Welcome back to another episode of HelloFax as I continue talking about the myriad of benefits of detoxing, and one of those is improved hydration, because detox programs always encourage you to improve your water intake. And this then promotes hydration and improve cellular function. And in fact, during a detox, it's recommended that you drink two thirds of your body weight in water, versus normally you would drink 50% of your body weight in water. And so what I mean by that is if you weigh 150 pounds regularly, you would drink 75 ounces of water in a day, because half of 150 is 75 pounds. And that translates to 75 ounces of water as your average level of hydration that you want to take in. However, during a detox because we want to be flushing those toxins out of the body, we increase it to two thirds of your body weight. So that now becomes 100 pounds, and therefore 100 ounces. And so tune into those if you'd like to learn more about all the benefits of hydration, because there are many. And another benefit of detoxing is it really alleviates headaches. So if you're someone that gets headaches regularly, and that used to be me, and now I don't get them very often at all. And when I do, the first thing I do is have I hydrated enough. Previously, it was because of the toxins in my body that was triggering headaches all the time. Because those toxins create inflammation. And when we get those toxins out, we reduce that inflammation. And that can alleviate headaches, and migraines as can the increased hydration that is recommended during a detox and therefore you have more focus on that hydration than you normally do. And when you get enough hydration, your head is happier, your head is largely made up of water and fat. And when it doesn't get enough water, it kind of starts to dry up and tighten up and that triggers a headache. So those are two more fabulous benefits of detoxing.
