Welcome back to another episode of health hack. And today I am continuing to talk about the benefits of detoxing. And this time I'm talking about it specifically to your gut health. When our toxic load in our body builds up, it causes inflammation. And whenever we have inflammation and stress on the body, it can impact the health of our gut and 70% of our immune system is actually housed in our gut as well. In addition to this, when our gut is full of toxins, and unhealthy and imbalanced, and overall, our body is has too many toxins, it starts to have us develop more food sensitivities. And so you may be finding that you can eat as many foods as you used to be able to eat, and you're not sure why. And it's because of this combination of the inflammation in your body and your toxic load. And when we take the time to do a 21 day functional medicine, detox and really open up your detox pathways and get those toxins out of your body, it lowers the inflammation, it heals your immune system, it starts the healing of your gut, and you will find that some of your food sensitivities might start to go away. It may take further gut healing in order to resolve more of those food sensitivities.
