Your website is elements, the number for success.
Speaker 1 00:01:19 Com.au. Kylie, it's great to have you.
Speaker 2 00:01:22 Thanks so much for having me, Josh. love connecting with my us friends.
Speaker 1 00:01:26 Yes. All right. Well, from from down under. Please do explain what it is that you do. what is, elements for success and what are the elements for success?
Speaker 2 00:01:38 Well, Earl Nightingale had this phenomenal quote that said, success is the progressive, ongoing realization of a worthy goal or ideal. And I think that's the perfect definition of success because it's so personal. What success looks like for you might look different for me, and I think people get stuck in an image of what it should be versus what it could be based on your own story. And I think there's lots of different elements that make that up. And my model of infinite leadership looks at eight pillars that we look at in terms of defining how to move through that, to create the success that you want in your life. And I just think that what we have to forget is it's not a one size fits all model, and we can read all of this information.
Speaker 2 00:02:17 There's so much knowledge and information out there, but you have to bespoke it to what you need in your own personal journey. And my goal in life is to empower people and inspire them, to help them get to the next level in their own success journey, whether that be personally or professionally.
Speaker 1 00:02:34 Yeah, yeah. Well, what what, you know, around that, like, what are some of those common things that, that you observe, you know, in the life of the mind, I should say, of the leaders that you get to work with currently.
Speaker 2 00:02:49 So one of the things that people are struggling with, and I think this is I think that was happening before Covid, but I noticed it more. Everyone was in hustle mode during Covid, right? People were in survival mode and just trying to grasp at straws, but we've kind of gone. We call the post-Covid world the new normal or whatever it is, but people have kind of defaulted back into an unconscious existing rather than a conscious living kind of model.
Speaker 2 00:03:13 So we're just going through the motions we're doing. We're going with, you know, wake up, go to work, rinse, repeat, all these kind of things. And so we forget that a lot of our things are about conscious choices that we make. Whether you're a leadership of a large organization or a partner having a conversation at home, we just sort of going through the motions. And again, we've got to be more mindful of what that looks like. And some of that starts like the first pillar in infinite is identity. Who am I right now and where do I want to be in this next journey? And what are the attributes that that requires for me to move through that? And is that in alignment with who I want to be? The other one at the at the end of infinite is for ecosystem. Who are the people around you in your journey around? Are they the right people? In my ecosystem right now that are going to get me on that success journey. Because what you know, what got you here, where I got you there.
Speaker 2 00:04:03 And that's true of people as well. We can have amazing people in our lives, but some of them are energy trainers and some of them are energy givers, and some of them are really supportive. Tasha Urich talks about this concept of the loving critic people that want what's best for you, but are also going to have the conversations with you. You know they're not going to be the unloving critic, the people that tear you down all the time. And they're not going to be the uncritical lover, the person who will say, oh my gosh, Josh, you're so amazing. And you're like completely stuffed up to them and they're like, oh, it doesn't make you completely amazing. You know, the loving critic is going to pull you out, have those loving, supportive conversations and support you on that journey to get to the next level. And I think sometimes we forget that people support us to the level of their own comfort versus what we need to go to. So I think that's tricky sometimes.
Speaker 1 00:04:49 Tell me more about that. What was what did that last little bit mean there? I'm let's let's unpack that as they say okay.
Speaker 2 00:04:57 So, Josh, you've got this new idea coming out and you've got this new vision for this new concept you want to create, but, you know, you operate in your particular suburb. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and I've got, you know, a you're you're like, oh, okay, that's so great, Kylie. We both live in Brisbane and I've got a business. You've got a business. I'm so supportive of you. And then I come to you and go, Josh, you know what? I want to go global. I believe what I've got is I can take this to the next level. And everyone starts to go and my, you know, you go, are you sure? Are you sure? Like, why don't you just focus on Brisbane or why don't you focus on this? Because for them, that's the level of their comfort that they're happy with.
Speaker 2 00:05:36 Oh, God. and and, you know, I worked in a government job for a long time before I went into the entrepreneurial journey. And I did it in Covid as a single mum of three kids. And guess what? People were scared. Scared for me, but scared in terms of they didn't know that well because they'd never had the courage to choose that. So they were supportive of, oh, look, I love you, Kylie, and I care for you, but, I'm not sure. So they support you to the level of their comfort versus maybe what you need. And so it's about making sure that you're surrounding yourself with people that are going to be mindful of where you're going and give you the right sort of steer, help you steer in the right direction. But I'm not going to be scared by the fact that you want to dream big. And if you're an entrepreneur, usually that's how you think, and that can be scary for people.
Speaker 1 00:06:23 Yeah. so Kylie, how do you obviously, you know, again, this is the difference between asking a friend for their input or advice and working with someone that, you know, look, that they're professional coach and also to like, you know, someone that has had the history and experience of working with a lot of 7 or 8 figure business leaders, for example.
Speaker 1 00:06:47 Yes, it is just going to have context that other people don't. And and I would add, likely a pretty unique, context. you know, I think about, like, when we think about, like where wisdom comes from, most of it comes from mistakes and experiences and, you know, living a life well-lived. Right. And but that is so valuable. if someone is willing to sit at the feet of that person that's already walked out, it's like, you know, having a conversation, like, if you want to hike Everest, well, you're probably going to want to learn from some other Everest hikers, I would imagine, or at least a professional Sherpa who has worked with all of the hikers. Right?
Speaker 2 00:07:29 Yeah. And I think that's so true. And when I went into my business journey, I knew coaching was important. Like, you know, you have to model the what you walk your talk. Right? So as a coach, I needed a coach. But within three months I was actually out earning her.
Speaker 2 00:07:43 And so one of the things that you know, is really, really important is you have to look at where do you want to go. So if you want to be seven, eight figures, look for somebody who's doing that and then find that person along the way. Because sometimes we can play small because you're looking around. Okay, I'm in my first foray into the world, and I'm just going to get to the person that's here. But like I said, I'm pretty enthusiastic and passionate about my work. Within a few months, I'm having this coaching conversation. She's like, oh, you know, I just want to let you know that I at the same revenue as you this month. And I'm like, great, that's so wonderful. Not sure how that's helping me, but okay. and so, you know, you've got to have and you've got to aspire big, right. There's a in Maori in New Zealand, the First Nations people are mighty people and they have proverb, they call it turkeys.
Speaker 2 00:08:28 And they talk about, you know, aim for the stars. And if you miss, your at least hit a lofty mountain. And I think we underestimate what we can do sometimes within a year. But we are sorry. We overestimate what we can do in a year, but we underestimate what we can do in a little bit more period of time. And I think we play small. Marianne Williamson says you're playing small does not serve the world. So what happens if you aspire to hit that? You know those stars? If you hit the top of the mountain, you're still going to be further than if you played small in the world and go, I'm just going to get to the first, you know, the first pillar of that, you know, the mountain.
Speaker 1 00:09:01 Yeah. so, Kylie, what does it look like when you work with your clients? Like, how do you work together? Like, where do you start? What's the journey typically like? So that was a lot of big questions.
Speaker 1 00:09:15 tell me about the history of the world while you're at it.
Speaker 2 00:09:17 Yeah. Oh, look, in 16 minutes, I think one of the things that I, I think it's a very bespoke journey, and I think going back to, that infinite is that there's lots of different things that make that in. And sometimes we've got to understand where people were. We've also got to understand where people think they want to go, and then we've got to help them remove those barriers for themselves. You know, I was asked recently, you know, what's your biggest challenge in business? And I'm like myself, you know, I'm my biggest my own biggest challenge, my head set. And so the coaching is the same thing. Most people the biggest challenge that they've got is their own thinking in terms of what they think is true or not true. And you know whether you think you can or you can't, you usually. Right. So how do we, you know, remove those barriers and those limitations that we place on ourselves to get to where we want to go and help people craft that journey up that thinks that, you know, many of us think we have to do it ourselves.
Speaker 2 00:10:10 And even though we logically know that we don't and we can't, we still have a bit of a narrative in there. So helping people give people, giving people permission to give themselves permission to be able to pivot and navigate and, you know, work in their zone of genius with versus work in their zone of frustration. that's how we get that leverage. And then it's a snowball effect from there.
Speaker 1 00:10:32 Yeah. your website is elements for success. Com.au and I know that you also share good content and around social media like, what are you what are you kind of most proud of or. I don't know if there's any key content or, or resources or anything that you've made available that, that you think is, is is helpful for someone that might be listening to us, even maybe before they directly engage with you.
Speaker 2 00:11:00 Yeah. So I've got a short guide about what it means to be an infinite leader. And the way that I think of infinite leadership is it's an ongoing evolution. And, you know, when I work with people, people are tired of going, oh, something else to learn or something else to do or something to do that.
Speaker 2 00:11:15 But the minute we recognize that it's an ongoing evolution of journey, we actually remove some of the resentment because I'm just on my on my evolution. And then like infinite is ongoing. So when we recognize that there's infinite learning, we also recognize that there's infinite possibilities and infinite opportunities. I've actually got my Infinite Leadership book coming out in December this year. I've got some short guides that you can find on my website. I've also got links to all the podcasts that I've been on, where I share different tidbits around what it means to be an infinite leader. So there's lots of different things that people can access prior to, you know, having a chat with me around what that would look like to see if it's a good fit for them. But I encourage people to sit there and remind themselves that, you know, we need a really strong, reflective practice. We need to keep moving that needle forward. And equally, it's okay to accept where you are now. Like, I'm really good as I am, but that doesn't mean I should stop and keep trying to move forward.
Speaker 2 00:12:07 And having a really good reflective practice and a model around how to do that. Because our default principle is we do that from a negativity, concept of I'm not enough, so I need to do more, but we need to look at what's working really well and how can I do more, because that will give me the growth and the exponential to exponentially in terms of where we want to go in the future.
Speaker 1 00:12:31 Yeah. okay. So elements for success. Com.au you mentioned the guy. and if someone wants to reach out and connect with you, what would you recommend they do.
Speaker 2 00:12:42 Yep. So LinkedIn Kylie Kyle Lee thanks, mum. Liotta any of the social media elements for success on Instagram, Facebook. But just hit me up on my website. Elements for success commu put a notification, we can jump on a call and we can see I. Once I have different packages, it's about bespoke it to your needs in your point in time. And and I have clients that I've moved through the journey that where they were when they first met me to where they are now, they require different things.
Speaker 2 00:13:12 So we just bespoke it along the way in terms of meeting your needs to get you to the next growth. And, you know, coaching is hard. It's not for the faint hearted people that think this is an easy journey. it's not but it's definitely worth it. And you're going to be in the top, you know, 10% of people, because most people are too confronted by doing the hard work in this particular space. So you're going to put you in an elite level of itself if you get the right coach to support you on the right journey. So that's one of the biggest things. And I know that from experience, because that was my experience. Also.
Speaker 1 00:13:43 Kylie Liotta, again, you are the founder of elements for success. The website elements for Success. Dot com. Oh Kylie, thank you so much for the conversation. Thank you for getting up so early with me as well.
