So, bud, let's talk about, we'll

talk about golf. But the last Saturday

of college football,

I know for a fact I took ten games and I won eight

of the ten.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, it was, it was a good, it was a good weekend on Saturday.

Last Saturday, that is, not only for

your home team, the Pitt Panthers, and they

just cracked into the top 25 this week, 22nd.

>> RB: Yes, sir.

>> Jonathan: Congrats for you guys. But the mountaineers

got one done down there in Oklahoma,

actually, in an impressive fashion, if I'm being honest,

because frankly, I didn't know

that line was like, kind of teetering between

three two and a half points, you know, with Oklahoma State

favored. And naturally, we

always kind of have a tough, tough deal down there in Oklahoma City,

but, I'm sorry.

>> RB: Still water.

>> Jonathan: Still water. Yeah, I'm thinking Oklahoma State,

Oklahoma City, but in Stillwater. So the

Mountaineers got the dub, but you and I kind of went on this little, like,

we kind of saw the light a little bit.

>> RB: Yes.

Sunday was not good, which. We'll get into that. But dude,

I was. I played in the 27 hole event at Shannon Penn, and

I, and I said to somebody, I said, I think today you

load up on Vandy. Not saying that

Vanderbilt would win, I just felt like there was so much

emotion from Alabama from the week before that they would

throw a little bit of a dud, not cover. I didn't

expect them to lose that game. And we were

a few days late. Did you see what they

did with those goal posts?

>> Jonathan: I did.

>> RB: They walked down Broadway and dumped

those things in the river down by the Nissan stadium.

>> Jonathan: And I also saw that the SEC find Vanderbilt for.

For that.

>> RB: But, yeah, I mean, you just beat the number

one school, in the country. You're

fine?

>> Jonathan: No, I didn't see that happening. I mean, certainly

anything can happen on any given day, but no, if you would

ask me on Saturday if I thought Vanderbilt

could beat or even stay within the spread of Alabama,

I probably would have said no.

but again, all things, anything.

>> RB: Did you see the video of Nick Saban saying, everywhere is hard to

play except Vanderbilt? He did it on the Pat McAfee show

and they kept repeating it after on the Jumbotron

and Vandy, after they beat Alabama.

>> Jonathan: Oh, no.

>> RB: Everywhere is hard to play except for Vanderbilt.

>> Jonathan: Yeah, that was, That was a big. That was kind of a big deal.

>> RB: Yeah. You think? there were some other

good. I mean, I think, what, five or six of

the top ten lost, there was a lot

of upsets and, we were on the right side. A lot

of those upsets. And it felt good,

to wake up Sunday morning, have a little green in that account.

>> Jonathan: Well, when I was in Tennessee with you, which we'll get into this

little Tennessee trip, because we got a lot to talk about with that.

but I kind of thought the same thing that Monday

night. I was like, man, the Titans are playing. I'm going to take Titans. I'm in

Tennessee. No big deal, right? So kind of the same thing.

Tennessee playing Arkansas. I wasn't in

Tennessee, so I thought, you know what? I'm going to go against

Tennessee this evening. Plus, that point

spread was 14 points. Arkansas being a big underdog,

and Arkansas has been playing decent football in

honor of Matt still. Shout out, Matt still.

So we rolled the dice on the razorbacks,

but. And that paid off good.

>> RB: Yeah, but there are some

picks that we took that I'm kind of like, yeah. Ah.

And they panned out.

>> Jonathan: But the little Minnesota Gophers.

>> RB: Yeah.

>> Jonathan: Against USC, I mean, and naturally, boise

state waxen Utah state. Oh, boys

covering that big Marshall.

>> RB: The herd got it done. Do you see Zach Bryan was there

down in Huntington, West Virginia, for the Marshall game.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> RB: So, there was a lot of good things

coming, from Saturday. And then we rolled into Sunday.

I felt like I was going to kind of tiptoe a little bit on NFL

Sunday. I took a four game parlay with

you lost. And then, the Pittsburgh

Steelers took, minus two and a

half lost.

>> Jonathan: So, well, there's two teams that are for real for,

well, three, actually, in my opinion, that are absolutely for

real right now. And that's the Washington

commanders, Baltimore Ravens and

the Minnesota Vikings. And

we, as, Steeler fans early in the season, we were on the hype

chain a little bit, bud. You know, we start off the season

30, and next thing you know, we dropped

a three and two, and it's like we're back to square one again with these

boys. And I waited all day

on Sunday. This past Sunday, I was stoked for

this Sunday night game against Dallas. You know, I'm kind of

like, I got the whole day, you know, we could do whatever. We went to

the grocery store, went to church. I went and hit some golf

balls, and I'm just sitting around waiting for the

scale. Then this weather delay happens, and naturally I'm like,

God, I can't stay up past halftime. Now the

game's not kicking off till halftime, so what am I going to do? Well,

what did I do? I stayed up, I watched

it, and it was disappointing. You know,

Dallas was able to run the ball pretty good on, on the

Steelers. And naturally, I mean, Justin Fields still had two

td's, but that offense is still stalling

out, man.

>> RB: So, so the, the big question

is you being a big Steelers fan? I'm not. I wouldn't say

I'm a big Steelers fan. I'm not a big NFL fan.

>> Jonathan: Well, I'm not a big. Like, I'm not wearing the badge everywhere I go, but,

like, I'm traveling on.

>> RB: The southwest airline jersey, but, I

don't do.

>> Jonathan: I don't go to the games.

>> RB: Is Russell Wilson your quarterback? Now that they're

saying he's gonna be.

>> Jonathan: Healthy, I mean, I think at this juncture, it's

worth a shot. I mean, you got to try

to see if somebody can get in there and put some points up. I mean, look what Baltimore

and Cincinnati.

>> RB: Why are they not getting. And maybe it's too much coverage,

but Pickens, I understand he's a freak dude, but they

can't. They can't get him the ball,

so.

>> Jonathan: Well, they can't get in the ball. But he's also,

obviously, he's a past week. What he

did at the end of the game did not look good on his

part. And, I don't know. He is. He is a freak

athlete and obviously the best receiver we have. But

that's. That's a good question. Why can't they feed him the ball? I

mean, so.

>> RB: Okay, I don't know.

>> Jonathan: And we had two running backs playing, but, like, these guys. This one

guy came off. He went to Harvard. Like, I had to

listen to that three times. I was thinking Harvard on the mon,

cal u. But in reality, it's actually Harvard.

>> RB: Yeah.

>> Jonathan: And this cat's in the NFL, so that's kind of cool right there.

>> RB: But, tidbit that you. You've paid attention. Glad you paid

attention to the game. Let's rewind it

to, two Sundays ago,

WVU golf

tournament.

>> Jonathan: Yeah.

>> RB: At Nemicolon. We sat on 17. We

yucked it up with some of the teams. You know, some people

were receptive to us. Some people just ignored us.

That's fine. That's what we expected. But it was

good. It was fun. WVU is putting on a nice

show up there for their event, and my ears

are still ringing.

>> Jonathan: Bud Kovich, shout out. Shawn Kovich. Man,

what a phenomenal job he's done with the West Virginia golf

program in the big twelve. And, the boys are ready to

go. we got the invite to go up to Nemacolin

to kind of cheer them on in the practice round. We

posted up on 17 to par three. And, to

our surprise, Kovich had a dj set up as well.

Now, I initially thought this dj was

going to be like, I don't know, looking,

like a dj, right? No,

I mean, this guy, great dj, maybe,

but if he played apple bottom, jeans, boots with the fur

one more time, you were going to lose your mind, bud.

And my ears. Guys, you got to

listen to this. This guy, great guy, nice

guy, whatever. But honest to God, he did

not look like your typical dj at all. I

mean, I, was surprised a little bit there.

Right? But. But the second thing, too, was that

the speakers were set up in a way that they were

just blasting on the tee box. I mean,

it's one thing to have music playing when you're ready to go. And granted, I

know this was a practice round, but, dude,

we had to sit behind the freaking tee box at

times.

>> RB: So loud.

>> Jonathan: I mean, the whole course on

14, green 15, t box

coming down 16, obviously 17, and

probably teeing off on 18.

>> RB: No, the music, they said at 18, they could hear

where the carts are.

>> Jonathan: I guarantee it. It was so freaking loud.

>> RB: Yeah.

>> Jonathan: Like, we should have had ear protection. That's my only

complaint, probably that it's a complaint.

>> RB: But.

>> Jonathan: But we talked to a lot of the guys, man. A lot of the kids came

through there.

>> RB: Coaches saw coach I haven't seen in years,

Mike Larkin. So that's good seeing him m down at all.

>> Jonathan: Someone you know.

>> RB: All right.

>> Jonathan: Oh, you played against.

>> RB: Played against them. but congrats, WVU. They

brought home the victory team and individual,

so congratulations to them. Big win. Nice

win. It was a good field. and I think that field, once

people start hearing about what they're doing up there now, a

colon and NW and all that, I think that

field will only get stronger.

>> Jonathan: Well, I said, who's the best team in the field besides west Virginia?

And the answer was Penn State. Right. Well,

you and I took note to that, because during the practice round, Penn

State didn't even practice. They didn't even play in the practice round. But where

was Penn State? They weren't.

And that's. Yeah, they didn't. They didn't win.

>> RB: Robert Morris showed up like Bobby Mo, 30, 30 minutes

late.

>> Jonathan: The. We had the boys from George

Washington. I mean, these cats,

they loved the music they played, studio love,

blasted it, taking videos. And

naturally, the central Michigan head coach, he

was a freaking nice guy, man.

He said, if I had it my way, we'd be flying on PJ's.

>> RB: I said, well, you said, funny enough. I

said, I got one year left of

eligibility, and I can make that happen for

you.

>> Jonathan: Yeah. No, I did not say that. But I.

But you know, that's a tough program if you

think about a central Michigan. You know, he didn't

want to be.
