He said, I will certainly return to you at this time next year, and behold, your wife Sarah will have a son.

And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which she was behind him.

At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.

Sarah denied it.

Saying, I did not laugh, for she was afraid.

But he said, No, but you did laugh.

In this passage, Sarah overhealed.

Next is that joy comes when we see the fulfillment of God's promises.

Sarah's story reminds us that the path to joy often passes through seasons of hardship, delay, and even despair.
