Welcome back to another edition of health hack as I continue talking about the benefits of detoxing, and one surprising benefit that many of my female clients enjoy, is the fact that detoxing helps to rebalance their hormones. So their PMS symptoms are alleviated or gone there menopausal symptoms, the night sweats, the hot flashes are eliminated or gone. And you might wonder how does detoxing help rebalance my hormones? Well, your liver is also responsible for eliminating excess estrogen from the body. And so when we eliminate that excess estrogen, it can bring our hormones back into balance. And as a result, those symptoms which are the body's way of talking to us and telling us there's an imbalance, those symptoms go away. And in today's world, it's very common for women to have too much estrogen in their system and not enough progesterone relatively speaking, in comparison to the estrogen, because when we're running in fight or flight, and the body's pumping out cortisol all the time, there's something called the progesterone steel that happens in the body is producing cortisol at the expense of progesterone. And as a result, our progesterone levels can be low relative to our estrogen levels. And at that point, we have symptoms. And when our liver gets bogged down, and it can't do its job, well, its main focus is just cleansing the blood every six minutes and other things don't get detoxed as they should be, and it can't excrete the excess estrogen to the same capability as when it's functioning properly. And so that's why detoxing is a kickstart for the liver, but it's a complete reset for your whole body.
