we're going to talk about what is the best position if you have

Speaker:

ED? Now, the most optimal sex position is personal, but I'm

Speaker:

just going to recommend some position that will maximizes

Speaker:

relaxation for you, minimizes physical exertion, and allow you

Speaker:

to focus on the intimacy and stimulation without unique

Speaker:

pressure on performance.

Speaker:

Now there's no single best position for every individual,

Speaker:

but certain positions are consistently recommended by

Speaker:

sexual health experts and therapists for the benefits of

Speaker:

managing ED. the most recommended position is actually

Speaker:

partner on top, so that way the husband lie on his back, his

Speaker:

partner straddles him and faces him or faces away. This position

Speaker:

allows the man to fully relax, and reducing muscle strain and

Speaker:

potentially improving more blood flow to the penis. Also it's

Speaker:

less work, less pressure for him.

Speaker:

Now the second position is spooning, where both partners

Speaker:

lie on the side with the man from behind. Because this is a

Speaker:

gentle, low energy position that promote intimacy and minimizes

Speaker:

physical effort. Because you want to avoid using muscles that

Speaker:

are in your buttocks, your legs. Those are the big muscles of

Speaker:

your body, and it consumes a lot of energy. It will also

Speaker:

sometimes take away blood flow from the penis to the buttocks

Speaker:

and the leg muscles. So you want as much blood flow as you can

Speaker:

down to the penis, and that's where you want the firmness for.

Speaker:

Because remember, when you have an erection, you need 40 times

Speaker:

more blood flow down there to make it effective. So back to

Speaker:

spooning. Spooning is especially helpful if the erection is

Speaker:

partial or if your erection fluctuate as penetration can be

Speaker:

maintained even with softer erection. So this is a plus,

Speaker:

plus, plus.

Speaker:

Other position is doggy style, which allows you to maintain

Speaker:

stimulation. The worst position you want to be in is missionary,

Speaker:

where the man is on top, because it requires a lot of exertion on

Speaker:

your buttocks and in your legs, and it may even divert blood

Speaker:

flow down to the penis. So unfortunately, the missionary

Speaker:

position is a position that is traditional, but yet will cost

Speaker:

you some blood flow. So something to think about.

So why did these positions work? Because it reduced physical

strain on you, as I was talking about before. When you're lying

down or when you're side lying, it requires less muscle effort,

Speaker:

allowing more blood flow to the penis, where it matters the

Speaker:

most. And it also enhances relaxation, so less pressure for

Speaker:

you to perform, and more focus on intimacy, and can lower your

Speaker:

anxiety so you can focus on the moment and on your partner. And

Speaker:

also it allows your partner to control the rhythm and the depth

Speaker:

and kind of taking the pressure away from you and provide more

Speaker:

stimulation for you as well. And it's really a position of

Speaker:

intimacy where you can look at each other, you can touch and

Speaker:

provide more closeness, and therefore more arousal, more

Speaker:

connection, better erection.

Speaker:

Now, additional tips. In the last episode I talked about when

is the best time to have sex, most preferably, probably in the

Speaker:

morning. So if you have ED, just know that your erections are

Speaker:

often the strongest in the morning, so take advantage of

this and plan your activity in the morning. Also, additional

comfort, preferences, and any anxiety may really reduce the

really help maintain arousal and erection quality.
