So episode two means you are still here. You are still showing up and still opening the book. That is particularly challenging with children, I know because many days we can not show up to even brush our teeth, let alone open a book, turn on this podcast and commit to overhauling your whole life.
We are going on an intentional transformation, which is the action of a thorough shift in one's life lead with purpose and diligence to rise to one's best self. And today we begin part one, which is mindset. We must work the mind first, before we can work through our spaces, time, or even our body.
This is a spiritual journey, a war against society. So we need to be armed and ready to hit the hurdles in your transformation because some of these feelings have been instilled in us at a very early age. That's normal. It's going to happen. And I want you guys to learn to rise and conquer those hurdles.
As we open this episode, grab your copy of The Real Moms Playbook and keep it handy. If you don't have a copy, make sure you go to the show notes and order your copy today. You're going to want the physical book. I even recommend writing podcast notes within each of the chapters to keep it all together and I give plenty of room to do that. It's your little black book of secrets to success.
In The Real Mom's Tribe, which is my membership community, where we actively participate in the intentional transformation together, we often discuss topics like simplicity, task management, boundaries, and delegation. And beneath all of these topics, we, as women, need to keep in mind, what's known as the mental load. The mental load also known as the invisible labor, the whirlwind, chaos, the to-dos, whatever you choose to call it are the things constantly on your mind that require your attention, energy, and love, and are always pulling and weighing you down mentally.
This play within the Playbook, not only opens your inner dialogue to say goodbye to your perceived limitations, but it's also the chance for you to release some of that mental burden that you carry daily. We can only rise to our best selves when we have the head space to do so. There's a reason the intentional transformation goes in a specific order, and I want you to follow every single step, no matter how silly it seems.
I've always been someone who journals. I think I started my first diary when I was about seven years old. I've always felt like I'm undiagnosed ADHD and so putting my thoughts on paper was my way of focusing and honing in on the whirlwind in my head. Apparently I already had the mental load even at seven years old.
If we do not open our inner dialogue and release some of that mental load, it literally will erode away at our health, dramatically affect our sleep and relationships, and increase the likelihood of depression and anxiety. We will discuss more about this in the coming segments, like your time and your boundaries, but I want you to be intentional in how you're speaking to yourself and what you are holding in.
I want to take a real quick break so I can share one of our amazing women owned businesses that helped make the Real Moms Playbook possible. Be right back.

And we're back to episode two of the Real Moms Playbook. So today we're going to begin opening up that inner dialogue. We know it's important. We know we need to do it. And this is the very first step in the intentional transformation. So grab your copy of the Real Moms Playbook and turn to page 12. This is known as part one, which is your mindset.
And it's all starting with saying, dear me, I'm done. This chapter is only three pages, but one of the most impactful chapters in the whole book. Why? Because it is the beginning. It's your start of this whole amazing journey. Every single client I work with, whether it's in the tribe or one-on-one kick the clutter sessions or business coaching, I always make them write a letter to themselves.
I feel like it's really a defining moment to go all in, a declaration to the universe of who they are and the fact that they are no longer backing down and being controlled by the chaos.
The chaos will no longer be an excuse because we know our way forward. We know what we need to do to get where we want to go and we also know where it is we want to go. Let's be real, it's really hard to hit a target we cannot see, and in motherhood, in life, it often feels like that blind target. You are just currently going through the motions and hoping for the best. But what if we were to make those small tweaks in your life, be more intentional so you weren't flying blindly? What do you think that would do for your life?
Reminder the whole point of this Playbook and the podcast is to craft and cultivate your ideal journey, not mimic or idolize someone else's. There's a reason my face is not on the cover of this podcast, this whole thing ain't about me, I'm just the personal narrator and coach.
Inner dialogue is huge for personal growth, and you will begin this journey by pouring your heart and soul out on paper.
You can do this at the end of this chapter, in the book itself or at the back of the book where I list blank pages, whichever feels best for you. I'd like you to put it in the book though, because remember that's your black book of secrets to success and I want you guys to put everything in there so it's easily accessible, you can go to it any time.
If you feel like you don't have a way with words, utilize the templated letter, I've listed for you in the book on page 14. But honestly you don't need my words or thoughts, ask your heart and it'll guide you. I'm going to be giving you prompts later in this episode though so don't worry. It's going to kind of help define what to say, you're not going to just be looking at a blank page and saying, what do I need to do?
We are now women of action. And this is your declaration because we're going on the journey of a lifetime. And I need you to say you're no longer backing down, that you now truly are unstoppable.
This moment, this one here and now is one you will never live again, so pour your heart and feelings out. At the end, you will look back upon your transformation and see how far you've really come. This is the pursuit of alignment in your life.
I want to take our final break now to share a new mom owned business who is growing and going places in business and beyond. Be right back.

And we're back.
In the Playbook itself, I give you a template to be inspired by. And the whole point of this letter is to release your emotions of your past limits, so you can dive into this process fully. But when I was sitting down and planning this episode, I thought about the woman who may be hasn't ever written to herself, or hasn't written to herself in decades.
This woman needs to be guided and if you need to be guided, don't feel guilty. That's what I'm here to help you do, that's the whole point of these episodes is I'm guiding you.
So I'm going to spend a few minutes giving you some prompts to write down. Use these, to create an outline of the things you want to say, and then go full force in writing the letter to yourself.
You don't have to answer all of them, but you can, if you wish. I'll place the link in the show notes. So you'll be able to view these questions too. I'm a visual person, so I like to see the questions laid out. I'll place a link in the show notes for you to be able to view these questions too, because maybe like me, you're visual and you need to see these things.
So look at opening your inner dialogue in the show notes for the link.
So I'm going to list out seven different questions and write them as you go. I'm going to read them off a couple of times, so you can really write them down or you can take little keynotes.
So question one, what are you letting go of?
Question one, what are you letting go of?
Question two, what are you gaining?
Question two, what are you gaining?
Question three, what will be the yeses in your life?
Question three, what will be the yeses in your life?
Question four, what will be the noes in your life?
Question four, what will be the noes in your life?
Question five, what is your ultimate goal in life?
Question five, what is your ultimate goal in life?
Question six, what is the meaning of your life?
Question six, what is the meaning of your life?
And question seven, what is your declaration for this intentional transformation?
Question seven what is your declaration for this intentional transforming?
Questions five and six are going to be particularly hard, especially if you feel like you've been going through your life with no specific direction. I want you to really sit and think on these.
This letter doesn't have to be done in five to 10 minutes, really ask these deeper questions because that means your letter will be all that much more impactful and resonate with you. This is your reason. This is your reminder when it gets tough. And this is your reflection when the whole intentional transformation is said and done.
Earlier I mentioned The Real Moms Tribe. If you are struggling completing the intentional transformation independently, then you do not have to. The Real Moms Tribe is my community of like-minded women who have individual goals, values, and dreams, and I'm there to help guide them to conquer all of it through the intentional transformation. This journey of life shouldn't be done alone and it shouldn't be a lonely one. So make sure you visit the Real Moms Tribe in show notes and find out more about when it opens and how you can be a part of this movement.
Now it's time to open that inner dialogue with yourself. Grab a pen, open your book and write that final goodbye to your limitations and hello to your possibilities.
