Welcome to the What to Read next podcast. The podcast of topples, your TBR. We have a fun book recommendation for all romantic fans. This is the enemies to lovers romantasy fan edition. So we got actually. For former Draimione fan fiction that we have talked about in our previous episode, we got a couple of books that are just like juicy enemies to love sexual tension that you can stop drinking about, and there's also like the world building and the romantic aspect. So let's get to the recommendations because this is what we're here for. And I hope that I share with you some hidden gems so you haven't heard of, so that way you can expand your TBR world mood reading. So let's get to your recommendations. The first one I wanna talk about is while Wild Is The Witch by Rachel Griffin, this is for you. If you want contemporary fantasy vibe, lush atmosphere. We follow Iris, a secret witch who vents for restrictions in writing curses, you know, and chance to cast. Until one day one of these curses ally takes on a life its own. Now she's fors up, she's forced up the team up with Pi, her grumpy witch heating coworker to retrieve it before it causes serious damage. Expect force proximity, a wilderness journey, and room as sim as we need the surface. Quite intimate and totally spell landing. And that as well is a witch by Rachel Griffin. So this is like witchy vibe, romantic, see? So it's a little bit more fun to do. You're gonna go to another witchy romantic. See, this is the Witch Collector by Carissa Weeks. Okay, so this is a classic romantic see with vengeance, prophecy, and sexual tension that burns slow and steady. Rena blood good is one mission to kill the witch collector who took her sister, the witch collector Alexis. Dibel, of course, dark forces run to their world and force them to work together. This book of show you if you want, high stakes fantasy with powerful, magic rich building, rich world building and enemies, celebr rich performance. That's all about learning to trust the person you've sworn to hate. So we got the witch collector where he is the witch. He's a witch collector. So Alexis is the Met, so that's the witch collector like Carissa Weeks. The next book in this series is Illusions of Stars for Sarah Marie Page. This one's driven with cord intrigue, espionage, and deception. We meet Isabel, a royal physician who is secretly infiltrating an enemy court. Her goal retrieve a deadly weapon. Her method, seduce dilution wielding where Alec Lagar sent. But of course, feelings get involved in complicating everything. If you love romantic detention, build around secrets, lies, and shifting loyalties. This book is for you. It's Enemies Who, lovers with the dose of political drama and dangerous chemistry. You know me, I love my political drama. And romantic, and especially paranormal romance. That's actually my favorite part of it. The power dynamics and like, how do they actually go about it? Especially the underdog trying to accomplish a ba, a deadly especially an underdog complaint. Especially an underdog complaint complaining a deadly mission. So God bless Elian. For star, the book is Illusion of Stars by Sarah Marie Page all right. The next one is A Cursed Son by Day Leitao. I don't know how to say their name, but the name will be listed in the show notes. Let's talk about fated mated meet Royal Deception. Astro is a royal decoy trained to take a place of a princess in the arranged church where her carriage ambition is. Carriage is ambushed by disgrace fa prince. So that meant she's been dreaming about things get complicated fast. This story, events, blends. This story blends prophecy, magical destiny and romance and rights aligned between animosity and undeniable attention attraction. If you love past paced PO to plan with strong romance detentions, grab this line. So a A Cursed Son by Day Leitao. So I love this idea of a royal decoy and this to put two. Take place of a princess in arranged marriage. Love this storyline. And I'm excited to actually read this book 'cause it actually has the elements that I love, which actually has a fae that she's actually pining for and power dynamics and a story that she's the underdog. So this is awesome. Okay, the final book I actually read the original fan fiction, which is a The Mortifying Ordeal fo Being Love Draco Malfoy that was a mouthful. So, this is actually her debut as a polished author and The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley so the, this title is Delivers in the Front. So if you're looking for that fan fiction into this book, it's a very different story. It is set in a different world. It is original fan fiction. There are some elements from the section Tension, the banter that we love from that, from the Fanfic, but it's a original story altogether. So it's definitely, it's shocking. It has its own world. So just in for everything comes to that. So this book follows Assassin, ostrich. Moreau a false ha with a mysterious sickness and ends up with the carrot healer. Arian. But the thing is that she's not supposed to kill him because he's an assassin and he has, he's a specific order of person that she's not supposed to help him. So he actually has to negotiate RN to actually help him and to actually fix him. She is a healer. She's the best of the best, and so he needs her more than she needs him, which I have to love. This dynamic, the dynamics tense, filled with reluctant and trust and growing desire as they try to uncover the true behind illness. This one's for friends, for grumpy sunshine, dynamics for proximity, slow burn, longing in the world where everything's life or death. It is so good. It comes out this summer. It is definitely added to your TVR. There's another Grandma Fanfiction, rose and Chains, which is based on the auction by Julie Soto. They both come out the same day and July, I think it's like July 7th. So if you have a library card, you should definitely request that for your library if you like this kind of books. If not just. Pre-order. And so just enjoy it. So I hope you enjoyed this like mini bite-sized episode. Some enemies, lovers fantasy. Were meant to see books to read. I hope you enjoyed this episode.
