Welcome back to another episode of health hacks as I continue talking about your liver this week, and today I'm going to be sharing with you how to support the health of your liver. Now that you know how vitally important it is to your overall health and well being supporting your liver requires that you help it get the key nutrients needed for phase two of detoxification, so that your liver can actually complete that process, which turns the toxins in your body to being water soluble, so that you can excrete them through your breath, your sweat your bowels and your urine and get them out of your body, thereby not releasing them from your body. So they're not stuck in your body and leaving your liver feeling overwhelmed. And these key nutrients are very often no longer in our soil systems, they're harder to get therefore through our food. And so using a functional medicine detox that provides the supplements specifically needed for this role is a key part of the process of helping your liver to be able to detox. There's also a daily detox support supplement that has been created specifically for this as well. And I always recommend people do a quarterly detox once you get into the process of having done your first functional medicine detox because the toxins are always coming in. So we need to keep getting them out. There's other things that you can do as well, such as drinking dandelion tea on a daily basis, which has really good detox nutrients in it, and then enjoying detoxifying foods such as cruciferous vegetables, broccoli, leafy greens, herbs like garlic and cilantro, as well as citrus fruits and beats. So eating all of them on a daily basis supports your liver and getting the nutrients it needs to be able to function at an optimal level. And if you would like to know more about doing a functional medicine, detox, I have a self guided program that sets you up for success, as well as teaches you all about the detoxification process nutrition, the right way to eat for your body digestion, how stress negatively impacts digestion and what you can do about that. How not to retox after your detox as well as sugar, because it's an everything and what you can do about that. Everybody who does this detox feels so much better as a result. The first couple days are hard, I will admit it. However, when you start feeling better, sleeping better, your aches and pains go away, your brain fog goes away, you have renewed mental clarity, you're just functioning better and feeling better in your body, you know that it's worth it. And it's a very easy way to prevent chronic illness down the line because we know the key factors in chronic illness are a high toxic load, and low nutrient intake and stress. And this course addresses all three so if you'd like to know more like about that, click the link in the show notes and check out that program. And I would be happy to answer and answer any questions that you might have.
