I want to help you with that today. So stay tuned. You're listening to the brave hearted woman coming soon, January 2022. At the top of the year, I have an exciting opportunity for you. My uncover your brave vision coaching journey course is launching again, it's brand new, and I can't wait for you to experience it. So let's talk about these new year's resolutions just for a moment. And I really want to get into vision more than anything. But the main reason why I don't set new year's resolutions is that those resolutions just are not specific enough. In fact, that's why most people fail. Because it's always good to dream big, you know that we're going to dream big. Here we are brave women. But we need to break those dreams down into what we call smart goals, and set a reasonable timeline for our goals and measure our progress and get specific. Did you know then that less than 8% of people actually even stick to their goals? That's kind of a staggering statistic, isn't it? Why people don't do it. And so by February, most people have fallen off the wagon, and according to some estimates, it's still millions of Americans continue to set goals and high hopes and New Year's resolutions. But they don't get specific enough. I mean, how about it for you? Have you set that goal of I want to read more, and I want to eat less. And I want to pray more than I want to spend less and I want to save more money? Well, those things just aren't specific enough. Or they let for example, it's take a book, I love to read more. That is definitely a goal more than a resolution. Because my resolute my will, it'll go out the window really quickly once I feel like a failure or there's something else and sparkly and wonderful coming along. So I've got to get it really specific. So I want to read more. Maybe I want to read 12 books a year. Okay, that's getting more specific. That means I need to read one book a month. Okay, one book a month. That means I need to see how many chapters are in that book and divide it by four and say I need to read three chapters a week. That means I need to read seven pages a day or whatever it is. Or maybe you'd say I'd like to save more money this year. Okay, that's a great goal. How much more money? Well, I want to save $5,000 more this year. Okay, that means you need to save about $415 a month. Okay, so that means I need to save 100 dollars a week, you get the idea. Many people don't reach their goals, because they're not specific enough. But let me tell you something, one of the bigger reasons is because people just don't have a vision for their life. And that's what I really want to talk to you about today. Do you have a clear and persuasive and compelling vision for your life? Or are you just living day to day coming calm, whatever may, just from one moment to the next one high experience to one low experience, really just kind of going aimless, no clarity?

Oh, man, I hope not. That's not the way that you want to live your life. And I think to myself, why don't women live with a strong, passionate, compelling vision for their life?

Well, I want to tell you, I've actually come up with the answers. Because I have recently had the opportunity to interview over 50 Women for my new online course that I'm doing. And the top four reasons that I've heard over and over and over again, why women don't have a vision. The first one is they say to me, I'm afraid to dream. They say I've been disappointed, and I have a fear of being let down again, or I have a fear that I will fail. They are just afraid to dream. Somehow they believe that if they dream about what their life could be, what it could look like, where they could go, what they could accomplish what they could do, that somehow if they dream that they're going to be disappointed, and that they would lose contentment with their life. You see, they're happy and satisfied. They think, with average in status quo, really, they're just content being average. But I believe that they're not, if you really boil it down. The women that I spoke to, they know there's more inside of them, they believe they can do more, they're just afraid to dream. And at the end of the day, they don't really feel like they're living their full potential. Here's the second reason why women live their life with no vision, just going from day to day. And that's because they don't believe there's anything special about them. Or for them, they don't believe they are entering into a story that they tell about themselves, about their abilities, capabilities, what they're able to do, and they have limiting beliefs, they have self sabotaging beliefs, they have a sense of unworthiness, they don't really truly believe that there actually is something special about them, or there actually is something special for them. But I just want to tell you today that is a limiting belief that is a lie. And we need to smash that lie. Because I'm totally 1,000% convinced that there is something special about you. And there is something special for you. Of course there is your Creator put it inside of you before you ever drew one breath, you have a treasure inside of you. And here's the reason number three that I heard. They're too busy with the small stuff to get serious about vision. This is just procrastination is just kind of being undisciplined and unorganized. I kept hearing, I'm gonna do that. You know, I know that there's more for me. And one day, I'm gonna do that right now. I just kind of have to get through this season. I'm really busy. I got a lot going on. lots happening. I'm wearing a lot of hats. Well, you're living the life that you choose. You absolutely are. If you've got a lot of hats, if you've got a lot going on, it's because you're choosing that. So why not choose to put your vision first. You've all probably heard of the experiment where they're sitting with a glass container. And then there's all these big rocks and then there's all little pebbles and then there's sand and then there's water. And they say fill up this, this empty container. They take the pebbles and they fill it up and then they take some water, they take some sand and they say now in fact Stephen Covey is the one who does this. He says now take the big rocks and try to put it in. Well, you can't there's no room. Well, what if I told you the big rocks in your life are your vision it's your purpose. It's your calling. It's your God ordained reason for being It's why he puts you on this earth. And what if your life is so filled with little pebbles and water and sand, all the small stuff that you don't have time, you don't have space to put your vision in place, and so you never live it out? Well, one of the Regrets of Dying people is that they did not spend more time doing something that they felt always in their heart called to do. That's not going to be you. Put in the big rocks first. Stop with the procrastination, find some discipline, this is your moment to become organized, don't put it off anymore. Today's the day stop being too busy. Getting squirreled out, you know it squirreled out is right chasing this and chasing that you've got to stay serious, you've got to stay focused, I've got to stay focused, I'm doing that for you, because you are my calling, motivating you and encouraging you. So let's put down the small, little incremental, non necessary, busy stuff, the little things that add up, and let's get the big rocks in our life. And the fourth reason that I want to share with you today, and there are a few more, but the fourth reason is that women won't invest in themselves. They feel like it's selfish, or they think there's something really honorable and noble about sacrificing their calling. For others. That is not noble. That is ripping people off. That's ripping God off. But it's ripping people off, because you have a gift inside of you. That's like saying, I have a house full of food here. But I'm not going to share it with anyone because I feel that would be selfish. You go, Well, that makes zero sense. And so does this. Not investing in yourself to grow and unleash your gift for the world. That's not selfish. That's just stupid. It's sometimes we need a little push in the tush. Don't we? I'm just giving you a little push in the tush. You're not You're not being selfish. You're not sacrificing for others. When you don't do that. You're you're ripping them off. So let's, let's get intentional. Yes, invest in yourself. Yes, buy that equipment. Yes, go to that school. Yes, get that education, absolutely. Go to that conference, invest in yourself, get the software that you need, so that you can fully, fully release your gift and and find your potential. I mentioned to you a moment ago that I had the privilege of interviewing nearly 50 women and all of them are about 40 years and older 40 5060. And I was sad to learn that some of these women really didn't believe that there was something special for them. But then there was another percentage of women to my delight. They believe that they do, you know, have special gifts. They said, Yeah, I definitely have something inside of me. I definitely believe that. There's more for me to do. And big cheer here. By the way, yay.

If you're 4050 6070 Yes, there's more for you to do. So I was thrilled to hear that. But at the same time of those who believe that they had something specific, they had no special plan, no written goals. And they all admitted that they probably will never reach their desired destiny. Sad. Exhale here, right? It's like, ah, in other words, 95% of the women that I spoke to don't believe that the second half of their life can be the best half of their life. And how tragic to think that that means that their best days are behind them.

No way. Am I going to live like that. No way. Should you live like that. No, don't let this be you. You have to get a vision for your life. My friend, my sister. You have to believe that not only is there something special for you, but this is your moment. This is your season. Don't waste another day get a vision for your life. And as we come upon a new year, this is the greatest time the best time to start dreaming again and gaining a vision for you find your true north. You know because when you find your true north when you know what it is that you're supposed to do First of all, if you can navigate daily choices, will this bring me closer to my goal? or further away from my goal? Will this help me reach my specific not New Year's resolutions? But my specific goals? Or will it delay me and you get to choose once again. But you also when you have a true north, you clarify your purpose, and then you understand the steps that you need to take. So instead of kind of just living haphazardly, whatever there is to do, you start getting very specific because you have clarity. For example, for me, I know and I start every morning with my morning routine. And I start with the very specifics with my day. And then I always make the list, usually with the top three things, what are the things that I have to do today, then after I do the things I have to do, then I can get to the things I can do or want to do. And hopefully the things that I have to do, are also the things that I want to do, because how sad it is to live a life that you don't want to live. So for me, for example, today is the day that I record. So the thing that I want to do most, and the thing that I have to do is sit here and record this podcast so I can share with you. And that is what I do every day, and very specific. So how do I produce four podcasts a month and 50 podcasts a year? Well, I'm very specific about it. And I make sure that I get it done. So my purpose is clarified. And the steps that I need to take are very clear. And also vision gives your life energy and motivation. And it really is a reason to get up. I wake up without an alarm clock because I'm excited about my dream. I want to keep dreaming. I want to just say something to you, ladies who maybe are afraid to dream. In fact, let me share this story with you. This will encourage you to dream. This is a story about a true story about a young boy. His name is Monty Roberts. And Monty Roberts. He was a kid whose dad was a horse trainer. And he was moving from stable a stable they lived in the back of a truck. They went from ranch to ranch training horses. And so the boys school career was constantly interrupted. And one day when he was a senior, his teacher asked him to write about what he wanted to do when he grew up after graduation. And he didn't hesitate a minute, he wrote a seven page paper about his aim to be an owner of a horse ranch. And he wrote all the details. He drew the location he put pictures in there, he drew pictures of the stables. He he detailed the house plan that he wanted to live in. He was very clear on his dream very specific. Two days later, after he turned in his paper, he received his paper back with a big red letter F on the front page. Can you imagine an after class he came to the teacher and he asked why did I receive an F? And the teacher responded, this dream is so unrealistic for a boy like you. You have no money. You have no resources, and you come from an itinerant family. There's no possibility that you're going to reach this goal or these dreams. So the teacher offered she said listen, if you want to rewrite your paper with a more realistic attitude, and dream it and by the way does realistic and dream even go together.

Then I'll reconsider. So the boy went home and he asked his father what he should do. And the father said, you know Monty, I don't know what to tell you to do. This decision is very important for you. But I do know this that whatever decision you make, it will impact the rest of your life. Will several days later the boy brought the same paper back to his teacher with no changes. And he said to her, You know what? I've decided you can keep the f I'm going to keep my dream. Today Monty Roberts owns a 4000 square foot house in the middle of a 200 acre horse ranch. He still has that school paper by the way with the big red F on its framed and now hangs over his fireplace. He's a millionaire and has prize winning horses all over the place. He's an author, he writes books he's like the original Horse Whisperer. How about you? Isn't it time for you to dream again, it doesn't matter if you know the how, in fact, you probably won't know the how you shouldn't know the how it wouldn't be a dream. Put something on paper that you think without favor from God, there's no way this can come to pass. Because putting stuff on your vision board that you can create and make happen. That's good. That's reaching your goals and your physical strength and organization. But how about dreaming about something? That's so crazy? Yes, you're afraid to speak it out loud. And by the way, never tell a big vision to a small mind, because they're not gonna understand just like this teacher. But I'd like to say to you let them keep their F, F and you keep your dream, right. So I want to invite you into an opportunity as a result of the interviewing that I've done. I've gathered some of the top seven objections that women raise when they think about fulfilling their dream and destiny. They're actually fears and limitations. procrastinations self sabotaging lies, I've answered those questions. And then I've put a plan together for you to uncover a vision, how to become brave how to dream, and how to actually see your dream come to pass, so that it's not just a New Year's resolution, but you are actually going to begin to live out your dream, just like Monty Roberts. If you're 40 5060 and beyond, this is truly for you. If you believe there is more for you. Or you don't believe there's more for you. But you're willing to take a brave step into considering that the God of the universe actually has you on his radar and wants to give you favor. You need to overcome some of those lying scary thoughts that have you fear struck and stuck. And you need to join this growing movement of brave hearted women.
