Welcome back everyone, this is Nathan from First Serve University, your tactical specialist

giving you advice on how to win more matches.

Today, let's talk about this scenario.

You're playing a match and you see that your opponent is trying to bait you to hit a certain

serve to them.

As a returner, they're hoping that you're served wide to their forehand or down the

tee to their backhand if you're on the do side or the opposite on the ad side.

They're trying to see if they can get you to take the bait.

When you see this scenario, one of the best serves that you can hit is actually the body

serve.

The body serve is especially on the first serve.

It's going to tear through the middle of the box and handcuff your opponent, forcing

them most of the time to give you a short, weak reply and your partner at net should be

able to put away that ball or put them on the defense immediately.

So the next time you see this, don't fall for the trap, hit that big body serve and see

how easy your service game will go.
