Foaling Season Has Us Exhausted
0:00
Welcome back to Catching Up with Katie. So, we are all really tired and I am smiling through it. It's fine. And we
0:07
have a new face. Well, actually a couple new faces. You're not new. You're an old face, but we do have a new face behind
Welcoming a New Face to the Team
0:13
the scenes here. So, Buck. Hi. This is This is Buck Morgan. He is a new part of
0:19
the team. Uh he's actually part of Matt and Nate's team, so he's just going to be here hopefully all the time. Now, um,
0:26
give us a little a little backstory on what you're going to be doing and just like the ladies on Snapchat like you.
0:33
So, we also need just like a bio for that as well. Yeah, my name is Buck from Mississippi.
0:39
Been in photography for seven or eight years now. I was doing a lot of real estate photography originally and then I was actually shooting his house whenever
0:46
he uh kind of told me about this job with y'all and was like, "Would you be interested in that?" I'm like, "Oh, that sounds so much better than shooting
0:52
houses going." Such a Matt move. Yeah. and I was like so grateful for it as well. So now I get lucky enough to
0:58
come out here and, you know, shoot the podcast, shoot all the animals, you know, do the days and the lives with y'all, full watch, all that good stuff.
1:05
Um, what's your what's your thoughts been on full watch so far? There's been no FO, by the way. At this point in time,
Foal Watch Update
1:10
there's been no FO. I really hope that we prepped him the way that we did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I really hope by the time this airs,
1:16
he was no under no uh no misconceptions about full season. Yeah. Yeah. He let me know. It was like
1:21
be a lot of nights, a lot of days, and I was like, I'm up for it, man. I'm good to go. I'm ready for it. And I think it's become a trend where
1:28
first FO of the year, I jump the gun. Yeah. As you know, I can barely leave the farm
1:35
because I have so many FO being born and I can get a little stir crazy. Each year, the crew and I try to find ways to
1:42
keep busy. Last year we learned how to play chess and this year we've been playing big farm homestead especially
1:49
during foing season as it can be so busy. It is great to be able to have a game I can play to wind down at the end
1:55
of the day. Some games hype you up, but this one really calms you down. I've been playing Big Farm Homestead in the
2:02
evenings when I want to switch off during this bowling season. It shows open fields, warm sunsets, cute cows,
2:09
and you're just restoring this beautiful countryside farm at your own pace. It's so fun being able to build and design a
2:15
farm and help make it thrive every day, just like my own. Big Farm Homestead is like being on my own farm, but without
2:22
the stress. You can download it for free now on iOS and Android.
2:28
Um, last year it was like weeks. Hey, now it was Hey now, no. Kennedy was 10 days.
2:36
Kennedy was 10 days. We were on day Tonight will be night seven. Okay. So, we're not there yet. They say it was
2:42
weeks because because of Karen when Squirt was born. By the way, she owns Squirt now. Um and so cuz Karen went to
2:48
day 355, but they it was different then though because we didn't have this finished in
2:54
here and it was like they were staying in the Airbnb and so it didn't feel
2:59
quite the same, but they were still away from home like so. Yeah, they it was full watch. But
3:04
yeah, so we're on night seven. I really hope by the time this airs we have a baby or I mean we could have a couple at
3:10
this point. We have like four mayors after 320, right? Like today's Coco's 320. So the mini we could have two two
3:17
or three other mayors before Raven at this point. So she's overdue at this point. That's the other thing is that
3:23
last year we didn't have a single mayor make it to this point in their pregnancy. So I don't know.
3:28
Just caring. Um, that was two years ago. We're supposed to be two. Oh, he's about to be two.
3:34
I know. That's what I'm saying. It's been so long ago. We've like haven't had any mayors make it to their due date. Anyway, so Buck's a new part of the
3:41
team. That's going to be super exciting. But what a Matt move to like in the middle of having his house's pictures
3:46
taken. Be like, "Hey, hey, man. You want a job?" Pretty sure I just got off the phone with Nate. We decided that we needed another guy and he just fit the bill. He
3:54
was young enough, tall enough, handsome enough, black hair. We had we had an idea of what we were looking for
4:01
um physically. So he also Okay, if y'all haven't been tuning
4:08
in for like the lives, you came for 10 minutes of a live and we're like I'm out. I mean, I'm ready to go.
4:13
I have a fool. Not that Matt and Nate do not, but I had to get home to the family. We got families that matter.
4:18
No, but no, we've been playing Dungeons and Dragons
Dungeons & Dragons on Foal Watch
4:24
on live while we wait on this fall. So, we got through a whole campaign because
4:29
it's been that long. And that was another like big win on your part is
4:34
that he came in already being a Dungeons and Dragons nerd. Yeah. And he jumped in mid campaign and took
4:40
over one of the villain arcs. Um, so my character doesn't like his character, but it's fine. Um, like I keep having to get out of
4:47
Shadow Heart because like I keep being mean to him and then I'm like, it's just Shadow Heart. I'm sorry. It's not me.
4:52
You may not want to say something caddyy. That was Shadow
4:58
Heart. Yeah. Wasn't me. It's your default now. Yeah. Uh we are being such nerds though cuz
5:03
like within the game if you want to do an action you have to roll for it, you know? And so now every time we're like,
5:09
"Hey, y'all want to do this?" We're like, "You want to roll for it?" Like it's so dumb. Um but anyway, that's just
5:15
what we've been doing. We've been just up all night playing Dungeons and Dragons and getting our work done the
5:21
day, not sleeping a whole lot. Uh, so with that being said, we didn't have a whole lot of brain power coming into
5:26
this episode. And I relied on y'all's brains. And then I called in Rebecca and I said, "Hey, how quickly could you get
5:33
over here to do Catching Up with Katie?" And she was like, "I literally just got out of the shower." And I'm gonna pull up this picture.
5:40
I'm gonna pull up this picture that was sent to me. Uh, because this was 30 minutes ago.
5:46
Um, I was sent the before, but you're seeing the lovely after. You pulled it together so quickly.
5:51
It's a little better. So, so we are so grateful that you were able to pop over here. That is the good
5:57
thing about you living five minutes away. So, a lot of people had some questions for you. We have some other things
Q&A Time
6:03
coming as well within this episode. Some some news, but just a couple questions
6:08
to do it to satiate to satiate the your fans. Yes, you have fans.
6:15
Okay. So, I guess maybe it's because you're best friends with an only child,
6:20
but you were giving only child energy. I do. And then people were shocked that you have a brother.
6:26
Yeah. Um, people have said that before that they're shocked I have a brother. Um, I think part of it is I don't put
6:33
anybody on my social media that's like not me or Evan, I feel like. So, I do have a full family. Um, I have have
6:39
parents, uh, friends, siblings, all all of that. they just aren't part of what I do. So, yes, I
6:46
have an older brother, big Dungeons and Dragons guy, like literally goes to like a weekly meeting. So, he was very He
6:52
tried to teach me like 10 years ago, but it was on paper, so I wasn't into it. Well, also you're like I think it's more
6:57
of a shock also even like give you a sibling that you're not the older sister. That's shocking that I do tell
7:04
my brother that I am our father's strongest son. So, she knows my brother
7:10
and knows that's factual. He's like 6'4 in this big burly man, but it's still factual.
7:15
Yeah, he's he's a big teddy bear and so if he needs anybody to like come in and fight his battles, he calls him the big
7:20
guns. Um, but yes, I do have an older brother. He is four years older than me and yeah, he's like I said, he's 6'4. He
7:26
has bright red hair. Um, we look nothing alike. I wanted you to have a a redheaded baby so bad.
7:31
He not that there's anything wrong with having red hair, but our whole life she's been mean to him about it his
7:37
whole life. He would be he would pick on me and like the end was just like, "Well, you have red hair." So that was like my last comment. So as soon as he
7:43
found out I was having children, he was like, "They're both gonna be redheaded." And actually, I would have loved that.
7:48
Can you imagine them with red hair? I I could so imagine Kinsley being just like so beautiful. Yes. But yes, older brother, but I am the
7:56
biggest oldest sibling. Um, okay. They want to know men. Our
Dream Vacations
8:02
dream vacation. Our dream vacation. No men. No men. I don't know. This could go
8:07
multiple ways because we've been on multiple vacations together. You know what the vacation we haven't been on
8:12
together? A tropical a tropical. We've been We've done like the the trail ride in Colorado. We've done the
8:20
fishing mountains cabin type things. We We're going to go to Vegas this year.
8:25
Yeah, we're going to Vegas this year. That's our trip this year because we were like, "Hey, we can't do a freaking week. We can't do a long thing. We just
8:31
got to get away quick. We're somewhere we can get away with little to no planning." Yeah. Vegas. Vegas, baby.
8:36
No planning. So, we're gonna go to Vegas. Um, and that's the thing is like neither one of us are like partyier, gambler, drinker,
8:44
like But still, I think we could go see some shows. I think just walking around. It'll be something different. Have you been you? Yeah. Okay. This
8:52
I went to Vegas when I was pregnant. So, she told me she was like with cuz she's fertile myrtle. So Kinsley, they had
8:58
like planned and so she was like, "Hey, I think I'm going to plan to have get pregnant in May cuz you have that
9:04
luxury." We're like, "I'm going to get pregnant on this date." And so you're like, "I think I'm get pregnant in May
9:10
because we're going to Vegas in April and I don't want to be sick cuz she gets like deathly ill when she's pregnant."
9:16
And I was like, "Okay, well two weeks before her trip, I just get a I'm
9:22
pregnant dot dot dot text." Yeah. It was not a fun Vegas trip. I would not recommend going to Vegas
9:28
pregnant ever. The smells alone will take you out. Yeah, you can't do anything. What was
9:33
that? I said I can imagine it was pretty rough. And we stayed on Fremont Street which I think is a little bit stinkier than the rest of like we
9:42
were in a non-smoking room that just meant they hadn't smoked in it like that day. Like it was so smoky. It It was
9:48
brutal. It was a rough trip. Have you been to Vegas? Yeah, I went two years ago. Yeah. Three months.
9:54
Were you pregnant? No, I was. Okay. at that moment.
9:59
It does have a lot of smells though. Yeah. And when you're pregnant, like everything smells really weird. Like I can remember I used to open my fridge
10:05
every morning and the fridge smelled fine. I made so many people smell my fridge and I would just open the fridge like every day there. Everybody said
10:12
there was no smell. I could smell it. It smelled like an old lunchbox. And my wife, yeah, it was bad. So Vegas just smelled
10:19
like sweaty people and cigarettes. Well, we want to go back.
10:24
All there is. Smell it. Let's go, baby. Um, but dream trip. I see. I don't know. We're not like super tropical gals,
10:31
though. I do love a a do nothing day, though. And so, like, I feel like that is one thing that
10:36
I feel like every trip we've ever gone on, we're like itinerary. What are we doing? Where are we going? What are we booking? We
10:42
I help figure out what we're doing. Um, I think we should go to Blackberry Farms.
10:48
I have the in there. I have an in there at Blackberry Farms. Yeah. Me and their me and their main
10:54
marketing gal are this. That's like my dream trip. Like like for like for 20 years.
10:59
Why haven't you been to Blackberry Farms? It's expensive. Oh, I know. I know. That's why it's a dream trip. It's not like a casual trip.
11:06
Sarah Shabbo. Okay. Sarah Elder Shabbo. She's like their main marketing gal. Well, at one point
11:12
she might be I don't know what she does now, but I've talked with her all the time because she does like she shows AQA. We were with the same trainer for
11:18
forever and then so me and her have been on like weekly meetings right now setting up for the English versatility
11:24
stuff. I have not been using our friendship to my fullest advantage. Yeah, she's like she's all in on Blackberry Farms. She's been there for
11:30
forever. Oh my gosh. I've wanted to go to Blackberry Farms literally for 10 years and I would just never pay for it. But
11:36
like for a fun girls trip, we want to go to Blackberry Farms. We need to This is This is our uh ask to
11:43
be invited. Sarah, just saying I don't I won't say the prices on here, but it's like I know it's luxury.
11:48
No, it's it's not luxury luxury. It's lux like like you could probably purchase a car.
11:53
No, that's the thing. She always told me like all of the you know famous people that would come there over the weekend
11:59
and whatnot. So that's But like I I also just because I knew the prices, I didn't really look at what
12:04
can you do there like what Oh, I have like been at the point where you like check out a hundred times. What What can you What do you do there?
12:10
Nothing. You can do like a spa and like walk around and everybody just like caters to you like just a mom's dream.
12:16
Like interesting. So I I don't know. I do think a do
12:22
nothing trip is something we haven't done and it's like not far. It's in Georgia. Mhm.
12:27
Or like south. It's like towards Georgia, I believe. It may not actually be in Georgia. I think it's right there on like the North Georgia line.
12:33
I think we should do Okay. The Vegas trip that's like with the boys. I would never go without them honestly.
12:38
Not to Vegas. No. They and they both like enjoy Vegas. Like I don't enjoy Vegas.
12:44
Jonathan, he loves pulling a little slot machine. Loves getting a little pras. He'll be
12:49
So both of the things that you arguably lose the most money on probably.
12:55
That's why we're there to keep that from happening. Yes. But we'll be shopping. So, but then like the show, okay, the only
13:01
time I've been to Vegas was or I've been twice when I was 13. Why? Because my dad, so SEMA is like a
13:09
huge like convention there and he works in auto parts and like that was a huge
13:14
thing for them. They went to Vegas every year for this this trip and it was like a work trip and so he took me one year
13:20
with my mom and my nana. And so he stayed like a week later and we just went and saw like Phantom of the Opera
13:27
and we saw Search and we went to the Grand Canyon because you can take like a really quick trip. Yeah.
13:32
Like on a small plane and you can go to the Grand So we went to the Grand Canyon. all that goes to Hoover Dam, everything like that. Um,
13:39
and so we went and did that and that was very family trip Vegas. And then I went to Shot Show one year and this was in
13:47
like 20 17 2017 2018 and I had like no money to
13:55
spend in Vegas. Like we went there for work and I didn't have like I was there
14:00
for my own like work opportunities so no one was taking me there. So, it was on my dime still. And so, I remember it was
14:07
just insane. Like, we I think the first day we got there, Jonathan got sick and I ordered chicken tenders to the uh room and it was $27
14:15
for some chicken tenders and I was like, "Okay, we're we can't come back." So, we haven't been back since. Yeah. Um but yeah, so I think I think going
14:22
just for a couple shows, hang out, little shopping, not in the dead of like summer like it's
14:28
so hot and sticky. Late spring or something be nice. So, but that's Yeah. Blackberry Farms.
14:33
I think a do nothing trip would be great. Yeah. Blackberry Farms is the dream trip. That's We want to preface that. I don't
14:40
know if that's that's going to happen in No. No. That's why it's called You said a dream. You said the dream trip. That's the dream trip. That's the dream
14:46
trip. They they want to know how Evan is. How's Evan? Uh Evan's doing good. He broke his neck for those that don't
14:52
know. Yeah. Yeah. If you don't know, my husband uh fractured his C7 in May of 2025. Uh it was a big deal. He could do
15:00
nothing for a long time. like literally nothing. Uh so yeah, so you were the man of the house.
15:06
I was the man of the house for quite quite a while. Your man of the house videos were funny. Yeah, I did a lot of videos on like
15:12
doing husband jobs and I cannot lie. I got in really good shape. I was like you built a table.
15:17
Yeah, that was pretty. Those mash barrels are like 200 lb. I was moving was that's impressive. I took
15:23
everything I had and then I was down for like two days, but I got him moved. But yes, he is doing great. He um he's done
15:29
a lot of PT and I think we have accepted Evan's neck will never be what it was. I
15:34
think he'll always have some chronic pain which is a bummer but um he's he's back to working out and building
15:40
strength which is which is helping and yeah he's back to full duty at work so all the things he was on the job when he
15:45
got hurt. He is a lineman. Um so dangerous job right this weekend snow coming in. Keep keep all the linemen in
15:53
your thoughts because he was actually working a storm um when he got hurt and a tree fell on him like
15:58
as he was driving as he was driving like the tree fell and he was driving and it just smashed into he's going 40 miles an hour tree falls
16:05
at the same time smashes into him. It's actually a miracle that he's alive. The photos are horrific. When I saw the
16:10
truck in person I was traumatized. Um, but then it's so funny like your kids
16:15
have your same dark humor and so like the other night and this has been months ago like your kids five or she's she's
16:22
six now. She just turned six but like this 5-year-old at the time like uh I think y'all
16:28
he came and ate dinner with us and then was going back out. He got called out. He got He got called out. And so they
16:33
were at my house and we were just sitting around like lounging and eating. And as he's leaving, Kinsey goes, "Don't
16:39
break her neck, Dad." Or, "Don't break her neck again, Dad." He's just like, "Why would you say that?"
16:45
Don't break your neck. She does have my dark humor. Yeah, he's doing good. He can work again, which is
16:52
ideal. Um, like work around the farm. I don't have to do everything. Why? Okay. Why is everyone in here
16:58
asking about slime? Oh. because I posted about slime earlier. So, um if you didn't know,
Why Slime Is a Parent’s Nightmare
17:03
slime is a parent's Matt, you'll learn come to learn this. Um slime is a parent's worst nightmare. If you I'm
17:10
gonna talk to the camera. If you are a parent sending slime home with other children, like you're give you're gifting slime.
17:18
I have no words for you. No, it's the worst. It is the absolute worst. Okay. It gets on I Do you know how many kids
17:23
I've seen get their hair chopped off? girls with hair chop up to here cuz slime touched it one time and then it
17:29
like adheres to it. Anyways, so my daughter had some slime in her playroom, hidden slime in a little container.
17:35
Has slime been like a a banned substance in your home? Slime and kinetic sand is not welcome in our home. Never will it be welcome? And
17:43
so, uh, she had the slime. Oh, yeah. I opened the playroom door and she went with the slime cuz she was
17:48
busted and she dropped it onto her Barefoot Dreams like shaw that you bought her
17:53
and it just stuck to it. So she's trying to pull it off and it's just stuck and there's this bright green blob. Of
18:00
course she starts crying. She's like I can never have slime again. I was like true. You were never supposed to have the slime. So the slime went to the
18:06
trash. But I found a solution. So if if your kid gets into slime, white vinegar, like I soaked it in white vinegar and
18:12
then got boiling hot water and just poured it over it and over it and it just disintegrated like instantly. So
18:18
you're such a mom for that because I would I would never I'd be like well your favorite things in the trash now.
18:23
Like you're such a mom for being like here's this I found this remedy. I just I don't think I'm a remedy finder.
18:31
You were trying to I don't think I'm a remedy finder. What's their favorite if they were crying? I don't know. Oh, I think I'd be like,
18:36
"Well, that's what you get for slime." No. So, yeah, that works. White vinegar,
18:42
hot water, just douse your kid's head and boil. No, I'm just kidding. And then the slime will come out. It's full. It
18:48
is stained. Has a green stain on it. But she can live with that. She can live with a stain. That'll be like her reminder forever of her crimes.
18:55
Yeah. It came home from school. A kids another family sent slime home with all the kids.
19:00
Secret. It's so funny that we're best friends because we're so opposite in so
Cooking, Budgeting, and Real Life
19:06
many different ways. And one of the ways that we are opposite is that you're such a good cook and I'm I'm not. So what
19:13
like what made you want to be a good cook? Like what made you get interested in it? Or have you always just known
19:19
what works? Like what? Uh I think being what do they call them? Like something like what what's our
19:25
generation called where we just let oursel in the house? Key kids or something like that. Is there a term for it?
19:31
Yeah. lock key kids or something some latch key latch key kids. So basically like I got off the school bus.
19:37
He's younger than I am. 28. He's younger than I am.
19:42
I'm thinking of Nate being older. So I think just like me and my brother cooked a lot in the evenings like we got
19:48
home from school and it was just like us. Mhm. Like and then the summers my parents went to work and it was like we were just left at home like
19:54
everybody was. Um, so I started cooking then and enjoyed it and I would make like muffin like I'd bake during the day
20:00
at like seven, eight years old while my mom and dad were gone. Um, but honestly, this this is going to like sound bad,
20:06
but like Evans always liked somebody to like cook for him and so I started learning new recipes like when we were
20:12
dating like it was like a big thing when he would like because he traveled for work and so he ate out like when you live in a hotel room you
20:18
eat out every meal. Yeah. I don't think that sounds bad. Okay. So, like he was in a hotel room 5
20:23
days a week and then he coming home to like real food was a big deal. Like he did not want to and it was kind of it
20:29
was like a little tension at some point cuz on the weekends I'd be like I want to go out. I want to eat out. And he's like I've ate nothing but food out three
20:36
meals a day for 5 days. So, um it was just always like I always had a big nice dinner planned for when
20:41
he arrived home on Fridays. And this was like while we were dating. And then um
20:46
before he would leave town on Sundays, I'd make him a big nice meal. And then once we like were engaged and married
20:51
and things, I would I started cooking all of his food for the week and just sending it in coolers so he could reheat
20:57
food in his room. Yeah. Instead of eating out three meals a day. I mean, obviously to the best you can like preheat pre-made food doesn't always
21:03
work out, but there were certain things that did well. And so that's what really got me into it was just like like he his grandmother is
21:09
an amazing cook and so that was kind of like the standard was like I had to make up for like some true like
21:16
southern cooking. Yeah. And so I really I dove off into it and now I mean there's there's a lot of heavy cooking
21:22
going on. I know I if I don't I I've learned if I want y'all to eat with us or something
21:27
like that I have to there's no like oh last minute because you've already been cooking for three hours.
21:33
Yeah. I would say I I cook a minimum of two hours a day. Yeah. And most meals are planned at least
21:39
seven to 10 days in advance. But you're also so good at that with you need to you need to start a part of your content
21:46
around your budgeting hacks because you're so strict with it too. And I like there's been times where like she sticks
21:53
to this dollar amount and if it's like a dollar over she puts away her own like
21:58
you put away your own chapstick or your own whatever. Like you stick to this specific budget and you have this like
22:05
map of when the deli is on sale for this when the meat is on like I don't know. And so you need to make that a part of
22:12
your thing. Yep. I think I don't know. I've always just like numbers and budgeting.
22:17
Is that a part of your thing? And I just don't watch your stuff enough. Oh, not really. No, not the budgeting piece because there are weeks that like
22:23
things happen. Especially I feel like more now like I've taken on more responsibility with content and stuff and more animals. Um that we might have
22:29
more like I don't know what I'm making tonight. Like that does happen more often. But for the most part um now I'm
22:35
pretty I'm pretty strict. Like there's no if if we're over budget, there's no fun stuff for the week.
22:41
Yeah. Like I'll make cookies at home. We're not getting ice cream, right? Or you know, whatever it is, right? Which y'all are a big ice cream
22:47
family. We have dessert every single night. Seven days a week. Have dessert after dinner. But I feel like if you're eating like the girls eat great. Like they eat
22:53
vegetables like they eat better than you do. You know what? Most of the most of
22:58
everybody eats better than I do. That's fine. Vegetables. If they were not eating like a protein, like a well-rounded meal,
23:04
three meals a day, I would not let them have dessert every night. But I don't think a little bowl of ice cream hurts
23:09
every night. I mean, it's not like they're eating a whole cake. No. Yeah. A little sweet zone. That's probably a little bit better
23:15
balance, too, than like depriving and then you get it one day and then you have to like have the whole
23:20
We did it as sometimes foods and all the times foods because I feel like people when I was growing up, my parents like
23:25
restricted me on like Cokes and now I'm like a fiend. Like you can't like because I never got to have it. You
23:30
know what I mean? So when I was like old enough to like go out and buy a Coke, I was like, "By the way, I'm I'm restocking. I
23:36
promise." She's been without Diet Cokes. Have you been feeling it too, Matt? I know.
23:41
No, he went in there. There was no Coke Zero. He likes Coke Zero. And there wasn't one. And he had to
23:46
drink a Pepsi. I drank a Pepsi yesterday. Full all 180 calories of it straight
23:51
down the shoot. I do like a lime in my Diet Coke. And the number of times you've seen me disappointed cuz they put a lemon. cuz they put a
23:57
lemon in it and I'm like not the same. Sonic is diet coke with a lime. Yeah. Uh which we ordered Sonic. So it's
24:04
sitting down there waiting on us right now. Um okay. So another thing is you know like
24:09
have you seen those videos where it's like Yeah. I don't know what my best friend's favorite color is. I just know her childhood trauma. Um
24:16
that's like us. Yeah. We know each other's trauma. And so one of the things is like I know
Animal Identification Quiz
24:24
so much about you and you know so much about me but I don't I don't really have
24:29
faith in how well you know my animals and one thing that was asked was that I
24:36
quiz you so I've already set you up. I've already
24:41
set you up. And I do think there are some I think you're going to be fine with the horses that were born within the last that that were not born last
24:48
year. Um but that's that's not how kind I'm going to be. We're going to be mean. Um I don't think you know my goats. I
24:54
don't think you know the mini cows. I I think you know the OG horses and the
25:00
OG horses only. Okay. So I'm going to pull up a couple pictures.
25:05
We're going off pictures. We're going off of pictures. Okay. Is that gonna Is that worse or That's way worse.
25:12
I thought you were going to say like who's so and so's baby. Oh, no, no, no. We're going off of pictures.
25:18
All right. So bad. Okay. I do like her. Okay.
25:24
Who's this?
25:33
Yes. Good. I guess you don't have to write it. I guess you could just say it. I can just say it. Okay. I guess you could just say it. I I I
25:38
guess the writing is more for if there's multiple people. Okay, I'll just say it. It's B. It's B. You're right. Okay, she gets
25:44
one. She gets one. Let me screenshot her. I think it's going to be the FO that get
25:50
me. Say less. Hold on. If there was lesser,
25:57
there was eight of them last year and there's going to be a lot of them this year. They were all red. Does Does Matt even know who these these
26:03
are? Not a not a Is this this Was that last year? I don't know where. I couldn't tell you if it was last year
26:08
or this year. It was last year. Who is that? Who is that?
26:15
I kept it, too. You kept it. I kept it. It's Ted.
26:20
I didn't keep Ted. Oh, no. Ted went to Matt.
26:27
No. No. Who? Ruby went to Meline. Okay. It's I'm getting flustered. It's um Ted.
26:37
It's not Huckleberry. It's not Noel.
26:42
The last one. It was the last one born. Who is the mom? Happy. I'm just giving you all the freaking
26:48
Oh, it's um I wanted to name her Bunny. What's her name? Um it's Millie.
26:53
It is Millie. Millie. You kept Millie? Yes. She's my favorite one out of the group.
27:01
They don't see what I see. Nobody believes me with who's the nicest. I mean, I'm just nice.
27:07
Okay. Wasn't my fave. All right. So, we're gonna go to that. That stumped
27:14
you. That stumped you. You're not going to get this one. I'm right.
27:19
Squirt. Who's this?
27:24
Starts with a P. Of course it does, cuz they all start with a P. Don't even play that. Who's that?
27:29
Penelope. No, there's no cow named Penelope. That was my guess.
27:35
Get back in your corner. That was my guess. Who did you say? I said that was my guess.
27:42
It's not P. No, hang on. It starts I know.
27:48
You're like, it starts with a P. We know.
27:58
I know. I think it's Peanut. You saw me. No, I thought I said Peanut. You saw me. I thought What's the little brown one's
28:05
name? That's Peanut. I thought the little brown one. The little one. This is Peanut. Why is she that color? Cuz she grew.
28:12
I haven't seen her. She grew up. That was her like last week. I thought she was like a chocolate colored.
28:17
You're thinking of a different one. What's the chocolate colored ones? Okay. Who's that?
28:23
That's the one I'm talking about. Okay. Who is it? Posie. Okay, that's Posie. You're right. just
28:29
pulled that straight. Like I knew it wasn't Poppy or Patunia
28:35
or Pipa. I know them very well. Okay. Um
28:42
Oh, who's this? It's Kirby. Okay.
28:47
Yeah, that is Kirby. You don't have very many bays. Okay, we're going to get off of uh off
28:53
of those. I I guess I guess I think it's the goats that mostly get you. No, you're not
28:59
going to be able to tell between my donkeys. There's no way. No, there's no way. I can take Dolly. You give me all three
29:05
in a row. Who's that? It's Blanch. No,
29:11
she have blue. Look at her eyes. It's just Snowy in this picture. Well, it's not Dolly, so it's Dorothy.
29:16
It is Dorothy. Yeah. Process of elimination. That is true. You can do that with a lot
29:21
of my stuff. Um, okay. We're gonna only just do one
29:26
more. And you're just not going to get it. I already know though. I I know with so certainty that
29:32
you're not. What year was it born? Last year.
29:39
Oh. Um, it's Merida. How the How did you get that? Well,
29:46
look at the screen. It says Merida on the picture.
29:54
Thanks. That's how I got. Okay. Well, I would have better than I thought. I
29:59
would have I was gonna say Leona, but Leona's like that's her grandma. I'm going to do one more goat just because I want you to
30:06
fail. Just because I want you to fail.
30:11
Make chicken. See if the name is on there. It's Blossom or Buttercup.
30:17
Which one? It's blossom.
30:22
It is. I hate you. She thinks I don't know her at all. I thought for sure because you like to
30:28
play this game like you're like I'm too cool. I don't watch your stuff. I don't know you.
30:33
And it's just the FO. They all looked the same last year. You have to admit they did not.
30:39
Noel and Kirby were the only two that didn't look the same. Once they got to like two, three months
30:45
old and they were like shed out a little bit. They all looked so different. Matt, besides Noel and Kirby, do they not all
30:51
look like red? I'm probably worse off than you. Like, I don't I don't see horse color. I just
30:57
see a horse. He's horse color blind. He's horse color. They're all They're all yellow. All of my mayors are happy
31:04
or Yeah. Go find go grab go grab into the pasture and grab the red horse. Okay,
31:10
that's all minus three. Last year they really got me. I don't know why last year's were
31:16
We've We've expanded in color. That is true. We now have some grays and some buckskins and
31:22
they all have red babies, so it doesn't matter. That's what I'm saying. They were all red. We have Okay, so the baby that Raven's
31:29
carrying could be gray. It's not going to come out gray, though. No. Uh next year is we're going to have like
31:35
possible colored babies. Like we might have some like butter, you know, buttercups. We might have some buckskins. We might have some palaminos.
31:42
We might have uh maybe some a lot more white on them like that thing, you know, next year, but
31:49
Okay. Well, you you beat it. So, I did say there was going to be a little bit of news. We'll end this out with this. So, I'm going to be a little
A Little Surprise News
31:57
vague, I guess, but I just want to I'm so excited about it that I want to tell people because I,
32:04
you know, I have a lot of people being like, "You just have all these horses and you don't ride." It's not because I don't want to, trust me. So, I've
32:11
mentioned that we have like an on-site trainer coming. She's starting in February. We're going to be breaking, you know, Molly and Daphne and Wall-E
32:18
all on property. It's going to be really, really cool to see. It's going to be fun to have someone helping keep
32:23
the the riding horses leg up. So, you know, riding Kennedy, riding Ethel, right? You know, Annie, I think, is
32:28
going to have a break. So, you know, Annie be back into riding those kinds of horses. Gracie, I think Grace will be
32:35
fun. And so with that being said, I'll have these horses to ride at home that will have me be like back in, you know,
32:43
the swing of things and I got this opportunity to
32:49
um I'm not going to say it's going to be longterm, but that I could buy this
32:56
horse and show it. And it was kind of a, you know, hey, this is an older horse,
33:04
been there, done that. We know that Denver is up and coming and that he's probably not going to be showing the
33:09
western riding with you this year because he's like being finished and you
33:14
know if you want to dip your toe back in into western riding into trail like those kinds of things this would be a
33:21
really cool horse. You should you should try it. And so and then you know you could train under this person that
33:26
you've respected for a really long time. And so I said yes. And I get to go meet
33:32
this horse and ride it for the first time in I think if if all the mayors start cooperating at some point. We'll
33:38
go ride it for a little bit in February and then go back in March and then show in April.
33:44
So I'm not just going to be showing Denver. I'm not just going to be going and watch like we have Penelopey and
33:50
Weezy to watch this year. I have a horse that I'll be showing in the Western Riding and the Trail that
33:55
only it's an older horse. They don't want it to be shown to death. Like it's just, you know, it's it's a kind of a
34:04
not to say it's gonna be easy because horses are horses. They're animals, right? But this horse knows its job
34:09
super well and it'll be a way for me to gain confidence back in the arena, get back in there, have one that isn't a
34:16
baby, you know, because while western riding was a probably my strength, like western riding and equitation were my
34:21
strengths. Um, and like I've been top 10 at the Congress every year I've shown in it, except it's been 10 years.
34:29
Yeah, 10 years is a long freaking time. And so to get back into it before I show Denver, uh, this is going to be a really
34:35
cool opportunity. So that's all I'm giving you for right now. But it's it's gonna be fun. And the horse's name is
34:43
I'm really excited. It's going to be a little bit of a surprise, but uh, yeah, I think that's it for today. Thank you
Wrap-Up
34:48
for last minute jumping out of the shower and coming over to be on this because we're struggling this week. Um and hopefully
34:55
Raven has her baby before this is aired. Like if it's not if she hasn't I'm I don't even know. I'm like she's day 341
35:02
days today. So she's over that. There's like a storm coming in tonight. Not thunder lightning.
35:07
She's going to wait till we have snow. Snow and it's like miserable. Yes. Absolutely. So hope youall enjoyed
35:13
today's episode. Buck, welcome to the team. You have any questions for Buck specifically for next week, let us know.
35:21
And I hope you all have a great time and I hope you enjoyed the episode.
