Michelle Hartzman:

Welcome back podcast fam. Today's going to be used so juicy. I cannot wait. We're diving right into attraction, marketing and social media. All. This is one of my favorite things to talk about and more than ever, something that I'm hearing from clients of mine and women in my DMS is Michelle. I just want to be more visible. I want to get in front of more people. I want dream clients reaching out to me more often. Like something's gotta give. And, you know, I'm here to help you, but you also know that we're going to do the real deal around this. We're going to get real uncomfortable. The nitty gritty, the truth behind attraction marketing and social media, and really what you need to know to be successful and get in front of more people. So first things, first, something you need to know right here. And right now, if nobody's ever said this to you, I'm going to say it to you. Social media is not your business. I'm gonna say that again, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, social media, et cetera. Tick-tock is not your business. Social media are just platforms that we use to market our businesses and ourselves and our message and our services and our offers and social media at the end of the day is really just me. So I'd called social media. So if you really think about what media is, what we want to do now is master what media actually is to have it work to our benefit. And so we get to choose how people see us, what our messages and how we show up. And I think so often we take that for granted. And I think that we don't realize how much control we actually have. And there's a way to master this, that has people coming back, watching all of your content, your stories, videos, lives, written content, et cetera, but it does require being interesting and being worth watching. It's the nicest way I can say that it requires being interesting and being worth watching. And I believe personally that we can be selling all of the time, but not only selling all of the time. And that's where a lot of us get it wrong and we become only. We're just selling, selling, selling, and I believe yes. Sell every day, so all of the time, but we also want. Our social media to be interesting. And so I want you to think about your favorite TV shows. Okay. And your favorite television networks. And for example, if you know me while you know this, I love ABC. Like I think they do such a good job at making shows. I love like almost every single one of their shows and I'm a huge Grey's anatomy fan, modern family, a million little things, et cetera. Just to name a few. And I'm a big Grey's anatomy fan. I've literally seen every. But if ABC only played Grey's anatomy, I would eventually have to change the channel and I would go watch something else. And it's not that I don't love grays. It's not that I'm not going to come back and watch Grey's anatomy again, but it's just too much of the same thing. And I just need a break. And the same thing happens with our social media platforms. If we're just selling all of the time and just posting the same thing, people get sick of. Because it's the same to same face. It's the same sales thing. It's the same slide. And it's not that I don't love you, but I probably need a break. And it all starts to sound the same. It starts to look the same and I'm like, Hey, entertain me, give me something to watch. This doesn't mean peoples aren't going to buy from us. They will, but we want to become more magnetizing online. Right? We want to become worth, watch. So that's what we're really going to dive into today. And as I'm speaking, this is going to be, feel like a longer episode. So we're gonna actually do a part one and part two of this, because I have a lot to say on this. So this will be part one. And then part two will drop the week after this one, because there's a lot for you to absorb and take in. In what we're going over today and next week. So really when it comes to becoming worth watching, we want people to come back to see what we're up to with life and business. It's both, it's not just one or the other. It's both. And here's the thing people will buy from you because they like you and because of who you are. And so when we purpose. Tune into your social media. When people purposefully turn into you, tune in to your social media, they will become more interested in what you sell when you aren't just selling all of the time. So I want you to write these things down. If you have a notebook, if not come back, look at the timestamp. Come back to this episode. I want you to write these things down. What do you want people to get from your social media? What do you want them to get? What do you want them to feel? Are they very specific things that you want people to know about you personally and in business? What is that? What are those things? And then to piggyback off of that, I think something that we get really caught up in is posting for other people, meaning like, what are, what are they gonna think of me? And like, trying to please everyone and thinking about like your friends. I don't know, Kyle from high school that watches all your stories and you're like, Kyle's going to be judging me if I say this. So I want you to post and put content out for yourself and your dream clients and nobody else. It doesn't matter. Sally Jo from middle school is following you. You're not here to sell to Sally Jo. But so often we filter ourselves and we hold ourselves back based on who is watching and that that's not going to work. It's not going to cut it. It's not going to get you where you want to be in business. And so I want you to ask yourself, what do you want to do with your content? What do you want to do with your message? What do you want to do with your community? What do you actually want? And when you think about posting for yourself, What are some things that when you're on social media, first things that you want to see when you wake up in the morning, what kind of posts do you want to see online? Think about your media channels. It's kind of like a journal really, and the more real and authentic we could be. We want that. So share it and it doesn't have to be just you like it doesn't have to just be you on your social media, but what are you deciding it to be and create all things that you love and that you're. Proud of cause at the end of the day, you're number one fan, and you've got to love the things that you're putting out there and you've got to trust it's going to work. But if we're constantly creating from this place of like, oh, I don't know if it's going to work and like questioning every single thing, chances are, you're not actually creating for yourself and your dream clients. And I wanted to add a little reminder slash disclaimer here. You don't need to document your whole life. There's so much that I don't show on social media and you don't need to document everything unless you desired. But what do you want to share about your life and how do you want to show it? All of it works and it gets to be your way, but you choose that you choose what that is. Even with our success and growth, we have to be relatable enough so that they meaning they are dream clients. Don't put us on a pedestal because we want people to know that they matter. So how do you want to be seen? How do you want to be perceived? I'll give you guys an example, I'm somebody and I'm sure you guys feel this. This is literally why we created the heart tower podcast. I want people to feel so safe and so seen and laid back in my world. Therefore, I create that in my content, even in the clothes I wear, I'm very neutral. I wear jeans. It's super relaxed. It's still a, it's a luxury high-end brand, but it's me. It's real. Not wearing blazers with my laptop because that's not who I am. And I want women when they come into my world to feel so safe and so seen and so relaxed. And they can like take a, a breath of fresh air and feel like, wow, this is what I've been looking for in this. I've been looking for this feeling of calmness, this feeling of ease, this feeling of safety. I want to create that. Therefore I do it in everything that I put out there in my marketing and my content, my podcast, my audio, my branding, this, this all matters. So start to think about what you want that to be for you. Now becoming and being a true brown, this matters. And I'm going to give you full transparency. It's something that I didn't realize early on in business, how much it actually matters. Now, I don't mean that you like have to have the curated, perfect feed and like the perfect IgG grid. That's not what I mean when say. Saying, having a true brand. And I don't believe that you need to have the perfect colors. I don't believe it needs to look like anybody. Else's no, that's not a must. However, your message of your brand has to be consistent. It has to be consistent. It has to be valuable. It has to be giving to your community from a place of service. It has to be repetitive. It has to be. Coming from this place of, I know where I can find you at any given time and learn from you. And again, I'm going to say this word again, it's consistent. And with your brand, like, as far as like Instagram and media, for sure you can make it cohesive. Um, I, at this point I have a pretty cohesive brand. I'm not afraid to mess it up. If I feel inspired to share an infographic when it doesn't fit in my timeline, I don't care because I've got to say what I want to say. Right. And I think the same holds true for many, if not all of the. But we want it to be professional. We want it to be consistent. Um, you can use the same filter on your photos. Canva's really great. Um, and some things that are trending, we know right now, our reels and infographics and carousels trending so much right now. And you can incorporate those into your brand with the same colors, the same text, the same filters, and it starts to look and feel really cohesive. And your brand will start to curate. Feeling when I come to you, it's a certain feeling that I get and it can be intentional. So start to really think, what do you want people to feel when they come to your stories, your feed, your page, your podcast, your emails, whatever it might be. What do you want your people to feel? Because when you can master that, we're going to keep coming back because I know what I'm going to get. For example, you guys keep coming back to the podcast cause you know, I'm gonna give you so much. But I'm also going to tell you the truth and that's a breath of fresh air for you. And it's not the same as every other business podcast out there. So think about what you actually want to curate, what you want it to be, and then create it. Another thing, um, yes, you could of course use the same colors and branding. I'll give you guys an example. All of my programs are specifically branded to that program, but. My brand colors are all cohesive. And if somebody were to see my color somewhere, they probably think of me. That's on purpose. I use a lot of light pink, white tans, Navy blue Jean. Um, and then we've got some rose, gold and gold, and people start to think of me with those colors. Right. But it doesn't need to be perfect. However, when we are starting to create a brand of recognition, even like certain emojis and texts that you use, we're going to start to think of you when we're not just watching you. And that can be really, really powerful. And it's going to continually evolve. Let it even right now, as I'm recording this, like we're in the process of doing a rebrand, I'm craving it. I'm feeling it. Things are changing. Things are shifting. I'm like, I'm ready. We've got, I haven't done any photo shoots. Since we moved into our new house, I'm like, I'm just ready. I'm ready for evolution. And that's going to happen in your business, but my brand is really consistent. And I'll give you guys some examples of what you know me for. Me, my fiance con Apollo family, our life together mindset, self care, money, growth, security with your finances, business empowerment, realness authenticity. You guys know me for these things and all of these things are big part of me and who I am as a person, a leader, a coach, and what matters a lot to me in my life. And it makes me who I am today, but I'm also a business and a media channel. And so I combined both of those. So when you guys come to watch me, it's intentional, you know, almost every day, you're going to see parts of my life and things that I do and things about me and who I am. And you're also going to see. So it's predictable, but it's also unpredictable not to, it keeps you coming back. It's interesting and it's entertaining and we want to be strategic about sharing these things, making them relative to who you are, what you stand for, but also relative to what you're selling, what you're going to be selling. So it gets to be both. It gets to be both now with this. Another thing that works really well is stories. How to keep people coming back and watching on our stories. That's something I get asked all the time. Michelle, my story of user did. Mr abuser down. And here's the thing. Like, it doesn't matter if your story views are down, if you have an actual brand and you're a person that people want to follow and people want to learn from, and people like want in their life in a social media realm. So that's something I just wanted to point out to you. Like, even if the algorithm's doing its thing or your story abuse, your town or whatever it might be, that doesn't mean that you're not going to sell and not going to make money. My views go down too, but here's the. People are always searching for me to, because I'm interesting, but also they know there's a form of consistency. That's going to happen in my social media and the value in how I show up. And it's also going to give them what they desire from coming to my feet. So that's something I wanted to pour into you. And there are so many ways to do this, but as we discussed earlier, it's more than just business. When it comes to stories on your Instagram, you're more than your business and believe it or not. The life you find boring. I hear that all the time. Michelle, my life's so boring. I don't do anything. Your people find so interesting. And it's why we love reality TV. It's the behind the scenes stuff that keeps us coming back for more. We love behind the scenes. Love it. So become interesting, share things about you and your life throughout your day. Share what you love about your niche and industry share what you don't. Share your views and your beliefs. As much as you feel comfortable, take a stand for something, share your fashion, your clothes that you just ordered, share your food. I, it doesn't matter. Share your human outside of your business. And again, most people will buy from you because they like, you know, you and trust you. It's important for us to be on video. We know this right. It's important for us to be on video. Your stories. Don't always have to be you talking. And they'll actually perform better if they aren't just all your face talking for 15 slides every single day. And if you notice, if you were to really analyze my stories and how I show up, they aren't filled with just me talking all the time. And there's a reason for this, because if I'm only showing up and talking about my offers and selling all of the time, eventually you're going to change the channel. So I show my life. I sell in different ways outside of me just talking. I also share stories without me only talking I've shared so many stories. Like I'll give you an example. A couple of weeks ago, I had taken a photo of a beautiful pink couch in my office, and I took a photo of it. And I had a text on there about how, like I'm so grateful for this beautiful office in this home and this couch. And when I started my business, the only piece of furniture that I had was a hand-me-down desk for my brother-in-law, because I could not afford any equipment for my business. When I say. And I'm so grateful for where it is now. And that was a story that I told from one photo of a pink couch. And I can't tell you how many DMS I got, and that was a part of storytelling, but also a form of embodiment because I want my dream clients to also see what's possible for them. So don't just talk about it. You got to be about it. When we talk about this form of embodiment, it's also being, so it showing it's a leading, it's bringing it to life through your social media and that is magnetizing and it's so, so good. And so the last thing we're going to get into on today's episode, before we go into part two for next week. We're going to talk about messaging and magnetizing marketing, and here's the truth. Okay. It's your job to tune into who you are and it's their job to find harmony with that or not meaning their job, your dream clients, prospective clients, et cetera, and spoiler alert. Not everyone is going to like you and that's okay. And if you're only sharing, and if you're sharing on any kind of social media platform, I need you to know there's always going to be people who love you and those who can't stand you and your message. It's completely fine. They were never going to buy from you. And it's totally okay. So know this now. We're never going to make everyone happy. So stop trying, literally stop filtering yourself and holding yourself back because you're trying to please everyone. It is hurting your business and your income. I wish I could come through the screen right now and like put my hands on your shoulders and like allow you to take a deep breath and realize you are enough right here. And right now, Whole self saying, and being, and putting out into the world, what you want to without lowering and filtering your message to please people. It is not your job to lower your message or your energy or your vibration, or to shrink yourself, to meet people where they're at or to please them. That's not your job. It's your job to allow people to meet you where your. Where you're at and invite them to join you to rise with you, speak to where your at right now in life and business, and allow your perspective clients to come with own where you're at. When you show up with who you are, your dream clients are going to love what you're putting out and how you're showing up. And this is part of building authority and leadership. We go first. And so when you share where you're at in your embodiment and you own it, it's really flipping powerful and that's what makes you different and stand out. But we're so afraid to be seen, actually seem that we then filter. And I want to give you guys an example. I shared a post in my Facebook group, not too long ago of sharing where I was at. And asking my dream clients to rise with me. I had shared a post in there about how I put about $20,000 into savings. And you guys know if you're here, I'm all about women having money, not just making money. And now from that, when there was a story, there, there was embodiment because I'm walking the walk I'm showing you that it's possible. I'm not just telling you. I'm physically showing you me putting money into savings. And T and number three with that is I'm inviting you to come along. This is possible for you inside of my world. This is what I teach you. And that's so powerful. And what happens is people resonate. They feel something they're drawn to it because of the desire that they have and that type of marketing. Magnetizing beyond belief. And one thing I want to add to magnetizing marketing is celebration. Style. Content goes a really long way, and it's like, so magnetizing your people, your clients, your prospective clients, they want to celebrate you. They want to celebrate with you. And when you invite them to celebrate you and your clients, the chances of new people coming into your world are very likely. So celebration vibes always. Now this is part one. Come back for part two, because it's going to be so juicy. And if you're enjoying this episode, we still have the giveaway going. And you guys know, I would love it. If you shared this on your social media stories and you tagged me because the more we share, the more this gets into the hands of women who need and desire, support inside of their business. So I cannot thank you enough for those of you that are sharing. Those of you that will share from today's episode and tag me, I also love sharing you on my story so people can find you. It's just a beautiful thing that happens when you guys share. And I share, and of course the giveaway still going on, where you'll be entered in to win a coaching call with me completely free.
