So what's going on, everybody?
Speaker BWhat's up?
Speaker CGood afternoon.
Speaker BWow.
Speaker AThat was a fake.
Speaker AThat was so fake.
Speaker BWow, that was great.
Speaker CWas it?
Speaker AWhat's up, everybody?
Speaker BFirst off, that's not how I did it.
Speaker BYou sound like a cartoon character just jumped out from behind a curtain.
Speaker CWhat's up, guys?
Speaker DRoger Rabbit showed up.
Speaker BOh, man.
Speaker ASo I'm Derek.
Speaker BI'm Matt.
Speaker CEw.
Speaker CI'm Matt.
Speaker BI'm Matt.
Speaker CI'm Matt.
Speaker CAnd this is Dateline.
Speaker AThat's Carlene.
Speaker DI'm Kevin.
Speaker AAnd That's Kevin the KK's.
Speaker COh.
Speaker BWhoa.
Speaker AThere's only two.
Speaker AThere's only two.
Speaker AWe're good.
Speaker DWe're good.
Speaker AThere's only two.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AI feel like this is gonna devolve into, like, a rabbit hole here.
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AWhich we got to record another one, by the way.
Speaker DWe do.
Speaker AThat needs to happen soon, so.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker DSo what's on today's agenda?
Speaker AWell, apparently, we're talking about divination.
Speaker BDivination.
Speaker BDivination.
Speaker BDivination.
Speaker CDiv.
Speaker DThe act of seeking out knowledge about the future from outside sources.
Speaker BTrying to seek out the future and.
Speaker BOr hidden knowledge that God has not yet revealed to the world.
Speaker BThose are the things that divination pretty much counters or covers.
Speaker BI am so excited about this.
Speaker AOr just simply connecting with supernatural beings is technically a part of divination.
Speaker CIt was a suggestion.
Speaker BBunch of fortune tellers.
Speaker DWe like it.
Speaker CIt was a suggestion.
Speaker CLike, okay, what can we talk about?
Speaker BWe're talking about it.
Speaker BWe're talking about it.
Speaker BIt's gonna be good.
Speaker AWe be talking now.
Speaker BWe're talking.
Speaker BWe're live right now.
Speaker AWell, we're not live.
Speaker BWe're live.
Speaker AWe were recording.
Speaker BFor anyone listening to this, we're live right now.
Speaker AWe are live at the time of recording.
Speaker BWe were alive at this point.
Speaker BAnything could happen between now and then.
Speaker AAnything.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo anyway, how's everybody doing?
Speaker BYou just drove eight hours.
Speaker AI just drove eight hours.
Speaker AGot up super early so I could be here with you guys.
Speaker AYou guys, so awesome.
Speaker AAnd I appreciate you guys showing up, because I wasn't sure I was gonna be here.
Speaker BThe dedication, not only to show but to our listeners is just outstanding.
Speaker BYou guys need to just have no idea how hard this man works.
Speaker CShower him.
Speaker AHey, you know what?
Speaker AI'm gonna let it happen today.
Speaker BLots of love.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CLots of love.
Speaker DYou've had such a day.
Speaker DYou've already got your hat off.
Speaker AYeah, it's true.
Speaker BDidn't even have a hat on today.
Speaker DYeah, it's right over there.
Speaker AI mean.
Speaker BPut the hat down.
Speaker AI put that.
Speaker AI put it down.
Speaker BI'm the only mad hatter today, okay?
Speaker AThe angry hatter.
Speaker COh, my God.
Speaker AWe're all mad here.
Speaker CI hear him growling.
Speaker BWho's growling?
Speaker CHuh?
Speaker ASorry, that's my bad breathing habits.
Speaker ALuke, your father.
Speaker AHe doesn't say that.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BHe doesn't.
Speaker COkay.
Speaker CAll right, well, he's your dad.
Speaker AI mean, he just says, I am your father.
Speaker BWell, first he says no, then he says, I am your father.
Speaker BAnd actually he emphasizes the.
Speaker DI always liked Leia better than you.
Speaker CShe was prettier.
Speaker CNo, I don't want to.
Speaker AThat's getting weird.
Speaker BIt is getting weird.
Speaker BSorry.
Speaker AWhy not?
Speaker ASorry.
Speaker AIt's like.
Speaker BAll right, so this is.
Speaker AIt's almost as good as Star Trek.
Speaker DYou don't have to pray it in.
Speaker BWhere does this just.
Speaker BThis is.
Speaker BThis is going to be an awesome.
Speaker ASo divination.
Speaker AIt's a thing.
Speaker CIt is.
Speaker AIs it?
Speaker AOkay, we'll see today.
Speaker AWelcome to the Truth Respons.
Speaker AAll right.
Speaker AYou can pray.
Speaker AMatt.
Speaker AIt's okay.
Speaker BWhat?
Speaker AYou can pray?
Speaker CYep.
Speaker BWho's praying?
Speaker AYou?
Speaker BI'm praying.
Speaker AWhy not?
Speaker AI think I prayed last week.
Speaker CYou did?
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BTook off my head.
Speaker BAll right.
Speaker BLord, thank you for today.
Speaker BThank you for this podcast.
Speaker BThank you for the safe return of Derek after his eight hour drive home and that he got here on time.
Speaker BThank you for Kevin and Carlene and their hearts for joining us.
Speaker BAnd for today's topic, may you bless it in our conversation and lead us to the truth and how to respond to it.
Speaker BIn Jesus name, amen.
Speaker DAmen.
Speaker AShould we start by setting up why we're talking about divination?
Speaker AIt's all Carlene's fault again.
Speaker AThat's two in a row.
Speaker CHey.
Speaker AStrikes you out, y'all.
Speaker BActually, she did.
Speaker BIt was hers.
Speaker BBecause she was like, what about divination?
Speaker CYes, it was mine, but I was just throwing it out.
Speaker BLike.
Speaker DIf you'd thrown that question to me, I wouldn't have come up with that answer.
Speaker AMe, too.
Speaker AI could not have divined it.
Speaker CI'd just be trying to find different ways to talk about.
Speaker DI like it.
Speaker BIt's getting.
Speaker BIt's getting crazy.
Speaker DDoes it have special meaning in your world?
Speaker CNo.
Speaker AWell, kind of.
Speaker AI mean, you guys are talking about it, so.
Speaker COh, yeah, we were talking about it, but also where I come from, which is Trinidad, I was like, where are we going?
Speaker ABrooklyn.
Speaker ALike, where are you from?
Speaker ALike, up north somewhere.
Speaker DHolyoke.
Speaker CI'm not Holyoke.
Speaker CEw.
Speaker CThat's western Massachusetts.
Speaker BWhat?
Speaker AI am eastern Massachusetts.
Speaker AOh, Massachusetts.
Speaker AMy bad.
Speaker AI don't know the difference.
Speaker AIt's all.
Speaker AIt's all the northeast coast to me.
Speaker ASo like.
Speaker CSo I was born in Trinidad and I was raised in Boston.
Speaker COkay, just so we clarify, Boston.
Speaker CShe parked the car in Harvard Yard.
Speaker CSo apparently, from what I hear, you know how the old heads talk.
Speaker CMy grandmother used to pull spirits out of people.
Speaker CHow much of that do I know?
Speaker CI don't know.
Speaker CSo, you know, it was something that I wanted to look into.
Speaker CLike, can people really have that curse gift?
Speaker CI don't.
Speaker CI don't know how to look at it.
Speaker CSo that's why when I read last night, it came back up into my head.
Speaker AAnd what'd you read last night?
Speaker CSo really bad girls in a Bible was talking about the medium that Saul went to go see and that in what?
Speaker AFirst Samuel.
Speaker AFirst Samuel.
Speaker ASecond Samuel.
Speaker CFirst.
Speaker CFirst Samuel.
Speaker BThanks.
Speaker ASo I love this story, by the way.
Speaker AI even.
Speaker AI've even started writing a song about this story.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker CBut is that.
Speaker DBetter not be the one he was singing?
Speaker BNo, I was not.
Speaker BI was just turning the song into.
Speaker COh, you was freestyling.
Speaker ANo, no.
Speaker CYou was freestyling.
Speaker BI was redoing cops into a.
Speaker DBad girls.
Speaker BInto bad girls and that Yahweh's.
Speaker DAnd then he decided he was going to write a song about it.
Speaker DSo it's just.
Speaker BYeah, it's just weird.
Speaker BWe just got a weird song about it.
Speaker CLike to hear.
Speaker CHear it go.
Speaker CWhere's that from?
Speaker BI.
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BI stopped paying attention.
Speaker BSo anyway, my mind moved on to something else.
Speaker CI see.
Speaker ASo anyway, so Saul, right?
Speaker CCorrect.
Speaker CBut I mean, it wasn't in a.
Speaker BSense, went to go see somebody who could apparently saw.
Speaker ASaw a seer.
Speaker BSaw.
Speaker BSaw a seer.
Speaker BHopefully they'd be able to see into his future.
Speaker DSeesaw?
Speaker AKind of.
Speaker ANo, kind of not.
Speaker AWell, kind of.
Speaker CKind of like an oracle.
Speaker ASo Saul was king of Israel, right?
Speaker AOfficially the first king of Israel.
Speaker ASecond king, technically.
Speaker AI mean, because God wanted that position and the people were like, we don't want you to be our king.
Speaker AWhich you'd think he would have just went.
Speaker ABut he was kind and merciful.
Speaker BSo merciful and kind.
Speaker ASo Saul was king.
Speaker ASamuel was a prophet.
Speaker ANo, he was high priest, wasn't he?
Speaker BWhat now?
Speaker ASamuel?
Speaker BProphet.
Speaker AProphet.
Speaker AWas he a prophet?
Speaker BProphet.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BHe was considered a prophet.
Speaker AHe passed away.
Speaker AAnd so Saul was having an issue.
Speaker AThat's where we pick up the story.
Speaker AI just want to like, clarify.
Speaker ASo everybody that may not know the story, like that was kind of like a Quick rundown.
Speaker BWhat you said Samuel passed away.
Speaker AHe did.
Speaker BI felt like it was a mess.
Speaker ANo, Samuel's dead at this point.
Speaker APromise me.
Speaker BI'm messing up my timelines in my head.
Speaker AI guess because Saul went to this medium.
Speaker BYou know what?
Speaker BOkay, so let's get on with it.
Speaker ASaul went to the medium and he.
Speaker BBroke, he broke it.
Speaker BHe broke what he's supposed to be doing.
Speaker BHe was supposed to be doing that stuff.
Speaker AHe was, he was asked to summon Samuel spirit so he could consult with him.
Speaker AThat's the whole point of it.
Speaker ALike that's, that's what he was doing.
Speaker DSo let me toss this out there.
Speaker DAssume that I have very limited knowledge on this subject matter because I didn't go to Bible college.
Speaker CNo.
Speaker DAnd the only understanding I have would be from Scripture and telling you you shouldn't do it.
Speaker DSo that to me is enough.
Speaker DBut I'm very interested because I have opinions and I think like a lot of people with our faith, there are things we have opinions about that we don't have foundation for.
Speaker BWell, I mean, so there's multiple forms.
Speaker BYou know, there's people that think they can read fire and there's people that can, that'll tell them the future and the things they need to know.
Speaker BAnd someone will read water and that will tell them the future and the things they need to know or whatever it is.
Speaker BThe funny thing about this is that you see this throughout the Old Testament where people go and they start to play with these kinds of things.
Speaker BAnd then you have this wonderful book, it's called the book of Daniel.
Speaker BAnd there's this king Nebuchadnezzar who decides that when he has this bad dream he's going to call all of these crazies into his throne room.
Speaker BCan you guys do this?
Speaker BAnd not a single one can.
Speaker BBut you know who can?
Speaker BGod can.
Speaker BSo if you were looking for a showdown to see what's true and what's not, Book of Daniel puts it on display.
Speaker BThat being said, what are people really doing?
Speaker BBecause there's arguments, there are arguments that this divination stuff of all its different forms and functions, that there's some reality to it that these things are really happening, that people can really predict things and understand things.
Speaker BThey're not supposed to understand everything, connect with the spirit.
Speaker BBut is it demon or divine?
Speaker BSee where are they getting their information from the truth or the trickster things of God tend to be backed up by God.
Speaker BAnd most of these prophets self proclaimed that say that they can speak these things and tell the future.
Speaker BMost of them fail the number one test that comes with it.
Speaker BAnd that is you got to have the proof in the pudding.
Speaker BYour prophecies have to come true, especially all of them.
Speaker BYou can get lucky on some of them, especially when you make very general prophecies.
Speaker BBut you have to actually have a winning record.
Speaker DSure.
Speaker DSo now you take that and you say, okay, there are people that do the divinations and you're describing it earlier.
Speaker DWhat Ouija boards and what other conjures.
Speaker BTarot cards, all this stuff.
Speaker ASo the palm readings.
Speaker COf course.
Speaker CIf I'm gonna come with something, I'm gonna make sure I look into it.
Speaker CSo there's three types of divination.
Speaker BThree, yes.
Speaker BOkay, go.
Speaker CThank you.
Speaker CInductive.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CIs one of them.
Speaker CInductive uses a procedure to find hidden meaning in everyday signs and situations.
Speaker CSo like astrology.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd then there's interpretive.
Speaker CIt uses a procedure and a gifted diviner to interpret the meaning of signs like weather changes, changes in bird movement, that type of stuff.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CSort of like they do with Pawtucket Pauxine or whatever his name is.
Speaker COh, if he sees his sexy film.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker CIf he sees his shadow, it's going to be.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd then there's intuitive.
Speaker AGreat movie.
Speaker CWhich uses what is.
Speaker COh, it was a good movie.
Speaker CIntuitive uses the psychic abilities and special gifts to communicate with spirits and supernatural beings.
Speaker CSo that's like someone entering into a trance to access spiritual guidance.
Speaker CSo those are the three main ones.
Speaker CAnd then they branch out into, of course, the Ouija board seances.
Speaker DAnd those are tools to do it.
Speaker CThose are the tools to achieve that.
Speaker CSo not all of them use.
Speaker CJust that some of them use different levels of.
Speaker BThere's so many different methods in order to do these things too.
Speaker BEspecially that third one.
Speaker BThat third one is the.
Speaker BTo me, one of the most dangerous when it comes to the fact that some of these people try to open up their minds through a meditation that goes beyond simple closing your eyes and thinking they'll go into substances.
Speaker BAnd certain.
Speaker CIt's a hypnotic state and sometimes.
Speaker AOr psychedelic.
Speaker CYou can influence psychedelic stuff.
Speaker BYou know, psychedelics.
Speaker DThat's what chants are about, right?
Speaker BWas it.
Speaker DIsn't that what a chant is about?
Speaker BA chant is.
Speaker AWell, that can help you achieve the trance like state.
Speaker AYeah, it can get your brain into that.
Speaker CI think a chant.
Speaker CAnd it depends on what level you're using it on because, you know, a lot of the monks chant to achieve enlightenment.
Speaker CSo I don't think if that was.
Speaker DTo drain the other monks out it could be.
Speaker BWell, I mean, when you think about.
Speaker BOkay, so meditation.
Speaker BWe'll be careful.
Speaker BMeditation in itself, in a pure form, in a Christian form.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BWhere if you're taken and you're closing your eyes and you're meditating on the word of God, where you're reading a scripture and then you're sitting there and you're thinking about it, you may be repeating it yourself and trying to understand that and really let it sink in.
Speaker BThere's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker BBut this is going outside of that.
Speaker BYou know what I mean?
Speaker BThis isn't focusing necessarily on God's scripture or anything like that.
Speaker BThis is focusing on many other things.
Speaker BAnd sometimes it gets into the witchcraft area.
Speaker DBecause by the definition, that's what it pulled up.
Speaker AWitchcraft.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSee, the thing is that I was thinking about this the other day when it comes to.
Speaker BI was watching some kind of show or movie and it had.
Speaker BThere was some secret words that were supposed to be said.
Speaker BOh, that's what it was.
Speaker BI was thinking about the movie.
Speaker BNo, I was thinking about the movie, of all things, the Mummy, you know, Brendan Fraser and all that.
Speaker BAnd how they had this book of the dead versus the book of the living.
Speaker BAnd how they were saying these phrases in this.
Speaker BAnd these phrases from this book were supposed to do all these things.
Speaker BNow, can I say that words don't have power?
Speaker BAbsolutely not.
Speaker BOur whole universe is spoken into existence.
Speaker BFrequencies change everything depending on what the frequencies are, the spoken word, especially when they come from our almighty God, incredible, powerful.
Speaker BBut that doesn't mean, though, that other words can't still have some kind of consequence or reaction.
Speaker BAnd so what is it, though, that if you're reaching outside of God, then what are you reaching towards?
Speaker BAnd that's the question.
Speaker BIf it's not from God, then obviously if you take him out of the equation, you're going into something that's not God.
Speaker BAnd the things that aren't God are evil.
Speaker BSo therefore, what are you really inviting into your life?
Speaker DRight.
Speaker BYou know, people open themselves up to some really crazy stuff, they don't even realize it.
Speaker BI mean, people do that anyway when it comes to.
Speaker BEven movies, media.
Speaker DWell, that's what my next question was about.
Speaker DOkay.
Speaker DBecause some of these movies, they're all about this stuff, and it can't have a null effect on you.
Speaker BYeah, well, I mean, I've heard of people having.
Speaker BIncluding my own wife, watched a movie.
Speaker BI can't remember which one it was.
Speaker BI want to say it was insidious, but I could be wrong.
Speaker BAnd she Watched it and then was like she felt just like there was evil in her house.
Speaker BLike she just opened up.
Speaker BShe should not have watched that.
Speaker BShe should not have had those kind of things.
Speaker BI can't remember if that's the movie or not, but I just remember she was telling me she's like, she had to.
Speaker BLike she was going through burning sage, trying to clear out any evil spirit.
Speaker BLike at the time she was trying to like, what can I do to cleanse myself of what just happened?
Speaker BAnd you know, lots of prayer and see.
Speaker BBut like, because she just felt like she, by just ingesting those kinds of things, she was opening herself up to something terrible.
Speaker BAnd for those who are chasing this stuff all the time, you know, there are people that think like tarot cards are just a fun thing to do at parties and games.
Speaker BNot realizing that, like you realize you're trying to go around God now.
Speaker BYou're trying to do this without God.
Speaker BIt's not like you're praying, hey, God, give me the answer.
Speaker BAnd you're trying to.
Speaker BI've seen people do that with the Bible.
Speaker BI'm not sure how much that does or does not work for people where they're like, ask God a question, then drop the rob on the floor and then look for the answer.
Speaker BI'm like, okay, that's.
Speaker BIt's an interesting way of going about it.
Speaker BNot sure exactly if that's how he.
Speaker AWants to do it.
Speaker AThere's a megachurch, a very famous, well known megachurch that supports a form of Christian tarot cards.
Speaker BI would be, I'm very skeptical of those things.
Speaker ABut yeah, no, I think that's crazy.
Speaker ABut, but why, but at the same time, what about the casting of lots?
Speaker ABecause the casting of lots was a thing.
Speaker DWhat about Christmas tree?
Speaker AWe can get into that a different day.
Speaker AI got a video for you.
Speaker BSo anyway, casting of lots is an interesting thing where it's more of a chance cube, but more than you know.
Speaker ABut, but it's still the same, right?
Speaker AIt's like letting God decide.
Speaker BIt's almost like rock paper scissors nowadays really.
Speaker ABut it's still what they used, right?
Speaker ALike they let God decide who was what and did.
Speaker ADid what.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AI mean, I'm just saying it's a form, right?
Speaker ASo is.
Speaker ASo is being able to prophesy, you know, that's God giving you a vision.
Speaker BWell, like casting of lots was something where it was, I mean, highly luck based.
Speaker BBut the idea is that if God wanted to influence them, he could.
Speaker ABut it still falls into the categories.
Speaker BIs What I'm saying, I'm not arguing against it.
Speaker BYou're not the first one to bring this up to me.
Speaker DSo where does this go with divination?
Speaker AI would hope not.
Speaker CI got lost after a while.
Speaker ASo bringing it back.
Speaker ABringing it back.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ABring it back to the story.
Speaker BThe story.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASaul goes to this medium to talk with Samuel because he's like stuck.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AHe doesn't know what to do.
Speaker AAnd so she calls forth, she does her thing and then freaks out because it actually.
Speaker ABecause the, the spirits that she's used to dealing with is not what shows up.
Speaker AIt's actually Samuel spirit to that appears and is like yo do what are you doing?
Speaker CRight.
Speaker AAnd he totally reprimands saw forever having even thought thought about that.
Speaker ASo yeah, it was a good.
Speaker CIt was an interesting one.
Speaker AIt's one of my favorite stories.
Speaker CYeah, it was a very interesting.
Speaker CAnd they, they kind of did it in modern times.
Speaker CSo the first part of the story in all the chapters is they do it in modern times.
Speaker CSo you can understand it a little bit better.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker CAnd then, and then it goes into the Bible verses and everything.
Speaker CSo it was good.
Speaker BNow it's funny because I've been challenged on this where it's like, well, what if you think God can't use these things?
Speaker BI think he absolutely can use them.
Speaker BThat's an example right there where God can use even the wrong approach for his.
Speaker BStill good meaning.
Speaker BCan people do things that are similar to these things and still be serving God at the same time?
Speaker BOkay, maybe, sure.
Speaker BMaybe we also have to be careful that there are things that God still does grant people because we know that the Holy Spirit is here.
Speaker BIt's a gift to us and it grants gifts of the Spirit.
Speaker BAnd God's power is still active on this earth.
Speaker BSome people are more in tune with that than others.
Speaker BOkay, I'm good with that too.
Speaker BBut usually it's the why.
Speaker BIf the heart is completely seeking God truly it's one thing.
Speaker BIf it's not, then it's a whole other thing.
Speaker BAnd if it's for seeking his will.
Speaker AOr your own, sure.
Speaker DWell, and the divination side of it also jumping into spirits which we don't understand.
Speaker DSo I can only imagine why would people go there to your question of why.
Speaker DBut it's always going to be self serving or I would say assuming, well.
Speaker BThere'S curiosity and want of need of information, such a.
Speaker BAnd then there's also self serving where using it for gain.
Speaker BSo for instance, you look at the story in Acts where There was a guy who was trying to.
Speaker BHe wanted to be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit so that he could make money.
Speaker BAnd Peter shut him down.
Speaker BLike, no, that's not what this is about.
Speaker BSo the heart is a big part of it, where your heart's at when you do things.
Speaker BIt's one of the things that, you know, when Nick and I were talking about his.
Speaker BAs he was preparing for his recent sermon on Daniel 1, chapter 1, and he was talking about, you know, the difference of.
Speaker BIt wasn't about the diet of vegetables and water that Daniel and his friends went into.
Speaker BAnd I was like, yeah, it's not about the what.
Speaker BIt's the why behind it.
Speaker BYou know, it's wasn't necessarily that.
Speaker BIt was the vegetables and water.
Speaker BIt was the why behind it.
Speaker BWhy he wanted the vegetables and water against the indoctrination and everything that came with the different lifestyle that they were trying to have forced upon them.
Speaker BOr you can even say it wasn't necessarily forced upon them, but that they were constantly being invited into to take part of and then make their normal.
Speaker BDoes that make sense?
Speaker DMm, it does.
Speaker DI was trying.
Speaker DThe thought of divination, to me has always been the Ouija boards, the playing with demonic possession.
Speaker DAnd spirits have to possess something to have any kind of power.
Speaker DAnd you're opening up your eyes or your heart or your soul to them.
Speaker DSo I can't imagine that the only.
Speaker DThe only references I've seen in the Bible, literally with possession are where they were being cast out.
Speaker DSo that's what I picture.
Speaker DYou're messing with when you're doing divination stuff.
Speaker DBut then you can.
Speaker DYou can take it down to the.
Speaker DOkay, what about the reading your fortune cookie?
Speaker DOkay.
Speaker DIs it in fun or is it because if you get one you like, don't you say, hey, that's a good one.
Speaker DHold on to it.
Speaker BOkay, but what's the heart behind it?
Speaker BIs it for amusement and entertainment?
Speaker BOr do you take it seriously and put it into practice as if that is going.
Speaker DI think we ingest a whole lot of real bad things under entertainment.
Speaker BInteresting.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker BI think it's fair.
Speaker BI mean, I've had.
Speaker BI've been at any restaurant where I get a fortune cookie and I look at it.
Speaker BUsually I don't try to hold on to them.
Speaker DNo.
Speaker BBut I've seen people that do that.
Speaker BThey keep it and, like, it's kind of cool.
Speaker BIt says something kind of neat or something, so they'll hold on to it.
Speaker DIt's like reading today's horoscope.
Speaker DOh, you'll come into money.
Speaker AYay.
Speaker DIt's, you know, I don't, I don't read them, so I don't know what they really say.
Speaker BBut that one always comes on a Friday.
Speaker DYou're investing.
Speaker DYeah, right.
Speaker DEvery other Friday.
Speaker DYeah, but you're investing in, like you said, other than God.
Speaker DSo I look at it and go, okay.
Speaker DBut it's more than that because we think things are playful that can kill us, you know, they can kill our soul.
Speaker DAnd we look at it as entertainment value.
Speaker DAnd I, I know that is part of the curse.
Speaker BWell, it goes back to the question that I've been asked before.
Speaker BDon't you think God can even use all these things?
Speaker BI'm sure he could.
Speaker BGod can use it, but he's already set us up enough.
Speaker BLord, we don't need these things.
Speaker BWhy are we still looking for more ways?
Speaker BHe's given us the Bible.
Speaker BHe's given us the Holy Spirit.
Speaker DThat's another Bible.
Speaker BHe's given us the Church.
Speaker BAnd all these things are to help us to do the things he needs.
Speaker BHe's given us a Bible that has everything we need to know.
Speaker BIt's in there.
Speaker BEverything we need to know is in there.
Speaker BIf we needed to know more, it would have been in there.
Speaker DCorrect.
Speaker BI'm good with that.
Speaker BEverything we need to know to get from this life to salvation, to eternity is all in that book.
Speaker BAnd the Holy Spirit, especially when you look at how Jesus explains the helper, the Holy Spirit coming, is to help us understand these things and learn them and implement them.
Speaker BSo if we have our instruction manual, why do we keep going outside the manual?
Speaker BWhy do we keep looking for all these other ways?
Speaker BWe're very prideful.
Speaker DWe love selfishness.
Speaker BDo it ourself.
Speaker DYeah, it's selfish.
Speaker DIt's the only answer.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BBut we live in a culture that continues to swallow these other ideas and regurgitate them as if they're good, which sounds.
Speaker BIt is an oxymoron.
Speaker BBut we do.
Speaker BWe take all the.
Speaker BAnd that was one of the reasons that the Israelites got in trouble in the Old Testament again and again and again is they would start implementing these other things.
Speaker BThat's one of the things people charged the Catholic Church with, is that they took things that weren't of Christian and they implemented them in.
Speaker BI hear that when it comes to the Catholic Church, they complain that the thing with the saints is it represents the same thing as the paganism that had a God for everything that they prayed for.
Speaker BAnd so this time they have a saint to pray for, for everything.
Speaker BAs an intercessor.
Speaker DYes.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BThey compare those two things.
Speaker BThat's one of the complaints.
Speaker DWell, the big one for reformed Catholics is always praying to Mary.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BOkay, but you see, there's a similarity there.
Speaker BIt's like we keep trying to go outside of what we have, you know, and it's interesting, too, because even the society around us, even those who aren't even believers, I see them online all the time.
Speaker BWell, what about these other things that you know?
Speaker BBecause there's always another gospel, another writing.
Speaker BWell, this was supposed to be in the Bible or this one, you know, why do you guys keep looking for more?
Speaker AWhat's interesting, we can go back to Saul and see that.
Speaker AThe interesting thing to me about the story, besides the whole details, but the background of it is Saul was constantly trying to seek God himself instead of using Samuel.
Speaker AAnd then when he didn't have Samuel, he chose to seek Samuel instead of God himself.
Speaker ALike, he was constantly trying to do things whatever way he wanted to do them.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ANot the way that God had originally planned and set up.
Speaker BYeah, I mean, we often try to chase God on our terms, not realizing that it's not how it works.
Speaker BWe gotta chase him on his terms.
Speaker BHe's given them to us pretty plainly once again.
Speaker BCan he use all these other ways?
Speaker BSure he can.
Speaker BHe is God.
Speaker BHe can do anything he wants.
Speaker BBut why?
Speaker BWhy are we trying to keep forcing him to use all these other methods one way?
Speaker BHe could have just been listening the whole time.
Speaker AWell, I mean, I'm just saying, it said, like, you know, all the signs and wonders in the world won't make people believe.
Speaker BExactly.
Speaker BI mean, he's given us everything we need.
Speaker BYou know, he pointed to the stars at one point.
Speaker BThey missed that, too, except for some people that were coming from out of state.
Speaker BHey, isn't there a Messiah supposed to be born?
Speaker BHe would be born over there, right?
Speaker AThe one.
Speaker AThe people who weren't even followers.
Speaker BAnd Daniel, he gave them a timeline to look at, an exact timeline and.
Speaker AWhere they were able to and all of it.
Speaker BAnd it played out exactly as it said.
Speaker AAnd they found it so important that they paid attention to it, whereas the people that he came to completely ignored him till his death.
Speaker BYeah, that's the thing that gets me, you know, people that are willing to miss what's right in front of them, you know, that's why when he said, woe to you, Bethsaida, if the things that.
Speaker BAnd he meant two other places.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BCapernaum and what was the other one?
Speaker BI know.
Speaker BAnyway, woe to you if the signs that have been done to you were done in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Speaker BThey would have repented long ago.
Speaker BLike, dude, you had me here.
Speaker BYou missed it.
Speaker BI was right here.
Speaker BEverything was in front of you and you took everything for granted.
Speaker BYou weren't willing to see what was right in front of your face.
Speaker BWe have a Bible right in front of our face.
Speaker BWe have churches right in front of our face.
Speaker BWe have the way that makes it easy and simple right in front of our face.
Speaker BAnd we keep trying to complicate it even more because we're too proud to go.
Speaker BAh, I can just accept that.
Speaker AWell, and not to mention the fact.
Speaker AAnd don't get this mixed up.
Speaker ALike, we are not divine, but we have the divine in us, the Holy Spirit.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ALike there's, there's no more connection necessary.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AYou don't got to go to these other things.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALike the Holy Spirit is guiding you if you listen.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd we have reckon we have record in the Bible of God helping people with their belief, with their understanding.
Speaker BI mean, Solomon asked for wisdom.
Speaker BGod gave him wisdom.
Speaker BHe gave him everything else with it.
Speaker BI mean, he's willing to give us the things that he knows are good, and yet we still try to find other ways to get them.
Speaker BIt's remarkable.
Speaker BAnd he covered it all very basically.
Speaker BYou're worried about getting enough of the things you need, you'll get what you need.
Speaker BSeek the kingdom first.
Speaker BHe didn't say all the things you want.
Speaker BI mean, our commercialism society says, go and get all the things you want.
Speaker BAnd if you don't get all the things you want, there's a problem.
Speaker BGod goes, don't worry about that.
Speaker BI'll make sure you have everything you need.
Speaker BSeek the kingdom first.
Speaker BIt's funny because there's a lot of things about God and about his salvation story, about the Bible, about the gospel.
Speaker BIt's all very simple and yet we keep complicating it.
Speaker BWe have a way out and people are trying to complicate the way out.
Speaker BGod loves us.
Speaker BPeople try to complicate that we can be forgiven.
Speaker BPeople try to complicate that.
Speaker BThere's so much that's simple.
Speaker BThe Bible is really about one man, two things.
Speaker BHis first coming and his second coming.
Speaker BWe're trying to complicate that.
Speaker BPeople are always trying to read between lines and see something that's not there.
Speaker BIt's ridiculous.
Speaker BSo, I mean, have you always known all of this.
Speaker BKnown all of what?
Speaker CAll of this.
Speaker CAll that you're talking about.
Speaker CHave you always known all of this?
Speaker BNot always.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CSo in the beginning, before you got to the point you are now, where was your mindset?
Speaker BIt's a complicated story in itself.
Speaker CCorrect?
Speaker CEveryone has a complicated story.
Speaker BBut the thing is that at the same time, like, even the times where I fell into some of these other things, God was always there swaying me.
Speaker COf course he's always gonna be there.
Speaker CBut here's the thing.
Speaker CDid you understand that back then?
Speaker CAnd if you did, then, I mean, there's people that.
Speaker BBut that's the thing.
Speaker CThey don't understand.
Speaker BYou're right.
Speaker BYou're right.
Speaker BThere's people that need more understanding.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker BBut you have.
Speaker BYou have a couple problems with that.
Speaker BNumber one is that in church, there's a lot of churches and church people and followers of people who follow Jesus who spend more time arguing about things that don't matter than it is about reaching out and trying to help those people come to the right conclusions.
Speaker BNumber two, people are stubborn and they want to do it themselves.
Speaker BEvery other religion in the world is about doing it yourself.
Speaker BEvery other in the religion of the world says that you got to figure it out.
Speaker BAnd unfortunately, the only one that ever has true prophecy that is proven throughout it is Christianity, Judaism being second, because that's where most of our prophecy comes from.
Speaker CSo you don't feel if that you were brought up differently, if you were brought up.
Speaker CIf your culture was something different.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CLet's say.
Speaker CLet's say you were born Haitian.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CThey believe in something totally different from what we do.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker CAnd they raise their kids as such.
Speaker CDo you think you'd be saying the same thing?
Speaker CYou don't know?
Speaker BI don't know.
Speaker BYou're giving an example I can't speak into.
Speaker BI'm just saying, like, for those.
Speaker BThe biggest thing for me is that, you know, it's.
Speaker BThere's a lot of fault in a place.
Speaker BYou know, it's all our own fault that these things are more complicated than needs to be.
Speaker DBut we're all influenced by our environment.
Speaker BSo I'm with you there.
Speaker CAnd that's exactly what.
Speaker CIt's a cultural thing.
Speaker BI grew up.
Speaker AThat's true.
Speaker ABut it doesn't change the truth.
Speaker AIt doesn't change.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker ALike, that's what we have to.
Speaker AWe have to at the same time understand.
Speaker AI agree.
Speaker AI think that the truth is.
Speaker BThe truth is the truth.
Speaker CWhen you look at it like, okay, did my mom say, here, here's a Bible.
Speaker CRead it.
Speaker CIt's got the truth in it.
Speaker CNo.
Speaker CDid her mom say, hey, here's a Bible?
Speaker CIt's a trickle down effect?
Speaker ASure, absolutely.
Speaker BI mean, I was, where I grew up, it was a lot of things I did not see in a biblical way because that was the environment I was in.
Speaker BYou know, certain things were just okay and normal, you know, and I had to learn as I continued to grow closer to God.
Speaker BOkay, that's really not okay.
Speaker BThat's really not something to be promoted.
Speaker BIt's not normal.
Speaker CI mean, you know what's right, what's right and what's wrong.
Speaker BYeah, but when you.
Speaker BThere's certain things where, when society makes it seem like this is just how things are and they're not supposed to be that way, you know, you kind of take it at full value unless you have something else.
Speaker ALet's take it back to the Ouija board, right?
Speaker ALike, for those who have been in the church, it's one of two things.
Speaker AEither know just simply based on what it is or know because of what it is.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker ALike we know that this is playing with or it's just got the stigma, right?
Speaker AThat's what I'm trying to say is it's either got the stigma or like we understand what this is doing and we really shouldn't touch it.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AWell, society has put it as a joke in movies, right.
Speaker AOr media.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AAnd it's just a toy.
Speaker AIt's, it's, it's a game right down the game aisle.
Speaker ARight, Right.
Speaker AThat's all it is, is a game down the game aisle, but it's not.
Speaker AAnd so, I mean, that's, that's a common point where we're playing, right?
Speaker AThat's the playground that we've been given.
Speaker AAnd so as much as it's always going to be true that you shouldn't play with that Ouija board, right?
Speaker ASome people don't know that.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALike, some people just don't know this is true.
Speaker BAnd like, if they're, if they grew up in an environment where this is just a toy that everybody has on their shelves and it's fine and it's fun and it's not nothing, it's the same thing as anyone that grows up and nobody's ever said anything to them, or if they grew up thinking that if they open up a fortune cookie that that's exactly what they're.
Speaker BThat that's for them, that's not a chance cookie that this is talking to you.
Speaker BIf you're told that from day one and you've never heard anything different.
Speaker BYou're gonna think this fortune cookie's talking to me unless you get really skeptical of it.
Speaker CThere's.
Speaker CSometimes I come into church and Nick says something, I'd be like, dang, he knew what I was doing, thinking.
Speaker CHe knew what I was feeling.
Speaker CLike God just put that on his heart so he could say that.
Speaker CBecause I needed to hear that.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd I'm not trying to step on toes.
Speaker BI get I tend to sound very opinionated on this kind of stuff, but I'm not trying to sound opinionated.
Speaker ANobody else in this room is opinionated on anything.
Speaker BYou're definitely opinionated.
Speaker AEverybody in this room is very opinionated on things.
Speaker AI'm not especially on having opinions.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker CI mean, I'm opinion on medical stuff, because that's what I know.
Speaker AYou got opinions.
Speaker AWe've all got opinions.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker AThat's.
Speaker BBut anyway, it's, you know, it's one of those things like that, especially for me, the deeper and deeper I go and understand.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker BIt's really.
Speaker BIt's like, wow, why am I.
Speaker BIt's more simple and less complicated.
Speaker BAnd it's.
Speaker BIt's wild how when you look back, you're like, why?
Speaker BWell, why, why, why do we.
Speaker BWhy had it been this way?
Speaker BWhy can't it have been simple the whole time?
Speaker AI think something important to draw out of this is that it's easy to become infatuated with the spiritual things, right?
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker AWhether that's demons, angels, Ouija boards, fairies, dragons, which are potentially real dinosaurs or dragons.
Speaker ADinosaurs or dragons.
Speaker AJust saying.
Speaker ABut anyways, so that's what they were.
Speaker BCalled before they were called dinosaurs.
Speaker AIt's easy to get intoxicated with that because that stuff is stuff that's supernatural, right.
Speaker AThat stuff that is outside of the natural observer world.
Speaker CI don't know.
Speaker AAnd it's exciting if you can go.
Speaker CFull on like that, because there are people that, you know, their loved one died and they're like so distraught, and they're like, I wish you would just come talk to me or just let me know that you're okay or whatever.
Speaker CSo is that wrong to feel that way?
Speaker BNo, I wouldn't think so.
Speaker AI'm not necessarily saying a curiosity is wrong either, because it's there.
Speaker AIt's.
Speaker AIt's a curious thing, right?
Speaker ALike one of them.
Speaker CWhy something.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker CShouldn't be touched or, you know, it's like a.
Speaker CLike a little kid.
Speaker CYou said, don't touch that stove.
Speaker CWhat are they doing?
Speaker CDon't Touch that stove, you're gonna get burnt.
Speaker CWhat are they doing?
Speaker CI said don't touch that stove.
Speaker BIs it really right?
Speaker CThey're going.
Speaker CAnd I think it's not so much that they're oblivious.
Speaker CIt's just let me experience it for myself so I can understand it better.
Speaker BYeah, I think deep down in every single person, honestly, I think there's this small seed in every single person that knows the truth.
Speaker BAnd it's just different shades of covering it up.
Speaker BAnd for those who continue to try to open themselves up more and more to the truth, they look a little bit more like somehow we imagine church people to be.
Speaker BAnd then there's people that are so far gone that they try to just.
Speaker BNothing like that could possibly exist.
Speaker BAlthough somehow there's still a struggle with them inside their heads.
Speaker BI think that's what invokes the anger sometimes.
Speaker BBut because they know that there's something beyond, that's where people start seeking and they start trying to things out.
Speaker BYou know, I remember, I can't remember if it was one of Lee Stirbil's books.
Speaker BI remember hearing a story of a guy, he would grew up and he was in a Jewish family and then he went to war and he kind of wasn't really practicing anything in the Jewish faith.
Speaker BAnd then he started trying out a bunch of other faiths and a bunch of other stuff.
Speaker BAnd then one day there was a street preacher that, that was talking about Jesus and he thought the only thing he knew about Jesus that what he was told growing up is that there was this guy who was not the real dude and blah, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker BAnd so he's like, this guy's talking nonsense.
Speaker BAnd then he challenged him on Old Testament.
Speaker BAnd that challenge opened his eyes up to something he never considered, is that there is a connection between the two.
Speaker BSo he went back and he studied the Old Testament.
Speaker BWell, he studied a Jewish Bible compared to what this guy was talking about and saw what this guy was talking about and it opened the door.
Speaker BSometimes we're so welcome to.
Speaker BWe welcome the idea of trying to get around the truth until it's staring us in the face.
Speaker BAnd for those who are willing to then open the door and go, I'm going to walk through that.
Speaker BWhat we start to find, I think not only is it simple, but it's just world changing.
Speaker BBecause how much have I been fighting against all the ways we fight against the things we should be doing, I think is the most surprising thing instead of just doing what we should be, which is once again, I think it's.
Speaker AMore simple than I think it's.
Speaker AI think we're.
Speaker ASo we're generalizing now instead of talking directly to this topic.
Speaker AAnd one thing about this topic that I think is important to know is that some truths you shouldn't investigate, right?
Speaker ALike, you shouldn't.
Speaker ALike, it's.
Speaker AI have a dangerous curiosity about demons.
Speaker AAnd I figured out how to stay away from that curiosity and keep that, that curiosity at bay and closed.
Speaker AAnd it's the same thing you do with.
Speaker AIf you want to be a counterfeiter, right?
Speaker ALike, if you want to be able to tell the difference between a counterfeit dollar and not.
Speaker AYou focus on the real thing.
Speaker AYou don't focus on the counterfeit, right?
Speaker ASo I'm gonna focus on Jesus, right?
Speaker AAnd I'm going to make that my passion and try to stay as far away from the demon stuff as possible, right?
Speaker ABut if I just let myself go, demons are real.
Speaker ALike, and I believe that some people do know more than, than what is on the simple surface level of demons that we know, right?
Speaker ALike, I really do.
Speaker AAnd, but that doesn't mean that I should open myself up to that curiosity and dive down that rabbit hole because what benefit could it have for me?
Speaker AI could be finding out truth, but what benefit does it have for me or anyone else in the end, right?
Speaker AWhere Jesus clearly states that some demons have to be cast out by prayer, right?
Speaker ASome in the name of God, right?
Speaker ASo, like, that's all the more I really need to know about them, right?
Speaker AIs how to, how to send them home, how to get.
Speaker ASend them packing, right?
Speaker ASo like some truth about some things is something that we don't need to explore because it's not of benefit to anyone.
Speaker BYou would be backed up by.
Speaker BThere's been a lot of people that have gone the demonic route and then turned their life around to Jesus and will now tell people, don't go, don't do that.
Speaker BPeople don't know what they're doing, you know, and don't get involved in this, this and this.
Speaker BAnd like, you just don't know what you're doing.
Speaker BAnd it's.
Speaker BYou're right.
Speaker BThere are people that, that chase that curiosity and when they see the other side, they're like, no, yeah, no, that's not what you want in your life.
Speaker BAnd I think that's interesting every time.
Speaker AAnd who doesn't want to know what tomorrow holds?
Speaker BOh, I mean, sure.
Speaker AWho doesn't want to know what's going to happen tomorrow, right?
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ABut if we actually knew, they could.
Speaker CBe like you got.
Speaker AHere's the thing.
Speaker AHere's the thing.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ANo, but for real, that's the thing is like half the time if we knew what was going to happen tomorrow, we'd change it, thus not knowing what's going to happen tomorrow.
Speaker ASo like it's not worth chasing that.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AIt's worth living today right here and now.
Speaker CRight.
Speaker BAnd Jesus said not to worry about tomorrow.
Speaker BTomorrow we'll worry about it.
Speaker AGot enough problems for itself.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BBut there's an important role of faith in our lives.
Speaker BTo trust in our.
Speaker BTo trust our tomorrows to God, trust our todays to God and live just in the present that he's given us.
Speaker BAnd to walk in faith as we go instead of trying to be that far ahead.
Speaker DWell, that goes back to the divination.
Speaker DWhat you're doing is trying to shortcut God.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker DYou're trying to get the answers around him, to take his power, if anything, and his knowledge for yourself.
Speaker DAnd I'll state it just because it's how I see a lot of this stuff.
Speaker DThe devil deceives us into thinking what enslaves us is entertainment.
Speaker DWhether it be a Ouija board, Tarot cards, or even some of these movies.
Speaker DThey're way too dark, way too demonic for you to fill your good soul with.
Speaker DAnd since good and evil can't be in the same place at the same time, when you're in that place, what are you giving up space from?
Speaker BWhat are you really trying to fill yourself with?
Speaker DRight.
Speaker BAnd you know, good, good hearted, good intentioned Christians fall into this too.
Speaker BEspecially when you think about the idea of like people.
Speaker BBut now I really enjoy the book of Revelation.
Speaker BIt's not a secret, but some people take it way too far where they are trying to constantly predict when everything's going to happen and they get so hung up on it that they miss what we're supposed to be doing.
Speaker BWe're not supposed to be out doing that.
Speaker BWe're supposed to be.
Speaker DIt's in the first book about eating that apple.
Speaker BOkay?
Speaker BAnd I get it.
Speaker BFor someone who loves that book and loves the book of Daniel and loves all that eschatology and all that, I love it.
Speaker BBut you know, that's not the focal point.
Speaker BIt's awesome that God's telling us, giving a sneak peek of windows into these things, but we got work to do.
Speaker BThat is supposed to be the motivator to get the work done before that happens, not the focal point.
Speaker BYou know what I mean?
Speaker BWhere you look forward to Jesus coming again.
Speaker BThat is an important part of it.
Speaker BBut we still got work to do.
Speaker BAnd so if you keep taking your eyes off of the now and the things we're supposed to be doing now, and you're only looking at.
Speaker BThen, you know, and that knowing things about that book, there's.
Speaker BTrust me, I.
Speaker BI watch the news.
Speaker BI look for things that I'm like, you know, that does match up a little bit.
Speaker BThat could be something.
Speaker BYou never know.
Speaker BBut I'm also not so hung up on it that I'm going to.
Speaker DRight.
Speaker BYou know, go start racking up my credit cards or doing crazy stuff because start a culture.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI mean, people did that, you know, more than once.
Speaker BWas it.
Speaker BYeah, they.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BPeople stopped paying for their houses.
Speaker BI mean, things do crazy.
Speaker BBut that's not what we're supposed to be doing.
Speaker AI think it's.
Speaker AI think.
Speaker AI think we need to understand that it's even more simple than do this, do that, or don't do this.
Speaker AYou know, like, it's more.
Speaker AIt's more simple than, you know.
Speaker AYes Tarot cards.
Speaker ANo Tarot cards.
Speaker AYes Ouija board.
Speaker ANo Ouija board.
Speaker AThe thing we need to focus on is what did Jesus tell us to do?
Speaker AWhat is.
Speaker AWhat is the Holy Spirit telling us and convicting us and calling us to do right now?
Speaker ABecause if he calls you to a foreknowledge of the future, he's going to give that to you.
Speaker AIt's in scripture.
Speaker AThere's a certain way of going about doing prophecy.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ASo, like.
Speaker ASo if you're so focused on do I or do I not?
Speaker AWell, then you're going to completely miss any of that that he's trying to give you.
Speaker ALike you.
Speaker AYou.
Speaker AYou got to be present with him in the moment more so than worried about the do's and the don'ts and the yes and the no's.
Speaker DYeah.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker DVery good.
Speaker ASo I think that that's.
Speaker AThat's even more of a narrower, simpler, like, more fine.
Speaker BOh, yeah.
Speaker APoint of where we need to get.
Speaker CIt all the way.
Speaker CAnd what's at the bottom of the pot.
Speaker CThat's what it is.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BI mean, it's like Romans 12.
Speaker DIced onion.
Speaker ASometimes.
Speaker AThat's really good.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo like Romans 12, verses 1 and 2.
Speaker BTherefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
Speaker BThis is your true worship.
Speaker BDo not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may discern what is the Good, pleasing and perfect will of God.
Speaker BKeep renewing your mind in this, in him, your Bible, following him, clearing it out, all that other stuff.
Speaker BAnd as you said, like, if he wants to use you in those ways, he will, right?
Speaker BThat's his will, not your will.
Speaker BI had somebody ask me the other day asking me how things were going here at this church, and I'm loving it right now.
Speaker BSo he's like, you know, are you going to stay there for like the next five years?
Speaker BI said, you know, that's up to God, but yeah, I mean, I will.
Speaker BHe's like, well, yeah, but if you had to call, if you got to call the shot, would you?
Speaker BI'm like, yeah, of course I would.
Speaker BBut he's like, okay, all right.
Speaker BWell, yeah, I said, but obviously, you know, I'm not in charge of that.
Speaker BI do what God tells me to do.
Speaker AIf I was in charge of it, we wouldn't be here right now.
Speaker AI'm just saying, like, we would have never.
Speaker AWell, we would have never come in the first place.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker ALike for a part time job, quitting two full time jobs.
Speaker AThat's ridiculous.
Speaker ALike for moving 1400 miles away from my family.
Speaker AYeah, that's not happening.
Speaker ASo totally a God thing, right?
Speaker ATotally got.
Speaker AAnd God's done great things through it.
Speaker ABut to wrap this up, right, to bring this all home.
Speaker ADivination, right?
Speaker AIs some of that stuff real?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AIs some of that stuff fake?
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AIs that any of the stuff you should be focusing on?
Speaker ANo.
Speaker AListen to the Holy Spirit in the moment and he'll give you what you need for right now.
Speaker AEven if that's a vision of tomorrow.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AAnd always remember to become that new creature that God is creating you with.
Speaker AThe renewing of your mind and your heart.
Speaker DSo there's that, there's that we should like and subscribe.
Speaker AYeah, yeah.
Speaker AIf you haven't, which you did recently, you liked and subscribed or something to our Facebook or YouTube.
Speaker CNo, YouTube.
Speaker AYouTube.
Speaker CI have you on Spotify.
Speaker DBut she's like, I'm not sure if.
Speaker ABut now you can watch it.
Speaker CNow I can watch?
Speaker CYes.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker CI went back and I was looking.
Speaker ASo I'm also throwing up all of our episodes on Patreon.
Speaker AI'm throwing up all of the, all of the devotions on, on Patreon.
Speaker ASo everything is going there.
Speaker AIt's a one stop shop.
Speaker AIt makes it a little easier to navigate some of the things.
Speaker AAnd you don't have to go anywhere else.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker ASo anywhere else.
Speaker AI appreciate all of you who are Subscribers currently, I do need to email you guys and get what you.
Speaker AHow you want to be addressed because I want to call shout outs, but I don't want to like just give everybody's names out, you know, unless you want that, then whatever.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ABut as a thank you, I just.
Speaker AI want to say thank you.
Speaker ALike, you mean the world to us.
Speaker AWe could not be here without you guys.
Speaker AAnd I don't know what he's doing.
Speaker BHe's just showing him the YouTube page.
Speaker AScrolling the YouTubes.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker DAny good comments?
Speaker BI didn't look.
Speaker AWe've had some.
Speaker ASome in recent weeks.
Speaker AWe've had some good comments.
Speaker DLet's see.
Speaker DThat's what we should do.
Speaker DMaybe one week.
Speaker DYou start out with the comments from last week.
Speaker CYep.
Speaker AThere we go.
Speaker AI like it.
Speaker CAnd touch base on it.
