Vesna:

Revival Podcast.

Vesna:

My name is Vena, and today

Vesna:

I'm gonna talk about why we

Vesna:

should do things together and

Vesna:

why surrounding yourself with

Vesna:

people who are already doing

Vesna:

what you want is the easiest

Vesna:

way for you to get there.

Vesna:

Surround yourself with people

Vesna:

doing what you want to do.

Vesna:

If you find yourself

Vesna:

struggling in your health

Vesna:

or in an area of your

Vesna:

life, then find out why

Vesna:

doing it on your own

Vesna:

could be the absolute

Vesna:

hardest way to do this

Vesna:

and a community may make

Vesna:

things so much easier.

Vesna:

Before I started my online

Vesna:

business, my online programs

Vesna:

and the groups, I used to

Vesna:

do everything one-on-one.

Vesna:

And to me that was the most

Vesna:

effective way to help somebody

Vesna:

to get the transformation

Vesna:

in the most efficient way.

Vesna:

And then.

Vesna:

It was suggested to me

Vesna:

to do a, you know, I end

Vesna:

up saying the same things

Vesna:

over and over again.

Vesna:

Why don't I record them,

Vesna:

put 'em into the course

Vesna:

and deliver it that way?

Vesna:

And I was like, Hmm, I don't

Vesna:

think that's going to work.

Vesna:

Right.

Vesna:

And I begrudgingly did it.

Vesna:

It took me some time before

Vesna:

I actually agreed to it, and

Vesna:

I thought, this isn't going

Vesna:

to work because I need to

Vesna:

be part of their process.

Vesna:

Right.

Vesna:

I need to be part of the

Vesna:

person's journey because.

Vesna:

I am there to help them.

Vesna:

So what I found was when I

Vesna:

released the first iteration

Vesna:

of Bye-bye burnout, and it

Vesna:

was only a very small group,

Vesna:

but the transformation

Vesna:

was pretty wild.

Vesna:

Okay.

Vesna:

I have to say.

Vesna:

And then when I ran it

Vesna:

again, I was really shocked.

Vesna:

So what I was shocked about

Vesna:

was that actually I didn't

Vesna:

need to be the picture.

Vesna:

Surprise, surprise.

Vesna:

obviously it's my method, but

Vesna:

what I found was the power

Vesna:

of a community, which I had

Vesna:

not known or seen before.

Vesna:

So the power of a community

Vesna:

to allow you to create the

Vesna:

changes with a lot more

Vesna:

ease, to keep up momentum and

Vesna:

motivation, and to overcome

Vesna:

a lot of your roadblocks that

Vesna:

are standing in your way.

Vesna:

So after I ran it as a group

Vesna:

program, it didn't make sense

Vesna:

for me to continue just doing

Vesna:

one-on-one because it actually

Vesna:

felt like I was not doing

Vesna:

the best service that way.

Vesna:

Right.

Vesna:

So doing the community work

Vesna:

and doing the group work

Vesna:

is so much more impactful

Vesna:

than doing just one-on-one.

Vesna:

And so if someone's working

Vesna:

with me one-on-one, and yes,

Vesna:

people do that obviously, but

Vesna:

there is so much to gain out

Vesna:

of a community, and I'm gonna

Vesna:

explain to you why that is.

Vesna:

really when we are looking

Vesna:

at changing anything

Vesna:

about our life, we're

Vesna:

changing, our health healing

Vesna:

should not be done alone.

Vesna:

We are already experiencing

Vesna:

so much loneliness.

Vesna:

So apparently in Australia,

Vesna:

a quarter of Australians

Vesna:

have reported feeling lonely

Vesna:

and researchers have found

Vesna:

that there are different

Vesna:

types of loneliness.

Vesna:

There are Feeling,

Vesna:

lonely in intimate areas.

Vesna:

So lacking a romantic partner.

Vesna:

social loneliness and not

Vesna:

having enough friendships.

Vesna:

But then there's also

Vesna:

community loneliness, which

Vesna:

is yearning for a community

Vesna:

of like-minded people.

Vesna:

And that is what you

Vesna:

get in a group, right?

Vesna:

So I've seen people in

Vesna:

the group because a lot

Vesna:

of the time as people are

Vesna:

going through something.

Vesna:

Some of the symptoms

Vesna:

concern them, how long it's

Vesna:

taking them to implement

Vesna:

something concerns them.

Vesna:

Like there is just little

Vesna:

things along the way that that

Vesna:

sabotage people's progress.

Vesna:

And so in the group, hearing

Vesna:

other people's journey

Vesna:

makes you feel like, wow,

Vesna:

that's totally normal.

Vesna:

Oh, yes, I'm struggling

Vesna:

with that too.

Vesna:

Okay.

Vesna:

Maybe that's just part

Vesna:

of the process, right.

Vesna:

The community normalises

Vesna:

your experience, and in my

Vesna:

experience that when you

Vesna:

normalize your experience,

Vesna:

it is much easier to work

Vesna:

through that process.

Vesna:

Okay?

Vesna:

When we feel like something's

Vesna:

wrong or is big or bad or

Vesna:

ugly, whatever it is, it

Vesna:

is harder to work through.

Vesna:

Okay?

Vesna:

So the community keeps

Vesna:

you motivated, keeps

Vesna:

you moving through your

Vesna:

roadblocks, helps you to

Vesna:

see your roadblocks because.

Vesna:

Sometimes it's just easier to

Vesna:

see it when somebody else is

Vesna:

going through a problem and

Vesna:

staying stuck and you're like,

Vesna:

oh, I can totally see what

Vesna:

their problem is, and then

Vesna:

you can see it in yourself.

Vesna:

You know, they say that we are

Vesna:

the average of the five people

Vesna:

that we spend our time with.

Vesna:

And so when I talk to women

Vesna:

in the community, like you are

Vesna:

in a community of like-minded

Vesna:

women who are implementing and

Vesna:

overcoming the same challenges

Vesna:

together at the same time.

Vesna:

So say your whole family

Vesna:

goes on to a health program

Vesna:

with you, it makes it so

Vesna:

much easier to stick to it.

Vesna:

Right?

Vesna:

And so having that

Vesna:

community is having your.

Vesna:

Community doing the same

Vesna:

process that you are doing,

Vesna:

so it creates a lot more ease.

Vesna:

When we look at healing

Vesna:

together, there was many

Vesna:

years ago, back in the

Vesna:

times of ancient Greece, if

Vesna:

people were feeling sick or

Vesna:

unsatisfied with their life

Vesna:

or wanted to turn a corner

Vesna:

in their life, they would go

Vesna:

to visit one of the hundreds

Vesna:

of healing centers around

Vesna:

Greece and the Mediterranean.

Vesna:

going to these healing centers

Vesna:

wasn't just about showing up,

Vesna:

getting your herbs, getting

Vesna:

your medicines, and leaving.

Vesna:

It was a whole process.

Vesna:

It was a literally a journey.

Vesna:

So you would have to

Vesna:

spend a few days to

Vesna:

walk to the Healing

Vesna:

Center on your journey.

Vesna:

You would see people who were

Vesna:

leaving and they would share

Vesna:

their stories about what

Vesna:

they achieved there, right?

Vesna:

And sharing those stories.

Vesna:

The people would feel

Vesna:

uplifted walking towards

Vesna:

a healing, center, right?

Vesna:

They would feel, excited.

Vesna:

They would feel inspired.

Vesna:

They're almost

Vesna:

halfway there, right?

Vesna:

In the way that they feel.

Vesna:

So the sharing of the

Vesna:

stories was really important.

Vesna:

And then once they got to

Vesna:

the temple, there was a whole

Vesna:

process that they had to do.

Vesna:

They had to wait outside

Vesna:

the temple to be, fasting

Vesna:

and cleansed because as

Vesna:

they entered, they needed

Vesna:

to leave all their worldly

Vesna:

distractions behind, right?

Vesna:

They needed to

Vesna:

enter this temple.

Vesna:

Or this healing center

Vesna:

with a lot of mental

Vesna:

clarity and let go of a

Vesna:

lot of the worldly things.

Vesna:

And within the temple,

Vesna:

they would get herbal

Vesna:

medicines, they would have

Vesna:

their dreams interpreted,

Vesna:

they would spend a lot

Vesna:

of time in the gardens in

Vesna:

contemplation to understand.

Vesna:

Why they're at, where

Vesna:

they're at, why they're

Vesna:

unhappy with their life

Vesna:

or why they're sick.

Vesna:

Right?

Vesna:

And it was a really powerful

Vesna:

part of the journey.

Vesna:

So in some ways there was

Vesna:

a lot of that work that was

Vesna:

done together, and then there

Vesna:

was time to pull away and do

Vesna:

the self-reflection and the

Vesna:

contemplation in order to

Vesna:

uncover the hidden meaning

Vesna:

why we get sick or why we're

Vesna:

unhappy with our lives.

Vesna:

And then once they left the

Vesna:

temple, they shared their

Vesna:

stories with everybody so

Vesna:

they shared of what they

Vesna:

overcome and what insights

Vesna:

they'd have and what

Vesna:

clarity came to them about.

Vesna:

Where they're at in that

Vesna:

point in their life.

Vesna:

Okay?

Vesna:

And so it just reinforces

Vesna:

that this has been around

Vesna:

for a very long time.

Vesna:

We share stories, we do

Vesna:

things better together than

Vesna:

what we ever did alone.

Vesna:

And if you are struggling

Vesna:

with something right now

Vesna:

that I really would urge you

Vesna:

to look at, well, how is a

Vesna:

community going to serve you?

Vesna:

How can you find your people?

Vesna:

How can you immerse yourself

Vesna:

with your people who have

Vesna:

got the same intention, who

Vesna:

want the same outcomes, and

Vesna:

who are working towards it?

Vesna:

And.

Vesna:

A hundred percent they're

Vesna:

gonna hit their own or meet

Vesna:

their own challenges and,

Vesna:

and saboteurs and how are

Vesna:

they overcoming it, right?

Vesna:

And really normalizing

Vesna:

that process.

Vesna:

I recently joined a mastermind

Vesna:

where, it's gonna require

Vesna:

a lot of travel and it's

Vesna:

very expensive, and I don't

Vesna:

have any one-on-one with

Vesna:

the leader of the who is.

Vesna:

it's his mastermind, right?

Vesna:

And, I've signed up for

Vesna:

the community, right?

Vesna:

'cause the community

Vesna:

is so powerful.

Vesna:

There's people going in

Vesna:

directions that I wanna go in.

Vesna:

There's people doing things

Vesna:

that I want to be doing.

Vesna:

I wanna be around

Vesna:

those people.

Vesna:

I wanna know how they think.

Vesna:

I wanna know what

Vesna:

they're doing.

Vesna:

I wanna hear what they share

Vesna:

their strategies, right?

Vesna:

And so sometimes we look for,

Vesna:

you know, the right person to

Vesna:

work with or whatever it is.

Vesna:

And sometimes it

Vesna:

really comes down to.

Vesna:

How much can a community

Vesna:

influence you

Vesna:

in the direction

Vesna:

that you want to go?

Vesna:

So if this is you,

Vesna:

leave a comment below.

Vesna:

I'd love to know, have

Vesna:

you seen the power of a

Vesna:

community to help you to take

Vesna:

action and do things that

Vesna:

you wouldn't normally do?

Vesna:

Right?

Vesna:

what might help you right

Vesna:

now that in an area that

Vesna:

you're stuck in, how may

Vesna:

a community help you to

Vesna:

accelerate your progress?

Vesna:

Let me know in the

Vesna:

comments below.
