Hello and welcome to Thursday Thought.
Speaker AToday I wanted to continue our theme of clearing this week and look at clearing our mental and emotional blocks.
Speaker AThese are the things that often stop us.
Speaker AWe often underrate the real impact of mental blocks and our state of mind on our success in any area of our life.
Speaker ABecause what we believe is true, we kind of make true.
Speaker ASo if you believe you won't find a man or you can't earn 10,000amonth, then that will be true for you because you're, you're from an unconscious level creating that in your reality.
Speaker ASo these mental blocks can be fears, doubts, or even past experiences that linger in our minds and in our hearts and emotions, in our body, even in terms of energy blocks.
Speaker ASo let's explore a little bit about how we can begin to clear these obstacles and create space for growth and expansion and positivity.
Speaker AAnd in clearing them, what you will find is that you'll be able to see bigger opportunities, possibilities that you won't able to see before.
Speaker ABecause being in a mindset of limitation keeps you really focused within that box of that belief.
Speaker AAnd it's difficult sometimes to see beyond that.
Speaker ASo let's take a moment to understand what we mean by emotional blocks as well.
Speaker AThese are the thoughts and feelings that prevent us from moving forward.
Speaker AAnd as I said, they can stem from fear, from past traumas, or just from programming and conditioning and negative selft talk and building your awareness, creating mindful time for yourself and recognizing these blocks is the first step towards being able to clear them.
Speaker ABecause we can't change what we don't acknowledge or what we're not aware of.
Speaker ASo to start with, ask yourself, what fears are holding you back?
Speaker AWhat negative beliefs do I have about myself?
Speaker AAnd then acknowledging these thoughts is crucial.
Speaker AWrite them down and look at them and kind of accept them that they are present.
Speaker AYou don't have to embody them or go, oh my goodness and give emotion to them.
Speaker AThat's not what we're after.
Speaker AIn fact, the less emotion you give to them, the better.
Speaker AAnd acknowledging them really allows you to confront them and then let them go rather than control you and not even confront.
Speaker AIt's about accepting that they're there, not giving any weight to them, and deciding and making a choice to hold a different belief.
Speaker ASo once you've identified your blocks, and I would do it for every area in your life, so not just asking yourself, what fears are holding me back, but what fears are holding me back in the area of relationships, what fears are holding me back in the area of Work and go through your life, your kind of wheel of life, doing that so you can what.
Speaker AWhat fears are holding me back in the area of finance?
Speaker AWhat fears are holding me back in the area of friends and social and community?
Speaker ASo go through your life, you know, parenting, family is another one.
Speaker AAnd just ask those questions.
Speaker AWhat fears do you have?
Speaker AAnd also what other negative beliefs you have about yourself in those areas.
Speaker AAnd also what you're holding about other people.
Speaker AAnd as I say, for instance, the relationship 1.
Speaker AIf you don't believe you ever meet your soulmate, then maybe you won't.
Speaker AAnd also look at your belief around what your soulmate would be like.
Speaker AWhat's the type of person you're looking to attract?
Speaker ASo now that we've identified those blocks and you've taken that time, here are a few techniques to be able to clear them.
Speaker AThe first one I've mentioned is mindfulness meditation, because that helps you gently quiet your mind and bring into awareness the thoughts and beliefs that are going through your mind and being able to observe them rather than to engage in them.
Speaker ASo it takes practice, but it is really powerful to be able to acknowledge them without judgment and then, you know, focusing on your breath and just allowing them to be.
Speaker AAnd it helps you create distance between you and your thoughts.
Speaker AIt helps you to let go of any emotional attachment to your thoughts and helps you to realize that you aren't your thoughts.
Speaker AAnd it's a choice between allowing your thoughts to control you or you to control your thoughts.
Speaker AAnother one that's really popular for me is journaling.
Speaker AAnd I have a journaling program which you'll find in the comments and the notes area if you're interested in that.
Speaker AIt's an advanced program which includes daily prompts, which are also audio prompts, and some of those are guided visualizations as well.
Speaker AAnd journaling is a great way to clear emotional blocks and fears by writing down and kind of answering the questions around the prompts.
Speaker AThat allows you to bring things into your awareness and also once you brought them into your awareness to kind of have a conversation that checks in whether that fear that you have, what's the likelihood of it coming true?
Speaker AIs it?
Speaker AIs the belief serving you?
Speaker AWhat would be a better belief?
Speaker AThings like that.
Speaker ASo journaling can help you really process those emotions and gain clarity on what's really bothering you as well.
Speaker AAnother thing is NLP timeline therapy, coaching, all of those powerful, powerful interactions.
Speaker AYou can learn neuro linguistic programming for yourself.
Speaker AThere's lots of courses online or work with someone who is a practitioner Master practitioner who can help you identify the programs that you're running, identify the beliefs that are limiting you, and identify the blocks that you have in your life as well.
Speaker AAnd that is a really powerful thing to be able to do.
Speaker AAnd also with the awareness of your blocks, recognizing that you have a choice as long as you're aware when that belief comes up, now that it's in your conscious awareness, you have a choice whether to choose to allow it to drive your decisions or to choose a new belief and a new way of moving forward.
Speaker AIt takes practice.
Speaker AThere will be times that you'll possibly forget, but it is a great practice to change your beliefs that way.
Speaker ABut definitely working with someone, like with hypnosis, where you're learning to work directly with your unconscious mind as well, can accelerate the belief change process.
Speaker ABecause we can change a belief in any moment.
Speaker AI'm sure you've, you've seen that before where something you thought was true, you found out isn't true.
Speaker AAnd that can change your perception about a person, about subjects, and that can take seconds to do and it can maybe have a transformational effect on your life.
Speaker ASo you can change your beliefs quite quickly.
Speaker AIf you've got patterns that have become habitual that support beliefs, then identifying them and changing and creating new patterns really helps as well.
Speaker AAffirmations help.
Speaker AAnd I like to think of the affirmation more in the way of when you become conscious of a belief, choosing the belief you'd prefer to have and using that as an affirmation.
Speaker ASo if you have that belief of I'll never find my soulmate, you could choose my soulmates waiting for me and we'll arrive at the perfect time.
Speaker AAnd because you're consciously aware of the negative belief and if you've journaled around that negative belief that you, you won't find your soulmate, you can create a list of all the reasons that you can find a soulmate, what's true for you and use that as the leverage if you like.
Speaker AThe awareness that backs up the affirmation and the affirmations really to be powerful, you have to be stood in the truth of the affirmation for it to really, really work and practicing.
Speaker AOne of the things you can practice from neuro linguistic programming is anchoring.
Speaker ASo really anchoring that belief in as well.
Speaker AAnd those emotions that go through it go with it, really getting into the end result if you like.
Speaker ASo as you begin to clear mental and emotional blocks, remember that the progress takes time.
Speaker ASometimes we clear one belief and another one emerges because it's been hidden underneath.
Speaker ASo it's going to take time.
Speaker AIt's going to take practice.
Speaker ASome of it is new habits.
Speaker ASo be patient with yourself and really celebrate the small victories along the way because those small victories can actually be transformational, clearing mental and emotional blocks.
Speaker AAnd what stops you, as I said, opens up your mind to new possibilities for growth and happiness because you move beyond those barriers that have been stopping you seeing sometimes what's right in front of you.
Speaker ASo take a deep breath, embrace the journey, and trust that you have the power to create positive change in your life.
