Foreign.

Welcome to Love Notes from Rhonda.

Speaker A

And today I want to share a little poem that just gives me a giggle every time I read it.

Speaker A

And it's from Rumi, one of my all time favorites.

Speaker A

And it's one that is, I don't think, very well known.

Speaker A

It's called the Relationship Booster.

Speaker A

And here it is.

Speaker A

Here is a relationship booster that is guaranteed to work every time your spouse or lover says something stupid, make your eyes light up as if you just heard something brilliant.

Speaker A

Here is a relationship booster that is guaranteed to work every time your spouse or lover says something stupid, make your eyes light up as if you just heard something brilliant.

Speaker A

Now that is seeing innocence.

Speaker A

That is practicing seeing the fearlessness, living and supporting someone on their wheel of freedom.

Speaker A

So what if you gave this gift to anyone you met, to everyone you meet, and most of all to you?

Speaker A

What if no matter what you said or thought that in the past, you thought was a mistake or stupid, you said, wow, that was a piece of my journey.

Speaker A

Wow, that was amazing that I did that in order for me to awaken.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

Brilliant.

Speaker A

Amazing.

Speaker A

A miracle.

Speaker A

Here is a relationship booster that is guaranteed to work every time your spouse or lover says something stupid, make your eyes light up as if you just heard something brilliant.

Speaker A

I want you to imagine that's you in the mirror.

Speaker A

I want you to look at yourself in the mirror.

Speaker A

I do this every day by the way I look in the mirror every day when I'm.

Speaker A

Whether I'm putting my makeup on or not putting my makeup on, washing my face or whatever.

Speaker A

I always look at myself eyeball to eyeball and tell myself how beautiful I am and how courageous I am and how willing I am.

Speaker A

I claim for myself that beauty is who I am.

Speaker A

That light is what I'm made of.

Speaker A

What I know is true for me is also true for you.

Speaker A

What if every time you thought you said something stupid, dumb, crazy, instead you looked at yourself with amazement and said, that is me being me.

Speaker A

That is me being my brilliant self.

Speaker A

Because I will tell you, I say I talk about myself and I say I am the dumbest smart person I know.

Speaker A

I say the dumbest things sometime and I know that I have a level of intelligence.

Speaker A

I don't think I'm the smartest person in the room by any means.

Speaker A

I think I'm good and smart at the things I'm good at, smart at.

Speaker A

But I am not good and smart at a lot of things.

Speaker A

And I am the dumbest smart person I know.

Speaker A

And so I will ask.

Speaker A

And everybody who knows me knows this about me.

Speaker A

Any ask Marta, she'll tell you, I will say the dumbest things.

Speaker A

But you know what?

Speaker A

When I say the dumbest things now, I'm doing what I'm doing right now with you.

Speaker A

I laugh because I see my innocence.

Speaker A

I know I'm not purposely being dumb or I'm not dumb because I'm dumb.

Speaker A

I'm dumb because I'm ignorant, because I don't know what the answer is.

Speaker A

And I don't never been exposed to that.

Speaker A

And I don't know Marta.

Speaker A

And I always laugh because my mother died when I was 14.

Speaker A

I don't know some basic things that many people know that had a mother growing up.

Speaker A

I don't know some basic, simple, like medical things or just I had nobody to ask these questions to.

Speaker A

So many times Marta will be the person I turn to and be like, okay, could you tell me what this is about?

Speaker A

So, yeah, I can be dumb.

Speaker A

And I will look at myself in the mirror and say, wow, that was brilliant.

Speaker A

Seeing my innocence.

Speaker A

Seeing my innocence changes everything.

Speaker A

I invite you to practice seeing your innocence today and everyone that you meet.

Speaker A

Until next time, be fearless.

Speaker A

I love you, Sam.
