Lou Hannah

This is a global player original podcast.

Lou Hannah

Be warned, it's Lou Hannah.

Lou Hannah

And this podcast contains honest upfront opinions.

Lou Hannah

Gosh, stinky ass from me.

Lou Hannah

Rants, bants, and general explicit content.

Lou Hannah

But, well, apparently, you know, you love it, and.

Lou Hannah

And we love you too.

Lou Hannah

Good morning, everyone.

Lou Hannah

Welcome to Monday's Luanna.

Lou Hannah

The podcast.

Lou Hannah

It's bad, isn't it?

Lou Hannah

Also, the gunt is on particular form today of me.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I'd say it's like, almost.

Anna Williamson

Small to your gun.

Lou Hannah

You're attached to it.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, I'm quite attached to it.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

You like it?

Lou Hannah

I think I like it.

Anna Williamson

You know, well, guns and all.

Anna Williamson

Here we are.

Lou Hannah

Here we are.

Lou Hannah

Now we have started the morning strong at Champney's.

Lou Hannah

Two at the pod.

Lou Hannah

Pod.

Lou Hannah

Oh, Louise, what's wrong with you?

Anna Williamson

Wore those socks.

Anna Williamson

You know, when I picked my socks today from my drawer, nearly picked a boring pair, and I thought, they're not gonna bring me joy.

Anna Williamson

I'm not gonna wear those socks.

Anna Williamson

I need joy in my life.

Anna Williamson

Keep me joying.

Anna Williamson

Ramble.

Lou Hannah

I play.

Anna Williamson

No, I Pray.

Lou Hannah

Pray.

Lou Hannah

We have yet again come dressed as twins.

Lou Hannah

I mean, we've got to sort this out.

Anna Williamson

What's wrong with us?

Anna Williamson

Why we keep marching on down.

Lou Hannah

You know what this is?

Lou Hannah

You know what this is?

Lou Hannah

This is several years, almost a decade.

Lou Hannah

We should have, like a.

Lou Hannah

We should have, like a.

Lou Hannah

A marriage ceremony when we hit, like, an actual decade.

Anna Williamson

Shall we get married?

Anna Williamson

But, like, not officially.

Anna Williamson

In like a pagan.

Lou Hannah

Have a.

Lou Hannah

Yes.

Anna Williamson

Oh, we could.

Anna Williamson

Like a humanist wedding.

Anna Williamson

Marrying your work.

Anna Williamson

What is wrong with our mics?

Lou Hannah

Why can't we see each other today?

Anna Williamson

Hang on the table, I think.

Lou Hannah

No, there we go.

Lou Hannah

No, it's what happens when we're on our own.

Anna Williamson

Things have been moved around.

Anna Williamson

No, we're all right.

Anna Williamson

It was me.

Anna Williamson

I think I pushed the table back.

Lou Hannah

No, I'm all right now.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, Emo isn't here today, by the way.

Anna Williamson

Guys, we could make just for vague.

Lou Hannah

Williams podcast so we could make up a massive excuse.

Lou Hannah

But she's basically.

Anna Williamson

She said we're basically more capable than Vogue Williams of running the show.

Lou Hannah

We'll take that.

Anna Williamson

Which is true.

Lou Hannah

We'll.

Lou Hannah

We'll take that.

Anna Williamson

Even though Vogue has like 10 million podcasts, you think she'd be able to do herself by now?

Lou Hannah

And we love Vogue, by the way.

Anna Williamson

Oh, yeah.

Anna Williamson

I'm not throwing shade.

Lou Hannah

No, no shade.

Anna Williamson

I am.

Anna Williamson

I need to IMs.

Lou Hannah

Friendly shade.

Lou Hannah

Friendly shade.

Anna Williamson

No.

Lou Hannah

So IMs.

Lou Hannah

She is using her prowess elsewhere.

Lou Hannah

But that's okay because, of course, she has created.

Lou Hannah

In fact, she's backed herself today, Lou.

Lou Hannah

She's put on our little group chat this morning, guys, this is one of the scripts I've done in a long time and she's.

Lou Hannah

She's proper sad.

Lou Hannah

She's not here.

Lou Hannah

So we're looking forward to this.

Lou Hannah

So brace yourself, guys, because coming up today in Luana, the podcast, I think we've got a bit of healthy debate and some feedback from.

Anna Williamson

She's got no idea what's coming up today because she's not read the script.

Anna Williamson

I love the fact you did like a gmtv.

Anna Williamson

That did sound GMT today.

Anna Williamson

No fucking clue.

Anna Williamson

Because all you've seen is this first page which says, hello, do an intro.

Lou Hannah

Well, no, but she did.

Lou Hannah

Have you not read her message?

Anna Williamson

Yeah, she picked it up.

Lou Hannah

She picked it up.

Anna Williamson

Oh, yeah, We've got a healthy debate.

Lou Hannah

About a story we talked about last week, so stay tuned.

Anna Williamson

The drug thing in the drug room.

Anna Williamson

Glasgow Space girls.

Anna Williamson

Well, can I just say.

Lou Hannah

Yes, you can.

Anna Williamson

I went.

Lou Hannah

Yes, you may.

Lou Hannah

Permission to speak, please.

Anna Williamson

Oh, look at the rain, Anna.

Anna Williamson

Oh, it's miserable being in England.

Anna Williamson

I need to go back to Dubai now, me.

Anna Williamson

Rain on me.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, go on.

Anna Williamson

I went to Preventicum.

Lou Hannah

Beg your pardon?

Anna Williamson

Last week's.

Anna Williamson

My health check.

Lou Hannah

Oh, my gosh, Lufanians.

Lou Hannah

I know a little bit of this, but not all of it.

Lou Hannah

So basically, so what is Preventicum?

Lou Hannah

Because you've now ignited the actual health anxiety.

Lou Hannah

One, one, one joke that I am.

Anna Williamson

Well, you know, Davina McCall recently said, oh, she's got a brain tumor, blah, blah.

Lou Hannah

What?

Lou Hannah

She did?

Anna Williamson

Yeah, she did a health scan.

Anna Williamson

So if you've got an aneurysm, you would not know unless you had like a brain mri.

Lou Hannah

Babs, I'm booking myself in.

Anna Williamson

So, basically, I went for one.

Anna Williamson

Andrew had one too, and he was like, I think you should do one.

Anna Williamson

Probably taking life insurance.

Lou Hannah

Did you?

Lou Hannah

Yeah, you know it.

Lou Hannah

Did you do it because you'd heard Davina McCool talk about, didn't she?

Anna Williamson

No, we've been talking.

Lou Hannah

I think she was doing something and then someone offered it, or.

Lou Hannah

I can't remember, I don't know.

Anna Williamson

But anyway, she did a health and.

Lou Hannah

We all know that.

Lou Hannah

Then it came out with this.

Lou Hannah

This brain cyst.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

So, anyway, yeah, no, Andrew and I've been meaning to do one for ages.

Anna Williamson

We're meant to do it last year, actually.

Anna Williamson

A good idea, and we didn't get time.

Anna Williamson

So, anyway, you go, yeah, it's not cheap, to be fair, but they do everything.

Anna Williamson

So you have a brain mri, chest mri, like stomach mri, like check your liver.

Anna Williamson

How long does it stuff takes all day.

Anna Williamson

It's like six, seven hours.

Lou Hannah

And you go to a private hospital.

Anna Williamson

Will you go to a private clinic?

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Which is specific.

Lou Hannah

This.

Anna Williamson

So they have doctors there, radiologists there, cardiologists.

Anna Williamson

So you have like radio.

Anna Williamson

Had loads of ultrasound scans, had a smear test, had a breast check, blood test, proper body health scan, everything.

Anna Williamson

And then you get your results like literally the same day.

Lou Hannah

And who.

Lou Hannah

And.

Lou Hannah

And do you have like one sort of consultant that delivers all that or do you have consultants for each thing that they've looked at?

Anna Williamson

Do you have one doctor overall for the whole day?

Anna Williamson

But then you go to the specialist.

Anna Williamson

So I saw like the specialist radiologists, specialist cardiologist.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, well, we do like a fitness.

Lou Hannah

I mean, you.

Lou Hannah

You say it's expensive.

Lou Hannah

I mean, and it is expensive.

Lou Hannah

However, and I think this, this comes down to like we talked about this.

Anna Williamson

You know, healthy as well.

Lou Hannah

And actually for me, I would honestly like give up a family holiday and give.

Lou Hannah

I would economize elsewhere in my life in order to.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, make.

Lou Hannah

Just check my health is in good.

Lou Hannah

I want to be here for my kids.

Lou Hannah

So to the top.

Anna Williamson

Typical.

Lou Hannah

I think it's about choice in life.

Lou Hannah

Not always.

Lou Hannah

If we're.

Lou Hannah

We are fortunate enough to have choice, you and I, let's be fully transparent about that.

Anna Williamson

And then they like do a whole body scan, like your muscle mass, all of that stuff.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, I would like to do a public service announcement for everyone that always says I'm too thin.

Lou Hannah

Go on.

Anna Williamson

I am in healthy weight range and my BMI is healthy.

Lou Hannah

Good.

Anna Williamson

My body fat is low, but my weight is healthy.

Lou Hannah

Don't stop eating, guys.

Lou Hannah

Trust me, she's fine.

Anna Williamson

Who doesn't want low body fat, right?

Anna Williamson

Because none of my organs have fat around them.

Anna Williamson

So my liver and everything.

Anna Williamson

The fat around my.

Anna Williamson

So healthy.

Anna Williamson

I do have a slightly enlarged liver, which they said is very strange.

Lou Hannah

Why is that?

Anna Williamson

And my marina coil.

Anna Williamson

They've said stop.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, because I have no fat around my liver.

Anna Williamson

Like literally like barely any.

Lou Hannah

And can you reverse that?

Lou Hannah

Like reverse the enlarging of the liver?

Anna Williamson

They said that they're not concerned.

Anna Williamson

So they then go, literally will consult with a liver specialist.

Anna Williamson

And then he was like, oh, my clients.

Lou Hannah

And is this all under the same, like, fee you pay?

Lou Hannah

Yeah, if you need any, like, so if something flags.

Lou Hannah

No, if you do you have to pay extra then to get it.

Anna Williamson

So something like that, where it's an opinion.

Anna Williamson

No, he just asked the liver specialist, like, is this a concern?

Lou Hannah

Right.

Anna Williamson

And the liver guy was like, no other things that flag.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, you then.

Anna Williamson

So, basically, anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am a healthy weight.

Anna Williamson

So can you please stop saying I'm too thin?

Anna Williamson

It's really annoying.

Anna Williamson

And.

Lou Hannah

And if I was worried about her as well, I'd tell her.

Anna Williamson

Also, I know, like, where I'm always cold and stuff.

Anna Williamson

Got low iron, which I kind of knew already.

Anna Williamson

So they then, like, give me a prescription for iron tablets or they make.

Lou Hannah

You constipated because I had those after I had Enzo.

Anna Williamson

Annoying.

Anna Williamson

I might just get.

Anna Williamson

Do you remember I had an iron transfusion.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, Yeah.

Anna Williamson

I might just get another one of those.

Lou Hannah

When you get those sachets, the iron sachets.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Do you remember we were sponsored by that iron company one.

Lou Hannah

I do take a lot of supplements.

Anna Williamson

I.

Anna Williamson

I'm not that good soul guard.

Lou Hannah

And this is not a massive plug.

Lou Hannah

Even though, full disclosure, I have done some work with Solga, but I do absolutely love.

Lou Hannah

They're the gold.

Lou Hannah

You know, the gold.

Lou Hannah

You go in a pharmacy, you'll just see Solga supplements.

Lou Hannah

Fantastic.

Lou Hannah

They're amazing, honestly.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, anyway, so basically did all blood tests and that, Then my brain mri.

Anna Williamson

They, you know.

Anna Williamson

Do you remember when sometimes I get migraines, but not that often.

Anna Williamson

Do you remember when we meant to record that podcast of Lad Baby and Lab Baby Mum?

Anna Williamson

And then I fell asleep because I had a migraine.

Anna Williamson

Everyone was like.

Lou Hannah

We were all sitting on it and I was ringing around half of Bl Start for Children.

Anna Williamson

I was in, like, Dixie's bed asleep.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, so I've got like this white dot on my brain.

Anna Williamson

And he was like, that's like white.

Anna Williamson

White brain matter or something.

Anna Williamson

But he said, do you get migraines?

Anna Williamson

And I was like, yeah.

Anna Williamson

He was like, we can see from this, like, white dot.

Anna Williamson

He said, it's nothing to be worried about, but there's nothing you can really do for it.

Anna Williamson

But I haven't got an aneurysm.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, go on.

Anna Williamson

You know, if you're a kind of OG Luthanian listener, you will know that we kind of had this running sick joke that I had throat cancer when.

Lou Hannah

I was a running.

Anna Williamson

When I.

Anna Williamson

Sick joke when I kept losing my voice and I went to see an ENT and we had nodules.

Anna Williamson

Nodules, blah, blah.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, the ENT did, like, at the time, which was probably about four or five years ago now, put like a camera up my nose without me thinking that was going to happen that day.

Anna Williamson

I looked at my throat, it was all fine.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, on the ultrasound, I have got nodules on my right thyroid and they rate them from one to five.

Anna Williamson

One being one is like fine.

Anna Williamson

Two, fine.

Anna Williamson

Four, suspected cancer.

Anna Williamson

Five, definite cancer.

Anna Williamson

I am a three, so I might actually have throat cancer.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Lou Hannah

I mean, let's, you know, let's.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Anna Williamson

I'm just saying.

Anna Williamson

I am always psychic.

Lou Hannah

Well, don't be.

Lou Hannah

Stop this nonsense.

Lou Hannah

No, no, we've talked about it.

Anna Williamson

I'm not that stressed about it.

Anna Williamson

I think it's going to be fine.

Lou Hannah

Because she's already told me this.

Lou Hannah

3.

Anna Williamson

That's why she doesn't sound shocked.

Anna Williamson

3.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, because I got all my stress out.

Lou Hannah

And then she did.

Lou Hannah

She was like, I'm freaking out.

Lou Hannah

She was like, what about the kids?

Lou Hannah

I'm gonna die.

Lou Hannah

I was gonna die.

Lou Hannah

And I was like, just calm down.

Lou Hannah

This is normally me.

Lou Hannah

That is the.

Lou Hannah

And I was.

Lou Hannah

And then my mate as well.

Lou Hannah

She.

Lou Hannah

She also got nodules.

Lou Hannah

She's.

Anna Williamson

She's quite common.

Lou Hannah

She says it's very common.

Lou Hannah

And.

Lou Hannah

And.

Lou Hannah

And apparently lots of people have them and don't know they've had them.

Lou Hannah

And.

Lou Hannah

And yeah, and even if she was told.

Lou Hannah

And this is not medical opinion, this is just what I've been told secondhand.

Lou Hannah

She was told that even if it was something really bad, apparently it's a real slow grower and someone else will see you off before that would.

Lou Hannah

Anyway, is what she.

Anna Williamson

Probably horse riding accident, so.

Lou Hannah

Well, there we go.

Lou Hannah

Now.

Lou Hannah

Now that's.

Lou Hannah

Anyway, not concerned, obviously, but good.

Anna Williamson

So referred me to this guy.

Anna Williamson

I've got an appointment end of the week, so I'll see him, find out.

Anna Williamson

They said they'll just biopsy it.

Lou Hannah

Biopsy?

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Sounds a bit grim, the whole biopsy thing.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Because they numb your whole.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

Oh, bless you.

Anna Williamson

And then they like go in.

Lou Hannah

In which?

Lou Hannah

The mouth or through the neck?

Anna Williamson

No, through the neck with a needle.

Lou Hannah

You'll be fine.

Anna Williamson

They apparently do loads of stabs.

Lou Hannah

If you'll be numbed.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I'll be numbed.

Anna Williamson

It actually doesn't overly bother me anyway, so I had a better nose.

Lou Hannah

We must.

Lou Hannah

Guys.

Lou Hannah

You must do it.

Lou Hannah

Go on.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Didn't realize they were gonna go up my fanny, did I?

Lou Hannah

Cool.

Lou Hannah

You should have.

Anna Williamson

So I wasn't that prep.

Anna Williamson

Well, I've had laser, so I'm never that hairy.

Lou Hannah

Had you washed?

Anna Williamson

Yeah, that was the Hoffman I had washed.

Anna Williamson

Obviously I had to wash that morning.

Lou Hannah

No waft going on there.

Anna Williamson

Like, I was like, oh, like, bit unprepared for this.

Anna Williamson

So there I am.

Anna Williamson

Take the pants off behind the Curtain.

Anna Williamson

Have a little look of white matter in there.

Anna Williamson

So I'm all right.

Anna Williamson

Spitting on my hand, trying to.

Anna Williamson

Trying to rub it a bit before.

Anna Williamson

Get the white bit.

Lou Hannah

I like to call that the smudge.

Lou Hannah

It's the vag smudge.

Lou Hannah

Do you know what I mean?

Lou Hannah

It's a bit pasty.

Lou Hannah

It's sort of week two of.

Lou Hannah

Week two of.

Lou Hannah

Of your ovulation process.

Anna Williamson

And I was trying to do it really quickly so that, like, they didn't think, what is she doing back there?

Lou Hannah

I find.

Anna Williamson

Rub it.

Anna Williamson

Trying to get all the little bits.

Lou Hannah

When Mia from Aquatox does my laser and I take my pants off, I do something.

Anna Williamson

They give you like baby wipes first?

Lou Hannah

Well, yeah, but sometimes I get really worried that Mia's gonna see the smudge in my pants.

Lou Hannah

So I sort of try to kick them under the table or put them in my bag.

Anna Williamson

No, but mine was like a little bit of whitey around the innie.

Lou Hannah

Oh, she would.

Lou Hannah

All right.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Anna Williamson

So it wasn't great anyway.

Anna Williamson

And I had washed that morning.

Anna Williamson

Judgment babes like nervous secretion.

Lou Hannah

Nervous secretion it was.

Anna Williamson

So basically, then some crust around the old smear.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I haven't got the results of that yet.

Lou Hannah

When was the last time you had a smear?

Anna Williamson

Two years ago.

Lou Hannah

Oh, fine.

Lou Hannah

So you're.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, yeah, I had my smear recently.

Anna Williamson

Did my boobs.

Anna Williamson

But I'm, you know, I am quite an awkward person sometimes.

Anna Williamson

So they had to get a chaperone in because that's their rules.

Lou Hannah

Sure, that's everywhere.

Anna Williamson

Lovely young girl comes in.

Anna Williamson

She only 24.

Anna Williamson

And I was like, oh, don't tell me.

Lou Hannah

She was a new funny.

Anna Williamson

And.

Anna Williamson

No, she.

Lou Hannah

Or she wouldn't have said.

Anna Williamson

She didn't say what she was.

Anna Williamson

No.

Anna Williamson

And then there I am, my tits out.

Anna Williamson

It's feeling the tits.

Anna Williamson

And I was like, oh, hope I haven't got hairy nipples.

Anna Williamson

Like, why do I say these things?

Lou Hannah

I mean.

Anna Williamson

I mean, why did I say that?

Anna Williamson

And then there's like this awkward laughter from everyone and me just feeling like, why, Louisa, why?

Anna Williamson

And then like, he's there between my legs and I went off not prepared for this.

Anna Williamson

Or my legs are a bit crusty.

Anna Williamson

They're not very shaven.

Anna Williamson

You know, like when you get all dry legs and they look like scaly skin.

Lou Hannah

I just kept on playing things.

Lou Hannah

It's filling.

Lou Hannah

It's filling the awkward silence with the prattle.

Anna Williamson

It's just even more awkward.

Lou Hannah

I do exactly the same thing.

Lou Hannah

Awkward when I had.

Lou Hannah

When.

Lou Hannah

Especially when someone has their hand up your vag.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

I mean we are a bit more used to it since having babies.

Lou Hannah

But even still, when I recently had my smear and had me old cyst, the V cyst checked and they stuck that wand up, you know the wand ultrasound thing again.

Lou Hannah

You just find yourself just prattling absolute.

Lou Hannah

I know you know about your vag.

Anna Williamson

Well, I've got a sister on my ovary.

Anna Williamson

This is.

Anna Williamson

That's nothing to worry about.

Lou Hannah

Okay, well that's fine.

Anna Williamson

So very informative.

Anna Williamson

I mean you could see the bulges are still in my back and bulge in my neck and I knew that cuz my neck's been hurting.

Lou Hannah

So.

Lou Hannah

So other than just getting this little, little nodule cyst checked out, we are a full bill of health.

Anna Williamson

I'm full bit of health.

Lou Hannah

That's it, baby.

Anna Williamson

So there you go.

Lou Hannah

Okay, well we look forward to.

Anna Williamson

Also good, good eyes.

Anna Williamson

They check your eyes.

Anna Williamson

Hearing test.

Anna Williamson

Very good hearing.

Anna Williamson

I knew I had good hearing.

Anna Williamson

I hear everything.

Anna Williamson

I can hear like if I'm in a restaurant, I hear everybody else's conversations.

Anna Williamson

I'd make a good spy who actually would.

Anna Williamson

Although I'm quite obvious person.

Lou Hannah

So maybe not quite obvious and you'd probably be quite confrontational.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, so that, that's my news of the week.

Anna Williamson

I have got, well, big news.

Anna Williamson

I have got nodules which we have suspected for six years.

Anna Williamson

And so basically now I'm like a doctor.

Anna Williamson

I mean and a psychic, I would say.

Lou Hannah

I say you may as well just go and get that, that little hat they stick on you.

Lou Hannah

And the doctorate and the scroll now, babes.

Anna Williamson

Well listen, I want one of those.

Anna Williamson

Do you think that we could black.

Anna Williamson

I really want a degree because I.

Lou Hannah

Never want an honorary degree in services to psychotherapy.

Anna Williamson

I want an honorary honorary degree in anything.

Anna Williamson

I actually don't care what it is, anything.

Anna Williamson

I just want to have one.

Lou Hannah

Be nice, wouldn't it?

Lou Hannah

Maybe that could be.

Anna Williamson

We've got some uni person that listens to this.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

How can we get an honorary degree?

Lou Hannah

Yeah, I mean I'm always seeing celebs getting some honorary degree from somewhere for doing something.

Anna Williamson

What have they done?

Anna Williamson

Not a lot.

Lou Hannah

I mean they might have probably done quite a lot but.

Lou Hannah

Well, listen, as always with Luana, you know, we like to bring our, our issues to you.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I'd be vag sis got that checked.

Lou Hannah

We are fine.

Lou Hannah

We're now going to get that one checked.

Lou Hannah

So this is a little reminder to everybody.

Lou Hannah

Don't let your health go.

Lou Hannah

You've got to prioritize.

Anna Williamson

I'll be able to Update on the next pod because very quickly it happens.

Lou Hannah

And I want to just get booked in for these.

Lou Hannah

I want to get.

Lou Hannah

Honestly.

Anna Williamson

So I know the cardiologist there, so I did get a 15.

Lou Hannah

Did you?

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I honestly, I said this for you.

Anna Williamson

You and I should both go.

Anna Williamson

Aneurysm or something.

Anna Williamson

You don't know.

Anna Williamson

That's how young people drop down.

Lou Hannah

And, and also, you know, it sounds really morbid but, you know, there are in both sides of our families, you know, premature deaths that have gone on, you know, due to certain, you know, things.

Lou Hannah

And I think it's important to know and you know, if you can afford it.

Lou Hannah

Obviously it's a lot of money, but I'm a big believer in, you know, robbing Peter to pay Paul, you know, and if it means we economize.

Anna Williamson

She's a pauper, guys.

Anna Williamson

Loaded.

Lou Hannah

She always keeps saying this.

Lou Hannah

Honestly, she's never seen my bank account.

Lou Hannah

No, but.

Lou Hannah

No, but I'm.

Lou Hannah

I feel quite strongly about that.

Lou Hannah

My parents have always said, no, you should go.

Anna Williamson

It'd be really good for your.

Lou Hannah

But it would be really good for my hypochondria.

Lou Hannah

But I think if you can.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I appreciate, you know, people are having a penny pinch a lot nowadays, but you know, if you can.

Lou Hannah

I think it's always important.

Lou Hannah

Well, listen, I've had a great week.

Lou Hannah

Last week I was away, I was doing a little, A little event that I always do.

Lou Hannah

I want to just quick shout out to a lot of Luffanians that I met who, who were absolutely hilarious and actually every time I walked up to them, they would actually go like.

Lou Hannah

And it was, I mean, very sweet, very sweet.

Lou Hannah

And they kept over apologizing for, you know, being fans of this, of the show.

Lou Hannah

We love it.

Lou Hannah

We bloody love it.

Lou Hannah

So hello to Nick, Nicole, Louise, Claire.

Anna Williamson

Hello there.

Lou Hannah

There were loads of man fans that were coming up to me, Andy.

Lou Hannah

There were loads, loads of wonderful people.

Anna Williamson

We love that.

Lou Hannah

Honestly, it was.

Lou Hannah

It was really great to see everyone also.

Lou Hannah

Also a little bit.

Lou Hannah

I've just had to quickly check because I wanted to do a little a thank you to Emily from Bracknell.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Lou Hannah

A couple of weeks ago she was on our.

Lou Hannah

Luana totally obviously is on Thursdays.

Lou Hannah

Anna Williamson

We're investing.

Lou Hannah

She's stressing out about curtains.

Anna Williamson

Curtains.

Anna Williamson

Stressing the wrong side.

Lou Hannah

But you're now going to see us and watch us as well as listen to us.

Lou Hannah

Lots of people are excited about that.

Lou Hannah

So, as Lou says, go to the link in our bio in our Instagrams and.

Lou Hannah

And please do subscribe now and sign up because you don't want to miss it.

Anna Williamson

Subscribe now.

Lou Hannah

Subscribe now.

Lou Hannah

Subscribe now.

Anna Williamson

Subscribe squad now.

Lou Hannah

Also.

Lou Hannah

So, yeah, Emily from Brackenock in Totally Extra the other week, she talked about being fed up with rude people.

Lou Hannah

It was the checkout person, you know, when they.

Lou Hannah

When they just ignore you.

Lou Hannah

And.

Lou Hannah

And actually she inspired me this week because we like to do.

Lou Hannah

And I just wanted to say thank you for this.

Lou Hannah

When a rant inspires.

Lou Hannah

Because I went to going.

Lou Hannah

But we like to do family tea on a Friday or a Saturday night, whatever.

Anna Williamson

Bonding.

Lou Hannah

Bonding with the fudge.

Lou Hannah

Have a game of Uno over tea and all that.

Lou Hannah

And we like to.

Lou Hannah

Alex, like, let's go to Turkish.

Lou Hannah

We're like a Turkish.

Lou Hannah

Because kids enjoy it.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

And the kids enjoy Turkish as well.

Lou Hannah

Brilliant.

Lou Hannah

So there's a couple near where we live.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

So I'll ring one of them up, pick up.

Lou Hannah

Guy picks up the phone.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

This is the conversation.

Anna Williamson

Baited breath.

Anna Williamson

Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring.

Lou Hannah

He answers.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, that's him.

Anna Williamson

What?

Lou Hannah

And I was like, oh, hello.

Lou Hannah

Is that blah, blah, blah.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Oh, and then he's got there.

Lou Hannah

Then I thought my.

Lou Hannah

My heels sort of dug in.

Anna Williamson

Did you think, I don't want to order from you now?

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

Well, this is it.

Lou Hannah

So then I went.

Lou Hannah

And I went, can I please book a table for, you know, dinner?

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Oh.

Lou Hannah

So I waited.

Lou Hannah

And he went, I'm listening.

Lou Hannah

He said.

Lou Hannah

So I then was like, okay, it's for four of us.

Lou Hannah

Name, you know, 4, 30.

Lou Hannah

Yep.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Lou Hannah

And then put the phone down.

Lou Hannah

Five minutes later, I thought, no, no.

Anna Williamson

Oh, you've taken a stand against me.

Anna Williamson

I've taken a set about Emily from Bracknell.

Lou Hannah

I called him straight back up again.

Lou Hannah

Obviously checked with the other Turkish.

Lou Hannah

They had room.

Lou Hannah

So rang up the other Turkish.

Lou Hannah

Very Nice.

Lou Hannah

Booked us a table.

Lou Hannah

I'm not giving, I'm not giving you our pennies and our pounds service.

Lou Hannah

No, you've lost us, mate.

Anna Williamson

Mate.

Lou Hannah

So I thought again, I am going to always judge myself by my own standards.

Lou Hannah

I could have just ghosted them and not bothered bringing back together.

Lou Hannah

I didn't because that's not who I am.

Anna Williamson

No, you wanted to tell him he was a rude.

Lou Hannah

Basically, yeah.

Lou Hannah

But also, you know, I'm going to live by my own standards and values.

Lou Hannah

So I rang him back up and I said, I just booked a table five minutes ago, I'd actually like to cancel it.

Lou Hannah

He was like, all right.

Lou Hannah

And I said, I'm not going to tell you why.

Anna Williamson

Oh.

Lou Hannah

I said, because you were incredibly rude, incredibly unwelcoming.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

Frankly, it's a lot of money to take your family out for tea.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

Like, you're dropping 100 quid by the time you've all had, you know, starters drinks and all that, that's what you're doing.

Lou Hannah

And I went, I'm taking my money elsewhere.

Lou Hannah

So I'm afraid you have lost a customer every Saturday for life.

Anna Williamson

And what did he say?

Lou Hannah

Not a lot.

Lou Hannah

All right.

Lou Hannah

Right.

Lou Hannah

So anyway, thank you, Emily, because you reminded me we don't need to tolerate Rudy.

Anna Williamson

No, we don't.

Lou Hannah

You need to vote with your feet and go, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Anna Williamson

So there we are, talking about voting.

Anna Williamson

Trump's in.

Lou Hannah

I know.

Lou Hannah

God.

Lou Hannah

I mean, him doing that dancing of the ymca, I didn't see that job.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I mean, I'm sort of weirdly here for all the novishes.

Lou Hannah

The novishness.

Lou Hannah

Like, I'm not here for him, but I'm here for the novishness.

Anna Williamson

But there's something about his personality that I kind of like.

Lou Hannah

I, I, I don't.

Lou Hannah

But I just find him hilarious.

Anna Williamson

Look, he is.

Anna Williamson

No, Boris, let's be honest, it's just.

Lou Hannah

Alan Partridge all over.

Lou Hannah

Everything he does is just a meme, as you say.

Lou Hannah

And then you've got all these people, then, like, these die hard.

Lou Hannah

Oh, my God.

Lou Hannah

He's like, jesus, he's gotta save the world.

Lou Hannah

And I'm like, all right, Sandy from Wisconsin, you go, girl.

Lou Hannah

He's gotta say.

Lou Hannah

He's like, jesus has got in.

Lou Hannah

We've got the Savior.

Lou Hannah

And I'm like, go.

Anna Williamson

And then Elon Musk with his old salute.

Lou Hannah

I mean, it's all going on.

Anna Williamson

That, that was a bit like, why would you do that?

Anna Williamson

Even if you're.

Anna Williamson

Did you see Elon Musk's Nazi salute.

Lou Hannah

No, sorry.

Anna Williamson

Have you not seen this?

Lou Hannah

No.

Lou Hannah

When did he do that?

Anna Williamson

I have to show you.

Lou Hannah

Oh, give me that.

Lou Hannah

Oh, my gosh, if that isn't.

Anna Williamson

No, I mean, that's.

Anna Williamson

No, you don't.

Lou Hannah

I mean, that is canceled, surely.

Anna Williamson

Well, it's.

Lou Hannah

Can I just say once.

Lou Hannah

I remember once doing that as a joke in front of my grandma.

Anna Williamson

Did she go.

Lou Hannah

She went nuts.

Lou Hannah

I.

Lou Hannah

We were learning about it at school and I went and did a Nazi slew when Harl Hitler.

Lou Hannah

And she literally nearly, like, slapped me around the face.

Lou Hannah

And she was like, your granddad nearly died in the war.

Lou Hannah

I remember thinking, geez, I didn't understand.

Lou Hannah

I didn't understand the political landscape back then when I was nine.

Lou Hannah

Oh, wow.

Lou Hannah

Oh, wow.

Anna Williamson

So when you see that.

Lou Hannah

So she showed me a picture of Elon Musk doing a proper, like, yeah, fascist salute.

Anna Williamson

So when you see that, that's bad.

Anna Williamson

But can I put it into context?

Anna Williamson

So people are seeing this on Instagram that are so bad.

Anna Williamson

By the way, I'm not an Elon Musk fan.

Anna Williamson

I actually don't really give a.

Anna Williamson

About him either way.

Anna Williamson

But he was like, I give you my heart.

Lou Hannah

Oh, is that what it is?

Anna Williamson

So he's taken his heart and, like, thrown it out.

Anna Williamson

And that was scream, grant, scream, grab.

Lou Hannah

Scream, grab.

Anna Williamson

That was how he said it.

Anna Williamson

He was like, thank you, thank you.

Anna Williamson

I give you my heart.

Anna Williamson

I give you my heart.

Anna Williamson

So it's like grabbing his heart and throwing it out to the audience, like in this giving heart.

Anna Williamson

And people are now screen grabbed the whole boom, boom.

Anna Williamson

And cut what he said before.

Anna Williamson

So it looks like he's doing a Nazi slit now then the, like, you know, not glitterati.

Anna Williamson

What's it called?

Lou Hannah

Literati.

Anna Williamson

No, Illuminati.

Lou Hannah

Illuminati.

Anna Williamson

They're all like, oh, this is like.

Anna Williamson

He is, like, doing the Nazi salute and this is the.

Anna Williamson

The end and blah, blah.

Anna Williamson

So there's all these differing opinions.

Anna Williamson

There's been so much going around, whirling around.

Anna Williamson

Elon, was he just throwing his heart out?

Anna Williamson

Was it a Nazi?

Anna Williamson

Or was it like, oh, wow, it's all kicked off.

Anna Williamson

But America is giving us a lot of memes at the minute and.

Anna Williamson

And I am kind of here for it, but I am sorry for Americans.

Lou Hannah

Some.

Lou Hannah

Some.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, yeah.

Lou Hannah

I mean, o.

Anna Williamson

Come on, though.

Anna Williamson

Biden was about to die.

Anna Williamson

He had no brain left.

Lou Hannah

I mean.

Anna Williamson

Nah, he was a bit of a weirdo, too.

Lou Hannah

I was watching one about with Baron Trump also.

Lou Hannah

They wish to be rude.

Lou Hannah

This is not me being rude.

Lou Hannah

Trump's kid, the 18 year old boy, he looks like grew from despicable.

Lou Hannah

Me four.

Anna Williamson

I actually know who I thought they are.

Lou Hannah

He literally looks like.

Anna Williamson

Because I saw this weird looking kid.

Lou Hannah

Like he looks like gruff from Despicable.

Lou Hannah

Now you know I've said it right.

Lou Hannah

You can't unsee it, can you?

Lou Hannah

You can't, can you see, you heard it here first.

Lou Hannah

It is.

Lou Hannah

I know.

Anna Williamson

Is that Melania's son then?

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

She looks pretty good to be fair.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, we need her surgeon.

Anna Williamson

Add her to the list.

Lou Hannah

I mean, Melania is looking good.

Anna Williamson

Sienna Miller, have you seen her recently?

Lou Hannah

Yes.

Lou Hannah

Oh, I mean there's some, there's some good.

Lou Hannah

There's some good work going on.

Lou Hannah

Allegedly.

Lou Hannah

They might do.

Lou Hannah

We don't know if they do.

Anna Williamson

These women a gatekeeping from us normal peasants.

Anna Williamson

I wanna live like common.

Lou Hannah

How is, how is living like a common person?

Anna Williamson

Gangly after last week, it's going well.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, that's the common thing.

Lou Hannah

You've done this.

Lou Hannah

Well, your kids are going to the supermarket today, so well done.

Anna Williamson

Tomorrow.

Lou Hannah

Tomorrow.

Anna Williamson

So not with me.

Lou Hannah

Their big outing of the week.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, they're going.

Lou Hannah

Hello, children.

Lou Hannah

Come and see how common folk live.

Anna Williamson

No, Dixie's going to supermarket with her friends because she's having a little weekend.

Lou Hannah

They'll need a pound.

Anna Williamson

She's coming, she's having a staycation with her friends and they're going to live in the cottage for the weekend so they're allowed to go to Tesco and get some snacks.

Lou Hannah

Give her a pound for the trolley.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, you'll need that.

Anna Williamson

No, not in our Tesco.

Lou Hannah

Oh, no, it's a posture.

Anna Williamson

Don't charge you.

Anna Williamson

You know when you're somewhere rough, when you get charged for the trolleys, don't you?

Anna Williamson

You do know that's how you.

Anna Williamson

You can class the supermarket by whether you have to bring your little trolley.

Lou Hannah

Token and whether they lock up meat behind fridge, behind padlocks.

Lou Hannah

Now, it's a big thing now, shoplifting, lock up meat and alcohol.

Lou Hannah

I mean, that's quite.

Lou Hannah

I suppose alcohol.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, that's always happened.

Lou Hannah

No, some, some high baby formula.

Anna Williamson

Big, big, big issue with shoplifting.

Lou Hannah

Big, big issue.

Anna Williamson

Well, there's a big issue because they can't do anything.

Anna Williamson

They have their security and they're actually not allowed to touch people.

Lou Hannah

Well, I think we touched on this the other way.

Lou Hannah

They've pretty much decriminalized.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, shoplifting now.

Lou Hannah

Anyway, we have.

Lou Hannah

Anyway, listen, I say let's stick with us at Luana and we'll bring the jazz.

Lou Hannah

Right?

Lou Hannah

I don't Know why she's put massage.

Anna Williamson

Okay, so let's just carry.

Lou Hannah

We'll move on.

Anna Williamson

I know because of my weird massage in Dubai, but we'll talk about that another time.

Lou Hannah

Okay, Fine.

Anna Williamson

Yes.

Anna Williamson

Remember that.

Lou Hannah

I do.

Lou Hannah

Right.

Lou Hannah

Do you want.

Lou Hannah

We'll.

Lou Hannah

We'll keep people hanging on for that.

Anna Williamson

We'll keep you hanging.

Lou Hannah

We'll keep hanging for that.

Anna Williamson

And I tried to get you to go and have fun, and then you didn't.

Anna Williamson

You should have done that was out of order.

Anna Williamson

You put me through that ordeal.

Lou Hannah

I'll let you down.

Anna Williamson

Oh, I've got an update on it.

Anna Williamson

Okay.

Anna Williamson

I'm gonna tell you next week.

Lou Hannah

Okay.

Lou Hannah

Tell next week.

Anna Williamson

Anyway, it's time for.

Lou Hannah

Did you know without him.

Anna Williamson

Could I just say.

Anna Williamson

We didn't rehearse that.

Lou Hannah

This is how in sync we are now, Lou.

Lou Hannah

Like I am.

Lou Hannah

I'm freaking myself out.

Lou Hannah

Alinor as well.

Anna Williamson

We just.

Lou Hannah

Is there a double act like us?

Lou Hannah

No.

Lou Hannah

No, there really isn't.

Lou Hannah

We dress the same.

Anna Williamson

We sound the same.

Anna Williamson

We've got the same socks.

Lou Hannah

We don't have the same gunt.

Anna Williamson

Mine is called size of My husband's A dog.

Lou Hannah

A dog.

Anna Williamson

We swap sperm.

Lou Hannah

I've given you my husband's sperm in your coffee this morning.

Anna Williamson

Oh, don't.

Anna Williamson

That made me sick.

Anna Williamson

Right?

Anna Williamson

Elephants weigh less than the tongue of a blue whale.

Lou Hannah

Good Lord.

Anna Williamson

And a blue whale's heart is the size of a car.

Lou Hannah

I mean, that's huge.

Lou Hannah

That's a lot of love.

Lou Hannah

A lot of love from a whale.

Anna Williamson

Oh, that is a lot of love.

Anna Williamson

Blue whales are the largest creatures to ever roam the Earth.

Lou Hannah

Do you want a whale?

Anna Williamson

Yeah, you do.

Lou Hannah

You are our very own Veruca Salt.

Lou Hannah

Do you want a whale?

Anna Williamson

Whale?

Lou Hannah

Pop a little whale in the lake.

Anna Williamson

No, it wouldn't fit, would it?

Lou Hannah

Probably wouldn't fit, babes.

Anna Williamson

No.

Anna Williamson

It'll be too shallow.

Lou Hannah

Big.

Lou Hannah

Big.

Lou Hannah

You know when you see.

Anna Williamson

Sometimes I like an animal fat, you know?

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

You know, like on reels where you see, like, I get really freaked out when I see, like, you know, paddle borders and then.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

Massive way.

Anna Williamson

I know.

Lou Hannah

I'm like.

Lou Hannah

I would actually die of a panic attack.

Anna Williamson

I would.

Anna Williamson

I would.

Lou Hannah

For real.

Anna Williamson

Because I don't really like the sea.

Lou Hannah

I hate the sea.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

I'm a land mammal.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

I can't do that.

Anna Williamson

And I like doing lamb mammal things.

Lou Hannah

I can't even go on donuts anymore.

Lou Hannah

You know, like when you go, oh.

Anna Williamson

I can go on that.

Anna Williamson

Remember when I can water ski?

Lou Hannah

You know, we went when we got.

Anna Williamson

A yacht this year.

Anna Williamson

Oh, by the way, guys, we're going.

Lou Hannah

On a yacht again.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, we said that.

Anna Williamson

Well, are you gonna do the.

Anna Williamson

Are you gonna do the.

Lou Hannah

The jet?

Anna Williamson

That's a big slide on this.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, I know, I know.

Lou Hannah

I'll do that.

Lou Hannah

And also, you know, when we did like last time, you got those little rocket things you hold on to, then they like buzz you around.

Lou Hannah

I don't mind if I keep moving in the water.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, because then you' It's.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, exactly.

Lou Hannah

I'm fine if I'm doing that.

Lou Hannah

Otherwise then I freak out.

Anna Williamson

Maybe we should do a podcast Live from the yacht.

Lou Hannah

That would be quite fun.

Lou Hannah

We've got Lucy there.

Lou Hannah

Lucy Cave from Lorraine.

Lou Hannah

She could be our heat man, our producer.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, well, we could do like some kind of live stream thing for our YouTube.

Lou Hannah

Let's do that live.

Anna Williamson

Not live.

Lou Hannah

Let's do that.

Lou Hannah

That would be really fun.

Anna Williamson

We should do a little drunk 21 questions with.

Anna Williamson

We've done that before.

Lou Hannah

Guys.

Lou Hannah

We're also really excited today because we've got a Luana announcement.

Lou Hannah

You may have seen it as we just.

Lou Hannah

Just cunningly dropped it over the weekend, but we have listened to you, loads of you, enjoyed the big festive night in and we've got Valentine's coming up in a couple of weeks.

Lou Hannah

You know what we thought.

Lou Hannah

You know what?

Lou Hannah

Love is in the air.

Lou Hannah

Luanna is in the air.

Lou Hannah

We're all about friendship.

Lou Hannah

So we are exclusively hosting the big Galentine's night in.

Lou Hannah

It's going to be on Thursday 13th February, 8pm Fully interactive.

Lou Hannah

Lots of fun, lots of games.

Lou Hannah

Got a few surprises in store.

Lou Hannah

So many of you loved it.

Lou Hannah

We love doing it for you as well.

Lou Hannah

So listen, no need to be sad and single this Valentine's.

Lou Hannah

Just embrace your mates, embrace us, and if you want to get your tickets to come and join us, please get them right now.

Lou Hannah

All you have to do is go to everythingluana.com or Luanna Live and we'll see you there.

Anna Williamson

Right, we've got a message from Anonymous.

Anna Williamson

I called you, Pat.

Anna Williamson

Curry Sauce confession from the Secret Santa.

Anna Williamson

Oh.

Lou Hannah

Oh, my God.

Lou Hannah

Oh, my God.

Lou Hannah

This is the update of the update that we've all been waiting for.

Lou Hannah

Guys.

Anna Williamson

My God.

Lou Hannah

Guys.

Anna Williamson

Okay.

Lou Hannah

This is the update of the update of the Curry sauce woman that went viral.

Lou Hannah

You need to listen to the rest of this episode.

Anna Williamson

Basically a little bit of history.

Anna Williamson

We had a thing in Viro from Viro.

Anna Williamson

Message from a lady that went viral.

Anna Williamson

She makes.

Anna Williamson

Been making this curry for her family for 20 years.

Anna Williamson

They think it's Amazing.

Anna Williamson

It's actually a shop bought curry sauce.

Lou Hannah

And she's of Indian heritage, so it's a really big deal.

Anna Williamson

Really big deal.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

So then for Christmas, their family had a secret Santa and she got a jar of the exact curry sauce which from her sister in law.

Anna Williamson

She then wrote into us and was like, think I've been rumbled.

Anna Williamson

This is now.

Lou Hannah

She didn't know it was this.

Lou Hannah

She suspected it was because it was Secret Santa.

Anna Williamson

She didn't know who it was.

Lou Hannah

For real.

Anna Williamson

Right, here we.

Anna Williamson

Here we go.

Anna Williamson

The update.

Anna Williamson

To the update.

Anna Williamson

To the update.

Anna Williamson

Hi, ladies.

Anna Williamson

Oh my God.

Anna Williamson

Where do I start?

Anna Williamson

I've been forced to email in as I'm scared.

Anna Williamson

What?

Anna Williamson

Marcia?

Anna Williamson

It was actually Miriam, but Marcia is catchy.

Anna Williamson

The curry lady will do next.

Anna Williamson

Our next family curry night is on Friday 31st January.

Anna Williamson

So I hope my sister in law hears this before then and it's just happened.

Anna Williamson

Her technology skills are as good as her cooking skills.

Lou Hannah

Oh, it's happening this week.

Lou Hannah

It's happening this week.

Anna Williamson

Shit.

Anna Williamson

So I don't think I will be rumbling an extravagant reveal as I type this.

Anna Williamson

The Taylor Swift song.

Anna Williamson

Look what you made me do is playing round and around in my head.

Anna Williamson

Marcia, look what you made me do.

Anna Williamson

I'm really sorry and we love you, but you outed yourself.

Lou Hannah

Here we go.

Anna Williamson

Okay, deep breath, breath.

Anna Williamson

Here's the thing.

Lou Hannah

What?

Anna Williamson

Yes, yes, it was me who gave you the curry sauce at Christmas.

Anna Williamson

I was intrigued if you would spill then.

Anna Williamson

Especially after I sent you the podcast episode.

Anna Williamson

And I have to say, you lied like a pro.

Anna Williamson

The thing is.

Anna Williamson

This is so good.

Lou Hannah

My God, this is so good.

Anna Williamson

The thing is, it's much, much worse than you lying to my brother for 20 years.

Lou Hannah

Oh my God.

Lou Hannah

Here we go.

Anna Williamson

Here goes.

Anna Williamson

And please don't hate me.

Anna Williamson

Rewind back to May 2004.

Anna Williamson

I remember the date as it's also your official anniversary.

Lou Hannah

Go on.

Anna Williamson

My brother was really excited to go to your flat as you were cooking him dinner.

Anna Williamson

He called me the next day to ask for advice.

Anna Williamson

He said the evening went really well and you had made a curry.

Anna Williamson

The dilemma he had was when he went to take the empty wine bottle to the bin, he noticed.

Anna Williamson

Oh, my empty glass, jar of curry sauce at the bottom.

Anna Williamson

He didn't know why, but he lifted it out of the bin and had a sniff.

Anna Williamson

Yep, it was the same smell that he'd just eaten.

Lou Hannah

Stop it.

Anna Williamson

Thinking how funny it was and assumed that you would fess up.

Anna Williamson

He came back to the table and ask you more questions to see if.

Lou Hannah

You would complain it's like an ITV who done its psychological drama, but instead.

Anna Williamson

You gave an Oscar performance about the history of this.

Anna Williamson

About the history of this recipe.

Anna Williamson

And the evening ended with you inviting my brother's family over to try your family's secret recipe passed down by generations of women.

Anna Williamson

Oh, my God.

Anna Williamson

The joke's on her.

Anna Williamson

It's been on her.

Anna Williamson

She's been.

Lou Hannah

Keep going, Lou.

Lou Hannah

Never have I been so excited about a message on Luanna.

Anna Williamson

He was asking me advice what to do as he was really quite concerned about how much detail you gave about the curry and that it was this secret family recipe.

Anna Williamson

He felt awkward, so he went along with it as he really liked you.

Anna Williamson

He didn't want to cause you any upset in your new relationship at the time.

Anna Williamson

I advised him to go along with it as I'm sure once you got to know each other better, you would confess.

Anna Williamson

I'm not sure how the curry night became a regular thing and my brother and I went along with the story to our parents who still don't know about the recipe being passed down for generations.

Lou Hannah

They don't know, but they know.

Anna Williamson

They know they know and she doesn't know that they know.

Anna Williamson

They know and they've known the whole time.

Lou Hannah

They've all been.

Anna Williamson

He knew before the lie.

Lou Hannah

They've all been playing this out for 20 years.

Anna Williamson

This is brilliant.

Anna Williamson

Over the years, we've wondered if either of you would tell or if we would tell you that we knew.

Anna Williamson

The biggest giveaway is we know you can't cook.

Anna Williamson

Please imagine what I write next is like the tick tock suspect on the right, which we did on our Suspect made a roast chicken dinner and didn't take the chicken out of the plastic packaging whilst cooking it.

Anna Williamson

Suspect insisted that the bottom tray of the Viennetta ice cream was chocolate and spent far too long trying to slice through it until accepted it was plastic, not chocolate.

Anna Williamson

Suspect should have shares in toaster companies as she has set on fire at least five toasters in the last five years.

Anna Williamson

Suspect attempts to make homemade bread.

Anna Williamson

It was like a brick.

Anna Williamson

And was even rejected by the birds and the pigeons who eat anything.

Anna Williamson

So my brother and I decided a long time ago to just never say anything as at least the shop brought curry sauce was edible.

Lou Hannah

Some are very nice.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Although can you please stop putting.

Lou Hannah

Oh, that is so tricky.

Lou Hannah

Savage.

Anna Williamson

Can you please stop putting bloody bananas in it?

Anna Williamson

And when we first read this story, Anna, we were like, oh.

Lou Hannah

Oh.

Lou Hannah

She was really proud of the bananas.

Lou Hannah

It's the one thing she put in of a Patak sauce or whatever she uses.

Anna Williamson

They don't like the bananas.

Lou Hannah

They don't like the bananas, babes.

Anna Williamson

Right.

Anna Williamson

So your sister in law goes on to say.

Anna Williamson

We promise not to tell my mum and dad your dirty little secret.

Anna Williamson

You dirty pig.

Lou Hannah

Dirty.

Anna Williamson

If you also forgive us for enabling.

Anna Williamson

You're over.

Anna Williamson

This is just so good.

Anna Williamson

Enabling.

Anna Williamson

Your over exaggerating preparation of your curry for 20 years.

Anna Williamson

Now you will have so much time on your hands.

Anna Williamson

Do us all a favour and sign up for a cooking class.

Anna Williamson

Perhaps that will be next year's Christmas present.

Lou Hannah

This is a great family.

Anna Williamson

Please keep me anon and call me Pat.

Lou Hannah

Yes.

Anna Williamson

After the infamous Pataks curry.

Lou Hannah

That's what it was all along.

Anna Williamson

Can I just say.

Anna Williamson

Can I put this out there?

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Can we get Mrs.

Anna Williamson

Patak or some other kind of Indian cooking influencer to come to Luana hq?

Anna Williamson

I want to invite this woman.

Lou Hannah

Yes.

Anna Williamson

And I want her to do it for our YouTube cook.

Anna Williamson

Him.

Lou Hannah

Do you know what?

Lou Hannah

I can't remember her name.

Lou Hannah

There's a very lovely lady that I did a cooking course.

Lou Hannah

Indian Chef.

Anna Williamson

See, we're gonna.

Lou Hannah

We'll put this out there.

Anna Williamson

No.

Anna Williamson

The MasterChef.

Anna Williamson

And she cooked at my friend Etti's dinner party.

Anna Williamson

She's a.

Anna Williamson

She's a Luana.

Anna Williamson

And I'm really sorry I can't remember your name.

Anna Williamson

And I've met you and you've cooked for me.

Anna Williamson

I'm pretty sure it was MasterChef.

Anna Williamson

You're on.

Anna Williamson

And I know that you listen to Luanna if you do and you're willing to come to my house and do a cooking lesson for.

Anna Williamson

We don't know where this lady is in the country.

Lou Hannah

But we'll make this happen.

Anna Williamson

We're gonna make this happen for our YouTube.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, we would.

Anna Williamson

What?

Anna Williamson

Who are you?

Anna Williamson

What should I.

Anna Williamson

Who are you?

Anna Williamson

What's your name?

Anna Williamson

Please write into IMO or send me a DM'd.

Anna Williamson

Each other.

Lou Hannah

Yes.

Anna Williamson

We want to get you and we want to do a cooking.

Anna Williamson

And we' the sister in law too.

Lou Hannah

With a proper Indian chef that can help you cook an actual proper curry from scratch.

Anna Williamson

We then need to blend together the initial viral story with the second one with this one with the cooking and make it into a whole episode.

Anna Williamson

This is basically of indie Indian fashions.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

Indian Confessions from a Indian Family.

Lou Hannah

This is probably like this is your life.

Lou Hannah

And you know what?

Lou Hannah

We want to see this through right until the end.

Lou Hannah

You sound like a great family.

Lou Hannah

The fact that you can have that.

Lou Hannah

This great.

Anna Williamson

There is nothing better than an Indian family.

Anna Williamson

When I lived in Derby, all our neighbors were Indian and we had the best crack with all these Indian neighbors.

Lou Hannah

I've got an idea.

Lou Hannah

Sorry, I've just realized I don't know her personally but my friend, you'll know who is as well.

Lou Hannah

Dr.

Lou Hannah

Amir Khan.

Lou Hannah

Who is the doctor on the telly.

Lou Hannah

Does you know all the morning shows.

Lou Hannah

But he always goes on about Mama Khan and I know Amy.

Lou Hannah

I could even text Amir if you want.

Lou Hannah

Now, Mama Khan, his.

Lou Hannah

His mom is quite famous on his Instagram for being.

Lou Hannah

She's just like a really traditional.

Lou Hannah

She's a trading.

Anna Williamson

We need a trad Indian.

Lou Hannah

So if we could.

Lou Hannah

If I can ask Dr.

Lou Hannah

Amir if maybe we can borrow Mama Khan and she can do like a proper curry for.

Anna Williamson

We need to this family bag.

Lou Hannah

I'm gonna.

Lou Hannah

I'm genuinely gonna ask or unless if you're the lady that you met from after Chef.

Lou Hannah

Right.

Lou Hannah

We're gonna make this happen.

Anna Williamson

I'll be able to find out her name.

Anna Williamson

Quite.

Lou Hannah

Can I just say, never in the history of Luana have I been more invested in a family story and the fact that we are the gatekeepers.

Lou Hannah

Lou of this dialogue.

Anna Williamson

So good.

Lou Hannah

It's so good.

Lou Hannah

That's just made my day.

Lou Hannah

No wonder Remo was pissed off she was missing today's episode.

Lou Hannah

Emo, you've got fomo, man.

Anna Williamson

Well up, man.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, well to fairly.

Lou Hannah

She's read it all already so she knows.

Lou Hannah

Message from Anonymous.

Lou Hannah

So, Jemima.

Lou Hannah

Hi, girls.

Anna Williamson

I wish I would have called one of my kids that.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I think you just need eight more kids, Lou, because you do.

Anna Williamson

Like a lot of names.

Lou Hannah

Hi, guys.

Lou Hannah

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 11 years and have two kids in a house.

Lou Hannah

Pardon me.

Lou Hannah

We get on amazingly.

Lou Hannah

He's like my best friend and I can't imagine not being with him.

Lou Hannah

Amazing.

Lou Hannah

My dilemma is he has had X formerly Twitter for years and I've never been following him.

Anna Williamson

Can I just say that name?

Anna Williamson

It hasn't called.

Lou Hannah

It hasn't.

Lou Hannah

Cool.

Lou Hannah

It's basically everyone has called eggs.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

So we might as well go back to just Twitter.

Lou Hannah

Exactly.

Lou Hannah

I've never been following him on there as I never felt the need.

Lou Hannah

He's always said he just uses it for news and it's never bothered me until a few nights ago.

Lou Hannah

I hate X.

Lou Hannah

I find it so toxic.

Anna Williamson

I find it very.

Anna Williamson

I came off that.

Anna Williamson

I used to use it all the time.

Lou Hannah

No, I don't use it.

Anna Williamson

Don't use it at all now.

Anna Williamson

Such a negative place.

Lou Hannah

It's so neggy.

Lou Hannah

We were just sitting together watching TV and he was on his phone on X Twitter.

Lou Hannah

I said to him, let me know, let me add you on X.

Lou Hannah

And he replied, no.

Lou Hannah

Now to me that was a red flag.

Lou Hannah

I agree, mate.

Lou Hannah

So I tried to search you on the site and nothing came up with his name.

Lou Hannah

When I asked him why I couldn't find him, he said, I can't have anything for myself.

Lou Hannah

You always want to know everything.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, this made me really want to know what he was up to on there.

Lou Hannah

So I told him if he had nothing to hide, then he should follow me on the site so I could see.

Lou Hannah

He did follow me to shut me up and I requested to follow him back.

Lou Hannah

But he left me hanging for a day.

Lou Hannah

And when he did finally accept me, he had cleared his whole page so it was completely empty except for a post he accidentally left saying, can't DM you.

Lou Hannah

Oh, his account name had nothing to do with his real name and was so, so private, like he didn't want it to be found.

Lou Hannah

When I asked him why he had cleared his whole page before he accepted my request, he said because some weird bots followed him and he thought I would go mad.

Lou Hannah

Oh, honey, I'm sorry, but please, your instinct is correct.

Lou Hannah

Come on.

Lou Hannah

I didn't buy the story.

Lou Hannah

And when I told him that I didn't believe him, he went absolutely mad and told me I was smothering him and not to talk to him.

Lou Hannah

Oh.

Lou Hannah

I mean, can I just say, that is the classic reaction of someone that is lying.

Anna Williamson

Dodgeball.

Lou Hannah

I felt like this was a deflection to turn it around on me.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, spot on, my darling.

Lou Hannah

When we did speak, he denied, tried everything for a few days and then out of the blue said, do you know what I was doing on X?

Lou Hannah

I was trying to message.

Lou Hannah

Oh, I was trying to message a transsexual for one of my mates in work to set him up, but I didn't want to tell you in case you didn't believe me.

Lou Hannah

Okay, I absolutely do not believe him.

Lou Hannah

I think he was using the site to message people behind my back.

Lou Hannah

When I asked him, why would you do that?

Lou Hannah

He said, if you don't believe me, just leave me and you don't stay with me.

Lou Hannah

Don't talk about it again because I can't be asked with it all.

Lou Hannah

So make your decision.

Lou Hannah

Oh, again, I feel he's deflecting.

Lou Hannah

Correct.

Lou Hannah

That is exactly what he is doing.

Lou Hannah

He's deflecting his text, his actual textbook.

Lou Hannah

Well, yeah, it is, but it's what he's been caught out cheating babes cheating through.

Lou Hannah

Through messaging.

Lou Hannah

Classic example.

Lou Hannah

Could I just say of someone that is basically a big caught out when they just throw the baby out with the bath water and go, your problem.

Lou Hannah

Leave me then if you don't believe me.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, because it puts the problem on.

Anna Williamson

You don't want to leave exactly.

Anna Williamson

Over something that you don't know.

Lou Hannah

It puts them back in a position of control.

Lou Hannah

This is classic.

Lou Hannah

I really don't know what to do.

Lou Hannah

Should I leave him?

Lou Hannah

Has he been cheating on me?

Lou Hannah

Do you think there is more?

Lou Hannah

I don't know.

Lou Hannah

It's eating me up inside as I have been faithful our whole relationship and would never think of hurting him in any way.

Lou Hannah

We have a mortgage and kids and financially I cannot afford everything without him.

Lou Hannah

He earns a substantial amount more than I do as I took a step back so he could have a better career and I have been there for our children.

Lou Hannah

I do love him so much but now I don't trust him and it hurts me how he can do this to me.

Lou Hannah

Me.

Lou Hannah

I thought we were in such a good place in our relationship.

Lou Hannah

My mum has not long passed away and he has been an amazing support through it and he's told me how we should get married next year.

Lou Hannah

Also, side note, he did cheat on me a year into our relationship, which I always had a gut feeling about, but he only admitted it to me last year and cried saying he'd never do it again.

Lou Hannah

Please help.

Lou Hannah

Any advice is appreciated.

Anna Williamson

I feel like he might be doing it again.

Lou Hannah

Look, what I would say is it takes a lifetime to build trust and a second to break it and that's exactly what he's done.

Lou Hannah

You found out he's cheated in the past.

Lou Hannah

So we're with, you know, with this is, this is, you know, for him and just, just laying out on, on the table here.

Lou Hannah

Of course you don't trust him and he has to accept and appreciate of why you would not trust him given the past and then given the shadiness of what he's doing.

Lou Hannah

You know, my advice is I wouldn't completely check out of your relationship now, but I do think you need to have some very strong discussions over honesty and trust can be rebuilt.

Lou Hannah

But he has got to play ball and he has fully, fully got to be transparent.

Lou Hannah

I would actually say to him personally, well, I do this with, I do marriage, marriage counseling, couples counseling.

Lou Hannah

You can, you can get a relationship back on track but you have to be completely transparent.

Lou Hannah

Even the that you're scared to say, you just have to say it.

Lou Hannah

If he is prepared to just tell you everything and you are able to perhaps deal with that, process it, and there is a chance for you guys, then you can do it.

Lou Hannah

But if he won't be transparent with you, then please don't get into a relationship where the trust is fractured.

Anna Williamson

Definitely don't get bloody marriage.

Lou Hannah

I think you need to just say this to him.

Lou Hannah

Look, I don't believe you.

Lou Hannah

You have an opportunity to be truthful.

Lou Hannah

If you don't, well, then I might have to reconsider our relationship.

Anna Williamson

The thing is, he doesn't want you to know the truth because he thinks it'll end the relationship.

Lou Hannah

But if he has an opportunity to know that if he really does tell you the truth, you are more likely to give it a chance.

Anna Williamson

He's already given it.

Anna Williamson

It's already cheated one.

Lou Hannah

Well, exactly.

Lou Hannah

He has to be very, very.

Lou Hannah

He has to be very open.

Lou Hannah

And I would encourage you to be quite clear on that boundary what you need in order to stay.

Lou Hannah

But what will happen if that doesn't happen and what the alternative will be.

Lou Hannah

And if you do end up leaving that relationship, trust me, there will be a way through that as well.

Anna Williamson

Good luck.

Anna Williamson

We've got another message from Anons who've called you.

Anna Williamson

Thomasina.

Anna Williamson

Hey, I have a story for your podcast.

Anna Williamson

So I started my new job as a care assistant and after about four months I was doing an evening call.

Anna Williamson

So I asked the elderly gentleman to walk with his frame to the bathroom.

Anna Williamson

I put my gloves on and pulled his trousers and pull up pad down.

Anna Williamson

As I did this, I said, oh, you've been to the proper toilet.

Anna Williamson

He replied, no, I haven't.

Anna Williamson

I said, yes, you have.

Anna Williamson

So I pulled the two lumps of hard poo out.

Anna Williamson

Oh, bless carers, they're so good, aren't they?

Anna Williamson

And pulled the two lumps of hard poo out from under his bottom.

Anna Williamson

But they wouldn't budge.

Anna Williamson

I pulled a little more and the elderly man said, what are you doing?

Anna Williamson

Oh my God.

Anna Williamson

The elderly man said, what are you doing?

Anna Williamson

I decose to look and realized I was pulling on his balls.

Anna Williamson

I then said, oh, it's nothing, you're very clean.

Anna Williamson

You can pull up now and go back to the lounge to watch tv.

Lou Hannah

Tugging his nose, thinking it was a chug nut.

Lou Hannah

Oh my God, stop.

Anna Williamson

And then she just sort of, sort of ghosted the the situation and just sent him on his way.

Lou Hannah

Here you go, Pat.

Lou Hannah

Pat.

Anna Williamson

What are you doing?

Lou Hannah

Tug, tug, tug, tug.

Anna Williamson

Oh, God, that's a classic.

Anna Williamson

Classic.

Anna Williamson

Oh, remember, if you Want to get in touch?

Anna Williamson

You can email us Luana@everyTHING moana.com or drop us a WhatsApp on 07452 double 6947.

Lou Hannah

Right, okay.

Lou Hannah

We've had some listener feedback on this, guys.

Lou Hannah

So we talked about this last week, the first drug consumption room in Glasgow.

Lou Hannah

We were talking about it and we were so like all over the place with our thoughts on it.

Lou Hannah

And the user figures have been revealed.

Lou Hannah

So the UK's first drug consumption clinic.

Lou Hannah

It's been used more than 130 times since it opened last week.

Anna Williamson

Wait, let me work out how many times in a day.

Anna Williamson

Okay, so 130 times over seven days.

Anna Williamson

What do you think?

Anna Williamson

130 divided by seven is.

Anna Williamson

Anna Williamson 18.5.

Lou Hannah

There you go.

Lou Hannah

I was gonna say that the safer drugs consumption facility in Glasgow.

Lou Hannah

So it opened 13th of Jan and it let people.

Lou Hannah

If you listened to the episode last week, you'll know the story.

Lou Hannah

Let people take substances under supervision.

Lou Hannah

The counselor for the city said it had been an intense first week for staff and the service being used 131 times.

Lou Hannah

There were no medical emergencies resulting from drug use within the facility known as the Thistle in the first week.

Lou Hannah

Now the 131 figure includes people who have used the service on more than one occasion.

Lou Hannah

Now it's hoped that this clinic can reduce fatal and non fatal overdoses by providing a safe and clean place for people to use drugs, but also giving people further support to cope with their addiction.

Lou Hannah

As well as safer injecting facilities, users were provided with wound care, clean injecting equipment and naloxone as required.

Anna Williamson

Wonder what an allotment?

Lou Hannah

Not too sure.

Lou Hannah

A spokesman for the facility said that some users had already engaged with housing and drug treatment support.

Lou Hannah

Well, that's really possible because that was, that was our concern.

Anna Williamson

They were saying that there wasn't any financial support.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

So listen, it's made a promising start.

Lou Hannah

It has.

Anna Williamson

They're delighted that people have been using it.

Anna Williamson

It's kind of a safe hygienic place.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, that's good.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, yeah.

Lou Hannah

And I think this is important because this, this goes on from what we were saying, Lou.

Lou Hannah

They've said, you know, we know this is not a silver bullet, but having a facility that is safe and hygienic and medically supervised will go a long way towards reducing drug related overdoses, injection related wounds, infections, and the negative impact that injecting outdoors has on local communities, which we fully were on board with.

Lou Hannah

We were so like open about all this.

Anna Williamson

Well, this has been Debated for a long time.

Anna Williamson

It was first, first proposed in 2016, so years and years.

Anna Williamson

So.

Anna Williamson

But, but it's very expensive.

Anna Williamson

So the running costs, just over three years are expected to reach nearly £7 million.

Anna Williamson

That's very exciting when you think it's been used, okay, it's only the first week, but it's.

Anna Williamson

It's been used 131 times in the first week, so about 18 times a day.

Anna Williamson

But that hasn't been 131 people because it's been used by the same people multiple times.

Anna Williamson

It's a lot of money to spend on not that many people, isn't it?

Anna Williamson

And I still think that it could be that 7 million, you know.

Anna Williamson

Well, let's see.

Lou Hannah

Well, well, we asked for your input and it says in here in the script and a lot of you wrote in, so.

Lou Hannah

And as always, guys, we like this to be really good, healthy debate where we can all share our opinions in a really safe and non judgmental way.

Lou Hannah

So here we go.

Lou Hannah

It says, a note to listeners, IMO has had to cut down the emails as there was a lot of great stuff.

Lou Hannah

Stuff, but we just haven't got time to include all of it.

Lou Hannah

So thanks to everyone who did message in.

Lou Hannah

What's the first one we got?

Lou Hannah

Lulu.

Anna Williamson

So, Mr.

Anna Williamson

Person says hello.

Anna Williamson

Someone who lives in Glasgow here, putting in my two pence per the new Thistle drug project.

Lou Hannah

Right.

Anna Williamson

I'm a normal, functioning member of society.

Anna Williamson

I run my own business, have a nice comfy life.

Anna Williamson

And also my mother is a recovered heroin addict.

Anna Williamson

Okay, I think the vital part of information you're missing here is context.

Anna Williamson

Glasgow city center is a dump.

Anna Williamson

The entire town, I thought was quite nice when we went on tour.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, the entire town, from the center to the Tron gate, which is about a 15 minute walk, is littered with garbage, needles, tinfoil and drug addicts.

Anna Williamson

They are everywhere.

Lou Hannah

Wow.

Anna Williamson

You can walk for five minutes and see multiple people who have lost their legs due to drug abuse.

Anna Williamson

Wow, that's really bad.

Lou Hannah

And this is someone whose mother is.

Anna Williamson

Recovering heroin addicts and they actively live.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they live.

Anna Williamson

But why aren't they spending the money on cleaning the.

Anna Williamson

Cleaning the road?

Lou Hannah

Well, let's see.

Anna Williamson

There is an alley in Glasgow where drug addicts scrape dust from a brick wall to sell to other drug addicts because it looks quite like heroin.

Anna Williamson

The drug problem here is absolutely terrifying.

Anna Williamson

The purpose of the room is simple.

Anna Williamson

The addicts won't die on their own in the street, which by the way is also a common sight.

Anna Williamson

Personally, in the last Couple of years I've called ambulances on men who had overdosed and I know friends who have done the same.

Anna Williamson

The underfunding is the issue.

Anna Williamson

People can be referred to n a Narcotics Anonymous, but if the structure isn't there to support them, the chances of recovery are.

Anna Williamson

Of course, of course, of course.

Anna Williamson

Personally, I think if they can be cared for in a warm space with clean needles, medical staff and any help, then it's worth it.

Anna Williamson

Surely if one person's life is saved.

Lou Hannah

Then that's enough great feedback.

Anna Williamson

I do great.

Anna Williamson

But I still think that spending 7 million pounds to potentially save one person's life is a little bit extravagant.

Anna Williamson

When you look at.

Anna Williamson

I don't know, I'm gonna, I'm gonna like.

Anna Williamson

Well, I just think what those people contribute to society is that, is it worth 7 million?

Lou Hannah

I guess that's the question.

Anna Williamson

And, and, but then who are we to say whether whose life is worth.

Lou Hannah

Absolutely.

Lou Hannah

A life is a lie.

Anna Williamson

Worth more.

Anna Williamson

But.

Lou Hannah

Right, right.

Lou Hannah

And I also, I also think excellent context as you say, because we don't know, we don't know Glasgow and thank you for that message because yeah, we don't see what's going on.

Lou Hannah

The next message in.

Lou Hannah

Hi Luana.

Lou Hannah

A friend recently listened to latest episode and knowing my background, asked me to write in and share my views on drug consumption rooms.

Lou Hannah

So here I am.

Anna Williamson

I'm loving all this people.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, thanks guys.

Lou Hannah

First of all, I want to clarify that calling these spaces drug facilitation rooms can be misleading.

Lou Hannah

Reading the term might suggest that we are encouraging or facilitating drug use, but that is not the intention at all.

Lou Hannah

These are harm reduction spaces designed to ensure that people who use drugs do so as safely as possible, minimizing the risk of overdose, disease transmission and antisocial behavior.

Lou Hannah

That is a very key point actually, which we hadn't previously discussed.

Lou Hannah

It's about meeting people where they are at, not forcing them to change their behavior overnight, but ensuring that they are supported in the safest way possible.

Lou Hannah

These consumption rooms are not new.

Lou Hannah

In fact, they have been successfully implemented many countries across, across Europe where drug policies tend to be more progressive and evidence based.

Lou Hannah

These countries are far ahead of us in addressing addiction and substance use in more compassionate, non judgmental ways.

Lou Hannah

Fair.

Lou Hannah

They recognize that the war on drugs has failed and that criminalization only harms individuals and communities.

Lou Hannah

These rooms save lives.

Lou Hannah

By providing a controlled, sterile environment, we can drastically reduce the number of drug related deaths as well as the transmission of diseases like hiv.

Lou Hannah

Additionally, they reduce the burden on the NHS by preventing overdoses and minimizing the need for emergency intervention.

Lou Hannah

Well, that's what I was saying to you about our local Annie which is very, very overrun with.

Lou Hannah

With.

Lou Hannah

With addicts that are in there a lot recently.

Lou Hannah

When I've been as someone who works in an alcohol and drug service specializing in supporting individuals with opioid dependency, I see firsthand how people's circumstances can lead them.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, that's fair.

Lou Hannah

To.

Lou Hannah

To use substances as a coping mechanism.

Lou Hannah

Fair?

Lou Hannah

I don't judge that to be fair.

Lou Hannah

I don't.

Lou Hannah

I don't either because I've seen that firsthand.

Lou Hannah

Some people are in terrible states knock through their own fault.

Lou Hannah

Society often judges people who use drugs but many of them are dealing with trauma, adverse childhood experiences, a ACE and systemic issues that we have failed to address.

Lou Hannah

Additionally, it's important to recognize how socioeconomic factors are contributing to these issues.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, that is important.

Lou Hannah

Understanding that people who use drugs often have deep rooted emotional pain and unmet needs could change the way we view addiction as a whole.

Lou Hannah

Whole.

Lou Hannah

Those individuals are often the most judged and unsupported in our society, yet they generally cause no harm to others beyond their own struggles.

Lou Hannah

Still, it is very, very true.

Lou Hannah

Still we expend so much energy policing and stigmatizing them instead of offering support and understanding.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, I think that's a fair point.

Lou Hannah

Finally, harm reduction isn't about seeing if these approaches work.

Lou Hannah

The evidence already exists.

Lou Hannah

Supported by decades of research and global success stories.

Lou Hannah

Countries like Holland and those in Scandinavia have led the way in harm reduction strategies with significantly lower rates of drug related crime, death and higher measures of quality of life compared to the uk.

Lou Hannah

I mean that can only be a good thing.

Lou Hannah

These countries demonstrate the long term benefits of prioritizing compassion and evidence based policies over criminalization.

Lou Hannah

There's so much we can learn from other countries that have embraced harm reduction and seen transformative results.

Lou Hannah

Results.

Lou Hannah

Many thanks.

Lou Hannah

A substance misuse specialist nurse.

Lou Hannah

I love my job but it's.

Anna Williamson

Gosh, I bet it is hard.

Lou Hannah

Fantastic piece of context there.

Anna Williamson

And I wonder why though when you go to countries like say Dubai for instance, there's no.

Anna Williamson

There's no.

Anna Williamson

You just don't see that there.

Lou Hannah

But do we know there's not or is it just that we only see it?

Lou Hannah

I mean maybe you know more about Dubai than I do, but is it because we're not.

Lou Hannah

We don't.

Lou Hannah

We only see what we want to see.

Lou Hannah

And often we go to these countries more as, as a holiday.

Lou Hannah

You know, we don't typically problem there.

Anna Williamson

Like it is here.

Anna Williamson

They don't have a crime problem there like it is here.

Anna Williamson

So why do we have all these problems?

Lou Hannah

But then I.

Lou Hannah

I agree with you.

Lou Hannah

But then I would.

Lou Hannah

But then I would also say I've got no idea how other countries in Europe truly are operating.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I know, for example, and all I've seen in Sicily, for example, where Alex comes from.

Lou Hannah

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

You know, when we've been into the capital, Palermo, I mean, we, I mean, there's some absolute proper degradation, you know, going on there now, you know, and you don't hear that reported.

Lou Hannah

And it's only when you live there and you hear, you go, Christ, you know, there's a real issue around certain, you know, issues, socioeconomic issues.

Lou Hannah

So I guess unless you're really in those countries, you don't, you don't see it.

Lou Hannah

We only see what we see.

Anna Williamson

Well, thank you.

Anna Williamson

Message.

Anna Williamson

You've got another message now.

Anna Williamson

Hey, ladies.

Anna Williamson

I just wanted to put a message across from the Monday's pod about the drug rooms.

Anna Williamson

I'm a previous class A user, on and off from 16 years old until 21.

Anna Williamson

That's so young, isn't it?

Anna Williamson

It's so sad.

Anna Williamson

Now I've been clean for nine years.

Anna Williamson

Well done.

Lou Hannah

Well done.

Anna Williamson

It's not hard to stay clean when you've got that, when you've had that as well and when you've got that addictive trait.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I wouldn't know.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I guess it's different for each individual, but well done.

Lou Hannah

I hope that didn't sound patronizing, me saying well done, but genuinely well done.

Anna Williamson

My personal opinion is I genuinely don't think these rooms will work.

Anna Williamson

I don't think there'll be enough trust for a drug user to not be reported for having an illegal substance.

Anna Williamson

I also don't think.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, that's true.

Lou Hannah

Because as long as, if you're not dealing though.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, but then they might be like, well, where have you bought it from?

Anna Williamson

And then I don't know.

Anna Williamson

I don't think they ask, they're asking questions like that though.

Anna Williamson

I also don't think unless these rooms are on every other street, they will not get used.

Anna Williamson

Well, that's what I think.

Lou Hannah

But they are being used.

Anna Williamson

Well, we got by many people.

Lou Hannah

I'd say 131 people in a week.

Anna Williamson

It's not 131 people.

Anna Williamson

Oh, oh, that's what it says.

Anna Williamson

It's 131 times it's been used for.

Anna Williamson

So it's 18 times a day.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, it could have 18 people using it 10 times.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

True.

Anna Williamson

So it's not.

Anna Williamson

Which I think's right, because as soon as you get your smack, you want it in you.

Anna Williamson

So I also don't think unless these rooms are on every other street, they will not get used.

Anna Williamson

As a previous user and knowing users, you would not buy drugs.

Anna Williamson

This is what I just said.

Anna Williamson

Then walk, bike or drive, drive so many miles or minutes more to then get your fix.

Anna Williamson

They don't.

Anna Williamson

They want, they get it and they get it in straight on.

Anna Williamson

You want to do your drugs.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Anna Williamson

The minute they're in your hand.

Anna Williamson

I think the funding needs to go into support and help for people who genuinely want to get clean.

Anna Williamson

There is just no support for anyone who is trying to better themselves.

Lou Hannah

Right.

Lou Hannah

This is the issue.

Anna Williamson

All you're doing is sticking plaster, is facilitating the same.

Lou Hannah

And what we're hearing unanimously from all these messages from very different vantage points is the importance, importance of that actual compassion.

Anna Williamson

They would have been better off, you know, kitting out a few little mini buses, stripping the mini bus out and having mobile rooms and a driver and a nurse, a driver and a nurse in a little mobile minivan, having 10 of those that were driving around the city and it's always at this point, at that time, at that point, at that.

Anna Williamson

And then they could then go in the van and do it safely.

Anna Williamson

That would have been better.

Lou Hannah

It's the long term support it sounds like, doesn't it?

Anna Williamson

Anyway, so it says.

Anna Williamson

But also like you ladies have said, said you can't help someone who doesn't genuinely want the help.

Anna Williamson

You have to be 100 ready.

Lou Hannah

And Lou and I both know this from having people close to us to know that you have to be in that headspace.

Anna Williamson

I have been approached to become a drug worker, but in all honesty, I don't think I could deal with the user's, quite frankly.

Anna Williamson

Most users will attend appointments, tell the drug worker what they want here to be able to get the next prescription of methadone and be on their way to score again.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I'm, I'm with you because of my experience.

Anna Williamson

It's just, you know, drug addicts are the worst liars you've ever come across.

Anna Williamson

The manipulation is unreal.

Anna Williamson

Just so.

Anna Williamson

Yes, I believe the money in those drug rooms would be much more beneficial to helping users and putting information to youngsters too.

Anna Williamson

Prevention is the key.

Anna Williamson

Right.

Anna Williamson

I'd love to out my personal story across.

Anna Williamson

I'd love to put my personal story across to show people about how there is a life to be lived on the other side of drugs and it's really worth it.

Anna Williamson

I no longer have to wake up and immediately think of how I'm going to earn a tenor so I can go and score.

Anna Williamson

I wake up pain free with a wonderful family and a business owner.

Lou Hannah

Good for you.

Anna Williamson

If anyone listening to the POD has any kind of addiction, please make that first step and speak to somebody as your life is worth it.

Lou Hannah

That's the best flipping great message.

Lou Hannah

Thank you for sharing that.

Lou Hannah

That is so powerful.

Lou Hannah

Thank you.

Anna Williamson

I am agree with you and and well done.

Anna Williamson

Right, we've got another message, last one.

Lou Hannah

So read the reader.

Lou Hannah

Thistle it's hard to help people engage in change if they' engaging with services.

Lou Hannah

A lot of people aren't due to the fear of criminalization, hopelessness and various countless other factors and any opportunity to engage them is a win.

Lou Hannah

This being one of them.

Lou Hannah

Sometimes that window to get someone to engage in change is very small and we're more likely to get them if they're alive and not dead from an overdose due to decriminal, due to criminalization and in the end dead from an overdose.

Lou Hannah

The Thistle would also be testing people's drugs to make sure it's what they think it is to reduce risk too.

Lou Hannah

Do we need to help people where they are first in order to help them move towards and build motivation to change?

Lou Hannah

Remember, these people are criminalized and don't feel worthy of help.

Lou Hannah

Often I don't work in substance services but in mental health with other life threatening behavior from Anonymous.

Lou Hannah

Thank you.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, another very interesting point and I think overall, you know, thank you everyone.

Anna Williamson

That time will tell.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, time will tell and everyone really felt quite passionately about this as we did too.

Anna Williamson

The feedback was amazing and we love a good home.

Anna Williamson

Healthy debate on Nirana.

Anna Williamson

So if we ever do talk about a story that you want to get involved in, please do send your emails in because we do read them and we love to get and this is.

Lou Hannah

What'S so important actually about what we do because yeah, often we're on all kinds of sides of the fence and and that really helps us to understand.

Lou Hannah

So thanks everybody and yeah, we'll see how it all plays out.

Anna Williamson

Right, let's move on.

Anna Williamson

It's time for it's the Widow of the Week.

Lou Hannah

Right Brogan.

Lou Hannah

Hi Luana.

Lou Hannah

Am I the weirdo of the week?

Lou Hannah

I'm 31, live with my partner and about to be married, but if I ever stay over at my mum's house, when I get up in the morning, I will climb into bed with her.

Lou Hannah

Oh, okay.

Lou Hannah

My stepdad will Even bring us up drinks, breakfast and we can chill in bed for a few hours, chatting.

Anna Williamson

So lovely.

Lou Hannah

Scrolling.

Lou Hannah

Or this week we plan separate holidays.

Lou Hannah

My honeymoon and her Christmas.

Lou Hannah

I don't know anyone else who would do this at my age, but she's my, like my best friend and it's one of my favorite things.

Lou Hannah

Things.

Lou Hannah

No need to keep me anonymous.

Lou Hannah

I'm Brogan from Nottingham.

Anna Williamson

I don't think that's weird.

Anna Williamson

I think that is so lovely and so special and memories you will cherish forever.

Lou Hannah

And I do this.

Anna Williamson

Do you?

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

I mean, I don't get into my.

Lou Hannah

If I go away with my mum, if we do a Japanese night or something, we often will share a bed.

Anna Williamson

Yeah.

Lou Hannah

And I will in the morning, scooch up to my mum, have a little snuggle and a cuddle.

Lou Hannah

We'll have a little cup of tea whilst we're watching.

Anna Williamson

I'm not a cuddly person.

Lou Hannah

No, you're not.

Lou Hannah

No.

Lou Hannah

Actually my mum isn't fun enough, but I force her to have.

Lou Hannah

I think it's lovely.

Lou Hannah

And I have a little snuggle with my mum and it's really lovely.

Anna Williamson

I think that's.

Lou Hannah

And I'm 43, so.

Lou Hannah

There you go.

Anna Williamson

Right, we've got Shelly and Dan in next.

Anna Williamson

We're not sure if your names are real or not.

Anna Williamson

Is this weird?

Anna Williamson

I'm totally in love with my boyfriend and think he's absolutely gorgeous, ripped and could just squidge him anytime and kiss his face off.

Anna Williamson

The other day I watched him get out of bed and walk naked to the en suite, looking gorgeous, which aroused me.

Anna Williamson

I heard him take a wee, so I approached him also naked and feeling hot, pressed myself against him from behind as he stood finishing his Wii and reached reached round to do the customary man shake after a P to remove any drips for him.

Anna Williamson

As I shook him sensually, his beautiful member grew in my hand, swelling to the this like a novel, like Jilly Cooper, swelling to the thickness and length I desired.

Anna Williamson

And so I thought, game on.

Anna Williamson

So I spun him round, craftily lowering the toilet seat for him to sit on and then straddled him, taking him inside my lasting pussy.

Lou Hannah

It's a porno.

Lou Hannah

She's used a P word.

Lou Hannah

I don't know.

Lou Hannah

I don't feel very comfortable with that of a morning.

Anna Williamson

We then started to writhe rhythmically, going for the full on sex in the toilet.

Anna Williamson

It was hot and totally gorgeous as we snogged and we rocked.

Anna Williamson

Suddenly I heard a.

Lou Hannah

What?

Anna Williamson

What?

Lou Hannah

No.

Anna Williamson

Suddenly I heard a splash and an aroma Arose of the night before curry, a complete air buffet.

Anna Williamson

He had taken a shit.

Lou Hannah

So the toilet seat was up and he was on the actual pan.

Anna Williamson

His toilet seat was up and he was on the.

Anna Williamson

She then put the toilet seat down and sat on him.

Anna Williamson

She says, I put the toilet seat down.

Anna Williamson

I thought she meant the lid down, but no, no, she's just put the sitting bit down.

Lou Hannah

The sitting bit down on the hole.

Anna Williamson

She's on him writhing around.

Lou Hannah

He's had a mid shag.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, he's a shagger.

Anna Williamson

How can you have a boner and do a shit at the same time?

Lou Hannah

So many questions, she said.

Anna Williamson

I was horrified but too near my big orgasm to stop completely.

Anna Williamson

We continued to fruition on the shit smell and the.

Lou Hannah

Oh, this is like.

Lou Hannah

What's his name?

Lou Hannah

Francesco from last week.

Lou Hannah

What was his name?

Anna Williamson

We continued to fruition for the remaining few seconds as he emptied his man gravy and I also orgasmed.

Anna Williamson

I then kissed him, dismounted, flushed and went back to the bedroom.

Anna Williamson

Not a word was said and it has never been discussed.

Anna Williamson

But sex on the toilet, first thing is now a regular thing.

Anna Williamson

Is it weird?

Anna Williamson

What do you think?

Anna Williamson

Think I think it's weird.

Anna Williamson

How is it?

Anna Williamson

Well, it's weird they didn't say anything.

Anna Williamson

He just did a mid shag and then they both came.

Anna Williamson

She just flushed and went, that's it for me.

Lou Hannah

No, no.

Lou Hannah

It's a no from me.

Lou Hannah

That's weird.

Lou Hannah

But listen, I would just say you do you, honey, it's clearly working for you.

Anna Williamson

Clearly.

Lou Hannah

If I copped a whiff, I want to know of a post curry when you're at any point.

Anna Williamson

No, that that big eye be fizzling out.

Lou Hannah

Oh, there's no big O, mate.

Anna Williamson

Well, there you go.

Lou Hannah

Big elbow.

Lou Hannah

This episode has been gold, by the way.

Lou Hannah

Can I just say, gold limo you did you over delivered today.

Lou Hannah

This has been absolute gold.

Anna Williamson

Oh dear.

Lou Hannah

Right, normally at this time of the week you either have a rant or a happy moment.

Lou Hannah

No ranting today.

Anna Williamson

I'm not got a run.

Lou Hannah

I mean, may I say, the happy moment is just.

Lou Hannah

Just the quality Lufanians who delivered today.

Anna Williamson

You guys are bringing it.

Lou Hannah

Bringing it, bringing it.

Lou Hannah

There's no rant.

Lou Hannah

She wants a whale in her lake.

Anna Williamson

I want a whale in my leg.

Anna Williamson

I do have a little bit of a run and I, you know about this because I did it.

Anna Williamson

I kind of had a little bit of a moan on our Luana group the other day of WhatsApp about voice notes.

Lou Hannah

Oh yeah, you don't like a voice note?

Anna Williamson

I don't like voice notes.

Anna Williamson

I'm busy.

Anna Williamson

I'm not going to listen to your voice notes when I'm around people because quite frankly, it's rude and I never know what someone's going to say when they send me a voice.

Anna Williamson

Voice note and I don't want to do that.

Anna Williamson

It's rude.

Anna Williamson

I'm normally around people, so I just don't want voice notes anymore.

Anna Williamson

Stop sending them.

Anna Williamson

Looking at you, Anna.

Anna Williamson

Looking at your agent Sam.

Anna Williamson

But then I sent Agent Sam a voice note this morning and she replied and put, sorry, I'm not listening to that voice.

Anna Williamson

No.

Anna Williamson

And I was like, yes, Sam, that was well deserved.

Lou Hannah

I would, I, I hear you.

Lou Hannah

But sometimes you know what?

Anna Williamson

Hate them.

Lou Hannah

Well, but then you do.

Anna Williamson

I don't listen.

Lou Hannah

So you're not consistent.

Lou Hannah

Consistent, no.

Lou Hannah

So if you were consistent, I'm not.

Anna Williamson

Going to do voice notes anymore and I don't want anyone to send me any.

Lou Hannah

Fine, if you're consistent, we'll be consistent.

Anna Williamson

Okay, don't send me voice notes.

Lou Hannah

Fine.

Lou Hannah

Done.

Anna Williamson

You haven't done it recently.

Lou Hannah

I'd never do voice notes.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, I'm not a voice note to.

Anna Williamson

Not normally.

Anna Williamson

I find them, I don't know as a voice notor.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I don't listen to them.

Anna Williamson

Well, there you go, because I'm busy.

Anna Williamson

Just, I just want to read those.

Lou Hannah

In glass houses this month.

Anna Williamson

Well, it was this morning.

Anna Williamson

Well, I did like Agent Sam's clap back at me.

Anna Williamson

Me.

Anna Williamson

Yeah, I love a clap back on the girl.

Lou Hannah

Go on.

Lou Hannah

A girl.

Lou Hannah

You see, we got a clap back at the Zis when she's dishing it out and we do, we put her back in her place.

Lou Hannah

So we'll be sending you voice.

Lou Hannah

You do know you've now, now you've now now ignited a flurry of voice.

Anna Williamson

Notes because it's a waste of your breath and energy.

Lou Hannah

It could be something juicy.

Anna Williamson

Well, I'm not listening to it and see.

Anna Williamson

Well, I'm not going to wait and see because I'm not going to listen to it.

Anna Williamson

Well, okay.

Anna Williamson

So don't waste your breath.

Lou Hannah

Okay, fine.

Lou Hannah

Done.

Lou Hannah

That is it, guys.

Lou Hannah

We'll be back on Monday, but of course you don't have to wait until then because on Thursday, Thursday we have Luana totally extra.

Lou Hannah

But for that though, we do need you Lufanians so we would love you, adore you, in fact, to send your email to luana@everyTHINGluanna.com Our WhatsApp number to send a voice note.

Lou Hannah

Just not Louisa.

Anna Williamson

We like voice notes on the pod.

Lou Hannah

Yeah, she's just talking about life in general.

Anna Williamson

It's my life.

Lou Hannah

It's just she's up and down so.

Anna Williamson

It'S always a load of that.

Anna Williamson

Like doesn't even need to be said.

Lou Hannah

Well, I'll, I'll, I'll remind you of that when you next time.

Anna Williamson

I'm not gonna ever send a voice out to you ever again.

Lou Hannah

There it is.
