Speaker AWhat's up, Champion?
Speaker AThis is your host, Neal Reyes, and.
Speaker CI want to welcome you to the Executive Perspective.
Speaker CFor years, I struggled to answer the question, what do you do for a living?
Speaker CWhy?
Speaker CBecause most people who ask only expect to hear one thing.
Speaker CI'm an executive with a deep level of understanding of business, operations, leadership, and technology.
Speaker CI'm also the president and founder of a worldwide ministry and CEO of an executive coaching and consulting firm.
Speaker CMy number one passion is people, and I receive significant gratitude in life from sowing into others and encouraging them as they grow to achieve their fullest potential.
Speaker CIf you're a high performance individual like me, or you're simply ready to take your business leadership or inner potential to the next level, then strap in because.
Speaker CBecause I'm locked in and all in.
Speaker CThis is the Executive Perspective.
Speaker AHey, what's up, champions?
Speaker AThis is your host, Neal, and I want to welcome you back to the Executive Perspective with Neal Reyes.
Speaker AMan, I am fired up about today's show and I'm super excited that you've joined us as we continue to grow together in the areas of leadership, business strategy, and personal development.
Speaker AToday, I have a topic that I believe is a barn burner, and I'm excited to bring it to you.
Speaker AToday I'm going to speak with you about something that I refer to as the law of Lyft.
Speaker ANow, you might be thinking airplanes.
Speaker AVery similar.
Speaker AI'm going to take you through what I coach some one on one clients, and I refer to this coaching session as the law of lift.
Speaker ANow, I'm going to start to frame this a little bit for you, but I believe that today's teaching is going to be so impactful for you that you're going to want to bookmark this episode and save it.
Speaker AThat way you can come back to it as a staple in your routine over and over again.
Speaker ABecause it's an evergreen teaching that will help to continue to spur you to move forward, forward and upward again.
Speaker AForward and upward.
Speaker AHave you ever felt like you're ready for more but maybe you just can't get off the ground?
Speaker AWell, today we're gonna fix that.
Speaker AI want to start off today by actually taking you to Newton's third law of motion.
Speaker ASo like I said, today we're talking about the law of lift.
Speaker AAnd I want to start off by opening up with Newton's third law of motion.
Speaker ANow, I want to paraphrase it a bit, so for all my, you know, physics majors out there and stuff, or all of my people in aviation, give me some grace.
Speaker ABut this is basically what the Newton's third law of motion states.
Speaker AIt basically states that for every action, there must be an opposite and equal reaction.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AFor every action, there's an opposite, an equal reaction.
Speaker AWell, that specifically comes into play in the area of the law of lift and specifically within aviation and airplanes.
Speaker AIf you ever study how airplanes take off, you know, and these are just wonders of the world when you think about it.
Speaker AYou know, sometimes you can have like a 90 ton plane or much heavier than that, something that should never be able to float.
Speaker AIn fact, it should just float, sink like a rock if you dropped it out of the air because of gravity.
Speaker ABut this defies the laws of gravity because the laws of lift.
Speaker AAnd this is basically what it is.
Speaker AWhen you have an airplane that's taxiing down the Runway and when they get the all clear to take off, what direction are they headed?
Speaker AThey're headed forward and upward, man.
Speaker AI talk about that all the time on this podcast.
Speaker AOur direction is forward and upward.
Speaker ABut what happens is, as they're giving the throttle wide open, they're giving it all the power to get off the ground because they're fighting against gravity, they're fighting against other types of things, drag and stuff.
Speaker ABut as they're giving it all the power, eventually what happens is that plane begins to take off and lift up in the air.
Speaker AAnd what's happening in that moment is that the wings of that aircraft are actually pushing down against the air.
Speaker ASo that's the first part of Newton's law, that's the action.
Speaker AThe wings are pushing down against the air.
Speaker ABut the air, even though it may not seem like it, the air has mass.
Speaker AAnd so what happens is that those wings press down against the mass or against the air's mass.
Speaker AWell, there's an opposite and equal reaction, meaning the mass of the air pushes back against the wing.
Speaker AThat's where you get lift.
Speaker AI'm going to tell you that this is a powerful principle to understand because in success in life, it operates much the same as the law of lift in natural physics.
Speaker ANow, what I want you to understand is that when an airplane is taking off, what pilots will tell you is that airplanes use the majority of their fuel actually taking off.
Speaker AIn fact, what happens is after that airplane takes off and gets in the air, the pilots have to pull back on the throttle because that power is wide open to get it off the ground.
Speaker ABut if they don't pull back on that power, they'll tear that plane into pieces, it'll tear apart.
Speaker AWhat happens?
Speaker AThey actually pull it back because what happens is momentum gets behind them.
Speaker AIn other words, what happens is with that lift and as they're ascending, they don't require as much power anymore to actually go faster than they were when they were taken off off the ground.
Speaker AGosh, I'm telling you, this has so many parallels in what I'm going to teach you today.
Speaker ABut basically what I want to explain to you is this.
Speaker AIf you want to experience real lift within your life and in your leadership, then it's time to get intentional and it's time to get aggressive.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AIf you want to experience real lift in your life and your leadership, then it's time for you to get intentional and it's time for you to get aggressive.
Speaker AToday I'm going to be taking you through today's episode and it's going to parallel a one on one coaching session with me.
Speaker ANow, it's not exact because when I'm in a one on one coaching session, you know, there's three things I'm doing in every session.
Speaker AI'm supporting, I'm pushing, and then I'm pushing hard.
Speaker ANow, those aren't the only three things, but those are three basic summaries of what a great coach does when I'm Working with clients like that, there's questions.
Speaker AI'm posing questions to them and I'm listening to their voice and to the reactions.
Speaker AI'm going deeper into those things.
Speaker AI'm taking them into places where I can help them have their biggest breakthroughs.
Speaker AAnd so the one thing that's different about today is I don't get to hear your answers back.
Speaker ABut I'm going to frame this like a one on one coaching session.
Speaker AAnd so if today feels a little different, just understand that it's designed to feel different.
Speaker AThis is something that in praying about what I should do, and just so you know, I pray about all of my podcast episodes, about what I should be speaking on, but in doing so, I felt impressed to take you through the law of lift and through a deep dive with me today.
Speaker AI also want to let you know that we're going to do this right here, right now.
Speaker AWe're going to jump right into this thing.
Speaker ABefore we do, though, I think that this is going to be so impressive for you.
Speaker AAnd when I say impressive, what I mean is it's going to have such an impression on your life if you dig into this that I want to encourage you to grab something to take notes with today, whether that be a notebook or if you have your phone, if you have a notes app on your phone or something of that nature, grab something to take notes with.
Speaker AYou know, you should never leave the success of your future relying upon your memory.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AYou should never leave your future success to have to rely upon your memory.
Speaker ANow, certainly you want to have a good memory and I'm believing you've got that striver.
Speaker ABut at the same time, sometimes people hear things and they think, I'll remember that forever.
Speaker AAnd sometimes you can hear something and it seems so profound and loud and inside of you that you think you'll never forget that.
Speaker ABut when you leave that moment, you may have known there was something profound, but you can't recall what it was anymore.
Speaker AOther times you may think, that man, that was so strong, but what was it?
Speaker AOr sometimes you don't even remember that there was something profound from it.
Speaker AI'm going to tell you this is a principle of learning.
Speaker AThis is a principle of growth.
Speaker AAnd even if you will remember it, when you write it down, it makes even.
Speaker AIt just helps you to be even more successful.
Speaker AI do this whenever I hear things from the Lord, like when he speaks to me, especially something strong, I'll stop and I'll either put it on a voice recorder, or I'll write it down so I remember it.
Speaker AAnd there are times where it's so strong, I'll ask him, lord, will you please inscribe that on the tablet of my heart so that I never forget that.
Speaker AAnd I learned that because there were plenty of times where he would speak to me and something was profound, or I'm in a session, I'm listening to a speaker, or I'm in a teaching, or it's a sermon or something, but I'm listening to something amazing and the speaker is speaking and I'm absorbing it, but I'm not writing it down.
Speaker AAnd then later, when I want to recall it, I can't because I didn't take my opportunity to document it.
Speaker AI want to tell you, if you ever happen to sit beside me in any type of a mastermind, or if I'm at any type of a growth conference or something of that nature, of any type of thing, you'll see me with pen and paper or my phone or my iPad or something, taking notes.
Speaker AAnd I like to use my remarkable.
Speaker AIt's a digital tablet, but whatever it is, I'm taking notes so that I can go back and review it later.
Speaker AWell, I want to invite you to take notes on today's session.
Speaker AAnd if you're driving and you can, not a big deal.
Speaker ARemember what I said about bookmarking this and saving this to go back and listen to later, but get in a quiet place later where you can focus on this and take some notes.
Speaker AThat doesn't mean stop listening.
Speaker AIt just means listen to it again.
Speaker AAll right, if you lean into this today, here's my commitment to you.
Speaker AIf you lean into this today, you'll leave today with your next moves clear.
Speaker AAnd you're going to leave internal with your fire set.
Speaker AYou're just going to leave with your internal fire absolutely lit.
Speaker ASo again, my commitment to you today is that if you lean into today's podcast, you'll leave today with clarity and with your internal fire absolutely lit.
Speaker AAnd the reason why I can say that is because today I'm going to be speaking to you heavily about goals.
Speaker AAnd all of you have different goals, but your goals are unique to you.
Speaker ANow, here's what I want to tell you before I go into our questions, because what I'm going to take you through today is I'm going to pose six short questions to you just like I would in a coaching session.
Speaker ABut before I do, I'm going to phrase a couple things to you that I think that are important.
Speaker ASo here's the first one.
Speaker ABig goals will always require intentional lift.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AGosh, that is fire right there.
Speaker AThat's a leadership truth bomb right there.
Speaker ABig goals will always require intentional lift.
Speaker AIn other words, sometimes people stumble upon success, but most of the time it's intentional, it's by design.
Speaker AIn other words, they have focus on it.
Speaker AThey at least have focus on where they want to go or what they're headed.
Speaker AAnd sometimes they'll stumble upon the path that actually brought them success.
Speaker ABut they were clear on initially what they were trying to achieve from the beginning.
Speaker ABig goals require intentional lift.
Speaker AAnd the second one I want to give you before we jump into our questions is just like a plane needs force to overcome gravity, your goals will require intentional and aggressive action to overcome inertia.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AJust like a plane needs force to overcome gravity, your goals will require intentional aggressive action to overcome inertia.
Speaker AWhat kind of inertia?
Speaker ASometimes it shows up like fear and stagnation.
Speaker AYou're going to need intentional and aggressive action to overcome inertia, fear and stagnation when it comes to your goals.
Speaker AWhy?
Speaker ABecause just like that plane that's trying to take off, you have things in the natural that are trying to hold you down or pull you down.
Speaker AWhether it be gravity or whether it be drag, whatever it is.
Speaker AYou have things that forces that are trying to work against you to stop you from being successful.
Speaker AAnd sometimes the greatest forces that work against you, sometimes the greatest forces that will sabotage you are right in here in your heart and right in here in your head in your heart.
Speaker AThose are the lack of beliefs you have about yourself and in your head.
Speaker AThose are the things that you believe or that have been conditioned into you that others believe about you, or your fears about what others believe about you.
Speaker AOr maybe you feel you're not qualified or that you have an imposter syndrome or you're a fraud or whatever.
Speaker AAnd I'm going to tell you, you got to squash all of that.
Speaker ARemember, big goals require intentional lift.
Speaker AAnd you got to push against those things so that you can punch through.
Speaker ASo the first question I'm going to take you to, and remember I said that I have six questions I'm going to walk you through today.
Speaker AThe first question I want to walk you through today is I want you to start to focus on what your six month goals are.
Speaker ANow I will tell you that sometimes people at the end of the year or the beginning of the year, they'll write Down a whole bunch of goals they want to do what people who specialize in these areas, they will tell you that you should usually only have about three to five goals max at any one time that you're doing.
Speaker AAnd if you're going to try and line out your goals for the whole year, you should never really go past about 7 to 10.
Speaker ABut I'm going to tell you the sweet spot is 3 to 5.
Speaker ABut sometimes people think in just these linear ways where everything's in a box.
Speaker AIn other words, it's like, well, if I'm going to set my goals up, they got to be for the whole year.
Speaker ASays who?
Speaker AI mean, why not set a 60 day goal and then you can follow that with another 60 day goal and then you do a few of those and guess what?
Speaker AAll of a sudden now you've got a lot of stuff that you've done.
Speaker AOr maybe for you it's you do quarterly goals or maybe you do a six month goal.
Speaker ALike I'm telling you now, why wait till the end of the year to find out if you hit it or not?
Speaker AYou know, using like a baseball analogy, you know, sometimes people set up their goals at the beginning of the year and then at the very end of the year when they're setting up their goals for the following year, they're examining that they swung for the fence, but did they even hit the ball or did they miss it completely?
Speaker AAnd what happens in most cases, most people actually forget their goals within three weeks from the time that they set them.
Speaker AOh, man, I'm telling you, that's a staggering stat.
Speaker ABut most people forget their goals within three weeks from the time that they set them.
Speaker AAnd I'm going to tell you that's a significant thing.
Speaker ABut you champion, I believe you're different.
Speaker AIn fact, remember, I believe in you.
Speaker AI believe in you and your ability.
Speaker AAnd you showing up to this podcast today to listen or to watch it proves that.
Speaker ABecause that's why I believe in you.
Speaker ABecause there's a lot of other things you could be watching.
Speaker AThere's a lot of other things you can be listening to that might have more entertainment value for you.
Speaker ABut you're not just after the entertainment value, you're after the growth.
Speaker AYou're trying to connect with your best self and your best life.
Speaker ASo when we start off today in our questions, I want you to start focusing on what those six month goals are and how are you going to keep those in front of you so you don't become one of those other people that three Weeks in, you've forgotten all about them.
Speaker ADefine success clearly.
Speaker AFuzzy goals don't fly.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker ADefine your success clearly.
Speaker AFuzzy goals don't fly.
Speaker AThere's someone who I like listening to and I see as a personal mentor, and her name is Terri Savelle Foy.
Speaker AAnd I think she is wonderful.
Speaker AAnd every time I get to see her speak and I go to one of her conferences, every single year, she has a next conference that she does usually in November.
Speaker AAnd I go to that as a staple conference every single year because it feeds me, it feeds my faith, but it also feeds my personal development.
Speaker AAnd one of the things that she says is that vague goals produce vague results, man.
Speaker AThat calls it out nice and clear.
Speaker AVague goals produce vague results.
Speaker ASo remember, define success clearly.
Speaker AFuzzy goals don't fly.
Speaker ABut precise goals create powerful lift, man.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker APrecise goals create powerful lift.
Speaker AIf your goals sound like this, I want to lose weight by the end of the year or I want to save money by the end of the year.
Speaker AThose goals are so vague because when you say, I want to lose weight by the end of the year, do you realize you could lose half a pound by the end of the year?
Speaker AAnd technically you would have hit your goal?
Speaker ABecause remember, that's a fuzzy goal.
Speaker ABe intentional when you create your goals and don't play it safe, shoot big for it.
Speaker APush yourself.
Speaker ALearn how to dig deep.
Speaker AGet out of that comfort zone and rip off that comfort blanket and dig in deep.
Speaker AIf you know you need to lose weight, be honest with yourself.
Speaker AHow much weight do you want to lose and how much weight do you need to lose?
Speaker AIf it's £20, then you be legit about that thing.
Speaker ACall it out as it is.
Speaker AKeep it real.
Speaker AKeep it real with brother Neil, anyways, 20 pounds.
Speaker AThen name that 20 pounds.
Speaker AName it more specifically, rather than saying 20 pounds, go weigh yourself and figure out what the number on the scale would be if you subtract the 20 from it and start calling that thing out.
Speaker AIf you want to save money by the end of the year, understand at the end of the year, if you save $1, you save money, you hit your goal.
Speaker ABut I don't think that's what you were aiming for.
Speaker AMaybe for you, you want to say 5,000 or 10,000 or 50,000 or 100,000, whatever it is, you're all on different levels.
Speaker ABut you got to call it out exact.
Speaker AThe second thing I want to take you to or second question for you to think about today.
Speaker AIs aggressiveness of action.
Speaker AThat's what I want you to focus on, is how aggressive are you being with your actions.
Speaker ASpecifically, are you pushing with enough force to create lift or are you just coasting?
Speaker AAre you pushing with enough force to create lift or are you just coasting?
Speaker AYou know, if you were going to take a trip and understand I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, if I were going to try and leave from Fort Worth, Texas, and head to Florida, if I get in a plane, you know, that plane technically could go down every highway through Texas and across, you know, the different states until it got to Florida.
Speaker AAnd technically, I had to get there in the plane.
Speaker AIt might have some challenges maneuvering because of the width of it, but technically, it can take me in the plane on the ground the whole way.
Speaker ABut that's not what the design of the airplane is designed for.
Speaker AThat's not its purpose.
Speaker AIt's fulfilling.
Speaker AThe purpose of the airplane is to take off and get me there faster because it's taking a shorter route by going through the air and it's hitting greater speeds.
Speaker AIn other words, you have to be focused.
Speaker AAre you aggressive in your actions or are you playing it safe?
Speaker AYou have to push with enough force that you create lift.
Speaker ADon't just get caught coasting.
Speaker AThe third thing I want to tell you, or third question for you, is learning from past wins.
Speaker AMan, I'm going to tell you, this is so significant.
Speaker AWhen I'm working with my clients, oftentimes when they're facing a block in front of them and they're trying to figure out what that next, how to break through that next level, I often take them back and ask them a question, like, tell me about a time when you already had a significant win.
Speaker ATell me about how you accomplished that.
Speaker AWhat were the conditions that were happening at that time?
Speaker AAnd they walk me all through this scenario, and then I tell them, if you were to reproduce that thing today, what would you have to have learned from that other time to make today successful?
Speaker AAnd then they start recognizing, you know, whether it fits in the area of weight loss or fitness.
Speaker ASometimes they start thinking about how they ate.
Speaker AYou know, maybe the things they added or the things they took away.
Speaker AMaybe it's around the workouts or something like that.
Speaker AThere's just so many different things.
Speaker ASo learn from past wins.
Speaker ASpecifically, use history as a teacher.
Speaker AOh, I must say that again.
Speaker ALearn to use history as a teacher and understand that what got you here may not get you there.
Speaker AWho fire.
Speaker AI'm going to say it again.
Speaker AWhat Got you here, may not get you there.
Speaker ALearn to use history as your teacher, but also understand, you know, they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing on repeat over and over again and expecting a different result.
Speaker AIf you want breakthrough and you need lift off to get to a new height, you're going to have to be willing to do something you haven't done before.
Speaker AAnd let me help the people who are already successful, because oftentimes these messages speak real easy to the people who aren't having success and trying to find that next level.
Speaker ABut one of the things that I specialize in, especially within my business, is helping people scale their businesses.
Speaker AWhether if it's the person trying to scale to seven figures or the company trying to scale from seven to eight or eight to nine figures, but really radically growing their company in a short period of time, but to where it sticks and it lasts and they continue growing.
Speaker AThe best way for you to grow and understand this and this, I'm going to tell you, this is going to hit my people who are already high performers, who have already found success.
Speaker ASome of you think, well, I already know the things that I've done that have got me here and I'm pretty successful, so I'm just going to keep doing this thing and wait for me to hit my next level.
Speaker AYeah, you can do that.
Speaker AAnd it may work or it may not work, but if you want to get there a lot faster, then you got to figure out how do you get a little more lift under your system.
Speaker AIn other words, what new systems do you need to employ, what new processes do you need to incorporate, what new growth or what new understanding you need?
Speaker AMaybe you simply need to get around a stronger networking community.
Speaker AWho they've been there, done that, or they think in bigger ways to where now all of a sudden you want to think in bigger ways too.
Speaker AYou know, if you want to fly high in the sky, you can't hang out with all the pigeons, right?
Speaker AYou know, all the pigeons, where do they like to hang out?
Speaker AThey like to hang out on the ground and they fly.
Speaker ABut they fly and they land on top of houses or buildings or whatever.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker ABut you know what?
Speaker AIf you want to be an eagle, you can't be hanging out with the pigeons.
Speaker AHow many times have you ever seen a flock of pigeons and you look over and there's an eagle in the middle?
Speaker AI mean, that's just, that's so silly.
Speaker AThat did not happen.
Speaker AI mean, unless he's going for a carryout, that is not happening right there.
Speaker AThere, the eagles fly different.
Speaker AYou see pigeons commonly all over the ground.
Speaker ABut if you want to see an eagle, you want to know why most people don't see eagles?
Speaker ABecause most people are always looking down rather than looking up.
Speaker AOh, man, that speaks right there.
Speaker AYou got to train yourself that this is the direction we're headed.
Speaker AHigh performer, we're moving forward and upward.
Speaker AAgain, we're moving forward and upward.
Speaker AThe next question that I have for you, this is question four is fear.
Speaker AThis is what I refer to as our fear and avoidance Check in.
Speaker AThis is going to hit deep on some of you.
Speaker AThe weight of fear is like drag against your wings.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AThe weight of fear is like drag against your wings.
Speaker AIn other words, it'll try to pull you back down or slow you down from moving as fast as you could.
Speaker AYou know, let's just call it how we see it.
Speaker AYou've got to learn how to identify when something's trying to pull you down or hold you back.
Speaker AAnd you've got to acknowledge that thing so you can punch through it and break through that resistance.
Speaker AWhat are the things that are impacting you today?
Speaker AYou know, if I'm working with my clients one on one, oftentimes the way I'll frame this is I'll ask them, hey, what could get in your way of success if you were to allow it to in this area?
Speaker AAnd when they mark down their goals proactively, I have them ask the question of themselves.
Speaker AWhat could stop you from hitting this goal rather than just waiting till they encounter it, what can stop them ahead of time?
Speaker AThis is so significant because this helps people understand proactively, what are the things that can get in my way.
Speaker AAnd once you know what those are, you know how to watch for them better and you know how to be more guarded against them.
Speaker AI'm telling you this is a significant recipe on how to break through.
Speaker AAnd also understand this because I told you that this question was based around fear and avoidance.
Speaker ASometimes your own success that's waiting for you.
Speaker AThe only thing that's causing you drag or trying to pull you down or distract you is your own fears.
Speaker AWhat's going to happen?
Speaker AThe what if, what if, what if scenario, and you've heard me say in other shows that the what if scenario, the what if cases, that's the devil's territory.
Speaker AYou have to be able to break free from those fears.
Speaker AYou have to break free from those self doubts.
Speaker AAnd you have to understand you were created for more and you were created for better.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AYou've been created for more, and you've been created for better.
Speaker AYou just have to learn how to push through.
Speaker ANow, that brings us to question number five.
Speaker AQuestion five deals with next steps for real momentum.
Speaker AAgain, question five are your next steps for real momentum.
Speaker ASmall steps don't create big lift.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker ASmall steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.
Speaker AFire, man, I'm telling you, small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.
Speaker ARemember that our whole course today, or I say our course, but the route we're paving here, whatever you want to call it, well, we're talking about day centers around the law of lift.
Speaker AAnd I'm talking to you specifically about your goal setting and how to achieve them.
Speaker ABut I'm also talking to you about how to set balance, big, audacious goals.
Speaker AYou know, this is a different kind of podcast.
Speaker AThis isn't a podcast that's just meant for just, you know, just anybody, average Joe.
Speaker AThis is a podcast where people come to.
Speaker ATo grow, man.
Speaker APeople come to this podcast who are already on the success pathway of life.
Speaker AYou know, sometimes you hear me talk about the Ladder of Ascension.
Speaker AIn fact, I had a podcast a couple days ago or a few days ago that came out with that, and I talked about the different rungs on the ladder, how you have the first rung, and that's the entry people, and then you go higher up.
Speaker ABut when you get to the very top man, you're now in some elite space.
Speaker AThis is an elite podcast designed for elite people.
Speaker ANow, understand before you raise this question, well, maybe I shouldn't be listening to this podcast.
Speaker AWhat creates an elite person always starts with their mindset, and it starts with what's right in here in your heart.
Speaker AYou know, I will tell you that long before I ever turned into the executive that I am today, I first saw myself being able to do it.
Speaker AI saw myself being able to do it, and I believed in myself.
Speaker AAnd even when maybe others couldn't see it or didn't see it, I knew it was there.
Speaker AAnd even when maybe others would try to put me down or say negative things about me, man, that stuff just rinsed and washed right off me.
Speaker AIt didn't even stick.
Speaker AIt didn't even leave a nasty little residue.
Speaker AThat stuff just bounced right off me.
Speaker ABecause I knew better in here in my heart and I knew better in here in my mind that that's not who I was.
Speaker AI didn't need to be concerned about other people's words shaping who I was or who I would be.
Speaker ABecause in my mind and in my heart, I already knew the potential that God had created me to be.
Speaker ANow I'm going to tell you this.
Speaker AI may have not known fully what he had called me to be, but I knew that when he created Neil, he took his time on this one.
Speaker AHe carved and paid attention to every little detail.
Speaker AAnd he put his very, very best in me, just like I know he did in you.
Speaker AThat's why I believe in you.
Speaker AYou hear me say that so many times over and over on this podcast.
Speaker AYou're going to hear me say it more before we close this podcast.
Speaker AI believe in you, Champion.
Speaker AWhy?
Speaker ABecause I know the one who made you, and I know what he put in you.
Speaker AAnd I know the greatness that he has in you that he's ready to call out if you allow him to bring it out of you.
Speaker AYou.
Speaker AAnd I believe he connected you with this podcast, whether you're a believer or not.
Speaker ABecause even though you may not believe in him, he does believe in you.
Speaker AAnd he knows the exact kind of mind food you need to grow that inner greatness that's inside of you, man.
Speaker AI'm telling you, I'm fired up about that.
Speaker AAnd I want you to know how much I believe in you and how much I know he believes in you.
Speaker ASmall steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.
Speaker AMaybe for you, the bold move you need to make right now is you need to connect with that same type of mindset that I have, that same thing for the person who was out there, and I felt it in the spirit for the person who was out there who said, man, I wish I could think about myself the way Neil does.
Speaker AYou're one step away from that.
Speaker AYou're one quality decision from that.
Speaker AMaybe you haven't heard others teach on a level like that where they've talked about believing in themselves like that.
Speaker ABut I'm telling you, you.
Speaker AYou've got it in you.
Speaker ABecause God is no respecter of persons.
Speaker AThe way he designs one person, he'll design another person the same way.
Speaker ABut you know what he is a respecter of?
Speaker AHe's a respecter of faith, and he's a respecter of action.
Speaker AWhoa.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AGive me phone.
Speaker APreach myself happy over here.
Speaker AHe's a respecter of faith and he's a respecter of action.
Speaker AHere's another way of saying that for you, you, He's a respecter of belief and Action.
Speaker AIn other words, he respects when you believe in him and you believe in yourself.
Speaker AAnd he respects when you take action to go and do what you're called to do.
Speaker AMan, I'm telling you, that's powerful right there.
Speaker AAnd if you're sitting along waiting for all the steps to fall in place before you take momentum, Understand, small steps don't create big lift, but bold moves do.
Speaker AAnd the boldest move you can take is step one.
Speaker AStep out and do the thing you already know you're supposed to do.
Speaker AAnd when you step out and do it, don't do it with trepidation or with fear or being scared or anxiety.
Speaker AStep out and do it bold.
Speaker AAnd if you're scared, then do it anyway, striver, because you've got it inside you.
Speaker AStep out and take a bold action.
Speaker ABut what I know on the other side, especially as a spiritual big brother, is that when you take that first step, he'll meet you there and he'll show you step number two.
Speaker AAnd when you take step number two, he'll show you step three and then step four and step five and step six.
Speaker AAnd if you notice just the way I mention it right now, how it picked up in pace, the faster you pick up and pace, he'll meet you there.
Speaker ABecause you can't outpace God.
Speaker AYou can't outrun God.
Speaker AYou can let go of his hand and take off without him, and then you'll get lost.
Speaker ABut when you're holding his hand, you can never outpace him and you can never outrun them.
Speaker ATake your bold step today.
Speaker AAnd that brings us to our sixth step that I have for you today, or I'm sorry I say sixth step.
Speaker AI apologize.
Speaker AMy sixth question for you today, and it's in the area of commitment.
Speaker AIt's a commitment challenge.
Speaker ASuccess demands aggressive intentionality.
Speaker ASo, that being said, what are you willing to stake your future on?
Speaker AOh, man, I'm going to say that again.
Speaker ASuccess demands it.
Speaker ADoesn't ask for it, it doesn't suggest.
Speaker ADemands it.
Speaker ASuccess demands aggressive intentionality.
Speaker AWhat are you willing to stake your future on?
Speaker ANow, I know that's big, but you didn't show up here to be small.
Speaker AI'm going to say that again.
Speaker AI know that's big, but you didn't show up to this podcast and listen all the way up until now just so you could be small.
Speaker AYou didn't show up to the podcast the day before, the day before.
Speaker AOr you won't show up to tomorrow's podcast and listen to the next episode because you're hoping to stay small.
Speaker AYou have something different in you.
Speaker AYou're created different.
Speaker ANow, I said God's no respecter of persons, but you've got God DNA on the inside of you.
Speaker AAnd he does it big.
Speaker AHe's doing it big.
Speaker AYou know, he doesn't think small.
Speaker AIn fact, it tells us scripturally that no man understands the depth or breadth or height or width of the Lord's understanding.
Speaker ANo eye, what eye has seen, what ear has heard, the fullness and the measure of his glory and his grace, none have.
Speaker ABut when you connect with them, he'll take you to new heights.
Speaker ABecause, striver, we're moving forward and upward.
Speaker AWe've got the law of lift on our side.
Speaker AWe're moving forward and upward.
Speaker AAnd I'm fired up for you about this.
Speaker AI will tell you that as we close today, I want to give you a bold call to action.
Speaker AWhat's the thing that's been holding you back?
Speaker AIn other words, let me take it a step forward rather than what's the thing that's been holding you back?
Speaker AStop focusing on the problem and start focusing on the solution.
Speaker AHere's the solution.
Speaker AClarity.
Speaker AWhat's the thing you know you've been called to do?
Speaker AMaybe it's you need to get up and write that book.
Speaker AMaybe it's you need to open that business or that bakery.
Speaker AOr maybe you need to enroll back in college and go after that degree you know you're supposed to have.
Speaker AI don't care if you're in your 50s.
Speaker AWho cares about that?
Speaker AIf someone's telling you in your mind that, oh, but then you're going to be this old when you do it.
Speaker AWho cares about that?
Speaker AAnd when you arrive on campus for your first day of class and you have a bunch of kids that just got out of high school around you, who cares about that?
Speaker AYou have to push against that nonsense.
Speaker ADid it ever occur to you that rather than them looking at you and making fun of you, that maybe they might be looking at you and thinking, man, that person, they're much older than me.
Speaker ABut they're going at it.
Speaker AThey're still looking at improving themselves and growing.
Speaker AAnd you know who those kids know who are around your same age?
Speaker APossibly it's their parents.
Speaker AAnd maybe all they've seen all their life as their parents talk about shoulda, coulda, would've, shoulda, coulda, would've.
Speaker AThey should have done this.
Speaker AThey would have done this.
Speaker AThey wish they could have done this.
Speaker AYou know what?
Speaker AThat's not who you are.
Speaker AStriver you got something different on the inside of you.
Speaker AYou got the champion living in you.
Speaker AAnd I believe in you.
Speaker AAnd I believe you can go and smash this thing.
Speaker AAnd what I will tell you is, who cares if you break a few eggs along the way?
Speaker AGo break some eggs.
Speaker AYou break enough eggs, you're going to figure out eventually how to not break eggs and how to do it right.
Speaker AShoot for the stars.
Speaker ARemember, forward and upward is how we move.
Speaker AYou're a champion who's designed to move forward and upward.
Speaker ANow, the law of lift.
Speaker AI want to remind you about this.
Speaker AThe law of lift is real, but it's also waiting on you.
Speaker AOh, man, that speaks right there.
Speaker AThe law of lift is real, but it's also waiting on you.
Speaker ADon't let gravity win today.
Speaker AIf the only thing you're facing today and you're trying to figure out who your adversary is, when you're moving forward and upward, your adversary is gravity, because it wants to pull you down and it wants to hold you down.
Speaker ANow, I'm not talking about real gravity.
Speaker AI'm talking about gravity and success, just in case you got lost there.
Speaker ABut gravity of success, don't allow gravity to win today.
Speaker AYou push back against that thing.
Speaker AHow do you push back against it?
Speaker AYou push back against it by making the commitment.
Speaker AThen you take the step, then you push that air down, and you watch your life lift.
Speaker AWhoa, man.
Speaker AI'm telling you, that solid right there.
Speaker AYou start by making the commitment.
Speaker AAm I going to take off down the Runway or am I going to stay stuck in park?
Speaker ANope, you're the champion.
Speaker AWho's a striver?
Speaker AYou're going to move forward and upward.
Speaker AYou're going to take off down the Runway.
Speaker AYou're taking the first step.
Speaker AYou're going to push that air down, and you're going to discover your lift.
Speaker AThat's who you are, striver.
Speaker AThat's who God has created you to be.
Speaker AAnd I want to remind you, because this is so important, this today isn't just another podcast episode.
Speaker AI told you before that I was going to encourage you to bookmark it and to save it and to come back to it and listen to it periodically.
Speaker ABecause no matter where you're at in life, whether if it's now or the six months down the road and you smashed all those goals and now you're looking for the next set of goals, or it's in a year, two years, doesn't matter.
Speaker AThis is a staple teacher teaching.
Speaker AIt's an evergreen teaching.
Speaker AThis isn't just another podcast Episode.
Speaker AThis episode, today.
Speaker AThis is your ignition sequence.
Speaker AWhoa.
Speaker AThat's a fire statement right there.
Speaker ARemember, we're talking about the law of lift today, and this isn't just another podcast episode.
Speaker AThis is your ignition sequence.
Speaker AWhat are you going to do with it?
Speaker AIt guys, and I want to take you through just one more thing, and then I'm going to let you go.
Speaker AAnd really, I just want to take you through some type of encouragement that I can help you to seal the deal on this.
Speaker AI'm going to ask you to repeat this phrase after me, but I want you to say it in a bold manner, and you have to believe it.
Speaker AYou're going to say this in a bold manner.
Speaker AIn other words, you don't say it like a question.
Speaker AYou say it because you believe it.
Speaker AAnd you know, so many times I'm going to share this because I just had this picture so many times when I'm listening to teachings or have listened to podcasts or courses or something, when I'm working out, there's times where I'm on the treadmill and I'm working out or I'm on the elliptical machine or something and I hear them say to do something inside of you.
Speaker AThey'll say something out loud.
Speaker AAnd I'm over there saying it on the treadmill and the person next to me looking at me like, is he talking?
Speaker ATalking to me?
Speaker AYou know, I might be saying, I'm more than enough.
Speaker AI'm more than enough.
Speaker AI'm more than enough.
Speaker AAnd you know, the person next to me or behind me is like, he's more than enough than that treadmill, I guess, you see, I got earbuds on at that moment.
Speaker AThey don't need to hear what I'm saying.
Speaker AIn other words, here's the deal.
Speaker AThey don't hear the same thing I'm hearing, but I don't need them to for me to believe it.
Speaker AYou know, when you got earbuds on, you're hearing something nobody else does.
Speaker AWhen you're listening to this podcast, you're hearing something.
Speaker ABut more than anything, when you touch down inside of you and you start hearing that voice of God that says, I believe in you.
Speaker AI believe in you, champion.
Speaker AI believe in you, son.
Speaker AI believe in you, daughter.
Speaker AI believe in you, child.
Speaker AI believe in you, champion.
Speaker AWhen you do that, who.
Speaker AThey may not hear that on the outside, but they don't need to, because you hear it in here in your heart, and you hear it in here in your mind, and you believe in yourself and continue to show up Every day, even when others don't.
Speaker AAnd if you have a good support structure around you, all the better.
Speaker AYou're a big baller now, boy, but you got to just keep pushing, and you got to shatter those goals that you're after.
Speaker ASo here's what I want you to repeat after me and do it bold.
Speaker AAnd if you.
Speaker AIt's even more powerful if you can look in the mirror or turn your phone on and.
Speaker AWell, your phone's probably already on if you're listening to this.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ABut somehow look at yourself.
Speaker ALook in your rearview mirror if you can, but keep your eye on the road at the same time, but look in the mirror if you can.
Speaker AOr, you know, turn your camera on and look at your camera in reverse mode if it's possible.
Speaker ABut I want you to say this.
Speaker AI am intentional.
Speaker AI am aggressive.
Speaker AI create my own lift.
Speaker ANow we're going to do it two more times.
Speaker AActually, we're going to do this now.
Speaker ANow that you know what we're saying, we're going to say it three times in a row.
Speaker AI am intentional.
Speaker AI am aggressive.
Speaker AI create my own lift.
Speaker AAgain, I am intentional.
Speaker AI am aggressive.
Speaker AI create my own lift.
Speaker AI am intentional.
Speaker AI am aggressive.
Speaker AI create my own lift.
Speaker AWhoa.
Speaker AThat's how you do it right there.
Speaker ABig baller.
Speaker ABig balla baller.
