How often do we have this crippling fear, this fear of what the world, what people, what our family is going to do to us? We allow this fear to overtake us. We allow this fear to change what we do, how we act, how we perceive things.
In Joshua 10 verses eight, it says, the Lord said to Joshua, do not be afraid of them. I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you. The Lord said, do not be afraid. I have given them into your hand. Open your hand right now. Open your palms wide. Face the sky.
and imagine your enemies being served into your hand. Imagine the debt that you're carrying just sitting right there. Imagine the pain. Imagine the infertility, the failed relationships, the difficult job just being in your hand. And what God says is he
puts it in your hand and not one of them, not one of those things will be able to withstand you. And so think about the physical act of your hand being open and God putting those things, those burdens, the heaviness into your hand. What can you do with it? You can close your hand and crush it up.
You can let your hands stay open. You can throw it down on the ground. But God is saying, I'm giving you the power. I am giving you the authority. Don't be afraid of them because he is going to give you authority over that thing, over that person, over that situation. So do not.
