Speaker A

You know, we have one direction we move within this podcast, and that is forward and upward.

Speaker A

But to move forward and upward, that requires some lift, and we're going to talk about that today.

Speaker A

Get ready.

Speaker B

This is your captain speaking.

Speaker A

What's up, Champion?

Speaker A

This is your host, Neal Reyes, and.

Speaker C

I want to welcome you to the Executive Perspective.

Speaker C

For years, I struggled to answer the question, what do you do for a living?

Speaker C

Why?

Speaker C

Because most people who ask only expect to hear one thing.

Speaker C

I'm an executive with a deep level of understanding of business, operations, leadership, and technology.

Speaker C

I'm also the president and founder of a worldwide ministry and CEO of an executive coaching and consulting firm.

Speaker C

My number one passion is people, and I receive significant gratitude in life from sowing into others and encouraging them as they grow to achieve their fullest potential.

Speaker C

If you're a high performance individual like me, or you're simply ready to take your business leadership or inner potential to the next level, then strap in because.

Speaker C

Because I'm locked in and all in.

Speaker C

This is the Executive Perspective.

Speaker A

Hey, what's up, champions?

Speaker A

This is your host, Neal, and I want to welcome you back to the Executive Perspective with Neal Reyes.

Speaker A

Man, I am fired up about today's show and I'm super excited that you've joined us as we continue to grow together in the areas of leadership, business strategy, and personal development.

Speaker A

Today, I have a topic that I believe is a barn burner, and I'm excited to bring it to you.

Speaker A

Today I'm going to speak with you about something that I refer to as the law of Lyft.

Speaker A

Now, you might be thinking airplanes.

Speaker A

Very similar.

Speaker A

I'm going to take you through what I coach some one on one clients, and I refer to this coaching session as the law of lift.

Speaker A

Now, I'm going to start to frame this a little bit for you, but I believe that today's teaching is going to be so impactful for you that you're going to want to bookmark this episode and save it.

Speaker A

That way you can come back to it as a staple in your routine over and over again.

Speaker A

Because it's an evergreen teaching that will help to continue to spur you to move forward, forward and upward again.

Speaker A

Forward and upward.

Speaker A

Have you ever felt like you're ready for more but maybe you just can't get off the ground?

Speaker A

Well, today we're gonna fix that.

Speaker A

I want to start off today by actually taking you to Newton's third law of motion.

Speaker A

So like I said, today we're talking about the law of lift.

Speaker A

And I want to start off by opening up with Newton's third law of motion.

Speaker A

Now, I want to paraphrase it a bit, so for all my, you know, physics majors out there and stuff, or all of my people in aviation, give me some grace.

Speaker A

But this is basically what the Newton's third law of motion states.

Speaker A

It basically states that for every action, there must be an opposite and equal reaction.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

For every action, there's an opposite, an equal reaction.

Speaker A

Well, that specifically comes into play in the area of the law of lift and specifically within aviation and airplanes.

Speaker A

If you ever study how airplanes take off, you know, and these are just wonders of the world when you think about it.

Speaker A

You know, sometimes you can have like a 90 ton plane or much heavier than that, something that should never be able to float.

Speaker A

In fact, it should just float, sink like a rock if you dropped it out of the air because of gravity.

Speaker A

But this defies the laws of gravity because the laws of lift.

Speaker A

And this is basically what it is.

Speaker A

When you have an airplane that's taxiing down the Runway and when they get the all clear to take off, what direction are they headed?

Speaker A

They're headed forward and upward, man.

Speaker A

I talk about that all the time on this podcast.

Speaker A

Our direction is forward and upward.

Speaker A

But what happens is, as they're giving the throttle wide open, they're giving it all the power to get off the ground because they're fighting against gravity, they're fighting against other types of things, drag and stuff.

Speaker A

But as they're giving it all the power, eventually what happens is that plane begins to take off and lift up in the air.

Speaker A

And what's happening in that moment is that the wings of that aircraft are actually pushing down against the air.

Speaker A

So that's the first part of Newton's law, that's the action.

Speaker A

The wings are pushing down against the air.

Speaker A

But the air, even though it may not seem like it, the air has mass.

Speaker A

And so what happens is that those wings press down against the mass or against the air's mass.

Speaker A

Well, there's an opposite and equal reaction, meaning the mass of the air pushes back against the wing.

Speaker A

That's where you get lift.

Speaker A

I'm going to tell you that this is a powerful principle to understand because in success in life, it operates much the same as the law of lift in natural physics.

Speaker A

Now, what I want you to understand is that when an airplane is taking off, what pilots will tell you is that airplanes use the majority of their fuel actually taking off.

Speaker A

In fact, what happens is after that airplane takes off and gets in the air, the pilots have to pull back on the throttle because that power is wide open to get it off the ground.

Speaker A

But if they don't pull back on that power, they'll tear that plane into pieces, it'll tear apart.

Speaker A

What happens?

Speaker A

They actually pull it back because what happens is momentum gets behind them.

Speaker A

In other words, what happens is with that lift and as they're ascending, they don't require as much power anymore to actually go faster than they were when they were taken off off the ground.

Speaker A

Gosh, I'm telling you, this has so many parallels in what I'm going to teach you today.

Speaker A

But basically what I want to explain to you is this.

Speaker A

If you want to experience real lift within your life and in your leadership, then it's time to get intentional and it's time to get aggressive.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

If you want to experience real lift in your life and your leadership, then it's time for you to get intentional and it's time for you to get aggressive.

Speaker A

Today I'm going to be taking you through today's episode and it's going to parallel a one on one coaching session with me.

Speaker A

Now, it's not exact because when I'm in a one on one coaching session, you know, there's three things I'm doing in every session.

Speaker A

I'm supporting, I'm pushing, and then I'm pushing hard.

Speaker A

Now, those aren't the only three things, but those are three basic summaries of what a great coach does when I'm Working with clients like that, there's questions.

Speaker A

I'm posing questions to them and I'm listening to their voice and to the reactions.

Speaker A

I'm going deeper into those things.

Speaker A

I'm taking them into places where I can help them have their biggest breakthroughs.

Speaker A

And so the one thing that's different about today is I don't get to hear your answers back.

Speaker A

But I'm going to frame this like a one on one coaching session.

Speaker A

And so if today feels a little different, just understand that it's designed to feel different.

Speaker A

This is something that in praying about what I should do, and just so you know, I pray about all of my podcast episodes, about what I should be speaking on, but in doing so, I felt impressed to take you through the law of lift and through a deep dive with me today.

Speaker A

I also want to let you know that we're going to do this right here, right now.

Speaker A

We're going to jump right into this thing.

Speaker A

Before we do, though, I think that this is going to be so impressive for you.

Speaker A

And when I say impressive, what I mean is it's going to have such an impression on your life if you dig into this that I want to encourage you to grab something to take notes with today, whether that be a notebook or if you have your phone, if you have a notes app on your phone or something of that nature, grab something to take notes with.

Speaker A

You know, you should never leave the success of your future relying upon your memory.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

You should never leave your future success to have to rely upon your memory.

Speaker A

Now, certainly you want to have a good memory and I'm believing you've got that striver.

Speaker A

But at the same time, sometimes people hear things and they think, I'll remember that forever.

Speaker A

And sometimes you can hear something and it seems so profound and loud and inside of you that you think you'll never forget that.

Speaker A

But when you leave that moment, you may have known there was something profound, but you can't recall what it was anymore.

Speaker A

Other times you may think, that man, that was so strong, but what was it?

Speaker A

Or sometimes you don't even remember that there was something profound from it.

Speaker A

I'm going to tell you this is a principle of learning.

Speaker A

This is a principle of growth.

Speaker A

And even if you will remember it, when you write it down, it makes even.

Speaker A

It just helps you to be even more successful.

Speaker A

I do this whenever I hear things from the Lord, like when he speaks to me, especially something strong, I'll stop and I'll either put it on a voice recorder, or I'll write it down so I remember it.

Speaker A

And there are times where it's so strong, I'll ask him, lord, will you please inscribe that on the tablet of my heart so that I never forget that.

Speaker A

And I learned that because there were plenty of times where he would speak to me and something was profound, or I'm in a session, I'm listening to a speaker, or I'm in a teaching, or it's a sermon or something, but I'm listening to something amazing and the speaker is speaking and I'm absorbing it, but I'm not writing it down.

Speaker A

And then later, when I want to recall it, I can't because I didn't take my opportunity to document it.

Speaker A

I want to tell you, if you ever happen to sit beside me in any type of a mastermind, or if I'm at any type of a growth conference or something of that nature, of any type of thing, you'll see me with pen and paper or my phone or my iPad or something, taking notes.

Speaker A

And I like to use my remarkable.

Speaker A

It's a digital tablet, but whatever it is, I'm taking notes so that I can go back and review it later.

Speaker A

Well, I want to invite you to take notes on today's session.

Speaker A

And if you're driving and you can, not a big deal.

Speaker A

Remember what I said about bookmarking this and saving this to go back and listen to later, but get in a quiet place later where you can focus on this and take some notes.

Speaker A

That doesn't mean stop listening.

Speaker A

It just means listen to it again.

Speaker A

All right, if you lean into this today, here's my commitment to you.

Speaker A

If you lean into this today, you'll leave today with your next moves clear.

Speaker A

And you're going to leave internal with your fire set.

Speaker A

You're just going to leave with your internal fire absolutely lit.

Speaker A

So again, my commitment to you today is that if you lean into today's podcast, you'll leave today with clarity and with your internal fire absolutely lit.

Speaker A

And the reason why I can say that is because today I'm going to be speaking to you heavily about goals.

Speaker A

And all of you have different goals, but your goals are unique to you.

Speaker A

Now, here's what I want to tell you before I go into our questions, because what I'm going to take you through today is I'm going to pose six short questions to you just like I would in a coaching session.

Speaker A

But before I do, I'm going to phrase a couple things to you that I think that are important.

Speaker A

So here's the first one.

Speaker A

Big goals will always require intentional lift.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Gosh, that is fire right there.

Speaker A

That's a leadership truth bomb right there.

Speaker A

Big goals will always require intentional lift.

Speaker A

In other words, sometimes people stumble upon success, but most of the time it's intentional, it's by design.

Speaker A

In other words, they have focus on it.

Speaker A

They at least have focus on where they want to go or what they're headed.

Speaker A

And sometimes they'll stumble upon the path that actually brought them success.

Speaker A

But they were clear on initially what they were trying to achieve from the beginning.

Speaker A

Big goals require intentional lift.

Speaker A

And the second one I want to give you before we jump into our questions is just like a plane needs force to overcome gravity, your goals will require intentional and aggressive action to overcome inertia.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Just like a plane needs force to overcome gravity, your goals will require intentional aggressive action to overcome inertia.

Speaker A

What kind of inertia?

Speaker A

Sometimes it shows up like fear and stagnation.

Speaker A

You're going to need intentional and aggressive action to overcome inertia, fear and stagnation when it comes to your goals.

Speaker A

Why?

Speaker A

Because just like that plane that's trying to take off, you have things in the natural that are trying to hold you down or pull you down.

Speaker A

Whether it be gravity or whether it be drag, whatever it is.

Speaker A

You have things that forces that are trying to work against you to stop you from being successful.

Speaker A

And sometimes the greatest forces that work against you, sometimes the greatest forces that will sabotage you are right in here in your heart and right in here in your head in your heart.

Speaker A

Those are the lack of beliefs you have about yourself and in your head.

Speaker A

Those are the things that you believe or that have been conditioned into you that others believe about you, or your fears about what others believe about you.

Speaker A

Or maybe you feel you're not qualified or that you have an imposter syndrome or you're a fraud or whatever.

Speaker A

And I'm going to tell you, you got to squash all of that.

Speaker A

Remember, big goals require intentional lift.

Speaker A

And you got to push against those things so that you can punch through.

Speaker A

So the first question I'm going to take you to, and remember I said that I have six questions I'm going to walk you through today.

Speaker A

The first question I want to walk you through today is I want you to start to focus on what your six month goals are.

Speaker A

Now I will tell you that sometimes people at the end of the year or the beginning of the year, they'll write Down a whole bunch of goals they want to do what people who specialize in these areas, they will tell you that you should usually only have about three to five goals max at any one time that you're doing.

Speaker A

And if you're going to try and line out your goals for the whole year, you should never really go past about 7 to 10.

Speaker A

But I'm going to tell you the sweet spot is 3 to 5.

Speaker A

But sometimes people think in just these linear ways where everything's in a box.

Speaker A

In other words, it's like, well, if I'm going to set my goals up, they got to be for the whole year.

Speaker A

Says who?

Speaker A

I mean, why not set a 60 day goal and then you can follow that with another 60 day goal and then you do a few of those and guess what?

Speaker A

All of a sudden now you've got a lot of stuff that you've done.

Speaker A

Or maybe for you it's you do quarterly goals or maybe you do a six month goal.

Speaker A

Like I'm telling you now, why wait till the end of the year to find out if you hit it or not?

Speaker A

You know, using like a baseball analogy, you know, sometimes people set up their goals at the beginning of the year and then at the very end of the year when they're setting up their goals for the following year, they're examining that they swung for the fence, but did they even hit the ball or did they miss it completely?

Speaker A

And what happens in most cases, most people actually forget their goals within three weeks from the time that they set them.

Speaker A

Oh, man, I'm telling you, that's a staggering stat.

Speaker A

But most people forget their goals within three weeks from the time that they set them.

Speaker A

And I'm going to tell you that's a significant thing.

Speaker A

But you champion, I believe you're different.

Speaker A

In fact, remember, I believe in you.

Speaker A

I believe in you and your ability.

Speaker A

And you showing up to this podcast today to listen or to watch it proves that.

Speaker A

Because that's why I believe in you.

Speaker A

Because there's a lot of other things you could be watching.

Speaker A

There's a lot of other things you can be listening to that might have more entertainment value for you.

Speaker A

But you're not just after the entertainment value, you're after the growth.

Speaker A

You're trying to connect with your best self and your best life.

Speaker A

So when we start off today in our questions, I want you to start focusing on what those six month goals are and how are you going to keep those in front of you so you don't become one of those other people that three Weeks in, you've forgotten all about them.

Speaker A

Define success clearly.

Speaker A

Fuzzy goals don't fly.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Define your success clearly.

Speaker A

Fuzzy goals don't fly.

Speaker A

There's someone who I like listening to and I see as a personal mentor, and her name is Terri Savelle Foy.

Speaker A

And I think she is wonderful.

Speaker A

And every time I get to see her speak and I go to one of her conferences, every single year, she has a next conference that she does usually in November.

Speaker A

And I go to that as a staple conference every single year because it feeds me, it feeds my faith, but it also feeds my personal development.

Speaker A

And one of the things that she says is that vague goals produce vague results, man.

Speaker A

That calls it out nice and clear.

Speaker A

Vague goals produce vague results.

Speaker A

So remember, define success clearly.

Speaker A

Fuzzy goals don't fly.

Speaker A

But precise goals create powerful lift, man.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Precise goals create powerful lift.

Speaker A

If your goals sound like this, I want to lose weight by the end of the year or I want to save money by the end of the year.

Speaker A

Those goals are so vague because when you say, I want to lose weight by the end of the year, do you realize you could lose half a pound by the end of the year?

Speaker A

And technically you would have hit your goal?

Speaker A

Because remember, that's a fuzzy goal.

Speaker A

Be intentional when you create your goals and don't play it safe, shoot big for it.

Speaker A

Push yourself.

Speaker A

Learn how to dig deep.

Speaker A

Get out of that comfort zone and rip off that comfort blanket and dig in deep.

Speaker A

If you know you need to lose weight, be honest with yourself.

Speaker A

How much weight do you want to lose and how much weight do you need to lose?

Speaker A

If it's £20, then you be legit about that thing.

Speaker A

Call it out as it is.

Speaker A

Keep it real.

Speaker A

Keep it real with brother Neil, anyways, 20 pounds.

Speaker A

Then name that 20 pounds.

Speaker A

Name it more specifically, rather than saying 20 pounds, go weigh yourself and figure out what the number on the scale would be if you subtract the 20 from it and start calling that thing out.

Speaker A

If you want to save money by the end of the year, understand at the end of the year, if you save $1, you save money, you hit your goal.

Speaker A

But I don't think that's what you were aiming for.

Speaker A

Maybe for you, you want to say 5,000 or 10,000 or 50,000 or 100,000, whatever it is, you're all on different levels.

Speaker A

But you got to call it out exact.

Speaker A

The second thing I want to take you to or second question for you to think about today.

Speaker A

Is aggressiveness of action.

Speaker A

That's what I want you to focus on, is how aggressive are you being with your actions.

Speaker A

Specifically, are you pushing with enough force to create lift or are you just coasting?

Speaker A

Are you pushing with enough force to create lift or are you just coasting?

Speaker A

You know, if you were going to take a trip and understand I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, if I were going to try and leave from Fort Worth, Texas, and head to Florida, if I get in a plane, you know, that plane technically could go down every highway through Texas and across, you know, the different states until it got to Florida.

Speaker A

And technically, I had to get there in the plane.

Speaker A

It might have some challenges maneuvering because of the width of it, but technically, it can take me in the plane on the ground the whole way.

Speaker A

But that's not what the design of the airplane is designed for.

Speaker A

That's not its purpose.

Speaker A

It's fulfilling.

Speaker A

The purpose of the airplane is to take off and get me there faster because it's taking a shorter route by going through the air and it's hitting greater speeds.

Speaker A

In other words, you have to be focused.

Speaker A

Are you aggressive in your actions or are you playing it safe?

Speaker A

You have to push with enough force that you create lift.

Speaker A

Don't just get caught coasting.

Speaker A

The third thing I want to tell you, or third question for you, is learning from past wins.

Speaker A

Man, I'm going to tell you, this is so significant.

Speaker A

When I'm working with my clients, oftentimes when they're facing a block in front of them and they're trying to figure out what that next, how to break through that next level, I often take them back and ask them a question, like, tell me about a time when you already had a significant win.

Speaker A

Tell me about how you accomplished that.

Speaker A

What were the conditions that were happening at that time?

Speaker A

And they walk me all through this scenario, and then I tell them, if you were to reproduce that thing today, what would you have to have learned from that other time to make today successful?

Speaker A

And then they start recognizing, you know, whether it fits in the area of weight loss or fitness.

Speaker A

Sometimes they start thinking about how they ate.

Speaker A

You know, maybe the things they added or the things they took away.

Speaker A

Maybe it's around the workouts or something like that.

Speaker A

There's just so many different things.

Speaker A

So learn from past wins.

Speaker A

Specifically, use history as a teacher.

Speaker A

Oh, I must say that again.

Speaker A

Learn to use history as a teacher and understand that what got you here may not get you there.

Speaker A

Who fire.

Speaker A

I'm going to say it again.

Speaker A

What Got you here, may not get you there.

Speaker A

Learn to use history as your teacher, but also understand, you know, they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing on repeat over and over again and expecting a different result.

Speaker A

If you want breakthrough and you need lift off to get to a new height, you're going to have to be willing to do something you haven't done before.

Speaker A

And let me help the people who are already successful, because oftentimes these messages speak real easy to the people who aren't having success and trying to find that next level.

Speaker A

But one of the things that I specialize in, especially within my business, is helping people scale their businesses.

Speaker A

Whether if it's the person trying to scale to seven figures or the company trying to scale from seven to eight or eight to nine figures, but really radically growing their company in a short period of time, but to where it sticks and it lasts and they continue growing.

Speaker A

The best way for you to grow and understand this and this, I'm going to tell you, this is going to hit my people who are already high performers, who have already found success.

Speaker A

Some of you think, well, I already know the things that I've done that have got me here and I'm pretty successful, so I'm just going to keep doing this thing and wait for me to hit my next level.

Speaker A

Yeah, you can do that.

Speaker A

And it may work or it may not work, but if you want to get there a lot faster, then you got to figure out how do you get a little more lift under your system.

Speaker A

In other words, what new systems do you need to employ, what new processes do you need to incorporate, what new growth or what new understanding you need?

Speaker A

Maybe you simply need to get around a stronger networking community.

Speaker A

Who they've been there, done that, or they think in bigger ways to where now all of a sudden you want to think in bigger ways too.

Speaker A

You know, if you want to fly high in the sky, you can't hang out with all the pigeons, right?

Speaker A

You know, all the pigeons, where do they like to hang out?

Speaker A

They like to hang out on the ground and they fly.

Speaker A

But they fly and they land on top of houses or buildings or whatever.

Speaker A

And.

Speaker A

But you know what?

Speaker A

If you want to be an eagle, you can't be hanging out with the pigeons.

Speaker A

How many times have you ever seen a flock of pigeons and you look over and there's an eagle in the middle?

Speaker A

I mean, that's just, that's so silly.

Speaker A

That did not happen.

Speaker A

I mean, unless he's going for a carryout, that is not happening right there.

Speaker A

There, the eagles fly different.

Speaker A

You see pigeons commonly all over the ground.

Speaker A

But if you want to see an eagle, you want to know why most people don't see eagles?

Speaker A

Because most people are always looking down rather than looking up.

Speaker A

Oh, man, that speaks right there.

Speaker A

You got to train yourself that this is the direction we're headed.

Speaker A

High performer, we're moving forward and upward.

Speaker A

Again, we're moving forward and upward.

Speaker A

The next question that I have for you, this is question four is fear.

Speaker A

This is what I refer to as our fear and avoidance Check in.

Speaker A

This is going to hit deep on some of you.

Speaker A

The weight of fear is like drag against your wings.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

The weight of fear is like drag against your wings.

Speaker A

In other words, it'll try to pull you back down or slow you down from moving as fast as you could.

Speaker A

You know, let's just call it how we see it.

Speaker A

You've got to learn how to identify when something's trying to pull you down or hold you back.

Speaker A

And you've got to acknowledge that thing so you can punch through it and break through that resistance.

Speaker A

What are the things that are impacting you today?

Speaker A

You know, if I'm working with my clients one on one, oftentimes the way I'll frame this is I'll ask them, hey, what could get in your way of success if you were to allow it to in this area?

Speaker A

And when they mark down their goals proactively, I have them ask the question of themselves.

Speaker A

What could stop you from hitting this goal rather than just waiting till they encounter it, what can stop them ahead of time?

Speaker A

This is so significant because this helps people understand proactively, what are the things that can get in my way.

Speaker A

And once you know what those are, you know how to watch for them better and you know how to be more guarded against them.

Speaker A

I'm telling you this is a significant recipe on how to break through.

Speaker A

And also understand this because I told you that this question was based around fear and avoidance.

Speaker A

Sometimes your own success that's waiting for you.

Speaker A

The only thing that's causing you drag or trying to pull you down or distract you is your own fears.

Speaker A

What's going to happen?

Speaker A

The what if, what if, what if scenario, and you've heard me say in other shows that the what if scenario, the what if cases, that's the devil's territory.

Speaker A

You have to be able to break free from those fears.

Speaker A

You have to break free from those self doubts.

Speaker A

And you have to understand you were created for more and you were created for better.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

You've been created for more, and you've been created for better.

Speaker A

You just have to learn how to push through.

Speaker A

Now, that brings us to question number five.

Speaker A

Question five deals with next steps for real momentum.

Speaker A

Again, question five are your next steps for real momentum.

Speaker A

Small steps don't create big lift.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.

Speaker A

Fire, man, I'm telling you, small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.

Speaker A

Remember that our whole course today, or I say our course, but the route we're paving here, whatever you want to call it, well, we're talking about day centers around the law of lift.

Speaker A

And I'm talking to you specifically about your goal setting and how to achieve them.

Speaker A

But I'm also talking to you about how to set balance, big, audacious goals.

Speaker A

You know, this is a different kind of podcast.

Speaker A

This isn't a podcast that's just meant for just, you know, just anybody, average Joe.

Speaker A

This is a podcast where people come to.

Speaker A

To grow, man.

Speaker A

People come to this podcast who are already on the success pathway of life.

Speaker A

You know, sometimes you hear me talk about the Ladder of Ascension.

Speaker A

In fact, I had a podcast a couple days ago or a few days ago that came out with that, and I talked about the different rungs on the ladder, how you have the first rung, and that's the entry people, and then you go higher up.

Speaker A

But when you get to the very top man, you're now in some elite space.

Speaker A

This is an elite podcast designed for elite people.

Speaker A

Now, understand before you raise this question, well, maybe I shouldn't be listening to this podcast.

Speaker A

What creates an elite person always starts with their mindset, and it starts with what's right in here in your heart.

Speaker A

You know, I will tell you that long before I ever turned into the executive that I am today, I first saw myself being able to do it.

Speaker A

I saw myself being able to do it, and I believed in myself.

Speaker A

And even when maybe others couldn't see it or didn't see it, I knew it was there.

Speaker A

And even when maybe others would try to put me down or say negative things about me, man, that stuff just rinsed and washed right off me.

Speaker A

It didn't even stick.

Speaker A

It didn't even leave a nasty little residue.

Speaker A

That stuff just bounced right off me.

Speaker A

Because I knew better in here in my heart and I knew better in here in my mind that that's not who I was.

Speaker A

I didn't need to be concerned about other people's words shaping who I was or who I would be.

Speaker A

Because in my mind and in my heart, I already knew the potential that God had created me to be.

Speaker A

Now I'm going to tell you this.

Speaker A

I may have not known fully what he had called me to be, but I knew that when he created Neil, he took his time on this one.

Speaker A

He carved and paid attention to every little detail.

Speaker A

And he put his very, very best in me, just like I know he did in you.

Speaker A

That's why I believe in you.

Speaker A

You hear me say that so many times over and over on this podcast.

Speaker A

You're going to hear me say it more before we close this podcast.

Speaker A

I believe in you, Champion.

Speaker A

Why?

Speaker A

Because I know the one who made you, and I know what he put in you.

Speaker A

And I know the greatness that he has in you that he's ready to call out if you allow him to bring it out of you.

Speaker A

You.

Speaker A

And I believe he connected you with this podcast, whether you're a believer or not.

Speaker A

Because even though you may not believe in him, he does believe in you.

Speaker A

And he knows the exact kind of mind food you need to grow that inner greatness that's inside of you, man.

Speaker A

I'm telling you, I'm fired up about that.

Speaker A

And I want you to know how much I believe in you and how much I know he believes in you.

Speaker A

Small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.

Speaker A

Maybe for you, the bold move you need to make right now is you need to connect with that same type of mindset that I have, that same thing for the person who was out there, and I felt it in the spirit for the person who was out there who said, man, I wish I could think about myself the way Neil does.

Speaker A

You're one step away from that.

Speaker A

You're one quality decision from that.

Speaker A

Maybe you haven't heard others teach on a level like that where they've talked about believing in themselves like that.

Speaker A

But I'm telling you, you.

Speaker A

You've got it in you.

Speaker A

Because God is no respecter of persons.

Speaker A

The way he designs one person, he'll design another person the same way.

Speaker A

But you know what he is a respecter of?

Speaker A

He's a respecter of faith, and he's a respecter of action.

Speaker A

Whoa.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Give me phone.

Speaker A

Preach myself happy over here.

Speaker A

He's a respecter of faith and he's a respecter of action.

Speaker A

Here's another way of saying that for you, you, He's a respecter of belief and Action.

Speaker A

In other words, he respects when you believe in him and you believe in yourself.

Speaker A

And he respects when you take action to go and do what you're called to do.

Speaker A

Man, I'm telling you, that's powerful right there.

Speaker A

And if you're sitting along waiting for all the steps to fall in place before you take momentum, Understand, small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.

Speaker A

And the boldest move you can take is step one.

Speaker A

Step out and do the thing you already know you're supposed to do.

Speaker A

And when you step out and do it, don't do it with trepidation or with fear or being scared or anxiety.

Speaker A

Step out and do it bold.

Speaker A

And if you're scared, then do it anyway, striver, because you've got it inside you.

Speaker A

Step out and take a bold action.

Speaker A

But what I know on the other side, especially as a spiritual big brother, is that when you take that first step, he'll meet you there and he'll show you step number two.

Speaker A

And when you take step number two, he'll show you step three and then step four and step five and step six.

Speaker A

And if you notice just the way I mention it right now, how it picked up in pace, the faster you pick up and pace, he'll meet you there.

Speaker A

Because you can't outpace God.

Speaker A

You can't outrun God.

Speaker A

You can let go of his hand and take off without him, and then you'll get lost.

Speaker A

But when you're holding his hand, you can never outpace him and you can never outrun them.

Speaker A

Take your bold step today.

Speaker A

And that brings us to our sixth step that I have for you today, or I'm sorry I say sixth step.

Speaker A

I apologize.

Speaker A

My sixth question for you today, and it's in the area of commitment.

Speaker A

It's a commitment challenge.

Speaker A

Success demands aggressive intentionality.

Speaker A

So, that being said, what are you willing to stake your future on?

Speaker A

Oh, man, I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

Success demands it.

Speaker A

Doesn't ask for it, it doesn't suggest.

Speaker A

Demands it.

Speaker A

Success demands aggressive intentionality.

Speaker A

What are you willing to stake your future on?

Speaker A

Now, I know that's big, but you didn't show up here to be small.

Speaker A

I'm going to say that again.

Speaker A

I know that's big, but you didn't show up to this podcast and listen all the way up until now just so you could be small.

Speaker A

You didn't show up to the podcast the day before, the day before.

Speaker A

Or you won't show up to tomorrow's podcast and listen to the next episode because you're hoping to stay small.

Speaker A

You have something different in you.

Speaker A

You're created different.

Speaker A

Now, I said God's no respecter of persons, but you've got God DNA on the inside of you.

Speaker A

And he does it big.

Speaker A

He's doing it big.

Speaker A

You know, he doesn't think small.

Speaker A

In fact, it tells us scripturally that no man understands the depth or breadth or height or width of the Lord's understanding.

Speaker A

No eye, what eye has seen, what ear has heard, the fullness and the measure of his glory and his grace, none have.

Speaker A

But when you connect with them, he'll take you to new heights.

Speaker A

Because, striver, we're moving forward and upward.

Speaker A

We've got the law of lift on our side.

Speaker A

We're moving forward and upward.

Speaker A

And I'm fired up for you about this.

Speaker A

I will tell you that as we close today, I want to give you a bold call to action.

Speaker A

What's the thing that's been holding you back?

Speaker A

In other words, let me take it a step forward rather than what's the thing that's been holding you back?

Speaker A

Stop focusing on the problem and start focusing on the solution.

Speaker A

Here's the solution.

Speaker A

Clarity.

Speaker A

What's the thing you know you've been called to do?

Speaker A

Maybe it's you need to get up and write that book.

Speaker A

Maybe it's you need to open that business or that bakery.

Speaker A

Or maybe you need to enroll back in college and go after that degree you know you're supposed to have.

Speaker A

I don't care if you're in your 50s.

Speaker A

Who cares about that?

Speaker A

If someone's telling you in your mind that, oh, but then you're going to be this old when you do it.

Speaker A

Who cares about that?

Speaker A

And when you arrive on campus for your first day of class and you have a bunch of kids that just got out of high school around you, who cares about that?

Speaker A

You have to push against that nonsense.

Speaker A

Did it ever occur to you that rather than them looking at you and making fun of you, that maybe they might be looking at you and thinking, man, that person, they're much older than me.

Speaker A

But they're going at it.

Speaker A

They're still looking at improving themselves and growing.

Speaker A

And you know who those kids know who are around your same age?

Speaker A

Possibly it's their parents.

Speaker A

And maybe all they've seen all their life as their parents talk about shoulda, coulda, would've, shoulda, coulda, would've.

Speaker A

They should have done this.

Speaker A

They would have done this.

Speaker A

They wish they could have done this.

Speaker A

You know what?

Speaker A

That's not who you are.

Speaker A

Striver you got something different on the inside of you.

Speaker A

You got the champion living in you.

Speaker A

And I believe in you.

Speaker A

And I believe you can go and smash this thing.

Speaker A

And what I will tell you is, who cares if you break a few eggs along the way?

Speaker A

Go break some eggs.

Speaker A

You break enough eggs, you're going to figure out eventually how to not break eggs and how to do it right.

Speaker A

Shoot for the stars.

Speaker A

Remember, forward and upward is how we move.

Speaker A

You're a champion who's designed to move forward and upward.

Speaker A

Now, the law of lift.

Speaker A

I want to remind you about this.

Speaker A

The law of lift is real, but it's also waiting on you.

Speaker A

Oh, man, that speaks right there.

Speaker A

The law of lift is real, but it's also waiting on you.

Speaker A

Don't let gravity win today.

Speaker A

If the only thing you're facing today and you're trying to figure out who your adversary is, when you're moving forward and upward, your adversary is gravity, because it wants to pull you down and it wants to hold you down.

Speaker A

Now, I'm not talking about real gravity.

Speaker A

I'm talking about gravity and success, just in case you got lost there.

Speaker A

But gravity of success, don't allow gravity to win today.

Speaker A

You push back against that thing.

Speaker A

How do you push back against it?

Speaker A

You push back against it by making the commitment.

Speaker A

Then you take the step, then you push that air down, and you watch your life lift.

Speaker A

Whoa, man.

Speaker A

I'm telling you, that solid right there.

Speaker A

You start by making the commitment.

Speaker A

Am I going to take off down the Runway or am I going to stay stuck in park?

Speaker A

Nope, you're the champion.

Speaker A

Who's a striver?

Speaker A

You're going to move forward and upward.

Speaker A

You're going to take off down the Runway.

Speaker A

You're taking the first step.

Speaker A

You're going to push that air down, and you're going to discover your lift.

Speaker A

That's who you are, striver.

Speaker A

That's who God has created you to be.

Speaker A

And I want to remind you, because this is so important, this today isn't just another podcast episode.

Speaker A

I told you before that I was going to encourage you to bookmark it and to save it and to come back to it and listen to it periodically.

Speaker A

Because no matter where you're at in life, whether if it's now or the six months down the road and you smashed all those goals and now you're looking for the next set of goals, or it's in a year, two years, doesn't matter.

Speaker A

This is a staple teacher teaching.

Speaker A

It's an evergreen teaching.

Speaker A

This isn't just another podcast Episode.

Speaker A

This episode, today.

Speaker A

This is your ignition sequence.

Speaker A

Whoa.

Speaker A

That's a fire statement right there.

Speaker A

Remember, we're talking about the law of lift today, and this isn't just another podcast episode.

Speaker A

This is your ignition sequence.

Speaker A

What are you going to do with it?

Speaker A

It guys, and I want to take you through just one more thing, and then I'm going to let you go.

Speaker A

And really, I just want to take you through some type of encouragement that I can help you to seal the deal on this.

Speaker A

I'm going to ask you to repeat this phrase after me, but I want you to say it in a bold manner, and you have to believe it.

Speaker A

You're going to say this in a bold manner.

Speaker A

In other words, you don't say it like a question.

Speaker A

You say it because you believe it.

Speaker A

And you know, so many times I'm going to share this because I just had this picture so many times when I'm listening to teachings or have listened to podcasts or courses or something, when I'm working out, there's times where I'm on the treadmill and I'm working out or I'm on the elliptical machine or something and I hear them say to do something inside of you.

Speaker A

They'll say something out loud.

Speaker A

And I'm over there saying it on the treadmill and the person next to me looking at me like, is he talking?

Speaker A

Talking to me?

Speaker A

You know, I might be saying, I'm more than enough.

Speaker A

I'm more than enough.

Speaker A

I'm more than enough.

Speaker A

And you know, the person next to me or behind me is like, he's more than enough than that treadmill, I guess, you see, I got earbuds on at that moment.

Speaker A

They don't need to hear what I'm saying.

Speaker A

In other words, here's the deal.

Speaker A

They don't hear the same thing I'm hearing, but I don't need them to for me to believe it.

Speaker A

You know, when you got earbuds on, you're hearing something nobody else does.

Speaker A

When you're listening to this podcast, you're hearing something.

Speaker A

But more than anything, when you touch down inside of you and you start hearing that voice of God that says, I believe in you.

Speaker A

I believe in you, champion.

Speaker A

I believe in you, son.

Speaker A

I believe in you, daughter.

Speaker A

I believe in you, child.

Speaker A

I believe in you, champion.

Speaker A

When you do that, who.

Speaker A

They may not hear that on the outside, but they don't need to, because you hear it in here in your heart, and you hear it in here in your mind, and you believe in yourself and continue to show up Every day, even when others don't.

Speaker A

And if you have a good support structure around you, all the better.

Speaker A

You're a big baller now, boy, but you got to just keep pushing, and you got to shatter those goals that you're after.

Speaker A

So here's what I want you to repeat after me and do it bold.

Speaker A

And if you.

Speaker A

It's even more powerful if you can look in the mirror or turn your phone on and.

Speaker A

Well, your phone's probably already on if you're listening to this.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker A

But somehow look at yourself.

Speaker A

Look in your rearview mirror if you can, but keep your eye on the road at the same time, but look in the mirror if you can.

Speaker A

Or, you know, turn your camera on and look at your camera in reverse mode if it's possible.

Speaker A

But I want you to say this.

Speaker A

I am intentional.

Speaker A

I am aggressive.

Speaker A

I create my own lift.

Speaker A

Now we're going to do it two more times.

Speaker A

Actually, we're going to do this now.

Speaker A

Now that you know what we're saying, we're going to say it three times in a row.

Speaker A

I am intentional.

Speaker A

I am aggressive.

Speaker A

I create my own lift.

Speaker A

Again, I am intentional.

Speaker A

I am aggressive.

Speaker A

I create my own lift.

Speaker A

I am intentional.

Speaker A

I am aggressive.

Speaker A

I create my own lift.

Speaker A

Whoa.

Speaker A

That's how you do it right there.

Speaker A

Big baller.

Speaker A

Big balla baller.
