Hey, hey, this is Shaun with the GoTennis! Podcast powered by Signature Tennis.
Speaker:Today's tennis tip comes from Coach Nathan Singleton.
Speaker:Have a listen and let us know what you think.
Speaker:Welcome back everyone, this is Nathan from First Serve University, your tactical specialist
Speaker:giving you advice on how to win more matches.
Speaker:Today, let's talk about this scenario.
Speaker:You're playing a match and you see that your opponent is trying to bait you to hit a certain
Speaker:serve to them.
Speaker:As a returner, they're hoping that you're served wide to their forehand or down the
Speaker:tee to their backhand if you're on the do side or the opposite on the ad side.
Speaker:They're trying to see if they can get you to take the bait.
Speaker:When you see this scenario, one of the best serves that you can hit is actually the body
Speaker:serve.
Speaker:The body serve is especially on the first serve.
Speaker:It's going to tear through the middle of the box and handcuff your opponent, forcing
Speaker:them most of the time to give you a short, weak reply and your partner at net should be
Speaker:able to put away that ball or put them on the defense immediately.
Speaker:So the next time you see this, don't fall for the trap, hit that big body serve and see
Speaker:how easy your service game will go.
Speaker:This is Nathan from First serve University giving you tactical advice on how to win more
Speaker:matches.
