Dana Stanley 00:00:01 We've all heard the saying, stop and smell the roses, but how often do we take that advice to heart? And what if we applied this to our Disney World trips? I'm Dana, a mom of three who unexpectedly fell in love with Disney World. I grew up as a Disneyland kid. I never went to Disney World until I was an adult. And when I first went, I really went into it grouchy because to me, nothing could top the original park. And I never would have guessed that over the years, especially once our daughter was born and now two more kids later, I've really fallen in love with the planning of our trips the most. As we started visiting more. And this topic came up with my friends at drop off or at work. I found out that people kind of fall into two buckets. They either really, really love Disney World or they complain about it was being too hot, too crowded, expensive, and really hard to plan for. And if they did feel any magic at all, it's definitely mentioned last.
Dana Stanley 00:00:59 And I think this happens because for a lot of us, we have so much riding on this trip and we feel like we have to rush from one thing to another to get the most out of it. So there is no way that we're stopping for anything, let alone smelling roses. It's kind of like a rite of passage, and I've seen it firsthand over and over again. You take the kids to Disney World and you come home saying, well, we're never doing that again. But here's what I believe. I think that there's a way to plan that maximizes your time and lets you slow down and be present with your kids, because that's the whole point, right? That's why this podcast will have a new episode every Monday with a topic to help you plan. I'll give you ways to make the planning manageable, maybe even a little fun. Dana Stanley 00:01:51 It's about shifting your mindset, planning the right way, and that will create room for the magic to happen. And here's what I'm most excited about.
