Unknown:

Hey, I'm Paige Killian, founder and CEO of everything

Unknown:

with style. I've built a business helping busy moms of

Unknown:

littles get organized in three simple steps. Like many of my

Unknown:

clients, I love being a mom. And I also desire more. If you've

Unknown:

ever felt that stirring in your heart, that whisper or really

Unknown:

loud voice that keeps you up at night, then you are in the right

Unknown:

place. Because this is not a solo mission. Whether you're a

Unknown:

little curious or totally ready to be a mom, boss and use your

Unknown:

God given gifts to serve others step into your calling, turn

Unknown:

your passions into purpose, and still make it to the carpool

Unknown:

line on time, then girlfriend, it's time to pivot. I've got

Unknown:

you. Now let's get started.

Unknown:

Hey, my friend, welcome back to another episode of the time to

Unknown:

pivot podcast, we are cruising through launch week, I am so

Unknown:

grateful that you have chosen to come back and listen to all of

Unknown:

these episodes. I hope that it is firing you up. I hope it is

Unknown:

providing value. I hope that it's encouraging you that you

Unknown:

get to show up as you and we are going to work together to figure

Unknown:

out how to use your God given gifts to serve others to get out

Unknown:

of this place of stress, and frustration and stuckness if

Unknown:

you're there, if you are in the middle of a pivot and transition

Unknown:

into this new place, feeling whole feeling supported, feeling

Unknown:

like you're on the right track to help others because what is

Unknown:

more beautiful than that, you can help yourself and you can

Unknown:

help others. How beautiful. So is there this thing that is

Unknown:

coming up for you? That is stopping you? Is there this

Unknown:

thing that's making you feel like what you desire is wrong.

Unknown:

We already talked about guilt. All right, we talked about that

Unknown:

mom guilt if you're a mom, we talked about that guilt and

Unknown:

saying goodbye to that on episode three. Are you stressed

Unknown:

because you feel like you don't know what the next step is? All

Unknown:

right, we talked about on Episode Two about how my three

Unknown:

E's philosophy helped me simplify whenever I'm setting

Unknown:

goals, and I want to achieve them. Because we can get

Unknown:

overwhelmed whenever we feel like there's a whole bunch of

Unknown:

different things that are stacked against us or that are

Unknown:

making it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. All

Unknown:

right. Are you feeling worried or anxious about showing up as

Unknown:

you who you authentically are? We talked about on the last

Unknown:

episode how I am such a strange in I suppose lovely combination

Unknown:

of mom, business owner, faith based believer and lover of 90s

Unknown:

Hip Hop, it gets me excited. And I don't think there's anything

Unknown:

wrong with having all those different parts of you that make

Unknown:

you whole. I think what's wrong is if you're not tapping into

Unknown:

all those different parts of you, because then you're showing

Unknown:

up halfway. So if today, we're gonna talk about fear, fear of

Unknown:

failure, fear that gets in the way and keeps you stuck. Or

Unknown:

keeps you second guessing yourself. So what about a part

Unknown:

of you is maybe holding you back is is there a part of you that

Unknown:

not showing up wholly you because you're like, What if

Unknown:

people aren't going to like this one part of me? What if people

Unknown:

like I shared in the last episode? What if people think my

Unknown:

accent is awful? Maybe it is. Maybe it is awful? Maybe you

Unknown:

like it? I've had a lot of people say oh I love your accent

Unknown:

Are you from the south? A lot of people are like are you from

Unknown:

Texas? No see other ut the other orange ut really really

Unknown:

Tennessee and Texas. We couldn't have had a little bit more

Unknown:

division like we have a similar accent. We have a TI we have ut

Unknown:

Texas, Tennessee, we have the orange. Let's do something to

Unknown:

differentiate us. I will say ut definitely. Texas definitely has

Unknown:

a better orange than we do. Tennessee has that like slight

Unknown:

crazy bright scream in orange. It's not bad. It's not bad. But

Unknown:

I feel like there's a little more depth in that burnt orange

Unknown:

that Texas has. Okay. So the point is we're tapping in to the

Unknown:

whole us. You're if you're an orange bleeder if you're a

Unknown:

whatever it is about you that makes you special and uniquely

Unknown:

you. That's what we're tapping into. And we're going to talk

Unknown:

about how out a day, we can do that without the fear. Because

Unknown:

fear is a liar. Fear holds us back because it makes us believe

Unknown:

that we can't move forward. Can't needs to be taken out of

Unknown:

the equation. If you're here because you feel like you've got

Unknown:

this thing that is brewing inside of you that, as I've

Unknown:

mentioned before, keeps you up at night causes you to be on a

Unknown:

loop in your head and think, am I supposed to be doing this? Am

Unknown:

I supposed to be not doing this? Am I supposed to like how do I

Unknown:

make sense of all of this. And then fear comes in, when you

Unknown:

start to get maybe a little clearer about something and goes

Unknown:

boom, roadblocks stop, you can't do it, this forward momentum

Unknown:

that you've got, we are going to put a speed bump right in front

Unknown:

of you. That's rude. That's not cool. And where does fear come

Unknown:

from, can come from a lot of different places. I feel like it

Unknown:

comes from the enemy. For the most part. You can think about

Unknown:

when I say enemy as whatever you want. I'm gonna let you put a

Unknown:

face and a name to that. But I know that I feel like when I am

Unknown:

stuck and stressed, and I need to move forward. A lot of times

Unknown:

it is because fear is heavily weighing on me. Why do we give

Unknown:

fear that much authority in our lives? Why? Now some might say

Unknown:

that fear is put on us as a way of protecting us as a way of

Unknown:

keeping us safe. Let's think about it. If you had to go from

Unknown:

one side of the road to another side of the road, and there were

Unknown:

cars whizzing by, and it's pouring down rain, and you're

Unknown:

feeling nervous and doubt comes into place that you're like do I

Unknown:

get to cross this road safely? Or is this going to be tragic?

Unknown:

Is this going to end in a big fat disaster? Well, that is

Unknown:

something that your body and your brain, your heart, your

Unknown:

soul, your mind, or whatever you're thinking could be showing

Unknown:

up because it's keeping you safe. But guess what happens?

Unknown:

You're missing out on what's on the other side of that busy

Unknown:

crazy road? And are Are we okay with that? There are parts of us

Unknown:

that are protected. When fear comes in where we're safe or

Unknown:

protected, we're comfortable, that are okay to feel I feel

Unknown:

safe and secure. In my home. I know that it is not

Unknown:

impenetrable. We have an alarm system, just as extra support.

Unknown:

Talk about being safe and protected. That gives you that

Unknown:

extra support. How can you arm yourself? I don't know if you've

Unknown:

ever read or thought about or discussed putting on the armor

Unknown:

of God. So before you get up and get ready to go out and your day

Unknown:

and do all the things that you're supposed to be doing. Do

Unknown:

you put on the armor of God? Do you have that faith? Have you

Unknown:

armed yourself with Scripture and support and whatever it is

Unknown:

you need? That makes you feel like whatever comes I can

Unknown:

weather the storm because I have this security on my side? Well,

Unknown:

that's great. That is okay. And that is part of where fear can

Unknown:

help us. I'm sure you've heard, feel the fear and do it anyway.

Unknown:

Because sometimes tapping into that fear can make us feel so

Unknown:

flipping strong when we get to the other side. Because we can

Unknown:

look back and be like, Did you see what I just did? Oh my gosh,

Unknown:

oh, my goodness, I just came through this really tough thing.

Unknown:

And I was super scared. I was fearful that I decided I'm just

Unknown:

gonna, I'm just gonna do it anyway. Now, if you're at that

Unknown:

place where you're like, Well, that's all well and good. But

Unknown:

how do you do it anyway? When you're scared? I get that. I

Unknown:

hear that. That's a reasonable question. So I've mentioned so

Unknown:

many times already, I will continue to say this you tap

Unknown:

into whatever you need to tap into. For me, it's my faith. I

Unknown:

want to share some verses with you really quickly because I

Unknown:

think they've helped me and I think that they can help you as

Unknown:

well. I'm not going to share some of the ones on anxiety

Unknown:

because I'm going to talk about that in the future because oil

Unknown:

boy I'm going to share with you some personal experiences of

Unknown:

anxiety. So all go into that a little bit deeper another time

Unknown:

if you're an anxious person, you're in good company.

Unknown:

I'm here with you my friend and I'm going to share with you some

Unknown:

things that have helped me a lot. And also by the way, have I

Unknown:

opened up the line of communication for you guys to

Unknown:

share with me your thoughts as well. Please Please hear me when

Unknown:

I say that on this podcast, I really want it to be like a

Unknown:

conversation. That's why I'm super excited about having

Unknown:

guests on. So they can share their experiences so that we can

Unknown:

all learn. I am so wide open to receive thoughts and messages

Unknown:

that you have, because you might be ahead of me in a lot of ways

Unknown:

on this journey, and you might have some great advice. So

Unknown:

please, please, please go to everything with style.com. And

Unknown:

there is a contact page there, please put in your information.

Unknown:

If you want to weigh in on something that I talked about on

Unknown:

an episode, if you would like to share your wisdom and your

Unknown:

brilliance, so that it can either make it into a podcast

Unknown:

episode so that we could connect so that you could be a guest on

Unknown:

the show, or so that you can simply have that back and forth

Unknown:

conversation with me if if you're in a place of

Unknown:

uncertainty, or if you're in a place of absolute certainty, and

Unknown:

you want to share that I just want to make sure you know, I

Unknown:

would absolutely love that open dialogue. So please make sure

Unknown:

that when when you are listening to this podcast that you feel

Unknown:

like it is a conversation, which means I am so ready and willing

Unknown:

and open to have a conversation with you back. So if there's

Unknown:

something that ever I say, and you feel like it needs to be

Unknown:

challenged, that's okay, too. That's okay to look, here's me

Unknown:

saying that makes me a little nervous. That makes me a little

Unknown:

scared, but it's okay. I do open it because I think when we have

Unknown:

those hard conversations, we grow, and we can do it together.

Unknown:

So it doesn't feel so lonely. You know, I'm solo here, I'm

Unknown:

sharing these things with you solo, other than when I have my

Unknown:

guests on. And so I am so open to what your thoughts and

Unknown:

feelings are. If I've said something that maybe you feel

Unknown:

like needs correcting challenging, obviously, I would

Unknown:

love for you to do that in a super respectful way. Love you,

Unknown:

thank you. But I also really want you to be real. So if

Unknown:

there's something that you're hearing, especially like to you

Unknown:

know, let's be honest about how I'm about to share some verses,

Unknown:

and they can land one way on me. And they can be interpreted by

Unknown:

other people in other ways. And there, I did not go to seminary,

Unknown:

there are lots of people who have done so much more research

Unknown:

and work on knowing the origin and the full context of a lot of

Unknown:

these verses. And so if ever you hear me share a verse and you

Unknown:

think, yeah, I think you're on the right track. And I could see

Unknown:

how you could see it that way. But also, in my experience, this

Unknown:

is something that's come up for me, this is a different part of

Unknown:

the verse, I'll tell you that actually, my best friend

Unknown:

Tiffany, she and I have now been friends for like 30 years. Oh my

Unknown:

goodness. She and I have talked about that verse that talks

Unknown:

about the desires of your heart. And I you know what, I'll drop

Unknown:

that episode in the show notes that I did on the moms

Unknown:

organization motivation podcast, it was really cool, because I

Unknown:

actually had her talk to me afterwards, about that, and how

Unknown:

she felt like that went. And it was really cool, because she and

Unknown:

I got to talk about that verse a little bit more. And she had

Unknown:

done a Bible study where they specifically talked about the

Unknown:

desires of your heart, and how that could be interpreted. And

Unknown:

she shared with me, just this really cool perspective of like,

Unknown:

we might be thinking, Oh, I, you know, want to do this, because

Unknown:

of the desires of my heart. But truly when we are desiring to be

Unknown:

closer to God and share in a more connected and intimate

Unknown:

relationship with Him, that we will start to desire, the things

Unknown:

that He desires for us. And I loved that perspective. So that

Unknown:

was really cool. So that was great. It was like my respectful

Unknown:

friend who reached out to me and was like, loved that episode.

Unknown:

And also wanted to tell you that I did this Bible study, and we,

Unknown:

you know, dove a little deeper. And this was a cool perspective.

Unknown:

So, Tiff, thanks, girlfriend, love you. That was really

Unknown:

helpful for me. And now I feel like I have a deeper

Unknown:

understanding appreciation and perspective, when I see that

Unknown:

verse come up. So I just want to make sure that was super clear.

Unknown:

So again, we're talking about failure, and we're talking about

Unknown:

how to feel like we can push past it because that can be a

Unknown:

really big, scary thing, when fear of failure comes in to

Unknown:

play. So first, I'm going to share with you Psalm 46, five.

Unknown:

And you know, what's interesting is when I started looking into

Unknown:

this verse, first of all, I heard that people have it

Unknown:

tattooed on them, which I suppose there's lots of verses

Unknown:

that can be tattooed on them. But one woman in particular

Unknown:

shared with me that she has it on her foot. And there was

Unknown:

something about that, that I was like, Ooh, that's so grounding.

Unknown:

That's such a firm foundation. I'm such a literal person

Unknown:

sometimes do and so I was thinking about that. So imagine

Unknown:

this universe being on someone's plate it, but what I did find is

Unknown:

that it's shared in a few different ways. Okay, so Psalm

Unknown:

46 Five says, God is within her, she will not fall, there's

Unknown:

another version of it, that is God is within her, she will not

Unknown:

fail. So if you're feeling that struggle has to do with, I'm

Unknown:

afraid, because I'm afraid if I put myself out there, and I fail

Unknown:

at it, it's gonna feel dot dot dot insert whatever you feel

Unknown:

like your feelings are. I know, I get scared of failure. Oh, my

Unknown:

goodness, I'm afraid that certain things that I try could

Unknown:

be a total bust. And here's what I want to say. Just like our

Unknown:

Heavenly Father gives us those promises, that we're not alone.

Unknown:

And that with him, we're not going to fall. He's not going to

Unknown:

let us fall. But I will say there's a big part of failure.

Unknown:

That is actually a good thing that we can use to learn. And I

Unknown:

want to share with you this really sweet, precious moment

Unknown:

that my awesome Rockstar dad said to me, shared with me when

Unknown:

I got ready to go off to now suddenly, I'm trying to remember

Unknown:

was it No, at first I thought it was high school and I was

Unknown:

getting ready to go off to college. But no, I think that

Unknown:

this was when I was graduating college. And it was getting

Unknown:

ready to go off into the big scary world, the big, wild, wild

Unknown:

west the bit and really West because I was going to

Unknown:

California and I was in Tennessee. So truly the wild

Unknown:

wild west. But the big scary, unknown guest when he said, just

Unknown:

like our Heavenly Father promises that He is going to be

Unknown:

there for us. My earthly father said to me, Paige, you are going

Unknown:

to do great big things. And I don't want you to be afraid to

Unknown:

fail. He said, I am here to catch you. I am here to give you

Unknown:

that support. When you mess up, because you will you will mess

Unknown:

up. But that's not a bad thing. So do not be afraid to go out

Unknown:

there. Chase your dreams. Go big, go big or go home is not

Unknown:

necessarily what I think my dad said. Because he didn't want me

Unknown:

to come back home not because he doesn't love me. But he wants me

Unknown:

to come home and visit is he me to come home and live with them.

Unknown:

He needs me to go big and stay out of home. No, no, he needs me

Unknown:

to go big. And stay out there knowing that he's my safety net.

Unknown:

And I so appreciated that because I can tell you right now

Unknown:

that having that backup that support that plan, in case I

Unknown:

totally ruin this or really jack it up. Dad's going to be there.

Unknown:

I know mom's going to be there, I know my family is going to be

Unknown:

there to support me. If you don't have a family like that.

Unknown:

If you don't have an earthly father like that, that's going

Unknown:

to be like, you go out and you try these big hard things.

Unknown:

Because if you mess up, you're going to learn from it. And I'm

Unknown:

still going to be here to love you and support you, then I will

Unknown:

tell you right now, first of all, my dad's heart is big

Unknown:

enough to love you too. So

Unknown:

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that he'll be cheering you on

Unknown:

too. But I'm here to support you as well, because I know how

Unknown:

scary that can be to step out into the unknown to go out and

Unknown:

do something that your other family members aren't going to

Unknown:

be right there with you and your friends, your besties are going

Unknown:

to hang back in Tennessee, and they're not going to be right

Unknown:

there with you or not everybody said in Tennessee some went on

Unknown:

to do other things as well. But they nobody came with me to

Unknown:

California. Okay, like I came out here so low. I had a dear

Unknown:

friend who was in the theatre department with me at the

Unknown:

University of Tennessee in Knoxville. So we ended up

Unknown:

meeting up later out here, but I came out here solo, and I did it

Unknown:

scared. I Gosh. Now I haven't even thought about the dollar

Unknown:

amount. But I'm thinking about I sold my car when I was in

Unknown:

college and I put some money in a bank account and I let that

Unknown:

grow. And then when I moved out here, I took that money. And I

Unknown:

came out and I bought a car I literally got on a plane. I

Unknown:

think I had three suitcases. And then I moved out here without a

Unknown:

car without a home. And I just trusted that God was going to

Unknown:

make away but if I'm not mistaken, I came out here with

Unknown:

$1,500 That's all I had. And if you don't know how expensive

Unknown:

rent is in California, let me just tell you, holy, holy,

Unknown:

everything holy. All the words that I'm not going to say

Unknown:

because this is a clean podcast. I mean, I was like for one

Unknown:

month, so you better believe girlfriend got multiple jobs

Unknown:

when she moved out here. I was working on a movie and Do that

Unknown:

getting my sag card because as I said, I was a theater major. And

Unknown:

so I did all this work with theater but not with movies, I

Unknown:

had one experience with a an indie movie. And so I came out

Unknown:

here with my little headshot with my theater headshot, too.

Unknown:

So that's kind of ridiculous, with movies, ended up getting

Unknown:

three days after moving out here walking onto a set, that I ended

Unknown:

up getting a bigger part than I thought I was going to walk on

Unknown:

us an extra and getting a bigger part got a speaking role became

Unknown:

a SAG member that Screen Actors Guild, for years got to like, do

Unknown:

I got to vote, they would send me on CDs, they would send me

Unknown:

all the newest videos that were coming out. It was so fun,

Unknown:

because I would get my friends together or so my family members

Unknown:

together to watch those movies that were contenders for, you

Unknown:

know, Oscars and SAG Awards, and all that kind of stuff. And so

Unknown:

we get to vote on that. So cool. Do you think for one second, I

Unknown:

would have tried that. If I was so fearful and I didn't feel

Unknown:

like I had a firm foundation waiting for me at home that was

Unknown:

like, You go big. You think about your wildest dreams and

Unknown:

then move toward them. And it is okay if you fail. And it is okay

Unknown:

if you're fearful because I've got you. And that's what our

Unknown:

Heavenly Father says. He says, I've got you. Okay, he says, I

Unknown:

am with you. You will not fall. There's another version that

Unknown:

says God is within her, she shall not be moved. Hey, quick

Unknown:

reminder, you can now get my book in four different ways.

Unknown:

Head over to Amazon and search up I've got a girlfriend, the

Unknown:

subtitle is why getting organized and living this mom

Unknown:

life is not a solo mission. You can find it there on ereader.

Unknown:

That's through the Kindle app, paperback, hardcover, and the

Unknown:

audiobook. So if you're enjoying this podcast, I have a feeling

Unknown:

you may love the audio book. Again. It's called I've got you

Unknown:

girlfriend, why getting organized and living this mom

Unknown:

life is not a solo mission. Thanks so much for making it a

Unknown:

best seller and back to the show. So whatever version you're

Unknown:

hearing, you shall not fail, you shall not be moved, you shall

Unknown:

not fall, whatever version you're whatever is landing on

Unknown:

you, I want you to clean to that. And I want you to remember

Unknown:

that fear is a liar. It is meant to scare us and keep us stuck.

Unknown:

And it might be masked as protection or being safe. So you

Unknown:

don't step out into oncoming traffic, that could hurt you.

Unknown:

But there's a way to feel the fear and responsibly take the

Unknown:

next step to get to the other side. Because what's on the

Unknown:

other side might be what you were meant for. And also, it

Unknown:

might be the journey of crossing that busy street, we were really

Unknown:

taking this metaphor all the way really feeling all the bumps and

Unknown:

the hard stuff and the jump out of the way of a fast moving car,

Unknown:

feelings all the way across it, it can be the journey that is

Unknown:

actually what you're meant to accomplish, because it's in the

Unknown:

journey that we learn. And it's in the journey that we help

Unknown:

other people. Because if there were no roadblocks, if there was

Unknown:

nothing standing in our way at all, and it was super easy. I'm

Unknown:

here to tell you your dreams aren't big enough. Okay, I want

Unknown:

to be a good mom. There are roadblocks every day. There are

Unknown:

many times where my patience is tested. I have to go to a place

Unknown:

in my head where I'm like Paige, you love your children. They are

Unknown:

wonderful. Oh, by the way, this can work in marriage too. This

Unknown:

can work with co workers too. This can work in friendships

Unknown:

too. This can work with family members too, where you have to

Unknown:

mentally go to a place and say Jesus take the wheel. Because if

Unknown:

it's left to me, I'm going to mess this up. And I want to

Unknown:

remind you that it's okay if you mess it up. Because even in the

Unknown:

failure, even in the stumbles even in the roadblocks, you can

Unknown:

find some really good lessons and they can help you and they

Unknown:

can help other people and that's what I'm here to say. If you're

Unknown:

working on those gifts if you're working on identifying what are

Unknown:

my gifts and how can I use them to serve others. Think about the

Unknown:

struggles that you've been through. Okay, I share a lot

Unknown:

about mom's struggles. I share a lot about feeling like I need to

Unknown:

support my family and offer some relief to my husband from doing

Unknown:

it all on his own whether financially whether just showing

Unknown:

up as a parent It's hard to do things so low, and I want to

Unknown:

contribute to my family in that way. I also want to see my

Unknown:

business blow up. I want to be able to serve as many people as

Unknown:

I possibly can. Because I believe that that is part of my

Unknown:

mission, not in a vain, yucky way where I feel like I'm here

Unknown:

to save you. Oh, no, that's weird. No, it is. This is how I

Unknown:

have stumbled and struggle. Even in building a business. I didn't

Unknown:

know how to do a lot of the things that I'm doing now. I

Unknown:

asked for help. I felt the fear, I did it anyway, I took comfort

Unknown:

in knowing that my dad, my mom, my family supported me, I took

Unknown:

comfort in that. And I felt encouraged by that. And I want

Unknown:

to remind you again, that if you do not feel that, please reach

Unknown:

out to me because I want to encourage you today I want you

Unknown:

to know you are not alone, you are supported. And I will be

Unknown:

your safety net. Okay. So if that is scary, because you don't

Unknown:

feel like you have a safety net, I would love to be part of your

Unknown:

safety net. And I just know I'm gonna come with Jesus, okay,

Unknown:

we're gonna come in this together, because I don't do

Unknown:

anything alone. So you're gonna get that extra support as well

Unknown:

just know. Okay. All right, let's talk about another verse.

Unknown:

So as we're talking about fear of failure and fear, just in

Unknown:

anything in life, how do we push past it whether you're worried

Unknown:

that you're failing as a mom been there? So been there? Still

Unknown:

sometimes there? Ah, that's a lot, right? Also fear as a

Unknown:

business owner, fear as the author who's trying to figure

Unknown:

out how to write her words down to serve other people fear as a

Unknown:

podcaster, who's trying to figure out how to say things in

Unknown:

a concise way. Oh, me and concise. That's not always a

Unknown:

thing. What about me as a person who likes to go on stage, and

Unknown:

share my message in that way, I get really fearful when I step

Unknown:

onto the stage, right? When the like, the dry mouth sets in, and

Unknown:

I get really nervous. And then suddenly, it feels like wait a

Unknown:

sec, I'm meant to be here. And this message is something I'm

Unknown:

supposed to share. I need to withdraw the fear. And just

Unknown:

trust that there's a message here is that what's going on for

Unknown:

you at home, in your business, in your marriage in your life?

Unknown:

Where does that land on you? Okay, more verses? Because this

Unknown:

just helps me. How about Isaiah 4110? Fear not. I mean, we could

Unknown:

just stop there. Fear not. Okay. Bible says it, don't do it.

Unknown:

Don't fear. That's hard, right?

Unknown:

So how do we push through it? It says Fear not, for I am with

Unknown:

you. So that's the part of not feeling alone. That's how we do

Unknown:

it. We get in a supportive group, we get around people who

Unknown:

are going to bring us encouragement, when we fail,

Unknown:

because we're going to fail, or we're gonna learn lessons. We're

Unknown:

going to be surrounded by friends who are there to uplift

Unknown:

us not to hurt us. We're going to trust in God, because here's

Unknown:

what else he says, Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed

Unknown:

for I am your God, I will strengthen you. I love that

Unknown:

part. Because I want to be strong. And I'm not always

Unknown:

strong. But I want to show up like I am. And he says, I will

Unknown:

strengthen you. So you better believe that's where I get a lot

Unknown:

of my strength. He says, I will help you, I will uphold you with

Unknown:

my righteous right hand. This is your right hand, man. He is

Unknown:

there to support you. So I love that one. That one's so good. So

Unknown:

just know you're not alone. That's a way that we push past

Unknown:

it right. And then also, I love this too. Psalm 27. One, The

Unknown:

Lord is my light, and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

Unknown:

Okay, so look, if you've got him on your side, who's going to

Unknown:

come in and mess with that? They can try. They can try. But he's

Unknown:

on your side. So don't be scared. Don't let the fear stop

Unknown:

you from your purpose. You can absolutely push past that.

Unknown:

There's another part of that verse in Psalm that says,

Unknown:

though, a host in camp against me, my heart will not fear. So

Unknown:

you could not just have one person coming for you. You could

Unknown:

have a host people, a whole bunch of people, there could be

Unknown:

a whole organization that is coming for you. And by the way,

Unknown:

they could be coming for you or one person could be coming for

Unknown:

you because you're wrong. And you need to be challenged. So

Unknown:

make sure you're hearing that and then pray for discernment.

Unknown:

Right? Because sometimes we do need to be challenged because

Unknown:

our thinking is off. That's why I welcome you You reach out to

Unknown:

me, like we can have conversations about stuff if you

Unknown:

think I say something, and it's not in line with what you think

Unknown:

I want to hear what you think I can grow from that, I can do

Unknown:

better from that. So maybe people are are coming at you to

Unknown:

feel like that people are just like coming out and I'm trying

Unknown:

to make a difference. People are coming at me, they could

Unknown:

actually be doing that in a way that could serve you. And it

Unknown:

could make you stop and think and really decide if what you're

Unknown:

doing is, right. I talked about on the last episode, having that

Unknown:

friend group that's going to check you in case you are in the

Unknown:

wrong and that's okay. Right? There's, there's some failure

Unknown:

there, that's okay, we're gonna own it, we're gonna be like,

Unknown:

whoo, I messed that up. And then you're gonna move forward. I

Unknown:

also talked about on the last episode, how there are different

Unknown:

levels of fear, okay, we could be afraid when we're packing our

Unknown:

kids lunch for school, that they're not going to eat it that

Unknown:

day, or they're not going to like it. That's like, low level

Unknown:

fear. Okay, you might be like, hey, out here, I'm just putting

Unknown:

something in there. And I'm just like, whatever, eat it, don't

Unknown:

eat it. I don't care, I gotta go to work. You know, you can be

Unknown:

there. But some parents really are like, Ah, I really hope they

Unknown:

like it. I want them to have that nutritional value, blah,

Unknown:

blah, blah, healthy, healthy, blah, blah, blah. So I know when

Unknown:

I'm packing their lunch, I'm really trying to be aware of not

Unknown:

only what they like, but also getting that good stuff in their

Unknown:

bodies. And also wondering, are they going to stop long enough

Unknown:

and stop talking to their friends long enough and hold off

Unknown:

on recess long enough to scarf this down, I need to make sure

Unknown:

I'm putting it in easy to eat bite sized pieces so that they

Unknown:

can scarf it down. So they can get on with their best second

Unknown:

grade and sixth grade lives, right? So there's that low level

Unknown:

of fear. And then there's the big fear when you have like mega

Unknown:

big scary things. So I talked about on the last episode, that

Unknown:

I have friends who are doing really difficult things they are

Unknown:

on actual missions in other countries to help serve and

Unknown:

spread the word of God and to support these people who don't

Unknown:

have clean drinking water. And who are you guys they are there

Unknown:

the I'm stumbling, because the thought of this is terrifying.

Unknown:

There are people who are being beheaded, if they find out that

Unknown:

they believe in God, that they're practicing their faith.

Unknown:

Can you imagine who wants to That is terrifying. And I have

Unknown:

friends who are there on a daily basis, serving those people

Unknown:

bringing water and food and love and comfort to those people that

Unknown:

talk about fear. Talk about a fear of failure of their

Unknown:

mission, talk about fear for their lives, for their spouse,

Unknown:

for those people that they are quickly falling in love with

Unknown:

because they know these are God's people that are there to

Unknown:

serve. I mean, they will send us photos to let us see like so we

Unknown:

can celebrate when prayers are answered, and they send these

Unknown:

amazing photos. And then there are other photos they send. And

Unknown:

they're like, you cannot share these because these people's

Unknown:

lives will be at stake do not post these. But you spread the

Unknown:

word that these things are happening so that we can figure

Unknown:

out a way to support them, because they don't deserve that.

Unknown:

So all my word talk about fear school shootings, really bad

Unknown:

things that are happening to people to harm them. This is big

Unknown:

fear. So I want you to know that no matter where fear is in your

Unknown:

life, right now, you are not alone, there is a safety net,

Unknown:

there is loving, friendly support and encouragement. And

Unknown:

you are meant to do great big things. Wherever you are,

Unknown:

however you want to use those gifts, you are meant to do that.

Unknown:

And fear does not need to be something that keeps you stuck.

Unknown:

All right. So I also want to say that if you are feeling like you

Unknown:

need some backup, because you are stuck again, please reach

Unknown:

out everything. style.com go to the contact page, you can pop in

Unknown:

some information there, tell me what's going on, tell me how I

Unknown:

can serve you. I will also let you know how I can support you,

Unknown:

I have different types of ways that we can work together. If

Unknown:

you need it to be a one and done. We get some things worked

Unknown:

out for your business or your life. And we figure out three

Unknown:

simple steps to narrow that down and give you just that initial

Unknown:

jumping off point. Let's do it. If it needs to be a free

Unknown:

consultation where we just chat. And then you're like, Okay, I

Unknown:

got this. And then I send you out and often pray for you and

Unknown:

be so excited for you because you're doing great big things

Unknown:

amazing. Or whether it's working together in a bigger, longer

Unknown:

program so that I can support you every step of the way.

Unknown:

Because some of these things that you're about to step into

Unknown:

that are really big and scary and you might be fearful of,

Unknown:

they're going to take some time. So if you need a friend who's

Unknown:

going to be there for the long run, and you'll be able to

Unknown:

bounce ideas off of as we go each month. There's also that

Unknown:

way that I can support you as well. So I just want to make

Unknown:

sure that you know, as we're talking about fear, which is a

Unknown:

big scary thing, you're not alone, and I would love to be

Unknown:

here to help you. So, I am so grateful that you've stayed with

Unknown:

me through this whole episode. I love and appreciate you, I am

Unknown:

getting so much back from you just being here and listening.

Unknown:

And this helps me to process my thoughts and feelings. And I

Unknown:

honestly feel like because you are showing up and and helping

Unknown:

me just not be alone in this, that it is actually deepening my

Unknown:

faith and my mission. And so I am really grateful for you as

Unknown:

well. So I'm feeling the love back and I really appreciate

Unknown:

that. All right. Are you ready? Are you ready? As ready as I am

Unknown:

for the guest episodes to start coming up. I am so excited. On

Unknown:

the next episode, we are going to hear from Meghan Dolman,

Unknown:

someone who was originally slated to be a guest on the moms

Unknown:

organization motivation podcast, and I realized I needed to pivot

Unknown:

and I shared with her. Hey, um, I know that you're on this zoom

Unknown:

right now, because we are supposed to record for the moms

Unknown:

organization motivation podcast, but I am planning to launch a

Unknown:

brand new podcast April 17. And it is going to be all about

Unknown:

pivoting in our lives and in our business and using our God given

Unknown:

gifts to serve other people and pursuing our passions and having

Unknown:

that purpose be lived out. And I am curious if you might be

Unknown:

willing to speak to that today. And she was so on board. I mean,

Unknown:

absolutely. I believe God just dropped her right in my life at

Unknown:

that moment as I needed her. And it was a pretty cool

Unknown:

conversation. So I would love for you to hear that next week.

Unknown:

So every Monday from now on the time to pivot podcast will be a

Unknown:

new episode, make sure that you are heading over to Apple

Unknown:

podcast if you're loving it and Pretty pretty please write a

Unknown:

review. It only takes a second and it absolutely catapults the

Unknown:

podcast up people see that they see that proof that they've

Unknown:

listened and they're liking it, and this is worth their time to

Unknown:

listen. So gosh, that would just be an absolute dream.

Unknown:

I appreciate that so much. Because don't forget, I'm

Unknown:

fearful too. Is this gonna land? Is this message gonna land are

Unknown:

people gonna like it? Are people gonna like me? You know, I, you

Unknown:

know, it's all there. It's all there. So seeing a review on

Unknown:

Apple podcasts, that would make me feel like it's landing that

Unknown:

would make me feel like I'm on the right track. So that would

Unknown:

be incredibly helpful. You gotta check out the upcoming podcast

Unknown:

guests. I am so excited for the wisdom, the brilliance, the

Unknown:

sincere advice that they have when it comes to times in their

Unknown:

lives where they've had to pivot, and they're ready to

Unknown:

share that with us. So I know I will be taking mega notes. Don't

Unknown:

forget, you can go to the show notes. And you can find any

Unknown:

links that I mentioned today. Hopefully those will be helpful

Unknown:

for you. And reach out to me if you need a friend, and we can

Unknown:

start working together. I love that so much. All right. Thanks

Unknown:

so much. I hope you have a great day. Thanks for listening to

Unknown:

Unknown:
