Speaker B

Most women don't need another strategy.

Speaker B

They need a new standard.

Speaker B

Today's going to be a little bit of a gut check.

Speaker B

If you are tired of being in the same cycle over and over again, ask yourself, what am I currently tolerating that my next level wouldn't dare allow?

Speaker B

Now, I took a training on standards back in January, and I feel like I have made a ton of progress in 2025.

Speaker B

Quite honestly, I don't even know the January 2025 version of me.

Speaker B

In May of 2025, we are just so separated from each other, and I honor and love her for getting me here, but I truly do not feel connected to the January version of me whatsoever.

Speaker B

And so I am in this program with some friends, and we decided to retake this training on standards.

Speaker B

And now that I'm taking it again, I'm looking at it from a whole new perspective because this new version of me has even higher standards than before.

Speaker B

And I have really been able to sit down and journal through this and look at the standards that I changed in this year and what it has done for me.

Speaker B

Now, most of us know what we want, right?

Speaker B

You know what you want.

Speaker B

You want clarity, you want momentum, you want confidence, maybe you want cash flow.

Speaker B

But if you're still operating like the old version of you, who is reactive and lets your inbox run your day or whatever, that looks like, you might also need to raise your standards.

Speaker B

And our standards set our ceiling.

Speaker B

And James Clear, he says you don't rise to the level of your goals.

Speaker B

You fall to the level of your systems.

Speaker B

But I think we can also think of standards like this.

Speaker B

You know, you don't rise to the level of your goals.

Speaker B

You fall to the level of your standards because your standards are going to affect your thoughts, they're going to affect your actions, they're going to affect how you show up in the world every single day.

Speaker B

I'll just let y' all in on some of the standards that I raised in 2025.

Speaker B

One is I get my nails done.

Speaker B

Like my nails stay done now.

Speaker B

And this is something that I used to do all the time, and I really didn't think much about it.

Speaker B

And then for years, I didn't get my nails done because I was, you know, waiting tables, and I was busy.

Speaker B

And then with real estate, the narrative that I told myself was, I never had time.

Speaker B

I don't have time to go get my nails, and I'm so busy.

Speaker B

I'm just the busiest person on the whole world.

Speaker B

I said that for, like, five years, y' all.

Speaker B

I'm not joking.

Speaker B

I'm so busy.

Speaker B

And when we went to Europe last year, so October of 2024, I went, got my nails done, and I just felt so cute and girly.

Speaker B

And I was like, I'm gonna.

Speaker B

I'm gonna keep these.

Speaker B

I'm gonna keep my nails done.

Speaker B

And then when I took the standards training in January, I was like, okay, I'm gonna make a list of a couple of things that are my new standards for 2025.

Speaker B

And one of them was keeping my nails done.

Speaker B

And I'm not saying that you have to have a, like, a vanity goal when it comes to standards, but for me personally, having my nails done has signified something to my brain in terms of, like, I take care of myself.

Speaker B

I take pride in how I look.

Speaker B

I.

Speaker B

If I make a promise to myself, I put it in my calendar, I honor that in my calendar, and I ensure that it gets done.

Speaker B

And when I tell you there are times that I definitely do not want to go get my nails done, there might not be anything more painful to me than having to sit there for an hour and not be able to use my hands.

Speaker B

And it is just, like.

Speaker B

It is almost painful to me to sit in that chair every two weeks.

Speaker B

But I have done it because it is one of my standards.

Speaker B

Another standard of mine is wearing lipstick every day.

Speaker B

I don't have to get dressed up every day because there's some days where I might want to wear my husband's T shirt and sweatpants every day, but I'm still putting lipstick on.

Speaker B

I'm gonna get up, I brush my hair.

Speaker B

I'm gonna put lipstick on, because it.

Speaker B

It makes me feel good about myself.

Speaker B

It makes me feel confident that if someone came to the front door, I wouldn't be like, oh, my gosh.

Speaker B

I, like, looks, like, so terrible.

Speaker B

Like, embarrassed.

Speaker B

It's awful.

Speaker B

Like, hey, I've got my lipstick on.

Speaker B

I feel good about myself.

Speaker B

Another standard that I have really implemented in 2025 is the way that I let people treat me pre 2025.

Speaker B

I let people talk to me however they wanted, especially if they were a client and to Be fully transparent if they were a high end client, you know, when it came to real estate, if they're, you know, if they were paying a lot of money in commission, I really truly let people talk to me however I wanted to or however they wanted to.

Speaker B

And it makes me sad to look back and think of how people spoke to me or people how people treated me or how people talk to me.

Speaker B

And I just allowed it.

Speaker B

And now I had something happen this very week and someone wanted me to lower my standards when it came to how they were treating me.

Speaker B

And I flat out told them, you know what, I think it'd be best if you go use someone else.

Speaker B

And they were mind blown.

Speaker B

But I was like, absolutely not.

Speaker B

Like, I don't care how much money I'm going to make from you.

Speaker B

I have a standard for how I will be treated, period.

Speaker B

And your standards don't have to be these.

Speaker B

You don't have to have anything to do with how, you know, you allow people to treat you or how you look or your nails or lipstick, whatever it is.

Speaker B

We're all going to have different standards.

Speaker B

But having those core standards and sticking to them every single day, no matter what, is absolutely going to dictate what our life looks like a year from now, three years from now, five years from now.

Speaker B

I always talk about that, you know, think of your future self, think of your standards that your future self would have, you know, in five years.

Speaker B

If you were to accomplish the big goals that you have, what would your standards look like then?

Speaker B

Like, would you tolerate the same things that you tolerate today?

Speaker B

And when I asked myself that question, I was like, whoa, no, like I would not be spoken to that way.

Speaker B

I would not be walking around outside that way.

Speaker B

I wouldn't take action that way.

Speaker B

Like, my standards would be so different.

Speaker B

And I told myself, well, you better start acting like that right now or you're not going to get there.

Speaker B

And that was just such a wake up call for me.

Speaker B

And that's why I loved taking this training over again because it really just turned my brain on to what I've been settling on what I have been saying, like, oh, well, it's fine or oh, that's okay.

Speaker B

And so ask yourself, what are you saying is fine right now that is actually costing you?

Speaker B

It might be costing you confidence, it might be costing you relationships, it might be costing you, you know, money.

Speaker B

And to me, money is like the last thing to worry about.

Speaker B

I would want to relationships number one.

Speaker B

And then your confidence is huge.

Speaker B

You know, if you're, if Something is affecting your confidence.

Speaker B

It is worth raising your standard on.

Speaker B

You don't have to feel selfish.

Speaker B

You don't have to be like, oh, well, I can't justify this, or I can't justify that.

Speaker B

You feeling good about yourself is all the justification that is needed, and that has been really hard for me to learn this year, is things don't have to be considered selfish if it is taking care of you and raising that standard and raising your confidence and raising the thoughts that you think about yourself.

Speaker B

And this isn't about, oh, I've got a.

Speaker B

You know, my standard now is I work eight hours, and my new standard is going to be I work 12 hours to get that much closer to my goals.

Speaker B

Like, we're not like, oh, well, now I've got a hustle, or now I've got to, you know, burnout, or all the things.

Speaker B

This is about no longer settling for doing things halfway or sloppy execution or that I'll get to it later energy, I'll get to it tomorrow energy.

Speaker B

This is about showing up as the woman that, you know, you truly are.

Speaker B

This is about moving differently.

Speaker B

And this is about deciding, simplifying, and executing.

Speaker B

So once you decide on a standard, it's decided there's no more overthinking, there's no more.

Speaker A

Well, maybe.

Speaker B

Well, only on these days.

Speaker B

Well, no, you decide, you simplify.

Speaker B

How can you make it so easy for me?

Speaker B

With my nails, I make the appointment before I leave.

Speaker B

Every two weeks, I have an appointment on the books.

Speaker B

I put it in my calendar.

Speaker B

I see it coming up a couple days before, and I'm like, I not want to go get my nails done.

Speaker B

I have to sit there for an hour.

Speaker B

And it's on my.

Speaker B

If it's on my calendar, I honor it.

Speaker B

I get it done.

Speaker B

I simplified it.

Speaker B

Same with the lipstick.

Speaker B

I got a couple different shades of lips, of lipstick.

Speaker B

I got brands that I really enjoy, and I make it simple.

Speaker B

So I've got tubes of lipstick everywhere.

Speaker B

So if I don't put it on before I leave the house, I've got tubes at the office.

Speaker B

I've got some in my purse.

Speaker B

Like, I.

Speaker B

I took away all of my excuses.

Speaker B

And same with how people treat me.

Speaker B

I have removed myself from certain situations and I've also changed my financial situation to where I'm not completely dependent on, oh, well, I need this person to like me in order for me to pay my bills.

Speaker B

Or I need this person to like me in order for me to, you know, have the money for X, Y and Z.

Speaker B

Like, I created an environment and a situation where if you don't like me and you don't respect me kindly, there's a door right there and a door right there.

Speaker B

You can pick which one you want to walk out of.

Speaker B

And so decide where your standards are going to be.

Speaker B

Simplify and then execute.

Speaker B

No more overthinking, period.

Speaker B

You just execute on your new standards.

Speaker B

So your power move today, pick one standard that you are done lowering.

Speaker B

You're like, I refuse to settle here in this space anymore.

Speaker B

It can be whatever.

Speaker B

It does not have to be about looks.

Speaker B

It does not have to be about how people treat you.

Speaker B

It can be any kind of standard that works for you.

Speaker B

It might be about working out.

Speaker B

Or, hey, I'm going to make sure that I do three things on my action list today.

Speaker B

Or, you know, if you're looking for a job, I'm going to apply to two jobs every day.

Speaker B

I'm going to post on social media once a day, every day for the next four weeks.

Speaker B

Whatever your new standard is, decide on it, say it out loud, write it in your planner, write it on a post it note, whatever it is, and then let every decision today match that standard.

Speaker B

And that's.

Speaker B

That's it.

Speaker B

It's simple.

Speaker B

You decide.

Speaker B

You simplify, you execute.

Speaker B

You don't have to overthink it.

Speaker B

Just do it.

Speaker B

Even if you don't want to, even if you don't feel like it, you just do it.

Speaker B

Because that's your new standard.

Speaker B

Okay?

Speaker B
