Yo we're back another episode
Speaker:This was gonna be a little bit special because this is episode 50
Speaker:You know it's been a crazy time
Speaker:I remember recording the first episode and that was literally March 7th, 2024
Speaker:It's been over like a year and a half
Speaker:Um not as consistent as I wanted to be definitely but um almost there
Speaker:You know uh 52 episodes would mean that it would be one every week but there has been a little bit of lie on my part
Speaker:Um but regardless I think 50 episodes it's it's a lot
Speaker:It's a long way to go
Speaker:I think that um definitely not something very common
Speaker:Usually people don't get past 21 episodes
Speaker:Um it's a statistic that I found as I was researching
Speaker:And so what I did I tried to rush to 21 episodes as fast as I can
Speaker:I think there was a point where I was like in the beginning I was recording twice a week to do it
Speaker:Like I think it was like either Tuesday and like Friday just to get the hang of it
Speaker:Because I wanted to get as many reps as possible to become a better I guess creator be able to convey my thoughts be able to convey my opinions better
Speaker:And I think it has paid off a little bit
Speaker:Um because I think my the quality of the conversations that we have the whatever it is that I try to talk about or teach
Speaker:I think that I think it's good
Speaker:And so yeah let's get right into it dude
Speaker:I have reflecting on 50 episode reflecting of almost a years worth of work
Speaker:You know out of those 50 episodes there's 19 of them that have guests so a little bit on their half each with their own story their own struggles and their own successes
Speaker:And that's exactly why I started this podcast and started this channel to not only record my journey but to also be able to step into other people's journey and understand that some of the struggles that we go through as either entrepreneurs as people were all people are going throughout life
Speaker:All the struggles are now unique to yourself as well right
Speaker:There's someone else out there that's going through the same struggle or the has been through that same struggle
Speaker:And so by recording that asking the right questions and learning from them we can either be ready for those struggles or even better we can avoid those struggles
Speaker:So why trip over the same obstacle someone else has tripped when they're literally letting you know how to get over that right
Speaker:That's kind of my philosophy behind it
Speaker:But anyways uh some of the things that got a couple bullet points here that I wanted to talk about real quick
Speaker:If you're watching this on YouTube hit the like button drop a comment subscribe so you miss any future episodes
Speaker:And if you're listening to this on a podcast platform leave a review
Speaker:It'll help us out big time and it'll let us know that you guys actually like what we're putting out
Speaker:All right let's jump right in
Speaker:All those 19 guests let's talk with the guests first before I get into like I guess the things that I try to teach out or I try to convey all those 19 guests are they're all very different
Speaker:They're all at very different points in their journey
Speaker:They have gone through different things but they all share one thing in common
Speaker:Each and every single one of them wanted more they wanted to be better
Speaker:They wanted to be either the best at what they do or they just weren't comfortable with where they were no matter what the level of success was no matter if it was just starting out no matter if it was established or no matter if it was like more at the top level
Speaker:And they wanted more not just for themselves but for their future for their families for whatever it is that they were working towards
Speaker:And they did just that they went and they went to go get more they took action on that need slash want
Speaker:And it's something that sounds very very simple but it's often not
Speaker:When you're building something out of nothing it is extremely difficult excruciating painful and all the odds are literally set against you
Speaker:I mean like what 80 of businesses go out go out of business within the first three to five years
Speaker:That is eighty percent of 100% of dreams and goals are crushed in the first two to five years
Speaker:That's not even a long time right
Speaker:I mean there's been businesses that have been around for hundreds of years which is insane
Speaker:While everybody has their own story their all viewpoints their own opinions on things they all have those little golden nuggets that are worth keeping with you right
Speaker:You don't necessarily have to learn a lot from people you talk to or people that in my case I interview
Speaker:I'm more looking for those little golden nuggets right
Speaker:Like out of let's just say an hour of conversation there might be like five 10 15 points that they are bringing up
Speaker:Are those 15 like let's just out of those 10 points maybe two to three of them are actually applicable or are things that are new to me right
Speaker:And I mean I guess this kind of like goes a little bit into like the whole debating uh genre and stuff
Speaker:Like good debaters or people that like to discuss things often debate not only with people that are smarter than them but also people like regular people not necessarily smarter than them or better at that subject
Speaker:Because there is something to learn from every single conversation that you have
Speaker:The moment you start looking for something you can learn rather than just believing that you know everything is the moment that you start to value people's time people's opinions
Speaker:You not only value other people's opinion but you also try to see how they see things right
Speaker:Everybody has been raised differently right
Speaker:No two people the same even people in the same household right
Speaker:Even siblings twins everybody has been raised differently with very different scenarios right
Speaker:You have like the big brother the little sister the little brother vice versa
Speaker:They've all been living in the same house same parents same conditions yet they come out drastically different right
Speaker:So understanding where someone comes from often lets you know why they think the thing that they think why they think the thing why they think the thing that they think trying to say that five times but even in the conversations where you don't expect to learn a lot because maybe that's not like the industry that you're in or that's not necessarily a type of content that you watch or some topic of conversation that you might be comfortable with
Speaker:Like even then you there's a lot to learn from a person right
Speaker:Not from just how they handle themselves how they talk how they express their emotion how they express themselves in their viewpoints but also just kind of like learning that your world is not all that there is right
Speaker:There is life outside of just your own point of view right
Speaker:Like you go on your daily life and we often forget that people are living their own lives as well
Speaker:Like something that I do quite often is sometimes I'm outside either driving to the gym or like working or doing something
Speaker:I take a look around like an intersection or like a crowded place
Speaker:I'm just like listen out of all these hundreds of people they're all came they all woke up today they all did their thing they all went to work and are now doing their thing
Speaker:Like it's crazy to think that every single person is living their life and you are literally just a side character right
Speaker:It's something that I think about a lot and it's you know I'm trying to kind of like dissected and really understand it
Speaker:It's just kind of crazy when you think about it you know in front of the things that it's like duh right
Speaker:Like require what you talking about but it's definitely something that boggles my mind a little bit
Speaker:Hearing people stories and viewpoints whether you agree to it or not is a very good skill to have
Speaker:Never closing your mind off to viewpoints and ideas is important because if you want to be a long a lifelong learner which in entrepreneurship you kind of are forced to you have to learn that your mindset and your knowledge can change at any given point right
Speaker:If you think about it everything that we know about anything up to this point might just be a theory like we use time like time for example does time really exist or is time just like this contract that we fabricated to kind of understand how things work right
Speaker:Are the laws of physics real or are they just things that we use to understand the world
Speaker:I mean science again is the is humans understanding how the natural world works right
Speaker:Not necessarily how it actually works but how we can interpret it for our own benefit right
Speaker:So things can change like tomorrow we might wake up and we might not use time anymore who knows
Speaker:But um never being closed off to the idea that your view points might change
Speaker:You might be wrong about a subject the way that you're making this ad might be wrong even though you've done as your whole life
Speaker:Or the way that you think about how to treat people is wrong even though it's worked all your life
Speaker:Like things like that
Speaker:I think there's definitely room to not only improve but to change your perspective
Speaker:And these days that's not a very common trait to have right
Speaker:People usually subscribe to a belief or were you thinking
Speaker:And they kind of built their whole identity around it which I think that is actually a flaw because if you forever subscribe to this thing uh we're not talking about faith
Speaker:That's like completely different
Speaker:But like like the social construct and idea a way of doing things a system that you think is never gonna get broken
Speaker:If you don't constantly innovate constantly change and seek perfection and seek flaws in your own philosophy in your own way of thinking then you're just gonna get outdated
Speaker:Natural selection dude if humans forever stayed as like these primates and stuff we would have never evolved to like having anything at all
Speaker:Like if humans didn't like venture out and like I don't know build fire or whatever discover fire then would be in cave still like I don't know eating whatever is that we eat
Speaker:And so why fight against natural human nature and close yourself off close your mind off to everything just because you think you're right
Speaker:You are not right like almost like 80 of the time you just not right
Speaker:So um yeah I think that we should take a slice of humble pie and just listen to other people right that not only makes you a smart person but also makes you a caring person
Speaker:Hey real quick if you're still watching or listening congratulations
Speaker:You don't have the attention span of a goldfish and it also seems like you like what you're listening or watching
Speaker:So why not subscribe leave a comment like or if you're in a podcast platform these are review it helps us out more than you think
Speaker:All right let's get back into it
Speaker:Also throughout this whole 50 episodes like I see them with guest
Speaker:It's also helped me become much more fluent in my information expressing skills I guess
Speaker:And in questioning my question in formating my questions and to trying to be like I often try to be as explicit as I can be while maintaining a level of efficiency in a conversation
Speaker:Right
Speaker:Because like for me for example like I it's a pet peeve when people kind of beat around a bush uh in the sense of like they're saying like so yeah like um I was going to ask you guys about this but I didn't want to take your time with it
Speaker:And you know I would completely wanna respect you guys
Speaker:I whatever you guys think it's gonna be okay
Speaker:Like I'm just letting you know this and this and that instead of just saying like hey guys this is what I think blah blah blah blah blah what do you guys think
Speaker:You know like sure one like the latter example or the first example might look like you're trying to be carrying or whatever but at the same time like you're wasting people's time by apologizing for wasting people's time which makes no sense
Speaker:Like that might be a horrible example now that I look back into it but I think that I'm being efficient in conversations trying to get your point across as fast as possible while maintaining a level of um grammar vocabulary lexicon that is that anybody can listen to and understand is actually harder than it seems
Speaker:Because the more information you take in the more maybe complex words complex with complex vocabulary and stuff
Speaker:And to become a good efficient communicator you have to have like it's a study
Speaker:You have to have like a third grade uh communications and like vocabulary for everybody to be able to get that message
Speaker:And it's actually harder than you think
Speaker:But um this has definitely helped me out with that
Speaker:And I completely appreciate every single person that has either helped me out with the videos or has been a guest or that has a had anything to do with that
Speaker:So yeah I believe that I am a very long way from becoming a master at a conversation or I like to say a master converse converse shot
Speaker:Anyways converse session is conversationist
Speaker:I believe that I am a long way from becoming a master conversationist
Speaker:I don't even know that's really a word but this is everything that I love doing
Speaker:I love talking to people
Speaker:I love picking people's brains especially when there's something that I want to learn from this person
Speaker:Because again being forever student is the goal your eventually surpass your master
Speaker:Yes but you will forever keep learning no matter what
Speaker:Because somebody will come with a different view of things and complete like obliterate the old way of thinking
Speaker:It has been proven time and time and time again that this happens so therefore become a student of life never assume that you know everything actually assume that you know nothing
Speaker:There's someone famous that said that I forget who it was but um assume that you know nothing cause that's really the only thing that you know
Speaker:And like I said man like all these 19 guests that have been in the podcast man like if you guys are watching this like you guys rock and you guys would definitely kill it
Speaker:I get I try to get people that not only do I wanna talk to but also have something to bring to the table um or something or they're doing something that I'm interested in learning
Speaker:And hopefully the viewers you guys uh can resonate with that because I wanna keep doing it
Speaker:Uh and I think the content has switched a little bit uh from the beginning
Speaker:Cause when I started this I kind of wanted it to just be about business about my journey from building a business from zero dollars to a million dollars
Speaker:And then I quickly realized that like like I haven't reached a million yet but it is hard
Speaker:It's just not impossible and the more you know the more you're like well I'm gonna get there regardless right
Speaker:It's just a matter of time and effort and the more effort you put the last time it takes
Speaker:Right
Speaker:So then I figure like okay once I get to a million dollars like what then
Speaker:Right like do I just like not do anything else for my life
Speaker:Like am I just gonna shut this thing down
Speaker:Like no
Speaker:And then I named it at first it was the journey what is it called
Speaker:Like the journey from zero to million dollars
Speaker:And then it was like the million Dollar Journey
Speaker:And then I just completely scratch that and I just named it the journey because I quickly realized that whether your goal is to make a million dollar business whether your goal is to impact as many people as possible whether your goal is to grow closer to god whether your goal is to be be like create a gorgeous happy family and a future where you have no worries at all
Speaker:The destination is never really the most satisfying part
Speaker:It is definitely satisfying but it's not the most satisfying because there will be no destination without the journey right
Speaker:And it's where you learn the most you change the most you laugh the most you cry the most you bleed the most you have the most pain yet
Speaker:It's something that feels so good it feels so good to make progress
Speaker:It feels more good or better to make progress and to reach the goal especially like in like the gym for example gym is a clear example of this
Speaker:You know when you start out you can barely like I don't know bench press like 20 fives on each side you know and then eventually you get to one play and you're like man this feels great
Speaker:Like that was my goal onto the next
Speaker:So you literally are excited and you congratulate yourself for five seconds and then you're like okay let's do two plates
Speaker:And now you're back to it every single day for weeks pumping iron until you get to those two places
Speaker:And then when you go to this place you're like fuck yeah we did it
Speaker:All that work was not for nothing and then you wanna do three plates
Speaker:So it's like why make the target a destination when the target should just be to literally enjoy the process be as present with the process as you can try to teach people along the way
Speaker:And I think that the current like social media environment really focuses on like the goals really focuses on the end destination
Speaker:Like I keep saying not enough people want to see what's in the middle when other people show was in the middle right
Speaker:Like in the movie Rocky like that Rocky cutscene where he's training and stuff that feels like it takes two minutes
Speaker:That is years of work
Speaker:Like someday I'll upload a video of like hey we finally hit a million dollars and then I'll get I'll I can almost guarantee that I'll get so many congratulations so much like good work
Speaker:I would feel great for a day
Speaker:And then I would look back at videos like this and then i'mma be like dude like I was even though I was going through it in those times
Speaker:The lows were so low that in me even the slightest high feel like I was on cloud nine
Speaker:And that is something that you need to be grateful for
Speaker:Because the more you succeed the less the lows are
Speaker:Because there's more you know you have put systems in place there's people in place there's this and this and this XYZ in place and so the chances of failure go down
Speaker:There's still a chance of failure but it's not the same as when you didn't know if it was gonna work out right
Speaker:People often people say I see this all the time in interviews with people that are either like successful in business or they have success in other areas but mostly business they're always like if someone had told me at the beginning that I would have done XYZ made XYZ amount of money I probably wouldn't have believed it
Speaker:And if they told me how hard and everything that I had to do to make sure that happens they probably wouldn't have done it
Speaker:And I think that is the beautiful thing about starting a journey like this right
Speaker:Like a lot of people tell you that okay going to visit by yourself because you wanna create your own schedule because you want to make your own money you don't wanna depend on anybody x y z great talk go talk to a business owner like a local business owner and they will tell you like yo like I envy people that have jobs
Speaker:You know they they get up at a certain time they go to work for a certain amount of hours and they come back and eat that that that's it they don't have to do anything else
Speaker:Sure there's people that hate their jobs and people that hate their life whatever I mean it happens it happens
Speaker:But there's also people that are so happy they have figured out their lives they have stable a job with a very nice pay with their wife the dog the kids all that stuff
Speaker:The thing that social media won't tell you is how hard it is because there is nobody that you have to fall back on you fall back on yourself right
Speaker:You fall back on you and your ability to quickly adapt quickly learn things right like if someone would have told me that I had to worry about fucking like I don't know insurance policies and like workers this and workers that and fucking legal shit I would have been like fuck that
Speaker:But it is such a crucial part of the business and it's like bro like who's gonna tell me this
Speaker:And you literally won't learn about this unless you have to do this right
Speaker:Like it's crazy but it's part of it and it's enjoyable at some point
Speaker:It's gonna get boring right
Speaker:When you when you reach your level success there's no more there's no more huge UPS and downs
Speaker:There's just a more constant pace and that's when a lot of people like they lose their purpose and stuff
Speaker:And this is also something that I Learned from the guess having a purpose that's bigger than yourself that's bigger than money that's bigger than your future is like almost necessary for your own survival
Speaker:Because like for example me as a man like most of the things I do are for my future family for my kids for my wife cause I want them to have the best future possible
Speaker:And that's a purpose as bigger for myself but then also I also have a purpose to be able to help out as many people as I can whether it's through through content whether it's through any like terrible contributions that I do in the future whatever kind of philanthropic philanthropic arm that I choose or start
Speaker:Like believe in the saying that you should leave this world ever so slightly better than you found it or that you came into it
Speaker:And the people who don't do that people who leave it worse you know praying for them but I don't think that's a good trade off
Speaker:You know um I think purposes really important
Speaker:A man without purpose is a man without guidance
Speaker:A man without a guide or guidance is a broken man
Speaker:A broken man make broken families broken children broken wives
Speaker:And then the cycle is a horrible ugly cycle that is being reflected everywhere today
Speaker:So yeah I think that um it's been a quite the journey
Speaker:I mean we're barely even started and I really like where this is going
Speaker:I have lots of plans
Speaker:I definitely want this to go pro and we will see you know episode 100 where we're at
Speaker:You know uh I don't expect a huge uptake of anything anytime soon
Speaker:Fact
Speaker:This is also something I Learned
Speaker:Matter of fact before I wrap this up I'll put this in there
Speaker:The laid gratification is something that gets thrown around
Speaker:Like it's fucking like popcorn or some shit right
Speaker:It's like candy or Halloween but it's really a crucial thing like throughout your whole life
Speaker:You're really I want to say doctorate because that's like really like a conspiracy term but I would say that you're taught and you're drilled into your mind that you know quick things like a quick dopamine hit this and this and that is the way to go
Speaker:No one knows how to wait how to be patient how to savor things how to understand that things will get better
Speaker:Like there's so much things in life that takes so long to do
Speaker:Like relationships careers self development
Speaker:It takes years years to do it
Speaker:Everybody's just so focused on being so fast which is good
Speaker:Source of urgency is good
Speaker:But when it when it starts to become a problem when it starts to affect you in such a negative way it's no longer good
Speaker:Understanding that delete gratification not only means that you wait for something to happen it also means that you're patient that you understand that this is a process that you understand that your five inputs today you will not you will maybe see one output out of those five inputs but in three years times those five inputs that you made consistently will like multiply by 100 x and you'll see the future labor
Speaker:It just takes a long time
Speaker:It takes a lot of work
Speaker:But well if it was easy then everybody else will be doing it
Speaker:And every single person I talked to has reinforced that time and time and time again
Speaker:And I believe that you know they're all crushing it
Speaker:Everyone's doing their thing
Speaker:And I really appreciate each of the guest when it comes to any other episodes I've just kind of been putting out what's in my mind right
Speaker:And as I grow as a person as a man as a partner and as a business owner the leader my view points will change I would hope so
Speaker:And some for good some for bad lessons will be Learned right
Speaker:But I like this and I think that everybody should be recording their journey whether you're doing something good or not
Speaker:I wanna see something good whether you're doing something of significance at starting something or whether you're just doing it because you wanna do it
Speaker:You know I think this is a great way where we live in a time where it's so easy to do this uh that I feel like everybody should do it just to see the growth or the stagnation uh of yourself
Speaker:But yeah this was just a quick little reflection on the past 50 episodes almost a years worth of consecutive content um loved in definitely expect more
Speaker:I'm not stopping anytime soon
Speaker:I will definitely try to get back on the wagon with more consistent uploads
Speaker:So expect that expect a lot more guests and thank you guys very much for your time
Speaker:I'll catch you guys later
Speaker:Thank you so much for listening and for watching
Speaker:It really does mean the world to us and we really appreciate every single one of you who sticks around all the way until the end
Speaker:Don't forget to like comment subscribe leave a review in podcast platform
Speaker:It really does help us grow
Speaker:And until next time see you guys
