Welcome back to another episode of health hacks as I continue talking about some of the many benefits of detoxing. And today, I want to talk to you about how detoxing can enhance your immune system, and therefore help you be able to fight off illness. And I talked last time about the connection between detoxing and stress on the body, when the body is under stress, our immune system isn't functioning at its best. And therefore when we alleviate the stress from the body, our immune system can be functioning optimally. And if we're using detoxing to be removing that physiological stress of the body, which is one of the stresses that we encounter each and every day, then that is going to allow your immune system to be functioning at a more optimal level and you will get sick less often. We know that the three major causes of chronic illness are high toxic load, nutrient depletion or low nutrient intake, as well as stress. And so this is addressing the detoxing and the stress piece of that which allows you to then lower your risk of chronic illness. Speaking of which, many forms of cancer are actually chronic illnesses, not all However, other chronic illnesses are also heart disease, diabetes, leaky gut obesity, even Alzheimer's dementia is considered a chronic illness. And detoxing helps us minimize that risk. And when it comes to cancers, it can minimize the risk of all types of cancers because many of our cancers are caused by that toxic load on the body, carcinogens getting inside our body and causing, you know, these health issues down the line. And as a result, detoxing can help reduce the risk of you ending up with a cancer diagnosis. It's easy to do.
