sore. Got a little mucus. Know it's

disgusting, but I'm drinking some hot coffee, and it's. It's kind

of helping out a little bit. Um, I know

we're about 10 days away from the chasing birdies,

too, man. We had to, uh, drop out. So we're at

But, yeah, dude, he, he, you know, he was pretty,

uh, adamant about not signing that autograph for that

kid.

>> RB: I have a great we story.

>> Speaker C: Um.

>> RB: Years ago, the, uh, real deal James Neil came to

McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Uh, meanwhile, he pulls up

and is, you know, $300,000

Ferrari McKeesport. I'm like, but, like, you're not gonna have tires. All

right, so, like, so anyways, we go to

the Bar, late night. We're at the bar

and some kid comes over and, and says,

hey, anybody ever tell you look like James Neil?

He said, yeah, I get that a lot. He said, you know, we should

trade him. James said, we? He said, you play

on the team, bud.

>> Speaker C: And.

>> RB: And so the kid said, no, I'm just a big fan. And like, I just don't

think that he fits in really well. And blah, blah, blah, blah.

So like 30 minutes later, the kid comes back as. I'm, um, such an

idiot, man. He said, you are James Neal?

And he said, yeah. He said, why don't you beat

it? He said, can I get a picture? He said, no, you

just had me traded 40 minutes ago.

>> Jonathan: That is funny, dude. The, what's, um,

that. That these rappers make, is

it like scissor or something like that? Like

codeine and, and Robitussin and

you want to. I was. Well, dude, I was, I was

like, my lungs were just burning and

I was coughing like crazy a couple nights ago, you know, and,

uh, I'm like, I need something to soothe,

you know, And I know honey works pretty well, but. So I went into the

little medical drawer here at the house and was looking for

like, kids cough syrup. So just something basic.

And there's a bottle Robitussin,

pm, dm, whatever the hell that

means. And it was for adults. And it

said, take 20 milliliters. So I'm like, well, golly,

I'm gonna just go ahead and fix me a nice little cup of

Robitussin and see how this thing works.

Dude, I. I took that Robitussin

and I am telling you, within 12 minutes of

me taking it, laying back in bed, not only did I not cough,

but I was knocked the hell out. I mean,

I was knocked out, dude, solid sleep.

Didn't wake up until like 8:30 the next

morning, which is late.

And I thought to myself, man, these guys getting rocked on

Robitussin and whatever they mix it with,

I mean, damn, there's a reason why that shit's a

problem.

>> RB: Yeah, I just go to Tequila.

>> Jonathan: So, um, now they're talking about all these kids in

college getting, you know, trying to buy Adderall

and stuff that you like to do. Um, but they're getting it

illegally and it's mixed with meth.

So this is gonna pose a problem for the

American youth. As if we

already don't have enough problems.

>> RB: I mean, that's happened. We can talk about this all day.

Like, that's neither here nor there.

Just gotta be careful coming up this

Thursday, when this episode drops, the

British Open is being played at

Royal Court Rush in Ireland.

>> Jonathan: Northern Ireland, mate. No, Northern Ireland.

>> RB: Northern Ireland.

>> Jonathan: It's its own country.

>> RB: Northern Ireland. And we had the

opportunity to go over there. What was it, about four years ago?

>> Jonathan: I think 22. So three summers ago.

>> RB: Okay, so three summers ago, we got the chance to play

Royal Port Rush. Um,

and, man, I would say top two

on the trip for me. Yeah, it's

incredible. The layout's amazing. It is

tough. It's right on the water.

Um, you kind of. The first couple holes, you kind of go out

your mosey and away from the clubhouse. I think you,

uh, had mentioned before we got on, uh, Rory McElroy

made an eight on number one, which is a par four.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> RB: Difficult green. Huge green.

>> Jonathan: Um, you know, that hole doesn't look like it

could be that demoralizing. You know what I mean?

Like, it's. It's a pretty fair straight, a little hill, par

four, but it's a little tight on both

sides, so. The hat I'm wearing is from

Royal Port Rush. I bought this there. It's. This

is the first time I'm wearing this hat. I just took the tags off today,

boys, just for this episode.

>> RB: I mean, they were selling merchandise for 20, 25,

three years ago, so.

>> Jonathan: Looks good.

>> RB: I mean, you held on to it.

>> Jonathan: Yep.

>> RB: To this point, um, I don't remember what I

shot, so I can't say anything about that.

Um, I just remember playing, uh, 1,

2, 3, 4, which is a short par four,

little dogleg right, going back towards the ocean.

And I remember standing on that green, looking out to the ocean, thinking,

this is. Like, this isn't real. Right.

And all the lads are down there on the. On

the beach, running around with the dogs and the ladies

chasing the dogs. Um, and I said, this is.

I said, this is. Looks like a movie. It

does. Well, funny enough, Game

of Thrones is filmed on that

beach with that big wall that was kind of hooking around

to the or. Yeah.

Um, so that was kind of cool, man.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> RB: I'm not a Game of Thrones person, but if somebody listening is, we got to

seize one of the sets.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. The course, it's kind of hard for me to

recall specifically the whole. I mean, I.

You know, if I watched a flyover, I could remember this,

that, and the other. But what I do recall is that when you got into the

meat of that course, like, maybe 7

through 12, 6 through 15, something

to that effect, it became

very demanding. I mean, the first

couple holes you kind of just, you're getting into it, you know, you

gotta do it decently short, part three. You got that

par four down towards the water, whatnot. But

the meat of that course is in. In the middle of

it, and it can unleash havoc.

And I think these guys, look, this is the final major of the

year, which. I can't believe it. I've said it before.

You know, we're in the middle of July and now the golf

season is not over. But

there's nothing really more than the Ryder cup to look forward to. I mean,

FedEx cup, you know, is that really fun? I don't know. But,

um, these guys are going to be prepared.

Uh, you know, a lot of them just played in the Scottish Open, which was

fun to watch. We could talk a little bit about that.

Uh, and so I'm excited to see

how. How the guys like Scheffler, how The

guys like McElroy, specifically McElroy being,

well, from Ireland. I mean, how's he going to handle

this?

>> RB: I mean, the amount of pressure he has to win

this one, because who's to say that he's ever going to play another

one? It's not like the British Open comes to Ireland

every year. So it's kind of. Is

this the last go at it? I mean,

listening. This guy talks depressing anymore.

So, um, it's important for him, I think, that he

could play well. He. Ha. It's crazy to say this, but

he has to have a good first round for confidence.

I would love Shane Lowry to win because

I just like the guy. Dude. I love the guy. He

parties after he wins,

celebrates. That's what he said in his press conference. He said, I feel like, you

know, I lose way more than I win on the Tour. And,

yeah, I celebrated a lot, and rightfully

so. But you got a couple, you got a couple

Irishmen playing in this, and it'll be

exciting to see how they finish. I mean, you got Scotty

Scheffler leading the odds.

I think he was plus 5, plus 300. I think

he's plus 450 currently.

>> Jonathan: Plus 4 50. As of now, he's plus 450.

Macro, um, is not too far behind him at plus 700.

Um, dude. But like. And we'll get

into that bet talk here in a few moments.

And by the way, people, we do have a special honorary

guest joining us here for a few minutes to just jump

on the show with us, talk a little bit of golf

recap, uh, maybe a little bit on the US Open. Looking forward to. To

the British Open, but that guy is

the legend Rocco Media. So he's

joining us here on Chasing birdies in about

12 minutes or so, so we will welcome him with

open arms. But I got to tell you, dude, the one guy that

just. And I might have to have a talk with

Joey, I mean, but Oberg,

he gets in the mix, dude. He.

The last couple tournaments that I've been on him,

you know, the Scottish Open and I think the

Canadian Open, he's been in the mix through, like,

two and a half, three rounds, like, right there. Then he

just bombs, like, this past weekend, he

went. He went like bogey, bogey, triple bogey, or bogey,

bogey, double bogey. He went 4 over.

Um, he was 10 under, and

then he went 4 over over three holes and was

600. Like, he's completely out of it. But

that. That guy can always be a threat in a golf

tournament. But I guess the bigger question is, do you

think it's going to be one of the big dogs that gonna get it done, or do

you think, uh. Uh, it's not.

>> RB: I have a big dog picked, um, but I have

three picks, and two of the three or not, I would consider

big dogs currently. I don't think so, dude.

I don't think it's going to be a, uh, considered, you know,

top five player on the PGA Tour. I

don't think so. I don't think Rory

can get it done with the headspace he is in right

now. I don't know what headspace he's in, but I'm

saying, you know, the U.S. open,

uh, his little chippiness that he has,

um, is he miserable in life? You know, he was

complaining about the greens over in the Scottish Open, and these greens

are shit. Well, but, I mean, let's not forget

you came from Ireland, right? Like, these. These are normal to you,

actually. Scotland, Ireland, like,

yeah. I mean, they weren't

for the guy that won. And that's the thing. You can't

worry about that kind of stuff. Everybody's got a putt on them, bud.

Everybody.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> RB: So true.

>> Jonathan: Well, so let me hear what you got. I mean, if you want to

go right into that little talk.

>> RB: So, um, my. I have three picks.

I'll, uh, start from my long shot and go

and go down at plus 10,000.

>> Jonathan: That's solid.

>> RB: Um, my next pick at plus

M. And then, uh, my number one

pick is. I have him at plus 500.

So Scotty Scheffler well, so that's a big dog, dude.

>> RB: Well, yeah, you got.

>> Jonathan: That's your number one pick. But, I mean, he's told me you don't.

>> RB: I don't think a big dog's gonna win, but I'm still gonna

take him.

>> Jonathan: That's your number one pick dog. I

love contradicting statements, too. It's all good.

>> RB: And another guy I like,

I'm kind of going back and forth is Adam Scott

because he plays in the wind, good iron player.

So let's hear yours.

>> Jonathan: I don't have at this moment in time. I honestly, I didn't

do any picks. Um, but if I were

to pick a couple folks right now, who I would take for

sure. Uh, number one,

Tommy Fleetwood. I think he's about

plus 2600. The reason being is because

I learned a couple weeks ago he's never won.

And guess what? The guy grew up over in this type of

playing golf. He's been playing good golf. Now, can he handle his

nerves? I don't know. But he can be in the mix,

so I think Fleetwood is probably a good play. And

then I look at someone on the back end, like,

pretty far down the line, you know, like potentially

another Sam Burns type player or

Cam Smith making a turn to try to potentially

get. Get a dub on it. Um,

Cam Young, even. So, someone in

that type of mix. And then if I were to

pick somebody who I would label like a big dog or

someone that can be really, really kind of right there

with it, um, I'm probably

going to go with John Rahm, and I think

his games, he's been playing great all year,

and there's good value on him. John Rom plus

1200 right now. And, uh,

you know, but anybody could win.

Anybody.

>> RB: It's the British Open.

>> Jonathan: It's the British Open. You got. I don't

know. Have you taken a look at the forecast?

>> RB: I have not looked into the weather, but, um,

that can play a huge deciding factor in all of this. It

could be beautiful. When we were over there, it was beautiful.

I was actually. It was actually like this week.

Yeah, I think we were there, like, July 22nd to the

28th. So a week later.

Um, but it could be beautiful. And if

it's beautiful and the wind's not terrible,

scores might start going low. But if it gets gusty and

rainy and all the elements, which I enjoy

watching at the British Open, I feel like that's the

British Open. Right. Who knows? What.

What happens? I. I do say, uh, this is my favorite major

to watch. Because, but you get up at three in the morning

and we got, we got golf.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. And that can buy that. You know, I'm

cool with the fact that we wake up early on the weekend

and golf's on, you know, by 10 o' clock, the leaders are going

teeing off. And that's cool to me because then it

kind of frees up the rest of your day. You don't got to feel like you're, uh,

couch bum eating combos and chilling.

So I do like that aspect that, that

the, this golf tournament provides golf at

an earlier time slot. And look,

I'm certainly upset that this is our last major, but, man, I

am stoked. Especially like

watching the US Open. Okay,

Watching the US Open. We know Oakmont. We've played

Oakmont a bunch. We understand it.

Got to see it in real time with these guys playing it and

saw what it brought. Now the British,

we got to play Royal Port Rush. Now. I can't tell you all the holes

off the top of my head now at this point, but, uh,

I sure as hell will remember them when I see them, and I'll

know. So it's like, okay, it's going to take me back a

little bit to hanging out with you guys, you know, how about eat?

>> RB: I for sure remember the first five holes. I

just, I think that that day when we played was a little

windy, so. So the old head was a little down, boys.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Ian Patrick, the legend that he

is on the bus ride in Northern Ireland, he got sick. We

stopped at the gas station. He wanted milk. And it's like

90 degrees in Ireland, and we're on this sprinter van

with like barely any ac or on these

back roads in Northern Ireland. And

Ian just starts projectile vomiting everywhere

in this bus. And then it's like

everyone is all, ugh, the

smell. Gross. So our

driver. There's a reason why I'm telling this story.

Our driver, Sean, pulls off and lets

Ian do what he has to do. And I vividly remember Ian

getting that bag, putting it in the garbage can on the street.

Yes.

>> RB: No, I remember him, um, vomiting in the

bag and the bag breaking and it goes.

Yes, in the bus.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Well, I remember the garbage

can where it was full, seeping out on the outside

of the garbage can.

>> RB: And he sharted. Let's not. He

literally sharted.

>> Jonathan: And he was not like. I mean, he

was kind of in an urgent state, but at the

same time, he was pretty much doing

on Ian time. Like, I'll get to it when I get to it. Like,

guys, Shut the hell up. I'm sick. Okay? You're going

to deal with this. Let me get back to me.

So we kind of just moseyed around this little town for a couple of minutes while

Ian dealt with his puke. And, you know, it's hot.

Everyone's like, what the hell's going on? But Ian texted Sean

this weekend and told him he

wants to go back to Northern Ireland next year. Can you set up a

trip? And he ended the conversation with him, and,

uh, he said, what you think,

question mark. I could

not stop laughing. He said, what you think,

Leg Sean? Meanwhile, Sean's probably like, who the fuck's this guy?

Oh, Ian, uh. Yeah. How you doing, man? How

you doing?

>> RB: That pooped himself and puked all over my bus.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, I got you. I got you.

Good, uh, times, man. That was good.

That was good.

>> RB: Well, our buddy, uh, Rocco will be joining

and I'm looking forward to getting his thoughts on a few things.

Um, you know, Oakmont,

um. Was the Sam Burns rolling

correct from a Tour player's

perspective? Um, talk a little bit about his

experiences at the British Open and a little bit about

the media. Um, Colin Morikawa specifically.

Um, Rory McElroy specifically.

See, get his thoughts on that, because I'll tell you this much. Um,

I don't think that he approves of how they're handling

it. And,

um, it'll be interesting to get his

take.

You know, that. That was. That was tough watching him

in 15 with that water. But

I don't know that that was one for the,

>> Jonathan: My only complaint with the Alps is the fact that you don't have a little

slot underneath to kind of dump them. When you're done, you got

to put them back in or you got to find a garbage can.

I'm so used to that Zins. Whenever I just want to take it out, I

just turn the can over, take the small ring

out and bump it in.

>> RB: I never found that, by the way. Like, I was looking.

And you know who told us that was Story

Snyder.

>> Jonathan: Story Snyder told us that.

>> RB: Story Snyder is the one who introduced you, and

your mind was absolutely blown.

>> Jonathan: Well, it happened to me on the way back from Colorado. I'm on

the airplane, and this kid sitting two seats next to me, I

turn the can over and I put it in, and I'm, um. I go

back to minding my own business. And he hits me. He says, what

the hell did you just do with that? I said, what do you mean? He said, the

zincain. You turned it over? And I said,

yeah, but I said, I put the dead soldiers here in this

ring. And he. His mind was blown.

And then I put my headphones back in and mind my own business, so.

charge him.

>> RB: Meanwhile, I got yelled at for having his in can

out in the open on the airplane. And you're over here

educating some kid on it. I mean, like,

guy came over to me and said, hey, um, you're not allowed

to have that on the airplane. I don't care. But the

rest of the staff will yell at you for that.

Like, bud, I'm not doing anything.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, it's not, um.

>> RB: It's not like I'm spitting in a bottle,

which we did on the way. On the way to St. Lucia.

I'm like, what's that smell? Guy in the same row as me across

the aisle had an old school chewing.

disgusting. I wanted to puke. The smell,

um, of it.

>> Jonathan: Well, it's really not that bad, you know?

It's really not that bad. The TSA agents are the

worst, though. Well, I mean, I appreciate their service, but, man,

these guys and girls are just in bad moods all the

time. Do I got to take your shoes off? No, you don't take your shoes

off. Does it look like you need to take your shoe off? Well, I don't know.

the media. Yeah. M. Specifically, Colin

Morikawa, Rory McElroy.

Um, something's going on with Rory McElroy,

clearly. Uh, because he went from being the voice of the

PGA Tour to not wanting to talk to anybody.

>> Speaker C: Yeah, he. Yeah, he did. Um, they

kind of buried him with a. When he was standing

up for the PGA Tour and then found out there's a

deal behind it. Not behind his back, but behind everybody's back

with, um, the live thing. You see how that worked out? That worked

out nice. Um,

and yeah, he just said, enough is enough. And I don't

blame him for that, but

nobody's bigger than the game. Yeah, we have to

talk. You have to talk. That's people one.

That's what you have to talk about.

Um, the, uh, the, the I don't owe

anybody anything crap is complete.

It's. It's nauseating. Said it a million times. I don't care what

people think about what I say ever. I could care

less. Um, they'll come back and say, well, a

couple guys said, well, you're just mad that you didn't have a,

a good career. I'm like, call it what you want. I'm just

telling you the truth.

>> RB: Right.

>> Speaker C: You speak to people when you're asked questions. You don't

go to Palmer's course and the Palmer's tournament and say,

uh, I don't know anybody, anything. He would have strung him up. Oh,

you put him up against a locker. Okay, so stop

it. You can't win the argument. There's nothing to win.

It's wrong. I don't care what they say. It's even bigger

now because of all this media stuff. So just

say something.

>> RB: And I said to ryan, I said, Mr. Palmer would have absolutely

snapped based on our conversation. You and I had a.

Privately. But this. It's

easy to talk when you play well, right? You want to talk to. Everybody

wants to talk.

>> Speaker C: Anybody can do it.

>> RB: Piece of cake. But when you're a face of the game, I. E.

Colin Morikawa, Rory McElroy just.

>> Speaker C: I would definitely not calm. He's definitely not a face of the game.

That's not even close to the face of the game. But he's a very

well known, very great player. Love the way he

plays the game, but just stop it.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> Speaker C: Because it doesn't. It looks bad. It looks bad. So,

like I said, I don't care what people say about what

I say about this. I'm looking out as a fan

going, really? You're not going to tell me what, how you're feeling right

now? This is what you're supposed to do you don't want to do

it. But the key is, like you just said,

and that's what Mr. Palmer said, it's easy to talk. When you shoot

65, can you do it when you shoot 75, can you do it

when you get beat? That's the. That's the test. Sometimes, of course, you

don't want to do it. You're mad, you're sad, you're upset, you're

whatever. But that's when you got to go. All right,

I'm just going to tell them how I feel. Even if I say something stupid,

I'm talking.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, yeah.

>> Speaker C: You never say, I don't owe anybody

anything. Well, actually, you do.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. Because.

>> RB: Yeah.

>> Speaker C: It's like beating a dead horse. So they don't care.

I don't, uh. I'm not. You know, it was like, what's wrong with

these guys?

>> RB: Yeah. It's everybody else's.

>> Speaker C: Why would they say that? Yeah, of course it is. Of course it is. It's

called entitlement, and that's what it's called. And it's

nauseating. Hey, we're all entitled out there. Trust me.

Uh, you know, it's changed, but we're playing a game for a

living, and you can make tons and tons of money. That's a

pretty good deal. So you might want to,

you know, show some respect for

it. I don't know. Call me crazy.

>> RB: Yeah.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. No, I think you get all these.

>> Speaker C: Guys that go on the other side, like, oh, you're just

this, um. Um. This has nothing to do with me.

Zero. You can call my stuff whatever you want to

call it. I don't care. I do not care. But.

And why are you talking about it? They'll give me that one, too. And

I'm like, well, because I was asked a question, so I answered

it. Try it sometime. Yeah,

So I don't care what the answer. I don't care what they think of

the answer. But you're gonna ask me a question. I'm going

to tell you what I think. Is it always right? Of course not.

US Open, uh, at Oakmont Sunday, and there's a little rain. Del

turned it. You know, turned it on, and here comes a replay of

you at Torrey Pines. And I even talked to you.

>> Speaker C: I lost again. Huh? Uh.

>> RB: And I said, you look like you're having a time of your Life

out, uh, there. And you said I was.

>> Speaker C: Yeah, 100%. Yeah. It just doesn't.

I don't know. Golf is still. I love watching these kids

play. I love the PGA Tour. I do. I have

nothing. Uh, I'm not that guy. Oh, they're playing for this. I think it's

great that Scheffler made $70 million last year.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, he earned it.

>> Speaker C: You know, he played 20 sometimes won nine

times. He's. He was paid very well.

I love Major league baseball, but a major league pitcher makes

be submerged in water in the middle of the fairway,

but my feet are dry, so I have to

play really, you know, what is. What. What is

hitting the fairway? It's kind of. It's supposed to be what you're supposed to

try to do, and all of a sudden, he's buried up to his.

You know. It was a joke. Now, was it.

Did it cost in the open? It very well could have.

We don't know what happened. If he hits it on the green and two putts or makes

birdie or. Or makes bogey, for that matter, we don't

know what happens. We'll never know. But

everybody, even on our, uh. Even on my, uh, the old guys

tour, our tour, they're like, what the hell kind of ruling.

I mean, I know it was, but if that's the rule book, that's the rule book. It

just needs to be changed, right?

I've never played up there.

>> Jonathan: It's going to be a challenge, and that's what we were discussing. Who do we

think could be. Is it going to be a big dog, or are we going to have

someone from the back who no one's.

>> Speaker C: Well, I. I don't know what the weather's going to be,

but I love Rory just because it's Rory. And I love

Scotty. I m like Scotty every week. That's my Pick

him pretty much every week, because how do you not pick him?

If he putts good, he beats you. Um, but

Rahm is somebody to be reckoned with, too. You watch.

You watch Ron, because, you know, I know he played good last

week at Valderrama. Um, but

the Way he drives it, you know, it's

over there. It's. He's. That he can hit that thing four feet off

the ground a mile and it might take that. You

know, Lowry is a great driver. Obviously, he won last time.

Um, so if you look at those guys. But I think

Rory's got to have. He's kind of. He finished the grand

slam. Um, which was. It

was so cool. It was so cool to see him actually do that because

he, you know, you can say that he deserved it.

Okay. It was good that. So it's. I'm glad it's over with

and maybe some let down after that and whatever,

you know? Um, but I think he's like, you know,

last time I missed the cut here, and the people were

just. Were crazy, and I was trying to do it for them. I

think something's. I don't know. I hope so.

It'd be cool to see that, but, you know, Scotty's gonna be.

They're all going to be there, you know, if Xander's showing up again. He's feeling

the, the one spot of my game right now that's a little weak

is my driving, which is, you know, I've said it before,

coming around. But my iron striking is really good.

My chipping and wedging, I'm wedging it really

well right now. My feel around the greens is really

good.

>> Jonathan: And I'm rolling the rocks, so.

two the other day. I was playing a little nightcap round with

>> Jonathan: Uh, no, because I was 20 yards away.

Um, but I proceeded to get up and down the next

hole, made, uh, birdie on four,

made birdie on five, made birdie

on seven, made a long parse save on

eight. And then I three jacked nine for bogey, shot two

under. So I fell pretty

good. And BK played good, too. BK was back the nine

holer. He shot even. Yeah, I mean, we love to

see it.

>> RB: Good.

>> Jonathan: We love to see it. And then I'm taking a couple guys this

week at, uh, from work. I'm

taking them to Pikewood here, uh, tomorrow

for a round of golf. Jared Detwiler, good friend

and, uh, Chartiers country club

expertise. Guy just played in the club, uh,

championship. Said he did not play too well, but

we'll see how his game looks at pike with this weekend or this

week and, uh, you know, friends. And friends.

people to know this. This is totally random, but when I

said Neil and I thought of Pittsburgh, I got to tell you something,

is one hell of a man,

okay? He is just one hell of a man. Our

starting center for the Pittsburgh Steelers

is a good man. Um, had

a little chat with him about, uh, WVU

Medicine's children golf outing that you

and I are a part of in September, which we need to

get on that a little bit. But, um, so for the

auction, he donated a signed jersey and

would not let me Venmo him for the shipping. And I

said, bud, I said, when I see you, I'm gonna shake your hand with a 10

spot in it. Did it on his own. He's in the

middle of football season.

>> RB: I love it.

>> Jonathan: He's just having a baby, and, you

know, and then there he is worrying about sending Bash a, uh,

jersey for the auction. But he did it, and he did

it with his heart, so he's a great man. See,

humans like that. We need more of.

>> RB: Yeah, Walks and I. We've been back to

walks. Walks and I've been talking. We like where our games

are at right now, and, uh,

see if we can cause a Little havoc in the member guests.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, it's going to be fun. I'll be rooting for you. If I can

get in on any action, um,

>> RB: I just hope I didn't do it.

>> Jonathan: I would like to take you. And you had a match against a high schooler. You were on the

ropes a little bit over there at the Moose Club, sending me

updates, you know, getting waxed a little bit early.

>> RB: And I mean the kid went from giving me one shot

a hole. He's 22 years old. Joey Gatis

give me one shot a hole to needing four, was 22

shot swing. So I gave him his four. I was two down through two,

got it to um, one

up, two up, three up on the front nine

and um, on the back, man, he made a four

for three on 17, a part of five and I made a four

and uh, we were, I was one down on

the back in all square overall,

got the 18, he stuffs it to about four feet

and I have like a little 15 yard pitch shot. Played it like a

pot basically and went in and walked off with an

eagle.

>> Jonathan: That's awesome.

>> RB: And uh, fired a little 65 on the boy.

>> Jonathan: I mean you're playing some good golf, dude. So, I mean the

last, last time I played with you, you shot 68.

>> RB: 68? Yeah, my last three were 67.

68, 65.

>> Jonathan: It's awesome, dude. I mean it helps, you know, when

you can reach to par fives with the wedge, but honest to God, that's still

good putting. Kidding.

>> RB: Actually, part two par fives on, on that match,

which I was really upset about.

>> Jonathan: Uh, uh, I

know that's like us when we played the other day. We're scooting through and

13's like the easiest hole.

>> RB: You had 12 straight pars going in that hole.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, 12 straight pars, 13 easy par five. I

make six. Oh, I kind of hit in the hazard

on my second shot, but. Yeah, but Nate, birdie on

you on the next hole. Dude. You made a nice 30 footer. And I

made a 25 footer on top of you for two. He proceeded

to shoot 68, 71 for this guy. But

all is well in the golf world, people.

Golf season is ending and summer

is slowly winding down. School buses are going to be back

out. So make sure you

soak up the dog days of summer because they are here,

here. And there's no better way to do it than to

dive into the British Open this weekend. Royal Port Rush,

Northern Ireland, with the players all in it.

And it's gonna be a good one. It's gonna be a good one.
