Speaker A

Got it.

Speaker B

So I've been trying different settings with zoom because I want it to record this.

Speaker B

You know, what's it called?

Speaker B

I want it to record gallery view, but it continue even though I have it set to record gallery view.

Speaker B

And even though we're talking right now in gallery view, when I rewatch, when I load the recording in post, it has a speaker view, which means whoever's speaking pops up as the main view.

Speaker B

I've tried a lot of.

Speaker B

We've done a lot of podcasts, and I've been trying, futzing around with the different settings, and it keeps doing the same issue.

Speaker B

So I can't get.

Speaker B

For some reason, I can't get it to.

Speaker B

To do it.

Speaker A

Interesting.

Speaker B

So this is the get you some productions podcast episode.

Speaker B

I don't even know what episode, but we're getting close to a hundred.

Speaker B

And I find this to be really interesting because when I wanted to start the podcast, I was a big fan of this dude named James Altucher.

Speaker B

And James Altucher is friends with Gary Vaynerchuk.

Speaker B

You know, Gary Vaynerchuk is.

Speaker B

No, he's an entrepreneur, you know, guru, something like that.

Speaker B

And they basically had this thing.

Speaker B

They did it.

Speaker B

They did it.

Speaker B

They did a podcast episode, and they said, you need a podcast.

Speaker B

Everyone needs a podcast, because you need your own platform that you control.

Speaker B

And they talked about all the benefits.

Speaker B

And I think actually you and I had a back and forth where I think I sent you a list from James Altucher that I think was produced right around the time of this show.

Speaker B

99 reasons to have a podcast.

Speaker A

Yes, I remember that.

Speaker B

Yeah, it was many.

Speaker B

It was years ago now.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

And he did.

Speaker B

And they did it.

Speaker B

They did a.

Speaker B

They did a thing where they said, anybody who starts a podcast as a result of this show, tweet at us with our handles, these specific handles, and we'll feature you on our podcast.

Speaker B

I don't know if anybody ever did it, but that one of the items was that you don't have a podcast until you get to episode 100.

Speaker B

And I find it.

Speaker B

I think we may have talked about this in the olden days, too, but I feel like we're coming up on episode 100, and we're also simultaneously, in a way, just coming into our own.

Speaker B

You know, the show's leveled up.

Speaker B

It's become more of a thing.

Speaker B

We have this steady stream of guests now.

Speaker B

We have kind of a niche.

Speaker B

You know, it's all this stuff that's sort of crystallizing.

Speaker B

And it just so happens we're up to episode.

Speaker B

We're almost up to episode 100.

Speaker B

Do that again, I dare you.

Speaker B

Snapshot that.

Speaker B

That's going to be the thumbnail.

Speaker A

So, Keith, did you Google how to record a zoom meeting in gallery view?

Speaker B

I did.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

And I.

Speaker B

And I.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

And I.

Speaker B

I changed the settings and blah, blah, blah.

Speaker A

So we're using cloud recording.

Speaker A

We're doing cloud recording, right?

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker A

Check the record gallery view with shared screen option.

Speaker A

Click save.

Speaker A

Did you hit save?

Speaker A

Sorry.

Speaker B

You know, that's actually a really good point.

Speaker B

Okay, so maybe I didn't save.

Speaker B

All right, so, okay, okay.

Speaker B

Anyway, what I wanted to talk to you about was the Masters of the Universe Club.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

So I have been interested in and really devoted to this idea that it would be good, even though we have all these music brands, it would be good to develop on the side a potential self help, self improvement type of brand.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

I don't think we're going to put, you know, we're not going to put all of our effort into it, not by a long stretch.

Speaker B

But it's something that, you know, maybe every once in a while I'd like to come back to and revisit.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

And keep it moving forward.

Speaker B

All the socials are established.

Speaker B

I've actually done a bunch of podcasts.

Speaker B

It has.

Speaker B

There's a website devoted to it, so it's all set up and ready to go.

Speaker B

And it's called the Masters of the Universe Club.

Speaker B

And I listened to another show by some other dude who's all about, you know, masculinity and stepping into your power and all this junk.

Speaker B

And I was inspired this morning by that show.

Speaker B

And I thought, okay, maybe today would be a good day just to do a real quick touch base about what this show is about.

Speaker B

And, and I do kind of envision it being under the umbrella of Gacha San Productions, because it's just another brand.

Speaker B

And of course, you know, it's sort of like it's part of the process of my life, but of course I want to bring my boys with me.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

You know, so the idea is that it's just about becoming and inspiring people and creating a community of people who want to become the best versions of themselves.

Speaker B

And for me, I think that I'm sort of figuring, trying to figure out what my purpose is, because I feel like purpose is a very important thing for a person to have, but I also think purpose is a very important thing for masculinity.

Speaker B

And I think I'm sort of beginning to crystallize what I think my purpose Is.

Speaker B

And I think we've had this conversation before, you and I, but I think my purpose actually is to explore the boundaries of what a person, what a human being can become and become and explore those boundaries and become the best version of a human that you possibly can become.

Speaker B

And that means a lot of different things.

Speaker B

But I think that the Masters of the Universe Club is a good platform and context within to explore something like that.

Speaker B

And, and so that's kind of my idea.

Speaker B

I don't really.

Speaker B

And I have some other things to say, but I don't want to.

Speaker B

Yeah, I don't want to talk too much.

Speaker B

I just want to sort of like get a more conversation going about it.

Speaker A

I, I think it's a good idea, a good concept and I really think it would be more about the format at this point.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker A

You know, so.

Speaker A

And as a side note, hold on.

Speaker A

I was just getting a call there personally.

Speaker A

Need to engage in some of these self cultivation techniques because I'm feeling like I'm not, I have a potential and I, I could be here and I'm here and I'm ready to make some changes.

Speaker A

So it can almost be like a guinea pig for the process on there.

Speaker A

So, you know, and that was something I want to talk to you about in person because I know you're going to be down here somewhat soon.

Speaker B

Well, you have to plan that right away.

Speaker B

So I'm working.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

So we're figuring that my family, we're working on the scheduling right now and we're, I'm going to, you know, we're going to make that happen as soon as I can because I do have to come.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker B

So there's two things you mentioned that I think are super important, the format.

Speaker B

So one thing that I think is really important and I'm so glad you brought up the format because I think that probably one of the main things that has been a struggle for me and that's one of the things that I wanted to ask you to help me with.

Speaker B

Not necessarily on this call, but to be kind of a partner for me in how do we make the format right and how do I make this presentable and impactful for us and for other people, whoever wants to join in this, you know, thing, but with the least amount of work for us, you know, the least amount of, you know, how do we make this look the best with the least amount of.

Speaker B

Because we want to improve, you know, we want to empower and help other people improve.

Speaker B

But, but also we want to make it as easy as possible so that people actually do improve and so that we can improve, but we also have to be mindful of that we're producing a finished product.

Speaker B

So format is super important.

Speaker B

I don't think we have to go into that on this call.

Speaker B

But I think that just for me, like, you just.

Speaker B

I think it's great.

Speaker B

You just were very open and authentic by saying, hey, I need to level up certain things in my life.

Speaker B

And I think that objectively speaking, if we were to look at both of our lives, you and I, in this moment.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

We can timestamp this.

Speaker B

October 30, 2024.

Speaker B

There are some things in both of our lives that are great.

Speaker B

I'll speak for myself.

Speaker B

There are some things going terribly wrong in my life.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

That I need to get a handle on.

Speaker B

So I think this is going to be a worthwhile journey for both of us, you know, and that's the point.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker B

So that's the only thing.

Speaker B

So that's.

Speaker B

So this is the only.

Speaker B

My only object was to sort of put this back on the radar, put this back on the.

Speaker B

On the whiteboard, so to speak.

Speaker A

So we could call it like nutritious masculinity or the opposite of toxic.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Because, you know, I think.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

You know, and I think actually, in a way, you bring up a good point because this is something I thought of this morning because I've been listening to a lot of stuff on masculinity and I think that there are.

Speaker B

There are a lot of.

Speaker B

There are a lot of influencers and public figures in the masculinity space who have an absolutely toxic version of masculinity.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

That they espouse.

Speaker B

And I think that there are nuggets, even within the context of that toxicity, there are nuggets of truth because, you know, mass, the masculine energy can be overpowering, destructive at times.

Speaker B

So what I hope will do is take the nuggets, but also introduce something that is more evolved, to say the least.

Speaker A

Good.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker B

So.

Speaker A

Well, you have to be careful because, you know, it's human nature.

Speaker A

The more you're exposed to a concept, even if you.

Speaker A

It's false and you don't believe it, if you keep hearing it, eventually, you know, you'll start to accept it big time.

Speaker A

You know, so that's.

Speaker A

I think that's the danger.

Speaker A

There are these nuggets of knowledge there that can be dug out, but the downside is you're listening to this stuff over.

Speaker A

Or not you specifically, but a person could be trying to hearing these things and they keep listening and listening and all of a sudden no, you know, people are getting indoctrinated and it's bad.

Speaker B

Yes, Me specifically.

Speaker A

You specifically.

Speaker B

Me specifically.

Speaker B

Anybody can, can be, anybody can be affected by that.

Speaker B

So actually, so this, you led perfectly into the next thing that I wanted to talk about.

Speaker A

Hey, you know.

Speaker B

All right, so so far the symbol, the, the, what do you call it, the logo for this brand so far, very simple.

Speaker B

It's a heart.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker B

With three, with a three dots connected by a line.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker B

Because love, we.

Speaker B

Because even though it's about.

Speaker A

Yeah, vagina.

Speaker A

Sorry.

Speaker B

So you might be part of the masculinity course.

Speaker A

I'm sorry, I interrupted your flow.

Speaker A

So the concept is hard.

Speaker B

That's hilarious.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

Because that's exactly what it looks like.

Speaker B

I guess it could be interpreted that way, but that's not what I meant.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

What I meant was that because it's called Masters of the Universe and there's something there could be.

Speaker B

You know, obviously most people our age think of he man, which is, you know, is what it is, but I think some people have actually a negative association with the term Masters of the Universe because the term master can be a little touchy.

Speaker A

Sure.

Speaker B

And then, and then Masters of the Universe is also, was something associated with like the 80s finance thing.

Speaker B

And it was a very, that was also a toxic culture.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker B

So for me, putting love at the center of the mission was a very important thing.

Speaker B

And I don't think, you know, I don't think those, all these other brands and whatever in these cultures get to own the term Masters of the Universe.

Speaker B

I think we get to own it.

Speaker A

Yeah, I, I, that's a great point.

Speaker A

And I see the, you're kind of almost subverting those, those negatives.

Speaker A

Yeah, just right on, right from the get go.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

And the, the, the three dots was basically a reference for the, the idea that the, the three, the number three is sort of like a, like a spiritual number in a way.

Speaker B

And it's also the, the three sided, like a triangle is the strongest geometric shape and the what the water molecule is the universal solvent.

Speaker B

And many believe that it's what it makes life possible.

Speaker B

Because if you, you think about when we look for life on other planets, there's.

Speaker B

Do we always look for water?

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker B

Because water is the, you know, we don't know obviously, but because there could be life in existence within the context of methane or, you know, alcohol, who knows any other molecule.

Speaker B

But water is this thing that's part of our humanity.

Speaker B

So anyway, that was the Idea for the logo, but I think that I'd like to expand the logo to be just the outline of a human body.

Speaker B

And I can't decide man or woman, or maybe we make two of them, or maybe it's just androgynous or something.

Speaker B

But it's actually a human body.

Speaker B

But then there's a starscape inside.

Speaker B

So it's just the outline inside the starscapes.

Speaker B

But then the little heart is where the heart would be.

Speaker B

And that's mastering your universe.

Speaker B

Because you're not mastering.

Speaker B

You have to master.

Speaker A

You read my mind.

Speaker A

I was like mastering your.

Speaker A

Mastering your universe.

Speaker B

Yes.

Speaker A

Not subjugating reality.

Speaker B

Yes, exactly right.

Speaker B

And that's.

Speaker B

I'll tell you, the actual inspiration for the name was that I worked because I worked.

Speaker B

I was a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and I was working for a guy who.

Speaker B

I don't necessarily.

Speaker B

Let's just say this man was not necessarily like guru for me or anything.

Speaker B

And I didn't even get along with him, frankly.

Speaker B

But he did say something to me that will never leave me, actually.

Speaker B

He said, and I was so shitty back then.

Speaker B

And I was actually, I had a lot of, you know, because I knew you then, and I had a lot of unhealthy habits back then.

Speaker B

And he turned to me and I wasn't doing a good job in my job.

Speaker B

And he said, you don't really master your universe, do you?

Speaker B

And I said, what do you mean?

Speaker B

He said, well, you know, like, take pride in your universe.

Speaker B

Like the stuff you wear, like choosing the.

Speaker B

Just choosing your outfit or choosing your shoes or having nice things or controlling your environment.

Speaker B

You don't master your universe.

Speaker B

And I was like, this douchebag is right about me, you know, and so that's where it came from.

Speaker B

So it's not about mastering other people, it's about mastering yourself first, you know?

Speaker B

Anyway, so that's the whole thing.

Speaker B

That's the whole thing.

Speaker A

So.

Speaker A

So you're thinking podcasts for this?

Speaker A

I just want to touch base on what you're like producing.

Speaker A

What?

Speaker B

Okay, yeah, so I was thinking, I'm actually a member of a bunch of Facebook groups that are all about just spiritual sort of enlightenment and self help and stuff.

Speaker B

And I just thought actually maybe inviting people on to tell their about their journeys and not make it even about giving specific advice or anything like that.

Speaker B

That was one idea.

Speaker B

It was just, why don't we just invite people on and say, hey, look, you're going, you're not, you haven't arrived.

Speaker B

No one Has.

Speaker B

But if you have the courage to tell your story, then come on the show and just chat with us and tell.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

There's something so inspiring.

Speaker A

It's about the human condition and other people's journeys.

Speaker A

They're willing to share and be open.

Speaker B

Right.

Speaker A

And I do love the interview format too.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

So, yeah.

Speaker B

My only issue, of course, as you know, is that we have a hard enough time scheduling the interviews for our current show.

Speaker B

So I don't want to be over.

Speaker B

I don't want to over commit to something like that.

Speaker B

But I think it could be something we do once in a while.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

And the other format that I had in mind was basically like a book review format where.

Speaker A

Great idea.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Where we just have self help books that we read and we just chapter by chapter like we used to do with that other book and just come on and do, you know, just talk, just underline, circle a few items and just come on and talk about it.

Speaker B

Those are the only two ideas I had, actually.

Speaker A

I like them.

Speaker A

I like them both.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker A

And.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

So anyway, I'm down.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

And it's not like we have to, you know, commit to it or anything in this moment.

Speaker B

I just thought let's just keep it on the whiteboard, so to speak.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker B

You know.

Speaker A

Good.

Speaker B

Good stuff.

Speaker B

Yeah.

Speaker B

Okay.

Speaker B

That's it.

Speaker B

How long was that?

Speaker A

You tell me.

Speaker A

I don't know.

Speaker B

So maybe I'll do a simulcast.

Speaker B

Actually.

Speaker B

So I'll give myself homework for this week, see if I can get.

Speaker B

Produce another logo based upon the.

Speaker B

The human form one and.

Speaker B

And actually maybe that's it.

Speaker A

That's good.

Speaker A

That's good.

Speaker A

Take a step forward.

Speaker B

It's.

Speaker A

I think our.

Speaker A

Yeah, I think we're been about 20 minutes.

Speaker B

Good.

Speaker B

Let's just quit because I have to before my 12:30.

Speaker B

Later, dude.

Speaker A

Bye.
