Got it.
Speaker BSo I've been trying different settings with zoom because I want it to record this.
Speaker BYou know, what's it called?
Speaker BI want it to record gallery view, but it continue even though I have it set to record gallery view.
Speaker BAnd even though we're talking right now in gallery view, when I rewatch, when I load the recording in post, it has a speaker view, which means whoever's speaking pops up as the main view.
Speaker BI've tried a lot of.
Speaker BWe've done a lot of podcasts, and I've been trying, futzing around with the different settings, and it keeps doing the same issue.
Speaker BSo I can't get.
Speaker BFor some reason, I can't get it to.
Speaker BTo do it.
Speaker AInteresting.
Speaker BSo this is the get you some productions podcast episode.
Speaker BI don't even know what episode, but we're getting close to a hundred.
Speaker BAnd I find this to be really interesting because when I wanted to start the podcast, I was a big fan of this dude named James Altucher.
Speaker BAnd James Altucher is friends with Gary Vaynerchuk.
Speaker BYou know, Gary Vaynerchuk is.
Speaker BNo, he's an entrepreneur, you know, guru, something like that.
Speaker BAnd they basically had this thing.
Speaker BThey did it.
Speaker BThey did it.
Speaker BThey did a podcast episode, and they said, you need a podcast.
Speaker BEveryone needs a podcast, because you need your own platform that you control.
Speaker BAnd they talked about all the benefits.
Speaker BAnd I think actually you and I had a back and forth where I think I sent you a list from James Altucher that I think was produced right around the time of this show.
Speaker B99 reasons to have a podcast.
Speaker AYes, I remember that.
Speaker BYeah, it was many.
Speaker BIt was years ago now.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd he did.
Speaker BAnd they did it.
Speaker BThey did a.
Speaker BThey did a thing where they said, anybody who starts a podcast as a result of this show, tweet at us with our handles, these specific handles, and we'll feature you on our podcast.
Speaker BI don't know if anybody ever did it, but that one of the items was that you don't have a podcast until you get to episode 100.
Speaker BAnd I find it.
Speaker BI think we may have talked about this in the olden days, too, but I feel like we're coming up on episode 100, and we're also simultaneously, in a way, just coming into our own.
Speaker BYou know, the show's leveled up.
Speaker BIt's become more of a thing.
Speaker BWe have this steady stream of guests now.
Speaker BWe have kind of a niche.
Speaker BYou know, it's all this stuff that's sort of crystallizing.
Speaker BAnd it just so happens we're up to episode.
Speaker BWe're almost up to episode 100.
Speaker BDo that again, I dare you.
Speaker BSnapshot that.
Speaker BThat's going to be the thumbnail.
Speaker ASo, Keith, did you Google how to record a zoom meeting in gallery view?
Speaker BI did.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BAnd I.
Speaker BAnd I.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd I.
Speaker BI changed the settings and blah, blah, blah.
Speaker ASo we're using cloud recording.
Speaker AWe're doing cloud recording, right?
Speaker BYes.
Speaker ACheck the record gallery view with shared screen option.
Speaker AClick save.
Speaker ADid you hit save?
Speaker ASorry.
Speaker BYou know, that's actually a really good point.
Speaker BOkay, so maybe I didn't save.
Speaker BAll right, so, okay, okay.
Speaker BAnyway, what I wanted to talk to you about was the Masters of the Universe Club.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BSo I have been interested in and really devoted to this idea that it would be good, even though we have all these music brands, it would be good to develop on the side a potential self help, self improvement type of brand.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BI don't think we're going to put, you know, we're not going to put all of our effort into it, not by a long stretch.
Speaker BBut it's something that, you know, maybe every once in a while I'd like to come back to and revisit.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BAnd keep it moving forward.
Speaker BAll the socials are established.
Speaker BI've actually done a bunch of podcasts.
Speaker BIt has.
Speaker BThere's a website devoted to it, so it's all set up and ready to go.
Speaker BAnd it's called the Masters of the Universe Club.
Speaker BAnd I listened to another show by some other dude who's all about, you know, masculinity and stepping into your power and all this junk.
Speaker BAnd I was inspired this morning by that show.
Speaker BAnd I thought, okay, maybe today would be a good day just to do a real quick touch base about what this show is about.
Speaker BAnd, and I do kind of envision it being under the umbrella of Gacha San Productions, because it's just another brand.
Speaker BAnd of course, you know, it's sort of like it's part of the process of my life, but of course I want to bring my boys with me.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BYou know, so the idea is that it's just about becoming and inspiring people and creating a community of people who want to become the best versions of themselves.
Speaker BAnd for me, I think that I'm sort of figuring, trying to figure out what my purpose is, because I feel like purpose is a very important thing for a person to have, but I also think purpose is a very important thing for masculinity.
Speaker BAnd I think I'm sort of beginning to crystallize what I think my purpose Is.
Speaker BAnd I think we've had this conversation before, you and I, but I think my purpose actually is to explore the boundaries of what a person, what a human being can become and become and explore those boundaries and become the best version of a human that you possibly can become.
Speaker BAnd that means a lot of different things.
Speaker BBut I think that the Masters of the Universe Club is a good platform and context within to explore something like that.
Speaker BAnd, and so that's kind of my idea.
Speaker BI don't really.
Speaker BAnd I have some other things to say, but I don't want to.
Speaker BYeah, I don't want to talk too much.
Speaker BI just want to sort of like get a more conversation going about it.
Speaker AI, I think it's a good idea, a good concept and I really think it would be more about the format at this point.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker AYou know, so.
Speaker AAnd as a side note, hold on.
Speaker AI was just getting a call there personally.
Speaker ANeed to engage in some of these self cultivation techniques because I'm feeling like I'm not, I have a potential and I, I could be here and I'm here and I'm ready to make some changes.
Speaker ASo it can almost be like a guinea pig for the process on there.
Speaker ASo, you know, and that was something I want to talk to you about in person because I know you're going to be down here somewhat soon.
Speaker BWell, you have to plan that right away.
Speaker BSo I'm working.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BSo we're figuring that my family, we're working on the scheduling right now and we're, I'm going to, you know, we're going to make that happen as soon as I can because I do have to come.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BSo there's two things you mentioned that I think are super important, the format.
Speaker BSo one thing that I think is really important and I'm so glad you brought up the format because I think that probably one of the main things that has been a struggle for me and that's one of the things that I wanted to ask you to help me with.
Speaker BNot necessarily on this call, but to be kind of a partner for me in how do we make the format right and how do I make this presentable and impactful for us and for other people, whoever wants to join in this, you know, thing, but with the least amount of work for us, you know, the least amount of, you know, how do we make this look the best with the least amount of.
Speaker BBecause we want to improve, you know, we want to empower and help other people improve.
Speaker BBut, but also we want to make it as easy as possible so that people actually do improve and so that we can improve, but we also have to be mindful of that we're producing a finished product.
Speaker BSo format is super important.
Speaker BI don't think we have to go into that on this call.
Speaker BBut I think that just for me, like, you just.
Speaker BI think it's great.
Speaker BYou just were very open and authentic by saying, hey, I need to level up certain things in my life.
Speaker BAnd I think that objectively speaking, if we were to look at both of our lives, you and I, in this moment.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BWe can timestamp this.
Speaker BOctober 30, 2024.
Speaker BThere are some things in both of our lives that are great.
Speaker BI'll speak for myself.
Speaker BThere are some things going terribly wrong in my life.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BThat I need to get a handle on.
Speaker BSo I think this is going to be a worthwhile journey for both of us, you know, and that's the point.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker BSo that's the only thing.
Speaker BSo that's.
Speaker BSo this is the only.
Speaker BMy only object was to sort of put this back on the radar, put this back on the.
Speaker BOn the whiteboard, so to speak.
Speaker ASo we could call it like nutritious masculinity or the opposite of toxic.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BBecause, you know, I think.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BYou know, and I think actually, in a way, you bring up a good point because this is something I thought of this morning because I've been listening to a lot of stuff on masculinity and I think that there are.
Speaker BThere are a lot of.
Speaker BThere are a lot of influencers and public figures in the masculinity space who have an absolutely toxic version of masculinity.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BThat they espouse.
Speaker BAnd I think that there are nuggets, even within the context of that toxicity, there are nuggets of truth because, you know, mass, the masculine energy can be overpowering, destructive at times.
Speaker BSo what I hope will do is take the nuggets, but also introduce something that is more evolved, to say the least.
Speaker AGood.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker BSo.
Speaker AWell, you have to be careful because, you know, it's human nature.
Speaker AThe more you're exposed to a concept, even if you.
Speaker AIt's false and you don't believe it, if you keep hearing it, eventually, you know, you'll start to accept it big time.
Speaker AYou know, so that's.
Speaker AI think that's the danger.
Speaker AThere are these nuggets of knowledge there that can be dug out, but the downside is you're listening to this stuff over.
Speaker AOr not you specifically, but a person could be trying to hearing these things and they keep listening and listening and all of a sudden no, you know, people are getting indoctrinated and it's bad.
Speaker BYes, Me specifically.
Speaker AYou specifically.
Speaker BMe specifically.
Speaker BAnybody can, can be, anybody can be affected by that.
Speaker BSo actually, so this, you led perfectly into the next thing that I wanted to talk about.
Speaker AHey, you know.
Speaker BAll right, so so far the symbol, the, the, what do you call it, the logo for this brand so far, very simple.
Speaker BIt's a heart.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker BWith three, with a three dots connected by a line.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BBecause love, we.
Speaker BBecause even though it's about.
Speaker AYeah, vagina.
Speaker ASorry.
Speaker BSo you might be part of the masculinity course.
Speaker AI'm sorry, I interrupted your flow.
Speaker ASo the concept is hard.
Speaker BThat's hilarious.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BBecause that's exactly what it looks like.
Speaker BI guess it could be interpreted that way, but that's not what I meant.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BWhat I meant was that because it's called Masters of the Universe and there's something there could be.
Speaker BYou know, obviously most people our age think of he man, which is, you know, is what it is, but I think some people have actually a negative association with the term Masters of the Universe because the term master can be a little touchy.
Speaker ASure.
Speaker BAnd then, and then Masters of the Universe is also, was something associated with like the 80s finance thing.
Speaker BAnd it was a very, that was also a toxic culture.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker BSo for me, putting love at the center of the mission was a very important thing.
Speaker BAnd I don't think, you know, I don't think those, all these other brands and whatever in these cultures get to own the term Masters of the Universe.
Speaker BI think we get to own it.
Speaker AYeah, I, I, that's a great point.
Speaker AAnd I see the, you're kind of almost subverting those, those negatives.
Speaker AYeah, just right on, right from the get go.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd the, the, the three dots was basically a reference for the, the idea that the, the three, the number three is sort of like a, like a spiritual number in a way.
Speaker BAnd it's also the, the three sided, like a triangle is the strongest geometric shape and the what the water molecule is the universal solvent.
Speaker BAnd many believe that it's what it makes life possible.
Speaker BBecause if you, you think about when we look for life on other planets, there's.
Speaker BDo we always look for water?
Speaker BRight.
Speaker BBecause water is the, you know, we don't know obviously, but because there could be life in existence within the context of methane or, you know, alcohol, who knows any other molecule.
Speaker BBut water is this thing that's part of our humanity.
Speaker BSo anyway, that was the Idea for the logo, but I think that I'd like to expand the logo to be just the outline of a human body.
Speaker BAnd I can't decide man or woman, or maybe we make two of them, or maybe it's just androgynous or something.
Speaker BBut it's actually a human body.
Speaker BBut then there's a starscape inside.
Speaker BSo it's just the outline inside the starscapes.
Speaker BBut then the little heart is where the heart would be.
Speaker BAnd that's mastering your universe.
Speaker BBecause you're not mastering.
Speaker BYou have to master.
Speaker AYou read my mind.
Speaker AI was like mastering your.
Speaker AMastering your universe.
Speaker BYes.
Speaker ANot subjugating reality.
Speaker BYes, exactly right.
Speaker BAnd that's.
Speaker BI'll tell you, the actual inspiration for the name was that I worked because I worked.
Speaker BI was a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and I was working for a guy who.
Speaker BI don't necessarily.
Speaker BLet's just say this man was not necessarily like guru for me or anything.
Speaker BAnd I didn't even get along with him, frankly.
Speaker BBut he did say something to me that will never leave me, actually.
Speaker BHe said, and I was so shitty back then.
Speaker BAnd I was actually, I had a lot of, you know, because I knew you then, and I had a lot of unhealthy habits back then.
Speaker BAnd he turned to me and I wasn't doing a good job in my job.
Speaker BAnd he said, you don't really master your universe, do you?
Speaker BAnd I said, what do you mean?
Speaker BHe said, well, you know, like, take pride in your universe.
Speaker BLike the stuff you wear, like choosing the.
Speaker BJust choosing your outfit or choosing your shoes or having nice things or controlling your environment.
Speaker BYou don't master your universe.
Speaker BAnd I was like, this douchebag is right about me, you know, and so that's where it came from.
Speaker BSo it's not about mastering other people, it's about mastering yourself first, you know?
Speaker BAnyway, so that's the whole thing.
Speaker BThat's the whole thing.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker ASo you're thinking podcasts for this?
Speaker AI just want to touch base on what you're like producing.
Speaker AWhat?
Speaker BOkay, yeah, so I was thinking, I'm actually a member of a bunch of Facebook groups that are all about just spiritual sort of enlightenment and self help and stuff.
Speaker BAnd I just thought actually maybe inviting people on to tell their about their journeys and not make it even about giving specific advice or anything like that.
Speaker BThat was one idea.
Speaker BIt was just, why don't we just invite people on and say, hey, look, you're going, you're not, you haven't arrived.
Speaker BNo one Has.
Speaker BBut if you have the courage to tell your story, then come on the show and just chat with us and tell.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AThere's something so inspiring.
Speaker AIt's about the human condition and other people's journeys.
Speaker AThey're willing to share and be open.
Speaker BRight.
Speaker AAnd I do love the interview format too.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker ASo, yeah.
Speaker BMy only issue, of course, as you know, is that we have a hard enough time scheduling the interviews for our current show.
Speaker BSo I don't want to be over.
Speaker BI don't want to over commit to something like that.
Speaker BBut I think it could be something we do once in a while.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BAnd the other format that I had in mind was basically like a book review format where.
Speaker AGreat idea.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BWhere we just have self help books that we read and we just chapter by chapter like we used to do with that other book and just come on and do, you know, just talk, just underline, circle a few items and just come on and talk about it.
Speaker BThose are the only two ideas I had, actually.
Speaker AI like them.
Speaker AI like them both.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BSo anyway, I'm down.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BAnd it's not like we have to, you know, commit to it or anything in this moment.
Speaker BI just thought let's just keep it on the whiteboard, so to speak.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker BYou know.
Speaker AGood.
Speaker BGood stuff.
Speaker BYeah.
Speaker BOkay.
Speaker BThat's it.
Speaker BHow long was that?
Speaker AYou tell me.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker BSo maybe I'll do a simulcast.
Speaker BActually.
Speaker BSo I'll give myself homework for this week, see if I can get.
Speaker BProduce another logo based upon the.
Speaker BThe human form one and.
Speaker BAnd actually maybe that's it.
Speaker AThat's good.
Speaker AThat's good.
Speaker ATake a step forward.
Speaker BIt's.
Speaker AI think our.
Speaker AYeah, I think we're been about 20 minutes.
Speaker BGood.
Speaker BLet's just quit because I have to before my 12:30.
Speaker BLater, dude.
Speaker ABye.
