This is a global player original podcast.
Lou HannahBe warned, it's Lou Hannah.
Lou HannahAnd this podcast contains honest upfront opinions.
Lou HannahGosh, stinky ass from me.
Lou HannahRants, bants, and general explicit content.
Lou HannahBut, well, apparently, you know, you love it, and.
Lou HannahAnd we love you too.
Lou HannahGood morning, everyone.
Lou HannahWelcome to Monday's Luanna.
Lou HannahThe podcast.
Lou HannahIt's bad, isn't it?
Lou HannahAlso, the gunt is on particular form today of me.
Lou HannahI mean, I'd say it's like, almost.
Anna WilliamsonSmall to your gun.
Lou HannahYou're attached to it.
Lou HannahYeah, I'm quite attached to it.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonYou like it?
Lou HannahI think I like it.
Anna WilliamsonYou know, well, guns and all.
Anna WilliamsonHere we are.
Lou HannahHere we are.
Lou HannahNow we have started the morning strong at Champney's.
Lou HannahTwo at the pod.
Lou HannahPod.
Lou HannahOh, Louise, what's wrong with you?
Anna WilliamsonWore those socks.
Anna WilliamsonYou know, when I picked my socks today from my drawer, nearly picked a boring pair, and I thought, they're not gonna bring me joy.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not gonna wear those socks.
Anna WilliamsonI need joy in my life.
Anna WilliamsonKeep me joying.
Anna WilliamsonRamble.
Lou HannahI play.
Anna WilliamsonNo, I Pray.
Lou HannahPray.
Lou HannahWe have yet again come dressed as twins.
Lou HannahI mean, we've got to sort this out.
Anna WilliamsonWhat's wrong with us?
Anna WilliamsonWhy we keep marching on down.
Lou HannahYou know what this is?
Lou HannahYou know what this is?
Lou HannahThis is several years, almost a decade.
Lou HannahWe should have, like a.
Lou HannahWe should have, like a.
Lou HannahA marriage ceremony when we hit, like, an actual decade.
Anna WilliamsonShall we get married?
Anna WilliamsonBut, like, not officially.
Anna WilliamsonIn like a pagan.
Lou HannahHave a.
Lou HannahYes.
Anna WilliamsonOh, we could.
Anna WilliamsonLike a humanist wedding.
Anna WilliamsonMarrying your work.
Anna WilliamsonWhat is wrong with our mics?
Lou HannahWhy can't we see each other today?
Anna WilliamsonHang on the table, I think.
Lou HannahNo, there we go.
Lou HannahNo, it's what happens when we're on our own.
Anna WilliamsonThings have been moved around.
Anna WilliamsonNo, we're all right.
Anna WilliamsonIt was me.
Anna WilliamsonI think I pushed the table back.
Lou HannahNo, I'm all right now.
Lou HannahYeah, Emo isn't here today, by the way.
Anna WilliamsonGuys, we could make just for vague.
Lou HannahWilliams podcast so we could make up a massive excuse.
Lou HannahBut she's basically.
Anna WilliamsonShe said we're basically more capable than Vogue Williams of running the show.
Lou HannahWe'll take that.
Anna WilliamsonWhich is true.
Lou HannahWe'll.
Lou HannahWe'll take that.
Anna WilliamsonEven though Vogue has like 10 million podcasts, you think she'd be able to do herself by now?
Lou HannahAnd we love Vogue, by the way.
Anna WilliamsonOh, yeah.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not throwing shade.
Lou HannahNo, no shade.
Anna WilliamsonI am.
Anna WilliamsonI need to IMs.
Lou HannahFriendly shade.
Lou HannahFriendly shade.
Anna WilliamsonNo.
Lou HannahSo IMs.
Lou HannahShe is using her prowess elsewhere.
Lou HannahBut that's okay because, of course, she has created.
Lou HannahIn fact, she's backed herself today, Lou.
Lou HannahShe's put on our little group chat this morning, guys, this is one of the scripts I've done in a long time and she's.
Lou HannahShe's proper sad.
Lou HannahShe's not here.
Lou HannahSo we're looking forward to this.
Lou HannahSo brace yourself, guys, because coming up today in Luana, the podcast, I think we've got a bit of healthy debate and some feedback from.
Anna WilliamsonShe's got no idea what's coming up today because she's not read the script.
Anna WilliamsonI love the fact you did like a gmtv.
Anna WilliamsonThat did sound GMT today.
Anna WilliamsonNo fucking clue.
Anna WilliamsonBecause all you've seen is this first page which says, hello, do an intro.
Lou HannahWell, no, but she did.
Lou HannahHave you not read her message?
Anna WilliamsonYeah, she picked it up.
Lou HannahShe picked it up.
Anna WilliamsonOh, yeah, We've got a healthy debate.
Lou HannahAbout a story we talked about last week, so stay tuned.
Anna WilliamsonThe drug thing in the drug room.
Anna WilliamsonGlasgow Space girls.
Anna WilliamsonWell, can I just say.
Lou HannahYes, you can.
Anna WilliamsonI went.
Lou HannahYes, you may.
Lou HannahPermission to speak, please.
Anna WilliamsonOh, look at the rain, Anna.
Anna WilliamsonOh, it's miserable being in England.
Anna WilliamsonI need to go back to Dubai now, me.
Anna WilliamsonRain on me.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, go on.
Anna WilliamsonI went to Preventicum.
Lou HannahBeg your pardon?
Anna WilliamsonLast week's.
Anna WilliamsonMy health check.
Lou HannahOh, my gosh, Lufanians.
Lou HannahI know a little bit of this, but not all of it.
Lou HannahSo basically, so what is Preventicum?
Lou HannahBecause you've now ignited the actual health anxiety.
Lou HannahOne, one, one joke that I am.
Anna WilliamsonWell, you know, Davina McCall recently said, oh, she's got a brain tumor, blah, blah.
Lou HannahWhat?
Lou HannahShe did?
Anna WilliamsonYeah, she did a health scan.
Anna WilliamsonSo if you've got an aneurysm, you would not know unless you had like a brain mri.
Lou HannahBabs, I'm booking myself in.
Anna WilliamsonSo, basically, I went for one.
Anna WilliamsonAndrew had one too, and he was like, I think you should do one.
Anna WilliamsonProbably taking life insurance.
Lou HannahDid you?
Lou HannahYeah, you know it.
Lou HannahDid you do it because you'd heard Davina McCool talk about, didn't she?
Anna WilliamsonNo, we've been talking.
Lou HannahI think she was doing something and then someone offered it, or.
Lou HannahI can't remember, I don't know.
Anna WilliamsonBut anyway, she did a health and.
Lou HannahWe all know that.
Lou HannahThen it came out with this.
Lou HannahThis brain cyst.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonSo, anyway, yeah, no, Andrew and I've been meaning to do one for ages.
Anna WilliamsonWe're meant to do it last year, actually.
Anna WilliamsonA good idea, and we didn't get time.
Anna WilliamsonSo, anyway, you go, yeah, it's not cheap, to be fair, but they do everything.
Anna WilliamsonSo you have a brain mri, chest mri, like stomach mri, like check your liver.
Anna WilliamsonHow long does it stuff takes all day.
Anna WilliamsonIt's like six, seven hours.
Lou HannahAnd you go to a private hospital.
Anna WilliamsonWill you go to a private clinic?
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonWhich is specific.
Lou HannahThis.
Anna WilliamsonSo they have doctors there, radiologists there, cardiologists.
Anna WilliamsonSo you have like radio.
Anna WilliamsonHad loads of ultrasound scans, had a smear test, had a breast check, blood test, proper body health scan, everything.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then you get your results like literally the same day.
Lou HannahAnd who.
Lou HannahAnd.
Lou HannahAnd do you have like one sort of consultant that delivers all that or do you have consultants for each thing that they've looked at?
Anna WilliamsonDo you have one doctor overall for the whole day?
Anna WilliamsonBut then you go to the specialist.
Anna WilliamsonSo I saw like the specialist radiologists, specialist cardiologist.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, well, we do like a fitness.
Lou HannahI mean, you.
Lou HannahYou say it's expensive.
Lou HannahI mean, and it is expensive.
Lou HannahHowever, and I think this, this comes down to like we talked about this.
Anna WilliamsonYou know, healthy as well.
Lou HannahAnd actually for me, I would honestly like give up a family holiday and give.
Lou HannahI would economize elsewhere in my life in order to.
Lou HannahYeah, make.
Lou HannahJust check my health is in good.
Lou HannahI want to be here for my kids.
Lou HannahSo to the top.
Anna WilliamsonTypical.
Lou HannahI think it's about choice in life.
Lou HannahNot always.
Lou HannahIf we're.
Lou HannahWe are fortunate enough to have choice, you and I, let's be fully transparent about that.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then they like do a whole body scan, like your muscle mass, all of that stuff.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, I would like to do a public service announcement for everyone that always says I'm too thin.
Lou HannahGo on.
Anna WilliamsonI am in healthy weight range and my BMI is healthy.
Lou HannahGood.
Anna WilliamsonMy body fat is low, but my weight is healthy.
Lou HannahDon't stop eating, guys.
Lou HannahTrust me, she's fine.
Anna WilliamsonWho doesn't want low body fat, right?
Anna WilliamsonBecause none of my organs have fat around them.
Anna WilliamsonSo my liver and everything.
Anna WilliamsonThe fat around my.
Anna WilliamsonSo healthy.
Anna WilliamsonI do have a slightly enlarged liver, which they said is very strange.
Lou HannahWhy is that?
Anna WilliamsonAnd my marina coil.
Anna WilliamsonThey've said stop.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, because I have no fat around my liver.
Anna WilliamsonLike literally like barely any.
Lou HannahAnd can you reverse that?
Lou HannahLike reverse the enlarging of the liver?
Anna WilliamsonThey said that they're not concerned.
Anna WilliamsonSo they then go, literally will consult with a liver specialist.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then he was like, oh, my clients.
Lou HannahAnd is this all under the same, like, fee you pay?
Lou HannahYeah, if you need any, like, so if something flags.
Lou HannahNo, if you do you have to pay extra then to get it.
Anna WilliamsonSo something like that, where it's an opinion.
Anna WilliamsonNo, he just asked the liver specialist, like, is this a concern?
Lou HannahRight.
Anna WilliamsonAnd the liver guy was like, no other things that flag.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, you then.
Anna WilliamsonSo, basically, anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am a healthy weight.
Anna WilliamsonSo can you please stop saying I'm too thin?
Anna WilliamsonIt's really annoying.
Anna WilliamsonAnd.
Lou HannahAnd if I was worried about her as well, I'd tell her.
Anna WilliamsonAlso, I know, like, where I'm always cold and stuff.
Anna WilliamsonGot low iron, which I kind of knew already.
Anna WilliamsonSo they then, like, give me a prescription for iron tablets or they make.
Lou HannahYou constipated because I had those after I had Enzo.
Anna WilliamsonAnnoying.
Anna WilliamsonI might just get.
Anna WilliamsonDo you remember I had an iron transfusion.
Lou HannahYeah, Yeah.
Anna WilliamsonI might just get another one of those.
Lou HannahWhen you get those sachets, the iron sachets.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonDo you remember we were sponsored by that iron company one.
Lou HannahI do take a lot of supplements.
Anna WilliamsonI.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not that good soul guard.
Lou HannahAnd this is not a massive plug.
Lou HannahEven though, full disclosure, I have done some work with Solga, but I do absolutely love.
Lou HannahThey're the gold.
Lou HannahYou know, the gold.
Lou HannahYou go in a pharmacy, you'll just see Solga supplements.
Lou HannahFantastic.
Lou HannahThey're amazing, honestly.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, anyway, so basically did all blood tests and that, Then my brain mri.
Anna WilliamsonThey, you know.
Anna WilliamsonDo you remember when sometimes I get migraines, but not that often.
Anna WilliamsonDo you remember when we meant to record that podcast of Lad Baby and Lab Baby Mum?
Anna WilliamsonAnd then I fell asleep because I had a migraine.
Anna WilliamsonEveryone was like.
Lou HannahWe were all sitting on it and I was ringing around half of Bl Start for Children.
Anna WilliamsonI was in, like, Dixie's bed asleep.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, so I've got like this white dot on my brain.
Anna WilliamsonAnd he was like, that's like white.
Anna WilliamsonWhite brain matter or something.
Anna WilliamsonBut he said, do you get migraines?
Anna WilliamsonAnd I was like, yeah.
Anna WilliamsonHe was like, we can see from this, like, white dot.
Anna WilliamsonHe said, it's nothing to be worried about, but there's nothing you can really do for it.
Anna WilliamsonBut I haven't got an aneurysm.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, go on.
Anna WilliamsonYou know, if you're a kind of OG Luthanian listener, you will know that we kind of had this running sick joke that I had throat cancer when.
Lou HannahI was a running.
Anna WilliamsonWhen I.
Anna WilliamsonSick joke when I kept losing my voice and I went to see an ENT and we had nodules.
Anna WilliamsonNodules, blah, blah.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, the ENT did, like, at the time, which was probably about four or five years ago now, put like a camera up my nose without me thinking that was going to happen that day.
Anna WilliamsonI looked at my throat, it was all fine.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, on the ultrasound, I have got nodules on my right thyroid and they rate them from one to five.
Anna WilliamsonOne being one is like fine.
Anna WilliamsonTwo, fine.
Anna WilliamsonFour, suspected cancer.
Anna WilliamsonFive, definite cancer.
Anna WilliamsonI am a three, so I might actually have throat cancer.
Lou HannahOkay.
Lou HannahI mean, let's, you know, let's.
Lou HannahOkay.
Anna WilliamsonI'm just saying.
Anna WilliamsonI am always psychic.
Lou HannahWell, don't be.
Lou HannahStop this nonsense.
Lou HannahNo, no, we've talked about it.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not that stressed about it.
Anna WilliamsonI think it's going to be fine.
Lou HannahBecause she's already told me this.
Lou Hannah3.
Anna WilliamsonThat's why she doesn't sound shocked.
Anna Williamson3.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, because I got all my stress out.
Lou HannahAnd then she did.
Lou HannahShe was like, I'm freaking out.
Lou HannahShe was like, what about the kids?
Lou HannahI'm gonna die.
Lou HannahI was gonna die.
Lou HannahAnd I was like, just calm down.
Lou HannahThis is normally me.
Lou HannahThat is the.
Lou HannahAnd I was.
Lou HannahAnd then my mate as well.
Lou HannahShe.
Lou HannahShe also got nodules.
Lou HannahShe's.
Anna WilliamsonShe's quite common.
Lou HannahShe says it's very common.
Lou HannahAnd.
Lou HannahAnd.
Lou HannahAnd apparently lots of people have them and don't know they've had them.
Lou HannahAnd.
Lou HannahAnd yeah, and even if she was told.
Lou HannahAnd this is not medical opinion, this is just what I've been told secondhand.
Lou HannahShe was told that even if it was something really bad, apparently it's a real slow grower and someone else will see you off before that would.
Lou HannahAnyway, is what she.
Anna WilliamsonProbably horse riding accident, so.
Lou HannahWell, there we go.
Lou HannahNow.
Lou HannahNow that's.
Lou HannahAnyway, not concerned, obviously, but good.
Anna WilliamsonSo referred me to this guy.
Anna WilliamsonI've got an appointment end of the week, so I'll see him, find out.
Anna WilliamsonThey said they'll just biopsy it.
Lou HannahBiopsy?
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonSounds a bit grim, the whole biopsy thing.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonBecause they numb your whole.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahOh, bless you.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then they like go in.
Lou HannahIn which?
Lou HannahThe mouth or through the neck?
Anna WilliamsonNo, through the neck with a needle.
Lou HannahYou'll be fine.
Anna WilliamsonThey apparently do loads of stabs.
Lou HannahIf you'll be numbed.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I'll be numbed.
Anna WilliamsonIt actually doesn't overly bother me anyway, so I had a better nose.
Lou HannahWe must.
Lou HannahGuys.
Lou HannahYou must do it.
Lou HannahGo on.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonDidn't realize they were gonna go up my fanny, did I?
Lou HannahCool.
Lou HannahYou should have.
Anna WilliamsonSo I wasn't that prep.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I've had laser, so I'm never that hairy.
Lou HannahHad you washed?
Anna WilliamsonYeah, that was the Hoffman I had washed.
Anna WilliamsonObviously I had to wash that morning.
Lou HannahNo waft going on there.
Anna WilliamsonLike, I was like, oh, like, bit unprepared for this.
Anna WilliamsonSo there I am.
Anna WilliamsonTake the pants off behind the Curtain.
Anna WilliamsonHave a little look of white matter in there.
Anna WilliamsonSo I'm all right.
Anna WilliamsonSpitting on my hand, trying to.
Anna WilliamsonTrying to rub it a bit before.
Anna WilliamsonGet the white bit.
Lou HannahI like to call that the smudge.
Lou HannahIt's the vag smudge.
Lou HannahDo you know what I mean?
Lou HannahIt's a bit pasty.
Lou HannahIt's sort of week two of.
Lou HannahWeek two of.
Lou HannahOf your ovulation process.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I was trying to do it really quickly so that, like, they didn't think, what is she doing back there?
Lou HannahI find.
Anna WilliamsonRub it.
Anna WilliamsonTrying to get all the little bits.
Lou HannahWhen Mia from Aquatox does my laser and I take my pants off, I do something.
Anna WilliamsonThey give you like baby wipes first?
Lou HannahWell, yeah, but sometimes I get really worried that Mia's gonna see the smudge in my pants.
Lou HannahSo I sort of try to kick them under the table or put them in my bag.
Anna WilliamsonNo, but mine was like a little bit of whitey around the innie.
Lou HannahOh, she would.
Lou HannahAll right.
Lou HannahOkay.
Anna WilliamsonSo it wasn't great anyway.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I had washed that morning.
Anna WilliamsonJudgment babes like nervous secretion.
Lou HannahNervous secretion it was.
Anna WilliamsonSo basically, then some crust around the old smear.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I haven't got the results of that yet.
Lou HannahWhen was the last time you had a smear?
Anna WilliamsonTwo years ago.
Lou HannahOh, fine.
Lou HannahSo you're.
Lou HannahYeah, yeah, I had my smear recently.
Anna WilliamsonDid my boobs.
Anna WilliamsonBut I'm, you know, I am quite an awkward person sometimes.
Anna WilliamsonSo they had to get a chaperone in because that's their rules.
Lou HannahSure, that's everywhere.
Anna WilliamsonLovely young girl comes in.
Anna WilliamsonShe only 24.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I was like, oh, don't tell me.
Lou HannahShe was a new funny.
Anna WilliamsonAnd.
Anna WilliamsonNo, she.
Lou HannahOr she wouldn't have said.
Anna WilliamsonShe didn't say what she was.
Anna WilliamsonNo.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then there I am, my tits out.
Anna WilliamsonIt's feeling the tits.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I was like, oh, hope I haven't got hairy nipples.
Anna WilliamsonLike, why do I say these things?
Lou HannahI mean.
Anna WilliamsonI mean, why did I say that?
Anna WilliamsonAnd then there's like this awkward laughter from everyone and me just feeling like, why, Louisa, why?
Anna WilliamsonAnd then like, he's there between my legs and I went off not prepared for this.
Anna WilliamsonOr my legs are a bit crusty.
Anna WilliamsonThey're not very shaven.
Anna WilliamsonYou know, like when you get all dry legs and they look like scaly skin.
Lou HannahI just kept on playing things.
Lou HannahIt's filling.
Lou HannahIt's filling the awkward silence with the prattle.
Anna WilliamsonIt's just even more awkward.
Lou HannahI do exactly the same thing.
Lou HannahAwkward when I had.
Lou HannahWhen.
Lou HannahEspecially when someone has their hand up your vag.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahI mean we are a bit more used to it since having babies.
Lou HannahBut even still, when I recently had my smear and had me old cyst, the V cyst checked and they stuck that wand up, you know the wand ultrasound thing again.
Lou HannahYou just find yourself just prattling absolute.
Lou HannahI know you know about your vag.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I've got a sister on my ovary.
Anna WilliamsonThis is.
Anna WilliamsonThat's nothing to worry about.
Lou HannahOkay, well that's fine.
Anna WilliamsonSo very informative.
Anna WilliamsonI mean you could see the bulges are still in my back and bulge in my neck and I knew that cuz my neck's been hurting.
Lou HannahSo.
Lou HannahSo other than just getting this little, little nodule cyst checked out, we are a full bill of health.
Anna WilliamsonI'm full bit of health.
Lou HannahThat's it, baby.
Anna WilliamsonSo there you go.
Lou HannahOkay, well we look forward to.
Anna WilliamsonAlso good, good eyes.
Anna WilliamsonThey check your eyes.
Anna WilliamsonHearing test.
Anna WilliamsonVery good hearing.
Anna WilliamsonI knew I had good hearing.
Anna WilliamsonI hear everything.
Anna WilliamsonI can hear like if I'm in a restaurant, I hear everybody else's conversations.
Anna WilliamsonI'd make a good spy who actually would.
Anna WilliamsonAlthough I'm quite obvious person.
Lou HannahSo maybe not quite obvious and you'd probably be quite confrontational.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, so that, that's my news of the week.
Anna WilliamsonI have got, well, big news.
Anna WilliamsonI have got nodules which we have suspected for six years.
Anna WilliamsonAnd so basically now I'm like a doctor.
Anna WilliamsonI mean and a psychic, I would say.
Lou HannahI say you may as well just go and get that, that little hat they stick on you.
Lou HannahAnd the doctorate and the scroll now, babes.
Anna WilliamsonWell listen, I want one of those.
Anna WilliamsonDo you think that we could black.
Anna WilliamsonI really want a degree because I.
Lou HannahNever want an honorary degree in services to psychotherapy.
Anna WilliamsonI want an honorary honorary degree in anything.
Anna WilliamsonI actually don't care what it is, anything.
Anna WilliamsonI just want to have one.
Lou HannahBe nice, wouldn't it?
Lou HannahMaybe that could be.
Anna WilliamsonWe've got some uni person that listens to this.
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahHow can we get an honorary degree?
Lou HannahYeah, I mean I'm always seeing celebs getting some honorary degree from somewhere for doing something.
Anna WilliamsonWhat have they done?
Anna WilliamsonNot a lot.
Lou HannahI mean they might have probably done quite a lot but.
Lou HannahWell, listen, as always with Luana, you know, we like to bring our, our issues to you.
Lou HannahI mean, I'd be vag sis got that checked.
Lou HannahWe are fine.
Lou HannahWe're now going to get that one checked.
Lou HannahSo this is a little reminder to everybody.
Lou HannahDon't let your health go.
Lou HannahYou've got to prioritize.
Anna WilliamsonI'll be able to Update on the next pod because very quickly it happens.
Lou HannahAnd I want to just get booked in for these.
Lou HannahI want to get.
Lou HannahHonestly.
Anna WilliamsonSo I know the cardiologist there, so I did get a 15.
Lou HannahDid you?
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I honestly, I said this for you.
Anna WilliamsonYou and I should both go.
Anna WilliamsonAneurysm or something.
Anna WilliamsonYou don't know.
Anna WilliamsonThat's how young people drop down.
Lou HannahAnd, and also, you know, it sounds really morbid but, you know, there are in both sides of our families, you know, premature deaths that have gone on, you know, due to certain, you know, things.
Lou HannahAnd I think it's important to know and you know, if you can afford it.
Lou HannahObviously it's a lot of money, but I'm a big believer in, you know, robbing Peter to pay Paul, you know, and if it means we economize.
Anna WilliamsonShe's a pauper, guys.
Anna WilliamsonLoaded.
Lou HannahShe always keeps saying this.
Lou HannahHonestly, she's never seen my bank account.
Lou HannahNo, but.
Lou HannahNo, but I'm.
Lou HannahI feel quite strongly about that.
Lou HannahMy parents have always said, no, you should go.
Anna WilliamsonIt'd be really good for your.
Lou HannahBut it would be really good for my hypochondria.
Lou HannahBut I think if you can.
Lou HannahI mean, I appreciate, you know, people are having a penny pinch a lot nowadays, but you know, if you can.
Lou HannahI think it's always important.
Lou HannahWell, listen, I've had a great week.
Lou HannahLast week I was away, I was doing a little, A little event that I always do.
Lou HannahI want to just quick shout out to a lot of Luffanians that I met who, who were absolutely hilarious and actually every time I walked up to them, they would actually go like.
Lou HannahAnd it was, I mean, very sweet, very sweet.
Lou HannahAnd they kept over apologizing for, you know, being fans of this, of the show.
Lou HannahWe love it.
Lou HannahWe bloody love it.
Lou HannahSo hello to Nick, Nicole, Louise, Claire.
Anna WilliamsonHello there.
Lou HannahThere were loads of man fans that were coming up to me, Andy.
Lou HannahThere were loads, loads of wonderful people.
Anna WilliamsonWe love that.
Lou HannahHonestly, it was.
Lou HannahIt was really great to see everyone also.
Lou HannahAlso a little bit.
Lou HannahI've just had to quickly check because I wanted to do a little a thank you to Emily from Bracknell.
Lou HannahOkay.
Lou HannahA couple of weeks ago she was on our.
Lou HannahLuana totally obviously is on Thursdays.

Lou HannahAlso.
Lou HannahSo, yeah, Emily from Brackenock in Totally Extra the other week, she talked about being fed up with rude people.
Lou HannahIt was the checkout person, you know, when they.
Lou HannahWhen they just ignore you.
Lou HannahAnd.
Lou HannahAnd actually she inspired me this week because we like to do.
Lou HannahAnd I just wanted to say thank you for this.
Lou HannahWhen a rant inspires.
Lou HannahBecause I went to going.
Lou HannahBut we like to do family tea on a Friday or a Saturday night, whatever.
Anna WilliamsonBonding.
Lou HannahBonding with the fudge.
Lou HannahHave a game of Uno over tea and all that.
Lou HannahAnd we like to.
Lou HannahAlex, like, let's go to Turkish.
Lou HannahWe're like a Turkish.
Lou HannahBecause kids enjoy it.
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahAnd the kids enjoy Turkish as well.
Lou HannahBrilliant.
Lou HannahSo there's a couple near where we live.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahSo I'll ring one of them up, pick up.
Lou HannahGuy picks up the phone.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahThis is the conversation.
Anna WilliamsonBaited breath.
Anna WilliamsonRing, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring.
Lou HannahHe answers.
Lou HannahYeah, that's him.
Anna WilliamsonWhat?
Lou HannahAnd I was like, oh, hello.
Lou HannahIs that blah, blah, blah.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonOh, and then he's got there.
Lou HannahThen I thought my.
Lou HannahMy heels sort of dug in.
Anna WilliamsonDid you think, I don't want to order from you now?
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahWell, this is it.
Lou HannahSo then I went.
Lou HannahAnd I went, can I please book a table for, you know, dinner?
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonOh.
Lou HannahSo I waited.
Lou HannahAnd he went, I'm listening.
Lou HannahHe said.
Lou HannahSo I then was like, okay, it's for four of us.
Lou HannahName, you know, 4, 30.
Lou HannahYep.
Lou HannahOkay.
Lou HannahAnd then put the phone down.
Lou HannahFive minutes later, I thought, no, no.
Anna WilliamsonOh, you've taken a stand against me.
Anna WilliamsonI've taken a set about Emily from Bracknell.
Lou HannahI called him straight back up again.
Lou HannahObviously checked with the other Turkish.
Lou HannahThey had room.
Lou HannahSo rang up the other Turkish.
Lou HannahVery Nice.
Lou HannahBooked us a table.
Lou HannahI'm not giving, I'm not giving you our pennies and our pounds service.
Lou HannahNo, you've lost us, mate.
Anna WilliamsonMate.
Lou HannahSo I thought again, I am going to always judge myself by my own standards.
Lou HannahI could have just ghosted them and not bothered bringing back together.
Lou HannahI didn't because that's not who I am.
Anna WilliamsonNo, you wanted to tell him he was a rude.
Lou HannahBasically, yeah.
Lou HannahBut also, you know, I'm going to live by my own standards and values.
Lou HannahSo I rang him back up and I said, I just booked a table five minutes ago, I'd actually like to cancel it.
Lou HannahHe was like, all right.
Lou HannahAnd I said, I'm not going to tell you why.
Anna WilliamsonOh.
Lou HannahI said, because you were incredibly rude, incredibly unwelcoming.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahFrankly, it's a lot of money to take your family out for tea.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahLike, you're dropping 100 quid by the time you've all had, you know, starters drinks and all that, that's what you're doing.
Lou HannahAnd I went, I'm taking my money elsewhere.
Lou HannahSo I'm afraid you have lost a customer every Saturday for life.
Anna WilliamsonAnd what did he say?
Lou HannahNot a lot.
Lou HannahAll right.
Lou HannahRight.
Lou HannahSo anyway, thank you, Emily, because you reminded me we don't need to tolerate Rudy.
Anna WilliamsonNo, we don't.
Lou HannahYou need to vote with your feet and go, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Anna WilliamsonSo there we are, talking about voting.
Anna WilliamsonTrump's in.
Lou HannahI know.
Lou HannahGod.
Lou HannahI mean, him doing that dancing of the ymca, I didn't see that job.
Lou HannahI mean, I mean, I'm sort of weirdly here for all the novishes.
Lou HannahThe novishness.
Lou HannahLike, I'm not here for him, but I'm here for the novishness.
Anna WilliamsonBut there's something about his personality that I kind of like.
Lou HannahI, I, I don't.
Lou HannahBut I just find him hilarious.
Anna WilliamsonLook, he is.
Anna WilliamsonNo, Boris, let's be honest, it's just.
Lou HannahAlan Partridge all over.
Lou HannahEverything he does is just a meme, as you say.
Lou HannahAnd then you've got all these people, then, like, these die hard.
Lou HannahOh, my God.
Lou HannahHe's like, jesus, he's gotta save the world.
Lou HannahAnd I'm like, all right, Sandy from Wisconsin, you go, girl.
Lou HannahHe's gotta say.
Lou HannahHe's like, jesus has got in.
Lou HannahWe've got the Savior.
Lou HannahAnd I'm like, go.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then Elon Musk with his old salute.
Lou HannahI mean, it's all going on.
Anna WilliamsonThat, that was a bit like, why would you do that?
Anna WilliamsonEven if you're.
Anna WilliamsonDid you see Elon Musk's Nazi salute.
Lou HannahNo, sorry.
Anna WilliamsonHave you not seen this?
Lou HannahNo.
Lou HannahWhen did he do that?
Anna WilliamsonI have to show you.
Lou HannahOh, give me that.
Lou HannahOh, my gosh, if that isn't.
Anna WilliamsonNo, I mean, that's.
Anna WilliamsonNo, you don't.
Lou HannahI mean, that is canceled, surely.
Anna WilliamsonWell, it's.
Lou HannahCan I just say once.
Lou HannahI remember once doing that as a joke in front of my grandma.
Anna WilliamsonDid she go.
Lou HannahShe went nuts.
Lou HannahI.
Lou HannahWe were learning about it at school and I went and did a Nazi slew when Harl Hitler.
Lou HannahAnd she literally nearly, like, slapped me around the face.
Lou HannahAnd she was like, your granddad nearly died in the war.
Lou HannahI remember thinking, geez, I didn't understand.
Lou HannahI didn't understand the political landscape back then when I was nine.
Lou HannahOh, wow.
Lou HannahOh, wow.
Anna WilliamsonSo when you see that.
Lou HannahSo she showed me a picture of Elon Musk doing a proper, like, yeah, fascist salute.
Anna WilliamsonSo when you see that, that's bad.
Anna WilliamsonBut can I put it into context?
Anna WilliamsonSo people are seeing this on Instagram that are so bad.
Anna WilliamsonBy the way, I'm not an Elon Musk fan.
Anna WilliamsonI actually don't really give a.
Anna WilliamsonAbout him either way.
Anna WilliamsonBut he was like, I give you my heart.
Lou HannahOh, is that what it is?
Anna WilliamsonSo he's taken his heart and, like, thrown it out.
Anna WilliamsonAnd that was scream, grant, scream, grab.
Lou HannahScream, grab.
Anna WilliamsonThat was how he said it.
Anna WilliamsonHe was like, thank you, thank you.
Anna WilliamsonI give you my heart.
Anna WilliamsonI give you my heart.
Anna WilliamsonSo it's like grabbing his heart and throwing it out to the audience, like in this giving heart.
Anna WilliamsonAnd people are now screen grabbed the whole boom, boom.
Anna WilliamsonAnd cut what he said before.
Anna WilliamsonSo it looks like he's doing a Nazi slit now then the, like, you know, not glitterati.
Anna WilliamsonWhat's it called?
Lou HannahLiterati.
Anna WilliamsonNo, Illuminati.
Lou HannahIlluminati.
Anna WilliamsonThey're all like, oh, this is like.
Anna WilliamsonHe is, like, doing the Nazi salute and this is the.
Anna WilliamsonThe end and blah, blah.
Anna WilliamsonSo there's all these differing opinions.
Anna WilliamsonThere's been so much going around, whirling around.
Anna WilliamsonElon, was he just throwing his heart out?
Anna WilliamsonWas it a Nazi?
Anna WilliamsonOr was it like, oh, wow, it's all kicked off.
Anna WilliamsonBut America is giving us a lot of memes at the minute and.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I am kind of here for it, but I am sorry for Americans.
Lou HannahSome.
Lou HannahSome.
Lou HannahYeah, yeah.
Lou HannahI mean, o.
Anna WilliamsonCome on, though.
Anna WilliamsonBiden was about to die.
Anna WilliamsonHe had no brain left.
Lou HannahI mean.
Anna WilliamsonNah, he was a bit of a weirdo, too.
Lou HannahI was watching one about with Baron Trump also.
Lou HannahThey wish to be rude.
Lou HannahThis is not me being rude.
Lou HannahTrump's kid, the 18 year old boy, he looks like grew from despicable.
Lou HannahMe four.
Anna WilliamsonI actually know who I thought they are.
Lou HannahHe literally looks like.
Anna WilliamsonBecause I saw this weird looking kid.
Lou HannahLike he looks like gruff from Despicable.
Lou HannahNow you know I've said it right.
Lou HannahYou can't unsee it, can you?
Lou HannahYou can't, can you see, you heard it here first.
Lou HannahIt is.
Lou HannahI know.
Anna WilliamsonIs that Melania's son then?
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahShe looks pretty good to be fair.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, we need her surgeon.
Anna WilliamsonAdd her to the list.
Lou HannahI mean, Melania is looking good.
Anna WilliamsonSienna Miller, have you seen her recently?
Lou HannahYes.
Lou HannahOh, I mean there's some, there's some good.
Lou HannahThere's some good work going on.
Lou HannahAllegedly.
Lou HannahThey might do.
Lou HannahWe don't know if they do.
Anna WilliamsonThese women a gatekeeping from us normal peasants.
Anna WilliamsonI wanna live like common.
Lou HannahHow is, how is living like a common person?
Anna WilliamsonGangly after last week, it's going well.
Lou HannahYeah, that's the common thing.
Lou HannahYou've done this.
Lou HannahWell, your kids are going to the supermarket today, so well done.
Anna WilliamsonTomorrow.
Lou HannahTomorrow.
Anna WilliamsonSo not with me.
Lou HannahTheir big outing of the week.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, they're going.
Lou HannahHello, children.
Lou HannahCome and see how common folk live.
Anna WilliamsonNo, Dixie's going to supermarket with her friends because she's having a little weekend.
Lou HannahThey'll need a pound.
Anna WilliamsonShe's coming, she's having a staycation with her friends and they're going to live in the cottage for the weekend so they're allowed to go to Tesco and get some snacks.
Lou HannahGive her a pound for the trolley.
Lou HannahYeah, you'll need that.
Anna WilliamsonNo, not in our Tesco.
Lou HannahOh, no, it's a posture.
Anna WilliamsonDon't charge you.
Anna WilliamsonYou know when you're somewhere rough, when you get charged for the trolleys, don't you?
Anna WilliamsonYou do know that's how you.
Anna WilliamsonYou can class the supermarket by whether you have to bring your little trolley.
Lou HannahToken and whether they lock up meat behind fridge, behind padlocks.
Lou HannahNow, it's a big thing now, shoplifting, lock up meat and alcohol.
Lou HannahI mean, that's quite.
Lou HannahI suppose alcohol.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, that's always happened.
Lou HannahNo, some, some high baby formula.
Anna WilliamsonBig, big, big issue with shoplifting.
Lou HannahBig, big issue.
Anna WilliamsonWell, there's a big issue because they can't do anything.
Anna WilliamsonThey have their security and they're actually not allowed to touch people.
Lou HannahWell, I think we touched on this the other way.
Lou HannahThey've pretty much decriminalized.
Lou HannahYeah, shoplifting now.
Lou HannahAnyway, we have.
Lou HannahAnyway, listen, I say let's stick with us at Luana and we'll bring the jazz.
Lou HannahRight?
Lou HannahI don't Know why she's put massage.
Anna WilliamsonOkay, so let's just carry.
Lou HannahWe'll move on.
Anna WilliamsonI know because of my weird massage in Dubai, but we'll talk about that another time.
Lou HannahOkay, Fine.
Anna WilliamsonYes.
Anna WilliamsonRemember that.
Lou HannahI do.
Lou HannahRight.
Lou HannahDo you want.
Lou HannahWe'll.
Lou HannahWe'll keep people hanging on for that.
Anna WilliamsonWe'll keep you hanging.
Lou HannahWe'll keep hanging for that.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I tried to get you to go and have fun, and then you didn't.
Anna WilliamsonYou should have done that was out of order.
Anna WilliamsonYou put me through that ordeal.
Lou HannahI'll let you down.
Anna WilliamsonOh, I've got an update on it.
Anna WilliamsonOkay.
Anna WilliamsonI'm gonna tell you next week.
Lou HannahOkay.
Lou HannahTell next week.
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, it's time for.
Lou HannahDid you know without him.
Anna WilliamsonCould I just say.
Anna WilliamsonWe didn't rehearse that.
Lou HannahThis is how in sync we are now, Lou.
Lou HannahLike I am.
Lou HannahI'm freaking myself out.
Lou HannahAlinor as well.
Anna WilliamsonWe just.
Lou HannahIs there a double act like us?
Lou HannahNo.
Lou HannahNo, there really isn't.
Lou HannahWe dress the same.
Anna WilliamsonWe sound the same.
Anna WilliamsonWe've got the same socks.
Lou HannahWe don't have the same gunt.
Anna WilliamsonMine is called size of My husband's A dog.
Lou HannahA dog.
Anna WilliamsonWe swap sperm.
Lou HannahI've given you my husband's sperm in your coffee this morning.
Anna WilliamsonOh, don't.
Anna WilliamsonThat made me sick.
Anna WilliamsonRight?
Anna WilliamsonElephants weigh less than the tongue of a blue whale.
Lou HannahGood Lord.
Anna WilliamsonAnd a blue whale's heart is the size of a car.
Lou HannahI mean, that's huge.
Lou HannahThat's a lot of love.
Lou HannahA lot of love from a whale.
Anna WilliamsonOh, that is a lot of love.
Anna WilliamsonBlue whales are the largest creatures to ever roam the Earth.
Lou HannahDo you want a whale?
Anna WilliamsonYeah, you do.
Lou HannahYou are our very own Veruca Salt.
Lou HannahDo you want a whale?
Anna WilliamsonWhale?
Lou HannahPop a little whale in the lake.
Anna WilliamsonNo, it wouldn't fit, would it?
Lou HannahProbably wouldn't fit, babes.
Anna WilliamsonNo.
Anna WilliamsonIt'll be too shallow.
Lou HannahBig.
Lou HannahBig.
Lou HannahYou know when you see.
Anna WilliamsonSometimes I like an animal fat, you know?
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahYou know, like on reels where you see, like, I get really freaked out when I see, like, you know, paddle borders and then.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahMassive way.
Anna WilliamsonI know.
Lou HannahI'm like.
Lou HannahI would actually die of a panic attack.
Anna WilliamsonI would.
Anna WilliamsonI would.
Lou HannahFor real.
Anna WilliamsonBecause I don't really like the sea.
Lou HannahI hate the sea.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonI'm a land mammal.
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahI can't do that.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I like doing lamb mammal things.
Lou HannahI can't even go on donuts anymore.
Lou HannahYou know, like when you go, oh.
Anna WilliamsonI can go on that.
Anna WilliamsonRemember when I can water ski?
Lou HannahYou know, we went when we got.
Anna WilliamsonA yacht this year.
Anna WilliamsonOh, by the way, guys, we're going.
Lou HannahOn a yacht again.
Lou HannahYeah, we said that.
Anna WilliamsonWell, are you gonna do the.
Anna WilliamsonAre you gonna do the.
Lou HannahThe jet?
Anna WilliamsonThat's a big slide on this.
Lou HannahYeah, I know, I know.
Lou HannahI'll do that.
Lou HannahAnd also, you know, when we did like last time, you got those little rocket things you hold on to, then they like buzz you around.
Lou HannahI don't mind if I keep moving in the water.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, because then you' It's.
Lou HannahYeah, exactly.
Lou HannahI'm fine if I'm doing that.
Lou HannahOtherwise then I freak out.
Anna WilliamsonMaybe we should do a podcast Live from the yacht.
Lou HannahThat would be quite fun.
Lou HannahWe've got Lucy there.
Lou HannahLucy Cave from Lorraine.
Lou HannahShe could be our heat man, our producer.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, well, we could do like some kind of live stream thing for our YouTube.
Lou HannahLet's do that live.
Anna WilliamsonNot live.
Lou HannahLet's do that.
Lou HannahThat would be really fun.
Anna WilliamsonWe should do a little drunk 21 questions with.
Anna WilliamsonWe've done that before.
Lou HannahGuys.
Lou HannahWe're also really excited today because we've got a Luana announcement.
Lou HannahYou may have seen it as we just.
Lou HannahJust cunningly dropped it over the weekend, but we have listened to you, loads of you, enjoyed the big festive night in and we've got Valentine's coming up in a couple of weeks.
Lou HannahYou know what we thought.
Lou HannahYou know what?
Lou HannahLove is in the air.

Lou HannahSo we are exclusively hosting the big Galentine's night in.
Lou HannahIt's going to be on Thursday 13th February, 8pm Fully interactive.
Lou HannahLots of fun, lots of games.

Lou HannahJust embrace your mates, embrace us, and if you want to get your tickets to come and join us, please get them right now.
Lou HannahAll you have to do is go to everythingluana.com or Luanna Live and we'll see you there.
Anna WilliamsonRight, we've got a message from Anonymous.
Anna WilliamsonI called you, Pat.
Anna WilliamsonCurry Sauce confession from the Secret Santa.
Anna WilliamsonOh.
Lou HannahOh, my God.
Lou HannahOh, my God.
Lou HannahThis is the update of the update that we've all been waiting for.
Lou HannahGuys.
Anna WilliamsonMy God.
Lou HannahGuys.
Anna WilliamsonOkay.
Lou HannahThis is the update of the update of the Curry sauce woman that went viral.
Lou HannahYou need to listen to the rest of this episode.
Anna WilliamsonBasically a little bit of history.
Anna WilliamsonWe had a thing in Viro from Viro.
Anna WilliamsonMessage from a lady that went viral.
Anna WilliamsonShe makes.
Anna WilliamsonBeen making this curry for her family for 20 years.
Anna WilliamsonThey think it's Amazing.
Anna WilliamsonIt's actually a shop bought curry sauce.
Lou HannahAnd she's of Indian heritage, so it's a really big deal.
Anna WilliamsonReally big deal.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonSo then for Christmas, their family had a secret Santa and she got a jar of the exact curry sauce which from her sister in law.
Anna WilliamsonShe then wrote into us and was like, think I've been rumbled.
Anna WilliamsonThis is now.
Lou HannahShe didn't know it was this.
Lou HannahShe suspected it was because it was Secret Santa.
Anna WilliamsonShe didn't know who it was.
Lou HannahFor real.
Anna WilliamsonRight, here we.
Anna WilliamsonHere we go.
Anna WilliamsonThe update.
Anna WilliamsonTo the update.
Anna WilliamsonTo the update.
Anna WilliamsonHi, ladies.
Anna WilliamsonOh my God.
Anna WilliamsonWhere do I start?
Anna WilliamsonI've been forced to email in as I'm scared.
Anna WilliamsonWhat?
Anna WilliamsonMarcia?
Anna WilliamsonIt was actually Miriam, but Marcia is catchy.
Anna WilliamsonThe curry lady will do next.
Anna WilliamsonOur next family curry night is on Friday 31st January.
Anna WilliamsonSo I hope my sister in law hears this before then and it's just happened.
Anna WilliamsonHer technology skills are as good as her cooking skills.
Lou HannahOh, it's happening this week.
Lou HannahIt's happening this week.
Anna WilliamsonShit.
Anna WilliamsonSo I don't think I will be rumbling an extravagant reveal as I type this.
Anna WilliamsonThe Taylor Swift song.
Anna WilliamsonLook what you made me do is playing round and around in my head.
Anna WilliamsonMarcia, look what you made me do.
Anna WilliamsonI'm really sorry and we love you, but you outed yourself.
Lou HannahHere we go.
Anna WilliamsonOkay, deep breath, breath.
Anna WilliamsonHere's the thing.
Lou HannahWhat?
Anna WilliamsonYes, yes, it was me who gave you the curry sauce at Christmas.
Anna WilliamsonI was intrigued if you would spill then.
Anna WilliamsonEspecially after I sent you the podcast episode.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I have to say, you lied like a pro.
Anna WilliamsonThe thing is.
Anna WilliamsonThis is so good.
Lou HannahMy God, this is so good.
Anna WilliamsonThe thing is, it's much, much worse than you lying to my brother for 20 years.
Lou HannahOh my God.
Lou HannahHere we go.
Anna WilliamsonHere goes.
Anna WilliamsonAnd please don't hate me.
Anna WilliamsonRewind back to May 2004.
Anna WilliamsonI remember the date as it's also your official anniversary.
Lou HannahGo on.
Anna WilliamsonMy brother was really excited to go to your flat as you were cooking him dinner.
Anna WilliamsonHe called me the next day to ask for advice.
Anna WilliamsonHe said the evening went really well and you had made a curry.
Anna WilliamsonThe dilemma he had was when he went to take the empty wine bottle to the bin, he noticed.
Anna WilliamsonOh, my empty glass, jar of curry sauce at the bottom.
Anna WilliamsonHe didn't know why, but he lifted it out of the bin and had a sniff.
Anna WilliamsonYep, it was the same smell that he'd just eaten.
Lou HannahStop it.
Anna WilliamsonThinking how funny it was and assumed that you would fess up.
Anna WilliamsonHe came back to the table and ask you more questions to see if.
Lou HannahYou would complain it's like an ITV who done its psychological drama, but instead.
Anna WilliamsonYou gave an Oscar performance about the history of this.
Anna WilliamsonAbout the history of this recipe.
Anna WilliamsonAnd the evening ended with you inviting my brother's family over to try your family's secret recipe passed down by generations of women.
Anna WilliamsonOh, my God.
Anna WilliamsonThe joke's on her.
Anna WilliamsonIt's been on her.
Anna WilliamsonShe's been.
Lou HannahKeep going, Lou.
Lou HannahNever have I been so excited about a message on Luanna.
Anna WilliamsonHe was asking me advice what to do as he was really quite concerned about how much detail you gave about the curry and that it was this secret family recipe.
Anna WilliamsonHe felt awkward, so he went along with it as he really liked you.
Anna WilliamsonHe didn't want to cause you any upset in your new relationship at the time.
Anna WilliamsonI advised him to go along with it as I'm sure once you got to know each other better, you would confess.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not sure how the curry night became a regular thing and my brother and I went along with the story to our parents who still don't know about the recipe being passed down for generations.
Lou HannahThey don't know, but they know.
Anna WilliamsonThey know they know and she doesn't know that they know.
Anna WilliamsonThey know and they've known the whole time.
Lou HannahThey've all been.
Anna WilliamsonHe knew before the lie.
Lou HannahThey've all been playing this out for 20 years.
Anna WilliamsonThis is brilliant.
Anna WilliamsonOver the years, we've wondered if either of you would tell or if we would tell you that we knew.
Anna WilliamsonThe biggest giveaway is we know you can't cook.
Anna WilliamsonPlease imagine what I write next is like the tick tock suspect on the right, which we did on our Suspect made a roast chicken dinner and didn't take the chicken out of the plastic packaging whilst cooking it.
Anna WilliamsonSuspect insisted that the bottom tray of the Viennetta ice cream was chocolate and spent far too long trying to slice through it until accepted it was plastic, not chocolate.
Anna WilliamsonSuspect should have shares in toaster companies as she has set on fire at least five toasters in the last five years.
Anna WilliamsonSuspect attempts to make homemade bread.
Anna WilliamsonIt was like a brick.
Anna WilliamsonAnd was even rejected by the birds and the pigeons who eat anything.
Anna WilliamsonSo my brother and I decided a long time ago to just never say anything as at least the shop brought curry sauce was edible.
Lou HannahSome are very nice.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonAlthough can you please stop putting.
Lou HannahOh, that is so tricky.
Lou HannahSavage.
Anna WilliamsonCan you please stop putting bloody bananas in it?
Anna WilliamsonAnd when we first read this story, Anna, we were like, oh.
Lou HannahOh.
Lou HannahShe was really proud of the bananas.
Lou HannahIt's the one thing she put in of a Patak sauce or whatever she uses.
Anna WilliamsonThey don't like the bananas.
Lou HannahThey don't like the bananas, babes.
Anna WilliamsonRight.
Anna WilliamsonSo your sister in law goes on to say.
Anna WilliamsonWe promise not to tell my mum and dad your dirty little secret.
Anna WilliamsonYou dirty pig.
Lou HannahDirty.
Anna WilliamsonIf you also forgive us for enabling.
Anna WilliamsonYou're over.
Anna WilliamsonThis is just so good.
Anna WilliamsonEnabling.
Anna WilliamsonYour over exaggerating preparation of your curry for 20 years.
Anna WilliamsonNow you will have so much time on your hands.
Anna WilliamsonDo us all a favour and sign up for a cooking class.
Anna WilliamsonPerhaps that will be next year's Christmas present.
Lou HannahThis is a great family.
Anna WilliamsonPlease keep me anon and call me Pat.
Lou HannahYes.
Anna WilliamsonAfter the infamous Pataks curry.
Lou HannahThat's what it was all along.
Anna WilliamsonCan I just say.
Anna WilliamsonCan I put this out there?
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonCan we get Mrs.
Anna WilliamsonPatak or some other kind of Indian cooking influencer to come to Luana hq?
Anna WilliamsonI want to invite this woman.
Lou HannahYes.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I want her to do it for our YouTube cook.
Anna WilliamsonHim.
Lou HannahDo you know what?
Lou HannahI can't remember her name.
Lou HannahThere's a very lovely lady that I did a cooking course.
Lou HannahIndian Chef.
Anna WilliamsonSee, we're gonna.
Lou HannahWe'll put this out there.
Anna WilliamsonNo.
Anna WilliamsonThe MasterChef.
Anna WilliamsonAnd she cooked at my friend Etti's dinner party.
Anna WilliamsonShe's a.
Anna WilliamsonShe's a Luana.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I'm really sorry I can't remember your name.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I've met you and you've cooked for me.
Anna WilliamsonI'm pretty sure it was MasterChef.
Anna WilliamsonYou're on.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I know that you listen to Luanna if you do and you're willing to come to my house and do a cooking lesson for.
Anna WilliamsonWe don't know where this lady is in the country.
Lou HannahBut we'll make this happen.
Anna WilliamsonWe're gonna make this happen for our YouTube.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, we would.
Anna WilliamsonWhat?
Anna WilliamsonWho are you?
Anna WilliamsonWhat should I.
Anna WilliamsonWho are you?
Anna WilliamsonWhat's your name?
Anna WilliamsonPlease write into IMO or send me a DM'd.
Anna WilliamsonEach other.
Lou HannahYes.
Anna WilliamsonWe want to get you and we want to do a cooking.
Anna WilliamsonAnd we' the sister in law too.
Lou HannahWith a proper Indian chef that can help you cook an actual proper curry from scratch.
Anna WilliamsonWe then need to blend together the initial viral story with the second one with this one with the cooking and make it into a whole episode.
Anna WilliamsonThis is basically of indie Indian fashions.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonIndian Confessions from a Indian Family.
Lou HannahThis is probably like this is your life.
Lou HannahAnd you know what?
Lou HannahWe want to see this through right until the end.
Lou HannahYou sound like a great family.
Lou HannahThe fact that you can have that.
Lou HannahThis great.
Anna WilliamsonThere is nothing better than an Indian family.
Anna WilliamsonWhen I lived in Derby, all our neighbors were Indian and we had the best crack with all these Indian neighbors.
Lou HannahI've got an idea.
Lou HannahSorry, I've just realized I don't know her personally but my friend, you'll know who is as well.
Lou HannahDr.
Lou HannahAmir Khan.
Lou HannahWho is the doctor on the telly.
Lou HannahDoes you know all the morning shows.
Lou HannahBut he always goes on about Mama Khan and I know Amy.
Lou HannahI could even text Amir if you want.
Lou HannahNow, Mama Khan, his.
Lou HannahHis mom is quite famous on his Instagram for being.
Lou HannahShe's just like a really traditional.
Lou HannahShe's a trading.
Anna WilliamsonWe need a trad Indian.
Lou HannahSo if we could.
Lou HannahIf I can ask Dr.
Lou HannahAmir if maybe we can borrow Mama Khan and she can do like a proper curry for.
Anna WilliamsonWe need to this family bag.
Lou HannahI'm gonna.
Lou HannahI'm genuinely gonna ask or unless if you're the lady that you met from after Chef.
Lou HannahRight.
Lou HannahWe're gonna make this happen.
Anna WilliamsonI'll be able to find out her name.
Anna WilliamsonQuite.
Lou HannahCan I just say, never in the history of Luana have I been more invested in a family story and the fact that we are the gatekeepers.
Lou HannahLou of this dialogue.
Anna WilliamsonSo good.
Lou HannahIt's so good.
Lou HannahThat's just made my day.
Lou HannahNo wonder Remo was pissed off she was missing today's episode.
Lou HannahEmo, you've got fomo, man.
Anna WilliamsonWell up, man.
Lou HannahYeah, well to fairly.
Lou HannahShe's read it all already so she knows.
Lou HannahMessage from Anonymous.
Lou HannahSo, Jemima.
Lou HannahHi, girls.
Anna WilliamsonI wish I would have called one of my kids that.
Lou HannahI mean, I think you just need eight more kids, Lou, because you do.
Anna WilliamsonLike a lot of names.
Lou HannahHi, guys.
Lou HannahMe and my boyfriend have been together for 11 years and have two kids in a house.
Lou HannahPardon me.
Lou HannahWe get on amazingly.
Lou HannahHe's like my best friend and I can't imagine not being with him.
Lou HannahAmazing.
Lou HannahMy dilemma is he has had X formerly Twitter for years and I've never been following him.
Anna WilliamsonCan I just say that name?
Anna WilliamsonIt hasn't called.
Lou HannahIt hasn't.
Lou HannahCool.
Lou HannahIt's basically everyone has called eggs.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonSo we might as well go back to just Twitter.
Lou HannahExactly.
Lou HannahI've never been following him on there as I never felt the need.
Lou HannahHe's always said he just uses it for news and it's never bothered me until a few nights ago.
Lou HannahI hate X.
Lou HannahI find it so toxic.
Anna WilliamsonI find it very.
Anna WilliamsonI came off that.
Anna WilliamsonI used to use it all the time.
Lou HannahNo, I don't use it.
Anna WilliamsonDon't use it at all now.
Anna WilliamsonSuch a negative place.
Lou HannahIt's so neggy.
Lou HannahWe were just sitting together watching TV and he was on his phone on X Twitter.
Lou HannahI said to him, let me know, let me add you on X.
Lou HannahAnd he replied, no.
Lou HannahNow to me that was a red flag.
Lou HannahI agree, mate.
Lou HannahSo I tried to search you on the site and nothing came up with his name.
Lou HannahWhen I asked him why I couldn't find him, he said, I can't have anything for myself.
Lou HannahYou always want to know everything.
Lou HannahYeah, this made me really want to know what he was up to on there.
Lou HannahSo I told him if he had nothing to hide, then he should follow me on the site so I could see.
Lou HannahHe did follow me to shut me up and I requested to follow him back.
Lou HannahBut he left me hanging for a day.
Lou HannahAnd when he did finally accept me, he had cleared his whole page so it was completely empty except for a post he accidentally left saying, can't DM you.
Lou HannahOh, his account name had nothing to do with his real name and was so, so private, like he didn't want it to be found.
Lou HannahWhen I asked him why he had cleared his whole page before he accepted my request, he said because some weird bots followed him and he thought I would go mad.
Lou HannahOh, honey, I'm sorry, but please, your instinct is correct.
Lou HannahCome on.
Lou HannahI didn't buy the story.
Lou HannahAnd when I told him that I didn't believe him, he went absolutely mad and told me I was smothering him and not to talk to him.
Lou HannahOh.
Lou HannahI mean, can I just say, that is the classic reaction of someone that is lying.
Anna WilliamsonDodgeball.
Lou HannahI felt like this was a deflection to turn it around on me.
Lou HannahYeah, spot on, my darling.
Lou HannahWhen we did speak, he denied, tried everything for a few days and then out of the blue said, do you know what I was doing on X?
Lou HannahI was trying to message.
Lou HannahOh, I was trying to message a transsexual for one of my mates in work to set him up, but I didn't want to tell you in case you didn't believe me.
Lou HannahOkay, I absolutely do not believe him.
Lou HannahI think he was using the site to message people behind my back.
Lou HannahWhen I asked him, why would you do that?
Lou HannahHe said, if you don't believe me, just leave me and you don't stay with me.
Lou HannahDon't talk about it again because I can't be asked with it all.
Lou HannahSo make your decision.
Lou HannahOh, again, I feel he's deflecting.
Lou HannahCorrect.
Lou HannahThat is exactly what he is doing.
Lou HannahHe's deflecting his text, his actual textbook.
Lou HannahWell, yeah, it is, but it's what he's been caught out cheating babes cheating through.
Lou HannahThrough messaging.
Lou HannahClassic example.
Lou HannahCould I just say of someone that is basically a big caught out when they just throw the baby out with the bath water and go, your problem.
Lou HannahLeave me then if you don't believe me.
Lou HannahYeah, because it puts the problem on.
Anna WilliamsonYou don't want to leave exactly.
Anna WilliamsonOver something that you don't know.
Lou HannahIt puts them back in a position of control.
Lou HannahThis is classic.
Lou HannahI really don't know what to do.
Lou HannahShould I leave him?
Lou HannahHas he been cheating on me?
Lou HannahDo you think there is more?
Lou HannahI don't know.
Lou HannahIt's eating me up inside as I have been faithful our whole relationship and would never think of hurting him in any way.
Lou HannahWe have a mortgage and kids and financially I cannot afford everything without him.
Lou HannahHe earns a substantial amount more than I do as I took a step back so he could have a better career and I have been there for our children.
Lou HannahI do love him so much but now I don't trust him and it hurts me how he can do this to me.
Lou HannahMe.
Lou HannahI thought we were in such a good place in our relationship.
Lou HannahMy mum has not long passed away and he has been an amazing support through it and he's told me how we should get married next year.
Lou HannahAlso, side note, he did cheat on me a year into our relationship, which I always had a gut feeling about, but he only admitted it to me last year and cried saying he'd never do it again.
Lou HannahPlease help.
Lou HannahAny advice is appreciated.
Anna WilliamsonI feel like he might be doing it again.
Lou HannahLook, what I would say is it takes a lifetime to build trust and a second to break it and that's exactly what he's done.
Lou HannahYou found out he's cheated in the past.
Lou HannahSo we're with, you know, with this is, this is, you know, for him and just, just laying out on, on the table here.
Lou HannahOf course you don't trust him and he has to accept and appreciate of why you would not trust him given the past and then given the shadiness of what he's doing.
Lou HannahYou know, my advice is I wouldn't completely check out of your relationship now, but I do think you need to have some very strong discussions over honesty and trust can be rebuilt.
Lou HannahBut he has got to play ball and he has fully, fully got to be transparent.
Lou HannahI would actually say to him personally, well, I do this with, I do marriage, marriage counseling, couples counseling.
Lou HannahYou can, you can get a relationship back on track but you have to be completely transparent.
Lou HannahEven the that you're scared to say, you just have to say it.
Lou HannahIf he is prepared to just tell you everything and you are able to perhaps deal with that, process it, and there is a chance for you guys, then you can do it.
Lou HannahBut if he won't be transparent with you, then please don't get into a relationship where the trust is fractured.
Anna WilliamsonDefinitely don't get bloody marriage.
Lou HannahI think you need to just say this to him.
Lou HannahLook, I don't believe you.
Lou HannahYou have an opportunity to be truthful.
Lou HannahIf you don't, well, then I might have to reconsider our relationship.
Anna WilliamsonThe thing is, he doesn't want you to know the truth because he thinks it'll end the relationship.
Lou HannahBut if he has an opportunity to know that if he really does tell you the truth, you are more likely to give it a chance.
Anna WilliamsonHe's already given it.
Anna WilliamsonIt's already cheated one.
Lou HannahWell, exactly.
Lou HannahHe has to be very, very.
Lou HannahHe has to be very open.
Lou HannahAnd I would encourage you to be quite clear on that boundary what you need in order to stay.
Lou HannahBut what will happen if that doesn't happen and what the alternative will be.
Lou HannahAnd if you do end up leaving that relationship, trust me, there will be a way through that as well.
Anna WilliamsonGood luck.
Anna WilliamsonWe've got another message from Anons who've called you.
Anna WilliamsonThomasina.
Anna WilliamsonHey, I have a story for your podcast.
Anna WilliamsonSo I started my new job as a care assistant and after about four months I was doing an evening call.
Anna WilliamsonSo I asked the elderly gentleman to walk with his frame to the bathroom.
Anna WilliamsonI put my gloves on and pulled his trousers and pull up pad down.
Anna WilliamsonAs I did this, I said, oh, you've been to the proper toilet.
Anna WilliamsonHe replied, no, I haven't.
Anna WilliamsonI said, yes, you have.
Anna WilliamsonSo I pulled the two lumps of hard poo out.
Anna WilliamsonOh, bless carers, they're so good, aren't they?
Anna WilliamsonAnd pulled the two lumps of hard poo out from under his bottom.
Anna WilliamsonBut they wouldn't budge.
Anna WilliamsonI pulled a little more and the elderly man said, what are you doing?
Anna WilliamsonOh my God.
Anna WilliamsonThe elderly man said, what are you doing?
Anna WilliamsonI decose to look and realized I was pulling on his balls.
Anna WilliamsonI then said, oh, it's nothing, you're very clean.
Anna WilliamsonYou can pull up now and go back to the lounge to watch tv.
Lou HannahTugging his nose, thinking it was a chug nut.
Lou HannahOh my God, stop.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then she just sort of, sort of ghosted the the situation and just sent him on his way.
Lou HannahHere you go, Pat.
Lou HannahPat.
Anna WilliamsonWhat are you doing?
Lou HannahTug, tug, tug, tug.
Anna WilliamsonOh, God, that's a classic.
Anna WilliamsonClassic.
Anna WilliamsonOh, remember, if you Want to get in touch?
Anna WilliamsonYou can email us Luana@everyTHING moana.com or drop us a WhatsApp on 07452 double 6947.
Lou HannahRight, okay.
Lou HannahWe've had some listener feedback on this, guys.
Lou HannahSo we talked about this last week, the first drug consumption room in Glasgow.
Lou HannahWe were talking about it and we were so like all over the place with our thoughts on it.
Lou HannahAnd the user figures have been revealed.
Lou HannahSo the UK's first drug consumption clinic.
Lou HannahIt's been used more than 130 times since it opened last week.
Anna WilliamsonWait, let me work out how many times in a day.
Anna WilliamsonOkay, so 130 times over seven days.
Anna WilliamsonWhat do you think?
Anna Williamson130 divided by seven is.
Anna WilliamsonAnna Williamson 18.5.
Lou HannahThere you go.
Lou HannahI was gonna say that the safer drugs consumption facility in Glasgow.
Lou HannahSo it opened 13th of Jan and it let people.
Lou HannahIf you listened to the episode last week, you'll know the story.
Lou HannahLet people take substances under supervision.
Lou HannahThe counselor for the city said it had been an intense first week for staff and the service being used 131 times.
Lou HannahThere were no medical emergencies resulting from drug use within the facility known as the Thistle in the first week.
Lou HannahNow the 131 figure includes people who have used the service on more than one occasion.
Lou HannahNow it's hoped that this clinic can reduce fatal and non fatal overdoses by providing a safe and clean place for people to use drugs, but also giving people further support to cope with their addiction.
Lou HannahAs well as safer injecting facilities, users were provided with wound care, clean injecting equipment and naloxone as required.
Anna WilliamsonWonder what an allotment?
Lou HannahNot too sure.
Lou HannahA spokesman for the facility said that some users had already engaged with housing and drug treatment support.
Lou HannahWell, that's really possible because that was, that was our concern.
Anna WilliamsonThey were saying that there wasn't any financial support.
Lou HannahYeah.
Anna WilliamsonSo listen, it's made a promising start.
Lou HannahIt has.
Anna WilliamsonThey're delighted that people have been using it.
Anna WilliamsonIt's kind of a safe hygienic place.
Lou HannahYeah, that's good.
Lou HannahYeah, yeah.
Lou HannahAnd I think this is important because this, this goes on from what we were saying, Lou.
Lou HannahThey've said, you know, we know this is not a silver bullet, but having a facility that is safe and hygienic and medically supervised will go a long way towards reducing drug related overdoses, injection related wounds, infections, and the negative impact that injecting outdoors has on local communities, which we fully were on board with.
Lou HannahWe were so like open about all this.
Anna WilliamsonWell, this has been Debated for a long time.
Anna WilliamsonIt was first, first proposed in 2016, so years and years.
Anna WilliamsonSo.
Anna WilliamsonBut, but it's very expensive.
Anna WilliamsonSo the running costs, just over three years are expected to reach nearly £7 million.
Anna WilliamsonThat's very exciting when you think it's been used, okay, it's only the first week, but it's.
Anna WilliamsonIt's been used 131 times in the first week, so about 18 times a day.
Anna WilliamsonBut that hasn't been 131 people because it's been used by the same people multiple times.
Anna WilliamsonIt's a lot of money to spend on not that many people, isn't it?
Anna WilliamsonAnd I still think that it could be that 7 million, you know.
Anna WilliamsonWell, let's see.
Lou HannahWell, well, we asked for your input and it says in here in the script and a lot of you wrote in, so.
Lou HannahAnd as always, guys, we like this to be really good, healthy debate where we can all share our opinions in a really safe and non judgmental way.
Lou HannahSo here we go.
Lou HannahIt says, a note to listeners, IMO has had to cut down the emails as there was a lot of great stuff.
Lou HannahStuff, but we just haven't got time to include all of it.
Lou HannahSo thanks to everyone who did message in.
Lou HannahWhat's the first one we got?
Lou HannahLulu.
Anna WilliamsonSo, Mr.
Anna WilliamsonPerson says hello.
Anna WilliamsonSomeone who lives in Glasgow here, putting in my two pence per the new Thistle drug project.
Lou HannahRight.
Anna WilliamsonI'm a normal, functioning member of society.
Anna WilliamsonI run my own business, have a nice comfy life.
Anna WilliamsonAnd also my mother is a recovered heroin addict.
Anna WilliamsonOkay, I think the vital part of information you're missing here is context.
Anna WilliamsonGlasgow city center is a dump.
Anna WilliamsonThe entire town, I thought was quite nice when we went on tour.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, the entire town, from the center to the Tron gate, which is about a 15 minute walk, is littered with garbage, needles, tinfoil and drug addicts.
Anna WilliamsonThey are everywhere.
Lou HannahWow.
Anna WilliamsonYou can walk for five minutes and see multiple people who have lost their legs due to drug abuse.
Anna WilliamsonWow, that's really bad.
Lou HannahAnd this is someone whose mother is.
Anna WilliamsonRecovering heroin addicts and they actively live.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, yeah, yeah, they live.
Anna WilliamsonBut why aren't they spending the money on cleaning the.
Anna WilliamsonCleaning the road?
Lou HannahWell, let's see.
Anna WilliamsonThere is an alley in Glasgow where drug addicts scrape dust from a brick wall to sell to other drug addicts because it looks quite like heroin.
Anna WilliamsonThe drug problem here is absolutely terrifying.
Anna WilliamsonThe purpose of the room is simple.
Anna WilliamsonThe addicts won't die on their own in the street, which by the way is also a common sight.
Anna WilliamsonPersonally, in the last Couple of years I've called ambulances on men who had overdosed and I know friends who have done the same.
Anna WilliamsonThe underfunding is the issue.
Anna WilliamsonPeople can be referred to n a Narcotics Anonymous, but if the structure isn't there to support them, the chances of recovery are.
Anna WilliamsonOf course, of course, of course.
Anna WilliamsonPersonally, I think if they can be cared for in a warm space with clean needles, medical staff and any help, then it's worth it.
Anna WilliamsonSurely if one person's life is saved.
Lou HannahThen that's enough great feedback.
Anna WilliamsonI do great.
Anna WilliamsonBut I still think that spending 7 million pounds to potentially save one person's life is a little bit extravagant.
Anna WilliamsonWhen you look at.
Anna WilliamsonI don't know, I'm gonna, I'm gonna like.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I just think what those people contribute to society is that, is it worth 7 million?
Lou HannahI guess that's the question.
Anna WilliamsonAnd, and, but then who are we to say whether whose life is worth.
Lou HannahAbsolutely.
Lou HannahA life is a lie.
Anna WilliamsonWorth more.
Anna WilliamsonBut.
Lou HannahRight, right.
Lou HannahAnd I also, I also think excellent context as you say, because we don't know, we don't know Glasgow and thank you for that message because yeah, we don't see what's going on.
Lou HannahThe next message in.
Lou HannahHi Luana.
Lou HannahA friend recently listened to latest episode and knowing my background, asked me to write in and share my views on drug consumption rooms.
Lou HannahSo here I am.
Anna WilliamsonI'm loving all this people.
Lou HannahYeah, thanks guys.
Lou HannahFirst of all, I want to clarify that calling these spaces drug facilitation rooms can be misleading.
Lou HannahReading the term might suggest that we are encouraging or facilitating drug use, but that is not the intention at all.
Lou HannahThese are harm reduction spaces designed to ensure that people who use drugs do so as safely as possible, minimizing the risk of overdose, disease transmission and antisocial behavior.
Lou HannahThat is a very key point actually, which we hadn't previously discussed.
Lou HannahIt's about meeting people where they are at, not forcing them to change their behavior overnight, but ensuring that they are supported in the safest way possible.
Lou HannahThese consumption rooms are not new.
Lou HannahIn fact, they have been successfully implemented many countries across, across Europe where drug policies tend to be more progressive and evidence based.
Lou HannahThese countries are far ahead of us in addressing addiction and substance use in more compassionate, non judgmental ways.
Lou HannahFair.
Lou HannahThey recognize that the war on drugs has failed and that criminalization only harms individuals and communities.
Lou HannahThese rooms save lives.
Lou HannahBy providing a controlled, sterile environment, we can drastically reduce the number of drug related deaths as well as the transmission of diseases like hiv.
Lou HannahAdditionally, they reduce the burden on the NHS by preventing overdoses and minimizing the need for emergency intervention.
Lou HannahWell, that's what I was saying to you about our local Annie which is very, very overrun with.
Lou HannahWith.
Lou HannahWith addicts that are in there a lot recently.
Lou HannahWhen I've been as someone who works in an alcohol and drug service specializing in supporting individuals with opioid dependency, I see firsthand how people's circumstances can lead them.
Lou HannahYeah, that's fair.
Lou HannahTo.
Lou HannahTo use substances as a coping mechanism.
Lou HannahFair?
Lou HannahI don't judge that to be fair.
Lou HannahI don't.
Lou HannahI don't either because I've seen that firsthand.
Lou HannahSome people are in terrible states knock through their own fault.
Lou HannahSociety often judges people who use drugs but many of them are dealing with trauma, adverse childhood experiences, a ACE and systemic issues that we have failed to address.
Lou HannahAdditionally, it's important to recognize how socioeconomic factors are contributing to these issues.
Lou HannahYeah, that is important.
Lou HannahUnderstanding that people who use drugs often have deep rooted emotional pain and unmet needs could change the way we view addiction as a whole.
Lou HannahWhole.
Lou HannahThose individuals are often the most judged and unsupported in our society, yet they generally cause no harm to others beyond their own struggles.
Lou HannahStill, it is very, very true.
Lou HannahStill we expend so much energy policing and stigmatizing them instead of offering support and understanding.
Lou HannahYeah, I think that's a fair point.
Lou HannahFinally, harm reduction isn't about seeing if these approaches work.
Lou HannahThe evidence already exists.
Lou HannahSupported by decades of research and global success stories.
Lou HannahCountries like Holland and those in Scandinavia have led the way in harm reduction strategies with significantly lower rates of drug related crime, death and higher measures of quality of life compared to the uk.
Lou HannahI mean that can only be a good thing.
Lou HannahThese countries demonstrate the long term benefits of prioritizing compassion and evidence based policies over criminalization.
Lou HannahThere's so much we can learn from other countries that have embraced harm reduction and seen transformative results.
Lou HannahResults.
Lou HannahMany thanks.
Lou HannahA substance misuse specialist nurse.
Lou HannahI love my job but it's.
Anna WilliamsonGosh, I bet it is hard.
Lou HannahFantastic piece of context there.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I wonder why though when you go to countries like say Dubai for instance, there's no.
Anna WilliamsonThere's no.
Anna WilliamsonYou just don't see that there.
Lou HannahBut do we know there's not or is it just that we only see it?
Lou HannahI mean maybe you know more about Dubai than I do, but is it because we're not.
Lou HannahWe don't.
Lou HannahWe only see what we want to see.
Lou HannahAnd often we go to these countries more as, as a holiday.
Lou HannahYou know, we don't typically problem there.
Anna WilliamsonLike it is here.
Anna WilliamsonThey don't have a crime problem there like it is here.
Anna WilliamsonSo why do we have all these problems?
Lou HannahBut then I.
Lou HannahI agree with you.
Lou HannahBut then I would.
Lou HannahBut then I would also say I've got no idea how other countries in Europe truly are operating.
Lou HannahI mean, I know, for example, and all I've seen in Sicily, for example, where Alex comes from.
Lou HannahYeah.
Lou HannahYou know, when we've been into the capital, Palermo, I mean, we, I mean, there's some absolute proper degradation, you know, going on there now, you know, and you don't hear that reported.
Lou HannahAnd it's only when you live there and you hear, you go, Christ, you know, there's a real issue around certain, you know, issues, socioeconomic issues.
Lou HannahSo I guess unless you're really in those countries, you don't, you don't see it.
Lou HannahWe only see what we see.
Anna WilliamsonWell, thank you.
Anna WilliamsonMessage.
Anna WilliamsonYou've got another message now.
Anna WilliamsonHey, ladies.
Anna WilliamsonI just wanted to put a message across from the Monday's pod about the drug rooms.
Anna WilliamsonI'm a previous class A user, on and off from 16 years old until 21.
Anna WilliamsonThat's so young, isn't it?
Anna WilliamsonIt's so sad.
Anna WilliamsonNow I've been clean for nine years.
Anna WilliamsonWell done.
Lou HannahWell done.
Anna WilliamsonIt's not hard to stay clean when you've got that, when you've had that as well and when you've got that addictive trait.
Lou HannahI mean, I wouldn't know.
Lou HannahI mean, I guess it's different for each individual, but well done.
Lou HannahI hope that didn't sound patronizing, me saying well done, but genuinely well done.
Anna WilliamsonMy personal opinion is I genuinely don't think these rooms will work.
Anna WilliamsonI don't think there'll be enough trust for a drug user to not be reported for having an illegal substance.
Anna WilliamsonI also don't think.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, that's true.
Lou HannahBecause as long as, if you're not dealing though.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, but then they might be like, well, where have you bought it from?
Anna WilliamsonAnd then I don't know.
Anna WilliamsonI don't think they ask, they're asking questions like that though.
Anna WilliamsonI also don't think unless these rooms are on every other street, they will not get used.
Anna WilliamsonWell, that's what I think.
Lou HannahBut they are being used.
Anna WilliamsonWell, we got by many people.
Lou HannahI'd say 131 people in a week.
Anna WilliamsonIt's not 131 people.
Anna WilliamsonOh, oh, that's what it says.
Anna WilliamsonIt's 131 times it's been used for.
Anna WilliamsonSo it's 18 times a day.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, it could have 18 people using it 10 times.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahTrue.
Anna WilliamsonSo it's not.
Anna WilliamsonWhich I think's right, because as soon as you get your smack, you want it in you.
Anna WilliamsonSo I also don't think unless these rooms are on every other street, they will not get used.
Anna WilliamsonAs a previous user and knowing users, you would not buy drugs.
Anna WilliamsonThis is what I just said.
Anna WilliamsonThen walk, bike or drive, drive so many miles or minutes more to then get your fix.
Anna WilliamsonThey don't.
Anna WilliamsonThey want, they get it and they get it in straight on.
Anna WilliamsonYou want to do your drugs.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Anna WilliamsonThe minute they're in your hand.
Anna WilliamsonI think the funding needs to go into support and help for people who genuinely want to get clean.
Anna WilliamsonThere is just no support for anyone who is trying to better themselves.
Lou HannahRight.
Lou HannahThis is the issue.
Anna WilliamsonAll you're doing is sticking plaster, is facilitating the same.
Lou HannahAnd what we're hearing unanimously from all these messages from very different vantage points is the importance, importance of that actual compassion.
Anna WilliamsonThey would have been better off, you know, kitting out a few little mini buses, stripping the mini bus out and having mobile rooms and a driver and a nurse, a driver and a nurse in a little mobile minivan, having 10 of those that were driving around the city and it's always at this point, at that time, at that point, at that.
Anna WilliamsonAnd then they could then go in the van and do it safely.
Anna WilliamsonThat would have been better.
Lou HannahIt's the long term support it sounds like, doesn't it?
Anna WilliamsonAnyway, so it says.
Anna WilliamsonBut also like you ladies have said, said you can't help someone who doesn't genuinely want the help.
Anna WilliamsonYou have to be 100 ready.
Lou HannahAnd Lou and I both know this from having people close to us to know that you have to be in that headspace.
Anna WilliamsonI have been approached to become a drug worker, but in all honesty, I don't think I could deal with the user's, quite frankly.
Anna WilliamsonMost users will attend appointments, tell the drug worker what they want here to be able to get the next prescription of methadone and be on their way to score again.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I'm, I'm with you because of my experience.
Anna WilliamsonIt's just, you know, drug addicts are the worst liars you've ever come across.
Anna WilliamsonThe manipulation is unreal.
Anna WilliamsonJust so.
Anna WilliamsonYes, I believe the money in those drug rooms would be much more beneficial to helping users and putting information to youngsters too.
Anna WilliamsonPrevention is the key.
Anna WilliamsonRight.
Anna WilliamsonI'd love to out my personal story across.
Anna WilliamsonI'd love to put my personal story across to show people about how there is a life to be lived on the other side of drugs and it's really worth it.
Anna WilliamsonI no longer have to wake up and immediately think of how I'm going to earn a tenor so I can go and score.
Anna WilliamsonI wake up pain free with a wonderful family and a business owner.
Lou HannahGood for you.
Anna WilliamsonIf anyone listening to the POD has any kind of addiction, please make that first step and speak to somebody as your life is worth it.
Lou HannahThat's the best flipping great message.
Lou HannahThank you for sharing that.
Lou HannahThat is so powerful.
Lou HannahThank you.
Anna WilliamsonI am agree with you and and well done.
Anna WilliamsonRight, we've got another message, last one.
Lou HannahSo read the reader.
Lou HannahThistle it's hard to help people engage in change if they' engaging with services.
Lou HannahA lot of people aren't due to the fear of criminalization, hopelessness and various countless other factors and any opportunity to engage them is a win.
Lou HannahThis being one of them.
Lou HannahSometimes that window to get someone to engage in change is very small and we're more likely to get them if they're alive and not dead from an overdose due to decriminal, due to criminalization and in the end dead from an overdose.
Lou HannahThe Thistle would also be testing people's drugs to make sure it's what they think it is to reduce risk too.
Lou HannahDo we need to help people where they are first in order to help them move towards and build motivation to change?
Lou HannahRemember, these people are criminalized and don't feel worthy of help.
Lou HannahOften I don't work in substance services but in mental health with other life threatening behavior from Anonymous.
Lou HannahThank you.
Lou HannahYeah, another very interesting point and I think overall, you know, thank you everyone.
Anna WilliamsonThat time will tell.
Lou HannahYeah, time will tell and everyone really felt quite passionately about this as we did too.
Anna WilliamsonThe feedback was amazing and we love a good home.
Anna WilliamsonHealthy debate on Nirana.
Anna WilliamsonSo if we ever do talk about a story that you want to get involved in, please do send your emails in because we do read them and we love to get and this is.
Lou HannahWhat'S so important actually about what we do because yeah, often we're on all kinds of sides of the fence and and that really helps us to understand.
Lou HannahSo thanks everybody and yeah, we'll see how it all plays out.
Anna WilliamsonRight, let's move on.
Anna WilliamsonIt's time for it's the Widow of the Week.
Lou HannahRight Brogan.
Lou HannahHi Luana.
Lou HannahAm I the weirdo of the week?
Lou HannahI'm 31, live with my partner and about to be married, but if I ever stay over at my mum's house, when I get up in the morning, I will climb into bed with her.
Lou HannahOh, okay.
Lou HannahMy stepdad will Even bring us up drinks, breakfast and we can chill in bed for a few hours, chatting.
Anna WilliamsonSo lovely.
Lou HannahScrolling.
Lou HannahOr this week we plan separate holidays.
Lou HannahMy honeymoon and her Christmas.
Lou HannahI don't know anyone else who would do this at my age, but she's my, like my best friend and it's one of my favorite things.
Lou HannahThings.
Lou HannahNo need to keep me anonymous.
Lou HannahI'm Brogan from Nottingham.
Anna WilliamsonI don't think that's weird.
Anna WilliamsonI think that is so lovely and so special and memories you will cherish forever.
Lou HannahAnd I do this.
Anna WilliamsonDo you?
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahI mean, I don't get into my.
Lou HannahIf I go away with my mum, if we do a Japanese night or something, we often will share a bed.
Anna WilliamsonYeah.
Lou HannahAnd I will in the morning, scooch up to my mum, have a little snuggle and a cuddle.
Lou HannahWe'll have a little cup of tea whilst we're watching.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not a cuddly person.
Lou HannahNo, you're not.
Lou HannahNo.
Lou HannahActually my mum isn't fun enough, but I force her to have.
Lou HannahI think it's lovely.
Lou HannahAnd I have a little snuggle with my mum and it's really lovely.
Anna WilliamsonI think that's.
Lou HannahAnd I'm 43, so.
Lou HannahThere you go.
Anna WilliamsonRight, we've got Shelly and Dan in next.
Anna WilliamsonWe're not sure if your names are real or not.
Anna WilliamsonIs this weird?
Anna WilliamsonI'm totally in love with my boyfriend and think he's absolutely gorgeous, ripped and could just squidge him anytime and kiss his face off.
Anna WilliamsonThe other day I watched him get out of bed and walk naked to the en suite, looking gorgeous, which aroused me.
Anna WilliamsonI heard him take a wee, so I approached him also naked and feeling hot, pressed myself against him from behind as he stood finishing his Wii and reached reached round to do the customary man shake after a P to remove any drips for him.
Anna WilliamsonAs I shook him sensually, his beautiful member grew in my hand, swelling to the this like a novel, like Jilly Cooper, swelling to the thickness and length I desired.
Anna WilliamsonAnd so I thought, game on.
Anna WilliamsonSo I spun him round, craftily lowering the toilet seat for him to sit on and then straddled him, taking him inside my lasting pussy.
Lou HannahIt's a porno.
Lou HannahShe's used a P word.
Lou HannahI don't know.
Lou HannahI don't feel very comfortable with that of a morning.
Anna WilliamsonWe then started to writhe rhythmically, going for the full on sex in the toilet.
Anna WilliamsonIt was hot and totally gorgeous as we snogged and we rocked.
Anna WilliamsonSuddenly I heard a.
Lou HannahWhat?
Anna WilliamsonWhat?
Lou HannahNo.
Anna WilliamsonSuddenly I heard a splash and an aroma Arose of the night before curry, a complete air buffet.
Anna WilliamsonHe had taken a shit.
Lou HannahSo the toilet seat was up and he was on the actual pan.
Anna WilliamsonHis toilet seat was up and he was on the.
Anna WilliamsonShe then put the toilet seat down and sat on him.
Anna WilliamsonShe says, I put the toilet seat down.
Anna WilliamsonI thought she meant the lid down, but no, no, she's just put the sitting bit down.
Lou HannahThe sitting bit down on the hole.
Anna WilliamsonShe's on him writhing around.
Lou HannahHe's had a mid shag.
Lou HannahYeah, he's a shagger.
Anna WilliamsonHow can you have a boner and do a shit at the same time?
Lou HannahSo many questions, she said.
Anna WilliamsonI was horrified but too near my big orgasm to stop completely.
Anna WilliamsonWe continued to fruition on the shit smell and the.
Lou HannahOh, this is like.
Lou HannahWhat's his name?
Lou HannahFrancesco from last week.
Lou HannahWhat was his name?
Anna WilliamsonWe continued to fruition for the remaining few seconds as he emptied his man gravy and I also orgasmed.
Anna WilliamsonI then kissed him, dismounted, flushed and went back to the bedroom.
Anna WilliamsonNot a word was said and it has never been discussed.
Anna WilliamsonBut sex on the toilet, first thing is now a regular thing.
Anna WilliamsonIs it weird?
Anna WilliamsonWhat do you think?
Anna WilliamsonThink I think it's weird.
Anna WilliamsonHow is it?
Anna WilliamsonWell, it's weird they didn't say anything.
Anna WilliamsonHe just did a mid shag and then they both came.
Anna WilliamsonShe just flushed and went, that's it for me.
Lou HannahNo, no.
Lou HannahIt's a no from me.
Lou HannahThat's weird.
Lou HannahBut listen, I would just say you do you, honey, it's clearly working for you.
Anna WilliamsonClearly.
Lou HannahIf I copped a whiff, I want to know of a post curry when you're at any point.
Anna WilliamsonNo, that that big eye be fizzling out.
Lou HannahOh, there's no big O, mate.
Anna WilliamsonWell, there you go.
Lou HannahBig elbow.
Lou HannahThis episode has been gold, by the way.
Lou HannahCan I just say, gold limo you did you over delivered today.
Lou HannahThis has been absolute gold.
Anna WilliamsonOh dear.
Lou HannahRight, normally at this time of the week you either have a rant or a happy moment.
Lou HannahNo ranting today.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not got a run.
Lou HannahI mean, may I say, the happy moment is just.
Lou HannahJust the quality Lufanians who delivered today.
Anna WilliamsonYou guys are bringing it.
Lou HannahBringing it, bringing it.
Lou HannahThere's no rant.
Lou HannahShe wants a whale in her lake.
Anna WilliamsonI want a whale in my leg.
Anna WilliamsonI do have a little bit of a run and I, you know about this because I did it.
Anna WilliamsonI kind of had a little bit of a moan on our Luana group the other day of WhatsApp about voice notes.
Lou HannahOh yeah, you don't like a voice note?
Anna WilliamsonI don't like voice notes.
Anna WilliamsonI'm busy.
Anna WilliamsonI'm not going to listen to your voice notes when I'm around people because quite frankly, it's rude and I never know what someone's going to say when they send me a voice.
Anna WilliamsonVoice note and I don't want to do that.
Anna WilliamsonIt's rude.
Anna WilliamsonI'm normally around people, so I just don't want voice notes anymore.
Anna WilliamsonStop sending them.
Anna WilliamsonLooking at you, Anna.
Anna WilliamsonLooking at your agent Sam.
Anna WilliamsonBut then I sent Agent Sam a voice note this morning and she replied and put, sorry, I'm not listening to that voice.
Anna WilliamsonNo.
Anna WilliamsonAnd I was like, yes, Sam, that was well deserved.
Lou HannahI would, I, I hear you.
Lou HannahBut sometimes you know what?
Anna WilliamsonHate them.
Lou HannahWell, but then you do.
Anna WilliamsonI don't listen.
Lou HannahSo you're not consistent.
Lou HannahConsistent, no.
Lou HannahSo if you were consistent, I'm not.
Anna WilliamsonGoing to do voice notes anymore and I don't want anyone to send me any.
Lou HannahFine, if you're consistent, we'll be consistent.
Anna WilliamsonOkay, don't send me voice notes.
Lou HannahFine.
Lou HannahDone.
Anna WilliamsonYou haven't done it recently.
Lou HannahI'd never do voice notes.
Lou HannahYeah, I'm not a voice note to.
Anna WilliamsonNot normally.
Anna WilliamsonI find them, I don't know as a voice notor.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I don't listen to them.
Anna WilliamsonWell, there you go, because I'm busy.
Anna WilliamsonJust, I just want to read those.
Lou HannahIn glass houses this month.
Anna WilliamsonWell, it was this morning.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I did like Agent Sam's clap back at me.
Anna WilliamsonMe.
Anna WilliamsonYeah, I love a clap back on the girl.
Lou HannahGo on.
Lou HannahA girl.
Lou HannahYou see, we got a clap back at the Zis when she's dishing it out and we do, we put her back in her place.
Lou HannahSo we'll be sending you voice.
Lou HannahYou do know you've now, now you've now now ignited a flurry of voice.
Anna WilliamsonNotes because it's a waste of your breath and energy.
Lou HannahIt could be something juicy.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I'm not listening to it and see.
Anna WilliamsonWell, I'm not going to wait and see because I'm not going to listen to it.
Anna WilliamsonWell, okay.
Anna WilliamsonSo don't waste your breath.
Lou HannahOkay, fine.
Lou HannahDone.
Lou HannahThat is it, guys.
