Speaker:Have a listen and let us know what you think.
Speaker:Hi, I'm Rob Carver, author of the book, 366 Days of Tennis, a tip a day to improve your
Speaker:game.
Speaker:In today's tip, I'm going to give you an edge early in the match.
Speaker:When you're warming up, stop focusing on how well you're hitting the ball or how you're
Speaker:not feeling good about your strokes and pay attention to your opponent.
Speaker:Find out if they like their 400 backhand better.
Speaker:How do you do this?
Speaker:Hit the ball right at them.
Speaker:If they move one side or the other, they'll tell you what shot they like the best.
Speaker:Also pay attention where they hit their first serve.
Speaker:Most players hit their favorite shot the first time they serve.
Speaker:Pick up on these little cues and warm-ups.
Speaker:Share them with your partner, which is very important, and that's going to give you an
Speaker:edge.
Speaker:Rather than worrying about your game, you'll find out your opponent's strengths and weaknesses.
Speaker:All right?
Speaker:Have a great day and hang tough.
Speaker:Well, there you have it.
