Speaker A

Foreign.

Speaker B

It'S the Foster to Forever podcast.

Speaker B

Happy stories of non traditional families born through Foster to adopt.

Speaker B

I'm your host, Rachel Fulgenetti.

Speaker A

Hey everybody, it's Rachel.

Speaker A

I just wanted to pop on for a minute and say hello because I know it's been a second since I've had episodes up.

Speaker A

First of all, I wanted to say if you are new here, welcome.

Speaker A

I'm so glad you're here.

Speaker A

And there's gonna be new episodes soon, but in the meantime, you can go back to season one and you can listen through season one and all of season two.

Speaker A

Season one, the first and second episodes, I kind of go into my story.

Speaker A

First episode is me by myself.

Speaker A

Second episode is me with my husband and we tell our story and basically like how I got to be doing this podc.

Speaker A

I also wanted to say if you are not new here, if you've been listening along since the beginning or if you jumped in at some point, I also want to thank you so much.

Speaker A

I really, really appreciate every single, like I get every single review.

Speaker A

I get the five star thing, all of that stuff, you know, it seems really trivial and I hate to even ask, but if you've been listening for a while and you haven't done that yet, it really, really helps.

Speaker A

The algorithm and all that kind of nonse that people can listen to this, people can find this information.

Speaker A

I think there's so much experience, strength and hope within these episodes and my wish is that anyone who is seeking this information or needs support or help or is curious would be able to find it.

Speaker A

So every review, every five star rating, every, like, every joining my Instagram following, it all helps.

Speaker A

So thank you so much.

Speaker A

I also wanted to make a special announcement.

Speaker A

I'm thrilled to announce that I am now a columnist for a publication called Fostering Families Today.

Speaker A

It's a print and online publication and it's dedicated to all things foster care.

Speaker A

So if you are in the process, if you're curious, if you already did foster care and you're not doing it anymore, but you still have a passion for it, I really recommend you subscribe to this publication.

Speaker A

I think it's only about $20 a year for the subscription.

Speaker A

It comes out bimonthly and my first issue will be coming out online on July 1st.

Speaker A

I think the print edition may already have hit the stands, but online it'll be coming out July 1st.

Speaker A

So next Tuesday.

Speaker A

And I will certainly post a link to my article.

Speaker A

My family is actually on the COVID as well, which is really awesome.

Speaker A

A beautiful shot of the four of from my son's adoption day.

Speaker A

And the article itself is about how CrossFit helped me to foster.

Speaker A

To adopt, help me through that process of fostering to adopt.

Speaker A

There's something in CrossFit called mental toughness.

Speaker A

I had to develop that and I started doing CrossFit while I was going through the process early on in the process of fostering and it became like this mirror for my life and I could really see how I dealt with challenges.

Speaker A

As an old yoga teacher used to say, how you do anything is how you do everything.

Speaker A

And that became really apparent to me and it really helped me through.

Speaker A

So anyway, I'm thrilled.

Speaker A

I had this idea to write this piece for years and it's finally out there in the world.

Speaker A

So check it out.

Speaker A

You can follow me on Instagram, I'll post it there.

Speaker A

I am also going to posted on Facebook, but I would recommend if you're interested in fostering or if you are fostering, sign up for the magazine.

Speaker A

All right guys, I think that's it for right now.

Speaker A

Stay tuned.

Speaker A

We are working on season three.

Speaker A

We meaning I am working on season three and it is summer and there's like kids galore, kids in and kids out and kids going to camp and kids coming home and kids all the time.

Speaker A
