals 'cause you're

like, dang it, that's not me.

Um, I am gonna also have opportunities for moderators in this group.

And it's not just the boring moderators where they like approve and stuff,

but actually being a coach moderator in an upcoming go live challenge.

So if that's something of interest to you, Just let me know that you're

interested and we'll talk more about it.

I'm still figuring out the details, but just know that that's coming because we

had 108 people join the Go Live Challenge last week, and every time we do it, it

just gets bigger and bigger and bigger.

There's one call every week on something.

Um, and it's all about not just getting you better on video, but

helping you grow your business.

So we talk about networking, we talk about business, we

talk about all of those things.

is coming inside the Get on camera group?

Um, so I, a, a number of you have said we do the challenge, the Go live

challenge once a quarter, and it's a long time to wait in between challenges.

So we're gonna start doing some mini challenges.

They won't be as, As in depth, there'll be little short fun things that you can do.

Um, we're, I'm gonna try and do one a month, so that gets you some

additional, um, practice opportunities.

So we're actually gonna do one in at the end of August,

so, um, stay tuned for that.

Um, and I'm also gonna start doing workshops, so these

will be a little bit longer.

They will actually be in Zoom rather than on Facebook, but

we'll tackle some other stuff.

So what I found is, um, I did, um, I did a discount in July of 50% off one-on-ones.

And, um, I, I was, I was blown away at how many of those, one-on-ones

that once they actually got scheduled, um, didn't wanna talk necessarily

about video, but wanted to talk about how do I grow my Facebook group?

How do I get more engagement in my Facebook group?

How do I, um, do challenges like you do?

How do I figure out my social media?

How do I tie my video?

And it was, it was more businessy stuff.

Um, I'm gonna, my goal is to try and get one ready for you guys in August,

um, so that you guys can experience it.
