Most people think they are a physical being living in a physical universe, but in reality, you're a vibrational being in a vibrational universe. And that changes absolutely everything because you're more powerful than you could ever imagine. Right now, in this moment, you are both a transmitter and a receiver of energy, broadcasting a signal into the universe that is either pulling your dreams toward you or pushing them away. And one of the greatest challenges of being human is that nobody ever teaches you this. Nobody ever hands you the manual for how to actually live is the vibrational being that you are. And I know this firsthand. I had 2 homes in foreclosure. I was addicted to sex and drugs. I woke up every single day feeling like I was dying on the inside. And today I've built a $50 million business and a podcast that reaches over 2 million people every single month. But I didn't create that shift trying to control my external circumstances. It was a natural byproduct of a shift in my frequency. As I learned how to raise my vibration, my reality changed. So if you've been feeling stuck, anxious, exhausted, like no matter how hard you try, nothing actually changes, the reason isn't because you're stupid or broken. You simply need to learn how to raise your vibration. And in this episode, I'm going to show you what vibration actually is, why it's the most important thing that nobody ever taught you, and the most powerful practices that exist today so you can raise your vibration, create more abundance, heal your body, and collapse the gap between where you are and the life that you know you're supposed to be living.

Welcome to A Changed Mind. Now, let's start by clarifying what raising your vibration actually means. The term raising your vibration is a term that's been used for literally thousands of years, going back to the ancient Greek Hermetics to the New Thought movement of the 1800s and 1900s, and it was formalized with the work of Dr. David Hawkins and his Map of Consciousness in the 1980s. And what Hawkins created was a scale that went from 1 to 1,000, and he used muscle testing to determine the level of vibration of different emotions, of people who existed throughout history, even of places and things. For example, an emotion like shame measures 20 on Hawkins' scale. Fear is 100, courage is 200, love is a 500 calibration, all the way to higher states of enlightenment at 700 to 1,000. And so in this sense, higher emotional states are emotions that feel good, and we call this a high vibration emotion. Vibrations that don't feel good are referred to as lower vibration emotions. And this concept is rooted in the idea that we as human beings are energetic organisms. And that thoughts and emotions that we frequently practice emanate through our brain and our nervous system, and they create an electromagnetic frequency within our bodies. And because everything is energy, swirls of atoms and molecules and subatomic particles, the frequency that we broadcast attracts thoughts, it attracts situations, it attracts circumstances, and you therefore create your reality. And so the higher your consistent state of vibration, the more beneficial experiences that you attract into your life. And this just makes sense. Like even on a practical level, lower level emotions like anger or jealousy are dense. They contract the body. They constrict your perception. They activate your stress physiology. They move you into survival mode. But higher level emotions are light. They're expansive. They create openness in the nervous system. They increase your clarity. They widen your perception. So when we talk about vibration, what we're talking about is the emotional frequency that you generally tend to live in, the frequency that your nervous system has become habituated to. So I want you to think about like, where do you frequently live? You know, for years, decades, probably I lived in anxiety and worry. Today I live a little bit more in faith, excitement, compassion, love. So on Hawkins scale, emotions like shame or guilt or worry, they sit at lower calibrations. And if you think about it, this is where most people live most of the time., and this is really important to understand because if you look at what's going on in the world today, from the loneliness epidemic to suicide rates, the number of people on medication, our sick society, even if you look at the number of people who are living in financial insecurity, even if you look at what's going on in the world in terms of armed conflict and corruption, it's because most people are spending most of their time operating from these lower level frequencies. And so that's the kind of world that they're creating. But what Hawkins says in his book, Power Versus Force, is that around level 200, you find courage. And when you hit courage, you start moving from what he calls force or forcing it to power, which is when life starts to flow through you. So courage is the moment that you start stepping out of fear-based emotions. And when you start living more from courage, that's when things start to change. I mentioned that Hawkins measured not only emotions, but he also measured people. He calibrated their frequency and that's where you can really see how energy works as a force that shapes reality. And in many cases, high vibrational people literally change the world. Gandhi, for example, calibrated according to Hawkins scale at around 760, really, really high, which explains why Gandhi was able to mobilize and attract hundreds of millions of people into nonviolent resistance, not through armies or resources, but literally through presence and frequency. Mother Teresa, according to Hawkins, calibrated around 700. And people who spent even a few minutes in her presence consistently reported feeling profoundly moved and peaceful and uplifted, often without even understanding why. And this is why if you walk into a room with someone who lives at a low vibrational frequency, you can feel that vibe in the room. But if you step into a room with somebody who's living in higher vibrational states, you feel good around them. So this is the transmission of high vibrational energy from one person to another, or low vibrational energy from one person to another. So it's real., and it literally shapes reality. And at the other end of the spectrum, the most destructive figures in history were operating from the lowest vibrational states. Hawkins measured architects of various genocides in history from Hitler to Stalin, and they all calibrated at the bottom of the scale. And what's remarkable about Hawkins' model is that it gives us a framework for understanding not just individual psychology, but the history of human civilization as a battle between vibrational levels. And what's happening right now is a lot of people are actually moving up the vibrational scale, and it may not seem like it, but for most of humanity, we've been living in extreme fear, worry, anxiety, overwhelm, and now we're moving into anger. Anger is actually positive movement up the scale. You go from overwhelm and fear to anger, to resentment, to then kind of like a boredom with it, and then eventually you cross over into calm and courage and positive emotional states.. And one of the most staggering statistics from Hawkins research is this: a single person operating at a consciousness level of 700 counterbalances 70 million people operating below 200. At 600 calibration, one person counterbalances 10 million people who are living below 200. And this is why personal growth and spiritual growth isn't selfish. It's actually one of the most significant contributions that you can make to the vibrational collective. Because when you raise your vibration, you're not just improving your own life, you're shifting the collective field. And so raising your vibration simply means this: it's moving from primal emotional states into powerful emotional states. Now, why does this matter? It matters because higher vibrational states are conducive to everything that you want— a healthier body, more financial security, spiritual connection, presence— because joy, calm, curiosity, peace, These are states that positively regulate the nervous system. They activate the parasympathetic tone of your nervous system. They improve immune response, they reduce inflammation. You know, Western medicine already acknowledges that most chronic diseases in the developed world are stress-related. So stress is a primal state, not a powerful state. And so when you're chronically stressed, you're chronically in fight or flight, and your sympathetic nervous system is active. That means your cortisol is elevated, there's inflammation, there's constriction. That is a low vibrational state and it consistently taxes the system and it doesn't just drain your body of its health. It clouds perception. And again, this is why personal growth is so important because unprocessed childhood traumas and emotional triggers are programs that live in your nervous system and they pull you into lower vibrational states. And when that happens, all of your energy and resources are going towards dealing with the tension and the resistance and the friction in the system, as opposed to expressing your energy outward. So when you clear clear out your fears and your resentments and your anger, you naturally start to move into a higher emotional and vibrational state. Now, this is a really important thing to understand because getting into a high vibrational state isn't as much about trying to get into a high vibrational state. It's just stop doing what's keeping you in a low vibrational state. And when you move into a high vibrational state, now your energy is naturally being used productively. You have greater levels of intuition, better health, better ideas, a greater level of presence in your life. And from a manifestation standpoint, the principle is really simple. Like attracts like. So however you are vibrating, lower vibrational emotional states create lower vibrational experiences like sickness, poverty, daily problems. But when you raise your vibration, you attract higher vibrational experiences. You become healthier, you become more connected, you become more purposeful, more prosperous, more capable of contributing meaningfully to the world. And so I would say that raising your vibration is not a luxury. It's a necessity. And it's not just our thoughts or limiting beliefs or our fears that keep us in lower vibrational states, but what you eat matters. For example, like highly processed foods, seed oils, excessive sugar, high fructose corn syrup. These are lower frequency inputs because they're unnatural inputs. And that's why they create inflammation. Inflammation is your body's response to lower vibrational inputs, and lower vibrational inputs create stress on the system, and stress creates energy leaks. And so the energy of your cells becomes allocated to managing internal friction rather than fueling higher levels of function like clarity or sharpness or vibrancy. You know, think about it. High vibrations equal vibrancy, and that's what you want to be vibrant, to be active, to be alive, both mentally and physically and emotionally and spiritually. But when your system is tasked with constantly managing stressors, right, biochemical stressors or emotional stressors, you are not operating at your natural baseline. You're constantly compensating, and that compensation lowers your vibrational capacity. And the reason so many people are struggling to feel good is because our entire environment has been structured to keep you in a low vibrational state. Not just food, but screens and scrolling and rapid shifting of attention and media propaganda and the fear and the doom and the gloom. All these things, unless you're vigilant about it, drain your energy and lower your vibration. And that's why you're seeing a lot of people moving away from technology and from media. There's like a great opt-out taking place. People are returning to nature. They're returning to what's real because you can feel that something isn't right in today's fabricated reality. You can feel your vibration being pulled down, can't you? And a lot of times the first big step towards raising your vibration isn't about doing something. As I said before, it's about not doing what's been pulling your vibration down. You know, doing a 7-day digital detox, spending more time outdoors instead of online, meeting with friends in person instead of doing everything on virtual Zoom calls. Quitting alcohol is a huge phenomenon right now. Easing up on caffeine, which hijacks your nervous system. You can literally change your frequency by simply taking a break from the things that are pulling you down. And then at the same time, there are some simple daily practices that you can start to train your nervous system into a higher frequency. So I'm going to share a couple of my favorites with you. Number one, one of my favorite practices that's made an enormous difference for me is a really simple breathwork protocol. And you may have heard about things like box breathing or Wim Hof techniques or nasal breathing, but what I found to be incredibly effective is this little, it's called heart rate variability breath practice. You can do it for anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. And it works like this. You breathe through your nose. So you inhale through your nose and you exhale through your nose and you inhale for 5.5 seconds. And then you immediately exhale for 5.5 seconds, and then you immediately inhale for 5.5 seconds. And you do that for about 10 to 20 minutes, no pause in between the inhale or exhale. So it's a little bit of an active breath. It's like, Just like that. No pause in between. I do it during online meetings. I do it when I'm in the car. I try to do it once a day. And it's so effective that literally some people report it as having the same effect as taking like a pharmaceutical muscle, pharmaceutical muscle relaxant. And I actually find that to be true. After about 20 minutes, like I'm so chilled out. I feel like it was back in the day and I took something. So it immediately resets the state of the nervous system and it moves the body back into a high vibrational frequency. It is one of the most powerful and accessible tools that I know of. Number 2, my next go-to practice is simply a hard physical workout. It doesn't matter what it is. It could be weight training. It could be running. It could be biking. It could be yoga, but putting your body through an intense workout, intense enough that your mind doesn't have the bandwidth to worry. Okay. So what this really is is an active meditation because beyond all of the well-documented biochemical benefits, the release of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, BDNF, the reduction in cortisol, the simple fact is that when you're working out hard enough, you're not engaging in low vibrational thoughts. You just don't have the capacity to do it. You aren't worrying about the past or catastrophizing about the future because you're so fully present on working out. You're fully present in your body for 30, 45, 60 minutes. And that presence is itself a high vibrational state. Remember what I said, one of the best and easiest ways to shift your frequency and to build a new frequency over a short period of time is just to stop doing the things that are locking you into a lower level frequency. So when you train hard, you can't worry. And that's why an intense workout is something that I do anywhere from 2 to 4 times a week. Sometimes I train with weights. Sometimes I do some intense yoga. Sometimes I do some cardio. Number 3, the third practice is to regularly consume high vibrational content. You know, normally we think about nutrition as just stuff we put in our mouth, but you've got 5 senses. What you see, what you hear, what you feel, and listening to motivational and inspirational teachings, to spiritual wisdom, to people who speak truth is high vibrational input. Years ago, when I decided I needed to change my life and that I was going to no longer live in anxiety, I was going to get off medications. I was going to stop abusing drugs and alcohol and pornography and sex. I had to create new habits. And so every single morning and whenever I needed it throughout the day, I was listening to people like Neville Goddard, Les Brown, Eckhart Tolle, Joel Osteen. I was listening to scripture regardless of the tradition, the Bible, the Quran, the New Thought teachings, the science of mind. All that stuff feeds your mind and your nervous system and your soul with high vibrational inputs. Fourth practice is journaling. Simply sitting down and writing out how you are feeling creates a bridge to your own emotional world. So you're no longer holding all the emotions in. You're talking about it. You're talking about it with yourself, or you're talking about it with God or whoever you write to. It allows you to begin starting to touch your emotions rather than suppressing or ignoring them. 'Cause what ends up happening is we reach for a cup of coffee, we reach for some alcohol, we reach for our phone or our screens or whatever it is, and we bypass feeling the emotions that are wanting to be properly processed. And in recent years, one of the most transformative things that has deepened this practice for me is what's called somatic work. Which is actually going into a lower level emotion when it comes up and feeling it for just a few minutes rather than running from it or, or, or trying to bypass it. And so when a low vibrational feeling comes up, it's a trigger. It's an old memory. It's an unprocessed experience or a trauma that's never been properly metabolized, and it will keep coming up again and again until you actually feel it. And so whether it's through journaling or whether it's through a deeper somatic process where you physically locate where that emotion is in your body and you start to feel the emotion emotions, you start to diffuse the charges. And as you diffuse these charges and triggers, they lose their power over you. They no longer exist inside of you. And in the same way, you start to become naturally and organically a higher vibrational person because there's lower vibrational charges that you're letting go of. And the fifth and perhaps most important practice is being in community with other high vibrational people. This just makes sense. If you want to get good at a martial art, you train with great martial artists. If you want to get sober, you surround yourself with people who are living in recovery. And if you want to become a high vibrational person, you seek out, you spend time with, and you actively contribute to high vibrational relationships. That's one of the big reasons why I host my annual event, the Powerful Living Experience Live, where our entire community comes together for 3 days of high vibrational content and experience and connection. That's why having a network of friends who are talking about and committed to and practicing high vibrational habits is so important. It creates an emotional buffer zone, like a force field. It is a dojo for the soul, because if you want to get good at something like raising your vibration, it's not a do-it-yourself project. You have to do it with other people.
