Welcome to the Peak Revival Podcast.
Speaker:My name is Vesna, and I'm gonna talk about what 2025 taught me
Speaker:and how to close out the year.
Speaker:So it's been a big year.
Speaker:I feel like I've talked about it a lot on the podcast anyway, but
Speaker:couple of big lessons this year was.
Speaker:Everything you do may not work out.
Speaker:I've had this lesson before, but I'm having it again.
Speaker:and it's an interesting one.
Speaker:No matter how hard you try to create things in your life that
Speaker:you want, it may not happen.
Speaker:And it's not personal.
Speaker:I don't take that as personal.
Speaker:in my relationship life, in my business, in my home life, there were things that
Speaker:I wanted that I couldn't make happen.
Speaker:No lack of trying, that's for sure.
Speaker:I overscheduled myself.
Speaker:I had too many goals, tried too many things, but really put a
Speaker:lot of effort into all of those.
Speaker:And you know, I mentioned this in the previous podcast, got to a point
Speaker:where I was like, yeah, everything I worked really hard for didn't work out.
Speaker:And I was like, that's really interesting and.
Speaker:For me, I don't take that personally 'cause I think, well, it's not meant
Speaker:for me, or not meant for me right now.
Speaker:And it brought me back to a quote that Peter Crone, if you've ever
Speaker:heard Peter Crone, he's, um, he calls himself the mind architect.
Speaker:He's a lot online, but he, he said something once to someone, which always
Speaker:stuck in my mind and made so much sense.
Speaker:He said
Speaker:"It was precisely what was supposed to happen.
Speaker:Why?
Speaker:Because it happened." I'm exactly where I'm meant to be
Speaker:because this is where I am.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:And sometimes I think that, you know, especially me anyway, I'm
Speaker:like, yes, create your future, create what you want, create your results.
Speaker:But there is an upper hand there as well at the end of the day, that some
Speaker:things are not meant for you right now.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:And, uh, we've gotta have trust and faith in that process.
Speaker:Gotta have trust and faith in the unfolding of our life, even
Speaker:though I want it to be different.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:But to always remember, and I always remember this, no matter what happens
Speaker:in life, you can still be happy.
Speaker:We have innate wellbeing.
Speaker:We have this ability to be happy even if we don't get what we want.
Speaker:We are always moving towards happiness and wellbeing and homeostasis.
Speaker:So that's one big lesson.
Speaker:And you know, I talked about wintering and all of that, so I've
Speaker:talked about my journey this year.
Speaker:But on the other, you know, side, we've had a lot of business success this year.
Speaker:It's been my biggest year in business ever which is huge And we've got
Speaker:more members in our program than ever.
Speaker:We've got more results, more testimonials.
Speaker:And the other big win here is my team.
Speaker:My team have worked really hard to serve everyone and serve everyone well.
Speaker:They've managed things while I was wintering and had downtime and have
Speaker:just, you know, kept it all together.
Speaker:And I'm very, very grateful for them.
Speaker:So they're my wins for the year.
Speaker:And some lessons and then what I'm taking into next year.
Speaker:So this is kind of a bit more excited to talk about this.
Speaker:So I was listening, something popped up on my Instagram the
Speaker:other day with Esther Perl.
Speaker:She's a psychologist.
Speaker:You, you would definitely know her.
Speaker:she was commenting on someone's post who.
Speaker:Said, you know, I'm not anyone's priority.
Speaker:And people were saying, just love yourself more, and whatever it was.
Speaker:But she was like, we can't, we have to create a village.
Speaker:you can't expect your partner to be a village for you, right?
Speaker:You can't expect, you know, one person in your life to be a village for you.
Speaker:You have to create a village, and I really like this 'cause.
Speaker:Depending on what kind of work you do.
Speaker:For my work, I work a lot from home.
Speaker:I'm at home all the time and I'm working behind my computer.
Speaker:I create a lot of context content.
Speaker:I do a lot of, uh, group things, but still, essentially I am behind
Speaker:my computer all day and I have decided I am, I've had enough.
Speaker:I, I want to be doing something differently in 2026 in a sense
Speaker:of, I wanna build a village.
Speaker:I wanna build a village for my personal life, and I wanna build
Speaker:a village for my business life.
Speaker:Meaning that.
Speaker:I wanna start to do things that are more either in person, so in person
Speaker:events or smaller events, in person group events, working more closely
Speaker:with groups, doing deeper work.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:So really kind of getting that connection with.
Speaker:Clients that I work with and people that come into my programs and doing
Speaker:events right, bringing live events back.
Speaker:I think COVID shut us all down in our homes and we got so
Speaker:used to doing Zoom everything.
Speaker:And I mean, to be fair, my business was already, well equipped for COVID.
Speaker:I was already doing those things.
Speaker:And so I've been doing this for a long time now, and so I wanna
Speaker:do things differently this year.
Speaker:I wanna build a village.
Speaker:So again, for my personal life and within my business, I think that.
Speaker:You know, one of the things, it was interesting on this post that Esther
Speaker:did, I was reading the comments and one of the first comments I thought
Speaker:was the best comment I had read.
Speaker:She said,
Speaker:"The way you build a village is to be really helpful to others." To be
Speaker:the first neighbor that helps, the first friend that helps, you know, and
Speaker:that's how you know you build these connections because I think that we're.
Speaker:In today's world, everyone's so busy and so, preoccupied and not present
Speaker:that we are not aware that actually we we're not really there as much as
Speaker:we could be for our friends or for our family, or people that we respect.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:and that's how we start to create the village.
Speaker:And I was like, I really like that.
Speaker:Right?
Speaker:Um, My focus is going to be
Speaker:building villages in personal and business life and in that way creating
Speaker:a lot more satisfaction in life.
Speaker:Because I think for all of us, depending on how you work and how you
Speaker:live, life can feel really isolating.
Speaker:Sometimes we can feel alone and it shouldn't be that way, right?
Speaker:We're not creatures who are designed to be on our own, right?
Speaker:We are designed to live in community and villages, and to
Speaker:have that support network on.
Speaker:All levels.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:Emotionally, um, mentally, physically, financially, right.
Speaker:And so, but we have to create that.
Speaker:So that's kind of my goals for the, for the 2026.
Speaker:And I think with the year that I've had, I'm gonna allow 2026 to unfold.
Speaker:But I'm definitely feeling way more myself, and I'm
Speaker:happy for the end of the year.
Speaker:It feels like closing a chapter of a, a challenging.
Speaker:psychologically, I think, well, the next year, this is behind me.
Speaker:So everything in front is totally different.
Speaker:I dunno if it works like that.
Speaker:I'm picking the end of the year as a point that I think everything will magically
Speaker:turn around in my favor, but who knows?
Speaker:But I'm going to allow it to unfold as it's meant to unfold.
Speaker:What are your big lessons or big takeaways from 2025?
Speaker:What do you want to take into next year?
Speaker:and happy New Year.
