Hello everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauPastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauWelcome to the faith based business podcast today.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauWe're so blessed that you joining us again today.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauYou know, we've been talking about, you know, mastering the art of faith based storytelling and, and we're going to continue down that line today, all in an effort to show you that sharing your faith, well, building or growing your ministry is one of the most important things that you can do.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauLet me go ahead and share this screen here and we'll jump right into today's teaching.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauPraise the Lord.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd you know, today I want to, to look at how to actually craft these stories so that you can connect with your intended audience basically on a deeper level.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAmen.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauNow first, you need to have a thorough understanding of what it is your audience really needs.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauUnderstanding your audience is the key to effective storytelling.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauYou know what challenges they're facing, you know what questions or fears that do they have.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauWhen you know these things, you can tailor your story to address them directly.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauI mean, this shows your audience that you see them, that you understand them, you understand their needs.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd this helps build trust and encourages them to engage with you and especially when they engage with your message.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAmen.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauSo your most impactful stories will often be the ones that reflect your audience's struggles, their hopes, their desires.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauSelect stories that mirror these, these common experiences.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauWhen your listeners see themselves in your story, that's when they connect with your story on a deeper level and it helps them, helps them to feel understood and less alone going through their problems.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAuthenticity, though, in storytelling isn't about presenting yourself as being perfect.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauOkay, don't, don't try to strive for that aspect of it.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauIt's about showing your real human side.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauThat's what they'll connect with.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauShare your own challenges with them.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauShare your moments of doubt, share your personal breakthroughs.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauWhen you let your guard down, it allows your audience to do the same thing that creates a bond that, that really will take your message and make it more relatable to them.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauIt'll inspire them and it definitely becomes more memorable for them.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAmen.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd craft your story with language that demonstrate your empathy.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauExpress understanding of, of the struggles and the emotions that many of your listeners might be facing right at that very moment.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauEmpathy will communicate that you care about their experience and it makes your audience basically feel safe, feel heard, which if you want to get right down to it, that's essential for genuine connections, right?
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAmen.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauNot only should your audience emphasize with your story, they need to understand that you emphasize with the struggles and challenges they are facing that you understand what they're going through.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd a powerful story doesn't just recount an experience.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauIt shows growth.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauIt demonstrates change.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd share how your faith helped you navigate through a difficult situation, highlighting how it transformed you, made you better.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauInclude examples of how your training combined with your faith, allowed you to overcome difficulties that that ultimately helped you achieve success.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAmen.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauThis shows your audience that growth is possible for them no matter what they're going through.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd it gives them hope that they will also be able to overcome their challenges, just as you did.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauNow, usually the next question I'll receive is about using scripture in your presentations or in the workplace or things along, you know, that line, you know, and you know, people say, well, you know, you don't want to be preaching.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauAnd that's true.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauYou don't want to be preaching.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauOkay.
Pastor Bob ThibodeauBut the answer I usually give is, well, tell you what, we'll save that for next time.

Pastor Bob ThibodeauGet you come back next time.
