welcome back to catching up with Katie we are back here at home um I'm really actually excited to show you kind of the
0:06
new spot we're developing for catching up with Katie slth KBS podcast that'll
0:12
be coming in the early months of 2025 hopefully it's like early early but we'll see how fast it happens um but
0:19
right now we're still kind of set up in my mom's uh that what what once was the Airbnb people made it weird so now it's
0:25
just for friends and family but um but yeah we're just going to here in chat if
0:31
you don't know catching up with Katie we kind of give a rundown of what's happened on the farm and it's weekly and
0:37
then we take questions from Facebook and Instagram and Tik Tok and we and YouTube
0:42
and we asked them on here from y'all so and then we honestly usually just end up yapping for a good portion of it if you
0:50
don't watch catching up with Katie usually the last episode was not here it was in Oklahoma City and so we all had a
0:58
big trip last week we went to watch Denver show uh his maiden voyage and he
1:03
was pretty awesome so if you want to go watch that video go do it um so yeah we
1:09
we had a big week out of town and then when we got home we all kind of just crashed and uh had a couple days to
1:15
recoup and edit and things like that and then we did a photo shoot Abigail was a model Nate was a model you uh Matt was a
1:23
model we got all the girl like Rachel Alysa um Blaine even popped in it was a
1:28
really fun time so those photos are going to be on my website uh after this so you're all uh unpaid models um I
1:35
haven't even have have we seen any of them yet like how they turned out no your your hinge profile is about to just
1:40
be absolutely fire it's about to be is true mate are they good I haven't seen
1:45
them either I know of a few poses you did that are going to be fire a few poses what was I doing I don't like like
1:52
we got some there was like one time when you were in the barn and you were just in front of a stall but we got some
1:57
genuine Smiles out of you and then and we actually had some twin calves born as
2:02
well we've had two sets of twins now um yeah you didn't even know that we had a
2:08
set of twins born yesterday and so we have two sets of twins now and they're doing good so it's been it's been a
2:15
little eventful how abnormal is that honestly I think I looked it up and it's like 10% of births are twins um it's
2:23
less than that for healthy twins we have luckily had some good luck with twins
2:29
over the last last few years we've had three sets over the last three years this is the first time we've ever had
2:35
two sets in one year now dairy farms or like larger operations than us see it
2:41
pretty often you know but I mean for us it's not something that's happened before so um the one thing though is
2:48
that both sets were a boy girl setup which means the girl is like 95% chance
2:55
that she's infertile like she's going to be sterile because of
3:00
you could correct me I don't know every correct term for this but essentially it's what it's called a free Martin um
3:08
so it happens when there's Twins and one's a boy and one's a girl the testosterone from the boy it affects the
3:16
reproductive um organs and whatnot when she's being developed so some of them come out like physically not having the
3:24
anatomy they need and then some of them it's just kind of internally they don't you know work like they should so
3:30
I was curious so just in case anyone was wondering the chance of people having twins is less than 2% ooh so cows a
3:39
little more in the United States as it says but and I will say because I think this question is probably going to come
3:44
from the cows having twins I've said multiple times about how we do not want
3:50
twins with horses and cows just tend to have a little more uterine space than a
3:56
horse does the babies even though the cows are
4:01
generally way more than our horses the calves come out smaller usually so
4:07
there's usually room cuz in development they have to be able to um move around to develop correctly
4:15
and sometimes in a horse there's just no room for that to happen and so they
4:21
either come out with deformed legs one twin takes all the nutrients and the other one comes out dead the I don't
4:28
know there's just lots of scenarios and almost none of them end with healthy twins it happens but it's not something
4:36
that's good yeah so anyway heavy subjects at the beginning
4:43
uh let's get into I know that there was some questions after after the video
4:49
posted of Denver showing after um a a showing all of that there was there were
4:55
some questions that were heavily asked so ask away that's over to you Abigail so
5:02
someone asked when is he being offered for stud Services they have a maiden
5:07
8-year-old that they think would be a great fit o but they don't show okay so
5:13
they said they didn't know if that was a deal breaker for Denver's first couple of full crops we are being a little more
5:20
picky I would say cuz like with so here's the thing with whan vs code red
5:25
um the only criteria your mayor has to meet is they have to be registered they
5:30
have to be a registered quarter horse paint uh Appaloosa or thorough bread so the main part the the main
5:39
reason I make it that way for him is because he's already proven himself he already has plenty of babies out there
5:44
that are absolutely phenomenal there is no more proving needing to be done and who am I to tell someone that
5:53
even though their mayor hasn't shown or even though their mayor is a thorough bread and can't show or you know what
5:59
whatever even though their mayor isn't a show horse that she's not a highquality horse who am I to tell them that that
6:06
mayor isn't worthy you know what I'm saying that's very much up to the owner I have mayors that I've read that never
6:12
showed so I I can't in like a right conscience make it to where you can't
6:19
breed a whan unless your horse shows there's some of the best brood mares out there that have ever produced were
6:26
injured as weanlings were you know never shown or whatever and then they went straight to broodmare life and then they
6:31
produced some of the best horses out there so um that's why I don't I don't make that for whan but for Denver um let
6:39
me just start from the beginning we don't even have Seaman yet so here's my thought process with that Denver's only
6:45
three usually he's probably going to have fine seen but uh they don't really
6:52
hit full maturity uh reproductively until about five so his seen production
6:58
could really uh get better over the next couple of years um so we just sent him
7:05
to select breeders yesterday so he is there he has to learn how to be
7:12
collected so that was another question was how how do you teach them to mount
7:18
the dummy I don't know I don't know I was like I don't think we have the answer I don't know uh I would actually
7:24
I was saying this yesterday I wish I could be a fly on the wall I think I'd actually be a little nervous though too so why are we sent him to select
7:30
breeders is because they have a dummy that is identical to the one that High Point uses and they offer training and
7:39
they have a padded room so that if he falls or like stumbles into a wall it's
7:47
padded so they have to teach him how to do it um then they run all these tests
7:54
on his seen there are so many variables that go into freezing because with
7:59
Denver he's not done showing we are far from being done showing him like he only showed once very much proved his talent
8:07
so that's why we are going ahead with the plan of collecting him but he's very much like we want to show him for years
8:14
to come and so I don't want him distracted with having to be collected fresh next year in the midst of trying
8:20
to be trained so we are doing about two months of collecting freezing it and
8:25
only offering Frozen semen this coming year um and so they have to test his
8:30
semen with all these different variables like the extender they use with it um the rate at which they freeze the semen
8:37
um I don't even know all the variables but I know there's multiple things and they have to test it to see which
8:43
combination works for him to keep the best quality um so they've got to do all
8:50
that we're we're kind of embarking on that Journey right now so this coming year I'm I'm not even saying what his
8:58
study is or how many mayors we're going to open him up to until we know what his
9:04
seamen looks like I think I don't want to put the cart before the horse I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch you know so that we've started the
9:12
the process you know do you think that taking that break to collect like this
9:19
this winter like that two-month break is going to affect how he acts
9:26
afterwards I would hope not so some I'm trying to decide if I think it would Jazz him up going forward
9:35
or calm him down I feel like he would be like oh wait this would
9:42
have been missing out on women this is women but he's not even really getting a woman this is what I get from women no
9:49
well because you saw on the collection with whan they do have a mayor there he gets to sniff on yeah he gets to like
9:56
but it it's like you're Mak he's making that connection now that like oh there's a female horse right now I get to go do
10:06
this um you know there is some you know they say oh he doesn't even know he's a
10:11
stud yet cuz he hasn't collected so we'll see but I I will say High Point
10:17
select breeders um Aaron they all have so much experience with stallions that
10:23
stay performing that they have I mean all the stallions that they work with
10:29
I've noticed are so well behaved and they are there to act like a normal
10:34
horse except for like when they're in one little space so like with whan when I go visit him they're like you can take
10:40
him anywhere on this property and he is going to act fine do not take him down this one alley cuz that alley is where
10:46
he goes down when he's going to collect and so he knows like oh I can I can be a
10:51
little you know a little more amped up um so maybe the association isn't
10:57
necessarily with Mayors but with a room or yeah that's the hope the hope is and
11:04
that is why right now I didn't want to collect him fresh this coming year
11:10
because if he was at Aaron's house and then every Monday Wednesday and Friday we trailered him over to High Point to
11:15
collect we didn't want him thinking that every time he gets on a trailer yeah he's going to go do what he likes to do
11:22
you know so we wanted to keep it really black and white for him for a while until he you know solidifies into it so
11:30
he gets this two-month break it's going to be great for him he has been working so hard towards that goal of the world
11:36
show that he needs a physical break and then um you know he can really focus on
11:41
this new task and then hopefully his seen is plentiful and quality enough
11:47
that we can be done after January and he can quit doing that until you know a few
11:54
months later or whatever like if he gets a break then he'll go collect a little bit more or whatever um but then he can
12:00
focus back on writing and it then he's he has to be a good boy then you know yeah so that's the Hope can you explain
12:08
what about him makes him so good for those of us with an untrained eye
12:15
me I think one thing is like his level-headedness you know there was uh I
12:20
I saw some stallions um at the Congress at the world show that are his same age that were honestly a lot nastier looking
12:28
that you know they pinned their ears they would ring their necks they just you could tell immediately that's a
12:33
stallion whereas with Denver I really feel like other than his neck like his
12:38
neck's thick but other than that I don't feel like his demeanor ever gives him away I think he is like the same all the
12:45
time uh Aaron even he's like he's a little dumb he's like he's like the hot
12:50
jock you know um talented hot is a thick neck like a defining
12:57
feature yeah the testosterone I didn't know that like their neck is thicker they'll have a bigger jaw big jaw um can
13:05
that is that like relatable to people like the does the testosterone I don't
13:11
know a lot of castrated people so I don't I mean like you said the testosterone M like if you have more
13:18
testosterone testosterone makes them gain more muscle than fat so like if
13:24
someone has a hormonal imbalance as a man where they don't make as as much testosterone or they have a higher level
13:31
of estrogen they're probably going to carry more fat on their body so same thing with horses so his neck is muscled
13:37
his whole body uh is more muscled than when you gild a horse you'll notice like
13:42
old gildings they tend to have a pot belly or they're like a little fatter it's it's because of the lack of testosterone but so what makes him good
13:49
not just his demeanor um he is very confirmation correct so meaning the way
13:55
he's put together um and that's why he won the halter class in the pleasure versatility challenge is because of the
14:03
correctness of his body so how his neck ties into his chest how his um how
14:10
straight his legs are the angles of his pastons the angles of his Hawks the like there's just so many different variables
14:16
that go into him being a very correct put together horse so that's always something that you want to look for when
14:21
breeding a horse you want a a sound confirmation correct horse um then his
14:28
movement so different disciplines oh excuse me so sorry what is a past turn it's like a
14:35
lower part of their leg like their ankish area okay I'll have to point it out to you to really show you I had no
14:41
idea what that was the only reason you know is cuz we just did something about it um
14:50
so you're like God wasting our
14:55
time um so you know he's just got a lot of really good foundational attributes
15:01
to pass on to offspring and then so mind
15:06
confirmation movement I don't want to be biased right
15:13
now but he is such a phenomenal mover for an all-around aqaa horse so an
15:20
all-around quarter horse so athletic long fluid strides very level Topline so
15:26
a lot of the times so you watched them in the play when they really slowed him down he's not sitting there going like
15:33
up and down as he moves he's moving forward and fluidly some people aren't going to like how slow he went and he
15:40
does in my opinion I like him moving more forward uh in the pleasure class I talked to Aaron about it afterwards and
15:45
he was like honestly he was so tired like I tried to push him more forward and he was like just dead um it it was a
15:53
lot to throw at a young horse you know to do the pattern and then a CL you know um and so to me his ability to move so
16:03
slow and long at the same time and hold his collection and his body at all
16:11
three gates is just such such a key piece to not just the Western Pleasure
16:16
not just the Western writing to literally anything that he could do as an allrounder um so yeah I I I just
16:24
think he's got got it all basically mind movement conf
16:29
information that's that's that's all you can ask for really and I think I missed
16:34
a lot of the movement because you're you're filming in person cuz that we were filming and so I really feel like I
16:42
only got to watch a lot of the other horses but going back through the footage and like editing and getting to
16:48
watch it there I noticed a lot more of those things that you were just talking about right and it it was cooler for me
16:54
to I guess watch the footage cuz mhm that's how I just get to experience that [Laughter]
17:01
you you get to experience them secondhand even though you're there for it yeah um my mom used to I didn't never
17:06
understand cuz she used to tell me that cuz she would film all of my like that's how you get better if you're at a horse show someone films you so you can go
17:13
back and watch yourself and see your mistakes or what you did good and so she would always film my patterns or film my
17:20
sorry just burped um but anyway she would film my classes don't she he's
17:25
going to leave it in um I think the m that up I'll turn it
17:33
up um and so she would be like I don't even know what your pattern looked like I'm like well you filmed it she's like
17:38
it's I yeah I'll have to go look it watch it you know so I I get it now if
17:43
someone requested a live cover of their mayor from Denver or whan would you
17:49
consider it no unfortunately what the reasoning so we we only offer artificial
17:56
insemination it gets a lot okay so I'll I'll put some personal experiences in
18:02
here there's multiple reasons one we run a tight ship christe runs a tight ship
18:08
at High Point yes she does so they have 40 something stallions to manage they
18:15
are all so well taken care of on breeding days it is they know their job whan takes three minutes to go do his
18:20
job and that one collection can breed up to like 9 to 11 Mayors depending on the
18:25
day so it would really throw wrench things to have one mayor get an entire
18:32
collection and we have like like it's just it doesn't make sense time wise
18:37
that's number one number two if you'll watch the video of wh we did a day in
18:43
the life of Wayland And he collected and whatnot on video um they are so sterile
18:48
with everything they do they sterilize everything they everything is about
18:54
cleanliness and horses can have diseases they give to each other they can have infections they can have all kinds of
19:00
things it is not personally worth it to me to risk that for for one breeding now
19:07
thorough breads you you can set it up to where you know the Mayors are checked you know they're clean they and that's
19:14
fine thorough breads have to breed live um so every breeding has to be you know
19:20
a live covering so there's there's pluses and minuses to both but with whan
19:26
a TimeWise B you know just make making sure that everything is sterile and clean and healthy and things like that
19:33
and then B so my mom one two B that's that's the way I go um one to b
19:39
b we had a stud when I was younger and we we did live covering um he was a
19:45
ranch horse and my mom and dad would offer him to stud and so he had a mayor
19:52
and she was hobbled they had her in like like they didn't they knew what they
19:57
were doing and were working with a a really awesome thorough bread Farm down the road as well for guidance and they
20:04
had all like seemingly what everything they needed they had the mayor hobbled
20:09
um they did the live covering the mayor I was very young so I'm not sure the
20:15
logistics of how she kicked him but she kicked him in the side all seemed okay
20:22
it just seemed like a normal whatever um the next day he was dead in his stall
20:28
and and they did a necropsy and his liver head burst from her kicking him Ju
20:35
Just Right so there's just there's just
20:41
not there's just not a reason for me to do it too many unnecessary risks yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking and
20:47
that's what I was about to say those words exactly should have been a little quicker on
20:53
it do you kind of wish we like didn't have him in on it yeah sometimes I like
21:01
I want to say something and then you just kind of steal it from me it's kind of like
21:07
you're you just have that little camera over
21:12
there I do have the smallest one that I have the smallest one I thought we just
21:18
needed a Pizzazz factor I would be sad if you weren't on
21:25
it but I do want to I do want to clarify though there are plenty of people that live cover and do it healthily and and
21:32
very cleanly and it works I'm not I'm not knocking it I'm not saying it can't
21:38
be done I'm just saying for the system we have right now with the place we have
21:44
the stallion it just probably wouldn't be worth doing okay do you have any plans to show Denver
21:54
next I'm sorry go ahead go ahead do you have any plans to show first
22:01
things first next year and to clarify it's first things first with the z um with a Z with a z so
22:10
yeah I do um I've talked about it quite a bit on Tik Tok and Facebook and
22:15
whatnot but I don't know I've talked about it very much on YouTube so I have not ever owned like a Western Pleasure
22:22
horse all of my all-arounders growing up were that they were all-arounders or they had had previous
22:29
careers as Hunter under saddle horses they were definitely more big English horses that I did the allaround with
22:35
meaning patterns and whatnot so I've never had a pleasure horse that was actually meant to do the Western
22:40
Pleasure like I would take my big hunt seaters in there for the allaround to get extra points and it would be laughable um so I'm excited for that
22:47
Journey it's going to be something new for me it's going to be um something new for Denver cuz he didn't show it this
22:53
year and so we're going to work on that I'm hopefully going to practice with him quite a bit um going into this coming
22:59
spring I probably won't show him until either really late falling season or after fing season's over with um I'm
23:06
really excited I get to like get an outfit I haven't had an outfit in years and years so I'm uh talking with someone
23:15
in the next month about making one I'm I'm really excited about that and figuring out like the colors for him and
23:22
stuff um and then I'll I'll show him in the halter I think he's going to do really well in the halter so the
23:29
performance stallions um and I'm an amateur and then you know Aaron or um
23:36
I'm trying to convince Aaron to show him in the halter in the open um but then also you know he I think is going to be
23:44
the best in western riding and the trail and so while I'm going to be showing him the pleasure you know Aaron's probably
23:50
going to show him the pleasure as well we are also going to start working on his career in the western writing and
23:57
Trail I don't know at what point he's going to start showing in it next year but that's that's the plan I don't plan
24:03
on him retiring anytime soon and that that was another thing is a lot of people I saw being like why are you
24:10
breeding him so young like why are you starting to breed him when he's only shown once and so I kind of already said
24:17
that you know our plan was to collect him him performing so well his first
24:23
time out solidified us doing that and that's why we'll probably have like a small group of Mayor that we breed this
24:29
coming year and then going forward I I want to keep showing him um because of
24:34
all the great things I already see about him is why I think he's worthy to breed to and I have Trudy erene and Annie that
24:40
I'll be breeding to him this coming year but uh yeah I think he's going to have a
24:46
long show career ahead of him so and I want to be a part of it and I haven't shown in forever so I think I'm novice I
24:53
don't think I can show a stallion a novice but I am novice so it'll be fun
24:58
because I've been out of it for 10 years in the in the realm of all the different classes and things like that is there
25:06
a unspoken hierarchy of like this one's better than this one
25:15
like the Western Pleasure versus the trail would is there like say oh well Western Pleasure is like if you can get
25:21
a good horse in that that's the peak I wouldn't say with in the
25:29
disciplines so they each have their own really hard aspects to themselves the
25:35
Western Pleasure western riding Trail horsemanship equitation Hunter to saddle the hunter classes like they all within
25:43
the allaround horse they all have very different aspects to them that make them
25:48
difficult in their own right so you can have a horse that's super good in one
25:54
that doesn't really do well in the other so so I think between the classes I don't think so
25:59
mhm now there are levels so the highest of the high the best horses I would say
26:06
is the level three senior division so that means the horse is six years or over so they're like they've been doing
26:13
it they know what they're doing level three means like that's the highest level um and and Senior in open class so
26:22
the professionals sh in it um so I because I've been out of it for so long at one point I was level three and
26:28
everything I could not show in the level two or the level one because I had too many points but being out of things for
26:34
10 years I'm back down to level two and level one in most in everything so like
26:42
all the classes that I had a bunch of superiors in a superior is 50 points so like the equitation I had multiple
26:48
superiors in um where I was ineligible to show in the level one or level two
26:54
for a really long time I've been out so long that they've put me back down in
26:59
those bottom levels so I'm level senior
27:04
yeah so like the level three senior Trail which we watched uhhuh one of the
27:10
toughest classes of the whole show I got you yeah and so each uh so there was level one there was
27:16
level two senior there was um like at the Congress because they have even more
27:22
divisions so level three I believe is on the rider
27:32
or I think it's on the horse in the open divisions so it's depends on the hores points whereas at the Congress they have
27:40
limited versus not limited so they'll have the regular version of the class
27:45
and then they'll be like oh and then we're having the limited finals on a different day so they take all the people out of that class that haven't
27:52
won X amount of money and then they like get to show so
27:59
let's say there was five people in the top 10 of the regular M that hadn't won
28:04
X amount of money they get to they plus the five people that were kicked out of the top 10 get to go be in the finals so
28:11
there's like a limited division which I'm in so it it makes it a little bit easier for the small fish to get get in
28:19
there and like build themselves up got yeah all right I understand classes and
28:24
levels a little more now yeah I don't know that I don't know that I I am explaining it the best I know more than
28:31
I did yeah there's youth which is 18 and under there's amateur which is 19
28:37
through 50 there's select amateur which is 50 through 51 through I'm just
28:43
amateur yeah um and then there's level one amateur level two amateur level
28:48
three level one level two level three youth like you
28:54
know wow that's a lot yep and I love that they started adding
28:59
walk Trot and everything because now I feel like it's become that much more
29:04
accessible to what I'll be showing in yes we had a great idea we had a great
29:11
idea that is super we could do it okay okay so in the last catching up with Katie when we were in Oklahoma we had
29:18
mentioned a hor show even if it's at home everyone riding we could do a step
29:23
before that just for a little added comfort for everyone to be around each
29:29
other a halter class o so so you know the confirmation so
29:35
you're just leading them yeah and you're trying to set their feet together you're judged on presenting the horse on the
29:42
horse's confirmation y'all would each have to choose your horse that you
29:47
thought had the best confirmation would you choose who would you choose that you think has the best
29:52
confirmation like you'd have to go through and You' have to choose who you I would be the judge I would draw STW if
29:58
I was actually trying to win who would you choose for the halter
30:04
for the halter don't betray your heart probably Kennedy if you were the judge she's a good option there are I'm
30:12
not going to tell you what they are she does have a couple things that if you choose the right mayor she
30:18
would get second but I see I knew it was one of
30:24
them I would pick Annie because it's the only one that I've seen that's if if you have if you had a bunch
30:31
of horses and you say okay well we're going to let my friend's daughter show on a horse and we're picking Annie yeah
30:40
I'm picking Annie yeah but that has nothing to do with I mean it does have stuff to do seemed like the best okay
30:46
but he doesn't know that with a saddle on she's great on the ground she's a bit a heer but see now that would make me
30:52
nervous and I would try to trade later mhm see Ethel would be a great option for
30:58
facility confirmation who do you think see Matt would choose happy Happy's not she she's
31:05
got pretty pretty good confirmation but I don't know that she would I don't know that she would listen
31:11
to him in the slightest I mean Trudy maybe thinking
31:17
Trudy Trudy looks really nice she little fat at the moment that's fine scared of her I'm scared of her that's what you're
31:22
scared ofy scared she so big no one's choosing bow no
31:29
unfortunately no no Beyonce if she was like
31:35
ridable mhm maybe not because that's who I would
31:41
want to pick just cuz I feel like she would she maybe looks she would take care of you if she was still at her
31:47
soundest like if she was still sound I'd still be showing her she wouldn't even be a brood me but um it got so dark it's
31:53
making me like a little so dark where like cozy when did it when did it get
31:59
dark it seems like the sun went down oh in here it got dark look through the window well no I mean it just it seems
32:06
darker in here it's like 2:00 p.m. well I know I didn't mean it got dark outside I just meant
32:13
darker it's just it's just the aura the aura Aura in the room it's just the vibe
32:20
I want someone to tell me what color my aura is I don't know if I have one I don't know what that means my initial
32:25
thought was blue but I don't know why I don't know what it I don't know what it means I don't
32:33
either I would say Nate is uh green or yellow I thought yellow colors that
32:39
everyone's wear I think yours is lime lime
32:47
green okay actually Nate I would say Nate's is red if I was just I would say I don't
32:54
know why you give red Jonathan's is OD Green yeah yep he bleeds OD Green OD green and
33:03
what what what color do I give off I actually would have said lime
33:09
green like lime specifically no like the what you're wearing anytime I see something that's that color specifically
33:16
I'm like this is so Abigail and I show it to you usually and you're like I like
33:23
it I don't know don't take offense to this he's going to say like black no I
33:30
like this color this is a good color for me mustard like a light
33:36
brown okay I'm okay with that like a healthy poop
33:46
poop why do we come back to poop every episode every time last one was laxatives the one before like we've
33:52
talked about in every episode okay let's get off of that subject that was LAX
33:58
czy messed me up I still don't know why they chose 6
34:04
hours before the event we were there for living on the edge the only event we were there for I just trusted they took
34:11
6 hours before it I just trusted Nate and he let me down no it wasn't that it
34:17
was something else guaranteed I I don't think it was I think it was supposed to work overnight
34:24
in 6 to 12 hours that was only 3 hours later no it wasn't it 6 hours you took them at noon the thing started at
34:32
6 the planning the planning was
34:37
terrible you're like it was supposed to work in 6 to 12 hours I think in our minds in Our Minds when we took that it
34:44
was like 3:00 p.m. I think it was but in reality it was like
34:51
11: because none of us were like ah maybe we should wait like we all didn't
34:56
see an issue with it and now it's like I also want to point out no one consulted
35:02
anyone else it was in the car everyone was in the car together you were you were there yeah you were at the time of
35:07
consuming I we were all in the car I did not hear you say hey all' weren't Whispering take
35:13
laxatives together I turn around say have go you want one okay but like I
35:18
didn't know if you just wanted a mint I don't know n that wasn't it cough drops I
35:25
don't know could have been anything you are slinging some cough I I I wish I had them with me right now me too those
35:31
strawberry cream yes any who this was just a random comment that
35:39
I thought you would like to hear okay it says I keep forgetting you are 28 you're
35:44
so mature and older
35:51
looking but I think they meant it as a compliment but I so I just wanted you to
35:56
know when I hit like 26 my entire life I've been told I look older I act older you know whatever uh
36:04
when I hit about 2526 is when I no longer wanted to hear that I looked older um and I feel like for the most
36:12
part almost everyone says you look younger than you are I don't know I I I
36:17
really don't like I I've looked I feel like other than fluctuating in weight I feel like I don't look much different
36:24
than I did four years ago like I don't know look back at pictures I'm like yeah I could post that right now you know so
36:31
I don't know um thanks just wanted you to know what
36:37
about me no one said anything about you um I did see a few comments that I think
36:43
were about you but they said Matt so I don't know there's been some confusion there has been some Nate Matt confusion
36:50
Nate this is Nate hey Nate Nate um so I
36:57
Matt I don't know why he doesn't believe that you've been here since the beginning I actually went back to the
37:03
very first episode and I watched it and I'm in it yeah I'm on camera in the first episode yeah yeah so take that
37:11
Matt um cuz he was like I don't believe you the other day I was
37:17
like I I don't know what to tell like he was there um but yeah so Matt for the
37:25
longest time it was like oh yeah Matt started first and and then Nate joined well when it's been 2 years and there
37:30
was really only a month overlap of that you've been around the exact same time
37:36
so uh Matt you'll see him him in the last couple of episodes um rock and
37:42
stash without the beard um how would you describe Matt for
37:53
them brunette skinny mustache probably
38:01
hat Nate's the red head tattoos red tint see but the besides brunette and redhead
38:07
all of these descriptions I'm giving are both of them skinny probably hat
38:13
mustache tattoos Matt is mustache without beard yeah I I just I just I let
38:19
it go sometimes Nate's just must I think you should keep the beard going I was mustached for a couple months yeah I
38:27
like the level of beard at this moment should I keep it about this length I do and I
38:33
think because if you go too long while you're growing your hair out you'll just look homeless will you got to have some
38:39
like like like neck yeah you know neck shaving to it little bit um you got to
38:46
keep some clean cutness to your facial hair while you're growing your hair out I'm so excited for for Nate's mullet
38:53
bringing it back we need photos to pop up okay I can do that I have mullet pick so we need a mullet
38:59
pick right there yeah you're you're getting it you no you cut it for your wedding
39:05
didn't you yeah I cut it before it wasn't for the wedding I just looked in the mirror one day
39:10
and I didn't like it and so I just went that day and cut it off it was in your
39:17
like engagement photos though cuz I've seen those photos and it was full it was full full strength yeah is is Macy
39:25
excited for the mullet to return uh um I don't know if she really believes that I'll make it that long if we all tell
39:31
you that you won't do it is that what's going to cause you to do it I will say this I don't know how long I will grow
39:36
out my hair but when I get to the point that I think my hair is long enough and I want to cut it off I will go mullet
39:45
before I cut it short so if I grow another 4 inches and I'm like N I think
39:50
it's long enough for me this time I'll go mull it so whenever I get tired of growing it mull it first okay um
39:58
what do we need to do to get you to go further
40:06
though do we need to not believe in you do we need to verbally tell you that you can't do it no I'll know it's fake
40:13
oh well casting
40:18
doubt I think I think I'll do it I mean I'm currently on board I don't see any I'm pretty resolved you know what I
40:24
think is going to do it you know what I think is going to make you absolutely go nope not doing this the Ironclad baby
40:31
fist that is going to grab your locks that you're growing out and not let go I
40:39
think that is what is going to cause you to absolutely unravel it might because
40:45
there ain't no open in that no little baby fist little little sweaty baby fist
40:51
they're so strong you can't you can't get aing snotty baby fist a little slobbery baby holding your hair that
40:58
thing is impenetrable and they're just yeah they're going at it into a wall
41:07
like is she okay let's see at two months old is she grabbing
41:13
things yet or I don't know what like stages uh like if you put your finger out she'll grab it yeah is it
41:20
like it doesn't feel that strong yet because they get to a point where like I
41:25
yeah you can't combat them she's not there yet I think it's cuz they don't their little brain doesn't tell them
41:31
like oh maybe maybe ease up they just go full my first thing I always do whenever
41:37
I see someone's baby like to introduce myself is give it my finger yeah and it
41:43
just does a little it's a way to go and then we're like bonded yeah are you going to like my baby when
41:49
I have one no no I'm sure I will Kimmy's gonna hate
41:56
it yeah I think she'll hate it and then she'll love it cuz she hated Winnie and then she loved Winnie I want it to be a
42:02
boy why would you put that on me because I I want it to be a
42:08
boy why don't you because I I braid hair too good I know
42:16
makeup I I just feel like a girl mom well I think you should have both but I
42:22
think I'll just go ahead and tell my uterus that right you should plan for both but I think a boy first would be
42:29
best I will agree with you if I could guarantee I was having two and one was going to be a boy one
42:36
was be a girl if that was guaranteed me I would do boy first hands down older brother heck yeah absolutely I would
42:44
rather have an older brother than a younger brother yeah I always wanted an older brother especially like if he like if I
42:52
could have had a sibling I would have chosen an older brother who was like 18
42:58
months older than me and then he would bring hopefully he wouldn't be a weirdo and he'd have hot friends and then that
43:05
would have been great yeah that that's what my yeah I wish you had brother I
43:11
mean it definitely made you way cooler I think if you had an attractive sibling that was older than you either
43:17
way you were cooler especially if they picked you up from school and you're like y whoa that's his sister yeah I
43:24
remember thinking about that I remember thinking that about people like being like they're so cool they're so cool I
43:31
wish I did have like a smidge of that with my cousins so we all went to the same Christian School growing up and
43:39
they were all older than me I was the next to youngest and um this is a funny story actually this is like the closest
43:45
I ever got to having like a brother save me okay so we're still very close all my
43:51
cousins are close like I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year all my cousins their spouses children it's going to be 30 people um
43:57
we we were all just extremely close growing up so I very much felt like I had some semblance of like a sibling uh
44:06
relationship without having to live with them so like I still got beat up or like
44:11
terrorized on a regular basis and I had one to do it too um so I was in sixth
44:18
grade I won't use names in case they're watching they probably aren't but
44:24
they're probably in jail so
44:29
so I had a bully in sixth grade it was he was me it was a boy though too it
44:35
wasn't even a girl he was mean and it never did turn into oh they just like you honey no this kid was just rancid
44:43
okay um so he was being so mean to me was talking about me to other people it
44:50
wasn't even just to my face and so um one of my cousin's Neighbors in in their
44:57
neighborhood was in my grade and so they like drove to school together sometimes and they known each other his whole life
45:02
so this kid had you know defended me a little bit and told my cousins what this
45:08
kid was doing to me and so they took it upon themselves to come it was all in
45:14
like the same building like it was a k through 12 mhm uh private school and so
45:19
they came from the high school side over to the 11 like like the 11-year-old like the sixth grade side down the hallway
45:26
and they were like posted up outside my my home room door waiting on this kid
45:33
and like cuz it's kind of like adults can't they can only do so adults can only do so much but these like like I
45:41
think they were 14 and 16 you know like they're like as a little kid I would be
45:46
more intimidated for some reason yeah from a high schooler yeah yeah are you
45:52
kidding me and they were both on the football team and they're you know and I think they stood outside and posted up
45:58
and waited for this kid and then I don't know what words were said but he never picked on me
46:04
again and and like I mean I I do feel like that was the best option than
46:09
getting parents involved like I think parents involved it would have just made him more mean to me but yeah
46:16
yeah were you a bully Abigail do you think I was I was just
46:23
asking if you were a bully in school people Chang you know I I could not see you being a bully
46:28
no were you a bully I think a little bit oh no I was
46:34
both were you an insecure bully what does that mean like you're bullying people out of your own
46:39
insecurities probably because I got bullied too yeah so you were like midlevel and then you you'd beat up on
46:46
the little ones below you so it depend on I was in a lot of circles in school and depending on what Circle I was in I
46:52
would be at a different level within that group and so I think in some if I was at high
47:00
level I was probably tended to act a little more like a bully and if I was at Mid or lower I had a tendency to either
47:06
not get bullied or get bullied and so I think in some instances
47:11
I probably was a little bit of mostly out of attempts at humor I think right
47:18
at other people's expense I think I would do that some I can remember the only thing that I can look back on and
47:24
be like I really wish I hadn't done that I really wish my character had been better than that was there was a couple
47:30
times where I um participated in Gossip to try to be included and I really wish
47:37
I had not done that it's so hard not to do at that age yeah I wouldn't say I bullied people but I was very much in
47:45
like a a group of gossipy girl friends yeah but like I I I look back and that's
47:50
one thing that I'm like like that person that I I you know helped I didn't start
47:55
it but I helped spread because I I talked and like didn't like
48:01
like I wish I looked back on that and my character had been high enough that I would have been like guys we don't need to do this you know same
48:08
and I don't know I feel like I I wish that I had been more friendly to people
48:16
because I wasn't really mean but I also was just very awkward and like didn't go
48:22
out of my way to like talk to people and I think it came across as kind of you can bleep this at times but like I
48:31
don't think I was ever just outright like mean to people it was just kind of
48:37
I can't look back kind of same I I can't look back on what's so crazy is I was
48:44
not like myself in school I felt I wasn't either I don't Looking Back Now I
48:50
don't feel like I was but I mean obviously change a lot mhm I I was very
48:55
much myself in college I did I did was not myself in middle school and high school um and I think I think a little
49:02
bit of being bullied was into that so it was like I'd rather just be quiet than you know someone make fun of me or
49:07
whatever um like okay I kind of had a flashback I wasn't going to say anything
49:13
about this but I had a flashback during the photo shoot so at the end of it when
49:20
Matt and Nate were being funny and they were like sming and like doing it up
49:26
okay they were were like I don't know they had me in stitches I was laughing so hard I had a moment of realization
49:33
that I was laughing way harder than anyone else louder I was in my own oh my gosh I knew you were going to say this
49:38
and I was so and I was like I shouldn't have laughed that hard I should have like I could tell you were overthinking it because you've mentioned it probably
49:45
like three times because that's what would happen to me in middle school or high school I would like think something was so funny and like laugh really hard
49:52
and like just get my own little thing and then like people just like are you
49:57
okay like it's not that funny like or like would like make fun of me then for
50:04
laughing and um like I had a little a little like insecure flashback during
50:10
that and it's crazy I'm like I'm almost 30 years old yeah and almost 30 a little
50:16
afraid to laugh at your own house yeah yeah yeah yeah it's crazy it's crazy like how much of an effect all those
50:24
things that when you were younger yeah continue to have then carries with you yeah so if you are an adolescent
50:31
watching this right now didn't mean for this to turn into like a PSA but like you will never regret being the nice kid
50:37
you will never regret being the person that goes and talks to someone that doesn't have a friend you will never regret being kind ever you won't regret
50:46
it you won't and looking back we are not I I would say we're adults but we're not
50:51
so far out of school that we don't remember what school was like we're sitting here and still talking about like high school bullies and things and
50:59
like very VI Vivid memories I can look back still and and say to you like I wish I was the kid
51:07
that didn't gossip and I wish I was the kid that was just always had a smile on
51:13
my face for somebody or had a kind word for somebody being remembered for that
51:18
being a bright light in some you never know what's going on at kids homes you never know what's going on by high closed doors like you will just never
51:25
never never never regret being kind so just just putting that out there as adults looking back like that's what I
51:33
wish I could look back and say that I was like always and I think I let my own insecurities get in my way of being
51:39
other people's light same not to bring the vibe down
51:45
anymore but on a more serious note this what you just said made me think about
51:50
this but I had a friend who passed away a few weeks ago and that is like the one
51:56
thing that me and like everyone else that that knew her the one thing that
52:01
like we remember about her is that she was so like just always had a smile and
52:07
like that's what everyone remembers for her she was so nice to always had like a nice word for like anyone and always had
52:13
a smile and like that's what we remember her for and like I don't remember a single bad thing about her or negative
52:21
thing about her and so over the past few weeks I've just been like I really want to PE for people to remember me that way
52:28
right so just a little well like I saw a funny meme the other day it was like if
52:34
I die before my time y'all better not lie and say I lit up a dang room
52:39
like they always lit up a room and I'm sure a lot of people did
52:45
but yeah I saw that too like don't lie to them I did not
52:52
Light Up My Room uh yeah yeah so I don't know like
52:58
it it just it is crazy like I I like she said I've mentioned it a couple times
53:03
being like I was embarrassed that I let myself get that uh geeked out yeah and
53:09
then I was like oh no they all think I'm weird now but I'm almost 30 in my own
53:15
house yeah I also have an issue with like anytime anyone say something
53:23
that is intended as a joke or is intended to make people laugh at all I have a
53:29
problem with like feeling like I have to laugh mhm because I think I think that
53:35
probably comes from like like you feel like you have being younger and making jokes and not having people think they
53:42
were funny so when there's like a SM of delay when I say something and then you go yeah so um okay just so both of you
53:52
know it's it's not always real no it usually it is but we're just
54:00
silent there's we're just like I was going to make a joke but sorry I could have I could have gone
54:08
without knowing that okay well like I didn't say it I I appreciate knowing
54:13
that I assume that about everyone I I fake laugh myself sometimes I think
54:20
everyone fake laughs at certain things I think it's it's customary to just
54:25
chuckle yeah because like whenever I do and and
54:30
people don't laugh it is the worst feeling so like I never want anyone else
54:36
to feel like they're not being laugh like what do you think the ratio of real to fake
54:41
Isis I would say very rarely do I have to force myself to chuckle at things
54:48
usually if if something's got like a little bit of humor in it I can I can pretty easily find the humor in it you
54:56
know what I mean yeah but I'm not I don't I just don't like actually like laugh I can tell your
55:05
your laugh laugh off of your chuckle I can like there's a there's a big difference yeah the real laugh is like
55:11
his it comes very easily mhm or I'm just really funny um yours was that fake or
55:17
was that real I don't even know anymore can't laugh or not laugh at
55:23
anything now that's right um um I can tell you're like for
55:29
real for real laugh but that doesn't come as often so I have to work really hard for it but
55:36
doesn't that make you feel better when you get it it's like kind of like a
55:43
reward like that's your real one yeah anyway for the next week now I'm
55:48
going to be like real fake fake
55:56
hope y'all enjoyed today's episode uh we are really excited for what's to come in 2025 and uh we we couldn't be here
56:04
without yall so we're really thankful for you I hope you're safe this coming week with Thanksgiving and traveling and spending time with family um and I'll
56:11
see you in the next one
